सुसमाचारों में पवित्र आत्मा की प्राप्ति - भविष्य में

  

पिछले लेख में हमने से देखा था कि मसीही सेवकाई के लिए शैतान के साथ हमारा मल्लयुद्ध आत्मिक युद्ध है, जिसके लिए आत्मिक सामर्थ्य, आत्मिक हथियार, और आत्मिक मार्गदर्शन की आवश्यकता है, जो हमें परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा में होकर मिलते हैं। साथ ही हमने प्रेरितों 1:5, 8 से देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के लिए कोई विशेष प्रयास, आग्रह, प्रार्थनाएं, आदि करने की कोई शिक्षा न तो प्रभु यीशु ने शिष्यों को दी, और न ही नए नियम में यह कहीं दी अथवा सिखाई गई है। हमने यह भी देखा था कि प्रेरितों 1:5, 8 के अनुसार पवित्र आत्मा पाना ही पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा प्राप्त करना है। उद्धार पा लेने के बाद पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने, अर्थात पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाने के लिए कोई विशेष प्रयास करने की आवश्यकता, या कोई पृथक और विशेष बात होना वचन से संगत सिद्धांत नहीं है। व्यर्थ ही लोगों ने इन्हें अलग सिद्धांत बनाकर, अपने ही बनाए हुए उस सिद्धांत से संबंधित बातों की शिक्षाएं फैला कर लोगों को भ्रम में डाल रखा है, वचन की सीधी स्पष्ट शिक्षा से भटका रखा है। इस बपतिस्मे से संबंधित बातों को हम विस्तार से कुछ समय के बाद बपतिस्मे से संबंधित लेखों में विस्तार से देखेंगे। आज प्रेरितों 1:5, 8 के संदर्भ में हम वह दूसरी बात देखेंगे, जिसके विषय कल के लेख में उल्लेख किया गया था।

 

प्रभु यीशु ने अपने स्वर्गारोहण से पहले शिष्यों से कहा था, “और उन से मिलकर उन्हें आज्ञा दी, कि यरूशलेम को न छोड़ो, परन्तु पिता की उस प्रतिज्ञा के पूरे होने की बाट जोहते रहो, जिस की चर्चा तुम मुझ से सुन चुके हो” (प्रेरितों 1:4)। प्रभु उन्हें स्मरण दिला रहा था कि वह उन्हें पहले भी पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के बारे में न केवल बात चुका है, वरन इसके विषय उनसे चर्चा भी कर चुका है, अर्थात विस्तार से उन्हें बता और समझा चुका है। उन शिष्यों के साथ, सेवकाई के दिनों में, प्रभु ने कई बार उन से पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने की बात कही थी; किन्तु हर बार यह भविष्य काल में ही होने की बात थी; अर्थात उन्हें यही सिखाया था पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें बाद में किसी समय पर दिया जाएगा। इससे संबंधत कुछ पदों को देखिए:

• लूका 11:13 – इस पद का दुरुपयोग यह बताने के लिए किया जाता है कि प्रभु ने कहा है कि पवित्र आत्मा परमेश्वर से मांगने पर मिलता है। जबकि यदि इस पद को उसके संदर्भ (पद 11-13) में देखें, तो यह स्पष्ट है कि यह आलंकारिक भाषा का प्रयोग है, एक तुलनात्मक कथन है। प्रभु, किसी सांसारिक पिता के अपनी संतान की आवश्यकता के लिए उसे सर्वोत्तम देने की मनसा रखने की बात कर रहा है। जैसे सांसारिक पिता अपने बच्चों को यथासंभव उत्तम देता है, वैसे ही परमेश्वर भी “अपने” लोगों को – जो उससे पवित्र आत्मा को मांगने का साहस और समझ रखते हैं; उसका प्रयोग करना जानते हैं, उन्हें अपना यथासंभव उत्तम, यहाँ तक कि अपना पवित्र आत्मा भी दे देगा। साथ ही, हर किसी मांगने वाले को पवित्र आत्मा देने के लिए परमेश्वर बाध्य नहीं है; मांगने वाले का मन भी इसके लिए ठीक होना चाहिए - वे परमेश्वर के “अपने लोग” होने चाहिएं। प्राथमिकता परमेश्वर के अपने लोग होने की है; जो प्रभु परमेश्वर के अपने हो जाते हैं, जैसा हम देख चुके हैं, उन्हें विश्वास करने के साथ ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा भी प्राप्त हो जाता है। प्रेरितों 8:18-23 में शमौन टोनहा करने वाले को गलत मनसा रखते हुए, और वास्तविकता में प्रभु का जन न होने पर भी पवित्र आत्मा मांगने पर प्रेरितों से अच्छी डाँट मिली, न कि पवित्र आत्मा; यद्यपि वह प्रभु में विश्वास करने का दावा करता था, उसने बपतिस्मा भी लिया था, और विश्वासियों की संगति में रहता था (प्रेरितों 8:13)।

