परमेश्वर के वचन की आज्ञाकारिता – 2

 

पिछले लेख से हमने दाऊद द्वारा सुलैमान को दिए गए तीसरे निर्देश – “जितनी बातें परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखी हैं, वह उनका आज्ञाकारी बना रहे” (1 राजाओं 2:3b), और जो आज भी सभी मसीहियों पर समान रीति से लागू है, पर विचार करना आरंभ किया है। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर के वचन की अनाज्ञाकारिता के कारण ही पाप को सँसार तथा सृष्टि में प्रवेश करने का अवसर मिला। परमेश्वर के वचन की अनाज्ञाकारिता हमेशा ही लोगों तथा परमेश्वर की सन्तानों के लिए गंभीर समस्याएं उत्पन्न करती रही है, उन पर परमेश्वर के दण्ड, क्रोध, और घोर ताड़ना को लाती रही है। परमेश्वर अपने अनाज्ञाकारी लोगों को, जो उसे छोड़ कर सँसार और उसके सुखों के पीछे हो लेते हैं, न तो कभी छोड़ देता है और न ही उनका तिरस्कार करता है। उसने इस्राएल को नहीं छोड़ा, इस्राएल ने जो प्रभु यीशु और उसके अनुयायियों के साथ किया, उसके बावजूद भी; परंतु न तो उसने उनकी अनाज्ञाकारिता को हल्के में लिया और न ही उसकी अनदेखी की। जो भी परमेश्वर के अनाज्ञाकारिता करता है, उसे इसका परिणाम भुगतना पड़ेगा और कीमत चुकानी होगी; और यह उनकी अनन्तकाल की आशीषों और प्रतिफलों को भी नष्ट करता है। ऐसे बहुतेरे मसीही विश्वासी होंगे जो स्वर्ग में छूछे हाथ प्रवेश करेंगे (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15), और अनन्तकाल तक खाली हाथ ही रहेंगे। क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने मसीही जीवन वैसे व्यतीत नहीं किए जो परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न करे, उन पर उसकी आशीष लाए, और उन्हें अनन्तकालीन प्रतिफलों को प्रदान करे।

एक अन्य बात जिसे हमें समझना अनिवार्य है, वह है कि परमेश्वर के वचन की आज्ञाकारिता का अर्थ होता है परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में जो और जैसा लिखवाया है, उसका वैसे ही पालन करना, उसी के अनुसार करना। इसका यह अर्थ कदापि नहीं है, और न ही किसी मनुष्य को अनुमति है, कि वह परमेश्वर के वचन में कोई परिवर्तन, कोई जोड़-तोड़ करे, और फिर उस बदले हुए वचन को परमेश्वर के लोगों के समक्ष, परमेश्वर का खरा वचन कह कर प्रस्तुत करे। प्रभु यीशु के सम्पूर्ण ‘पहाड़ी उपदेश’ में, अर्थात मत्ती रचित सुसमाचार के 5-7 अध्यायों में, हम देखते हैं कि प्रभु यीशु कई दफा, ‘तुमने सुना है,’ या, ‘तुम से कहा गया है,’ या इसी अभिप्राय का कोई वाक्यांश कहते हैं; और फिर, यह कहते हुए कि ‘लेकिन मैं तुम से कहता हूँ,’ वो उसका सुधारा हुआ स्वरूप बताते हैं। अर्थात जीवित वचन जिसने देहधारी होकर हमारे मध्य में डेरा किया (यूहन्ना 1:14), उन्हें सिखा रहा था कि वास्तविक निर्देश क्या था, बजाय उसके जो भ्रष्ट कर के उन्हें सिखाया गया और जिसका पालन करवाया जा रहा था। उस समय के धार्मिक अगुवों ने परमेश्वर के वचन की गलत व्याख्या करके उसका दुरुपयोग इस उद्देश्य से किया था कि वह उनके लिए सहज एवं लाभकारी हो। वे जन-सामान्य को इस भ्रष्ट किए हुए वचन को परमेश्वर का वचन कहकर बताते और सिखाते थे, और उसी का पालन करने के लिए कहते थे। मत्ती 15:1-9 में हम देखते हैं कि प्रभु यीशु शास्त्रियों और फरीसियों को फटकार लगाई, उनके द्वारा अपनी ही रीतियाँ बनाकर और मनुष्यों की बनाई हुए आज्ञाओं को परमेश्वर का वचन कह कर सिखाने के लिए उनकी भर्त्सना की। उस समय लोग सामान्यतः अनपढ़ होते थे, और परमेश्वर के वचन की प्रतियां भी पढ़ने और सीखने के लिए सरलता से उपलब्ध नहीं थीं; इसीलिए लोग मजबूर थे कि धार्मिक अगुवों के द्वारा उन्हें जो भी बताया और सिखाया जाए, उसी को स्वीकार कर लें, और उसे का पालन करें।

आज भी लगभग यही स्थिति विद्यमान है, यद्यपि परमेश्वर का वचन अनेकों भाषाओं और विभिन्न स्वरूपों – लिखित और डिजिटल रूप में; साथ ही बाइबल के अध्ययन की सामग्री भी बहुतायत से और सरलता से उपलब्ध है। और प्रभु परमेश्वर ने अपना वचन सिखाने के लिए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को अपना पवित्र आत्मा भी प्रदान कर रखा है – जैसे हम वचन के भण्डारी होने से संबंधित लेखों में विस्तार से देख चुके हैं। किन्तु फिर भी अधिकाँश “मसीही” अपने धार्मिक अगुवों पर ही भरोसा करते हैं, उन्हीं की कही हुई को सुनते और मानते हैं, डिनॉमिनेशन या मत के अगुवे जो कहते और करवाते हैं लोग परमेश्वर के वास्तविक वचन की बजाए उस कहे हुए का ही पालन करते हैं। यह तथ्य कि विभिन्न डिनॉमिनेशनों और मतों के सिद्धांतों और रीतियों में परस्पर बहुत अन्तर पाए जाते हैं इस बात का प्रमाण है कि मनुष्यों के बनाए हुए ये नियम और रिवाज़, ये सिद्धान्त और रीतियाँ, परमेश्वर का वास्तविक वचन नहीं हैं। जैसा कि प्रभु यीशु की पृथ्वी के सेवकाई के दिनों में फरीसी, शास्त्री, और अन्य धार्मिक अगुवे कर रहे थे, आज ये डिनॉमिनेशनों और मतों के धार्मिक अगुवे भी परमेश्वर के वचन की गलत व्याख्या और दुरुपयोग कर रहे हैं। उसे अपने लिए सहज और लाभकारी बनाकर उस बदले हुए तथा भ्रष्ट किए हुए वचन को परमेश्वर का सच्चा और खरा वचन बताकर सिखा रहे हैं, जो कि वह कदापि नहीं है। इसीलिए, प्रभु यीशु ने जो उस समय फरीसियों से कहा था, वही आज भी वैसे ही, इन लोगों पर भी लागू होता है – “और ये व्यर्थ मेरी उपासना करते हैं, क्योंकि मनुष्यों की विधियों को धर्मोपदेश कर के सिखाते हैं” (मत्ती 15:9)। अर्थात, इन गढ़ी हुई और भ्रष्ट धारणाओं और रीतियों के अनुसार की जाने वाली समस्त आराधना और भक्ति “व्यर्थ आराधना” है, निष्फल और निरर्थक है। जो लोग यह करवाते और करते हैं उन्हें इससे कोई स्वर्गीय आशीष, कोई अनन्तकालीन लाभ नहीं मिलता है, वे चाहे कितनी ही ईमानदारी और श्रद्धा से इसका निर्वाह क्यों न करें।

