परमेश्वर के वचन से उचित व्यवहार – 12
पौलुस से परमेश्वर के वचन का उपयोग और उसके प्रति व्यवहार को सीखते हुए, हमने पिछले लेख में 1 कुरिन्थियों 4:6 को देखना आरम्भ किया था। इस पद में हमने देखा था कि पौलुस ने स्वयं को तथा अपुल्लोस को उदाहरण बनाकर, परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति उनके द्वारा पालन किए जाने वाले दो सिद्धान्त बताए थे। पहला सिद्धान्त था कि परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखे हुए से आगे न बढ़ना। और दूसरा सिद्धान्त था कि किसी को भी उन दोनों, या अन्य किसी भी परमेश्वर के सेवक को, परस्पर एक-दूसरे से बेहतर या बढ़कर नहीं समझना है। साथ ही कलीसिया के लोगों को किसी भी मनुष्य का अनुसरण कभी नहीं करना है, केवल प्रभु परमेश्वर का ही अनुसरण करना है। हमने, पिछले लेख में, दूसरे सिद्धांत को पहले देख लिया था, और आज हम इस पद में कहे गए पहले सिद्धान्त के बारे में देखेंगे।
पहले सिद्धान्त को देखते हुए, पहले हम पौलुस द्वारा कही गई इस बात की पृष्ठभूमि को देखते हैं।

प्रभु यीशु ने फरीसियों के एक सरदार, निकुदेमुस से बल देकर यह कहा था कि नया जन्म पाए बिना कोई परमेश्वर के राज्य को देख भी नहीं सकता है, उसमें प्रवेश करना तो दूर की बात है (यूहन्ना 3:3, 5, 7)। जब निकुदेमुस ने इस पर अचरज किया, और उसे हँसी में टालने का प्रयास किया, तब प्रभु ने बहुत गंभीरता से निकुदेमुस से प्रश्न किया “तू इस्राएलियों का गुरु हो कर भी क्या इन बातों को नहीं समझता?” (यूहन्ना 3:10)। दूसरे शब्दों में, पवित्र शास्त्र का अच्छा ज्ञाता और परमेश्वर के वचन की शिक्षाएँ सिखाने वाला होने के नाते, निकुदेमुस से अपेक्षा थी कि वह प्रभु द्वारा नया जन्म पाने की बात को, तथा किसी व्यक्ति के स्वर्ग में प्रवेश पाने के बारे में जानता और समझता होगा।
अपने पुनरुत्थान के बाद, अपने दो शिष्यों के साथ इम्माऊस के मार्ग पर वार्तालाप करते हुए, प्रभु ने सम्पूर्ण पवित्र शास्त्र में उसके बारे में जो लिखा गया है, उन्हें बताया (लूका 24:27)।
अपने स्वर्गारोहण के समय, अपने शिष्यों को दी गई अपनी महान आज्ञा में, प्रभु यीशु ने एक बार फिर उन से बल देकर सारे सँसार में जाने और शिष्य बनाने के लिए कहा, और उन शिष्यों को जो कुछ प्रभु ने सिखाया था, वही सिखाने के लिए कहा (मत्ती 28:19-20)।
प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों से यह भी कहा था कि उनका सहायक होने के लिए वह पवित्र आत्मा को भेजेगा, और पवित्र आत्मा का एक कार्य होगा कि उसके शिष्यों को प्रभु यीशु के वचनों, अर्थात उसने जो उन्हें सिखाया था, उस को स्मरण करवाए (यूहन्ना 14:16, 26)।
तो, इस प्रकार से हम देखते हैं कि न केवल पौलुस और अपुल्लोस को, वरन प्रभु के अन्य सभी शिष्यों को, तब भी और आज भी, परमेश्वर की ओर से उनकी सेवकाई के लिये पर्याप्त संसाधन उपलब्ध करवा दिए गए हैं। ये संसाधन हैं, तब और अब उपलब्ध परमेश्वर के वचन, उस वचन की उचित समझ-बूझ, और सहायक तथा शिक्षक परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा जो प्रभु यीशु के प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासी में निवास करता है। ताकि परमेश्वर अपने सेवकों को जब भी, जो भी, और जहाँ भी प्रचार करने और सिखाने के लिए कहे, वे उसे बिना किसी हिचक के कर सकें। और इसी बात को 2 पतरस 1:3-4 में कहा गया है कि जीवन से, भक्ति से, संसार की सड़ाहट से बचने, और ईश्वरीय स्वभाव का सम्भागी होने के लिये जो कुछ भी चाहिये, वे सभी बातें परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में पहले से ही उपलब्ध करवा दी हैं। और इसलिये किसी को भी प्रभु की सेवकाई के लिये कोई भी नई बात माँगने, या अपने मन से गढ़ने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। और न ही किसी को अपनी ही समझ के अनुसार कोई भिन्न व्याख्या करने की आवश्यकता है, क्योंकि पवित्रशास्त्र स्वयं ही अपनी सर्वोत्तम व्याख्या करता है।
अगले लेख में हम उपरोक्त तथ्यों के पौलुस तथा अपुल्लोस, तथा तब और अब के अन्य प्रभु के शिष्यों की सेवकाई में व्यवहारिक उपयोगिता के बारे में देखेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Appropriately Handling God’s Word – 12
