परमेश्वर के वचन में फेर-बदल – 18

 

हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा है कि प्रत्येक वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी, स्वतः ही परमेश्वर की एक सन्तान भी बन जाता है (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), और वह, परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे अपने अनुग्रह में दी गई बातों का भण्डारी भी हो जाता है; और उसे इन बातों का हिसाब देना होगा। पमेश्वर ने अपनी सन्तानों को जो विभिन्न बातें दी हैं, उनमें से एक है उसका वचन (यूहन्ना 17:14; कुलुस्सियों 1:25)। परमेश्वर के वचन का भण्डारी होने के बारे में सीखते समय, हाल के लेखों में हम देखते आ रहे हैं कि परमेश्वर के वचन को भ्रष्ट करना उसकी गलत व्याख्या करना, सदियों से चलता चला आ रहा है; पुराने नियम के समयों से, और यही रीति आज भी ज़ारी है - पाठकों से निवेदन है कि इस बात के विवरण को कृपया पिछले तीन लेखों से देख लें। हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर के वचन को भ्रष्ट करने और बिगाड़ने के दो मुख्य तरीके हैं: पहला है कि किसी विशिष्ट दृष्टिकोण या सिद्धान्त के पक्ष में करने के लिये लेख के शब्दों को ही बदल दिया जाये; और दूसरा है कि लेख के सही शब्दों को गलत रीति से प्रयोग किया जाये, उसके अर्थों और अभिप्रायों को ऐसे तोड़-मरोड़ कर प्रस्तुत किया जाये, जैसा उन शब्दों का उस लेख के मूल स्वरूप, जब उन शब्दों को पहले लिखा गया था, तब वैसा कोई अर्थ, अभिप्राय, या प्रयोग नहीं था।

 

इस प्रकार से अर्थों और अभिप्रायों को भ्रष्ट करने और बदल देने के सन्दर्भ में, पिछले लेख से हम कुछ ऐसे शब्दों और वाक्यांशों पर विचार कर रहे हैं जिन्हें कुछ मसीही विश्वासी, अपनी प्रार्थनाएँ और आराधना अर्पित करने के लिये परमेश्वर के पास आने के समय प्रयोग करते हैं। ऐसे शब्दों और वाक्यांशों के कुछ उदाहरण हैं, ‘शैतान को बाँधना,’ ‘यीशु के लहू को लगाना,’ ‘स्वयं को या वस्तुओं और बातों को यीशु के लहू में ढाँपना,’ ‘प्रार्थना या आराधना अर्पित करने के लिये यीशु के लहू के द्वारा परमेश्वर के पास आना,’ और ‘यीशु के क्रूस को लगाना,’ आदि। हमने पिछले लेख में रोमियों 5:12; इफिसियों 2:18; 3:12 से देखा था कि परमेश्वर की प्रत्येक संतान को, स्वयं परमेश्वर ने खुला, बिना किसी शर्त के, बिना किसी रुकावट के, कभी भी, किसी भी बात के लिये, उसके पास स्वतन्त्रता से आने का अधिकार दिया है। साथ ही विचार कीजिये, क्या हम अपने माता-पिता से या परिवार के अन्य किसी बड़े से कोई बात करने लिये उस के पास जाने पर, पहले क्या उसके साथ अपने सम्बन्ध और सम्बन्ध के आधार को व्यक्त करते हैं, अपने आने को वैध ठहराते हैं, और फिर अपनी बात कहते हैं? और यदि हम बारम्बार, हर बार, जब भी किसी भी बात के लिये उनके पास ऐसा करते हुए आएँ, तो क्या प्रतिक्रिया मिलेगी? अब इसके बारे में ज़रा सोचिये, जो परमेश्वर सितारों की सँख्या को जानता है और उन सितारों को भी नाम लेकर बुलाता है (भजन 147:4); जो इतना असीम प्रेमी पिता है, क्या वह अपने बच्चों को जानता, पहचानता, याद नहीं रखता होगा? इसलिये हमें क्या आवश्यकता है कि परमेश्वर के पास आने पर हम पहले अपनी पहचान बताएँ, उसके पास आने को वैध ठहराएँ, या उसे एक आधार दें, और उसके बाद उससे वार्तालाप करें, अपनी प्रार्थना या आराधना उसे अर्पित करें?

