मनुष्यों की गलत शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धांतों से प्रभावित (1)

प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी, केवल नया जन्म लेने - शारीरिक से आत्मिक जीवन में जन्म लेने के द्वारा ही प्रभु यीशु का विश्वासी जन, उसका शिष्य बन सकता है। मसीही विश्वास में आने से पूर्व वह चाहे किसी भी पृष्ठभूमि, परिवार, धर्म, मान्यता, आदि में से मसीह में आया हो, चाहे वह और उसका परिवार ईसाई धर्म का ही पालन क्यों न करते रहे हों, सभी के लिए, ईसाई धर्म के मानने वालों के लिए भी, नया जन्म लेना वैकल्पिक नहीं, अनिवार्य है। बिना यह नया जन्म प्राप्त किए, कोई भी न तो परमेश्वर के राज्य को देख सकता है, और न उस में प्रवेश कर सकता है; क्योंकि शरीर से जन्मा मनुष्य नश्वर शरीर ही है, और आत्मा से जन्मा मनुष्य ही आत्मा के समान अविनाशी बन सकता है (यूहन्ना 3:1-7)। यह नया जन्म पाना, व्यक्ति के द्वारा किसी भी धर्म के धार्मिक रीति-रिवाज़ों, अनुष्ठानों, परंपराओं, विधि-विधानों, और प्रथाओं की पूर्ति के द्वारा नहीं होता है। नया जन्म पाने के लिए हर व्यक्ति को स्वेच्छा से अपने स्वयं के पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करना, और प्रभु यीशु मसीह में विश्वास लाकर, उससे अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करना होता है, और प्रभु यीशु की आज्ञाकारिता में बने रहने का निर्णय लेना होता है (प्रेरितों 17:30-31; यूहन्ना 1:12-13; रोमियों 10:9-10)।

यह नया जन्म पाते ही वह व्यक्ति आत्मिक शिशु-अवस्था में आत्मिक जन्म ले लेता है, जिसमें उसके पोषण और बढ़ोतरी के लिए उसे अपने पुराने स्वभाव और बातों को छोड़कर, निर्मल आत्मिक दूध, अर्थात परमेश्वर के वचन को आत्मिक आहार के समान निरंतर लेते, यानि कि पढ़ते और पालन करते रहना (1 पतरस 2:1-2), तथा मसीही जीवन के स्तंभ - प्रेरितों 2:42 की चारों बातों में लौलीन रहना होता है। इस आत्मिक भरण-पोषण के द्वारा व्यक्ति आत्मिक शिशु अवस्था से निकल कर आत्मिक बालक-अवस्था में आ जाता है, जहाँ से आगे बढ़ने के लिए उसे परमेश्वर के साथ अपने संबंधों और प्रभु परमेश्वर के प्रति अपने विश्वास को व्यावहारिक जीवन में जी कर दिखाने के विषय स्वेच्छा से कुछ निर्णय लेने होते हैं। यह व्यक्ति के आत्मिक जीवन में आगे बढ़ पाने, या फिर उसी स्तर पर रुके रह जाने के निर्णय के लिए परीक्षा की घड़ी होती है, और अधिकांश मसीही विश्वासी यहाँ आकर फेल हो जाते हैं, अटक जाते हैं, क्योंकि वे मसीह यीशु और परमेश्वर में विश्वास के अपने सभी दावों के बावजूद, मत्ती 6:25-34 में प्रभु यीशु द्वारा दिए गए परमेश्वर की देखभाल और पूर्ति के वायदों पर पूरा भरोसा नहीं रखने पाते हैं। वे भी संसार के अन्य लोगों के समान अपने ही परिश्रम और प्रयासों पर अधिक भरोसा रखते हैं, और इस परिश्रम तथा प्रयासों के जीवन को जीते हुए, धीरे-धीरे समय के अभाव के कारण मसीही संगति, वचन के अध्ययन, प्रार्थना में समय बिताने, और प्रभु भोज, अर्थात मसीही जीवन के चार स्तंभों में लौलीन होकर भाग लेते रहने में पिछड़ जाते हैं, आत्मिक जीवन में कमजोर हो जाते हैं। समझ और विश्वास में इस प्रकार बालक बने रहना परमेश्वर के वचन के विरुद्ध है, हे भाइयो, तुम समझ में बालक न बनो: तौभी बुराई में तो बालक रहो, परन्तु समझ में सयाने बनो (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:20)। उनकी इस अपरिपक्वता तथा मसीही बालक-अवस्था में अटके रह जाने के कारणों को और उनके जीवनों में दिखने वाले इस अपरिपक्वता के लक्षण हम पिछले लेखों में इफिसियों 4:14 से देख चुके हैं।

