    साथ ही इस पर भी ध्यान दीजिए कि बाइबल की बातों से प्रचार करना तो शैतान को भी आता है, और वह यह सामान्यतः करता है, तथा करवाता है – इसीलिए तो अनेकों गलत शिक्षाएँ और गलत सिद्धांत तथा धारणाएं ईसाई समाज में व्याप्त हैं, जड़ पकड़े हुए हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3, 13-15; कुलुस्सियों 2:4-8)। शैतान तो इतना धूर्त और बेशर्म है कि प्रभु यीशु को ही गिराने और फंसाने के लिए उसके वचन से उसी को गलत प्रचार करने लगा (मत्ती 4:1-11)। इसलिए इस तर्क के आधार पर कि महिलाएं भी बाइबल का अच्छा ज्ञान और समझ रखती हैं, वे भी बाइबल से अच्छा प्रचार कर लेती हैं, यह प्रमाणित नहीं किया जा सकता है कि उन्हें चर्च में खड़े होकर प्रचार करने की सामर्थ्य और ज्ञान प्रभु ने ही दिया है।

    प्रभु कभी अपने वचन के विरुद्ध कोई बात नहीं करेगा, परन्तु शैतान अवश्य प्रभु के वचन के दुरुपयोग के द्वारा प्रभु के वचन को उसके ही लोगों में होकर, प्रभु के नाम में ही झूठा ठहराएगा, उस वचन का गलत प्रयोग करवाएगा, उसे अविश्वासयोग्य दिखाने का प्रयास करेगा। हम अगले लेख में कुछ और ऐसे ही व्यर्थ तर्कों को देखेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

According to the Bible, Do Women Have the Permission to Serve as Pastors and Preach from the Pulpit in the Church?

Part 5 – Some Arguments Given in Favor of Women - 1

 

    Those who are in favor of the notion that women can preach in the Churches, can become Pastors, give some arguments to justify their stand, and as has been stated in the previous article, they try to justify their stand by misinterpreting the examples of the women in the Bible. From today, we will start examining the arguments commonly given in favor of women.

A popular argument is that since women too have the understanding and knowledge of the Bible, are able to analyze and interpret it, and since God has given this gift, this ability to them, then why can’t they put before the people the analysis and interpretation of the Bible? It is correct that God has given this gift and ability to analyze and interpret the Bible to women also, but this utilization of the Bible has been given to them by God for their assigned ministry. God does not accept the misuse of the gift, consider Matthew 7:21-23; at the time of judgment, many people will plead before the Lord that they did miracles, prophesied, preached in His name, but the Lord will say to them that He does not even know them, because whatever they have done outside the will of God, is not acceptable to Him, and here all of it has been called “lawlessness” or iniquity.

    Moreover, ponder over this also, even Satan knows how to preach from the Bible and based on the Bible; he does it, and gets it done quite regularly – that is why false teachings and wrong doctrines are so widespread in Christendom and have taken deep roots (2 Corinthians 11:3, 13-15; Colossians 2:4-8). Satan is so crafty and shameless that he has the audacity to misquote to Lord Jesus His own Word, so as to trap and make Him fall (Matthew 4:1-11). Therefore, on the basis of this argument that even the women have a good knowledge and understanding of God’s Word, it cannot be said or proved that they have been given the knowledge and ability to preach from the Church pulpit by the Lord God.

    The Lord will never do anything contrary to His Word, but Satan will surely misuse and misinterpret God’s Word, and through God’s people, in the name of God, will try to falsify it, or prove it wrong, or bring inconsistencies in it. We will see some more such vain arguments in the next article.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

भाग 4 – कलीसिया में स्त्रियों के लिए बाइबल से निर्देश

 