मूलतः, इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का प्रयोग करने की दो ही सम्भावनाएँ हैं - या तो वे व्यर्थ हैं, न तो परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य हैं, और न ही परमेश्वर की सन्तान के लिये किसी भी तरह से लाभदायक हैं। या फिर, वे सही हैं, प्रभावी हैं, उन्हें प्रयोग करना परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य है और मसीही विश्वासी के लिये लाभकारी है। अब, यदि ये शब्द और वाक्यांश व्यर्थ हैं, उनसे कोई लाभ नहीं होता है, जैसा कि इस तथ्य से प्रकट है कि ऐसे बहुतेरे मसीही हैं जो इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों को प्रयोग नहीं करते हैं, परन्तु फिर भी उनकी प्रार्थनाएँ और आराधनाएँ परमेश्वर द्वारा सुनी और स्वीकार की जाती हैं, उन्हें उत्तर मिलते हैं। तो फिर इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों को प्रयोग करने की क्या आवश्यकता है, क्या इसका कोई उचित कारण या आधार है? बात केवल व्यर्थ होने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि इससे भी बहुत अधिक गहरी और गंभीर है। ऐसा करना व्यक्ति को परमेश्वर के वचन में जोड़ने और फेर-बदल करने का दोषी बनाता है, जिसके बहुत गम्भीर दुष्परिणाम हैं (व्यवस्थाविवरण 4:2; नीतिवचन 30:6; प्रकाशिवाक्य 22:18-19), जो उनके पृथ्वी के जीवन और स्वर्गीय प्रतिफलों के लिये बहुत हानिकारक हैं। इससे भी बुरी बात है उन लोगों का नये और अपरिपक्व विश्वासियों को भी इन बातों में डालकर, उन्हें भी वचन में जोड़ने और फेर-बदल करने का दोषी बना देना, उन्हें भी इसके उपरोक्त दुष्परिणामों के लिये उत्तरदायी कर देना। परमेश्वर के नाम में इन गलत शिक्षाओं को देने वालों को प्रभु यीशु द्वारा मत्ती 18:6 तथा मरकुस 9:42 की कठोर चेतावनी पर विचार करना चाहिये। इसलिये, इस व्यर्थ रीति के निर्वाह की जवाबदेही और दुष्परिणाम इन लोगों के लिये बहुत हानिकारक होने वाले हैं।

परन्तु कैसा हो यदि इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का इस प्रकार से प्रयोग वास्तव में उपयोगी, प्रभावी, और विश्वासी के लिये लाभकारी हो; और परमेश्वर भी उनके इस प्रकार प्रयोग किए जाने को स्वीकार करता हो? तब, इसका परमेश्वर के चरित्र और गुणों पर क्या अर्थ और अभिप्राय होगा?

इस बात पर विचार कीजिए; क्या इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों को कहते रहना, परमेश्वर को अपने बच्चों के प्रति अस्थिर, पक्षपाती, और अविश्वसनीय नहीं ठहराता है? क्योंकि इससे यह संकेत नहीं मिलता है कि परमेश्वर, केवल इस आधार पर कि वे किन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का प्रयोग करते हैं, दूसरों की अपेक्षा, कुछ लोगों के पक्ष में अधिक होता है? इससे परमेश्वर पक्षपाती और अन्यायी दिखाई देता है, क्योंकि उसने प्रार्थनाओं को प्रभावशाली बनाने का यह निजी प्रकाशन केवल कुछ लोगों को दिया है, जबकि अन्य बहुतों से इसे छिपा रखा है। उसके लिये, गिनती 23:19 और इब्रानियों 6:17-18 में दिये गये दावे के बावजूद, यह परमेश्वर को झूठा ठहराता है, क्योंकि वह स्वयं ही अपने वचन में बातों को जोड़ रहा है, जबकि उसने आश्वासन दिया है कि उसका वचन अपरिवर्तनीय है और सदा काल के लिये स्वर्ग में स्थापित है (भजन 119:89)। इसलिये, परमेश्वर पर भरोसा नहीं किया जा सकता है; वह निष्पक्ष और न्यायी परमेश्वर नहीं है। क्योंकि उसके विचार एक से दूसरे व्यक्ति के प्रति, विशेषकर इस बात के आधार पर कि वे किन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का प्रयोग करते हैं या नहीं करते हैं, बदल सकते हैं। यह इस बात को भी दिखाता है कि मनुष्य कुछ शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का एक मंत्र या जप के समान उपयोग करके परमेश्वर को प्रभावित और नियन्त्रित कर सकता है। इसलिए, परमेश्वर वास्तव में "मैं जो हूँ सो हूँ" (निर्गमन 3:14) नहीं ठहरता है, जैसा वह स्वयं के लिये दावा करता है; और न ही वह मलाकी 3:6 तथा इब्रानियों 13:8 का कभी न बदलने वाला परमेश्वर है। उसने यह कहकर असत्य कहा है कि केवल वही, जो वह कहता है, स्थिर रहेगा (नीतिवचन 19:21; यशायाह 14:24; 40:8; 45:23; 46:10; 55:11), जबकि व्यवहार में मनुष्य जो कहता है वह परमेश्वर के निर्णय को परिवर्तित या बदल सकता है। तो फिर ऐसे परमेश्वर पर कैसे भरोसा किया जा सकता है?