• यूहन्ना 7:37-39 – “बह निकलेंगी”; “पाने पर थे” – भविष्य काल – और साथ ही शर्त भी कह दी गई है कि ऐसा उनके लिए होगा “जो उस पर विश्वास करने वाले” होंगे – जैसा पहले देख चुके हैं, जो विश्वास करेगा, उसे पवित्र आत्मा स्वतः ही मिल जाएगा। किन्तु जिसने सच्चा विश्वास नहीं किया (यह केवल प्रभु ही जानता है, कोई मनुष्य नहीं), उसे वह कदापि नहीं मिलेगा, वह चाहे कितनी भी प्रार्थनाएं, प्रतीक्षा, या प्रयास करता रहे। जिसने विश्वास किया, उसे फिर कुछ और करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, और न ही करने के लिए कहा गया है।

• यूहन्ना 14:16-17 – “देगा”, “होगा” – भविष्य काल – पिता देगा, और फिर वह सर्वदा साथ रहेगा – आएगा जाएगा नहीं, जैसे पुराने नियम में था (ओत्निएल - न्यायियों 3:9,10; गिदोन - न्यायियों 6:34; यिप्ताह, शमसून, राजा शाऊल 1 शमूएल 10:6, 10; दाऊद 1 शमूएल 16:13, आदि)

• यूहन्ना 16:7 – “आएगा” – भविष्य काल – भविष्य में आना था; उसी समय नहीं

• यूहन्ना 20:22 – “लो” – अभी तक जो भविष्य की बात कही जा रही थी, अब प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान के बाद उस का समय आ गया था। अब इस बात को पूरा होना था, शिष्यों को एक प्रक्रिया के अंतर्गत पवित्र आत्मा को प्राप्त करना था। प्रभु ने इस पद की यह बात अपने पुनरुत्थान के बाद शिष्यों से कही – उन्हें पहले की प्रतिज्ञा स्मरण करवाई, और स्वर्गारोहण के समय प्राप्ति की प्रक्रिया भी बताई (लूका 24:49)। पवित्र आत्मा प्रभु की फूँक में नहीं था, और न ही आगे भी कभी फूंकने के द्वारा किसी को दिया गया।

 

हम मसीही विश्वासियों ने, जो प्रभु के जन हैं, अर्थात, जिन्होंने किसी धर्म-कर्म-रस्म के निर्वाह के अंतर्गत नहीं, अपितु व्यक्तिगत रीति से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु मसीह से उनके लिए सच्चे मन से क्षमा माँगकर, अपना जीवन प्रभु यीशु मसीह को समर्पित किया है, उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में जीवन व्यतीत करने का निर्णय लिया है, उन्हें मसीही विश्वास में आते ही पवित्र आत्मा दे दिया गया है, अर्थात उन्होंने पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पा लिया है। साथ ही, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को, परमेश्वर द्वारा उसके लिए निर्धारित सेवकाई (इफिसियों 2:10) के अनुसार, किसी के व्यक्तिगत उपयोग के लिए नहीं वरन कलीसिया के तथा सभी के लाभ के लिए विभिन्न वरदान भी प्रदान किए हैं (1 कुरिन्थियों 12:4-11)। हमें जो वरदान दिए गए हैं, हमें उनका प्रयोग हमारे लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित मसीही सेवकाई में करना है (रोमियों 12:6-8); तथा “इसलिये हे भाइयों, मैं तुम से परमेश्वर की दया स्मरण दिला कर बिनती करता हूं, कि अपने शरीरों को जीवित, और पवित्र, और परमेश्वर को भावता हुआ बलिदान कर के चढ़ाओ: यही तुम्हारी आत्मिक सेवा है। और इस संसार के सदृश न बनो; परन्तु तुम्हारी बुद्धि के नये हो जाने से तुम्हारा चाल-चलन भी बदलता जाए, जिस से तुम परमेश्वर की भली, और भावती, और सिद्ध इच्छा अनुभव से मालूम करते रहो” (रोमियों 12:1-2)।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

यूहन्ना 14 और 16 अध्याय में प्रभु की प्रतिज्ञा के अनुसार, प्रभु के शिष्यों को उनकी मसीही सेवकाई के लिए पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा मिलने वाली सहायता और मार्गदर्शन से संबंधित बातों को हम कल से देखेंगे।

English Translation

Receiving Holy Spirit in Gospels - A Future Event

In the previous article, we have seen that our battle with Satan is spiritual warfare, for which we need spiritual strength, spiritual weapons, and spiritual guidance; and all of these are provided to us by the Holy Spirit. We had also seen from Acts 1:5, 8 that to receive the Holy Spirit, no special or extra efforts, pleading, prayers, etc. are required. Neither the Lord Jesus nor His disciples ever gave any such teaching anywhere in the New Testament. We had also seen that according to Acts 1:5, 8 to receive the Holy Spirit is the same as baptism with the Holy Spirit. The teaching of having to make special efforts to receive the Holy Spirit, and baptism with the Holy Spirit being a special or a different experience are not consistent with the facts of the Word of God. People have created a vain teaching and a false doctrine on their own understanding, have created unnecessary confusion and controversy about these, and have misled people about these things. We will see in greater detail about this baptism with the Holy Spirit in later articles related to baptism. Today, from Acts 1:5, 8 we will see the second thing that had been mentioned in the previous article.

