परिचय 

आज ईसाई या मसीही होना, एक धर्म का निर्वाह करने वाला होना मान लिया जाता है, जो परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के अनुसार सही समझ नहीं है। इस ईसाई धर्म में भी ईसाई या मसीही कहलाने वाले लोग एक साथ और एक जुट रहकर एक उद्देश्य के लिए कार्य करने वाले नहीं, वरन अनेकों डिनॉमिनेशंस, अर्थात, गुटों और समुदायों में बंटे हुए और विभिन्न उद्देश्यों के लिए कार्य करने वाले दिखाई देते हैं। उन डिनॉमिनेशंस, अर्थात, गुट या समुदायों के अनुसार, उनके ईसाई या मसीही होने के विषय उनकी मान्यताओं में बहुत भिन्नताएं देखी जाती हैं, इन भिन्न मान्यताओं को लेकर उनमें बहुत से मतभेद देखे जाते हैं, तथा इस भिन्नता के कारण कभी-कभी परस्पर कटुता, बैर, एवं एक-दूसरे का विरोध भी देखा जाता है। इन बातों के कारण यह मानना कठिन हो जाता है कि वे सभी एक ही प्रभु - यीशु मसीह, को मानने वाले लोग हैं। जो लोग प्रभु यीशु मसीह के नाम में संसार को प्रेम, बलिदान, सहनशीलता, सहयोग, नम्रता, औरों की सहायता करने, आदि सद्गुणों की बातों की शिक्षाएं देते हैं, उनके अपने जीवनों में, तथा परस्पर व्यवहार में, विशेषकर किसी दूसरे डिनॉमिनेशन, अर्थात, गुट या समुदाय के लोगों के प्रति इन्हीं बातों के पालन की बहुत कमी देखी जाती है। इस विरोधाभास के दो मुख्य कारण हैं; दोनों ही प्रभु यीशु द्वारा अपने आरंभिक शिष्यों को जाकर संसार के लोगों को शिष्य बनाने की सौंपी गई ज़िम्मेदारी (मत्ती 28:18-1-20) के पालन न करने के कारण हैं। पहला कारण है कि हर कोई जो अपने आप को मसीही अर्थात मसीह यीशु का अनुयायी कहता है, वह वास्तव में मसीही अर्थात मसीह यीशु का सच्चा और समर्पित शिष्य नहीं होता है। और इस कारण जो वास्तविक और सच्चे समर्पित शिष्य नहीं होते हैं। वे मसीह यीशु की नहीं अपने मन की, या अपने डिनॉमिनेशन के अगुवों की, यानि कि किसी-न-किसी मनुष्य की इच्छा के अनुसार चलते हैं, और उस इच्छा को पूरा करना ही अपना कर्तव्य समझते हैं। दूसरा कारण है कि जो अपने आप को मसीही या मसीह यीशु के अनुयायी कहते हैं, जिन्होंने मसीह यीशु की शिष्यता स्वेच्छा से निर्णय लेकर स्वीकार की है, उन्हें भी उनके मसीही होने, मसीह यीशु द्वारा उसका अनुयायी होने के लिए उन्हें बुलाए जाने के उद्देश्य का या तो पता नहीं है, अथवा उसका ध्यान नहीं है। वे भी प्रभु और उसके वचन की आज्ञाकारिता में चलने को वह महत्व नहीं देते हैं, जो उन्हें देना चाहिए। इसलिए प्रभु और उसके वचन की अधूरी आज्ञाकारिता के कारण उनके जीवन भी मसीह यीशु में लाए गए विश्वास की वास्तविकता को व्यावहारिक जीवन में पूर्णतः प्रकट नहीं करते हैं।

 

पहले कारण, वास्तव में मसीही न होने के बारे में विस्तार से पहले के लेखों में देख चुके हैं। संक्षेप में, प्रेरितों 11:26 में दी गई बाइबल की परिभाषा के अनुसार, मसीही वह है जो प्रभु यीशु मसीह का शिष्य है। किसी का शिष्य होने का अर्थ है अपने आप को उसके प्रति समर्पित कर देना और उसके कहे, उसकी शिक्षाओं के अनुसार अपना जीवन व्यतीत करना, उन शिक्षाओं का प्रसार करना, उन्हें अपने जीवन में जी कर दिखाना। यह एक स्वाभाविक और सर्वमान्य तथ्य है कि किसी की भी शिष्यता प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के द्वारा स्वेच्छा से धारण की जाती है। व्यक्ति किसी का आदर कर सकता है, उसकी शिक्षाओं और जीवन को भला और अनुसरणीय मान सकता है, किन्तु यह करने से वह उसका शिष्य नहीं हो जाता है। शिष्य बनने के लिए स्वेच्छा से और समझते-बूझते हुए निर्णय लेना पड़ता है, उस निर्णय के अनुसार जीना पड़ता है। न तो कोई वंशागत रीति से शिष्यता प्राप्त करता है, और न ही किसी को बलपूर्वक, या किसी लोभ-लालच में एक वास्तविक, सच्चा और समर्पित शिष्य बनाया जा सकता है। और यदि कोई इस प्रकार अनुचित रीति से मसीह यीशु का शिष्य बन भी जाए, तो भी उसके जीवन से मसीही विश्वास की बातें और व्यवहार दिखाई नहीं देगा। वह मसीही होने के प्रभु यीशु के उद्देश्यों को कभी निभा नहीं सकेगा, कभी पूरा नहीं कर सकेगा। वह केवल नाम ही का मसीही होगा, किसी काम का या वास्तविक मसीही नहीं।

 