मसीहियों के लिए परमेश्वर के निर्देश “निर्मल आत्मिक दूध” (1 पतरस 2:2) की लालसा रखने के हैं, न परमेश्वर के वचन के नाम पर बदला हुआ, भ्रष्ट किया हुआ, जो कुछ भी सिखाया और करवाया जाए उसी में बने रहने के। जैसा हमने मसीही विश्वासी के परमेश्वर के वचन का भण्डारी होने से संबंधित लेखों में देखा है, कलीसियाओं की बढ़ोतरी और विश्वासियों की आत्मिक उन्नति के लिए आवश्यक बातों में परमेश्वर का परिशुद्ध, बिना भ्रष्ट किया गया वचन देना, सिखाना एवं सीखना, और उसी का पालन करना, एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखते हैं। परिशुद्ध वचन से ही कलीसिया बढ़ती और विश्वासियों की आत्मिक उन्नति होती है, किसी अन्य से नहीं। परमेश्वर की आशीषें और प्रभु के साथ संगति केवल उसके खरे वचन के मानने वालों के साथ ही हैं (यूहन्ना 14:21, 23; यशायाह 40:31; 2 तीमुथियुस 3:15-17)।

अगले लेख में दाऊद के द्वारा सुलैमान को दिए गए चौथे निर्देश “सावधान रहे, और हमेशा प्रभु के प्रति समर्पित बना रहे (1 राजाओं 2:4b)” पर विचार करना आरम्भ करेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Always Obedient to God’s Word

Obedience to God’s Word – 2

 

Since the last article, we have begun to consider the third instruction that David gave to Solomon – “To be obedient to the Word of God, in all things written in it” (1Ki 2:3b); and even today it remains applicable to all the Christians. In the previous article we have seen that disobedience to God’s Word caused sin to enter into creation and the world. Disobedience to God’s Word has always caused serious problems for the people and children of God; even inviting God’s retribution, wrath, and severe chastisement upon them. God does not abandon or reject His disobedient people who leave Him and go follow the world and its pleasures. He has not rejected Israel, despite what Israel has done to the Lord Jesus and to those following Him; but neither does He condone their disobedience nor takes it lightly. Anyone who disobeys God, will have to suffer for it and pay a price; This even harms their eternal blessings and rewards. There will be many Christian Believers who will enter heaven empty handed (1 Corinthians 3:13-15), and remain so for eternity. Because they failed to live their Christian lives in a manner that would please God, bring His blessings upon them, and cause them to receive eternal rewards.

Another thing we need to understand is that obeying God’s Word means obeying and doing according to what God has written in His Word, just as He has asked it to be done. It in no way means, or, permits man’s modifications and alterations of God’s Word, and then to present the man-made modifications to God’s people as the pure Word of God. Throughout the Sermon on the Mount, i.e., chapters 5-7 of Matthew’s Gospel, we find the Lord Jesus repeatedly teaching and saying phrases like, ‘you have heard,’ or ‘you were told,’ or implying the same; and then He presents His corrected version by stating ‘but I say to you.’ In other words, the Living Word who became flesh and dwelt amongst us (John 1:14) was teaching them what the actual instruction was, instead of the corrupted one that they had been taught and asked to practice. The religious leaders of those times had misinterpreted and misapplied God’s Word to make it suit their convenience and be of benefit to them. They were teaching this corrupted word of God to the general public and asking them to obey it. In Matthew 15:1-9 the Lord Jesus castigates the Scribes and the Pharisees for creating their own traditions and teaching commandments of men as the word of God, and denounced them for it. At that time the people were generally illiterate, and copies of God’s Word were not so easily available for reading and learning; and so, the people were constrained to learn, accept, and follow whatever the religious leaders taught them and asked them to do.

Much the same situation exists even today, although God’s word is freely available in many languages and forms – printed and digital; and so are Bible studies and teachings readily available. The Lord God has also given His Holy Spirit to each and every Christian Believer to teach them His Word, as we have seen in detail in the articles related to being a steward of God’s Word. But still, the vast majority of the “Christians” believe in and adhere to what their religious leaders, those of their denomination or sect preach and teach them, instead of obeying and following the actual Word of God. The very fact that there are major differences in the doctrines and practices of every denomination and sect is proof that none of these man-made rules and regulations, these doctrines and practices, are actually the Word of God. Like what the Scribes and Pharisees and the other religious leaders were doing during the earthly ministry of the Lord, similarly, today’s denominational religious leaders have also manipulated and misinterpreted God’s Word to suit their convenience, and teach that modified and corrupted Word of God, as the “truth” which it most certainly is not. Therefore, what the Lord Jesus said to the Pharisees at that time, also equally applies today – “And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:9). All worship and reverence of God based on these contrived denominational doctrines and practices is “vain worship,” i.e., it is inconsequential. It brings no blessings or rewards to those who indulge in it, no matter how piously and sincerely they may practice it.

God’s instructions to the Christian Believers are to desire the “pure milk of the word” (1 Peter 2:2); not to accept and remain indulgent in the corrupted, adulterated thing preached and taught as ‘word of god’ to them. As we have seen in the articles on the Believer’s stewardship of the Church, and the factors contributing to the growth and edification of the Church and the Christian Believers, it is the sharing, teaching, learning, and obeying the pure, unadulterated, unmodified, unaltered Word of God that causes the Believers to be edified and the Church to grow, not anything else. The blessings and fellowship of the Lord is with those who obey His pure Word (John 14:21, 23; Isaiah 40:31; 2 Timothy 3:15-17).