मसीही विश्वास और जीवन में अपरिपक्वता के कारण बालक-अवस्था में अटके रह जाने के अतिरिक्त, इफिसियों 4:14 अपरिपक्वता के अन्य दुष्प्रभाव भी बताता है। अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों में देखे जाने वाले ये दुष्प्रभाव हैं कि ये लोग, मनुष्यों की ठग-विद्या और चतुराई में बारंबार फँसते या फिर फंसे हुए ही रहते हैं; लोगों की भ्रम की युक्तियों का शिकार होते रहते हैं, उनसे धोखा खाते रहते हैं; और मनुष्यों के भ्रामक उपदेश से बड़ी सरलता से उछाले, और इधर-उधर घुमाए जाते हैं, अर्थात वचन और विश्वास की बातों में स्थिर और दृढ़ बने रहने की बजाए, इन्हें सरलता से कभी एक बात मानने और कभी कोई अन्य बात मानने के लिए इधर से उधर बहकाया भटकाया जा सकता है।

ध्यान कीजिए, अदन की वाटिका में आदम और हव्वा से पहला पाप करवाने के लिए सर्प रूपी शैतान ने इसी ठग-विद्या और चतुराई का प्रयोग किया था। उसने हव्वा के मन में उनके प्रति परमेश्वर के प्रेम, और उनके लिए परमेश्वर की योजनाओं के भले होने के विषय संदेह उत्पन्न किया, हव्वा को परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता के लिए उकसाया, और हव्वा ने शैतान की ठग-विद्या और चतुराई में फंस कर परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता कर दी, पाप में गिर और फंस गई। इसीलिए पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस द्वारा लिखवाया है परन्तु मैं डरता हूं कि जैसे सांप ने अपनी चतुराई से हव्‍वा को बहकाया, वैसे ही तुम्हारे मन उस सिधाई और पवित्रता से जो मसीह के साथ होनी चाहिए कहीं भ्रष्‍ट न किए जाएं जैसा कि झूठे  प्रेरित करते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3, 13-15)। प्रभु यीशु ने भी अंत के दिनों के चिह्नों में से एक यही बताया था कि बहुत से भरमाने वाले आएंगे (मत्ती 24:5, 11)। पौलुस ने अपनी सेवकाई के विषय में, उसके द्वारा प्रचार किए जाने वाले वचन में उसके खराई से बने रहने का स्मरण दिलाया (2 कुरिन्थियों 2:17; 4:2; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 2:3-5)। साथ ही पौलुस ने यह भी चिताया कि ये भरमाने और भटकाने वाले लोग मण्डलियों के अंदर से, वर्तमान सदस्यों में से भी निकलकर आ सकते हैं, और आएंगे (प्रेरितों 20:30)।

अगले लेख में हम इसी विषय को ज़ारी रखेंगे, और इसके बारे में परमेश्वर के वचन से कुछ और बातें देखेंगे। 

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

English Translation

Prone to Wrong Doctrines and False Teachings of Men (1)

A person can become a Christian Believer, the Disciple of Christ, His faithful follower only by being Born-Again - from the physical into the spiritual life. He may have come into the Christian Faith from any background, family, religion, belief, etc.; and even though he and his family may have been practicing the Christian religion, nevertheless, being Born-Again is not optional, but is mandatory for everyone, it is not optional even for those coming from the Christian religion. Without being Born-Again no one can enter or even see the Kingdom of God; since he who is born of the flesh is flesh, and only the one born of the Spirit can be spiritual like the Spirit (John 3:1-7). This, a person’s being Born-Again, does not happen by following any religion, or by fulfilling any rites, rituals, ceremonies, traditions, feasts & festivals, etc. of any religion. To be Born-Again every person has to willingly repent of his sins, confess them, come to faith in the Lord Jesus and accept the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior, surrender one’s life to Him, and commit to living a life of obedience to the Lord and His Word (Acts 17:30-31; John 1:12-13; Romans 10:9-10).

On being Born-Again, he is born as a spiritual infant, and from then on, to grow in his spiritual life he has to leave the things of his former nature and behavior, and constantly feed himself on the pure milk of the Word of God, i.e., he has to keep reading and obeying it for all things (1 Peter 2:1-2), and he has to steadfastly continue in the four pillars of Christian life given in Acts 2:42. Through this feeding and nourishment, the person grows up from being an infant to becoming a child. For his further spiritual growth, the person has to now take some decisions about his relationship with God and has to practically demonstrate his Christian Faith by living it out in his day-to-day life. This is a challenging period, a time of taking a decision to remain stagnant and stunted in his spiritual growth or grow further in their spiritual life. Most Christian Believers get stuck at this point and fail to live up to this challenge; because, despite all their claims to the contrary, they are unable to completely trust the Lord God to fulfill Matthew 6:25-34 for them. Instead, they trust in their own efforts, ways, methods, and labor to meet their physical needs and to achieve and acquire temporal benefits, as the people of the world do. Because of trusting in themselves instead of God, they soon face demands on their time, and more often than not the attractions of the temporal win over the spiritual, and they start falling away from steadfastly continuing in the four pillars of Christian living, i.e., in studying God’s Word, in Christian Fellowship, in spending time in Prayer, and regularly participating in the Lord’s Table, and end up becoming weak in their spiritual lives. Their remaining child like in Christian understanding and faith is contrary to the instructions of God’s Word Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature (1 Corinthians 14:20). In the previous articles, we have seen the signs of spiritual immaturity in the life of a Christian Believer, from Ephesians 4:14.