    बाइबल में स्त्रियों को कलीसिया में या पुलपिट से प्रचार करने की अनुमति नहीं है। कुछ लोग बाइबल के कुछ उदाहरणों का गलत उपयोग कर के स्त्रियों द्वारा प्रचार करने, तथा पुलपिट का प्रयोग करने को सही ठहराने का प्रयास करते हैं। किन्तु यह उनके द्वारा वचन से ऐसे अर्थ निकालना है, जो बाइबल की व्याख्या के सिद्धान्तों के अनुसार अनुचित एवं अस्वीकार्य हैं। उनके ये प्रयास वचन को एक गलत धारणा में बैठाने, उसके अनुरूप करने के लिए वचन के खंडों को तोड़ना-मरोड़ना और उनका दुरुपयोग करना है। उनके इन प्रयासों एवं उदाहरणों का बाइबल के आधार पर विश्लेषण हम आने वाले लेखों में देखेंगे। आज के लेख में हम देखते हैं कि इस विषय पर बाइबल में क्या लिखा गया है। स्त्रियों को जिस बात के लिए प्रभु ने मना किया है वह है पुरुषों को सिखाना या कलीसिया अर्थात चर्च में बोलना या उपदेश करना। इस निर्देश को दो स्थानों पर लिखा गया है:

    इस विषय पर परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल का पहला निर्देश है: 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:34-35 “स्त्रियां कलीसिया की सभा में चुप रहें, क्योंकि उन्हें बातें करने की आज्ञा नहीं, परन्तु आधीन रहने की आज्ञा है: जैसा व्यवस्था में लिखा भी है। और यदि वे कुछ सीखना चाहें, तो घर में अपने अपने पति से पूछें, क्योंकि स्त्री का कलीसिया में बातें करना लज्ज़ा की बात है।” परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा पौलुस से लिखवाए गए इन शब्दों पर ध्यान कीजिए:

·        यह मात्र सुझाव अथवा इच्छा नहीं है; यह आज्ञा है।

·        यह कलीसिया की सभा में सम्मिलित होने वाली सभी स्त्रियों के लिए है।

·        इस आज्ञा का आधार परमेश्वर का वचन है, न कि पौलुस की कोई व्यक्तिगत धारणा।

    उपरोक्त पदों के साथ, पौलुस द्वारा उन्हें साथ ही में कही गई एक और बात को भी देखना यहाँ पर सहायक होगा – 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:36-38 “क्या परमेश्वर का वचन तुम में से निकला? या केवल तुम ही तक पहुंचा है? यदि कोई मनुष्य अपने आप को भविष्यद्वक्ता या आत्मिक जन समझे, तो यह जान ले, कि जो बातें मैं तुम्हें लिखता हूं, वे प्रभु की आज्ञाएं हैं। परन्तु यदि कोई न जाने, तो न जाने।”

    पौलुस ने कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली को यह पत्री उनकी बहुत सी गलतियों को ठीक करने के लिए लिखी थी; और उन गलतियों में से एक महिलाओं द्वारा कलीसिया में अधिकार जताने और बोलने से भी संबंधित थी, जिसे उसने उपरोक्त पदों में संबोधित किया है। अब पत्री के अन्त की ओर पहुँचते हुए, वह पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, अभी तक कि लिखी सुधार की सभी बातों, महिलाओं के कलीसिया में बोलने के सहित, के सन्दर्भ में पौलुस उपरोक्त पद 36-38 में उस मण्डली के लोगों को कहता है कि कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली के लोगों का परमेश्वर के वचन और उसके निर्देशों पर कोई एकाधिकार अथवा विशेषाधिकार नहीं है। उन्हें भी परमेश्वर के वचन और निर्देशों को वैसे ही स्वीकार तथा पालन करना है जैसे कि अन्य कलीसियाओं को। जैसा अन्य कलीसियाओं में है, उन्हें भी वैसे ही रहना है।

    साथ ही उन्हें, और विशेषकर उन्हें जो उन में अपने आप को आत्मिक जन समझते हैं, यह भी समझना और स्वीकार करना है कि पौलुस ने जो उन्हें लिखा है वह उसकी अपनी इच्छा नहीं, परमेश्वर की आज्ञाएँ हैं। किन्तु यदि कोई इस बात को स्वीकार नहीं करता है तो इससे उनके लिए परमेश्वर का वचन बदला नहीं जाएगा। उसे फिर अनाज्ञाकारिता का स्वयं अपना हिसाब देना होगा।

