परमेश्वर के वचन में फेर-बदल – 13

 

पिछले कुछ लेखों में, यह दिखाने के लिए कि शैतान किस प्रकार से बाइबल के लेखों को बाइबल के विपरीत तरीके से उपयोग करता है, हम ईसाइयों या मसीहियों में पाई जाने वाली एक बहुत आम धारणा के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं, कि उद्धार खोया जा सकता है, और उसे भले बनो, भला करो, अर्थात्, कर्मों के द्वारा बना कर रखना होता है; किन्तु बाइबल के अनुसार यह धारणा बिलकुल गलत है। यह समझने के लिए कि बाइबल के अनुसार यह धारणा गलत क्यों है, हमने पिछले लेखों में बाइबल में से देखा था कि उद्धार या नया-जन्म पाने का क्या अर्थ है, यह पारिवारिक अथवा वंशागत नहीं है, और इसमें किसी भी मनुष्य का कोई भी कार्य या प्रयास कारगर नहीं है, और न ही ये बातें व्यक्ति के उद्धार में कोई योगदान देती हैं। यह पूर्णतः और केवल व्यक्ति के लिए परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से है जो उस पर व्यक्तिगत रीति से किया जाता है। इसके बाद हमने उद्धार खोए जा सकने के अर्थ और तात्पर्यों को देखा था, और यह भी कि इस धारणा को स्वीकार करना परमेश्वर के बुनियादी गुणों पर हमला करना है, परमेश्वर के परमेश्वर होने पर हमला करना है; और इसलिए पूर्णतः असंगत और अस्वीकार्य है। आज हम निष्कर्षों के साथ इस बात का समापन करेंगे कि शैतान किस प्रकार से बाइबल के लेख और तथ्यों का अनुचित उपयोग लोगों से यह मनवाने के लिए करता है कि उद्धार खोया जा सकता है।

शैतान द्वारा एक बुनियादी तर्क उपयोग किया जाता है कि यदि उद्धार हमेशा के लिए है, और कभी खोया नहीं जा सकता है, तब तो उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति को पाप करने का ‘लाइसेंस’ मिल गया है, क्योंकि अब वह निश्चिन्त होकर पाप कर सकता है, बिना किसी दुष्परिणाम की चिंता किए; क्योंकि उसका उद्धार तो कभी जाएगा नहीं। लेकिन जैसा हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है, परमेश्वर ने कभी भी, कहीं भी, यह नहीं कहा है कि उद्धार पाने के बाद मनुष्य अपने कार्यों के लिए कभी जवाबदेह नहीं होगा। पापों के लिए परमेश्वर की क्षमा हमेशा उपलब्ध रहती है, किन्तु साथ ही उसके पथ-भ्रष्ट बच्चों के लिए उसकी ताड़ना भी हमेशा उपलब्ध रहती है। आवश्यकता पड़ने पर वह उनकी ताड़ना, यहाँ तक की भारी ताड़ना भी करता है; मूसा (व्यवस्थाविवरण 3:23-27) और दाऊद (2 शमूएल 12:9-14) जैसे लोग भी अनाज्ञाकारिता करने के लिये उसकी ताड़ना से नहीं बचे।

दूसरा तर्क जो शैतान लेकर आता है, वह है कि उद्धार पाने के बाद, अब यह मनुष्य पर अनिवार्य हो जाता है कि अपने इस स्तर को, अच्छा बनकर अपने अच्छे कर्मों से, बना कर रखे। लेकिन बाइबल में यह बात भी कहीं नहीं लिखी गई है; यह भी शैतानी प्रभाव में आकर मनुष्यों की कोरी कल्पना मात्र है। इसके विपरीत, जैसा की हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है, प्रेरित पौलुस (रोमियों 7:15-24) और यूहन्ना (1 यूहन्ना 1:8-10) के उदाहरण बड़े स्पष्ट और बिना किसी असमंजस के साफ़ दिखाते हैं कि परमेश्वर के उद्धार पाए हुए बच्चों को भी परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह और क्षमा की निरंतर आवश्यकता बनी रहती है। शैतान का यह तर्क उसकी एक युक्ति है मनुष्य को “कर्मों द्वारा धर्मी बनने” की व्यर्थ बात में उलझाने और फंसाने के लिए जिससे वह परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के साथ समय नहीं बिता सके, उस से सीख नहीं सके, और फिर उसके लिए सुसमाचार प्रचार का या अन्य कोई कार्य नहीं कर सके, उसके लिए उपयोगी नहीं बन सके।