In the next article we will begin considering David’s fourth instruction to Solomon, “To be careful, taking heed, to remain sincere and committed to the Lord always (1 Kings 2:4b).”

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

हमने आशीषित एवं सफल जीवन जीने से सम्बन्धित इस श्रृंखला को दाऊद द्वारा, 1 राजाओं 2:2-4 में, अपने पुत्र सुलैमान को दिए गए निर्देशों पर आधारित किया है। दाऊद सुलैमान को बताता है कि जयवंत बने रहने के लिए उसे परमेश्वर पर अपना पूरा भरोसा बनाए रखना है, परमेश्वर का पूर्णतः आज्ञाकारी और हर बात में उसी पर निर्भर बने रहना है, और परमेश्वर को ही अपनी सुरक्षा बनाए रखना है। इसके लिए उसे उन चार बातों का पालन करना होगा, जिनकी रूप रेखा 1 राजाओं 2:2-4 में दी गई है:

1.   “तू हियाव बांधकर पुरुषार्थ दिखा” (1 राजाओं 2:2)

2.   “जो कुछ तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुझे सौंपा है, उसकी रक्षा कर”; अर्थात, वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उसी सौंपी गई बातों का एक अच्छा भण्डारी बने (1 राजाओं 2:3a)

3.   जितनी बातें परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखी हैं, वह उनका आज्ञाकारी बना रहे (1 राजाओं 2:3b)

4.   वह सावधान रहे, और हमेशा प्रभु के प्रति समर्पित बना रहे (1 राजाओं 2:4)

 

सफल और जयवन्त होने के लिए जो 4 निर्देश सुलैमान के लिए थे, आज वही प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए भी समान रीति से लागू होते हैं। उनके पालन करने से ही वे अपने मसीही जीवनों में आशीषित एवं सफल तथा परमेश्वर की आशीषों के भागीदार हो सकते हैं। विशेषकर इन अन्त के दिनों में, जब शैतानी शक्तियाँ हम पर, हमारे जीवन के सभी पक्षों पर निरंतर विभिन्न तरह से हमले करने में लगी हुई हैं। इसीलिए हमने इन 4 सिद्धांतों के द्वारा एक समर्पित मसीही जीवन के बारे सीखना आरम्भ किया है, जो परमेश्वर को महिमा और हमें आशीषें प्रदान करता है। हमने अभी तक के लेखों में दाऊद द्वारा सुलैमान को दिए गए पहले दो निर्देशों को देखा है, उन से सीखा है। दूसरे निर्देश में भण्डारी होने के बारे में सीखते हुए हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे प्रदान की गई हर बात के लिए विश्वासी परमेश्वर का भण्डारी है, उसे जवाबदेह है। साथ ही हम ने इस संदर्भ में हमने परमेश्वर ने जो मसीही विश्वासी को दिया है - परमेश्वर का वचन, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, परमेश्वर की कलीसिया और अन्य विश्वासियों के साथ सहभागिता, तथा पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों, इन सभी का भण्डारी होने के बारे में विस्तार से देखा और समझा है। आज हम उपरोक्त 4 निर्देशों में से तीसरे – परमेश्वर और उसके वचन का आज्ञाकारी होने के बारे देखना आरम्भ करेंगे। क्योंकि हम परमेश्वर के वचन के बारे में बहुत सी बातें पहले ही विस्तार से देख चुके हैं, इसलिए हम उन्हें यहाँ पर नहीं दोहराएंगे, बल्कि केवल इस निर्देश के संदर्भ में उन्हें कुछ गहराई से देखेंगे।

जैसा कि हम जानते हैं, जिस कार्य ने पाप को सँसार और सृष्टि में प्रवेश प्रदान किया, जैसा उत्पत्ति 3:1-6 में लिखा गया है, वह था पहले हव्वा और फिर आदम के द्वारा परमेश्वर के वचन, अर्थात उसके निर्देशों का उल्लंघन करना। जैसा हम उत्पत्ति के इस खण्ड से देखते हैं, यह पाप करने के लिए शैतान ने हव्वा को भरमाया था, उस से अपनी बुद्धि और समझ का सहारा ले कर जो उसे सही लगे उस निर्णय के अनुसार करने, न कि परमेश्वर के कहे का दृढ़ता से पालन करने, के लिए उकसाया था। उसके आँकलन के अनुसार उसे वर्जित फल को खा लेना, परमेश्वर के कहे के अनुसार उसे न खाने से अधिक बेहतर लगा; इसलिए उसने परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता की, और पाप कर डाला। बाइबल में पाप की दी गई कई परिभाषाओं में से एक और आधारभूत है पाप का व्यवस्था का विरोध या उल्लंघन होना है (1 यूहन्ना 3:4)। यहाँ ‘व्यवस्था’ से अर्थ केवल मूसा के द्वारा दी गई व्यवस्था ही नहीं है, वरन परमेश्वर के द्वारा मानवजाति को दिए गए सभी निर्देश और आज्ञाएँ है। परमेश्वर द्वारा कही गई बात का कोई भी उल्लंघन, कैसी भी अनाज्ञाकारिता, व्यवस्था का उल्लंघन है, और पाप है। परमेश्वर के न्याय की माँग है कि या तो पाप का प्रायश्चित किया जाए नहीं तो उसका न्याय किया जाए। उसे हल्के में नहीं लिया जा सकता है, ऐसे ही अनदेखा कर के नहीं छोड़ा जा सकता है। यह सिद्धान्त आदम और हव्वा के समय से प्रकट है; उन्होंने पाप किया, उन्हें पश्चाताप करने का अवसर दिया गया, परंतु उन्होंने पश्चाताप की बजाए एक से दूसरे पर दोष लगाने और स्वयं को निर्दोष दिखाने का प्रयास किया, और अपने किए के परिणाम को भुगतना पड़ा – वे मृत्यु के नीचे आ गए तथा अदन की वाटिका से बाहर निकाल दिए गए।