    इस विषय पर परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल का दूसरा निर्देश है: 1 तीमुथियुस 2:11-12 “और स्त्री को चुपचाप पूरी अधीनता में सीखना चाहिए। और मैं कहता हूं, कि स्त्री न उपदेश करे, और न पुरुष पर आज्ञा चलाए, परन्तु चुपचाप रहे।” साथ ही इससे आगे के दो पदों पर भी ध्यान कीजिए: 1 तीमुथियुस 2:13-14 “क्योंकि आदम पहिले, उसके बाद हव्वा बनाई गई। और आदम बहकाया न गया, पर स्त्री बहकाने में आकर अपराधिनी हुई।”

वचन के ये दोनों निर्देश बताते हैं कि परमेश्वर की आज्ञा है कि कलीसिया की सभाओं में स्त्रियाँ चुप रहें, उपदेश न करें, और न पुरुषों पर आज्ञा चलाएँ, वरन आधीन होकर सीखें – जो उत्पत्ति 3:16 के अनुसार है, और यदि कुछ पूछना या समझना हो तो वह घर जाकर करें। यहाँ पर यह भी ध्यान करना चाहिए कि “आधीन” होने से अर्थ दासी समान होने या गुलामी करना नहीं है, वरन आदर और प्राथमिकता देना है। इन पदों से स्पष्ट है कि बाइबल के अनुसार स्त्रियों को पुलपिट से प्रचार करने या पास्टर होने की जिम्मेदारियों को निभाना परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता है, अनुचित है।

    अगले लेख में हम स्त्रियों के प्रचार करने और कलीसियाओं में पास्टर होने की बात का समर्थन करने वालों के कुछ तर्कों, और उनके द्वारा उठाई गई कुछ आपत्तियों को देखेंगे; और फिर बाद में उनके द्वारा बाइबल से दिए जाने वाले उदाहरणों के बारे में देखेंगे।

According to the Bible, Do Women Have the Permission to Serve as Pastors and Preach from the Pulpit in the Church?

Part 4 – Biblical Instructions for Women in the Church

 

    The Bible does not permit to women to use the Pulpit, i.e., preach in the Church. Some people by misusing some Biblical examples try to justify women’s preaching in the Church and say that there is nothing wrong with it. But this is misinterpreting God’s Word, by not following principles of Bible interpretation, to give it inappropriate and unacceptable meanings. Their efforts are to twist and trim God’s Word, misuse it to make it conform to a particular line of thought. We will look at the examples and explanations given by them in the coming articles and analyze them from God’s Word the Bible. In today’s article we will see what the Bible says on this topic. What the Lord has not permitted the women is to teach men, and to speak or preach in the Church. This instruction has been given at two places:

    The first instruction about this in God’s Word is: 1 Corinthians 14:34- 35 “Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.” Pay attention to the words written by Paul through God the Holy Spirit:

·        This not a mere suggestion or desire; it is a command.

·        It is for all women gathered and participating in the Church service.

·        The basis of this command is God’s Word, not Paul’s own or personal concept.

    Here, along with the above verses, it will be helpful to consider another thing said in the very next verses - 1 Corinthian 14:36-38 “Or did the word of God come originally from you? Or was it you only that it reached? If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.”

    Paul had written this letter to the Church in Corinth to correct many errors that had come into the Church; and one of their mistakes was related to women exercising authority and speaking during the Church service, which has been addressed in these aforementioned verses. Now, coming towards the end of this letter, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, in context of all the corrections that he had written to them, including about women speaking in the Church, Paul says in the above-mentioned verses 36-38 that the members of the Church in Corinth do not have any special rights or privileges related to God’s Word. They too have to accept and obey God’s Word, just the same as the other Churches do. As is the practice in other Churches, they too have to follow the same.

    Moreover, those amongst them, who consider themselves to be spiritual, they should understand and accept that what Paul had written to them are not his own desires, but God’s commands. But if anyone is not willing to accept this, then the Word of God will not be altered for that person. Then he will have to answer for himself before God.

    The second instruction in God’s Word on this topic is in 1 Timothy 2:11-12 “Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.” Also, pay attention to the next two verses written here, 1 Timothy 2:13-14 “For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.”

    Here, to clarify, he provides the basis for this instruction – since their creation the primacy is of man, the woman was made as a helper for man (Genesis 2:18), and not someone to direct, or to dominate him; and after the committing of sin, the woman was put under man (Genesis 3:16). Through the Holy Spirit, Paul also says that woman was created as a weaker vessel, as Peter has written (1 Peter 3:7), and that is why, Satan misused God’s instructions to make Eve fall, not Adam, since his chances of success were better working on Eve than on Adam, and that is what happened as well. From her very creation, woman has been created for a different role than man, and her role does not include teaching God’s Word to men. Hence, women should respect her God assigned limits, and not transgress them.