Just before His ascension, the Lord Jesus had said to His disciples, “And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me"” (Acts 1:4). The Lord was reminding them that He had already talked to them about receiving the Holy Spirit, had discussed it with them, explained and taught about it in detail earlier. During His days of ministry with the disciples, the Lord had talked to them many times about their receiving the Holy Spirit; but every time, it was in the future tense, i.e., the Holy Spirit was to be given to them at some future time. Consider some verses about this:

• Luke 11:13 - This verse is often misused to show that the Lord has said that the Holy Spirit will be given to people on their asking for Him. But, if you consider this verse in its context (verses 11-13), it becomes clear that the Lord is using idiomatic language here, and His statement is a comparative statement. In this verse, the Lord is taking the example of a father desiring to give the best possible to his children. Just as a worldly father desires to give the best that he can to his children, similarly, to those who are ‘His people’, the Lord God too, wants to give the best possible, even the Holy Spirit, if they have the courage and ability to come to Him and use His powers worthily. The Lord is not under any compulsion to give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks; the heart and mind of the seeker should be prepared and ready for this, i.e., they should actually be ‘His people’. The primary thing is to be ‘His people’; those who do become ‘His people’, as we have seen earlier, along with their salvation they also receive the Holy Spirit. In Acts 8:18-23 we have an example of Simon the sorcerer, who was not actually one of ‘His people’, and also wanted to have the Holy Spirit with an ulterior motive, and he received not the Holy Spirit but a serious admonition from the Apostles for this; although he claimed to have faith in the Lord, had taken baptism, and lived in the company of the Christian Believers (Acts 8:13).

• John 7:37-39 - In these verses, in the context of receiving the Holy Spirit, who had not been given out till then, take note of the phrases being used in the future tense by the Lord, “will flow”, “would receive”; and this was to be only for those “who believes in Me”, i.e., Believes in the Lord Jesus - and we have seen previously that when a person believes in the Lord Jesus, he also receives the Holy Spirit. But the person who has not genuinely believed (only the Lord knows the actual state of one’s faith, not any man), will never receive the Holy Spirit, no matter how much fasting and prayers, how much tarrying, or how much effort he makes for it. The one who has believed does not need to do anything else, and neither is he ever asked to do anything else in God’s Word.

• John 14:16-17 - Once again, note the use of future tense by the Lord, God the Father will give, and once having come, the Holy Spirit will then abide in the Believer forever - He will not come and go as used to happen in the Old Testament (Othniel - Judges 3:9,10; Gideon - Judges 6:34; also Jephthah, Samson; King Saul - 1 Samuel 10:6, 10; David - 1 Samuel 16:13, etc.).

• John 16:7 - Again use of future tense - “will send Him” - Holy Spirit was to come later, not at the time of the conversation.

• John 20:22 - This incident is after the Lord’s resurrection, and now He says to the disciples “Receive”. That which was to be a future event till then, now the time had come for it to be fulfilled. For the disciples to receive the Holy Spirit, they had to wait for the Lord’s appointed time (Luke 24:49). The Holy Spirit was not in the Lord’s breath, was not given to them by the Lord’s breathing upon them, and neither ever in the future, anyone received the Holy Spirit by being breathed upon.

We, the Christian Believers, the people of the Lord, i.e., those who have come to faith in the Lord Jesus not through the fulfilling of any religious works, rites and rituals, but by repenting of sins, sincerely asking for the Lord’s forgiveness for the sins, and have personally accepted Lord Jesus as Savior, have personally surrendered their life to Him, they have received the Holy Spirit the very moment they were saved, and that is also the same as having been baptized with the Holy Spirit. When a person is saved or Born-Again, he also has a ministry assigned to him by God (Ephesians 2:10). The Holy Spirit then gives him spiritual gifts according to the needs of his ministry, not for that person’s personal use and benefit or exaltation, but for the benefit of the Church through him and his gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). Whatever gifts have been given to us, we are to use them in our God-assigned ministry (Romans 12:6-8); and to also demonstrate our change of heart in our changed lives “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:1-2).

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start understanding and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

उद्धार के साथ तुरंत ही पवित्र आत्मा की प्राप्ति

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि शैतान इतना सामर्थी, कुटिल, और धूर्त है कि मनुष्य के लिए अपनी किसी बल-बुद्धि-ज्ञान के द्वारा उसका सामना करना, या उस पर जयवंत हो पाना संभव नहीं है। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस प्रेरित के द्वारा लिखवाया, “क्योंकि हमारा यह मल्लयुद्ध, लहू और मांस से नहीं, परन्तु प्रधानों से और अधिकारियों से, और इस संसार के अन्धकार के हाकिमों से, और उस दुष्‍टता की आत्मिक सेनाओं से है जो आकाश में हैं” (इफिसियों 6:12)। इस आत्मिक मल्लयुद्ध के लिए आत्मिक हथियारों और सुरक्षा कवच, तथा आत्मिक बातों और आत्मिक सामर्थ्य की आवश्यकता है। इसे शारीरिक सामर्थ्य, बुद्धि, ज्ञान, और बातों के द्वारा न तो लड़ा जा सकता है, और न ही जीता जा सकता है। इसीलिए मसीही विश्वासियों को मनुष्य के नहीं, वरन परमेश्वर के सारे हथियार बांध लेने के लिए कहा गया है “इसलिये परमेश्वर के सारे हथियार बान्‍ध लो, कि तुम बुरे दिन में सामना कर सको, और सब कुछ पूरा कर के स्थिर रह सको” (इफिसियों 6:13), और फिर वह उन हथियारों की सूची देता है (इफिसियों 6:14-17)।