कुछ लोग यह कहते हैं कि इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का उपयोग परमेश्वर को प्रभावित करने, उसे पक्षपाती बनाने, या अपने पक्ष में कार्य करने के लिए बाध्य करने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि श्रद्धा और भक्ति के साथ, केवल उसका आदर करने के लिए किया जाता है। इसपर और इससे आगे की कुछ अन्य बातों पर हम अगले लेख में विचार और विश्लेषण करेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Altering God’s Word - 18

 

We have seen in the earlier articles that every truly Born-Again Christian Believer is automatically a child of God (John 1:12-13), and is also God’s steward of the things graciously given to him by God; and will have to give an account of it. Amongst the various things God has given to His children, one is His Word (John 17:14; Colossians 1:25). While studying about the stewardship of God’s Word, of late we have been seeing that corruption and misinterpretation of God’s Word has been going on for centuries; even in the Old Testament times, and, this trend has continued to date - the readers are requested to please read the previous three articles to see the details about this. We saw that there are two main ways of corrupting and distorting God’s Word: one is to alter its text to suit a particular point of view or doctrine; and the second is to use the correct text in an incorrect manner, by twisting and altering the meanings and implications of that text, into something that was neither stated nor intended in the initial original form, when the text was first written.

 

In context of this corrupting and altering the meanings and implications, since the previous article we are analysing some Biblical words and phrases commonly being used by some Christian Believers to come to God to offer their prayers or worship. Words and phrases like, ‘binding Satan,’ ‘applying the blood of Jesus,’ ‘covering themselves, or covering things under the blood of Jesus,’ ‘coming to God for prayer or worship through the blood of Jesus,’ and ‘applying the Cross of Jesus,’ etc. We saw in the previous article from Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:18; 3:12 that every Child of God, has a God given free, open, and unhindered authority to have an access to God at any time, for anything. Moreover, just give it a thought, on approaching our parents or some elder of the family, for any request or conversation, do we, first speak about our relationship and the basis of that relationship with that person, justify our coming to him, and then say what we want to say? And what reaction should we expect if we do this over and over again, repetitively every time we need to come to them? Now think about it, the God who knows the number of stars and calls them by their names (Psalm 147:4); does He, being the doting Father that He is, not know or remember His children? So, why would anyone ever need to first identify himself before God, justify coming into His presence, or give it a basis, and then converse with Him, present their prayer or worship before Him?

 

Basically, there are only two possibilities regarding the use of these words and phrases - either they are vain, and their use is neither acceptable to God nor beneficial to the child of God. Or, they are worthwhile and efficacious, and their use is acceptable to God and beneficial for the Believer. Now, if these words and phrases are vain and useless, as is evidenced by the fact that very many Christians do not use them, yet even their prayers and worship is accepted and answered by God. Therefore, there is no necessity, let alone any reason or rationale, for using these words and phrases. Not only the sheer vanity, but far more seriously, doing this makes those people guilty of altering God’s Word and of facing the dire consequences of doing so (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19) coming to serious harm in their present earthly lives and to their future eternal blessings. Even worse, they are also guilty of misleading others, the new and immature Believers into this vain practice, and its aforementioned consequences. These purveyors of errors in God’ name, should ponder over this in light of Lord Jesus’s stark warning in Matthew 18:6 and Mark 9:42. Therefore, the eventual accounting and consequences of this vain practice will be very heavy indeed.

But what if the use of these words and phrases in this manner was indeed worthwhile, efficacious, and beneficial for the Believer; and God also accepts this use? What implications does this have for the character and attributes of God?

 

Think about it; doesn’t practicing these words and phrases make God appear to be fickle, partial, and unreliable towards His children? Because this implies that God favors some, over the others, based on their using or not using certain words and phrases. It shows God to be partial and unfair, since He has given this private revelation of making prayers effective through use of certain words only to some people, but has held it back from many others. Contrary to His claim of Numbers 23:19 and Hebrews 6:17-18, it shows God to be a liar, since He Himself is adding things to His Word, is altering and modifying it; whereas He has assured that His Word is unalterable and settled in heaven forever (Psalm 119:89). Therefore, God cannot be trusted; He is not a fair and just God. His considerations can vary from person to person, especially based on their using or not using certain words and phrases. It also implies that man can influence and manipulate God through using some words and phrases like a chant or an incantation. Therefore, God is actually neither the "I Am Who I Am" (Exodus 3:14) that He professes to be, nor the unchanging God of Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8. How can the God, who categorically states that only what He says will stand (Proverbs 19:21; Isaiah 14:24; 40:8; 45:23; 46:10; 55:11), be believed and relied upon, when in practice, some words and phrases used by men, can modify or change His stand?