Besides telling the signs of spiritual immaturity in Christian life and faith, Ephesians 4:14 also talks about the other harmful effects of this immaturity. These harmful effects are repeatedly falling for the “trickery of men”, and “the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting”, therefore, they are very easily “tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine.” In other words, instead of being firm and established in the Word of God and instructions on Christian Faith and living, they can very easily be carried away into following one teaching or another.

    Take note, to make Adam and Eve commit the first sin in the Garden of Eden, Satan, in the form of a serpent, used this same trickery and craftiness. Satan first created doubt in the heart and mind of Eve about God’s love and plans for them being perfect and the best, prodded her into being disobedient to God. She fell for Satan’s trickery, cunningness, and craftiness, ended up committing sin, and made Adam do it as well. That is why, through the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul wrote, “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:3, 13-15). The Lord Jesus has also forewarned that one of the signs of the end times will be many false prophets and deceivers will come in His name (Matthew 24:5, 11). Paul reminded his readers to take heed from him, that how in his preaching and teaching he always remained steadfastly rooted to God’s Word (2 Corinthians 2:17; 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 2:3-5). Paul also warned that these deceivers and teachers of wrong doctrines, of false teachings, will arise from amongst the Christian Believers, from within the Christian Churches or Assemblies (Acts 20:30).

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

बपतिस्मे के द्वारा गवाही - 1

पिछले लेखों से हम देख चुके हैं कि प्रभु यीशु की कलीसिया में कोई भी, किसी भी रीति अथवा विधि के द्वारा स्वतः ही नहीं जुड़ सकता है। जिस प्रकार से प्रभु ने अपनी कलीसिया से संबंधित सभी बातों को स्वयं ही निर्धारित किया है, और स्वयं ही अपनी कलीसिया को प्रबंधित और संचालित भी करता है, उसी प्रकार से प्रभु अपनी कलीसिया में स्वयं ही लोगों को जोड़ता भी है (प्रेरितों 2:47)। प्रभु का जन, उसका शिष्य बनकर प्रभु की कलीसिया से जुड़ने का मार्ग और निमंत्रण संसार के सभी लोगों के लिए खुला है। कलीसिया में जोड़े जाने से संबंधित प्रक्रिया और बातें प्रभु द्वारा ही निर्धारित कर दी गई हैं। प्रथम कलीसिया की स्थापना से लेकर आज तक, सारे संसार के सभी स्थानों में प्रभु की कलीसिया के साथ जुड़ने के लिए प्रभु द्वारा स्थापित इसी एक प्रक्रिया का निर्वाह किया जाता है। प्रभु द्वारा निर्धारित और उपलब्ध करवाए गए तरीके के अतिरिक्त प्रभु की कलीसिया से जुड़ने का अन्य कोई तरीका नहीं है। इस प्रक्रिया में सात बातें हैं, जिन्हें परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरितों 2:38-42 में लिखवाया है। इनमें से पहली दो बातें प्रेरितों 2:38 में दी गई हैं; और इन दोनों में से पहली बात, प्रभु की कलीसिया के साथ जुड़ने का आरंभ, प्रत्येक व्यक्ति द्वारा अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करना है, जिसे हम पिछले लेख में देख चुके हैं। उस लेख में हमने यह भी समझा है कि जिस पश्चाताप की यहाँ बात की गई है, वह वास्तविक पश्चाताप है। यह वास्तविक पश्चाताप, ईसाई समाज और संस्थाओं में सामान्यतः कुछ रीतियों की पूर्ति के समय, जैसे कि प्रभु-भोज या ‘पाक-आशा’ के समय औपचारिक रीति से दोहराए जाने वाले कुछ वाक्यों और खण्डों के पश्चाताप से, बहुत भिन्न है। ऐसा सांसारिक और औपचारिक पश्चाताप मृत्यु उत्पन्न करता है। हमने उस वास्तविक पश्चाताप के गुणों, पहचान, और प्रभाव के बारे में बाइबल से समझा है जो प्रभु की कलीसिया से जुड़ने के लिए अनिवार्य है। हमने यह भी देखा है कि  इसी पद, 2:38 में दूसरी बात भी लिखी गई है - हर एक पश्चाताप करने वाले के द्वारा यीशु मसीह के नाम से बपतिस्मा लेना।

परमेश्वर के वचन, बाइबल में जब भी बपतिस्मा लेने या देने की बात आई है, उसके साथ कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें भी जुड़ी हुई देखी जाती हैं, जिनकी अवहेलना करने के द्वारा बपतिस्मे को लेकर बहुत सी गलत शिक्षाएं बनाकर फैला दी गई हैं। इसलिए पहले यह समझना आवश्यक है कि बपतिस्मा क्यों लिया या दिया जाए; उसके बाद ही उसकी विधि, या नामों के प्रयोग, आदि का महत्व समझ में आ सकता है। पापों से पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु यीशु मसीह से पापों की क्षमा मांग लेने, उसे अपना जीवन समर्पित कर देने, और स्वेच्छा तथा सच्चे मन से उसकी अधीनता में जीवन जीने का निर्णय कर लेने के बाद, बपतिस्मा, व्यक्ति द्वारा किए गए अपने उस निर्णय की तथा उससे उसके जीवन में आए भीतरी परिवर्तन की केवल एक बाहरी सार्वजनिक गवाही मात्र है। 

