सुसमाचार को अप्रभावी करने वाली कुछ गलत शिक्षाएँ
हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं (इफिसियों 4:14)। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, “यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता”, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है।
पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, पहले तो प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखा; फिर उसके बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखा; और अब पिछले कुछ लेखों से हमने सुसमाचार से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है, जिससे कि हम सही सुसमाचार क्या है देख और समझ सकें और गलत या भ्रष्ट को पहचान सकें, ताकि स्वयं भी गलत से बच कर रह सकें तथा औरों को भी बचा सकें। इस संदर्भ में पिछले लेख में हमने सुसमाचार के विषय भ्रम और गलत शिक्षाएं को पहचानने के आधार को देखा था। आज हम सच्चे और उद्धार देने वाले सुसमाचार के शैतान द्वारा बिगाड़े जाने, भ्रष्ट किए जाने, और विभिन्न रीतियों से अप्रभावी किए जाने वाली आम युक्तियों के बारे में देखेंगे।
सुसमाचार को अप्रभावी करने के लिए शैतान की गलत शिक्षाएं और बातें
हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि सुसमाचार का सार 1 कुरिन्थियों 15:1-4 में दिया गया है। तात्पर्य यह, कि जिस भी सुसमाचार प्रचार में इन पदों की बातें नहीं हैं, या इन पदों की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डाली गई हैं, अर्थात, इन पदों में से कुछ घटाया या बढ़ाया गया है, वह “सुसमाचार” भ्रष्ट है, बिगाड़ा हुआ है, अस्वीकार्य है, क्योंकि वह अप्रभावी है! ये पद और उनके तथ्य हमारे लिए सुसमाचार संबंधित हर शिक्षा को जाँचने और परखने की कसौटी प्रदान करते हैं।
इन बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, हम संक्षेप में देखेंगे कि शैतान किस प्रकार से अपनी युक्तियों में हमें फंसा कर, परमेश्वर की बात से हमारा ध्यान अपनी बात की ओर लाकर और उसे मनवाकर, हमारे लिए सुसमाचार को अप्रभावी कर देता है।
सुसमाचार के बारे में सामान्यतः पाई जाने वाले गलत धारणाएं है:
सुसमाचार केवल गैर-मसीहियों के लिए, जो ईसाई नहीं हैं, उन्हीं के लिए है: वास्तविकता में सुसमाचार संसार के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए है, चाहे उसका धर्म, धारणा, मान्यता कुछ भी हो; ईसाइयों या मसीहियों के लिए भी (प्रेरितों 17:30-31)। सभी को उसके लिए व्यक्तिगत रीति से निर्णय लेना है।
ईसाई धर्म और उससे संबंधित रीतियों के निर्वाह से सुसमाचार का भी पालन हो जाता है: वास्तविकता में किसी भी प्रकार की कोई भी औपचारिकता के निर्वाह के द्वारा सुसमाचार का पालन नहीं होता है। सुसमाचार का व्यक्ति के जीवन में कार्यकारी होना उसके सच्चे समर्पित मन से अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप और प्रभु यीशु से पापों के क्षमा माँगकर उसे समर्पित हो जाने से आरंभ होता है। यही बात इस बात को प्रकट करती है कि यह बारंबार दोहराया जाने वाला कोई धार्मिक अनुष्ठान नहीं है, वरन यदि सच्चे और समर्पित मन से किया जाए तो यह जीवन में एक बार लिया जाने वाला निर्णय है। सच्चे मन से सुसमाचार को स्वीकार करने से, वास्तविकता में मसीही विश्वासी होने का जीवन, मसीह को समर्पित और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता के जीवन का आरंभ होता है।
प्रभु यीशु मसीह से चंगाई प्राप्त करना भी सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करने और प्रभु का जन हो जाने का प्रमाण है: प्रभु यीशु ने जिसने चाही, उन सभी चंगाई दी, किसी से कोई भेदभाव नहीं किया (प्रेरितों 10:38)। किन्तु जिन्हें प्रभु ने चंगा किया था, पिलातुस एक सामने वे ही लोग बहुत ज़ोर देकर उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने की माँग करने लगे, और उसे क्रूस पर मरवा दिया। वे अपने स्वार्थ के लिए यीशु के जुड़े साथ हुए थे; सच्चे मन से प्रभु को समर्पण नहीं किया था; प्रभु के जन नहीं बने थे। कुछ यही आज भी होता है, लोग प्रभु यीशु के नाम में चंगाई तो प्राप्त कर लेते हैं, किन्तु बहुत ही कम ऐसे होते हैं जो उसे समर्पण करते हैं और उसकी अधीनता में जीवन जीने का निर्णय करते हैं।