Some people insist that their use of these words and phrases is not to influence Him, but only to honor God, they do it out of reverence towards Him. We will consider and analyse this aspect in the next article.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि परमेश्वर के वचन का भ्रष्ट करना, उसकी शिक्षाओं की गलत व्याख्या और दुरुपयोग करना, तथा परमेश्वर के लोगों को भ्रमित करने के लिए शैतानी धोखे कोई नई बात नहीं हैं। ये बातें प्रभु यीशु के समय में भी हो रही थीं, जैसा कि मत्ती अध्याय 5-7 में प्रभु यीशु के पहाड़ी उपदेश में कहे गये “तुम सुन चुके हो; परन्तु मैं तुम से कहता हूँ” कथनों से प्रकट है; और पुराने नियम के समय में भी होती थीं, जैसा मत्ती 15:7-9 में प्रभु ने फरीसियों को यशायाह की पुस्तक से कहा। ये प्रथम शताब्दी में, आरम्भिक कलीसिया में भी भरी पड़ी थीं, जैसा इस तथ्य से प्रकट है कि लगभग आधा नया नियम, अर्थात् नए नियम की सभी पत्रियाँ, उस समय पर कलीसियाओं में प्रचलित गलत शिक्षाओं, सिद्धान्तों, और प्रथाओं को सुधारने के लिये लिखी गई थीं। और तब से लेकर आज तक, यह क्रम लगातार चलता आ रहा है। हमने बाइबल से देखा था कि इस भ्रष्टाचार, गलत व्याख्या और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग के लिए मुख्य रूप से जिम्मेदार लोग हमेशा धार्मिक अगुवे, पवित्रशास्त्र के प्रचारक और शिक्षक ही रहे हैं — वही लोग जिन्हें इसकी शुद्धता और प्रमाणिकता बनाए रखने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई थी; और आज भी यह बात उतनी ही सत्य है।

ऐतिहासिक रूप से, मानवीय अहंकार, जो पवित्रशास्त्र के उत्तम या बेहतर ज्ञान और समझ रखने के रूप में प्रकट होता है, हमेशा वह मुख्य माध्यम रहा है जिसके द्वारा ये मनुष्य-निर्मित वचन में लाये गये परिवर्तन उत्पन्न हुए, फैलाए गए, और स्थापित हो गए। परमेश्वर के वचन को इस प्रकार से भ्रष्ट करने के दो मुख्य रूप हैं: पहला, परमेश्वर के वचन के लेख को इस प्रकार बदलना कि वह किसी विशेष सिद्धांत या पवित्रशास्त्र की किसी विशेष समझ के अनुरूप हो जाए। इसे बाद की प्रतियों और अनुवादों के लेखों की तुलना, प्राचीन लेखों की प्रतियों के साथ करके, उनमें जो बदली हुई बातें जोड़ी गई हैं उन्हें आसानी से पहचाना और समझा जा सकता है। दूसरा तरीका, जो कहीं अधिक सूक्ष्म और पहचानने में कठिन है, वह मूल लेख के शब्दों को यथावत रखते हुए, उन शब्दों के अर्थ और उनके प्रयोग को ऐसे बदल देना है कि वह एक ऐसी बात को व्यक्त करने लगे जो लेख के मूल स्वरूप एवं प्रयोग में कभी कहीं पर न तो कही गई, और न ही कभी उसका वैसा कोई अभिप्राय दिया गया। वर्तमान में हम परमेश्वर के वचन को भ्रष्ट करने की इसी दूसरी विधि का अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा कि किस प्रकार बाइबल के कुछ शब्दों और वाक्यांशों, जैसे कि, ‘शैतान को बाँधना,’ ‘यीशु के लहू को अपने ऊपर लगाना या लेना, या उसके द्वारा से’ और ‘यीशु के क्रूस को लागू करना’ आदि, का बेधड़क दुरुपयोग करके उन्हें बाइबल से बाहर के अर्थ और अभिप्रायों के साथ जप या मन्त्र के समान प्रयोग किया और फैलाया जा रहा है। आज हम इसी विश्लेषण को आगे बढ़ाएंगे।

पिछले लेख में हमने रोमियों 5:1-2; इफिसियों 2:18; 3:12 के आधार पर देखा था कि प्रत्येक नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी, अर्थात परमेश्वर की संतान को, किसी भी समय, और किसी भी बात के लिए, बिना किसी रोक-टोक या बाधा के, परमेश्वर के पास आने का, परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया खुला मार्ग और अधिकार है। प्रभु यीशु ने भी अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के समय में, अपनी आदर्श प्रार्थना में, जिसे सामान्यतः "प्रभु की प्रार्थना" (मत्ती 6:9-13; लूका 11:2-4) के नाम से जाना जाता है, अपने चेलों को बहुत स्पष्ट और बिना किसी दुविधा की बात के यह सिखाया है कि वे परमेश्वर को सीधे "हे हमारे पिता" कहकर संबोधित करें — अर्थात, बिना किसी पूर्व-कथन या भूमिका बांधने के वाक्यांशों का प्रयोग किये। सम्पूर्ण बाइबल में, अर्थात् दोनों, पुराने और नये नियमों में, परमेश्वर के प्रत्येक जन ने, अपनी प्रत्येक बात के लिये, हमेशा ही परमेश्वर को सीधे और बिना पहले कोई भूमिका बाँधे ही सम्बोधित किया है। फिर भी ये लोग मत्ती 6:7-8 और सभोपदेशक 5:1-2 की शिक्षाओं की अनदेखी करते हुए, के विपरीत, व्यर्थ ही बाइबल से बाहर की या असंगत बातों को तोते की तरह बारम्बार दोहराते रहते हैं?