मत्ती 28:18-20 में दिए गए क्रम को ध्यान से देखिए; यहाँ स्वयं प्रभु यीशु मसीह के शब्दों में, प्रभु ने पहले शिष्य बनाने को कहा, और फिर उन केवल  उन्हें जो उसके शिष्य बन चुके थे, बपतिस्मा देने के लिए कहा। प्रेरितों 2 में भी पतरस के प्रचार के बाद, जिन्होंने पश्चाताप किया और प्रभु को ग्रहण किया, केवल उन्हें ही बपतिस्मा दिया गया (प्रेरितों 2:41)। प्रेरितों 8 अध्याय में फिलिप्पुस द्वारा कूश देश के खोजे को प्रचार और शिक्षा देने की घटना दी गई है। जब खोजे ने फिलिप्पुस से बपतिस्मा लेने के बारे में पूछा तो फिलिप्पुस का उत्तर था "यदि तू सारे मन से विश्वास करता है तो हो सकता है।" खोजे ने कहा कि वह प्रभु यीशु को परमेश्वर का पुत्र स्वीकार करता है, और तब फिलिप्पुस ने उसे बपतिस्मा दिया (प्रेरितों 8:35-38)।  दमिश्क के मार्ग में प्रभु का दर्शन पाने, और उसे “प्रभु” स्वीकार करने के बाद ही पौलुस (उस समय शाऊल) को बपतिस्मा दिया गया (प्रेरितों 9:5, 18); इसी प्रकार से प्रेरितों 19:1-5 के वार्तालाप में प्रकट है कि पौलुस जिन से बात कर रहा था, उन्होंने प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास कर लिया था। इन सभी उदाहरणों में वही क्रम दिया गया है - पहले प्रभु के शिष्य बनना, अर्थात उसे अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार कर लेना, और तब प्रभु यीशु के उन शिष्यों को ही बपतिस्मा दिया जाना।

यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाला यरदन नदी के आस-पास के क्षेत्र में बपतिस्मा देता था, और वहीं प्रभु यीशु का बपतिस्मा भी हुआ (यूहन्ना 1:28; 3:23; मत्ती 3:6, 13-16; मरकुस 1:5, 9-11; लूका 3:3)। प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेलों के द्वारा भी बपतिस्मा दिया जाने का उल्लेख है (यूहन्ना 3:22; 4:1-2), किन्तु यह नहीं लिखा गया है कि वे किस नदी अथवा जलाशय में बपतिस्मा देते थे। फिलिप्पुस ने सामरिया में बपतिस्मा दिया (प्रेरितों 8:12-13) किन्तु यह नहीं लिखा है कि किस नदी अथवा जलाशय में बपतिस्मा दिया गया। बाद में फिलिप्पुस ने कूश देश के खोजे को, मार्ग के किनारे के एक जलाशय में बपतिस्मा दिया (प्रेरितों 8:36-37)। किन्तु इन उदाहरणों से यह स्पष्ट है कि बपतिस्मा बहते या खड़े पानी, दोनों में ही दिया जा सकता है, इसमें कोई अनिवार्यता नहीं है कि बपतिस्मा किसी नदी में ही दिया जाए। इन हवालों से यह बात भी स्पष्ट है कि बपतिस्मा जहाँ भी दिया गया, वहाँ इतना पानी अवश्य होता था कि लोग उसमें उतर कर पानी के अंदर जा सकें, और बाहर आ सकें। कहीं पर भी छिड़काव का या पानी में उँगली भिगोकर माथे अथवा सिर पर क्रूस का निशान बना देने के द्वारा बपतिस्मा दिए जाने का बाइबल में कोई उदाहरण या उल्लेख नहीं है। बाइबल में कहीं पर भी किसी शिशु अथवा बच्चे के बपतिस्मे का उल्लेख नहीं है; हमेशा ही वयस्कों को, उनकी स्वेच्छा के अनुसार बपतिस्मा दिया गया। इससे यह भी प्रकट और स्पष्ट है कि शिशुओं या बच्चों का, छिड़काव या पानी से क्रूस का चिह्न बना देने द्वारा, और रीति या औपचारिकता पूरी करने के लिए लिया या दिया गया बपतिस्मा, बाइबल के अनुसार बपतिस्मा है ही नहीं, और ऐसे किसी भी बपतिस्मे की न तो बाइबल में कोई उल्लेख अथवा स्वीकृति है, और न ही कोई मान्यता अथवा महत्व है। 

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Witnessing through Baptism -1

We have seen in the previous articles that no one can join the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ on his own through fulfilling any rituals or ceremonies. Just as the Lord God has determined and established everything related to His Church, and He Himself manages and directs the functioning of His Church, similarly, it is the Lord who adds people to His Church (Acts 2:47). The way and the invitation to become a follower, a disciple of the Lord is open for every person in the world. The Lord has determined and given the process, the way of how anyone can join His Church. Since the establishment of the first Church, till date, all over the world, it is this one process that is followed for people to join the Lord’s Church. Besides this Lord ordained and given process, there is no other way to join the Lord's Church. There are seven steps in this process that have been given in Acts 2:38-42. The first two steps are given in Acts 2:38, of which the first, every person individually repenting of their sins, we have seen in the previous article. In that article we have also seen that the repentance given there is the actual heartfelt repentance. This actual repentance that has been stated here, is much different than the “the sorrow of the world produces death” i.e., a formal recitation of some words and passages that is commonly seen in Christendom, in many Christian organizations and denominational Churches, usually at the time of certain rituals, e.g., taking the Holy Communion. We have seen and understood the characteristics and effects of the true repentance which is mandatory for joining the Church of the Lord, and how to identify it. Today we will consider the second step of this process and also the second thing mentioned in Acts 2:38 - everyone who repents should take baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus.