इसी आत्मिक मल्लयुद्ध के लिए आत्मिक सामर्थ्य और ‘युद्ध-विद्या’ को सीखने और जानने के लिए जिसकी सहायता की आवश्यकता है, वह है परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा। प्रभु यीशु ने अपने स्वर्गारोहण से पहले शिष्यों को आज्ञा दी कि वे यरूशलेम को तब तक न छोड़ें जब तक उनका यह सहायक और प्रशिक्षक उनके साथ नहीं हो जाता है। तब तक उन्हें वहीं बने रहकर परमेश्वर पिता द्वारा जो प्रतिज्ञा दी गई है, और जिसकी चर्चा प्रभु यीशु ने पहले उन से की है, उसकी प्रतीक्षा करते रहना था। प्रभु की यह प्रतिज्ञा स्पष्ट शब्दों में प्रेरितों 1:5, 8 में बताई गई है “क्योंकि यूहन्ना ने तो पानी में बपतिस्मा दिया है परन्तु थोड़े दिनों के बाद तुम पवित्रात्मा से बपतिस्मा पाओगे”; “परन्तु जब पवित्र आत्मा तुम पर आएगा तब तुम सामर्थ्य पाओगे; और यरूशलेम और सारे यहूदिया और सामरिया में, और पृथ्वी की छोर तक मेरे गवाह होगे।” प्रेरितों 1:5, 8 यह स्पष्ट है कि प्रभु शिष्यों से जिस प्रतिज्ञा के पूरे होने की प्रतीक्षा करने को कह रहा था, वह शिष्यों के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करना था; और यह पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करना ही पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाना है।

अब, यहाँ दो बातों पर ध्यान देना आवश्यक है:

पहली, जिसे हम आज देखेंगे, शिष्यों को सेवकाई पर निकलने से पहले, प्रतिज्ञा के पूरा होने तक प्रतीक्षा करनी थी, सेवकाई पर जाने के लिए परमेश्वर के सही समय का इंतजार करना था। किन्तु यह बहुत महत्वपूर्ण और ध्यान में रखने योग्य बात यह कि प्रभु ने उन्हें यह नहीं कहा कि उस प्रतीक्षा के समय के दौरान उन्हें कुछ विशेष करते रहने होगा जिसके परिणामस्वरूप फिर उन्हें पवित्र आत्मा दिया जाएगा। न ही प्रभु ने उनसे यह कहा कि उनके परमेश्वर से विशेष रीति से मांगने से, आग्रह करने या गिड़गिड़ाने से, अथवा कोई अन्य विशेष प्रयास करने के परिणामस्वरूप फिर परमेश्वर उन्हें पवित्र आत्मा देगा, जैसे कि आज बहुत से लोग और डिनॉमिनेशन सिखाते हैं, और अपने लोगों द्वारा करने के लिए बल देते हैं, विशेष सभाएं रखते हैं - जो सभी परमेश्वर के वचन के विरुद्ध है। पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त होने की प्रतिज्ञा का पूरा किया जाना परमेश्वर के द्वारा, उसके समय और उसके तरीके से होना था, न कि इन शिष्यों के किसी विशेष रीति से मांगने या कोई विशेष कार्य अथवा प्रयास करने से होना था। मनुष्य कभी भी परमेश्वर को कुछ भी करने के लिए, अपने किसी भी प्रयास या कार्य के द्वारा न तो बाध्य कर सकता है, और न ही दबाव में डाल सकता है; और परमेश्वर की इच्छा और योजना के बाहर कुछ भी करने के लिए तो कदापि नहीं।

बाइबल के गलत अर्थ निकालने और अनुचित शिक्षा देने का सबसे प्रमुख और सामान्य कारण है किसी बात या वाक्य को संदर्भ से बाहर लेकर, और उस से संबंधित किसी संक्षिप्त वाक्यांश के आधार पर, अपनी ही समझ के अनुसार एक सिद्धांत (doctrine) खड़ा कर लेना, उसे सिखाने लग जाना। प्रभु की यहाँ पर कही गई इस बात के आधार पर भी इसी प्रकार से यह गलत शिक्षा दी जाती है कि उद्धार पा लेने के बाद फिर पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रतीक्षा करना और प्रयास करना आवश्यक है।