दूसरा कारण, मसीह यीशु के प्रति अपूर्ण समर्पण और अधूरी आज्ञाकारिता, के बारे में समझने के लिए प्रभु यीशु द्वारा अपनी कलीसिया या मण्डली या “Church” बनाने की बात को देखना, जानना, और समझना होगा। जो प्रभु के साथ वास्तविकता में जुड़ गए हैं, वे स्वतः ही प्रभु की मण्डली या कलीसिया के साथ भी जुड़ गए हैं। इस मण्डली या कलीसिया के लिए प्रभु की एक योजना है, प्रयोजन है, और अन्ततः मनुष्य की कल्पना से भी बढ़कर प्रतिफल भी हैं। जो मसीही विश्वासी अपने आप को प्रभु की मण्डली या कलीसिया का एक अभिन्न एवं महत्वपूर्ण अंग होने, और उसमें अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी को ठीक से समझ लेगा, फिर वह अपने मसीही जीवन को प्रभु की इच्छा के अनुसार और प्रभु की महिमा के लिए व्यतीत करेगा। आज से आरंभ होने वाली इस श्रृंखला में हम प्रभु की इस कलीसिया या मण्डली के बारे में अध्ययन आरंभ करेंगे। कलीसिया के विषय जानकारी और समझ-बूझ लेने के लिए हम बाइबल में “कलीसिया” या “Church” शब्द के प्रथम प्रयोग के पद, प्रभु यीशु द्वारा अपने शिष्य पतरस से कही गई बात, “और मैं भी तुझ से कहता हूं, कि तू पतरस है; और मैं इस पत्थर पर अपनी कलीसिया बनाऊंगा: और अधोलोक के फाटक उस पर प्रबल न होंगे” (मत्ती 16:18) से आरंभ करेंगे। इस पद में निहित कलीसिया के विभिन्न पहलुओं को देखने के बाद, फिर हम बाइबल में अन्य स्थानों से प्रभु की कलीसिया के विषय और बातों को देखेंगे, सीखेंगे।

 

 यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Introduction

Today being known as a “Christian” is assumed to be the follower of a religion, commonly known as the Christian Religion, which, according to the Bible is not a correct understanding of the term “Christian.” Even in the Christian religion, the followers of this religion, instead of living together in unity and working for a common purpose, are divided into many denominations, sects, groups. Each denomination, sect, group has a different set of beliefs, rituals, and traditions; and often one set is quite different from any other. Because of these differences, usually there are serious differences of thinking and opinion, which can often result in feelings of opposition, bitterness, criticism, even going to the extent of enmity. Because of these things, it becomes difficult to believe and accept that they all are the followers of the same Lord Jesus Christ. These people, who preach and teach to the world about virtues love, sacrifice, forbearance, cooperation, humility, helping others etc., in their own lives and mutual behavior, particularly towards another denomination, sect, or group, these very things are found to be sorely lacking or minimal. There are two main reasons for this contradiction, and both are related to the non-compliance with the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) given by the Lord Jesus to His disciples. The first reason is that everyone who calls himself a follower of the Lord Jesus, is not actually a true and committed disciple of the Lord Jesus. They do not do according to what the Lord Jesus has said, but according to what seems right to them, or according to what the leaders and elders of their denomination, sect, or group decide and tell them to do, and they consider it their ultimate duty to do that; in one way or another, they are committed to, and obey a man; not the Lord Jesus Christ. The second reason is that those who call themselves “Christian Believers'' or “Born-Again” Christians, those who claim to have accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus willingly, even they either do not know, or, do not care much about the Lord Jesus calling them to be His disciple and the Lord’s purpose for calling them. Therefore, because of their incomplete obedience to the Lord Jesus and His Word, their lives too do not practically demonstrate in their day-to-day lives the truths about their faith.

We have already seen in detail, in the previous articles, about the first reason. To recapitulate in brief, according to Acts 11:26, a Christian is one who is a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. To be someone’s disciple means to surrender and commit oneself to that person, and to do according to that person’s instructions, follow and propagate his teachings, to live them out in life. This is a natural and universally accepted fact that a discipleship is always accepted by a person willingly. A person can respect someone, can accept that person’s life and teachings to be good and worthy of following, but his doing this does not make him that person’s disciple. To become a disciple, one has to willingly and knowingly take a decision and live by it. Nobody can inherit a discipleship, nor can anyone be made a true and committed disciple by any kinds of fear, compulsion, inducements, enticing, etc. If someone does become a “disciple” in this manner, through any of these things, even then, the characteristics of Christian Faith will never be seen in his life and behavior. Such a person will never be able to work for and fulfill the purposes of the Lord Jesus for His disciples; he will only remain a superficial, un-committed ‘disciple’ only in name, will not truly be an actual Christian Believer.

To understand the second reason about incomplete surrender and obedience towards the Lord, one will have to know, learn, and understand the building of His Church by the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who have truly and actually joined with the Lord Jesus, they have automatically also joined with His Church or Assembly. The Lord has a plan and purpose for His Church or Assembly, and eventually heavenly rewards far beyond any human thinking or imagination. The Christian Believer who understands his being joined to and becoming an inseparable part of the Lord’s Church and realizes his responsibilities about it, he will then live his life according to the Lord’s will and for His glory. From this series, starting from today, we will begin a study about the Church or Assembly of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will start our study on this topic through studying and understanding the first use of this term “Church” in the Bible, in the conversation between the Lord Jesus and His disciples Peter, “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). After considering the various teachings and implications related to the Church given in this verse, we will then see some other things about the Church from other places in the Bible.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

उपसंहार

पिछले दो महीनों से हम मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की भूमिका, उनके द्वारा दिए गए वरदानों के, और उन वरदानों के उपयोग, तथा पवित्र आत्मा तथा आत्मिक वरदानों के साथ जुड़ी अनेकों भ्रांतियों के बारे में परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से देखते आ रहे हैं, और सीखते आ रहे हैं कि उन गलत शिक्षाओं की तुलना में वचन में दी गई सही बातें क्या हैं, वचन की उन बातों के अभिप्राय क्या हैं, और कैसे उन बातों को उनके संदर्भ, तात्कालिक पाठक या श्रोताओं के लिए अर्थ, प्रयोग किए गए शब्दों के मूल भाषा के शब्दार्थ, और वचन में उन से संबंधित अन्य शिक्षाओं एवं बातों के साथ मिलाकर, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के अगुवाई में किए गए अध्ययन से ये गलत शिक्षाएं पहचानी जा सकती हैं, और इनसे बचा जा सकता है, बाहर निकला जा सकता है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों को, उनके जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की भूमिका और कार्य के बारे में कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएं यूहन्ना 14 और 16 अध्याय में दी हैं। मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन और सेवकाई में पवित्र आत्मा और आत्मिक वरदानों के संदर्भ में प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए इन शिक्षाओं को जानना और समझना, और फिर इनके अनुसार लोगों द्वारा दी जा रही शिक्षाओं का आँकलन करना बहुत आवश्यक है, क्योंकि ये शिक्षाएं प्रभु ने इसी उद्देश्य से अपने शिष्यों को दी थीं।