In God’s Word the Bible, whenever the taking of baptism has been mentioned, certain related important things have been mentioned as well; and it is because of overlooking these associated important things that many wrong doctrines and false teachings have come about and been spread about baptism. The first thing we need to understand is why should baptism be taken? Only after properly understanding this can we really understand the way it is to be administered and under what names it is to be administered, etc. Once a person repents of his sins, asks the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of his sins, surrenders his life to the Lord willingly and fully, and commits himself to living in obedience to the Lord and His Word, after that baptism is only the external public witnessing to this inner decision and transformation that has come about in the person.

Consider carefully the sequence stated by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20. Here we see, in the Lord Jesus’s own words that His disciples were to first go and make other disciples, and then baptize only those who had became His disciples. In the events of Acts 2 also, we see that after the preaching of Peter, only those who repented and accepted the Lord Jesus as their savior were baptized (Acts 2:41). In Acts 8, in the account of Philip preaching and teaching to the Ethiopian eunuch, when the eunuch expressed the desire to be baptized, Philip's response was "If you believe with all your heart, you may." When the eunuch replied that he believes in Jesus as the Son of God, Philip baptized him (Acts 8:36-38). On the way to Damascus, Paul, then called Saul, first accepted Jesus as “Lord” and after that he was baptized (Acts 9:5, 18). Similarly, in Acts 19:1-5, from the conversation between Paul and the people, it is quite clear that they had already believed in the Lord Jesus, and then they were baptized. In all these examples the same sequence is given - first become the disciples of the Lord Jesus, i.e., accept Him as Savior, and then as disciples, get baptized - always, in the Bible, only those who had repented and become disciples were baptized.

John the Baptist used to baptize in the region around the river Jordan, and the Lord Jesus too was baptized in that area (John 1:28; 3:23; Matthew 3:6, 13-16; Mark 1:5, 9-11; Luke 3:3). There is mention of the Lord and His disciples too baptizing (John 3:22; 4:1-2), but in which river, stream, pond, or water-body they baptized has not been mentioned. Phillip baptized in Samaria, but again, in which river, stream, pond, or water-body they baptized has not been mentioned. Later, Phillip baptized the Ethiopian Eunuch in some water-body on the road-side (Acts 8:36-37). But what is clear from these examples is that baptism could be given in both, flowing or still water; there is no necessity that it has to be administered only in a river. From these examples, another fact that is quite apparent is that wherever baptism was given, it was always in a place where people could go inside the water and come out of it. 

At no place in the Bible has the method of sprinkling water for baptizing, or of someone dipping their finger in water and then making the sign of the Cross on the head or forehead been mentioned. Also, there is no mention or example of any infant, baby, or child being baptized; always it has been adults who voluntarily came forward to get baptized, only they have been baptized. From this it is also evident and clear that in the Bible there is no mention of any infant or child baptism, neither of any baptism by sprinkling or making the sign of the cross with water, nor of any baptism taken or given as a ritual or done to fulfil a formality. In other words, any such infant, child, ritualistic baptism, or a baptism to fulfil a formality has neither been mentioned nor accepted in the Bible, any such baptism has not been given any recognition or importance in the Bible.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

 बपतिस्मे के बारे में इस नई शृंखला के प्रथम लेख में हमने बपतिस्मा शब्द के अर्थ को देखा और समझा था, कि मूल यूनानी भाषा के इस शब्द का अर्थ होता है डुबकी दिया जाना। फिर हमने परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में बपतिस्मा दिए जाने के विभिन्न उदाहरणों से देखा था कि बाइबल में भी इस शब्द को इसी अभिप्राय से ही प्रयोग किया गया है। कहीं पर भी छिड़काव के बपतिस्मे का कोई अभिप्राय या प्रयोग नहीं हुआ है; और न ही शिशुओं अथवा बच्चों के बपतिस्मे का कोई उदाहरण अथवा अभिप्राय है। आज हम इस दूसरे लेख में परमेश्वर के वचन से बपतिस्मे के बारे में इससे आगे की बात समझेंगे। 

बपतिस्मा क्या है; क्यों; और किसे लेना है, किसे देना है?