इस संदर्भ में ध्यान कीजिए कि सम्पूर्ण नए नियम में फिर कहीं यह प्रतीक्षा करना न तो सिखाया गया है, और ना इस बात के लिए कभी किसी को कोई उलाहना दिया गया है कि उन्होंने प्रतीक्षा अथवा प्रयास क्यों नहीं किया। न ही किसी मसीही विश्वासी में विश्वास अथवा सामर्थ्य की कमी दिखने पर उससे कभी यह कहा गया कि कुछ विशेष प्रयास अथवा प्रतीक्षा कर के वे पवित्र आत्मा को प्राप्त करें, और उससे प्रभु की सेवकाई के लिए सामर्थी बनें। वरन नए नियम में अन्य सभी स्थानों पर यही बताया और सिखाया गया है कि पवित्र आत्मा प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करते ही, तुरंत ही दे दिया जाता है।

• प्रेरितों 10:44; 11:15, 17 – विश्वास करने के साथ ही

• प्रेरितों 19:2 – विश्वास करते समय

• इफिसियों 1:13-14 – विश्वास करते ही छाप लगी

• गलातियों 3:2 – विश्वास के समाचार से

• तीतुस 3:5 – नए जन्म और पवित्र आत्मा का स्नान साथ ही

 

यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो प्रभु परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा और वचन के आधार पर जानिए तथा विश्वास रखिए कि प्रभु ने उद्धार पा लेने के बाद आपको निःसहाय नहीं छोड़ दिया है, वरन आपकी सुरक्षा और मार्गदर्शन के लिए परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा आपके अंदर उसी क्षण से विद्यमान हैं, जिस क्षण आपने प्रभु यीशु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार किया और अपना जीवन प्रभु को समर्पित कर दिया। आपको पवित्र आत्मा के प्रति संवेदनशील होने, उनके कहे के अनुसार कार्य करने, और उनकी आज्ञाकारिता में बने रहकर अपनी मसीही सेवकाई को करते रहने की आवश्यकता है।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Holy Spirit Received Immediately With Salvation

In the previous article we have seen that Satan is so powerful, sly, and crafty, that it is not possible for any person to confront or overcome him through human strength-wisdom-knowledge. Through the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote to the Church in Ephesus, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). For this spiritual battle we need spiritual weapons and armour, spiritual abilities, and spiritual power. This battle can neither be fought nor won with physical strength, wisdom, knowledge, and other such things. It is for this reason that Christian Believers have been exhorted to take up not any human but all of divine weapons, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13); and then Ephesians 6:14-17 gives the list of these spiritual weapons required for this battle.

For this spiritual battle, it is God the Holy Spirit, whose help and guidance is necessary to learn the battle strategies and acquire the required spiritual power. The Lord Jesus commanded His disciples not to leave Jerusalem till they have this helper and trainer, God the Holy Spirit, with them. The disciples were to wait till they received what had been promised to them by God, and the Lord too had talked to them about. The Lord has expressed this promise of their helper to them in very clear unambiguous words in Acts 1:5, 8 “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Now, here there are two things to note:

First, which we will see today, was that the disciples had to wait for the promise to be fulfilled, they had to wait for God’s correct time to go out for their ministry. But what is particularly important to note here is the fact that the Lord had not asked them to do something special, and consequent to their doing that thing, they will receive the Holy Spirit. Neither did the Lord say to them that if they ask for Him in a particular manner, or plead before Him or do some special efforts, then in response to any of those efforts or works, the Lord Jesus will give them the Holy Spirit; as many sects and denominations teach these days, and insist that their members do so; and they hold special services and meetings too for this purpose - all contrary to the Word of God. The fulfillment of the disciple’s receiving the Holy Spirit was to be by the Lord God, in His time and manner; not by any special human works or efforts. God can never be coerced or manipulated into doing things by any human efforts or works; least of all things not in harmony or accordance to His will and plans.

The foremost reason of misinterpreting the Bible and giving wrong teachings about it, is people’s taking a phrase or word or statement out of its context, and then building up a doctrine on that out-of-context statement or phrase or words, according to one’s own understandings and imaginations. This is what is done to this statement of the Lord; it has been taken out of its context, and misused to propound and teach an unBiblical “doctrine”, that to receive the Holy Spirit, one has to wait and do certain activities, after having received salvation.

In this context, ponder over the Biblical fact that in the whole of the New Testament, never again and nowhere has this teaching of having to wait for the Holy Spirit ever been given again or reminded of; nor has anyone ever been pulled up for not waiting or making some special efforts to receive the Holy Spirit after being saved. Also, no Christian Believer exhibiting any weakness in their faith or strength has ever been asked in the New Testament to make some special efforts to receive the Holy Spirit and thereby be strengthened for the Lord’s work. Instead, in the whole New Testament, it has always been told and taught that the Holy Spirit is given to every person, as soon as they repent of their sins, accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior, and come to have faith in Him; consider some instances of receiving the Holy Spirit:

• At the time of believing and coming into faith - Acts 10:44; 11:15, 17

• At the time of believing - Acts 19:2

• Sealed at the moment of believing - Ephesians 1:13-14

• By the hearing of faith - Galatians 3:2

• On being regenerated and renewed - Titus 3:5

If you are a Christian Believer, then know and believe on the promise of God and His Word that the Lord has not left you helpless and alone after your salvation. Rather, from that very moment onwards when you accepted the Lord Jesus as your Savior and surrendered your life to Him, for your safety and protection from satanic attacks, God the Holy Spirit comes to reside within you. What you need to do is to be sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, to be obedient to Him and do as He directs you to do, and fulfill your Christian ministry under His guidance.