प्रभु यीशु ने शिष्यों से कहा, “मैं अब से तुम्हारे साथ और बहुत बातें न करूंगा, क्योंकि इस संसार का सरदार आता है, और मुझ में उसका कुछ नहीं” (यूहन्ना 14:30)। प्रभु जानता था कि उनके स्वर्गारोहण के पश्चात, शैतान उनके कार्य को बिगाड़ने और शिष्यों द्वारा सुसमाचार की सेवकाई को बाधित या निष्फल करने के लिए उन शिष्यों पर और उनकी सेवकाई पर हमला करेगा। क्योंकि शैतान एक बहुत प्रबल शत्रु है, और अनेकों युक्तियों तथा धार्मिक और सही प्रतीत होने वाली बातों एवं व्यवहार के द्वारा प्रभु के शिष्यों और सेवकाई के कार्यों में बाधा डालेगा (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3, 13-15), इसी लिए शिष्यों की सहायता के लिए प्रभु ने अपने पवित्र आत्मा को उनमें और उनके साथ रहने के लिए भेजा। हम देख चुके हैं कि जैसे ही कोई व्यक्ति पापों से पश्चाताप करके, उनके लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा माँगता है, प्रभु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करता है और अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित कर देता है, उसी पल से तुरंत ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उसके जीवन में आकर, उसके मसीही जीवन और सेवकाई में उसका सहायक और मार्गदर्शक होने के लिए, उसके अन्दर सर्वदा के लिए निवास करने लगता है (यूहन्ना 14:16-17; 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19)। साथ ही परमेश्वर पिता ने जो भी सेवकाई उस व्यक्ति के लिए निर्धारित की है (इफिसियों 2:10) उसे भली-भांति निभाने के लिए उस व्यक्ति को उपयुक्त आत्मिक वरदान भी प्रदान करता है, तथा उन वरदानों का प्रयोग करना सिखाता है। प्रभु यीशु के विश्वासी की आशीष और आत्मिक जीवन में उन्नति, उसके द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई को ठीक से करने में ही है; इसी उद्देश्य से परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उसके अन्दर रहता है।

परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपनी सम्पूर्ण सामर्थ्य के साथ प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी में उसके उद्धार पाने और परमेश्वर की संतान बन जाने (यूहन्ना 1:12-13) के क्षण से ही विद्यमान है; किन्तु जब तक वह विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा के कहे के अनुसार न करे, उसके चलाए न चले (गलातियों 5:16, 18, 26), तो फिर उसके जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति और सामर्थ्य कैसे प्रकट होगी? अदन की वाटिका में पहला पाप करवाने के लिए शैतान ने अपनी जिस युक्ति का प्रयोग किया था, उसे ही आज भी वह उतनी ही कारगर रीति से प्रयोग करता है। उसकी यह युक्ति है मनुष्य के मन में विचार उत्पन्न करना कि परमेश्वर ने उसे क्या नहीं दिया है, और जो नहीं दिया है वह कैसे उसके लिए उत्तम और लाभदायक है और आसानी से मिल सकता है; इसके द्वारा परमेश्वर के वचन पर संदेह उत्पन्न करके, उसके विरुद्ध मन में प्रश्न उठाकर, मनुष्य द्वारा अपनी दृष्टि और समझ के अनुसार अच्छी, लुभावनी, और मन-भावनी प्रतीत होने वाली बात को ही सही मानना, और परमेश्वर के वचन के विरुद्ध, अपनी दृष्टि और समझ में सही बात का पालन करना, और फिर परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता के पाप में गिर जाना। इसी युक्ति के अन्तर्गत शैतान ने परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, उनके कार्य, और उनके द्वारा दिए जाने वाले आत्मिक वरदानों के बारे में बहुत सी गलत शिक्षाएं बहुत धार्मिक, भक्तिपूर्ण, आकर्षक और लुभावनी लगने वाली बातों के रूप में मसीही या ईसाई कहलाए जाने वाले लोगों में फैला रखी हैं, यहाँ तक कि अनेकों वास्तविक मसीही विश्वासियों को भी उन बातों के भ्रम में फंसा रखा है। जब इन बातों को ध्यान से और गहराई से समझा आजाता है, उनका आँकलन किया जाता है, तो उनके घातक और पापमय निहितार्थ एवं परिणाम प्रकट हो जाते हैं।

जब तक मसीही विश्वासी मत और डिनौमिनेशन की उन मन-गढ़ंत गलत शिक्षाओं से बाहर आकर पवित्र आत्मा के मार्गदर्शन के द्वारा वचन की सच्चाई और खराई को समझकर, उसका पालन करना आरंभ नहीं करेगा, वह शैतान द्वारा खड़े किए गए एक काल्पनिक “मसीही” विश्वास तथा धार्मिकता की चकाचौंध, आकर्षण, शारीरिक उन्माद और लुभावने अनुभव उत्पन्न करने वाली बातों में, तथा उसके अनुसार किए गए कार्यों के धोखे में फंसा रहेगा, जिनसे शारीरिक संतुष्टि तो मिल सकती है, किन्त न तो कोई आत्मिक लाभ अथवा वृद्धि होती है, और न ही जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा के फल उत्पन्न होते हैं। अन्ततः जब ऐसे “मसीही विश्वासियों” की आँख खुलेगी, और वे सच्चाई को जानेंगे, पहचानेंगे, तब तक बहुत देर हो चुकी होगी, और उन पाँच मूर्ख कुँवारियों के समान उनके वापस परमेश्वर के पास लौटने के द्वारा हमेशा के लिए बंद हो चुके होंगे। एक बहुत साधारण और सीधी सी बात है, जो कुछ वचन में दिया गया नहीं है, वचन के अनुसार नहीं है, जो कुछ भी वचन के बाहर से है, जो कुछ भी वचन में जोड़ कर या उसमें से घटा कर बताया और सिखाया जा रहा है, वह सत्य नहीं है, शैतान की ओर से है, और कदापि उसका पालन नहीं करना है - वह चाहे मानवीय बुद्धि और तर्क के अनुसार कितना भी ठीक, आकर्षक, धार्मिक, और उचित क्यों न लगे; चाहे कितने भी और कैसे भी लोग उसके पक्ष में क्यों न बोलें।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो अभी समय रहते 2 कुरिन्थियों 13:5 के अनुसार अपने आप को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप सही विश्वास में हैं कि नहीं। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा, परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के अनुसार चलाए ही चलें, अन्य हर बात से बाहर हो जाएं। चाहे ऐसा करने के लिए कैसी भी कीमत क्यों न चुकानी पड़े, क्योंकि आज की थोड़ी सी हानि, कल की अनन्त आशीष और भलाई बन जाएगी। किन्तु यदि आप सच्चाई के लिए आज यह थोड़ी सी हानि उठाने, यह कीमत चुकाने के लिए तैयार नहीं होंगे, तो कल यह आपके लिए अनन्त हानि और पीड़ा का कारण बन जाएगी। इसलिए सही निर्णय लेकर, और उसके अनुसार उचित कार्य कर लें।