तीसरा, यद्यपि वे लोग जो उद्धार खोया जा सकता है के पक्ष में बोलते हैं, वे अपने दावे के समर्थन के लिए बाइबल में से कुछ पद और खण्ड तो दिखाते हैं। किन्तु यदि उन पदों और खण्डों का उनके सन्दर्भ में तथा बाइबल के अन्य भागों के साथ मिलाकर अध्ययन किया जाए तो यह प्रकट हो जाता है कि उनके तर्क बाइबल के लेखों की गलत व्याख्या और दुरुपयोग हैं। साथ ही, सम्पूर्ण बाइबल में कहीं पर भी किसी के भी द्वारा उद्धार खो देने का कोई भी उदाहरण नहीं है। क्योंकि यह इतना महत्वपूर्ण तर्क है, जो व्यक्ति के अनन्तकाल के भविष्य को ही बदल देता है, इसलिए यही अपेक्षा रखी जाती है कि परमेश्वर इसके बारे में बिलकुल स्पष्ट होगा, कुछ उदाहरणों के द्वारा उसे दिखाएगा और समझाएगा, इस बात को किसी के द्वारा बाइबल के पदों को उनके सन्दर्भ से बाहर लेकर की गई व्याख्या पर नहीं छोड़ देगा। किन्तु उद्धार के खोए जा सकने के तर्क के विपरीत, हम बाइबल में जो देखते हैं वह है कि, सम्पूर्ण बाइबल में परमेश्वर बारंबार यह दिखाता और आश्वासन देता आ रहा है कि यद्यपि वह पाप और बुराई को दंड देगा, अपने लोगों, अपने बच्चों की भी ताड़ना करेगा; और यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो बहुत कठोर होकर घोर ताड़ना भी करेगा; किन्तु कभी भी, किसी भी परिस्थिति में, उन्हें जिन्हें उस ने अपना बना लिया है, न तो छोड़ेगा और न त्यागेगा। यद्यपि परमेश्वर के लोग उसे जवाबदेह हैं, और निश्चय ही उन्हें अपने जीवनों का हिसाब उसे देना होगा, ताकि उनके अनुसार अपने प्रतिफल पाएँ (रोमियों 14:10; 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10); किन्तु वे कभी भी, किसी भी तरीके से, किसी के भी द्वारा, उससे अलग करके ले जाए नहीं जा सकते हैं (यूहन्ना 10:28-29)।

इसलिए, किसी भी रीति से देखें, उद्धार खोया जा सकता है प्रचार करने और सिखाने की यह शैतानी युक्ति न तो सत्य है और न ही बाइबल के अनुसार है; चाहे इसे सिखाने वाला कोई भी परमेश्वर का प्रतिबद्ध जन, कलीसिया का प्रमुख व्यक्ति या अगुवा, बाइबल के प्रचारकों तथा शिक्षकों आदि में से कोई क्यों न हो। यह इस बात को दिखाता है कि शैतान अपनी दुष्ट चालों को सफल बनाने के लिए परमेश्वर के धर्मी लोगों का भी अधर्मी रीति से, बाइबल के लेखों और तथ्यों का बाइबल के विपरीत रीति से उपयोग कर सकता है और करता भी है, चाहे उसे परमेश्वर के प्रतिबद्ध लोगों, कलीसिया के प्रमुख लोगों तथा अगुवों, बाइबल के प्रचारकों तथा शिक्षकों आदि के द्वारा ही अपना दुष्ट काम क्यों न करवाना पड़े। अगले लेख में हम पवित्र शास्त्र के लेखों में जोड़ने या घटाने के उदाहरणों से बाइबल के लेखों में फेर-बदल के बारे में देखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Altering God’s Word - 13

 

In the last few articles, to illustrate how Satan induces people to use a Biblical text in an unBiblical way, we have been considering about a very commonly seen and accepted notion amongst Christians, that salvation can be lost and it has to be maintained by being good and doing good, i.e., by works; but Biblically it is an absolutely incorrect concept. To understand why Biblically this concept is wrong, in the preceding articles we have seen from God’s Word the Bible what it means to be saved or Born-Again; that it is not familial, and how no human work or effort of any kind neither is ever involved, nor contributes in any manner to a person’s salvation. It is purely and totally the work of God’s grace towards the person, as an individual. We then saw the meanings and implications of accepting the notion that salvation can be lost, and how accepting this idea, hits at the very basic characteristics of God, at God being God; and is therefore absolutely untenable. Today we will conclude on how Satan misuses Biblical facts and texts inappropriately to convince people into believing that accepting the argument of salvation can be lost is logical and acceptable.

The basic argument misused by Satan is that if salvation is eternal, and can never be lost, then the saved person has now got a ‘licence to sin’, since he can sin with impunity, with no fear of any consequences; since his salvation will never be lost. But as we have seen in the previous article, God has nowhere ever said that after salvation man will never be accountable for his deeds. God’s forgiveness for sins is always available, but so is His chastisement for His wayward children. Whenever necessary He chastens His children, if required quite severely; even people like Moses (Deuteronomy 3:23-27) and David (2 Samuel 12:9-14) were not spared retribution for disobedience.

The second argument that Satan brings is that once being saved, it is now binding upon man that he should maintain this status by being good and doing good. But the Bible does not say this anywhere, it is a figment of man’s imagination under satanic influences. On the contrary, as we have seen in the previous article, the examples of the Apostles, Paul (Romans 7:15-24) and John (1 John 1:8-10), show very clearly and unambiguously that even the saved children of God continually need God’s grace and forgiveness for their sins. This is just another of Satan’s ploys to drive man into getting entangled in the vanity of “righteousness by works”, instead of spending time with God, His Word, learning from Him, and then working for Him to spread the gospel or in some other manner, and being fruitful for Him.

