इस प्रश्न पर विचार करते हुए कि क्यों मनुष्य अपने आप में शैतान का सामना करने और उस पर विजयी होने में असमर्थ है, हमने पिछले लेख को दो बहुत महत्वपूर्ण परन्तु अनुत्तरित प्रश्नों के साथ समाप्त किया था - पहला यह कि क्यों मनुष्य, बिना परमेश्वर की सहायता के, केवल अपने आप से, शैतान का सामना नहीं करने पाता है, और उसकी युक्तियों पर विजयी नहीं होने पाता है? और दूसरा यह कि क्यों उद्धार न पाए हुए, स्वाभाविक, शारीरिक मनुष्य द्वारा, परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में घृणित और अस्वीकार्य काम किए जाने के बावजूद भी, प्रेरितों 17:30 के अनुसार, यदि मनुष्य उन पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करे, तो परमेश्वर उन्हें “अज्ञानता के समय के कार्य” कह कर, उस पापमय व्यवहार के लिये मनुष्य का न्याय करने और दण्ड देने की बजाए, उसकी आनाकानी करके सभी मनुष्यों को उन कामों के दुष्परिणामों से बचने का अवसर देने को तैयार है?
आज हम इन दोनों प्रश्नों में से पहले को देखना आरंभ करेंगे कि मनुष्य अपनी किसी भी सामर्थ्य या युक्ति से क्यों शैतान का सामना नहीं कर पाता है, उस पर विजयी नहीं होने पाता है। जैसा पिछले लेख में कहा गया था, इस बात को समझने के लिए हमें कुछ अन्य सम्बन्धित बातों पर भी विचार करना पड़ेगा - परमेश्वर के कुछ गुणों पर, और उसके द्वारा की गई सृष्टि की कुछ बातों पर उन गुणों के लागू होने के बारे में, और स्वर्गदूतों से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को भी देखना और समझना होगा, और फिर उन बातों के निष्कर्षों को साथ जोड़कर, तब उनके संदर्भ में इन प्रश्नों के उत्तर को देखना और समझना होगा। ये बातें हैं:
(i) परमेश्वर और उसकी बातों का अनन्त काल के लिये अपरिवर्तनीय तथा अटल होना, और सर्वदा लागू रहना;
(ii) मनुष्यों की तुलना में, स्वर्गदूतों के कुछ गुण;
(iii) मनुष्य और स्वर्गदूतों का तुलनात्मक स्तर या स्थान।
आज हम इनमें से पहली बात, परमेश्वर और उसका वचन और बातें हमेशा ही, अनन्त काल के लिये अटल तथा अपरिवर्तनीय हैं को देखेंगे और इसे बाइबल के उदाहरणों से समझेंगे।
(i) परमेश्वर और उसकी बातें अनन्त काल के लिये अपरिवर्तनीय तथा अटल हैं, और सर्वदा लागू रहती हैं : बाइबल का परमेश्वर सिद्ध परमेश्वर है, उसमें न तो कोई कमी है, और न कोई सुधार हो सकता है, न ही उसका कोई “उन्नत संस्करण” (“advanced version”) कभी बन सकता है, क्योंकि उसमें और उन्नत होने के लिए कुछ है ही नहीं। परमेश्वर समय के आधीन नहीं है, समय परमेश्वर के आधीन है; 2 तिमुथियुस 1:9 बताता है कि समय का तो आरंभ हुआ, किन्तु प्रभु यीशु का अनुग्रह समय के आरंभ से भी पहले से विद्यमान है (2 तिमुथियुस 1:9 में प्रयोग किया गया मूल यूनानी भाषा का शब्द है chronos, अर्थात समय; हिन्दी में इसे ‘सनातन’, और कुछ अंग्रेजी अनुवादों में इसे ‘worlds’ लिखा गया है; किन्तु इसका शब्दार्थ ‘समय’ ही है)। इसीलिए परमेश्वर अपने लिए कहता है “मैं जो हूँ सो हूँ” (निर्गमन 3:14); तथा हर समय और काल के संदर्भ में वह अपने आप को वर्तमान काल में, “मैं हूँ” अर्थात न भूत काल और न भविष्य काल वरन केवल वर्तमान ही कहता है (यूहन्ना 8:58)। तात्पर्य यह कि जब जैसा चाहिए, परमेश्वर सर्वदा ही तब, वहाँ, वैसा ही होता है। न परमेश्वर बदलता है, और न उसकी बातें या उसका वचन कभी बदलता है (इब्रानियों 1:12; 13:8; प्रकाशितवाक्य 1:8; भजन 102:27; मलाकी 3:6)। उसने जो एक बार कह दिया, वह उसे पूरा भी करेगा (गिनती 23:19)। परमेश्वर ने एक बार जिसे जो दे दिया, उसे वह फिर वापस कभी नहीं लेता है (रोमियों 11:29; भजन 89:34)।
अगर परमेश्वर को अपने दिए हुए को किसी कारणवश वापस लेना हो, तो उसका अभिप्राय होगा कि उसने देने में कोई गलती की थी, और अब कुछ ऐसा अनपेक्षित हो गया है जिसके विषय उसने सोचा नहीं था, और इसलिए अब उसे अपना निर्णय बदलना पड़ रहा है। अर्थात, परमेश्वर सर्वज्ञानी और सर्व-सिद्ध नहीं है, गलती कर सकता है, भविष्य की संभावनाओं और बातों के बारे में अनजान हो सकता है; और यह परमेश्वर के परमेश्वरत्व पर ही प्रहार है। इसलिए परमेश्वर ने जिसे जो भी दिया है, वह बहुत सोच-समझ कर और समस्त सृष्टि के विषय अपनी अनन्तकाल की योजनाओं एवं उद्देश्य के साथ दिया है; वह अपने निर्णय से कभी पलटेगा नहीं। अगले लेख में हम परमेश्वर के वचन से इस बात के कुछ उदाहरणों को देखेंगे।
इन बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Man, on his own, is Incapable of Overcoming Satan - 3