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start understanding and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

आवश्यकता

 

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि सफल और प्रभावी मसीही सेवकाई केवल परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की आज्ञाकारिता और मार्गदर्शन के द्वारा ही संभव है। कोई भी शैक्षिक योग्यता अथवा प्रशिक्षण, कोई डिग्री प्राप्त कर लेना या कोर्स कर लेना तब तक प्रभु के लिए फलवंत और प्रभु को स्वीकार्य नहीं हो सकता है, जब तक व्यक्ति पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में उस प्रशिक्षण का उपयोग, परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार ना करे। मसीही सेवकाई, मत्ती 28:19-20 के अनुसार, लोगों को प्रभु यीशु का शिष्य बनाना है और उन्हें, जो शिष्य बन जाते हैं, बपतिस्मा देना और प्रभु की बातें सिखाना है। शिष्य बनाने और फिर उन्हें प्रभु की बातें सिखाने में उन विभिन्न वरदानों का उपयोग होता है, जो परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को देता है (रोमियों 12:6-8; 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:4-11)। यही अपने आप में स्पष्ट कर देता है कि क्यों जब तक परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य और मार्गदर्शन साथ नहीं है, कोई भी सफल और प्रभावी मसीही सेवकाई नहीं कर सकता है।

 

हमारे ध्यान देने के लिए, मसीही सेवकाई से संबंधित एक और बात है जो बहुत ही आवश्यक एवं महत्वपूर्ण है; और जिसका बहुधा ध्यान नहीं किया जाता है, किन्तु जिसके तात्पर्य और महत्व बहुत गंभीर हैं। जब प्रभु यीशु ने अपने बारह शिष्य चुने, उन्हें ‘प्रेरित’ कहा, तब उनमें से एक यहूदा इस्करियोती भी था। अन्य सभी शिष्यों के समान, प्रभु यीशु से वचन की शिक्षाएं, प्रशिक्षण, तथा अधिकार तो यहूदा इस्करियोती ने भी पाया था; अन्य शिष्यों के साथ सेवकाई के लिए वह भी गया था; उस समय प्रभु यीशु का प्रचार तो उसने भी किया था, और हो सकता है कि शिष्यों के समान उसने आश्चर्यकर्म भी किए होंगे; किन्तु अंततः परिणाम क्या हुआ? प्रभु यीशु ने उसे “विनाश का पुत्र” (यूहन्ना 17:12)  बताया, जो नाश हो गया। उसके साथ न तो प्रभु का अनुग्रह था - जिसे वह उस फसह के पर्व के भोज से चले जाने के द्वारा, जिसे प्रभु अपने शिष्यों के साथ मना रहा था (यूहन्ना 13:21-30), ठुकरा चुका था; और न पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य अथवा मार्गदर्शन था। उसका प्रभु के साथ रहने का अनुभव, प्रभु से मिली शिक्षाएं और अधिकार, उसका प्रभु के चुने हुए बारह शिष्यों में गिना और ‘प्रेरित’ कहलाया जाना (मत्ती 10:1-4), सब निरर्थक और व्यर्थ हो गया। इस उदाहरण से हम क्या महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षा ले सकते हैं? इस उदाहरण पर मत्ती 7:21-23 और 2 कुरिनथियों 11:13-15 के संदर्भ में विचार कीजिए; इससे यह प्रत्यक्ष और स्पष्ट है कि लोग प्रभु यीशु के नाम में बहुत प्रचार और प्रभावी आश्चर्यकर्म कर सकते हैं, किन्तु वासत्विकता में वो प्रभु यीशु के नहीं किन्तु शैतान के लोग हो सकते हैं जो लोगों को अनंत विनाश में बहका कर ले जा सकते हैं। प्रभु यीशु के नाम में प्रभावी और उत्तेजित करने वाला प्रचार करना और शिक्षाएं देना, अद्भुत आश्चर्यकर्म करना, आदि यह प्रमाणित नहीं करता है कि व्यक्ति प्रभु यीशु का सच्चा शिष्य है। उसका प्रभु यीशु का सच्चा और समर्पित शिष्य होना, उसके द्वारा परमेश्वर के वचन से प्रेम करना और वचन की आज्ञाकारिता में चलने के द्वारा होता है (यूहन्ना 13:34-35; 14:21, 23)। जो भी प्रभु यीशु का सच्चा शिष्य होगा, उसके जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा के फल (गलातीयों 5:22-24) भी दिखाई देंगे और उसके शिष्य होने की पुष्टि करेंगे।

 

प्रभु ने जब अपने शिष्यों को सुसमाचार प्रचार और मसीही सेवकाई के लिए जाने को कहा, तो वह उन्हें एक बहुत बड़े जोखिम में भेज रहा था; सृष्टि के सबसे सामर्थी, चतुर, और धूर्त एवं कुटिल हस्ती, शैतान, के विरुद्ध युद्ध करने के लिए भेज रहा था। परमेश्वर के बाद, शैतान ही है जिसकी सामर्थ्य है। परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल हमें बताती है कि: 