    Both of these instructions on this topic show that it is God’s command that in a Church service, women should remain silent, should not preach, and should not exercise authority over men. Rather, learn under submission – which is in accordance with Genesis 3:16. If the women need to ask or understand anything, they should do that at home. It is also important to note here that being under submission does not mean becoming a slave or a servant, but giving respect and due honor, the primacy, to men. It is clear from these verses that the Bible does not permit women to use the pulpit, i.e., preach in the Church, nor to be a Pastor in the Church; doing either of these is disobeying God and is inappropriate.

In the next article we will look at some of the arguments given, objections raised by those who are in favor of women preaching and being Pastors; and then we will look at the examples they cite from the Bible to justify their stand.

बाइबल के अनुसार, क्या मसीही कलीसियाओं में स्त्रियों को पुलपिट से प्रचार करने और पास्टर की भूमिका निभाने की अनुमति है?

भाग 3 – स्त्रियों की सेवकाई

    ऐसा नहीं है कि परमेश्वर ने महिलाओं को कोई सेवकाई नहीं दी है, या उन्हें वचन की समझ नहीं है, या वे वचन के बारे में प्रचार नहीं कर सकती हैं – ये सारी बातें प्रभु ने उन्हें भी दी हैं, भरपूरी से दी हैं, और उनका भी वचन की इस सेवकाई में बहुत बड़ा योगदान है। किन्तु प्रभु ने उनके लिए यह सेवकाई का स्थल कलीसिया नहीं वरन घर-परिवार ठहराया है। उनके अपने घरों (2 तीमुथियुस 1:5), बच्चों में, सन्डे-स्कूल में, अन्य महिलाओं के मध्य में (तीतुस 2:3-5), आदि स्थानों में उनका बहुत महत्वपूर्ण योगदान और सेवकाई है जो कोई पुरुष कभी नहीं कर सकता है। बच्चों को जिस कोमलता और धैर्य के साथ सिखाना और समझाना पड़ता है, उनकी सहनी पड़ती है, उन्हें प्रोत्साहित करना और उनकी समझ के अनुसार उन से व्यवहार करना पड़ता है, वह सामान्यतः पुरुषों के बस की बात नहीं है। बच्चों को ममता, लाड़ और प्यार के साथ, उनके बचपन से ही वचन और विश्वास के लिए जो नींव स्त्रियाँ दे सकती हैं वह कोई पुरुष अपनी समझ, बुद्धि, और ज्ञान के साथ कभी नहीं दे सकता है।

    इस बात के दो उत्तम उदाहरण वचन में हैं, एक पुराने और दूसरा नए नियम में। पुराने नियम का उदाहरण मूसा का है, जिसे शिशु अवस्था से ही फिरौन की पुत्री ने अपना लिया था, किन्तु उसकी देखभाल के लिए उसकी अपनी माँ ही नियुक्त कर दी गई (निर्गमन 2:5-10)। परिणाम क्या हुआ यह निर्गमन 2:11 में ही देखिए, तथा साथ ही प्रेरितों 7:23 और इब्रानियों 11:24-26 को भी देखिए – जब मूसा जवान हुआ, तो उसने मिस्रियों को नहीं वरन इब्रियों को ही अपने भाई-बन्धु समझा, और उनके कष्टों से उन्हें छुड़ाने की ठान ली। यदि उसकी माँ ने उसके वास्तविक लोगों और परमेश्वर के बारे में उसे न बताया और सिखाया होता, तो शिशु अवस्था से ही राजमहल में पलने और बढ़ने वाला मूसा क्योंकर इब्रियों को अपने भाई-बन्धु मानता और उन्हें उनके कष्ट से छुड़ाने की इच्छा रखता? दूसरा उदाहरण नए नियम में तीमुथियुस का है, जिसका हवाला ऊपर दिया गया है। यद्यपि तीमुथियुस का पिता यूनानी था (प्रेरितों 16:1) किन्तु फिर भी, जैसा 2 तीमुथियुस 1:5 से प्रकट है, उसका युवावस्था में ही निष्कपट विश्वास रखना, उसकी माँ और नानी के प्रभाव से था। इन दोनों उदाहरणों में हम बच्चों के जीवन पर स्त्रियों के दूरगामी प्रभाव को स्पष्ट देखते हैं, जो कोई पुरुष द्वारा कर पाना यदि असम्भव नहीं तो बहुत कठिन अवश्य है।