In learning from Paul about utilizing and handling the Word of God, in the previous article we had started looking at 1 Corinthians 4:6. We had seen from this verse, that using himself and Apollos as examples, Paul states two principles that they followed about utilizing God’s Word. The first principle was not to go beyond what is written. The second principle was that no one was to consider either of them, or any of God’s ministers, as better than another. And none was to follow any man, but only the Lord God. We had seen about the second principle first, in the previous article, and today we will be considering the first principle stated in this verse.
In considering the first principle, let us first look at the background of this statement from Paul.
Paul, as we know, was a Pharisee, from the family of Pharisees (Acts 23:6), and had been trained under the renowned teacher of that time, Gamaliel (Acts 23:6). Similarly, Apollos too, was well versed in the Scriptures, and an eloquent man (Acts 18:24-25). So, both of them knew the Scriptures, i.e., what is now the Old Testament for us, very well.
The Lord Jesus, during His earthly ministry had very clearly said to the Jews, that the Scriptures testified of Him; and Moses wrote about Him (John 5:39, 46).
In His conversation with Nicodemus, a leader of the Pharisees, the Lord Jesus had categorically stated to Nicodemus that without being Born-Again, he too would not even see the Kingdom of God, let alone enter in it (John 3:3, 5, 7). When Nicodemus expressed surprise at this, tried to laugh it away, the Lord very seriously, asked Nicodemus the question, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?” (John 3:10). In other words, as one well versed in the Scriptures, and teaching God’s Word to the people of God, Nicodemus was expected to know what the Lord meant by his having to be Born-Again, and how a person would enter the Kingdom of God.
After His resurrection, in the conversation with two of His disciples, on the road to Emmaus, He had expounded to them from all the Scriptures the things concerning Him (Luke 24:27).
At the time of His ascension, in His Great Commission to His disciples, the Lord Jesus once again emphatically told them to go into the world and make disciples, and to those new disciples, teach all that He, the Lord, had taught them (Matthew 28:19-20).
The Lord had also told His disciples that He will send the Holy Spirit to be with them as helper, and one of the functions of the Holy Spirit will be to remind them of the Words of the Lord Jesus, i.e., what He had taught them (John 14:16, 26).
So, we see that not only to Paul and Apollos, but even to the other disciples of the Lord, then as well as now, God has provided ample resources to them for their ministries. These resources are, God’s Word - then as well as now, a proper understanding of God’s Word, and God the Holy Spirit, residing in every Born-Again Believer of Lord Jesus Christ, to be their Helper and Teacher. This is so that as and when God asks His ministers to preach and teach, wherever, whenever, and whatever God wants them to, they would be able to do so, without any problems. This is also affirmed from 2 Peter 1:3-4, where it is said that everything pertaining to life, to godliness, to escape the corruption of the world, and to be partakers of divine nature, has already been provided by God in His Word. Therefore, for serving the Lord, now no one needs to ask God for anything new, nor needs to contrive anything on their own. Neither does anyone need to bring in any newer interpretations according to their own understanding, sins the Scripture is its own best interpreter.
In the next article, we will learn about the application of the above facts to the ministry of Paul, Apollos and the other disciples, then, as well as now.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