Thirdly, although those who argue in favor of salvation can be lost, do show some Biblical verses to substantiate their claims. But if these verses are studied in their context and along with other relevant Bible passages, it becomes clear that their argument is a misinterpretation and misuse of Biblical text. Moreover, there is no example in the whole of the Bible of any one ever losing their salvation. Since this is such a crucial argument, that entirely changes one’s eternal future, it is only to be expected that God would be very clear about this, see to it that there is no ambiguity about it, and illustrate it through some examples, instead of leaving it on someone’s interpretation of some Biblical verses taken out of context. But, on the contrary what we see is that God keeps assuring and illustrating throughout the Bible, that though He will punish sin and iniquity, chastise even in His people, His children; and if required do this with considerable severity; but He will never, under any circumstance, neither leave nor forsake those whom He has accepted as His own. Though God’s people are accountable to Him and will surely have to give an account of their lives to Him, and receive their rewards accordingly (Romans 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:10); but they can never, by any means, ever be taken away from Him by anyone (John 10:28-29).

Hence, whichever way we look at it, this satanic ploy of preaching and teaching that salvation can be lost is just not true, not Biblical; no matter which God’s committed Believer, Church leader or elder, Bible preacher or teacher may say it. It shows how Satan can misuse God’s people in an ungodly way, and Biblical texts and facts in an unBiblical way, to suit his nefarious purposes; even by getting it done by God’s committed Believers, Church leaders and elders, Bible preachers and teachers, etc. In the next article we will look at examples from the Bible of alteration of Scriptural text by adding to it, or taking away from it.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

यह दिखाने के लिए कि शैतान किस प्रकार से परमेश्वर के लोगों को बाइबल की बातों की गलत व्याख्या और उसके लेखों के दुरुपयोग के द्वारा बहकाता, भरमाता, और गलत मार्ग पर डाल देता है, हम एक बहुत प्रचलित किन्तु बाइबल के सर्वथा विपरीत धारणा को देख रहे हैं, कि उद्धार पाने के बाद उसे कर्मों के द्वारा बनाए रखना है, अन्यथा उद्धार खोया जा सकता है। इस गलत धारणा से सम्बन्धित बहुत दुःखद बात यह है कि इसे परमेश्वर के प्रतिबद्ध लोगों, कलीसिया के प्रमुख लोगों तथा अगुवों, बाइबल के प्रचारकों तथा शिक्षकों आदि के द्वारा ही बना कर रखा जाता है, वे इसे जोर देकर सिखाते हैं। पीछे के लेखों में हमने बहुत संक्षेप में देखा था कि बाइबल के अनुसार उद्धार या नया जन्म पाना क्या है; और पिछले लेख में हमने बाइबल के कुछ तथ्य देखे थे कि बाइबल के अनुसार उद्धार सदा काल का क्यों है। इसी विषय पर आगे बढ़ते हुए, आज हम देखेंगे उद्धार के अनन्तकालीन होने के बारे में कुछ और तथ्य; तथा उद्धार खोया जा सकता है को मानने में क्या छुपे हुए किन्तु बहुत शैतानी, परमेश्वर विरोधी अभिप्राय हैं; ऐसे अभिप्राय जो परमेश्वर के चरित्र, गुणों, और उसके परमेश्वर होने पर ही आघात करते हैं, जिस से प्रकट हो जाता है कि यह मानना एक शैतानी युक्ति है, बाइबल का तथ्य नहीं।

जो यह मानते हैं कि उद्धार हमेशा का नहीं है बल्कि खोया जा सकता है, उन्हें इन बातों का भी उत्तर देने के लिए तैयार रहना चाहिए:

• बाइबल की शिक्षा है कि जो उद्धार पाए हुए परमेश्वर के लोग हैं, वे उस की सन्तान, उसका परिवार, और उसकी अनमोल संपत्ति भी हैं। उन्हें वह पूरे हक़ से बहुत संभाल कर रखता है। उनके पथ-भ्रष्ट होने, संसार के साथ समझौते का जीवन जीने, और शैतान के लाये प्रलोभनों में विश्वास में स्थिर और दृढ़ खड़े रहने की बजाए गिर जाने के लिए वह उनकी ताड़ना कर सकता है (इब्रानियों 12:5-11)। यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो बहुत घोर ताड़ना भी कर सकता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 5:1-5); लेकिन कभी भी, किसी को भी, उन्हें अपने से अलग नहीं ले जाने देगा, और न कभी छोड़ेगा अथवा त्यागेगा (इब्रानियों 13:5)। एक बार जो परमेश्वर की सन्तान बन गया, वह सदा काल के लिए परमेश्वर की संतान और प्रभु की देह का एक अंग हो गया।