प्रभु यीशु मसीह और उसके वचन के बारे में ज्ञान में बढ़ना, सुसमाचार का पालन करने के समान है: बाइबल के और प्रभु परमेश्वर के बारे में संसार में सांसारिक ज्ञान की बहुत सी बातें और शिक्षाएं हैं उपलब्ध और प्रचलित, और यह सांसारिक ज्ञान लोगों को प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास में नहीं लाता है, वरन परमेश्वर और उसके वचन पर संदेह उत्पन्न करके उन से दूर करता है। इसी प्रकार से बाइबल कॉलेज और सेमनरियों से शिक्षा पाने वाला हर जन प्रभु का सच्चा समर्पित विश्वासी नहीं होता है। बहुत से लोगों के लिए यह शिक्षा-दीक्षा केवल नौकरी करने और सांसारिक कमाई का एक साधन है। न वे स्वयं प्रभु को समर्पित होते हैं, न औरों को यह सिखाते हैं; वरन धर्म-कर्म-अनुष्ठानों की औपचारिकता के निर्वाह के द्वारा ही काम चलाते रहने की शिक्षाओं में उलझे और उलझाए रखते हैं। वे स्वयं भी नरक के भागी हैं, और जाने कितनों को नरक का भागी बना दे रहे हैं।
चंगाइयों और आश्चर्यकर्मों को करना प्रभु की सामर्थ्य का और प्रभु के सुसमाचार के पालन करने का प्रमाण है: इस धारणा को मानने वालों को मत्ती 7:21-23 पर बहुत गंभीरता से ध्यान और मनन करना चाहिए। मत्ती में उल्लेखित उन लोगों ने प्रभु यीशु के नाम से बहुत कुछ किया, किन्तु प्रभु यीशु ने अंत में उन्हें “कुकर्म करने वाले” कह दिया, और यह भी कह दिया कि प्रभु ने उन्हें कभी नहीं जाना था। यहूदा इस्करियोती भी अन्य शिष्यों के साथ प्रचार और चंगाई की सेवकाइयों में गया था, इन अभियानों में सम्मिलित होकर कार्य किया था, और किसी को भी उस पर कभी संदेह नहीं हुआ। किन्तु उसमें इस सामर्थ्य के होने और उसके द्वारा इसे उपयोग करने के बावजूद, न तो उसका जीवन बदला, और न ही वह वास्तव में कभी प्रभु का जन बना; अन्ततः उसे धोखा देकर पकड़वा दिया, मरवा दिया। ये बातें सुसमाचार को मानने का प्रमाण नहीं हैं, क्योंकि शैतान भी ऐसी ही बातों के द्वारा लोगों को भरमाता है, तथा प्रभु भी इन बातों में रुचि और विश्वास रखने वालों को उन आत्माओं के वक्ष में कर देता है (2 थिस्सलुनीकियों 2:9-11)।
सुसमाचार प्रचार में मनुष्यों के ज्ञान और समझ को मिलाना भी सुसमाचार को व्यर्थ और अप्रभावी कर देता है: पिछले लेख में कही गई निर्गमन 20:24-25 की बात को ध्यान कीजिए - जहाँ मनुष्य परमेश्वर की बात को सुधारने और सँवारने का प्रयास करते हैं, उसे अशुद्ध और अनुपयोगी कर देते हैं। पौलुस ने अपनी सेवकाई के विषय लिखा, “क्योंकि मसीह ने मुझे बपतिस्मा देने को नहीं, वरन सुसमाचार सुनाने को भेजा है, और यह भी शब्दों के ज्ञान के अनुसार नहीं, ऐसा न हो कि मसीह का क्रूस व्यर्थ ठहरे” (1 कुरिन्थियों 1:17)। सुसमाचार को उसकी सादगी, स्पष्टता, और शुद्धता में, जैसा वह है, वैसा ही दिया जाना है; अन्यथा मनुष्य की किसी भी बात की मिलावट के द्वारा वह अशुद्ध और अप्रभावी, परमेश्वर के उद्देश्यों के लिए अनुपयोगी हो जाता है।
सुसमाचार में भले कार्यों का योगदान सिखाना भी उसे भ्रष्ट और अप्रभावी करना है। वचन में यह स्पष्ट लिखा और सिखाया गया है कि कोई भी व्यक्ति किसी भी प्रकार के भले कार्यों के द्वारा या कैसे भी कर्मों से उद्धार नहीं पा सकता है; यह केवल और केवल विश्वास द्वारा ही हो सकता है, क्योंकि उद्धार परमेश्वर से कमाया नहीं जा सकता है, उसे केवल उसके अनुग्रह के दान के रूप में परमेश्वर से स्वीकार किया जा सकता है: “जब हम अपराधों के कारण मरे हुए थे, तो हमें मसीह के साथ जिलाया; (अनुग्रह ही से तुम्हारा उद्धार हुआ है।); क्योंकि विश्वास के द्वारा अनुग्रह ही से तुम्हारा उद्धार हुआ है, और यह तुम्हारी ओर से नहीं, वरन परमेश्वर का दान है” (इफिसियों 2:5, 8)। मनुष्य के सभी भले कार्य परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में मैले चिथड़ों के समान हैं, “हम तो सब के सब अशुद्ध मनुष्य के से हैं, और हमारे धर्म के काम सब के सब मैले चिथड़ों के समान हैं। हम सब के सब पत्ते के समान मुर्झा जाते हैं, और हमारे अधर्म के कामों ने हमें वायु के समान उड़ा दिया है” (यशायाह 64:6); वे किसी भी रीति से परमेश्वर के शुद्ध और पवित्र कार्य को संवार नहीं सकते हैं; बिगाड़ अवश्य सकते हैं, और बिगाड़ते भी हैं।
सुसमाचार का उद्देश्य भली मनसा और भले कार्य करना समझाना है: यह शिक्षा देना मनुष्यों को भरमाना है, क्योंकि संसार भर में ऐसे अनेकों लोग हैं और हुए हैं जो मसीही विश्वास में नहीं हैं और न ही सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करते हैं; किन्तु उनके जीवन नैतिकता के भले कार्यों तथा औरों की भलाई करने से भरे हुए हैं, और इसके लिए वे लोगों में बहुत आदरणीय हैं, सुविख्यात हैं। अर्थात, भले कार्य और भलाई करना सुसमाचार से नहीं है; व्यक्ति का विवेक और मानसिकता भी उसे इनके लिए प्रेरित और कार्यकारी कर सकती है, करती है। क्योंकि न्याय के दिन प्रभु यीशु मसीह के द्वारा, सुसमाचार के आधार पर ही लोगों का न्याय होगा, “जिस दिन परमेश्वर मेरे सुसमाचार के अनुसार यीशु मसीह के द्वारा मनुष्यों की गुप्त बातों का न्याय करेगा” (रोमियों 2:16), इसलिए सुसमाचार का उद्देश्य लोगों को भले कामों के लिए प्रेरित करना नहीं, उन्हें उद्धार पाने के लिए प्रेरित करना है, प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है।
यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप प्रभु परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार से संबंधित किसी गलत शिक्षाओं धारणाओं में न पड़े हों। यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए कि आपने सच्चे सुसमाचार पर सच्चा विश्वास किया है, आप सच्चे पश्चाताप और समर्पण तथा सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा के द्वारा परमेश्वर के जन बने हैं। न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाली ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें, यदि सही हों, तब ही उन्हें मानें, अन्यथा अस्वीकार कर दें।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Satan’s Wrong Teachings To Render the Gospel Ineffective
We have been seeing in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it!” In this verse a very important way to identify the false and the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.
In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, next we had seen the Biblical facts and teachings about the wrong things often taught and preached regarding the Holy Spirit. Now, we have started to take up the wrong teachings about the Gospel. For this we first need to know, learn, and understand the correct or Biblical things about the Gospel. In the Introduction to this topic, we had seen that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus is not about any earthly kingdom, wealth or prosperity, but about man being able to enter the kingdom of God. We had seen that the first step to man’s entering God’s kingdom is his repenting of sins, which is equally important and applicable for everybody, no matter what their religion, beliefs, notions, or community may be; even if your family has been “christian” for many generations and you may be considering yourself as “people of God.” In the last article we moved ahead from here, and saw what the Gospel is, what it means; that it is an information from God for entire mankind, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, age, belief etc. for being saved from sins freely through the Lord Jesus. It is not a tradition, ritual, or method, the fulfillment of which enables a person to reach a higher level of being “religious” or “righteous” so that God becomes compelled to give him an entrance into His kingdom. The Gospel becomes effective and working in a person’s life by his repenting of his sins, asking the Lord Jesus to forgive him, and surrendering his life to the Lord Jesus. Today we will see the various ploys and devices that Satan uses to corrupt and spoil the true and life-giving Gospel, and renders it ineffective.
Gospel - Satan’s Ploys and Devices for Making it Ineffective
We had seen in the previous article that the core of the Gospel is given to us in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. The implication is that any preaching of the Gospel, that does not incorporate the matter of these verses, or has things other than what these verses say, i.e., if anything has been added to or subtracted from this core of the Gospel, that ‘gospel’ is corrupted, has been spoilt, is unacceptable, and is ineffective. These verses provide to us the standard to test and evaluate every teaching related to the Gospel.
Keeping these things in mind, we will see, in brief, the various ploys and devices Satan uses to entangle us in his deviousness, diverts our attention away from God and His Word, and beguiles us into following what he says; thereby rendering the Gospel ineffective in people’s lives.