व्यक्ति को गंभीरता से इस बात पर विचार करना चाहिए कि यदि उन बातों को बोलने वाले लोगों की प्रार्थनाएँ और आराधना, और उन लोगों की भी, जो इन शब्दों का प्रयोग नहीं करते, परमेश्वर के लिए समान रूप से स्वीकार्य और समान रूप से प्रभावशाली रहती हैं — चाहे इन शब्दों का प्रयोग किया जाए या नहीं — तो फिर बाइबल से असंगत इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों के प्रयोग से, किसी लाभ की बात तो दूर रही, परमेश्वर के वचन में जोड़ने या वचन को बिगाड़ने का क्या उपयोग है? क्या इन लोगों को इस बात का एहसास है कि इस व्यर्थ और बाइबल से बाहर की प्रथा का पालन और प्रचार करके वे व्यवस्थाविवरण 4:2; नीतिवचन 30:6; प्रकाशितवाक्य 22:18-19 की आज्ञा का उल्लंघन करने का दण्ड अपने ऊपर आमन्त्रित कर रहे हैं? और भोले-भाले विश्वासियों को अपना अनुकरण करने के लिए प्रेरित करके, वे वचन की बातों से अनजान उन विश्वासियों की आशीषों और प्रतिफलों को हानि पहुँचाने का कारण और यह करने के लिये परमेश्वर को उत्तरदायी भी बन रहे हैं। इस प्रकार, इस भ्रष्टाचार का अभ्यास करने वाले लोग स्वयं को परमेश्वर की सन्तानों को हानि पहुँचाने के लिए उत्तरदायी बना रहे हैं।

और यह सब तब, जबकि वे इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों के प्रयोग पर अपने हठ के लिए कोई स्वीकार्य तर्क या बाइबल से कोई उचित कारण देने में असमर्थ हैं; और इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों को बार-बार, बिना बाइबल से किसी आधार के, हर बात के लिये कहते रहने की आवश्यकता के लिए उनके पास कोई स्पष्टीकरण नहीं है। बाइबल से असंगत दृष्टिकोण के पालन करने वाले और उसका प्रचार करने वाले ये लोग क्या कभी ठहरकर यह सोचते हैं कि उनका यह कार्य वास्तव में कितना शैतानी और दुष्ट है? क्या उन्होंने कभी जो वो मानते, सिखाते, और पालन करवाते हैं, उन बातों के अर्थों और अभिप्रायों पर विचार किया है? क्या उन्होंने कभी यह सोचा और इसपर गम्भीरता से विचार किया है कि उनका इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का इस प्रकार से प्रयोग, उनका यह व्यवहार, परमेश्वर के चरित्र और गुणों को कैसा बुरा और अपमानजनक प्रकट करता है?

अगले लेख में हम इसी बात पर विश्लेषण और विचार करेंगे।

Altering God’s Word - 17

 

We have seen in the previous article that corruption of God’s Word, misinterpretation and misuse of its teachings, and satanic deceptions to mislead the people of God are nothing new. They had been happening in the Lord Jesus’s time on earth, as is evident from His “you have heard; but I tell you” statements in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5-7); and even in the Old Testament times, as Lord Jesus said to the Pharisees in Matthew 15:7-9, quoting from the book of Isaiah. It was rampant in the first century AD, even in the very first Church, as evidenced by the fact that, nearly half of the New Testament, i.e. all the letters in the New Testament, were written to correct false teachings, doctrines and practices that had come into the churches. And since then till date, it has continued happening everywhere. We saw from the Bible that the people primarily responsible for letting this corruption, misinterpretation, and misuse of God’s Word have always been the religious leaders, Scripture preachers and teachers - the very people who were entrusted to maintain its purity and authenticity; and the same holds equally true even today.

 

Historically, human ego, in the form of possessing some superior or better knowledge and understanding of Scriptures have always been the main vehicle through which these man-made alterations came about, were propagated, and took root. There are two main forms of this corruption of God’s Word: First, altering the text of God’s Word to make it conform to a particular doctrine or understanding of Scriptures. This can be readily discerned by comparing the ancient texts with later copies and translations, and identifying the aberrations introduced. The second method, one that is far more subtle and difficult to identify and discern is through retaining the actual text, but altering its meaning and application to something that was never stated or intended in the actual text in its initial usage. Presently we have been studying this second method of corrupting God’s Word. In the last article saw how some Biblical words and phrases, e.g., ‘binding Satan,’ ‘applying or taking upon themselves or through the blood of Jesus,’ and ‘applying the Cross of Jesus,’ etc. are being misused and being propagated with impunity and with unBiblical meanings and applications, like chants and incantations. Today, we will continue with this same analysis.

In the previous article we had seen from Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:18; 3:12 that every Born-Again Christian Believers, i.e., every Child of God, has a God given free, open, and unhindered authority to have an access to God at any time, for anything. Even the Lord Jesus during His earthly ministry, in His model prayer, popularly known as the "Lord's Prayer" (Matthew 6:9-13; Luke 11:2-4), has very clearly and unambiguously taught His disciples to address God directly as "Our Father in heaven" - i.e., without the use of any preceding or introductory expressions. In the whole of the Bible, i.e., in both the Old as well as the New Testaments, every godly person has always addressed God for everything in a straightforward manner, without any preceding introductory expressions. Even then these people parrot unBiblical things vainly, and contrary to the teachings of Matthew 6:7-8 and Ecclesiastes 5:1-2?