• इस्राएलियों, यहूदियों, ने पुराने नियम में परमेश्वर तथा उस के नियमों के साथ, और जब प्रभु यीशु पृथ्वी पर था तब उस के साथ जो किया, तथा आज भी प्रभु यीशु के बारे में जो विचारधारा वे रखते हैं, आदि बातों के बारे में विचार कीजिए। जो इस्राएलियों, यहूदियों ने परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध किया है, और आज भी करते आ रहे हैं, क्या उस से बढ़कर जघन्य कोई पाप हो सकता है? लेकिन क्या परमेश्वर ने उन्हें त्याग दिया? क्या परमेश्वर ने उन्हें अपने पास से निकालकर अलग कर दिया? क्या अभी भी वह उनकी रक्षा नहीं करता चला आ रहा है? रोमियों 11 अध्याय पढ़िए, और परमेश्वर ने उनके लिए जो प्रतिज्ञा रखी है उसे देखिए। यदि अब भी इस्राएली परमेश्वर के लोग कहला सकते हैं, और उन्हें, उनकी बहाली की प्रतिज्ञा दी जा सकती है, तो फिर किसी और के साथ यह क्यों नहीं हो सकता है?

• दाऊद और सुलैमान के जीवनों पर ध्यान कीजिए; उनके जीवनों में पाए जाने वाले झूठ, व्यभिचार, हत्या, दुराचार, मूर्तिपूजा, आदि के बावजूद आज भी उनके नाम, उदाहरण, और लेख परमेश्वर के वचन में आदर का स्थान पाते हैं, और वे प्रभु यीशु की वंशावली में स्थान पाते हैं। आज भी, नए नियम में दाऊद को परमेश्वर के मन के अनुसार व्यक्ति कहा गया है (प्रेरितों 13:22)। कभी भी, कहीं पर भी उन्हें उनके कर्मों के कारण परमेश्वर द्वारा त्यागा हुआ, परमेश्वर के राज्य और उसकी संगति से निष्कासित नहीं कहा गया है।

• यद्यपि बाइबल इसके बारे में बहुत स्पष्ट है, और बाइबल में कहीं पर भी किसी भी व्यक्ति के भ्रष्ट जीवन के कारण उसके उद्धार खोने का कोई उल्लेख, कोई उदाहरण नहीं है, लेकिन फिर भी शैतान ने लोगों के मनों में यह गलतफहमी बहुत दृढ़ता से बैठा रखी है कि यदि भले कर्मों के द्वारा उद्धार को संभाल कर न रखा जाए, तो उद्धार खोया जा सकता है। सम्पूर्ण बाइबल में क्या किसी एक भी व्यक्ति के उद्धार को खो देने का कोई एक भी उदाहरण है? बाइबल का तथ्य यही है कि उद्धार पाप करते रहने या पाप में बने रहने का लाइसेंस नहीं है। जैसा हमने उपरोक्त पहले बिन्दु में देखा है, उद्धार पाया व्यक्ति अपने भ्रष्ट जीवन के कारण परमेश्वर से ताड़ना, जो भयानक और भारी भी हो सकती है, पा सकता है और पाता भी है, वह स्वर्ग में खाली हाथ प्रवेश कर सकता है, और बहुतेरे करेंगे भी (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15), किन्तु उसका उद्धार कभी नहीं खोएगा।

परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करते रहने, दुराचारी जीवन जीने के कारण उद्धार खोने के इस तर्क के साथ एक पक्ष और भी है जिस पर शायद ही कभी कोई ध्यान देता हो; उद्धार खोये जाने की यह धारणा परमेश्वर के बुनियादी गुणों पर प्रहार करती है – उसके सर्वज्ञानी होने, अर्थात्, आरम्भ से ही अन्त को जानने (यशायाह 14:24; 46:10), तथा उसके सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर होने पर, जिसके हाथ से कोई उसकी भेड़ों को छीन नहीं सकता है (यूहन्ना 10:28-29) को झूठा दिखाती है। यदि उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति के कार्यों और व्यवहार के कारण उसका उद्धार खोया जा सकता है, तो इसका यही अभिप्राय हुआ कि जब परमेश्वर ने उसके पश्चाताप को ग्रहण किया, उसके प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास लाने को माना, पापों के लिए क्षमा की उसकी गुहार को स्वीकार किया, और उसे उद्धार दिया, तब या तो परमेश्वर को पता नहीं था या वह जान ही नहीं सकता था कि यह व्यक्ति एक समय पर उसे छोड़ कर सांसारिक व्यवहार और जीवन में लौट जाएगा। इसका अर्थ यह हुआ कि परमेश्वर जैसा दावा करता है, वह वैसा सर्वज्ञानी परमेश्वर नहीं है।

 