Utilizing Spiritual Gifts - Conclusion

For the past two months, we have been studying the role of God the Holy Spirit in the life and ministry of a Born-Again Christian Believer, about the Spiritual gifts given by Him, about utilizing those gifts gifts through Him. We have also examined from God’s Word the Bible many false teachings and wrong doctrines commonly preached and taught about God the Holy Spirit, His role and working, and His gifts to the Believers. We saw from the Bible what the actual teachings are, when seen and examined properly, what their implications are and what they actually mean, and how when through the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit the misinterpreted and misused verses and their related teachings are seen in their actual context and along with the meanings of the words used in the original language that they were written in, their actual meaning becomes clear, their misinterpretation and misuse can be identified, and we can come out of the false teachings and wrong doctrines preached about them. The Lord Jesus during His life and ministry on earth, taught His disciples about the Holy Spirit and His role, as we see in John chapters 14 and 16. It is essential for every Christian Believer to not only learn and understand the role of God the Holy Spirit and His Spiritual gifts in his own life and ministry, but to also teach them to others, to keep others safe from false teachings and wrong doctrines, because that is why the Lord Jesus gave the teachings to His disciples.

The Lord Jesus said to His disciples, “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me” (John 14:30). The Lord knew that after His ascension to heaven, Satan will attack to corrupt and spoil His work, and to obstruct the gospel ministry of His disciples, to render it ineffective and infructuous. Since Satan is a very powerful enemy, and will attack through many devious devices, bring in many seemingly correct, religious, pious, reverential, but actually corrupted, misinterpreted and beguiling teachings from God’s Word (2 Corinthians 11:3, 13-15), therefore to help and guide the disciples in the right way and correct understanding, the Lord sent His Holy Spirit to live in them and be with them at all times. We have seen that the moment a person repents of his sins, asks forgiveness for them from the Lord Jesus, accepts the Lord Jesus as his savior, and surrenders his life to Him to live in obedience to His Word, from that very moment, God the Holy Spirit comes into his life and starts residing in him; to always be with him, to be his guide and helper in his Christian life and ministry (John 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19). For every Born-Again child of God, God has determined some work(s) beforehand (Ephesians 2:10); and God the Holy Spirit gives the Christian Believers the appropriate Spiritual gifts to properly and worthily fulfill the God given work, and also teaches how to utilize those gifts. The blessings and growth in spiritual life of every Christian Believer are through worthily fulfilling his God assigned responsibilities; and God the Holy Spirit resides in him to help him in this.

God the Holy Spirit in His full form and strength is present in every Christian Believer from the moment he is saved and becomes a child of God (John 1:12-13). But unless and until a Christian Believer does as the Holy Spirit tells him to do, is submitted and obedient to Him (Galatians 5:16, 18, 26), how can the Holy Spirit work in his life, manifest His power through him? The trick Satan played in the Garden of Eden to have the first sin committed, he still uses it just as readily and effectively, as then. This trick of his is to deviate a person’s mind and thoughts into what God has not given him, how God has held back something good and beneficial from him and how easily he can acquire it. Thereby Satan creates doubts in man’s heart about God and His Word, gets man to trust in his own ability to think and understand about things; makes those things appear good, attractive, desirable, and necessary; and entices him to disobey God, sin against God. Using this same devious device, Satan has spread many false teachings and wrong doctrines about God the Holy Spirit, His role and work, His spiritual gifts amongst “Christians” and “Believers” and has even deceived many actual Christian Believers. These unBiblical Satanic teachings appear to be very religious, reverential, pious, attractive and beneficial externally and initially. But as one examines them in their depth, their damning and deadly implications and effects become apparent.

Unless and until the Christian Believers learn to study and understand God’s Word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and start obeying Him, instead of following and obeying the contrived denominational and sectarian doctrines and teachings, he will remain caught-up and fallen in a make-believe, a false “Christian” religion and belief and its seemingly reverential appearance, attractiveness, physical frenzy, its enticing and blinding dazzle, that may gratify the body, but produce no spiritual benefits or fruits of the Spirit. Eventually, when the eyes of such beguiled “Christian Believers” actually open and they get to see the truth, it will be too late for them; like the five foolish virgins, the doors to return to the Lord would have been closed forever for them. There is a very simple and straightforward principle for assessing spiritual things - anything not given in God’s Word the Bible, anything that is not consistent with the Biblical teachings, anything that is extraneous to what is written in the Bible, anything that is being taught by adding to or taking away from the teachings of the Bible – none of it is not from God and is not to be followed or trusted - no matter how persuasive, logical, correct, attractive, religious, pious, and appropriate it may appear, and no matter how many people, of whatever status and importance may speak in its favor - anything not in the Word of God is not from God!

If you are a Christian Believer, then while you still have the time and opportunity, in accordance with 2 Corinthians 13:5, examine yourself and see if you are in the correct Christian Faith; or whether you are following contrived teachings of men. Only follow the Biblical teachings under the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, get out of everything else; no matter what price you have to pay for it. Because a small loss, in any form or manner, suffered today, will bring indescribable and manifold eternal blessings and benefits. But if you are not ready to suffer this small loss today, then it can become a cause for eternal damnation and torment for you tomorrow. Therefore take the right decision and accordingly take the right steps for your life.

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, a child of God, entitled to a place in heaven, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start learning, understanding, and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को कलीसिया की भलाई और उन्नति के लिए उसे परमेश्वर से मिली उसकी सेवकाई के अनुसार दिए गए वरदानों के प्रयोग के लिए व्यक्तिगत रीति से तैयार होने को सिखाने के बाद, पवित्र आत्मा उसके द्वारा दिए गए वरदानों के व्यावहारिक प्रयोग के बारे में बताता है। इस अध्याय के पद 6-8 एक बार फिर हमारे सामने आत्मिक वरदानों से संबंधित सदा ध्यान रखने और पालन करने वाले तथ्यों को दोहराता है।

यह पद स्मरण दिलाते हैं कि:

• सभी मसीही विश्वासियों को भिन्न-भिन्न वरदान दिए गए हैं; सभी को एक ही वरदान नहीं दिया गया है, और न ही किसी एक को सभी या अधिकांश वरदान दिए गए हैं। इसलिए किसी एक वरदान के सभी में विद्यमान होने की इच्छा रखना और परमेश्वर से यह माँग करने की शिक्षा वचन के अनुसार सही नहीं है। क्योंकि न तो हर किसी की एक ही सेवकाई है, और न ही हर किसी को एक ही, या समान वरदान दिया गया है।