बपतिस्मा क्या है, इसे हम कुछ बातों और वचन के उदाहरणों को देख लेने के बाद देखेंगे, क्योंकि तब इसे समझना आसान होगा।

बपतिस्मा क्यों लेना और देना है? : उपरोक्त पदों से यह बिलकुल स्पष्ट है कि बपतिस्मा लेना या देना, प्रभु की आज्ञा है, और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता पूरी करने के लिए ही यह करना है। इसका एक उत्तम उदाहरण स्वयं प्रभु की बपतिस्मे से संबंधित परमेश्वर के प्रति आज्ञाकारिता है, जैसा मत्ती 3:13-15 में दिया गया है:“13 उस समय यीशु गलील से यरदन के किनारे पर यूहन्ना के पास उस से बपतिस्मा लेने आया। 14 परन्तु यूहन्ना यह कहकर उसे रोकने लगा, कि मुझे तेरे हाथ से बपतिस्मा लेने की आवश्यकता है, और तू मेरे पास आया है? 15 यीशु ने उसको यह उत्तर दिया, कि अब तो ऐसा ही होने दे, क्योंकि हमें इसी रीति से सब धामिर्कता को पूरा करना उचित है, तब उसने उस की बात मान ली।”; जब प्रभु यीशु मसीह का बपतिस्मा हुआ, तब यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले ने उसे रोकने का प्रयास किया, क्योंकि वह धर्मी और पवित्र था, उसे बपतिस्मे की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं थी। तब, “यीशु ने उसको यह उत्तर दिया, कि अब तो ऐसा ही होने दे, क्योंकि हमें इसी रीति से सब धामिर्कता को पूरा करना उचित है, तब उसने उस की बात मान ली” (मत्ती 3:15)। 

प्रभु यीशु ने बपतिस्मा स्वेच्छा से, स्वतः ही यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले के पास आकर लिया। उसने यह अपने धर्मी या पवित्र होने, अथवा प्रमाणित करने के लिए नहीं लिया था, वरन परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता के निर्वाह की बातों को पूरा करने के लिए, परमेश्वर की आज्ञा को पूरा करने के लिए लिया था। इसीलिए वह क्रूस पर से कहने पाया “पूरा हुआ” (यूहन्ना 19:30), और तब ही उसने अपने प्राण त्यागे। प्रभु यीशु की यह बात स्पष्ट दिखाती है कि न तो बपतिस्मा धर्मी बनाने के लिए है, न ही पवित्र बनाने के लिए, और न ही इन सदगुणों को प्रमाणित करने के लिए है। बपतिस्मा केवल परमेश्वर की आज्ञा को पूरा करने के लिए है; प्रभु ने आज्ञा दी है कि उसके शिष्यों को बपतिस्मा लेना और देना है; बस यही पर्याप्त है। 

एक बार फिर से यह बात शिशुओं और बच्चों के बपतिस्मे को गलत ठहराती है, क्योंकि शिशुओं या बच्चों के लिए प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता को जानना, उसके महत्व को समझना, या उसे मानना संभव नहीं है। न ही शिशु या बच्चे स्वेच्छा से और स्वतः आगे आकर बपतिस्मा लेते हैं; बपतिस्मा तो उन पर एक रीति के समान थोप दिया जाता है, यद्यपि वे उसके बारे में कुछ भी जानते या समझते नहीं हैं।

बपतिस्मा किसे लेना और देना है? : उपरोक्त मत्ती 28:18-20 पदों से यह भी स्पष्ट है कि बपतिस्मा केवल प्रभु के चेलों को ही दिया जाना है। यह एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात है; और इस अन्तर को समझना आवश्यक और महत्वपूर्ण है कि बपतिस्मा लेने से कोई प्रभु का चेला नहीं बनता है; लेकिन प्रभु की आज्ञा के अनुसार, जो स्वेच्छा और सच्चे समर्पण के साथ पहले चेला बन जाए, बपतिस्मा उसे ही, उसके चेला बन जाने के बाद ही दिया जाना है। और प्रभु का चेला बनने के लिए व्यक्ति को अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु के प्रति स्वेच्छा से समर्पण करना, उसे अपना प्रभु स्वीकार करना अनिवार्य है। 

यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले ने भी जब बपतिस्मा देना आरंभ किया, तो वह भी इसी पश्चाताप करने और परमेश्वर के प्रति समर्पण करने वालों को ही देता था, जो रस्म के समान, या लोगों को दिखाने के लिए, या औपचारिकता निभाने के लिए बपतिस्मा लेने आते थे, जैसे कि उस समय के धर्म-गुरु, उसने उन्हें बपतिस्मा नहीं, उलाहना दिया, उन्हें अच्छे से डाँटा (मत्ती 3:5-12)। इन पदों में से ध्यान कीजिए:

• यूहन्ना किसी को बपतिस्मा देने नहीं जाता था; जो स्वेच्छा से और स्वतः ही उसके पास आते थे, वह उन्हें बपतिस्मा देता था। (पद 6)

• वह बपतिस्मा उन्हें देता था जो अपने पापों को मान लेते थे, (पद 6); वह मन फिराव का बपतिस्मा देता था (पद 8, 11)। 

• उसने दिखावा करने वाले फरीसियों और सदूकियों को, किसी रस्म को पूरा कर देने के समान बपतिस्मा नहीं दिया (पद 7-10), वरन ऐसी इच्छा रखने वालों को उलाहना दिया। 

 