दूसरी बात, यदि शैतान बहका-फुसला कर, प्रलोभन-लालच के द्वारा, किसी प्रकार की धमकी के द्वारा, या किसी भी अन्य तरीके से, किसी उद्धार पाए हुए जन को परमेश्वर के हाथों से छीन कर ले जा सकता है, और परमेश्वर इस बारे में कुछ भी नहीं कर पाता है, तब तो शैतान परमेश्वर से भी अधिक शक्तिशाली, बुद्धिमान, और सामर्थी है, और परमेश्वर सर्वशक्तिमान नहीं है (मत्ती 12:29)। लेकिन बाइबल का यह तथ्य भी है कि परमेश्वर, अपने किसी उद्देश्य के अन्तर्गत, शैतान को कुछ बातें कर लेने की अनुमति देता है (निर्गमन 9:16; रोमियों 9:17, 22) और अन्ततः उन बातों के द्वारा भी अपने बच्चों के लिए कुछ भला ही करता है (रोमियों 8:28)। यह बात अय्यूब के जीवन से अच्छे से दर्शायी गई है (अय्यूब 42:12; याकूब 5:11)। लेकिन जो मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर और उसके वचन को हलके में लेते हैं, उसका दुरुपयोग करते हैं, वे हलके में नहीं छूटेंगे, उन्हें ताड़ना सहने और संभवतः अनन्त काल के लिए खाली हाथ स्वर्ग में रहने के द्वारा एक भारी कीमत चुकानी पड़ेगी। क्योंकि हम सभी को अपने जीवनों और कामों के अनुसार प्रतिफल दिये जाएंगे, जिनके लिये हमें अन्ततः प्रभु यीशु को अपने जीवनों का हिसाब देना ही होगा (2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10; रोमियों 14:10); और परमेश्वर के न्याय का आरम्भ उसके अपने लोगों के न्याय के साथ होगा (1 पतरस 4:17-18)।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Altering God’s Word - 12

 

To illustrate how Satan induces God’s people to be misled and misguided through misinterpretations and misuse of Biblical texts and facts in an unBiblical manner, we have been considering a very common but absolutely false belief that salvation has to be maintained by works or else it will be lost. The very sad part about this wrong notion is that it is maintained by many of God’s committed Believers, Church leaders and elders, Bible preachers and teachers, etc. and is emphatically taught by them. In the previous articles we have seen very briefly, Biblically speaking, what it means to be a Christian and to be saved or be Born-Again; and in the last article we have seen some Biblical facts why Biblically, salvation is eternal. Today, continuing with the same topic, we will see some more facts about salvation being eternal; and the very subtle but very devious implications of believing that salvation can be lost; implications that attack the very character and attributes of God and His being God, making it evident that this belief is a satanic ploy, not a Biblical fact.

Those who believe that salvation is not eternal and it can be lost, also need to answer the following:

• The Biblical teaching is that those who are the saved people of God, His children, His family, are also His precious possession. He is very possessive about them. He will chasten them for their being wayward, for compromising with the world, and succumbing to the temptations brought by the devil instead of standing firm in their faith (Hebrews 12:5-11). If it is required, He will even chasten them severely (1 Corinthians 5:1-5); but will never let anyone take them away from Him, nor will He ever abandon them (Hebrews 13:5). Once a child of God, once a part of Lord Jesus’s body, always, for eternity a child of God and a member of Lord Jesus’s body.

• Consider Israel, the Jews, and what all they have done to God and His Commandments in the Old Testament, what they did to the Lord Jesus, while He was on earth, and their thinking about the Lord Jesus even today. Can anyone's sins be more heinous than what they have done and are still doing? Yet, has God abandoned them? Has God cast them away? Is He not still preserving them? Read Romans 11 and see the promise that God has given for them. If Israel can still be considered as people of God, with a promise of their restoration, then why not anyone else?

• Consider the lives of David and Solomon; despite the lies, adultery, murder, debauchery, idolatry etc. that were seen in their lives, their names, examples, and writings still have an honorable place in God’s Word and in Christ’s lineage. David is still called a man after God’s own heart even in the New Testament (Acts 13:22). Nowhere have they been called those whom God rejected and removed from His Kingdom and fellowship because of their deeds.

• Although the Bible is very clear about it, and there are no examples of anyone ever losing their salvation because of their wayward life, still, Satan has put this misconception very firmly into many people’s minds that salvation can be lost if it is not maintained by good works. Is there even one example of anyone ever losing their salvation in the entire Bible? The Biblical fact is that salvation is not a license to sin or to remain in sin. As we have seen in the first point above, the saved person can be, and will be chastened by God on earth, and this chastening may even be quite severe and terrible; he may enter heaven without any rewards because of his wayward life, and many will do so (1 Corinthians 3:13-15), but he will never lose his salvation.

There is another aspect to this argument about losing salvation because of being disobedient to God, because of living a wayward life; and scarcely anyone pays any attention to it. This idea of losing salvation hits at the basic characteristics of God - His being omniscient, knowing the end from the beginning (Isaiah 14:24; 46:10), and His being the omnipotent God, from whose hands no one can ever snatch away His sheep (John 10:28-29), shows these to be false. If salvation can be lost because of the saved person’s behavior, then it implies that God when saving him, accepting his repentance, his coming to faith in the Lord Jesus, and his plea for forgiveness, either did not or could not know that in the days to come, this person will walk away from Him into worldly thinking and living. This implies that God cannot be the omniscient God that He claims to be. 