चाहे अनाज्ञाकारिता किसी दबाव में आकर, या किसी भय में होकर की जाए, या चाहे परमेश्वर की आराधना के लिए, उसके प्रति भक्ति में की जाए, परमेश्वर उसे ग्रहण नहीं करता है; वह पाप ही होता है और परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य ही रहता है। हम इसे पुराने नियम में इस्राएल के पहले राजा शाऊल, तथा इस्राएलियों के जीवन और व्यवहार के उदाहरण से भली-भाँति देख सकते हैं। हम 1 शमूएल 13:1-14 में देखते हैं कि क्योंकि शमूएल के आने में विलंब हुआ, शाऊल ने स्वयं ही परमेश्वर को बलिदान चढ़ा दिए – जो कि शमूएल को करना था। परिणाम यह हुआ कि निर्देशों का पालन करने की बजाए बातों को अपने हाथों में ले लेने और जो उसे सही लगा वही करने के लिए उसे शमूएल से बहुत डाँट खानी पड़ी; और उसे चेतावनी दी गई कि इस अनाज्ञाकारिता के लिए उसे अपना राज्य गँवाना पड़ सकता है। किन्तु शाऊल ने शिक्षा नहीं ली, परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करने को हल्के में लिया। हम 1 शमूएल 15:1-23 से देखते हैं कि, मनुष्यों के - उसके अपने लोगों के भय में आकर, राजा शाऊल ने अमालेकियों के पशुओं को पूर्णतः नाश नहीं किया, जैसा कि उसे करने के लिए कहा गया था, और साथ ही अमालेकी राजा अगाग की जान भी बचाए रखी। शाऊल ने अपनी अनाज्ञाकारिता को यह कहकर जायज़ ठहराने का प्रयास किया कि सारे अच्छे पशु परमेश्वर को बलिदान चढ़ाने के लिए बचा कर रखे गए थे, किन्तु इस से कोई सहायता नहीं मिली, परमेश्वर ने शाऊल के इस्राएल का राजा होने का तिरस्कार कर दिया।

इसी प्रकार से इस्राएलियों का इतिहास भी, मिस्र से उनके छुटकारे के बाद से लेकर, सम्पूर्ण पुराने नियम में, और नए नियम में भी जारी रखते हुए, बारंबार परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करते ही रहने का है। जब भी वे अनाज्ञाकारी हुए, उन्हें उसके गंभीर परिणाम भुगतने पड़े; तब वे परमेश्वर के आज्ञाकारी होने का निर्णय करते, और कुछ समय के बाद फिर से अनाज्ञाकारिता में चले जाते और जैसा उन्हें अच्छा लगता था, वैसे जीवन व्यतीत करने लगते थे, और फिर से उन्हें अपने किए को भुगतना पड़ता था।

इसी प्रकार से नए नियम में भी, परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में नहीं, बल्कि अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार काम करने और परमेश्वर द्वारा तिरस्कार किए जाने का एक सटीक उदाहरण मत्ती 7:21-23 है। इन पदों में प्रभु के नाम में, किन्तु आज्ञाकारिता में नहीं बल्कि अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार किए गए प्रचार और चमत्कारिक कार्यों को भी तिरस्कार कर दिया गया और उन्हें ‘कुकर्म’ कहा गया है।

इसके विपरीत, परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में बने रहने के प्रतिफल और आशीषें हैं, जैसा कि हम आगे के लेखों में देखेंगे।   

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Always Obedient to God’s Word

Obedience to God’s Word – 1

 

We had begun this series on leading a Blessed and Successful life based on David’s instructions to his son Solomon recorded in 1 Kings 2:2-4. In this passage David instructs Solomon that to remain victorious, he must remain totally trusting, obedient and dependent upon God, and to make God his security. For this to happen, he must do the following 4 things:

1.   To "be strong and prove yourself a man." (1Ki 2:2).

2.   To "keep the charge of the Lord God", i.e. to be a good Steward of whatever God has given to him (1Ki 2:3a).

3.   To be obedient to the Word of God, in all things written in it. (1Ki 2:3b).

4.   To be careful, taking heed, to remain sincere and committed to the Lord always (1Ki 2:4b).

The instructions that were for Solomon for living a successful and blessed life, today, the same 4 instructions apply to every Christian Believer also. Only by obeying them, can they be victorious and successful in their Christian lives and be partakers of God's blessings. Particularly now, in these end times, when we are facing the relentless attacks of satanic forces in various ways and in every aspect of our lives. Therefore, we have used these 4 principles to learn about living a committed Christian life that glorifies God, and brings blessings to our lives. So far, we have seen and learnt from the first two instructions that David gave to Solomon. In learning from the second instruction on stewardship, we have seen that the Christian Believer is accountable to God for all that God has given him. In this context we have seen in considerable detail about what God has given to every Believer - God’s Word, God’s Holy Spirit, God’s Church and Fellowship with other Believers, and Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Believer’s stewardship of these four. Today we will begin to see about the third of the four instructions given above – Obedience to God and His Word. Since we have already seen many things and details about God’s Word, we will not repeat them, but will only build upon them, as relevant to this instruction.

As we know, the first sin, the act that gave sin entry into the world and creation, as is recorded in Genesis 3:1-6, was disobedience of God’s Word, i.e., God’s instructions, by Eve, and then by Adam. As we see from this passage from Genesis, Satan beguiled Eve into committing this sin by inducing her to use her intellect and reasoning, and fell for doing that which seemed to be logical and appealing to her, instead of remaining steadfast towards what God had said. In her own assessment, eating the forbidden fruit was a better choice than living by God’s instructions of not eating it; so she disobeyed God, and ended up committing sin. Of the many ways that sin has been defined in the Bible, the basic definition is that sin is ‘lawlessness’ or ‘transgression of the law’ (1 John 3:4). Here ‘law’ means not just the Mosaic Law, but all of God’s instructions to mankind. Any disobedience, any breach of carrying out what God has instructed, is transgression of God’s law, and is ‘sin.’ God’s justice demands that sin either be atoned for, or be judged. It cannot be glossed over, taken lightly and condoned. This principle is evident from the time of Adam and Eve; they sinned, they were given opportunity to confess and seek forgiveness, but instead of that, they tried to pass away the blame and justify themselves, and had to bear the penalty – being cast out of the Garden of Eden and brought under death.

Even if the transgression is done under a compulsion, or some fear, or even for worshipping God, being reverential towards God, God does not accept it; it is still sin and abhorrent to God. We see this well illustrated in the Old Testament through the example of the first king of Israel – Saul, and from the life and behavior of the Israelites. We see from 1 Samuel 13:1-14, that since Samuel delayed coming, Saul felt compelled to offer the sacrifices himself – something which Samuel was to do. The result was that he was severely reprimanded by Samuel for taking matters into his own hands and doing what seemed right to him, instead of following the instructions; and he was warned that this disobedience will cost him his kingdom. But Saul did not learn his lesson, he took disobeying God casually. We see from 1 Samuel 15:1-23, that out of fear of men – his own people, he did not completely annihilate the livestock of the Amalekites as he had been instructed to do, and also spared the life of the Amalekite King Agag. Saul tried to justify his disobedience by saying that the best of the animals had been kept to sacrifice to God, but that did not help, and God rejected Saul as being king of Israel.