यह बात कि बपतिस्मा ले लेने और विश्वासियों के साथ संगति करने से कोई उद्धार नहीं पाता है, परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य नहीं बन जाता है, शमौन टोन्हा करने वाले के उदाहरण से स्पष्ट है; देखिए प्रेरितों 8:9, 12-13, 18-19, 22-23 - पद 22 में पतरस का उससे कहना “अपनी बुराई से मन फिराकर प्रभु से प्रार्थना कर” स्पष्ट संकेत है कि उसने वास्तव में मन नहीं फिराया था, केवल लोगों को देखकर, उनके समान व्यवहार किया था। न उसके बपतिस्मा लेने ने, और न उसके मसीही विश्वासियों की संगति में रहने ने, उसे उद्धार या पापों की क्षमा दी थी। इन बातों को कर लेने के कारण वह परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य नहीं बन गया था। जैसा पतरस ने उससे कहा, उसे यह काम अपने आप पश्चाताप करके और स्वयं के लिए पाप-क्षमा की प्रार्थना करके ही पूरा करना था। 

यह बात भी शिशुओं और बच्चों के बपतिस्मे के विरुद्ध जाती है क्योंकि उन के लिए मन फिराव करने, प्रभु का चेले बनने और प्रभु को समर्पित जीवन जीने का निर्णय ले पाना संभव ही नहीं है, और इसके बिना बपतिस्मा दिया नहीं जाना है।

बपतिस्मा क्या है? : उपरोक्त बातों को देखने और समझने के बाद, अब हमारे लिए यह समझ पाना सहज है कि बपतिस्मा लेने से न तो कोई धर्मी बनता है और न मसीही या विश्वासी, और न ही और न ही कोई अपश्चातापी व्यक्ति बपतिस्मे से परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बनता है। बपतिस्मा तो केवल पापों से पश्चाताप करके, उनके लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा माँगने, प्रभु को अपना जीवन समर्पित करने, अर्थात, प्रभु पर विश्वास लाने के व्यक्ति के भीतरी निर्णय का सार्वजनिक, बाहरी प्रकटीकरण है; उसके द्वारा अपने बदले हुए जीवन की सार्वजनिक गवाही देना है इससे अधिक और कुछ नहीं है। इस संदर्भ में मत्ती 5:14-16 पर मनन कीजिए। 

ईसाई या डिनॉमिनेशनल चर्चों में ऐसे लोगों की भरमार है जिनका शिशु-अवस्था या बचपन में बपतिस्मा हुआ, बाद में दृढ़ीकरण या confirmation भी हुआ - जिसका बाइबल में कोई उल्लेख, या उदाहरण, या निर्देश नहीं है; यह मनुष्यों के द्वारा बनाई गई प्रथा है, परमेश्वर के द्वारा दी गई नहीं। किन्तु इन सब को करने के बावजूद, उनके जीवनों में कोई भी परिवर्तन नहीं है, उनमें उनके पापों के लिए पश्चाताप का एहसास या बोझ नहीं है। वे मसीही जीवन के नाम पर केवल परंपराओं, रीतियों, त्यौहारों, और औपचारिकताओं को ही निभाते रहते हैं। उनके पापमय जीवन, बपतिस्मे ले लेने के द्वारा जरा से भी परिवर्तित नहीं हुए। 

यदि आप मसीही हैं, तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप मनुष्यों की बनाई हुई रीतियों और प्रथाओं का नहीं, परमेश्वर के वचन का पालन करने वाले हों। क्योंकि अन्ततः आपका न्याय, मनुष्यों के द्वारा बनाई और धर्म-उपदेश करके सिखाई गई, मनुष्यों की बातों के आधार पर नहीं होगा, क्योंकि मनुष्यों द्वारा बनाए गए धर्मोपदेश न केवल व्यर्थ हैं (मत्ती 15:9) किन्तु हटा भी दिए जाएंगे (मत्ती 15:13)। सभी का न्याय प्रभु यीशु के द्वारा (प्रेरितों 17:30-31), उसके वचन की अटल और अपरिवर्तनीय बातों के आधार पर होगा (यूहन्ना 12:48)। इसलिए आपके लिए मनुष्यों को नहीं परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न करने वाला बनना अनिवार्य है, नहीं तो अनन्त जीवन में अनंतकाल की हानि उठानी पड़ेगी। अपने जीवन में गंभीरता से झांक कर देख लें, और जिन भी बातों को सही करना है, उन्हें अभी समय और अवसर रहते हुए सही कर लें; कहीं कल या “बाद में” पर टाल देने से बहुत विलंब और हानि न हो जाए।

In the first article in this new series about baptism, we looked at the meaning of the word baptism and understood that the original Greek word meant immersion. Then we saw from the various examples of being baptized in God's Word, the Bible, that the word is used in the same sense in the Bible. Nowhere is baptism by sprinkling used or intended; Nor is there any instance or intention of baptizing infants or children. Today, in this second article, we'll take a further look at baptism from God's Word.

What is baptism; And who should take, or receive it; and Why?

We will see “What is baptism?” after looking at some related things and examples from the Scripture, since then it will be easy to understand it.

 

First of all, let us understand why to be baptized. Look at the command given by the Lord Jesus Christ to the disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, just before His Ascension, “18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen."