Secondly, if Satan can entice, tempt, threaten, snatch, or in any other way, take anyone away, out of God’s hands, while God remains powerless or unable to do anything about it, then Satan is stronger, or wiser, or more potent than God, and God is not omnipotent (Matthew 12:29). But the Biblical fact is that God, for some of His purposes, permits Satan to do certain things (Exodus 9:16; Romans 9:17, 22) and eventually, even through those things, works out some good for His children (Romans 8:28). This is well illustrated by the life of Job (Job 42:12; James 5:11). But those Christian Believers who take the Lord and His Word lightly, will not escape lightly, they will have to pay a heavy price, through chastening and even entering heaven empty-handed for eternity. For we will all be rewarded according to our lives and deeds, for which we will have to give an account to the Lord Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:10); and God’s judgment will begin with His own people (1 Peter 4:17-18).

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

मसीही विश्वासी के परमेश्वर के वचन का भण्डारी होने के अपने इस अध्ययन में, हम उन तरीकों को देख रहे हैं जिनके द्वारा शैतान परमेश्वर के वचन को भ्रष्ट करता है। हमने देखा है कि उन में से एक तरीका है परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए उसके वचन, बाइबल, के लेख में फेर-बदल करना। इस फेर-बदल को करने के लिए शैतान दो तरीके उपयोग करता है, पहला जो प्रत्यक्ष होता है – लेख में कुछ जोड़ना, अथवा उसमें से कुछ निकाल लेना; और दूसरा जो अप्रत्यक्ष और बहुत चालाकी से किया हुआ, जिसे आसानी से समझा नहीं जा सकता है, वह है – बाइबल के लेखों और तथ्यों का बाइबल के विपरीत रीति से उपयोग करना, उसे ऐसे अर्थ और अभिप्राय देने के द्वारा जो मूल में उसके साथ कभी थे ही नहीं। इस छेड़-छाड़ को लोगों को स्वीकार्य बनाने, उसका पालन करवाने, और उसके द्वारा लोगों को पथ-भ्रष्ट करने का सबसे कारगर तरीका है इस कार्य के लिए परमेश्वर के प्रतिबद्ध लोगों, कलीसिया के प्रमुख लोगों तथा अगुवों, बाइबल के प्रचारकों तथा शिक्षकों आदि को भरमा कर उनसे बाइबल के लेखों को बाइबल के विपरीत अर्थों और अभिप्रायों के साथ दुरुपयोग करवाना; और पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम शैतान की इसी युक्ति के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं।

हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि इस बात में शैतान को बहुत बड़ी सहायता इस से मिलती है कि अधिकांश ईसाई या मसीही बाइबल का अध्ययन करते ही नहीं हैं; कुछ लोग एक औपचारिकता निभाने के समान बाइबल को पढ़ लेते हैं, लेकिन बहुत ही थोड़े होते हैं जो वास्तव में बाइबल का अध्ययन करने में समय बिताते हैं। बाइबल के ज्ञान की इस कमी के कारण, शैतान बड़ी आसानी से अपने झूठ और बिगाड़े हुए वचन को लोगों में फैला देता है, और वे बातें पकड़ी भी नहीं जाती हैं और न ही उनके बारे में कोई प्रश्न उठाता है। बल्कि, अधिकांश ईसाइयों या मसीहियों में अपने परमेश्वर के प्रतिबद्ध लोगों, कलीसिया के प्रमुख लोगों तथा अगुवों, बाइबल के प्रचारकों तथा शिक्षकों आदि के प्रति जो अंध-भक्ति और बिना कोई प्रश्न किए उनकी हर बात को मानने की जो प्रवृत्ति देखी जाती है, वह भी शैतान के लिए बहुत सहायक होती है। शैतान उन से प्रभावी, रोचक, आकर्षक, और तर्कपूर्ण प्रतीत होने वाली रीति से जो भी कहलवा देता है, लोग उसे स्वीकार कर लेते हैं, मान लेते हैं। इस सन्दर्भ में हम एक बहुधा देखे और माने जाने वाले, किन्तु सर्वथा गलत और बाइबल के विरुद्ध उदाहरण को देख रहे हैं; यह उदाहरण वह शिक्षा है कि उद्धार को यदि अच्छे कर्मों से बना कर न रखा जाए, तो उद्धार खोया जा सकता है। यह समझने के लिए कि यह किस प्रकार से एक शैतानी झूठ है, बाइबल के विरुद्ध है, हमने पिछले लेख में बहुत संक्षेप में देखा था कि बाइबल के अनुसार मसीही होने और उद्धार यानि नया जन्म पाने का क्या अर्थ है।

इसी विषय को आगे बढ़ाते हुए, आज हम, फिर से बहुत संक्षेप में, देखेंगे कि क्यों बाइबल के अनुसार उद्धार हमेशा के लिए है, उसे कभी खोया नहीं जा सकता है; उद्धार से संबंधित कुछ आधारभूत, मूल तथ्य हैं:

• उद्धार कभी भी कर्मों से नहीं है, वरन परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से प्रभु यीशु मसीह के कलवरी के क्रूस पर समस्त मानव जाति के पापों के प्रायश्चित के लिए दिए गए बलिदान पर विश्वास करने से मिलने वाली पापों की क्षमा, और उसके मृतकों में से पुनरुत्थान से है (इफिसियों 2:1-9)। किसी भी प्रकार के कोई भी कार्य, कभी भी किसी को भी परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह और उद्धार को प्राप्त करने के योग्य नहीं बना सकते हैं, क्योंकि उसका तात्पर्य होगा कि वे कार्य परमेश्वर पुत्र, प्रभु यीशु मसीह के कार्यों और बलिदान के समतुल्य हैं – दूसरे शब्दों में, अपवित्र, पापी, और त्रुटिपूर्ण मनुष्य पवित्र, निष्पाप, त्रुटिहीन परमेश्वर के समतुल्य कार्य कर सकता है – जो बिलकुल बेतुकी और असंभव बात है।