 

One needs to seriously ponder that if the prayers and worship of those who use these terms, and of those people who do not use the terms, remain equally acceptable to God and equally efficacious, whether or not these terms are used, then what is the use, let alone any advantage, of adding to or distorting God’s Word, through the unBiblical use of these words and phrases? Do those people realize that by practicing and propagating this vain and unBiblical practice, they are incurring the penalty of transgressing the instruction of Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19. Then by making the gullible Believers to emulate them, they are also causing those unsuspecting Believers, those having a poor knowledge of God’s Word, to suffer loss of their blessings and rewards. Thereby, the practitioners of this corruption are rendering themselves accountable to God for harming God's children?

 

This, despite their being unable to give any rationale or proper Biblical reason for their insistence of using them. They have no explanation for the necessity of repetitively saying these words and phrases in a Biblically unsubstantiated manner, over and over again for everything. Have the practitioners and purveyors of this unBiblical approach to God stopped to think how devious and evil their doing this actually is? Have they ever thought about and pondered over the implications of what they preach, teach, and practice? Have they ever thought about and seriously pondered that their use of these words and phrases in this manner, this behavior of theirs, how adversely and insultingly it reflects on the characteristics and attributes of God?

We will analyze and ponder over it further in the next article.

Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पुनःअवलोकन: पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि शैतान किस प्रकार से धार्मिक अगुवों, परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रचारकों और शिक्षकों ही का उपयोग, पवित्रशास्त्र के लेखों में, और/या उसके वास्तविक अर्थ में छेड़छाड़ और परिवर्तन करने के लिये करता है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी पृथ्वी पर की सेवा के दौरान इसे अपने पहाड़ी उपदेश (मत्ती अध्याय 5 से 7) में “तुमने सुना है; परन्तु मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ” जैसे कथनों के द्वारा; साथ ही मत्ती 15:1-15 में शास्त्रियों और फरीसियों को दी गई अपनी फटकार में भी प्रकट किया था। मत्ती 15 के इस भाग में प्रभु का मुख्य आरोप — मत्ती 15:7-9, यशायाह से लिया गया एक उद्धरण है। इसका तात्पर्य स्पष्ट है — परमेश्वर के वचन का भ्रष्ट होना, गलत अर्थ निकालना, और दुरुपयोग बहुत समय से होता आ रहा है, यहाँ तक कि प्रभु की पृथ्वी पर की सेवा से भी पहले से। इसके बाद हमने देखा कि जैसे-जैसे सुसमाचार और मसीहियत का प्रचार और प्रसार हुआ, वैसे-वैसे शैतान द्वारा लाई गई गलत शिक्षाएँ और सिद्धांत भी साथ ही फैलते गए, ताकि मसीही शिक्षाओं को भ्रष्ट और बिगाड़ा जा सके, और लोगों को धोखा देकर गलत, विधर्मी मार्गों पर डाला जा सके।

 

हमने यह भी देखा था कि बाइबल के उदाहरण स्पष्ट रूप से, सामान्यतः एहसास एवं अंगीकार नहीं किए जाने वाले, इस तथ्य को दर्शाते हैं कि मसीही धार्मिक अगुओं ने, चाहे जानबूझकर या अनजाने में, हमेशा इन शैतानी शिक्षाओं और सिद्धांतों को परमेश्वर की कलीसियाओं में प्रवेश करने और जड़ पकड़ने देने में एक बड़ी भूमिका निभाई है, और वहीं से वे बातें अन्य लोगों और सभाओं में फैल गई। जबकि शैतान धोखा खाए हुए धार्मिक अगुवों और लोगों को इस भ्रम में बनाए रखता है कि वे सही और धर्म के मार्ग पर ही हैं। इसका एक प्रमाण बाइबिल का यह बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य है, जिसका बहुधा एहसास ही नहीं किया जाता है, कि नए नियम का लगभग आधा भाग, अर्थात प्रेरितों के काम और प्रकाशितवाक्य के बीच की सारी पत्रियाँ, मसीही विश्वासियों की कलीसियाओं और उनके अगुवों को लिखी गई थीं, ताकि पहली शताब्दी में ही मसीही विश्वास में घुस आई विभिन्न गलतियों को समझाया और सुधारा जा सके। यहाँ तक कि प्रकाशितवाक्य की पुस्तक के अध्याय 2 और 3 में भी, 7 में से 5 कलीसियाओं और उनके अगुवों को उनकी गलत मान्यताओं और प्रथाओं के कारण कड़ी फटकार, और भयंकर परिणामों की चेतावनी दी गई है।