• सारा संसार उस दुष्ट के वक्ष में पड़ा है (1 यूहन्ना 5:19); 

• वह अपनी चतुराई से परमेश्वर के लोगों को उनकी पवित्रता और मन की सिधाई से बहका सकता है, उन्हें भ्रष्ट कर सकता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3) - ध्यान कीजिए कि जब आदम और हव्वा बहकाए गए और पाप में गिरे, तब वो निष्पाप और पवित्र दशा में थे, सृष्टि में पाप का अस्तित्व ही नहीं था, वे दोनों परमेश्वर के साथ ऐसी संगति में रहते थे जिसकी आज हम केवल कल्पना ही कर सकते हैं। लेकिन फिर भी शैतान ने उन्हें बहका कर पाप में गिरा दिया। 

• वह और उसके दूत ज्योतिर्मय स्वर्गदूत का रूप धारण करके, अपने आप को मसीह का प्रेरित दिखा कर गलत शिक्षाओं से लोगों को भरमा सकते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)।

• उसके भरमाने की युक्तियों की सामर्थ्य का अंदाज़ा इससे लगाया जा सकता है कि हज़ार वर्ष तक अथाह कुंड में कैद रहने के बाद जब उसे कुछ समय के लिए छोड़ा जाएगा, तब भी वह उन लोगों में से जिन्होंने परमेश्वर के राज्य को हज़ार वर्ष तक देखा है, लोगों को भरमा कर परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध युद्ध करने के लिए तैयार कर लेगा (प्रकाशितवाक्य 20:7-9)। 

• वह इतना धूर्त है कि देहधारी हुए परमेश्वर के वचन, प्रभु यीशु मसीह (यूहन्ना 1:1, 14), के समक्ष उसी के वचन का दुरुपयोग करने और प्रभु को बहकाने के प्रयास करने से पीछे नहीं हटा (मत्ती 4:1-11), तो फिर उसके सामने किसी मनुष्य के बाइबल ज्ञान या समझ की क्या हस्ती हो सकती है? 

• वह स्वर्गदूतों को भी उनका कार्य करने से रोक के रखने, बाधित करने की सामर्थ्य रखता है (दानिय्येल 10:11-14)। 

• पतरस ने मसीही विश्वासियों से कहा “सचेत हो, और जागते रहो, क्योंकि तुम्हारा विरोधी शैतान गरजने वाले सिंह के समान इस खोज में रहता है, कि किस को फाड़ खाए” (1 पतरस 5:8)। 

इस प्रबल, चतुर, और कुटिल शत्रु का सामना करके, उसके चंगुल से लोगों को निकालकर उन्हें अनन्त विनाश से अनन्त जीवन में ला पाना किसी भी मनुष्य की सामर्थ्य के बस की बात नहीं है। इसीलिए प्रभु ने शिष्यों से कहा कि जब तक वे परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य - उसका साथ, उसका मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त न कर लें, तब तक अपनी ही मानवीय बल-बुद्धि-सामर्थ्य के सहारे शैतान से लोहा लेने न निकलें। प्रभु जानता था कि यदि वे अपनी ही सामर्थ्य से शैतान का सामना करने के प्रयास करेंगे तो मुँह की खाएंगे, और परास्त तथा निराश होकर पीछे हट जाएंगे, असफल रहेंगे; इसके लिए उन्हें शैतान से अधिक सामर्थी की सहायता चाहिए होगी, और वह परमेश्वर स्वयं था, जो परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उनके अंदर रहेगा, और उन्हें सक्षम तथा उपयोगी करेगा, यदि वे उसके आज्ञाकारी और समर्पित रहें।

 

प्रभु परमेश्वर ने सभी मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए सेवकाई रखी हुई है (इफिसियों 2:10), और परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें उस सेवकाई के लिए उपयुक्त वरदान भी देता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 12:4-11), और उनकी सहायता तथा मार्गदर्शन भी करता है। यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो क्या आपने अपनी सेवकाई को पहचाना है, प्रभु परमेश्वर से उसके विषय प्रार्थना की और जानकारी ली है, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा आपको उसके लिए दिए गए वरदानों को जाना और उनका उपयोग करना सीखा है? यदि नहीं, तो यह करना अपनी प्राथमिकता बनाएं, और अन्य सभी ‘सेवकाई के कार्यों’ को छोड़कर प्रभु द्वारा निर्धारित अपनी सेवकाई को पूरा करने में प्रयासरत हो जाएं। क्योंकि आपकी आशीष और अनन्तकाल के प्रतिफल उसी से हैं; आपकी वही सेवकाई परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होगी, और सफल रहेगी।

Necessity

We had seen in the previous article that an effective and successful Christian ministry is only possible under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in obedience to the Lord God. Unless a person does it under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in obedience to the Lord God, no training, educational qualification, or educational status, can be truly fruitful for the Lord and acceptable to Him. According to the ‘Great Commission’ (Matthew 28:18-20) given to the disciples at the time of His ascension, basically, the Christian ministry consists of making people the disciples of the Lord Jesus; then, those who decide to become the Lord’s disciples, they are to be baptized and taught the things that the Lord Jesus taught to His disciples. In making people the disciples of the Lord and then to teach them the things taught by the Lord Jesus, requires the utilization of various gifts, which the Holy Spirit gives to every Christian Believer, according to the ministry given to him (Romans 12:12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11). This by itself makes it clear that unless the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit are with the person, he can never have an effective and successful Christian ministry.