 

Why should baptism be given or taken? : It is quite clear from the above verses that to receive baptism or to give baptism is a command of the Lord, for His disciples; and is required in obedience to the Lord. This is well illustrated by the Lord’s obedience to God, as given in Matthew 3:13-15 “13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?" 15 But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him"; When the Lord Jesus Christ was baptized, John the Baptist tried to stop him, because He was righteous and holy, He had no need for baptism. But, "Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him" (Matthew 3:15).

 

The Lord Jesus, voluntarily and spontaneously, submitted Himself for baptism, and Himself came to John the Baptist for it. He did not take baptism to be declared or to prove His being righteous or holy but because it was God's command, to fulfill the instructions regarding God's righteousness. That is why he was able to say on the cross "It is finished" (John 19:30), and only then did He die. This statement of the Lord Jesus clearly shows that baptism neither makes anyone righteous, nor does it sanctify anyone, nor does it prove these virtues in any person. Baptism is only for the fulfillment of God's command; the Lord has commanded His disciples should receive and give baptism, so that is that.

 

Take note, this once again disproves the concept of baptism of infants and children, because it is not possible for infants or children to know, understand, or obey the Lord's commands. Neither are they baptized voluntarily and spontaneously; baptism, as a ritual, is imposed upon them, without their understanding anything about it. 

 

Who is to be baptized or given baptism? : It is also clear from Matthew 28:18-20 given above, that baptism is to be given only to the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a very important point; And it is very necessary and important to understand that one does not become a disciple of the Lord by being baptized; But according to the command of the Lord, first whoever becomes a disciple, willingly and with true commitment, he is to be baptized only after he has become a disciple. And in order to become a disciple of the Lord, one must repent of his sins and submit willingly to the Lord, accepting Him as his Lord.

 

When John the Baptist had begun to baptize, he too gave the same call to repentance and submission to God before being baptized. Those who came to be baptized as a ritual, or to show people, or to perform formalities, like the religious leaders of the time did, they were not baptized by him but were rebuked, and he rebuked them well (Matthew 3:5-12). Take note of some things from these verses of Matthew 3:

• John did not go to baptize anyone; He baptized those who came to him voluntarily and spontaneously. (verse 6)

• He baptized those who confessed their sins (verse 6); His baptism was of repentance (verses 8, 11).

• He did not baptize the pretentious Pharisees and Sadducees for the sake of fulfilling a ritual (verses 7–10), but rebuked those who came with such a desire.

 

The fact that one can neither be saved nor become acceptable to God by being baptized and fellowshipping with believers, is evident from the example of Simon the sorcerer; See Acts 8:9, 12-13, 18-19, 22-23 - take note of Peter's admonishing him in verse 22 to "Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God" - a clear indication that he had not actually repented, but was only copying and behaving as the other people were doing. Neither his baptism, nor his being in the company of Christians, had given him salvation or forgiveness of sins. By doing these things he did not become acceptable to God. As Peter told him, he had to do this by repenting of his sins and praying for forgiveness for himself. 

 

This also goes against the baptism of infants and children. Because it is not possible for them to make the decision to repent, to become disciples of the Lord, and to live a life dedicated to the Lord, and without this baptism is not to be given or taken.

 

What is baptism? : Having seen and understood the above, it is now easy for us to understand that being baptized neither makes one righteous, nor a Christian, nor a Believer, nor does an unrepentant person become acceptable to God by getting baptized. Baptism is simply the public, outward declaration of a person's inner decision to repent of sins, to seek forgiveness from the Lord Jesus for them, and to dedicate one's life to the Lord and live by it; i.e., it is a public acknowledgement of having come to faith in the Lord, a public testimony of his changed life; It is nothing more or other than that. With this in mind, meditate on Matthew 5:14-16.

 

Christian or Denominational churches are full of people who were baptized, in infancy or childhood, and were later “Confirmed”; incidentally, this practice of “Confirmation” carried out in so many Denominations is not even mentioned in the Bible, neither is there any example in the Bible of this ever being done, nor are there any instructions about it in the Bible. It is a custom created by man, not given by God. But in spite of doing all these, there is no change in the lives of those who have been baptized and even “Confirmed”, they do not feel any burden of their sins, nor feel the need for repentance for them. In the name of living a “Christian” life, they continue to only live by carrying out traditions and rituals, celebrating festivals, and fulfilling formalities. By being baptized, not the slightest change has come into their sinful lives.

 

If you are a Christian, it is essential for you to follow the Word of God, not the customs and traditions created by men. Because in the end, you will not be judged by any man, on the basis of any man-made doctrines and teachings, all of which are not only vain (Matthew 15:9) but will also be taken away (Matthew 15:13). But everyone will be judged by the Lord Jesus (Acts 17:30-31), on the basis of His unalterable and firmly established Word (John 12:48). Therefore, it is necessary for you to be pleasing to God, instead of striving to please men; else you will have to suffer the loss of eternal life and eternity. Take a serious account of your life, and whatever things you need to rectify, do it right now, while you have the time and opportunity; procrastinating and postponing it for tomorrow or "later" may be very harmful.

 

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself for their forgiveness and my redemption from sins. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