हमने यह भी देखा था कि इन गलत, अनुचित, और पवित्रशास्त्र से असंगत शिक्षाओं के इतने आसानी से स्वीकार किए जाने, और अगुवों तथा कलीसिया की सभाओं द्वारा फैलाए जाने के दो मुख्य कारण हैं। पहला कारण, जैसा की हम पहले देख चुके हैं, यह अत्यंत दुःखद तथ्य है कि अधिकांश मसीही अपने जीवन में परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के परिश्रमपूर्वक अध्ययन के लिए कभी भी उचित समय नहीं देते हैं। इसके बजाय उनकी पहली प्राथमिकता, मत्ती 6:31-34; 1 यूहन्ना 2:15-17; और याकूब 4:4 के विरुद्ध, नाशवान संसार, उसकी अस्थायी वस्तुएँ, और उसके नश्वर भौतिक लाभ अर्जित करते रहना ही होती है। इसलिए, शैतान लोगों को आसानी से किसी भी ऐसी बात पर विश्वास करने के लिए भटका सकता है, जो मंच से आकर्षक और देखने में तर्कसंगत तरीके से कही जाती है। विशेषकर तब, जब यह किसी लोकप्रिय और प्रतिष्ठित प्रचारक या बाइबल शिक्षक द्वारा कही जाए। हमने देखा है कि लोगों को भ्रमित करने के लिए शैतान की एक बहुत प्रभावी रणनीति यह है कि वह बाइबल के सही लेखों का गलत अर्थों के साथ उपयोग करता है; अर्थात ऐसे अर्थों के साथ से जो उन लेखों के बारे में बाइबिल में पाए ही नहीं जाते हैं। इस धोखे के विरुद्ध परमेश्वर के वचन में जो सुरक्षा उपाय दिया गया है, वह है कि किसी की भी कही हुई, कोई भी बात को, स्वीकार करने से पहले, हर बात को सीधे परमेश्वर के वचन से जाँच लेना चाहिए (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। परन्तु यह बात विश्वासियों द्वारा शायद ही कभी व्यवहार में लाई जाती है। इसके विपरीत, अधिकांश मसीही विश्वासी अपने पसंदीदा अगुवे, प्रचारक, या शिक्षक की हर बात पर, चाहे वह सही हो या गलत, अंधविश्वास कर लेते हैं, फिर अपने उस अंध विश्वास को बनाए रखते हैं, और फिर उसे अंधाधुंध दूसरों में भी फैलाते रहते हैं।

शैतान इस रणनीति को नए नियम में से बाइबल के कुछ सामान्य शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का दुरुपयोग करवाने के द्वारा लागू करता है। नए जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासी, अर्थात परमेश्वर की संतानों को, किसी भी समय, और किसी भी बात के लिए परमेश्वर के पास, बिना किसी बाधा के आने का, परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया खुला मार्ग और अधिकार है (रोमियों 5:1-2; इफिसियों 2:18; 3:12)। शैतान ने कुछ विश्वासियों को बहका दिया है कि प्रार्थना में माँगने या आराधना चढ़ाने के लिए परमेश्वर के पास आना, कुछ विशेष शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का नियमित उपयोग करने के द्वारा ही किया जाना चाहिए। इसलिए वे बहुत बार बाइबिल के कुछ शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का बार-बार दोहराते और प्रयोग करते रहते हैं, और यह भी उन तरीकों और अर्थों के साथ से जो बाइबिल में उनके बारे में न तो बताए गए हैं और न ही दिये गये हैं। अपनी समस्याओं का समाधान करने के लिए, कुछ अक्सर प्रयोग किये जाने वाले शब्द और वाक्यांश हैं, ‘शैतान को बाँधना,’ ‘यीशु के लहू को अपने ऊपर लगाना या लेना, या उसके द्वारा’ और ‘यीशु के क्रूस को लागू करना’ आदि।

ये लोग मानते हैं कि इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का जप या मंत्र की तरह उपयोग करने से उनकी प्रार्थनाएँ अधिक प्रभावी हो जाएँगी, वे परमेश्वर से माँगी हुई बातें आसानी से प्राप्त कर लेंगे, उनकी इच्छाएँ पूरी होंगी, और उनकी समस्याएँ हल हो जाएँगी, आदि। यह मानो ऐसा है कि कुछ विशेष शब्दों और वाक्यांशों के उपयोग के द्वारा वे परमेश्वर को एक निश्चित तरीके से कार्य करने के लिए निर्देशित और बाध्य कर सकते हैं, उससे कुछ विशेष कार्य करवा सकते हैं, और उसे दूसरों की अपेक्षा अपने पक्ष में अधिक कर सकते हैं। उनके लिए इस बात का बहुत कम, या बिल्कुल भी महत्व नहीं है कि पूरी बाइबिल में किसी ने भी, कहीं भी, किसी भी बात या समस्या के लिए, बाइबिल के इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का इस प्रकार कभी उपयोग नहीं किया है। इस धोखे को फैलाने वालों के लिए यह समझाना बहुत कठिन होता है कि इन अभूतपूर्व और बाइबल-विरुद्ध तरीकों से कुछ शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का उपयोग कैसे परमेश्वर को उनके पक्ष में कार्य करने के लिए बाध्य या प्रभावित कर सकता है, या उनकी प्रार्थनाओं का उत्तर दूसरों की प्रार्थनाओं की तुलना में अधिक शीघ्र और सकारात्मक रूप से दिला सकता है। उनके पास इस बात का कोई तर्कसंगत उत्तर या स्पष्टीकरण नहीं है कि बाइबिल में इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का इस प्रकार किसी ने भी, किसी भी उद्देश्य के लिए, कभी उपयोग क्यों नहीं किया। फिर भी, वे हठपूर्वक और बार-बार इनका उपयोग करते रहते हैं, मानो कोई जप या मंत्र हो।