We need to take note of another very important fact related to the Christian ministry, often not kept in mind, but of very serious implications and considerations. When the Lord Jesus chose His twelve disciples, called them ‘Apostles’, then one amongst them was Judas Iscariot. Like all the other disciples, Judas Iscariot too received the same teachings about God’s Word, the same training, and the same authority, as any other disciple. Judas too was sent along with the other disciples for the same ministry as the others were; therefore, he too must have similarly preached and quite likely done miraculous works as well, just as the others had. But ultimately, what was the outcome? The Lord called him the “son of perdition” (John 17:12), who went into eternal destruction. Judas had already rejected the grace of the Lord for him, when he walked out of the Last Supper the Lord was having with His disciples (John 13:21-30), and he did not have the power or guidance of the Holy Spirit. Judas’s staying with the Lord, learning from the Lord, being chosen and included amongst and called an ‘Apostle’ (Matthew 10:1-4), all turned out to be fruitless and vain. So, what important lesson do we draw from this example? Consider this example in the light of Matthew 7:21-23 and 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; it is evident that people can do a lot of preaching and miraculous works in the name of the Lord Jesus, and claiming to be the followers of the Lord Jesus, but actually be the agents of the devil, out to deceive and draw people away into destruction. It is not the powerful, impressive preaching and teaching, wonderful and miraculous works done in the name of the Lord that prove a person to be the follower of the Lord; but his obedience to God’s Word (John 13:34-35; 14:21, 23). Whosoever is a truly a disciple of the Lord, the presence of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in his life (Galatians 5:22-24) will affirm it.

When the Lord Jesus commissioned His disciples to go for preaching the gospel and their Christian ministry, He was sending them out into grave danger; He was sending them out to face the most devious, conniving, clever, and powerful creature in all of creation. After God, it is Satan who has the most power and abilities. God’s Word the Bible tells us about his power and abilities:

• The whole world lies in his sway (1 John 5:19);

• Through his craftiness he can deceive God’s people to fall from their holiness and simplicity of mind (2 Corinthians 11:3) - think it over, when Adam and Eve were beguiled and fell into sin in the Garden of Eden, they were in a sinless and holy state, sin did not exist there, and they were living in fellowship with God - a state we can only imagine presently; but still Satan was able to entice them into falling in sin!

• Satan and his angels present themselves as apostles and messengers of the Lord Jesus to deceive people into accepting their wrong teachings and be misled (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).

• The power of his deceptions can be understood by considering that when Satan will be released for a short while after being in the bottomless pit for a thousand years, even then will he be able to beguile and deceive from those people who have seen and experienced the rule of the Lord for a thousand years, and deceive them into going against God (Revelations 20:7-9).

• Satan is so crafty that he had the boldness to go and misquote the Scriptures to the Living Word of God who became flesh (John 1:1, 14) and try to make Him fall into sin (Matthew 4:1-11). So, what chance does any man stand before him?

• Satan has the power to obstruct the angels of God from carrying out their assignments (Daniel 10:11-14).

• Peter warned the Christian Believers against him, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

    It is not in the power and ability of any man to face this powerful, crafty, and devious enemy, and then to deliver people from his clutches, from eternal destruction into eternal life. This can only be done through the power, wisdom, and ability granted by the presence of God, the Holy Spirit. It is for this reason that the Lord said to His disciples that they not rely on their own strength, wisdom and abilities, but to wait till they receive the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and only then to go out to fight against the devil. The Lord well knew that if the disciples try to face the devil through their own strength, abilities and resources, they will face certain defeat, get discouraged, and stop in their ministry. Therefore, they required the help of someone who is stronger than Satan, i.e., God, who lives in every Christian Believer as the Holy Spirit, and gives the Believers the required strength and abilities, and makes them useful for their Christian ministry, provided they remain obedient and surrendered to Him.

The Lord God has kept some ministry for every Christian Believer (Ephesians 2:10), and God the Holy Spirit gives to the Believers the gifts necessary for their ministry (1 Corinthians 12:4-11), He also helps and guides them for it. If you are a Christian Believer, then have you recognized and come to know of the ministry service the Lord God has kept for you? Have you prayed to the Lord about it, learnt from Him about it, and asked the Holy Spirit to teach you how to use the gifts He has given to you for your ministry? If not, then make these things a priority in your life, drop every other ‘ministry’ that you may currently be engaged in, recognize and learn your God assigned ministry, and spend your time, efforts and energy in fulfilling that. Because your eternal blessings and rewards are based upon what God wants you to do for Him, and not what you want to do for God. God will only accept and reward that which is done in obedience to Him, nothing else.

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start understanding and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