Similarly, the history of Israel, since the time of their deliverance from Egypt, throughout the Old Testament, even carrying on into the New Testament times was of recurring disobedience to God. Every time they disobeyed, they suffered severe consequences, promised to stay faithful and obedient to the Lord, then after some time they would slip back into disobeying God and living life the way they wanted to live, and once again suffer the consequences of their disobedience.

Similarly, in the New Testament, a classical example of doing things not in obedience to God but by according to own desires, and this getting rejected by God is in Matthew 7:21-23, where even the preaching and miraculous works done in the name of the Lord, but not in obedience to God have been rejected and called “lawlessness.”

On the other hand, obedience to God has its blessings and rewards, as we will see in the next article.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    भण्डारी होने की इस श्रृंखला में, हम अध्ययन कर रहे थे कि प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे प्रदान की गई हर एक बात का भण्डारी है और उसके लिए परमेश्वर को जवाबदेह है। हमने भण्डारी होने के इस अध्ययन का आरम्भ भण्डारीपन से सम्बन्धित विभिन्न पक्षों को सीखने के साथ किया था, और फिर उन चार बातों के भण्डारी होने पर आए थे जो परमेश्वर ने प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को प्रदान की हैं। परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई ये चार बातें हैं; उसका वचन, उसका पवित्र आत्मा; उसकी कलीसिया का अंग होना तथा अन्य मसीही विश्वासियों के साथ सहभागिता रखना; और पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा दिया गया कोई न कोई वरदान। इन चार विषयों से सम्बन्धित मसीही विश्वासी के भण्डारीपन का अध्ययन करते हुए हमने इन से सम्बन्धित कई व्यावहारिक महत्व की बातों के बारे विचार किया है। और इनमें से कुछ ऐसी बातें भी हैं जिन पर बहुधा कोई विशेष ध्यान नहीं दिया जाता है और न ही कलीसियाओं में इनके बारे में सिखाया जाता है। किन्तु इनके बारे में जो गलत धारणाएं और गलत शिक्षाएँ प्रचलित हैं, वे मसीहियत में, और मसीहियत के बारे में बहुत सी समस्याओं का प्रमुख कारण हैं। यह अध्ययन करते हुए हमने यह भी देखा है कि कैसे बाइबल के प्रत्येक पद, या वाक्यांश, या शब्द का अध्ययन हमेशा उसके संदर्भ में ही करना चाहिए, और साथ ही सदा ही उस से सम्बन्धित बाइबल के अन्य खण्डों का भी ध्यान रखना चाहिए, तब ही हम परमेश्वर के वचन की गलत व्याख्या करने और वचन में विरोधाभास न होते हुए भी, कृत्रिम विरोधाभास को उत्पन्न कर देने से बचे रह सकते हैं।

    पिछले कुछ समय से हम मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की भूमिका, उनके द्वारा दिए गए वरदानों के, और उन वरदानों के उपयोग, तथा पवित्र आत्मा और आत्मिक वरदानों के साथ जुड़ी अनेकों भ्रांतियों के बारे में परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से देखते आ रहे हैं। हम यह सीखते आ रहे हैं कि उन गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में वचन में वास्तव में दी गई सही बातें क्या हैं, वचन की उन वास्तविक बातों के सही अभिप्राय क्या हैं। हमने यह भी देखा है कि उन बातों को उनके संदर्भ में, उनके लिखे जाने के समय के उनके आरम्भिक पाठकों या श्रोताओं के लिए उन बातों के अर्थ; तब, मूल भाषा में प्रयोग किए गए शब्दों के शब्दार्थ, और वचन में उन से संबंधित अन्य शिक्षाओं एवं बातों को उनके साथ मिलाकर, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के अगुवाई में किए गए अध्ययन से ये गलत शिक्षाएं पहचानी जा सकती हैं, और इनसे बचा जा सकता है, बाहर निकला जा सकता है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों को, उनके जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की भूमिका और कार्य के बारे में कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षाएं दी हैं, जैसा कि हम यूहन्ना 14 और 16 अध्याय में देखते हैं। मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन और सेवकाई में पवित्र आत्मा और आत्मिक वरदानों के संदर्भ में प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए इन शिक्षाओं को जानना और समझना, और फिर इनके अनुसार लोगों द्वारा दी जा रही शिक्षाओं का आँकलन करना बहुत आवश्यक है, क्योंकि ये शिक्षाएं प्रभु ने इसी उद्देश्य से अपने शिष्यों को दी थीं।

    प्रभु यीशु ने शिष्यों से कहा, “मैं अब से तुम्हारे साथ और बहुत बातें न करूंगा, क्योंकि इस संसार का सरदार आता है, और मुझ में उसका कुछ नहीं” (यूहन्ना 14:30)। प्रभु जानता था कि उनके स्वर्गारोहण के पश्चात, उनके कार्य को बिगाड़ने और शिष्यों द्वारा सुसमाचार की सेवकाई को बाधित या निष्फल करने के लिए शैतान उन शिष्यों पर और उनकी सेवकाई पर हमला करेगा। क्योंकि शैतान एक बहुत प्रबल शत्रु है, वह अपनी अनेकों युक्तियों तथा धार्मिक लगने और सही प्रतीत होने वाली बातों एवं व्यवहार के द्वारा प्रभु के शिष्यों और सेवकाई के कार्यों में बाधा डालेगा (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3, 13-15)। इसी लिए शिष्यों की सहायता के लिए प्रभु ने अपने पवित्र आत्मा को उनमें और उनके साथ हमेशा बने रहने के लिए भेजा। हम देख चुके हैं कि जैसे ही कोई व्यक्ति पापों से पश्चाताप करके, उनके लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा माँगता है, प्रभु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करता है और अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित कर देता है, उसी पल से तुरंत ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उसके जीवन में आकर, उसके मसीही जीवन और सेवकाई में उसका सहायक और मार्गदर्शक होने के लिए, उसके अन्दर सर्वदा के लिए निवास करने लगता है (यूहन्ना 14:16-17; 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19)। साथ ही परमेश्वर पिता ने प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के करने के लिए कोई न कोई भले कार्य पहले से निर्धारित किए हैं (इफिसियों 2:10)। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, जो भी सेवकाई उस व्यक्ति के लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की हुई है, उसे भली-भांति निभाने के लिए उस व्यक्ति को उपयुक्त आत्मिक वरदान भी प्रदान करता है, तथा उन वरदानों का उपयोग करना सिखाता है। प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास करने वालों की आशीष और आत्मिक जीवन में उन्नति, उसके द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई को ठीक से करने में ही है; इसी उद्देश्य से परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उसके अन्दर रहता है, उसकी सहायता करता है।

    परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपनी सम्पूर्णता में तथा अपनी पूर्ण सामर्थ्य के साथ प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी में उसके उद्धार पाने और परमेश्वर की सन्तान बन जाने (यूहन्ना 1:12-13) के क्षण से ही विद्यमान है। किन्तु जब तक वह विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा के कहे के अनुसार न करे, उसके चलाए न चले (गलातियों 5:16, 18, 26), तो फिर उसके जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति और सामर्थ्य कैसे प्रकट होगी? अदन की वाटिका में पहला पाप करवाने के लिए शैतान ने अपनी जिस युक्ति का प्रयोग किया था, उसे ही आज भी वह उतनी ही कारगर रीति से प्रयोग करता है। उसकी यह युक्ति है व्यक्ति के मन और विचारों को किसी ऐसी बात की ओर ले जाना जो परमेश्वर ने उसे नहीं दी है, उसे भरमाना कि कैसे परमेश्वर ने उसे, उसके लिए लाभकारी प्रतीत होने वाली किसी बात से वंचित रखा है, किन्तु फिर भी वह कितनी सरलता से उसे प्राप्त कर सकता है। इस प्रकार से परमेश्वर के वचन पर संदेह उत्पन्न करके, उसके विरुद्ध मन में प्रश्न उठाकर, शैतान मनुष्य को अपनी दृष्टि और समझ के अनुसार अच्छी, लुभावनी, और मन-भावनी प्रतीत होने वाली बात को ही सही मानने, और परमेश्वर के वचन के विरुद्ध, किन्तु अपनी ही दृष्टि और समझ में सही बात का पालन करने में डालकर, परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करवा देता है। इसी युक्ति के अन्तर्गत शैतान ने परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, उनके कार्य, और उनके द्वारा दिए जाने वाले आत्मिक वरदानों के बारे में बहुत सी गलत शिक्षाएं बहुत सी धार्मिक और लुभावनी लगने वाली बातें, मसीही या ईसाई कहलाए जाने वाले लोगों में फैला रखी हैं, यहाँ तक कि अनेकों वास्तविक मसीही विश्वासियों को भी उन बातों के भ्रम में फंसा रखा है। बाइबल से असंगत ये बातें और शिक्षाएँ ऊपरी तौर से और पहली नजर में बहुत धार्मिक, भक्ति और श्रद्धापूर्ण, आकर्षक, और लाभकारी प्रतीत होती हैं; किन्तु जब व्यक्ति उन्हें गहराई से जाँचता है, तब उनके घातक और विनाशकारी तात्पर्य एवं प्रभाव पता लगते हैं।

    जब तक मसीही विश्वासी उन गलत शिक्षाओं से बाहर आकर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता से वचन की सच्चाई और खराई को समझकर, उसका पालन करना आरंभ नहीं करेगा, वह शैतान द्वारा खड़े किए गए एक काल्पनिक “मसीही” विश्वास तथा गढ़ी हुई धार्मिकता की चकाचौंध, आकर्षण, शारीरिक उन्माद और लुभावने अनुभव उत्पन्न करने वाली बातों में, तथा उसके अनुसार किए गए कार्यों के धोखे में फंसा रहेगा। ये बातें चाहे कुछ समय के लिये शरीर को संतुष्टि प्रदान कर दें, किन्तु कोई भी आत्मिक लाभ या आत्मा के फल उत्पन्न नहीं करती हैं। अन्ततः जब ऐसे “मसीही विश्वासियों” की आँख खुलेगी, और वे सच्चाई को जानेंगे, पहचानेंगे, तब तक बहुत देर हो चुकी होगी, और उन पाँच मूर्ख कुँवारियों के समान उनके वापस परमेश्वर के पास लौटने के द्वारा हमेशा के लिए बंद हो चुके होंगे। एक बहुत साधारण और सीधी सी बात है, जो कुछ वचन में नहीं दिया गया है, वचन के अनुसार नहीं है, जो कुछ भी वचन के बाहर से है, जो कुछ भी वचन में जोड़ कर या उसमें से घटा कर बताया और सिखाया जा रहा है, वह सत्य नहीं है, शैतान की ओर से है, और कदापि उसका पालन नहीं करना है - वह चाहे मानवीय बुद्धि और तर्क के अनुसार कितना भी ठीक, आकर्षक, धार्मिक, और उचित क्यों न लगे; चाहे कितने भी और कैसे भी लोग उसके पक्ष में क्यों न बोलें – जो भी परमेश्वर के वचन में नहीं है, वह परमेश्वर की ओर से नहीं है।

    यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो अभी समय रहते 2 कुरिन्थियों 13:5 के अनुसार अपने आप को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप सही विश्वास में हैं कि नहीं। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा, परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के अनुसार चलाए ही चलें, अन्य हर बात से बाहर हो जाएं और बाहर बने रहें। चाहे ऐसा करने के लिए कैसी भी कीमत क्यों न चुकानी पड़े, क्योंकि आज की थोड़ी सी हानि, कल की अनन्त आशीष और भलाई बन जाएगी। किन्तु यदि आप सच्चाई के लिए आज यह थोड़ी सी हानि उठाने, यह कीमत चुकाने के लिए तैयार नहीं होंगे, तो कल यह आपके लिए अनन्त हानि और पीड़ा का कारण बन जाएगी। इसलिए सही निर्णय लेकर, और उसके अनुसार उचित कार्य कर लें।

Stewardship of the Holy Spirit – Conclusion

 

    In this series on stewardship, we have been studying about every Born-Again Christian Believer being a steward of everything that God has given him, and being accountable to God for them all. We had started off this study on stewardship by studying various aspects of being a steward, and then come to considering about the four things that God has given to each and every Believer, namely, His Word; His Holy Spirit; membership of His Church and Fellowship with other Christian Believers; and Some Gift of the Holy Spirit. While considering the Believer’s stewardship of these four topics, we have considered many things of practical importance related to them. And, some of the things we have seen, are often not paid attention to, or not taught in the Churches; but misconceptions and wrong teachings about them are a major cause of problems in and about Christianity. While doing so, we have also seen how to always study each verse or phrase or word in its context, and to always also keep in mind the other related Bible passages to avoid misinterpretation, and despite there being no contradictions in God’s Word, creating some artificial contradictions where none exists.