• यहाँ पर किसी सेवकाई अथवा वरदान को किसी अन्य की तुलना में बड़ा या छोटा, अथवा कम या अधिक महत्वपूर्ण नहीं कहा गया है। मसीही सेवकाई और उनके निर्वाह के लिए दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों के विषय इस प्रकार की कोई धारणा रखना और सिखाना, वचन के अनुसार सही नहीं है। 

• प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को ये सेवकाई तथा वरदान परमेश्वर द्वारा उसके अनुग्रह में होकर दिए गए हैं। किसे कौन सी सेवकाई देनी है, और फिर उस सेवकाई के अनुसार किसे कौन सा वरदान देना है, यह परमेश्वर ही निर्धारित करता है। सेवकाई और वरदानों के दिए जाने में किसी मनुष्य की किसी भी प्रकार की कोई भी भूमिका नहीं है। किसी को भी कोई भी सेवकाई तथा वरदान, उसकी किसी योग्यता अथवा गुण के अनुसार नहीं दिए गए हैं। इसका एक उत्तम उदाहरण है प्रेरित पतरस और पौलुस को सौंपी गई सुसमाचार प्रचार की सेवकाइयां। वचन बताता है कि पतरस एक “अनपढ़ और साधारण” मनुष्य था (प्रेरितों 4:13), और पौलुस, उद्धार से पहले, परमेश्वर के वचन की उच्च शिक्षा पाया हुआ एक फरीसी था (प्रेरितों 22:3; 26:5)। दोनों को ही परमेश्वर ने सुसमाचार प्रचार के लिए नियुक्त किया था। मानवीय बुद्धि और समझ, तथा उन दोनों की योग्यताओं के अनुसार, उपयुक्त होता कि पतरस को अन्यजातियों में भेजा जाए, जो परमेश्वर के वचन और व्यवस्था के बारे में नहीं जानते थे; और पौलुस को जो व्यवस्था और वचन का विद्वान था, यहूदियों के मध्य सेवकाई के लिए भेज जाए। किन्तु परमेश्वर ने पतरस को यहूदियों के मध्य, और पौलुस को अन्यजातियों में सुसमाचार प्रचार की सेवकाई के लिए नियुक्त किया (रोमियों 11:13; गलातीयों 2:7), जो उनकी व्यक्तिगत योग्यता के अनुसार कदापि नहीं था, किन्तु परमेश्वर ने अपने अनुग्रह और योजना में अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार ठहराया था। साथ ही इस बात का भी ध्यान करें कि न तो पतरस ने, और न ही पौलुस ने परमेश्वर से कभी अपनी योग्यता और प्रशिक्षण के अनुसार अपनी सेवकाई या सेवकाई के लोगों को बदलने की कोई प्रार्थना की। जैसा परमेश्वर ने जिसे सौंपा, उसने वह वैसा परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता और इच्छा के अनुसार, उसके लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई सामर्थ्य और सद्बुद्धि के अनुसार किया। यही बात हम वचन के अन्य भागों में भी देखते हैं।

• प्रत्येक विश्वासी को परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई को ज़िम्मेदारी और वफादारी से निभाना है। इन तीन पदों में पवित्र आत्मा पौलुस द्वारा मसीही विश्वासियों को लिखवा रहा है कि जिसे जो सेवकाई सौंपी गई है, उसे उसी सेवकाई को अपनी भरसक सामर्थ्य के अनुसार करना है। पूरे वचन में कहीं कोई उदाहरण नहीं है कि परमेश्वर के किसी प्रेरित अथवा सेवक ने उसके लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित सेवकाई के बदले कोई अन्य सेवकाई प्राप्त की हो। कुछ लोगों ने, जैसे कि योना नबी ने, और आरंभ में मूसा ने और यिर्मयाह ने अपनी सेवकाई को लेकर अप्रसन्नता अवश्य व्यक्त की, उससे बचना चाहा, किन्तु बच कोई नहीं सका; अन्ततः उन्हें जाकर वही करना पड़ा जो परमेश्वर ने उनके लिए ठहराया था।  

• साथ ही इन पदों तथा शेष पदों में लिखे गए निर्देश की वाक्य-रचना पर भी ध्यान कीजिए - परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपे गए सभी कार्यों को निरंतर चलते रहने, उन्हें लगातार किए जाते रहने वाले भाव में कहा गया है। कहीं यह नहीं लिखा है, अथवा ऐसा कोई संकेत दिया गया है कि उसके लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की गई सेवकाई समाप्त होने वाली या कुछ समय तक की ही है। अर्थात, जब तक परमेश्वर स्वयं किसी कारण उस सेवकाई में कोई परिवर्तन न करे, तब तक मसीही सेवक को उसे सौंपे गए कार्य को करते ही चले जाना है। पौलुस जीवन भर सुसमाचार प्रचार में ही लगा रहा। जब उसे बंदी बनाया गया, तो उसने पत्रियाँ लिख कर इस सेवा को किया; जब वह बंदी नहीं था, तो एक से दूसरे स्थान पर जाकर, हर सताव, कठिनाई, दुख, तिरस्कार, उत्पीड़न, आदि को सहते हुए भी, वह अपनी सेवकाई को करता ही रहा; एक के बाद एक अन्य स्थानों पर जाकर सुसमाचार प्रचार के अवसर तलाशता रहा, उन अवसरों का प्रयोग करता रहा। और यही बात अन्य प्रेरितों और सेवकों के जीवनों में भी देखी जाती है। परमेश्वर के पूरे वचन में ऐसा कोई नहीं है जिसे उसकी परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की गई सेवकाई से कभी “सेवा-निवृत्ति (retirement)” मिली हो। उनका देहांत ही उनकी सेवकाई से सेवा-निवृत्ति थी, और जब तक वे पृथ्वी पर रहे, परमेश्वर उन्हें सामर्थ्य, बुद्धि और बल देता रहा कि वे अपने कार्य को करते रहें, परमेश्वर के लिए उपयोगी बने रहें।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप अपनी निर्धारित सेवकाई को पहचानें, और अपने आप को तैयार कर के उस सेवकाई को परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों की सहायता से पूरा करें। जब तक परमेश्वर आपको किसी अन्य कार्य के लिए न कहे, जो उसने सौंपा है, उसे ही करते रहें। औरों की सेवकाइयों को लेकर शैतान के किसी भ्रम या बहकावे में न पड़ें; और न ही पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से इस संबंध में 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:31 के आधार पर गलत शिक्षाएं देने वालों की भ्रामक बातों में, जिनकी चर्चा हम पहले कर चुके हैं, आएं। आप परमेश्वर के प्रति वफादार बने रहिए, और वह आपके प्रति वफादार रहेगा, आपको आपके अनन्त जीवन के लिए सुरक्षित एवं आशीषित रखेगा।

Utilizing Spiritual Gifts - Romans 12:6-8 - According to the Assigned Ministry

God the Holy Spirit has given Spiritual gifts to every Christian Believer according to the Ministry assigned to him by God, to use for the benefit and edification of the Church. Having taught to use these gifts worthily through self-assessment and preparation, the Holy Spirit then goes on to teach the practical utilization of these Spiritual gifts. Verses 6-8 of this chapter once again repeats before us the basic facts to always be kept in mind and followed.