    इसी प्रकार से अन्य महिलाओं के मध्य में वचन की सेवकाई करना भी पुरुषों के लिए कठिन है, और उचित भी नहीं है। स्त्रियाँ एक-दूसरे से जिस प्रकार अपने मन की बातें, परिस्थितियाँ, और समस्याएँ कह लेती हैं, समझ सकती हैं, और समाधान निकाल सकती हैं, वह पुरुष नहीं कर सकते हैं। इसीलिए तीतुस 2:3-5 में स्त्रियों को ही अन्य स्त्रियों को व्यक्तिगत परिस्थितियों में वचन सिखाने के लिए कहा गया है। साथ ही पुरुषों के लिए स्त्रियों के साथ संपर्क में रहना कई प्रकार के आरोपों और अनुचित परिस्थितियों की संभावनाओं को उत्पन्न कर सकता है, तथा शैतान को उनकी मसीही गवाही खराब करने के अवसर प्रदान कर सकता है। इसलिए परमेश्वर ने जो सेवकाई स्त्रियों के लिए निर्धारित की है, उसे पुरुष चाह कर भी कभी नहीं कर सकते हैं; वह केवल स्त्रियों के लिए ही संभव है। ये बहुत महत्वपूर्ण सेवाकाइयाँ हैं जो किसी भी परिवार की स्थिरता, पारिवारिक विश्वास की दशा, और बच्चों के भावी जीवन की दिशा को प्रभावित करती हैं। यह स्पष्ट दिखाता है कि न परमेश्वर और न परमेश्वर का वचन स्त्रियों को सेवकाई से वंचित करता है, और न ही उन्हें सेवकाई के लिए पुरुषों से निम्न दर्जे का समझता है।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

According to the Bible, Do Women Have the Permission to Serve as Pastors and Preach from the Pulpit in the Church?

Part 3 – Women’s Ministry

 

    It is not that God has not given any ministry to the women, or that they do not have an understanding of the Word, or that they are unable to preach from the Word – God has given all of these gifts to them also, given them abundantly, and they too have a very major role to fulfil in this ministry. But the Lord has assigned the home and family as their place of ministry, not the Church. In their own houses (2 Timothy 1:5), amongst children, for the Sunday School ministry, amongst other women (Titus 2:3-5), they have a very important ministry which no man can ever carry out. The tenderness required to handle, teach, and explain to children, the patience that has to be exercised with children, the way they have to be encouraged, and the manner in which they have to handled according to their age, is generally not possible for men to do. The foundation of the Word and Faith that women can provide to children, by dealing with them with maternal feelings, love and care, no man can ever give no matter how intellectual, wise, and knowledgeable he may be.

    There are two very good examples of this in the Scriptures, one in the Old Testament, and the other in the New Testament. The Old Testament example is of Moses, who from his infancy was adopted by the daughter of the Pharaoh, but he was brought up under the care of his own mother (Exodus 2:5-10). You can see the result in Exodus 2:11, and also see Acts 7:23, Hebrews 11:24-26 – when Moses came to be of age, he considered not the Egyptians, but the Hebrews as his people, and decided to deliver them from their oppression. If his mother had not taught him about his actual people and about God, then because of his upbringing since his infancy in the palace of the Pharaoh, would Moses ever had considered the Hebrews to be his people, and thought of delivering them from their oppression? The second example, from the New Testament, is of Timothy, whose reference has been given above. Although Timothy’s father was a Greek (Acts 16:1), yet as is apparent from 2 Timothy 1:5, his having a genuine faith even in his youth, was because of the influence of his mother and maternal grand-mother. From both these examples we see the long-term effects of women in the lives of children, something which if not impossible, then very difficult for men to achieve.