While considering the question, why man on his own, is incapable of facing and overcoming Satan, we closed the previous article with two unanswered but very important questions – first is, why is man, on his own and without God’s help, is incapable of standing up to Satan, unable to overcome him and his devices? The second is, that although the unsaved, unregenerate man does what is abhorrent in the sight of God and unacceptable to Him, yet, if man repents of his sinful behavior, then according to Acts 17:30, why is God willing to call it "works in times of ignorance," and ignore those sins? Instead of judging and punishing sinful man, why is God willing to give all of mankind an opportunity to escape the serious and hurtful consequences of those sinful actions?
Today we will begin to look at the first of these two questions, i.e., why is man not able to stand up to and overcome Satan by any of his power or abilities. As stated in the previous article, to understand this, we need to look at, and understand some other related things - some of the attributes of God, and their application to the things He has created; and some things related to angels. We will then put the conclusions together, to get to understand the answers to these questions in their proper context. These things are:
(i) God and His Word are eternally unalterable and firmly established; what He grants always remains irrevocable and in effect;
(ii) Some characteristics of angels, as compared to humans;
(iii) The comparative level or place of humans and angels.
Today we will look at the first of these, i.e., God and His Word and things that He grants are always irrevocable, eternally unalterable, and firmly established; and then understand this from Biblical examples.
(i) God and His Word are eternally unalterable and firmly established; what He grants always remains irrevocable and in effect: The God of the Bible is the perfect God, there is nothing lacking in Him, nor is there anything that may ever need to be improved or rectified, nor can an “advanced or updated version” of Him ever come into existence, because there is nothing in Him that could require any updating or further improvement. God is not subject to time, time is subject to God. According to 2 Timothy 1:9 although ‘time began’, but the grace of the Lord Jesus predates even the beginning of time (the original Greek word used in 2 Timothy 1:9 is ‘chronos’, which literally means time; in some English translations it is translated as 'worlds'; but its literal meaning is 'time'). That's why God refers to Himself as "I am who I am" (Exodus 3:14); And in context of time, He always refers to Himself in the present tense, as "I am" never in the past tense nor ever in the future tense, but always only in the present (John 8:58). It implies that God is always there, for everything and every situation, in the manner required. God does not change, and neither what He says ever changes, nor does His Word ever change (Hebrews 1:12; 13:8; Revelation 1:8; Psalm 102:27; Malachi 3:6). Once He has said, He will also fulfill it (Numbers 23:19). God never takes back what He once gives (Romans 11:29; Psalm 89:34).
If He ever had to face a situation where He would have to take something back, it would imply that He had made a mistake in giving it in the first place. And now something unexpected or unforeseen by Him has happened, something that He had not anticipated or thought about, therefore, now He has to change His earlier decision. This then means that God is not omniscient and perfect, He can make mistakes, He can be unaware of the possibilities and events of the future; and this is an assault on the very nature of God being God. Whatever God has given, He has given it very thoughtfully and for the purposes of fulfilling His eternal plans for the whole of creation; He will never go back on His decision. In the next article we will see some examples about this from the Word of God.
Bearing these things in mind, if you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