Altering God’s Word - 16

 

Review: In the previous article we had seen how Satan uses the religious leaders, the preachers and teachers of God's Word to tamper with and alter the Scriptures - its text and/or its actual meaning. Lord Jesus during His earthly ministry had pointed this out in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5 to 7) through His "you have heard; but I tell you" statements; as well as in His admonition to the Scribes and Pharisees in Matthew 15:1-15. In this section, the Lord’s main accusation - Matthew 15:7-9, is a quote from Isaiah; the implication is quite obvious - corruption, misinterpretation, and misuse of God’s Word has been going on since long, even before the Lord’s earthly ministry. We saw next that, as the gospel and Christianity spread, so did the wrong teachings and doctrines brought in by Satan to corrupt and distort the Christian teachings spread, to deceive and misguide people into wrong, ungodly ways.

 

We also saw that Biblical examples clearly illustrate the generally unrealized and unacknowledged fact, that the Christian religious leaders, knowingly or unknowingly, have always played a major role in letting these satanic teachings and doctrines enter and take hold in God’s Churches, and from there spread to other people and congregations. While Satan makes the deceived religious leaders and the people believe that they are on the right and godly path. An evidence of this is the very often unrealized Biblical fact that nearly half of the New Testament, i.e., all the letters between the books of Acts and Revelation, have been written to Churches and congregations of Christian Believers and their Church leaders to explain and correct the various errors that had crept into Christianity in the first century itself. Even in chapters 2 and 3 of the book of Revelation, 5 out of 7 Churches and their leaders have been strongly reprimanded and warned of dire consequences against their wrong beliefs and practices.

We also saw that there are two main reasons why these wrong, inappropriate, and Scripturally inconsistent teachings are so readily accepted and propagated by leaders and the congregations. The first reason, as has been pointed out earlier, is the very sad fact that, contrary to Matthew 6:31-34; 1 John 2:15-17; and James 4:4, most Christians never give God and the diligent study of His Word any quality time in their lives. Instead their first priority remains the perishing world, its temporal things, and its perishable material gains. Therefore, Satan can easily mislead people into believing anything said from the Pulpit in an attractive and seemingly logical way; more so, if this is done by a popular and reputed Preacher or Bible teacher. We have seen that one of Satan’s very effective strategies to misguide people, is to use the correct Biblical text, in incorrect ways, i.e., in ways not seen in the Bible about them. The safety mechanism given in God's Word against this deception is to first cross check everything directly from God's Word, before accepting anything said by anyone (Acts 17:11; 1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). But this is hardly, if ever, actually put into practice by the Believers. Rather, most Christian Believers develop and maintain a blind-faith in whatever their favorite elder, preacher, or teacher says, whether right or wrong, and then they blindly propagate it to others also.

Satan implements this strategy through misusing some common New Testament Biblical terms and phrases. The Born-Again Believers, i.e., the Children of God, have a God given free, open, and unhindered authority to access to God at any time, for anything (Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:18; 3:12). Satan has beguiled some Believers into believing that coming to God for asking in prayer or for offering worship, should preferably be through using some specific words and terms, routinely. Therefore, they very frequently keep repetitively using Biblical terms and phrases, in ways not stated or intended about them in the Bible. Some often used words and phrases for solving their problematic issues are, ‘binding Satan,’ ‘applying or taking upon themselves or through the blood of Jesus,’ and ‘applying the Cross of Jesus,’ etc. 

These people believe that by using these words and phrases like a chant or incantation, their prayers will become more effective, they will readily get what they ask from God, their desires will be fulfilled and their problems will readily be solved, etc. It is as if, through the use of certain words and phrases, they can direct and compel God to act in a certain manner, get Him to do certain things, they can bias God in their favor over and above others. It matters little, if at all, to them that throughout the Bible no one, anywhere, for anything or any problem, has never ever used these Biblical words and phrases in this manner. The purveyors of this deception are hard put to explain, how this unheard-of and unBiblical use of certain words and phrases compels or biases God to act in their favor or answer their prayers more readily and positively, than the other prayers. They have no rational explanation or answer for why these words and phrases have never been used in the Bible by anyone, for anything, in the manner they are using them, and doing it repetitively. And yet, they obstinately, repetitively use them all the time, like a chant or an incantation.

In the next article we will continue analyzing this unBiblical practice through some more Bible verses. We will also see how this practice hits at the very character and attributes of God, casts aspersions on Him and denigrates Him; thereby exposing the devious satanic origin of this practice done in the garb of expressing love and honor for God reverentially. 

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