These verses remind us that:

• All Christian Believers have been given differing gifts; everyone has not been given the same gift; nor has anyone received most, or all of the gifts. Therefore, to desire to have a particular gift in everyone and asking God to do so, is not consistent with God’s Word, this teaching is incorrect. Because not everyone has the same ministry, and neither does everyone need the same gift for their ministry.

• Here, no ministry or gift has been called lesser or greater than any other, or of greater or lesser importance than any other. Having and teaching any such concept about Spiritual gifts and ministry, and teaching them is not according to God’s Word, is wrong.

• Every Christian Believer has been given their ministry and Spiritual gift by God in His grace. It is God and God alone who determines which ministry and the corresponding Spiritual gift to give to a person. No man has any role, none whatsoever, in the assigning of the ministries and giving of the Spiritual gifts. No one has been given any ministry or Spiritual gift because of any ability or characteristic. An excellent example of this fact are the ministries assigned to the Apostles Paul and Peter. God’s Word tells us that Peter was an “uneducated and untrained man” (Acts 4:13), and Paul, before his salvation, was a learned Pharisee, highly trained in the Scriptures (Acts 22:3; 26:5). Both were appointed by God for preaching and propagating the Gospel. Going by human understanding, reasoning and logic, it would have been better to send Peter to the Gentiles, since neither he nor the Gentiles knew much about the Jewish Scriptures; and Paul, who was learned in the Jewish Scriptures should be sent to the Jews for this ministry. But God sent Peter to the Jews and Paul to the Gentiles for this ministry (Romans 11:13; Galatians 2:7), which did not correspond to their individual abilities at all; but it was something that God in His grace had determined for both of them. Also take note that neither Peter nor Paul prayed and asked for change in ministry according to their abilities and qualifications, or preferences. As God assigned to them, they did it with the ability and wisdom given by God to them. We see the same thing at other places, with other minsters of God as well.

• Every Believer has to faithfully carry out the ministry entrusted to him by God. In these three verses, the Holy Spirit has had it written to the Believers that everyone has to fulfill his assigned ministry as best as he can, to the best of his abilities. There is no example of anyone having his ministry or Spiritual gift changed, anywhere in the Bible, they did what was asked of them by God. What we do find is that some people of God tried not to do what God had asked them to do, like Jonah, and initially Moses and Jeremiah were reluctant; but none could escape or not do what God wanted them to do. Whether willingly, or unwillingly, eventually everyone had to do what God had asked them to do.

• Also take note of the construction of the sentences in these three verses - everything assigned by God has to be carried out continually. Nowhere has it been written or indicated that the ministry assigned by God was only for a period of time, or would finish in sometime. In other words, a Christian minister has to carry on his ministry continually unless and until God Himself does not change it. Paul continued in his gospel outreach ministry throughout his life. Even when he was put in prison, he continued doing the work through writing letters; and when he was free to move around, he went from place to place and preached the gospel, suffering persecution, pain, rejection, problems of various kinds, but never stopping or giving up on his ministry; rather he was always on the lookout for opportunities to preach the gospel and utilize them. The same thing was also seen in the other Apostles and ministers of God. In the whole Bible, there is no one who was ever “retired” from the ministry God had assigned to them. Their death was their retirement, and while they remained on earth, God continued to give them the strength, ability, and wisdom to carry on in their ministry and be useful for God.

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is essential for you to recognize your assigned ministry from God, prepare yourself for it, and fulfill it, utilizing the Spiritual gifts given by God. Unless and until God asks you to do something else, carry on in whatever God has asked you to do unceasingly. Do not be misled and fall away from your ministry by any satanic deceptions related to someone else’s ministry and Spiritual gifts; especially take care to not get carried away by the misinterpretations and misuse of 1 Corinthians 12:31 by those preach and teach wrong doctrines and false teachings about the Holy Spirit, as we have already seen before. You remain faithful to God, and He too will remain faithful to you, and keep you safe for eternity.

वरदानों का प्रयोग - रोमियों 12:4-5 - मण्डली के एक अभिन्न एवं उपयोगी अंग के समान

 

रोमियों 12 अध्याय हमें अपनी मसीही सेवकाई और उसके अनुसार हमें प्रदान किए गए आत्मिक वरदानों के प्रयोग की तैयारी के बारे में सिखाता है। इस अध्याय के पहले तीन पदों से हम देख चुके हैं कि इन दायित्वों के खराई से निर्वाह के लिए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी में कुछ बातों का होना अनिवार्य है, तब ही वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दी गई सेवकाई का भली-भांति निर्वाह करने पाएगा। पहले तीन पदों की ये अनिवार्य बातें हैं वेदी पर चढ़ाए गए बलिदान के समान परमेश्वर को एक पूर्णतः समर्पित जीवन, जो मनुष्यों तथा मनुष्यों के द्वारा गढ़े गए रीति-रिवाजों, प्रथाओं, परंपराओं एवं नियमों के पालन के लिए नहीं, वरन परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के आदर और आज्ञाकारिता में जिया जाता है। ऐसे समर्पित और आज्ञाकारी जीवन की एक अन्य पहचान है कि पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार पाने के द्वारा उस व्यक्ति के अन्दर आया हुआ परिवर्तन उसके बदले हुए व्यवहार, चाल-चलन, जीवन के उद्देश्यों, और उस व्यक्ति की प्रभु और उसके वचन के प्रति प्राथमिकताओं, आदि में दिखता है, और उसके जीवन में हुए उद्धार के कार्य को प्रमाणित भी करता है। सच्चा मसीही विश्वासी और सेवक अपने इन गुणों के द्वारा पहचाना जाता है। इसलिए जो मसीही सेवकाई में संलग्न हैं, या होना चाहते हैं, उन्हें अपने आप को इन गुणों के लिए जाँचना चाहिए, अपना स्व-आँकलन करना चाहिए, और जहाँ जो सुधार आवश्यक हैं उन बातों को परमेश्वर के समक्ष रख कर, परमेश्वर द्वारा बताए गए आवश्यक सुधारों को अपने जीवन में लागू भी करना चाहिए।