    For the past some time we have been studying the stewardship of God the Holy Spirit in the life and ministry of a Born-Again Christian Believer, about the Spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit, and about utilizing those gifts through Him. We have been learning from God’s Word the Bible about many false teachings and wrong doctrines commonly preached and taught about God the Holy Spirit, His role and working, and His gifts to the Believers. We saw from the Bible what the actual Biblical teachings are; and when they are seen and examined properly, what their actual implications are and what they actually mean. And, how when through the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit the misinterpreted and misused verses and their related teachings are seen in their actual context, and along with the meanings of the words used in the original language that they were written in, how their actual meaning becomes clear. How their misinterpretation and misuse can be identified, and we can come out of the false teachings and wrong doctrines preached about them. The Lord Jesus during His life and ministry on earth, taught His disciples about the Holy Spirit and His role, as we see in John chapters 14 and 16. It is essential for every Christian Believer to not only learn and understand the role of God the Holy Spirit and His Spiritual gifts in his own life and ministry, but to also teach them to others, to keep others safe from false teachings and wrong doctrines, because that is why the Lord Jesus gave the teachings to His disciples.

    Lord Jesus said to His disciples, “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me” (John 14:30). The Lord knew that after His ascension to heaven, Satan, to corrupt and spoil His work and to obstruct the gospel ministry of His disciples, to render it ineffective and infructuous, will attack His disciples. Since Satan is a very powerful enemy, and will attack through many devious devices, bring in many seemingly correct, religious, pious, reverential, but actually corrupted, misinterpreted and beguiling teachings from God’s Word (2 Corinthians 11:3, 13-15). Therefore, to help and guide the disciples in the right ways and correct understandings, the Lord sent His Holy Spirit to live in them and be with them at all times. We have seen that the moment a person repents of his sins, asks forgiveness for them from the Lord Jesus, accepts the Lord Jesus as his savior, and surrenders his life to Him to live in obedience to His Word, from that very moment, God the Holy Spirit comes into his life and starts residing in him; to always be with him, to be his guide and helper in his Christian life and ministry (John 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19). For every Born-Again child of God, God has determined some work(s) beforehand (Ephesians 2:10). God the Holy Spirit gives the Christian Believers the appropriate Spiritual gifts to help them properly and worthily fulfil their God given work, and also teaches them how to utilize those gifts. The blessings and growth in spiritual life of every Christian Believer are through worthily fulfilling his God assigned responsibilities; and God the Holy Spirit resides in him to help him in this.

    God the Holy Spirit in His full form and strength is present in every Christian Believer from the moment he is saved and becomes a child of God (John 1:12-13). But unless and until a Christian Believer does as the Holy Spirit tells him to do, is submitted and obedient to Him (Galatians 5:16, 18, 26), how can the Holy Spirit work in his life, manifest His power through him? The trick Satan played in the Garden of Eden to have the first sin committed, he still uses it just as readily and effectively, as then. This trick of his is to deviate a person’s mind and thoughts into what God has not given him; and then make him feel how God has held back something seemingly good and beneficial from him, and how easily it can acquired. Thereby Satan creates doubts in man’s heart about God and His Word, gets man to trust in his own ability to think and understand about things; makes those things appear good, attractive, desirable, and necessary; and entices him to disobey God, sin against God. Using this same devious device, Satan has spread many false teachings and wrong doctrines about God the Holy Spirit, His role and work, His spiritual gifts amongst “Christians” and “Believers” and has even deceived many actual Christian Believers. These unBiblical Satanic teachings appear to be very religious, reverential, pious, attractive and beneficial externally and initially. But as one examines them in their depth, their damning and deadly implications and effects become apparent.

    Unless and until the Christian Believers come out of these wrong teachings, and learn to study and understand God’s Word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and start obeying Him, instead of following and obeying the contrived denominational and sectarian doctrines and teachings, he will remain caught-up and fallen in a make-believe, a false “Christian” religion and belief and its seemingly reverential appearance, attractiveness, physical frenzy, its enticing and blinding dazzle. These things may gratify the body for some time, but they do not produce any spiritual benefits or fruits of the Spirit. Eventually, when the eyes of such beguiled “Christian Believers” actually open and they get to see the truth, it will be too late for them; like the five foolish virgins, the doors to return to the Lord would have been closed forever for them. There is a very simple and straightforward principle for examining and assessing spiritual things - anything not already given in God’s Word the Bible, anything that is not consistent with the Biblical teachings, anything that is extraneous to what is already written in the Bible, anything that is being taught by adding to or taking away from the teachings of the Bible – none of it is from God and is not to be followed or trusted - no matter how persuasive, logical, correct, attractive, religious, pious, and appropriate it may appear, and no matter how many people, of whatever status and importance may speak in its favor - anything not in already stated in the Word of God is not from God!

    If you are a Christian Believer, then while you still have the time and opportunity, in accordance with 2 Corinthians 13:5, examine yourself and see if you are in the correct Christian Faith; or whether you are following some contrived teachings of men. Only follow the Biblical teachings under the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, get and stay out of everything else; no matter what price you may have to pay for it. Because a small loss, in any form or manner, suffered today, will bring indescribable and manifold eternal blessings and benefits. But if you are not ready to suffer this small loss today, then it can become a cause for eternal damnation and torment for you tomorrow. Therefore, take the right decision and accordingly take the right steps for your life.

    In the next article we will consider a new topic, the third in our list from 1 Kings 2:2-4, i.e., To be obedient to the Word of God, in all things written in it. (1Ki 2:3b).

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर को हिसाब देना होगा कि उसने उसे परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपे गए प्रावधानों और विशेषाधिकारों का उपयोग कैसे किया, जिन में उसकी परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित सेवकाई के लिये पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा दिये गये वरदानों का उपयोग करना भी सम्मिलित है। इसीलिए, परमेश्वर द्वारा विश्वासियों को दिए गए सहायक, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने, रोमियों 12 अध्याय में, इन वरदानों के उचित रीति से उपयोग करने, और ऐसा करने के लिए तैयारी करने के निर्देश भी दिए हैं। इस तैयारी के बारे में, इस अध्याय के पहले पाँच पदों से हमने देखा है कि विश्वासी परमेश्वर के प्रति पूर्णतः समर्पित होकर तथा उसका और उसके वचन का पूर्णतः आज्ञाकारी होकर, और अपने आप का स्वयं-आँकलन करने वाला बनकर ही वरदानों का उचित उपयोग कर सकता है। इसके बाद, फिर पद 6-8 में पवित्र आत्मा इन वरदानों के योग्य रीति से उपयोग करने के बारे में कुछ सिद्धान्त सिखाता है। कृपया ध्यान कीजिए कि ये सभी सिद्धान्त सभी वरदानों पर समान रीति से लागू हैं, वरदानों के भिन्नता के कारण सिद्धांतों में कोई भिन्नता नहीं है। और जैसा कि हम पिछले लेखों में देख चुके हैं,परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में, उसके द्वारा दी गई सभी सेवकाइयाँ, और उन से सम्बन्धित पवित्र आत्मा के वरदान, सभी एक ही और समान स्तर के हैं। परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में किसी भी सेवकाई का और उससे सम्बन्धित वरदान का बड़ा या छोटा होना, या अधिक अथवा कम महत्वपूर्ण होने, जैसी कोई भिन्नता नहीं है। 