• इस तथ्य का अनिवार्य स्वाभाविक उप-सिद्धान्त है, जो कर्मों से प्राप्त नहीं हो सकता है, उसे कर्मों द्वारा बना कर रखा भी नहीं जा सकता है। सीधी सी बात है, यदि उद्धार पाने के बाद, कोई अपने आप को अपने कर्मों के द्वारा “निष्पाप” बनाए रख सकता है, तो वह इसे उद्धार प्राप्त करने से पहले भी कर सकता था। तो फिर प्रभु यीशु को हमारे पापों को अपने ऊपर लेकर हमारे पापों की कीमत चुकाने के लिए हमारे लिए मरने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं थी। साथ ही 1 यूहन्ना 1:7-10 भी देखिए, और ध्यान कीजिए कि “हम” शब्द के उपयोग के द्वारा प्रेरित यूहन्ना अपने आप को भी उन में सम्मिलित कर रहा है जिन्हें निरंतर प्रभु की क्षमा की आवश्यकता पड़ती रहती है; उनमें, जो उद्धार पाने और परमेश्वर की सन्तान (यूहन्ना 1:12-13) बनने के बाद भी पाप करते रहते हैं।

• जब प्रभु ने हमारे पाप क्षमा किए, तब हमारे जीवन भर के सारे पाप क्षमा कर दिए; और उन लोगों के लिए जिनका जन्म प्रभु यीशु की पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के बाद हुआ, प्रभु ने उनके पापों की कीमत चुका कर उन्हें तब क्षमा कर दिया था जब उनका जन्म भी नहीं हुआ था, उन्होंने कोई पाप किया भी नहीं था। साथ ही, ऐसा भी नहीं है कि परमेश्वर ने व्यक्ति के केवल उतने ही पाप क्षमा किए थे जितने पाप उसने प्रभु यीशु मसीह को अपना उद्धारकर्ता ग्रहण करने और उद्धार पाने के समय तक किए थे, और फिर उस पर छोड़ दिया कि इसके बाद वो फिर कोई पाप न करे; और यदि उसने पाप कर दिया, तो फिर उसे परिणाम भुगतने पड़ेंगे, उसका उद्धार जाता रहेगा। यह एक बहुत बेतुकी और व्यर्थ धारणा है, जिसकी बाइबल से कोई समर्थन अथवा पुष्टि कदापि नहीं है। यदि मेरे जन्म लेने से भी पहले, मेरे सारे जीवन भर के सारे पाप क्षमा कर दिए गए हैं, तो प्रकट है कि इन क्षमा किए गए पापों में वे पाप भी सम्मिलित हैं जो मैंने उद्धार पाने के बाद किए हैं। क्योंकि मेरे द्वारा यह भी तो उसी एक जीवन में किया गया है, और प्रभु ने उसी एक जीवन में मुझे 1 यूहन्ना 1:9 के द्वारा बहाल भी कर दिया है।

• उद्धार अनन्तकालीन है (इब्रानियों 5:9; 9:12, 15); और अनन्तकालीन होने का अर्थ है हमेशा के लिए है। यदि उद्धार जा सकता होता तो उसे अनन्त या सदा काल का नहीं कहा जाता। यदि परमेश्वर का वचन उसे अनन्त कहता है, तो फिर जो यह दावा करते हैं कि उद्धार जा सकता है, वे परमेश्वर के वचन में गलतियाँ और असत्य होने का तात्पर्य दे रहे हैं। यदि आप इस बात पर यूहन्ना 1:1, 14 के आधार पर मनन करेंगे, तो उद्धार गंवाया जा सकता है कि इस धारणा का प्रकट अर्थ होगा स्वयं प्रभु यीशु को झूठा कहना, उनके जीवन तथा दावों में गंभीर गलतियाँ होना। ऐसे में फिर उनके यह कहने के, कि वे ही सत्य हैं, परमेश्वर तक पहुँचने का एकमात्र मार्ग हैं (यूहन्ना 14:6) पर कोई कैसे भरोसा कर सकता है?