 

रोमियों के इस अध्याय में मसीही जीवन और सेवकाई से संबंधित अगली शिक्षा हम 4 और 5 पद में पाते हैं। ये पद वास्तविक, सच्चे, मसीही विश्वासियों को उनके उद्धार और पाप-क्षमा के साथ जुड़े एक आधारभूत तथ्य को स्मरण करवाता है। प्रभु यीशु पर विश्वास लाने, उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित होकर उसे अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने के द्वारा नया जन्म या उद्धार पाए हुए लोगों के विषय यूहन्ना 1:12-13 में लिखा है “परन्तु जितनों ने उसे ग्रहण किया, उसने उन्हें परमेश्वर के सन्तान होने का अधिकार दिया, अर्थात उन्हें जो उसके नाम पर विश्वास रखते हैं। वे न तो लहू से, न शरीर की इच्छा से, न मनुष्य की इच्छा से, परन्तु परमेश्वर से उत्पन्न हुए हैं।” अर्थात, वास्तविकता में उद्धार पाए हुए सभी मसीही विश्वासी, एक ही परिवार - परमेश्वर के परिवार, के सदस्य हैं। मसीही मण्डलियों में बहुत से ऐसे भी घुस आते हैं जो व्यवहार तो उद्धार पाने वालों के समान करते हैं, किन्तु वास्तव में उद्धार पाए हुए नहीं हैं, जैसे प्रेरितों 8:9-24 में शमौन टोन्हा करने वाले के विषय लिखा है (साथ ही प्रेरितों 20:29-30; 1 यूहन्ना 2:18-19 भी देखिए)। शैतान द्वारा मण्डलियों में लाए गए ऐसे लोग मसीही विश्वासियों और मसीही सेवकाई की बहुत हानि का, तथा समाज में प्रभु यीशु मसीह में पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के सुसमाचार के प्रचार और प्रसार के गलत समझे जाने और विरोध होने का कारण ठहरते हैं। इसीलिए हमें उपरोक्त गुणों के अनुसार, तथा 1 यूहन्ना 2:3-6; 4:1-6, आदि के अनुसार लोगों को देख-परख कर, उनकी वास्तविकता को पहचान कर ही उन्हें मसीही मण्डलियों में आदर या स्थान देना चाहिए। विशेषकर वचन की सेवकाई और मण्डली के संचालन आदि की ज़िम्मेदारियाँ देने से पहले लोगों को बारीकी से जाँच-परख लेना चाहिए, अन्यथा उनके द्वारा बोए गए कड़वे बीज और गलत शिक्षाएं आगे चलकर बहुत हानि का कारण ठहरेंगे।

  

जो प्रभु परमेश्वर के परिवार का सदस्य है, वह अपने परिवार के लोगों के साथ मेल-मिलाप रखेगा, उनकी भलाई की सोचेगा (गलातियों 6:10; 1 तिमुथियुस 5:8), उनके हित में होकर कार्य करेगा; तथा परमेश्वर के वचन के निर्देश के अनुसार (1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7), अपने आत्मिक वरदानों को अपनी नहीं वरन सभी की भलाई के लिए प्रयोग करेगा। वह इस एहसास के साथ जीता और कार्य करता है कि परमेश्वर के परिवार में, प्रभु की मण्डली - उसकी देह (इफिसियों 5:25-30) में वह एक आवश्यक, उपयोगी, और अभिन्न अंग है। इसलिए किसी भी मसीही विश्वासी का कैसा भी अनुचित जीवन, व्यवहार, और कार्य, परमेश्वर के पूरे परिवार, प्रभु की पूरी मण्डली पर दुष्प्रभाव लाता है, उनके लिए दुख का कारण होता है और उनकी सेवकाई के कार्यों को सुचारु रीति से करने में बाधा बनता है।

रोमियों 12:4 यह बिल्कुल स्पष्ट बता रहा है कि जैसे देह के सभी अंगों का एक ही या समान ही कार्य नहीं होता है, वैसे ही प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी की भी मण्डली में अपनी-अपनी, औरों से भिन्न सेवकाई है, भिन्न दायित्व हैं, जो उनके लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित किए गए हैं। इसलिए सभी को अपनी-अपनी सेवकाई, अपने-अपने दायित्वों का सही रीति से निर्वाह करना है। किसी दूसरे की सेवकाई या दायित्वों को लेकर ईर्ष्या नहीं करनी है, उसकी सेवकाई को अपने लिए लेने और करने के प्रयास नहीं करने हैं, और न ही अपनी सेवकाई के कारण अपने आप को उच्च या महान समझने, घमण्ड करने की प्रवृत्ति रखनी है; क्योंकि जैसा कि हम पहले देख चुके हैं, परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में सभी सेवकाई और आत्मिक वरदान बराबर स्तर के हैं, बड़े या छोटे नहीं। देह के सभी अंग अपने-अपने स्थान और कार्य के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं; कोई भी अंग अथवा उसका कार्य देह के लिए कम या अधिक महत्वपूर्ण नहीं है, सभी का समान महत्व और उपयोग है। जैसे किसी एक अंग के न होने के कारण, या सुचारु रीति से कार्य न करने के कारण सारी देह अपनी रचना में अपूर्ण हो जाती है, या कार्य में अधूरी अथवा कम कार्य-कुशल हो जाती है, वैसे ही किसी भी मसीही विश्वासी के द्वारा मण्डली में ठीक से कार्य न करने अथवा मण्डली की परिस्थितियों के कारण चाहते हुए भी ठीक से नहीं कर पाने के द्वारा मण्डली के साथ भी होता है। इसीलिए रोमियों 12:5 मसीही विश्वासियों को न केवल प्रभु की देह का अंग, वरन एक-दूसरे का अंग भी बताता है, जो मण्डली के लिए भी तथा एक-दूसरे के लिए भी सहायक और उपयोगी हों।

 