The commonly held misunderstandings about the Gospel and salvation are:
The Gospel is only for the non-Christians, and not for the Christians. The Biblical fact is that the Gospel is for every person of the world, irrespective of their religion, belief, concepts etc.; even for the “christians”, those who are born in “christian” families (Acts 17:30-31). Everyone has to make a personal decision about it.
By fulfilling the rites and rituals of the Christian religion one also fulfills the Gospel. The Biblical fact is that no fulfillment of any ritual fulfills the Gospel; since the Gospel is not a formality. The fulfillment of the Gospel in the life of a person is by his sincerely repenting of his sins, asking their forgiveness from the Lord Jesus, and surrendering one’s life to Him to live in obedience to Him and His Word. This by itself makes it clear that the sincere and true acceptance of the Gospel by a person can only be a onetime event, it cannot be a ritual to be carried out repetitively. The acceptance of the Gospel begins the lifetime journey of living life as a submitted and committed disciple of Christ, of actually being a Christian.
Receiving healing from the Lord Jesus is also evidence of believing the Gospel and becoming a believer in Christ Jesus. The Biblical fact is that the Lord Jesus healed all those who asked Him to heal them, never made any differentiation of any kind (Acts 10:38). But the very people amongst whom He healed and helped, in front of Pilate were vociferously asking for Him to be crucified and put to death. They were attracted and attached to the Lord Jesus only for their selfish motives; they had never surrendered and committed themselves to the Lord with a sincere heart; they had never become His Believers. Much the same holds true even today, when people receive healing in the name of the Lord, but hardly ever surrender to Him and commit their lives to Him.
To grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus and His Word is similar to obeying the Gospel. The fact is that there is much worldly knowledge available in the world about the Bible and the Lord God, but this worldly knowledge does not bring people into having faith in the Lord Jesus; rather that knowledge often raises doubts about God and His Word and draws people away from the Lord. Similarly, all those who are trained in the Bible colleges and Seminaries are not truly surrendered and committed disciples of the Lord. For many of them, their training and knowledge is simply a means of getting a job and earning a living. Neither are such people committed and surrendered to the Lord, nor do they teach others to do so; all that they do is tell the people to fulfill the religious formalities and obligations, and keep them occupied in that. They are headed to hell themselves, and have destined innumerable others to hell as well.
Being able to do healings and miracles is a proof of having the power of the Lord Jesus and believing in the Gospel. Biblically speaking, those who believe in this notion should pay careful heed and ponder over Matthew 7:21-23. The Lord Jesus says that many people did many things, including miracles and healings and casting out of demons in His name; but eventually, the Lord did not accept them or any of their works, called what they did as “lawlessness” or “iniquity”, and said that He never knew them. Judas Iscariot too went out with the other disciples on their preaching and healing campaigns, worked with the other disciples in them, and no one ever doubted him. But because of this Lord given power in his life, and his having used that power, neither did his own life change, nor did he ever actually become a committed disciple of the Lord. Instead, he eventually betrayed Him and conspired to have the Lord killed. Therefore, we see that these things are not a proof of believing in and accepting the Gospel; Satan beguiles and misleads people through such things; and the Lord too will let those people who do not accept the truth of His Word go into the hands of such deceivers (2 Thessalonians 2:9-11).
Adding things of human wisdom and understanding too corrupts and renders the Gospel vain and ineffective. Review what was written in the previous article about Exodus 20:24-25 - wherever man tries to improve upon what God has done and instructed, he ends up corrupting it and making it unusable and ineffective. Paul wrote about his ministry, “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect” (1 Corinthians 1:17). The Gospel has to be shared just as it is, in its simplicity, clarity, and purity; else any mixing of any human thought and wisdom in it will make it impure and ineffective, unsuitable for the purposes of God.
Teaching the necessity of addition of good works into the Gospel is also corrupting it and rendering it ineffective. It is very clearly written and taught in God’s Word that no person can ever, through any good works or works of any kind, attain to salvation; salvation is only through faith, because salvation cannot ever be earned, but can only be received from the Lord as a gift of His grace: “even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:5, 8). All, each and every one of man’s good works are like filthy rags in the sight of God “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away” (Isaiah 64:6); they can in no way improve or embellish God’s pure and holy works; they can only spoil and corrupt God’s works, and that is all that man’s good works do.
The purpose of the Gospel is not to instruct or teach the philosophy of being good and doing good to be acceptable to God. There always have been and still are innumerable people all over the world who have nothing to do with the Christian Faith, nor with believing in the Gospel; but their lives are full of morality, good works, helping others; and for this they are very well known and honoured. Therefore, being good and doing good is not because of, or through the Gospel; the conscience and mentality of a person too can, and also does encourage a person to do this. But the purpose of the Gospel is to encourage people to repent of their sins and be saved through coming into faith in the Lord Jesus. Because on the day of judgement, everyone will be judged by their response to the Gospel “in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel” (Romans 2:16).
If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