• क्योंकि परमेश्वर का वचन अनन्तकाल के लिए है, अचूक है, और पूर्णतः सत्य है, कभी बदलेगा नहीं, इसलिए, “सब से बड़ा पापी” होने की उपाधि हमेशा के लिए पौलुस प्रेरित ने ले ली है (1 तीमुथियुस 1:15)। इसलिए, कोई भी, वह चाहे कितना भी जघन्य पापी और गिरा हुआ मनुष्य क्यों न हो, हर हाल में वह पौलुस से कुछ कम पापी और गिरा हुआ ही रहेगा। ऐसे में, यदि पौलुस न केवल उद्धार पा सकता था, वरन उसे लगभग दो-तिहाई नए नियम को लिखने का आदर भी दिया जा सकता था, तो फिर औरों के लिए आशा क्यों नहीं होगी? इसी सन्दर्भ में रोमियों 7:15-24, और फिर रोमियों 7:25-8:2 में पौलुस के प्रत्युत्तर तथा जयघोष को भी देखिए।

    अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे कि उद्धार को खोया जा सकता है कहने और मानने के क्या अभिप्राय होते हैं।

In our study on Christian Believer’s being stewards of God’s Word, we have been considering the ways through which Satan corrupts God’s Word. We have seen that one of the ways Satan does this is by altering the God given text of God’s Word the Bible. To do this alteration Satan uses two methods, one is quite evident – add to the text, or take away from it; and the second method is quite subtle and not easily evident – use Biblical text and facts in an unBiblical way, giving it meanings and implications that originally were never meant or intended with them. The most reliable way of making sure this tampering with God’s Word is accepted and followed, and the people do get misguided is by inducing God’s committed Believers, Church leaders and elders, Bible preachers and teachers, etc. to use Biblical text in an unBiblical manner; and for the past few articles, we have been considering about this satanic ploy.

We had seen in the previous article that Satan is greatly helped in this by the fact that the vast majority of Christians do not study the Bible; some may perfunctorily read it, but very few spend time actually studying it. Because of this lack of Biblical knowledge, Satan is able to very easily feed his lies and distortions of the Word, without their being caught and questioned. Rather, the blind-faith and unquestioning attitude seen amongst the vast majority of Christians towards their Church leaders and elders, Bible preachers and teachers, etc. and whatever they preach and teach, helps Satan in getting them to say anything in an impressive, appealing, and seemingly logical manner, and get away with it. In this context we have been considering an example of a very commonly seen and believed teaching, but one that is absolutely unBiblical, that salvation has to be maintained by the saved persons by good works or else it can be lost. In trying to understand how this is a satanic lie, and is quite unBiblical, in the previous article we had very briefly seen, Biblically speaking, what it means to be a Christian and being saved or being Born-Again.

Continuing with this same topic, today let us, again very briefly, see why Biblically speaking, salvation is eternal, can never be lost. Some basic and fundamental Biblical Facts related to Salvation are: 

• Salvation is not by works but by the grace of God through the forgiveness of sins granted by God because of the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus for the sins of the entire mankind on the Cross of Calvary (Ephesians 2:1-9) and His resurrection from the dead. No works of any kind can ever make anyone worthy of gaining God’s favor and salvation, because that would mean that those works of a man are equivalent to the works and sacrifice of God the Son, the Lord Jesus – implying that the unholy, sinning, fallible man can do works equivalent to the works of holy sinless infallible God – an absurdity and impossibility. 

• An imperative corollary of this fact is that what cannot ever be gained by work, cannot ever be maintained by any kind of work either. If anyone on his own, through his works, can maintain a “sin-free” status after salvation, then he could as well have done this before salvation. Then, there would have been no need for the Lord Jesus to take our sins upon Himself and die in our place to pay for those sins. Also, see 1 John 1:7-10, and note that the Apostle John, through the use of “we” includes himself amongst those who continually need the Lord’s forgiveness; amongst those who keep sinning even after being saved and having become the child of God (John 1:12-13).

• When the Lord God forgave our sins, He forgave the sins of our entire lifetime; and for people born after the earthly ministry of the Lord Jesus, He had paid for and forgiven them their sins even before they were born and had even committed those sins. It is not that God only forgave those sins of a person that he had committed till the day he accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior and was saved, and then left it to him to it that see that he sins no more; and if he did sin after that, then he will have to suffer their consequences, lose his salvation. This is an illogical and absurd thought, with no support or affirmation whatsoever from the Bible. If all my sins, of my entire life, have been forgiven, even before I was born and committed them, then quite evidently these forgiven sins also include the times I have backslidden after my salvation; because this too has happened in that same lifetime, and I was restored by the Lord in that one life, because of 1 John 1:9.

• Salvation is eternal (Hebrews 5:9; 9:12, 15); and eternal means everlasting, beyond the limits of time. If salvation could be lost, then it could not have been called “eternal”. If God’s Word calls it eternal, then those who claim that salvation can be lost, imply that there are errors, and lies, in God’s Word. If you ponder on it in light of John 1:1, 14, then this notion of losing salvation is tantamount to calling the Lord Jesus a liar and of having gross errors in His life and claims. How then can one trust His statement of being “The Truth” and “The Way” to God (John 14:6)?

• The “title” of being the Chief Sinner ever, has already been taken by Paul (1 Timothy 1:15), for all times, since God’s Word is eternal, infallible, and true in its entirety; it will never change. Therefore, anyone, however sinful and fallen he may be, will still remain a lesser sinner than Paul. If Paul could not only be saved, but also be given the honor of writing about two-thirds of the New Testament, why shouldn’t there be the same hope for others? See also Romans 7:15-24, and then Paul’s response and exultation in Romans 7:25-8:2.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