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो अपनी सेवकाई को ठीक से, प्रभु की इच्छानुसार, तथा अपने आत्मिक वरदानों का उपयुक्त उपयोग मण्डली की भलाई और उन्नति के लिए कर पाने के लिए, आपके लिए यह आवश्यक है कि अपने आप को, औरों के समान ही, परमेश्वर के परिवार का तथा प्रभु की देह, उसकी मण्डली का एक अभिन्न एवं उपयोगी अंग समझ कर कार्य करें। न अपने आप को किसी से गौण या छोटा अथवा कम उपयोगी समझें, और न ही किसी प्रकार से विशिष्ट और उच्च होने की भावना अपने में उत्पन्न होने दें। अन्यथा शैतान आपको हीन भावना अथवा घमण्ड से ग्रसित करके, अपने या मण्डली के, या मण्डली के किसी सदस्य के विरुद्ध किसी-न-किसी पाप में उलझा और फंसा देगा, प्रभु के लिए आपके कार्य और उपयोगिता की हानि करवा देगा। प्रभु परमेश्वर ने जो सेवकाई और वरदान आपको दिया है, उसे ही प्रभु की महिमा, सुसमाचार के प्रचार और प्रसार, तथा मण्डली के उन्नति कि लिए योग्य रीति से प्रयोग करें। तब आप भी उन्हीं तथा वैसे ही आशीषों के पात्र होंगे जैसे कोई अन्य प्रभु द्वारा उसे दी गई सेवकाई को सुचारु रीति से करने के द्वारा होगा।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Utilizing Spiritual Gifts - Romans 12:4-5 - As an Integral Part of the Church

Romans chapter 12 teaches us about our Christian Ministry and preparation for using our Spiritual gifts. We have seen from the first three verses of this chapter that for a worthy fulfilment of our ministry responsibilities, it is essential that every Christian Believer should have certain characteristics; only then will he be able to carry out his ministry properly and in a worthy manner. These essential characteristics from the first three verses are, a fully surrendered life to God just as an offering sacrificed on the altar of God. Such a life is not meant to be lived according to contrived, man-made customs, rites and rituals, traditions, rules and regulations, but in obedience to God and His Word. A life so committed, surrendered and obedient to God has another characteristic - the person who has received the forgiveness of sins and salvation, has had an inner change, manifests it through his changed life, behavior, purpose, and according the first priority to the Lord and His Word; this also affirms the work of salvation in his life. A true and committed Christian Believer and minister is recognized by these characteristics. Therefore, anyone engaged, or desiring to be in Christian Ministry, should examine themselves for the presence of these characteristics, and placing their life before God, should carry out whatever corrections and modifications are necessary in their lives, as shown by God to them.

In this chapter from Romans, we see the next teaching related to Christian Life and Ministry, in verses 4 and 5. These verses remind a true and committed Christian Believer of a basic fact related to their receiving forgiveness of sins and salvation. The Apostle John has written about those who have come to faith in the Lord Jesus, have fully surrendered their lives to Him, and accepted Him as their Savior and Lord, have also become the children of God, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13). In other words, all truly Born-Again Christian Believers, are members of one single family - the family of God. Many people sneak into the Christian Assemblies and Churches and behave like those who have been saved, but actually they are not saved, as was Simon the sorcerer mentioned in Acts 8:29-24 (also see Acts 20:29-30; 1 John 2:18-19). Such people, brought into the assemblies and Churches by Satan, not only cause a great deal of harm in them, but also are a potent cause of people misunderstanding the gospel of forgiveness of sins and salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus, and of its opposition by the people of the world. Therefore, according to 1 John 2:3-6; 4:1-6 etc., we should carefully examine and evaluate people coming into the Church or Assembly, and only then give them a place of honor or responsibility. This is very important especially for giving the responsibility of ministering God’s Word or the responsibility of managing the affairs of the local Church to anyone. Otherwise, the harmful seeds of improper attitudes and behavior, wrong teachings, and false doctrines that they sow will be a cause of severe harm in the days to come.

He who truly is a member of God’s family, will stay in fellowship and unity with the other members of his spiritual family, will think about their good (Galatians 6:10; 1 Timothy 5:8), and will do things for their benefit; he, in accordance with the instructions of God’s Word (1 Corinthians 12:7), will use his Spiritual gifts and ministry not for himself but for the benefit and edification of others. Such a person lives and works with the realization that in the family of God, in the Church of the Lord i.e., the body of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-30), he is a necessary, useful, and integral part. Therefore, any unworthy living, behavior, and work of any Christian Believer, brings a harmful effect on the whole family of God, the Church, and becomes a cause for pain and problem for everybody else, and adversely affects the proper work and ministry of the others.

Romans 12:4 is very clearly saying that just as in a body every part and organ has its own place and work, similarly in the Christian Assembly or Church, every member has his own role and ministry, which is different from the work, ministry and role of others, that have been assigned to them by God. Therefore, everyone should carry out his assigned role and ministry properly and worthily. No one should covet another’s ministry or feel envious or jealous of another’s ministry. Neither should anyone feel proud or superior because of the ministry given by God to him; since as we have seen earlier, all Spiritual gifts and ministries are of same importance in God’s eyes. All parts of the body are important and essential in the place they are placed, and the work they have to do; no part of the body or its function is of any lesser importance for the body, all are equally necessary and important. Just as due to the absence, non-functioning, or improper functioning of any one part, the functioning of the whole body is adversely affected, similarly due to the non-functioning or improperly functioning of any Christian Believer, adversely affects the work of the local Church or Assembly. For this reason, Romans 12:5 not only calls the Christian Believers as members of the body of the Lord, but also members of each other, who are required not only for the functioning of the Church, but also of each other, since a wrong atmosphere in any Church will hamper the proper functioning and attitude of its members, therefore the members should be helpers and of service for each other.

If you are a Christian Believer, then for you to carry out your ministry properly and worthily, according to the will of God, and to be able to use your ministry and gifts for the benefit and edification of the Church, it is necessary for you to consider yourself a similar member of God’s family, a necessary and integral part of the Assembly or the Church, just as the others are. You should neither consider yourself, your ministry, and your Spiritual gift as small or of lesser importance than any other’s; nor should you think of yourself, your ministry, and your Spiritual gift as superior and of more importance than any other. If you allow any of these feelings to settle in you, then Satan will soon make you fall in either a feeling of inferiority or in pride of superiority, entrap you in some sin or the other, obstruct your work and ministry for the Lord. Use whatever ministry and Spiritual gift God has given to you for the glory of God, the propagation of the gospel, and edification of the Church. Then you too will be blessed and benefitted, as will the others be through your ministry and gifts.

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, a child of God, entitled to a place in heaven, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start learning, understanding, and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