    Similarly, to minister amongst other women is also not only very difficult but also inappropriate for men to do. The way women can share their hearts, circumstances, and problems with each other, understand and work out solutions to these situations, cannot be done by men. That is why in Titus 2:3-5, women have been asked to share and teach other women at a personal level. Moreover, for men to remain in close contact with women can provide the occasion for many kinds of allegations and inappropriate circumstances, and give Satan the opportunity to spoil their Christian witness. These are all very important ministries, that affect the stability of any family, the state of Faith of the family, and future direction the life of children will take. This very clearly shows that neither God, nor His Word has deprived women from having an important role in ministry, and neither is their ministry in any way inferior to that of men.

    In the next article we will see what God has got written in His Word about the women using the pulpit in the Churches.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

भाग 2 – शैतान की कार्यविधि

 

    कृपया उत्पत्ति 1 और 2 अध्याय से देखिए। परमेश्वर ने पहले पृथ्वी को बनाया, उसे मनुष्य के रहने योग्य तैयार किया, समस्त वनस्पति और जीव-जंतुओं की रचना की, और फिर जब मनुष्य के जीवन और रहने के लिए सब कुछ तैयार हो गया, तब परमेश्वर ने अपने हाथों से मनुष्य की रचना की। फिर, परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य के लिए एक विशेष वाटिका – अदन की वाटिका को लगाया, और मनुष्य को उसकी देखभाल की ज़िम्मेदारी सौंपी। और, भले और बुरे के ज्ञान तथा जीवन के वृक्ष के फलों को छोड़ मनुष्य को अन्य प्रत्येक वृक्ष का फल खाने के लिए दे दिया। उसके बाद, मनुष्य का साथ देने के लिए, परमेश्वर ने हव्वा को उसका सहायक बनाकर, उसके साथ रहने के लिए दिया। उनके लिए किसी बात की कोई कमी नहीं थी; परमेश्वर उन दोनों के साथ संगति करता था; पृथ्वी पर सिद्ध शान्ति थी, पाप का अस्तित्व नहीं था, कोई समस्या नहीं थी, आदम और हव्वा को जो कुछ भी चाहिए था, वह सब बहुतायत और सरलता से उपलब्ध था।

    थोड़ा रुक कर उपभोक्ता वस्तुओं और सौन्दर्य प्रसाधनों से संबंधित विज्ञापनों और उत्पादन के बारे में विचार कीजिए – क्या यह इसी कार्यविधि पर आधारित नहीं है? आप को निरन्तर यह एहसास करवाया जाता है कि उन वस्तुओं, उन बातों के बारे में सोचें जो आपके पास होनी चाहिए थीं किन्तु आपको नहीं दी गई हैं, जो आपके पड़ौसियों, या सहकर्मियों, या रिश्तेदारों के पास हैं, लेकिन आप के पास नहीं हैं। वह सब जो आप पाना चाहते हैं किन्तु आप को पता नहीं है कि कैसे प्राप्त करें, और जिन्हें पा लेने के बाद आप यदि उन से बेहतर नहीं तो कम से कम उनके समान तो हो ही जाएँगे। क्या संपूर्ण विज्ञापन उद्योग और उपभोक्ता वस्तुओं का उद्योग क्या इसी एक कार्यविधि पर आधारित और चलाया जाने वाला नहीं है? एक बार ज़ोर देकर निरन्तर दिखाए जा रहे विज्ञापनों के द्वारा जब शैतान इन नाशमान और भौतिक वस्तुओं की लालसा के बीज हम में बो देता है, उसके बाद फिर वह हम में उसके कहे के अनुसार कर के उन्हें प्राप्त करने की लालसा और प्रयासों में भी डाल देता है। और यह परमेश्वर के साथ हमारे समय और संगति, और फिर अन्ततः हमारे अनन्तकाल की कीमत पर होता है।

    यदि हम समय रहते सच को नहीं पहचानते हैं, अपने पापों से पश्चाताप नहीं करते हैं और इन बातों के लिए प्रभु से क्षमा, तथा परमेश्वर से मेल-मिलाप और उसकी संतान होने का दर्जा नहीं माँगते हैं, तो इन भौतिक और नाशमान बातों को पाने की लालसा में हम अपने अनन्तकाल के लाभ और जीवन की हानि उठाते हैं। एक बार यदि हम शैतान की इस कार्यविधि, इस युक्ति को समझ लें, तो फिर यह देखना और समझना कठिन नहीं है कि किस प्रकार से शैतान ने इसी युक्ति का प्रयोग महिलाओं में पुल्पिट का प्रयोग करने और पास्टर होने जिम्मेदारियों को निभाने की लालसा रखने के लिए किया है – उन बातों के लिए जिनकी अनुमति परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में उन्हें प्रदान नहीं की है। किन्तु शैतान उन स्त्रियों के मन में यही डालता है कि उन्हें सर्वोत्तम और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण वरदान से वंचित रखा गया है, और उन्हें कभी उन विशिष्ट वरदानों और योग्यताओं के बारे में सोचने नहीं देता है जो परमेश्वर ने उन्हें उसके राज्य और महिमा के लिए दीं हैं, जो पुरुषों को कभी मिल नहीं सकती हैं और न पुरुष कभी उन्हें उपयोग कर सकते हैं। हम इसके बारे में और अधिक अपने अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

According to the Bible, Do Women Have the Permission to Serve as Pastors and Preach from the Pulpit in the Church?

Part 2 – Satan’s Strategy

 

    Please see from Genesis chapters 1 and 2. God had first created the earth, made it inhabitable for man, brought all the vegetation and animal life into existence, once everything required for man’s existence was in place, it was then that God created man with His own hands. God then planted the special Garden of Eden for man, gave man charge of it, and except for the Tree of Good and Evil, and the Tree of Life, man could eat the fruit of every tree. Then, to give Adam company, God made Eve to be his helper and stay with him. Nothing was lacking for them; God used to fellowship with both of them; there was perfect peace on earth, there was no sin, there were no problems. All that Adam and Eve ever needed was easily and abundantly made available to them.

    Satan’s Strategy to disrupt this peaceful existence and fellowship with God was simple and straightforward. Instead of allowing man to think about all that God had prepared for him and freely given it to him, instead of letting man be thankful to God for all that He had provided, take care of it as God had asked him to do, utilize it for his own benefit and God’s glory, Satan put into their mind what God had not given them; and diverted their attention from what had been given into thinking about what God has not given. Once Satan turned their attention away from God’s provisions, Adam and Eve did not bother to think or learn from God about what had not been given, was it at all necessary; did it have any utility? When there was no evil on earth at that time, and everything was very good (Genesis 1:31), what additional gain or advantage would Adam and Eve have by knowing about good and evil? Satan misled Eve through this strategy; putting into her heart, what God has not given, enticed her to desire to be like God and learn about knowing about good and evil. Satan then put into her heart that she can still have it all by following his advice, and thereby raise her status to be like God. Once Satan had planted this seed in her mind, he did not leave her alone, he kept her engaged in conversation with him, did not allow her time to think it over, or confer with Adam about it, or wait till God came to meet them and ask Him about it. And even today Satan beguiles man through this same strategy, puts into their heart and draws their attention to what they have not been given, gets them into pondering about all that they are missing, makes them feel how necessary for them are the things that have not been given to them, and does not leave them till they fall for his devious devices.

    Think over all the advertising for the various consumer and cosmetic products – is it not based on this very strategy? Keep making you think of all that you should be having, all that has not been given to you, all that you neighbor or colleague or family member has, but you don’t. All that you can acquire but don’t know how, and how by acquiring it you will become equal, if not better than them. The whole Advertising and Consumer Products business is built and operated on this very strategy. Once, through forceful and relentless advertising, these seeds are sown in us, then Satan gets us working to acquire these temporal and perishing worldly things and achievements through his advice, at the cost of our time and fellowship with God, and eventually our eternity.

    If we don’t realize the truth in time repent of our sins, ask for the Lord Jesus to forgive us, and reconcile us with God, to be His child for eternity, for the sake of temporal gains, we end up losing our eternal life and benefits. Once we understand Satan’s this strategy, it is not difficult to see how he also uses the same strategy to beguile women into desiring the pulpit and pastoral responsibilities – things that God has not permitted for them in His Word. But Satan makes them feel as if they have been deprived and cheated of the most important and the best gift, never letting them think about all the unique gifts that God has exclusively given to them instead, to be used for His glory and Kingdom; gifts and abilities that no man can ever have – they are the unique privilege of women only. We will see more about this in our next article.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