    पिछले लेख में हमने वरदानों उपयोगिता के बारे में तीन बातें देखीं थीं, और आज हम दो बातें और देखेंगे।

• प्रत्येक विश्वासी को परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई को ज़िम्मेदारी और वफादारी से निभाना है। इन तीन पदों में पवित्र आत्मा पौलुस द्वारा मसीही विश्वासियों को लिखवा रहा है कि जिसे जो सेवकाई सौंपी गई है, उसे उसी सेवकाई को अपनी भरसक सामर्थ्य के अनुसार करना है। पूरे वचन में कहीं कोई उदाहरण नहीं है कि परमेश्वर के किसी प्रेरित अथवा सेवक ने उसके लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित सेवकाई के बदले कोई अन्य सेवकाई माँगी अथवा प्राप्त की हो; परमेश्वर ने जैसा उनसे कहा, उन्होंने वैसा ही किया। कुछ लोगों ने, जैसे कि योना नबी ने, और आरंभ में मूसा ने और यिर्मयाह ने अपनी सेवकाई को लेकर अप्रसन्नता अवश्य व्यक्त की, उससे बचना चाहा, किन्तु बच कोई नहीं सका; अन्ततः उन्हें जाकर वही करना पड़ा जो परमेश्वर ने उनके लिए ठहराया था। साथ ही, कोई भी परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई ज़िम्मेदारी से, यह बहाना बना कर कि “परमेश्वर, मैं यह नहीं कर पा रहा हूँ, इसलिए आप मेरे लिए इसे कर दें,” अपना काम करने से बच नहीं सका है। परमेश्वर जानता है कि कौन क्या कर सकता है और क्या नहीं, और उसने उसी के अनुसार उन्हें ज़िम्मेदारियाँ दी हैं, और सभी को उपयुक्त सँसाधन भी दिए हैं। इसलिए यह कहना कि वे उस कार्य को कर पाने में अक्षम हैं, एक तरह से परमेश्वर को झूठा और छलने वाला कहने के बराबर है।

• साथ ही इन पदों तथा शेष पदों में लिखे गए निर्देश की वाक्य-रचना पर भी ध्यान कीजिए - परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपे गए सभी कार्यों को निरंतर चलते रहने, उन्हें लगातार किए जाते रहने वाले भाव में कहा गया है। कहीं यह नहीं लिखा है, अथवा ऐसा कोई संकेत दिया गया है कि उसके लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की गई सेवकाई समाप्त होने वाली या कुछ समय तक की ही है। अर्थात, जब तक परमेश्वर स्वयं किसी कारण से उस सेवकाई में कोई परिवर्तन न करे, तब तक मसीही सेवक को उसे सौंपे गए कार्य को करते ही चले जाना है। पौलुस जीवन भर सुसमाचार प्रचार में ही लगा रहा। जब उसे बंदी बनाया गया, तो उसने पत्रियाँ लिख कर इस सेवा को किया; जब वह बंदी नहीं था, तो एक से दूसरे स्थान पर जाकर, हर सताव, कठिनाई, दुख, तिरस्कार, उत्पीड़न, आदि को सहते हुए भी, वह अपनी सेवकाई को करता ही रहा। एक के बाद एक अन्य स्थानों पर जाकर सुसमाचार प्रचार के अवसर तलाशता रहा, उन अवसरों का प्रयोग करता रहा। और यही बात अन्य प्रेरितों और सेवकों के जीवनों में भी देखी जाती है। परमेश्वर के पूरे वचन में ऐसा कोई नहीं है जिसे उसकी परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की गई सेवकाई से कभी “सेवा-निवृत्ति (retirement)” मिली हो। उनका देहांत ही उनकी सेवकाई से सेवा-निवृत्ति थी; और जब तक वे पृथ्वी पर रहे, परमेश्वर उन्हें सामर्थ्य, बुद्धि और बल देता रहा कि वे अपने कार्य को करते रहें, परमेश्वर के लिए उपयोगी बने रहें।

    यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप अपनी निर्धारित सेवकाई को पहचानें, और अपने आप को तैयार कर के उस सेवकाई को परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों की सहायता से पूरा करें। जब तक परमेश्वर आपको किसी अन्य कार्य के लिए न कहे, जो उसने सौंपा है, उसे ही करते रहें। औरों की सेवकाइयों को लेकर शैतान के किसी भ्रम या बहकावे में न पड़ें; और न ही पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से इस संबंध में 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:31 के आधार पर गलत शिक्षाएं देने वालों की भ्रामक बातों में, जिनकी चर्चा हम पहले कर चुके हैं, आएं। आप परमेश्वर के प्रति वफादार बने रहिए, और वह आपके प्रति वफादार रहेगा, आपको आपके अनन्त जीवन के लिए सुरक्षित एवं आशीषित रखेगा।

    अगले लेख में हम पवित्र आत्मा, उसके वरदान, और उन वरदानों को उपयोग करने पर हमारी इस श्रृंखला के उपसंहार को देखेंगे।

Utilizing the Gifts of the Holy Spirit – 7

 

    Every Christian Believer will have to give an account to God of how he has utilized the provisions and privileges that God had given to him, including the gifts of the Holy Spirit, given in accordance with his God assigned ministry. Therefore, the Believer’s God given Helper, God the Holy Spirit, in Romans 12, has also given the instructions about preparing to utilize and the utilizing of these gifts in a worthy manner. Regarding this preparation, in the first five verses of this chapter, we have seen that the Believer has to prepare himself by fully submitting to the Lord, being obedient to Him and His Word, and by regularly self-evaluating to improve their spiritual lives. Then, from verses 6-8 the Holy Spirit teaches some principles of worthily utilizing the gifts He gives. Please note that all of these principles are equally applicable to every gift mentioned, there is no differentiation in these principles according to differences of the gifts. And, as we have seen earlier, in God’s eyes, all of His given ministries, and all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for those ministries, are of one and the same status.  For God, there is no differentiation of the ministry or its related gift being greater or lesser, or more important or less important. 

    We saw three things about the utilization of the gifts in the last article, and today we will see two more.

• Every Believer has to faithfully carry out the ministry entrusted to him by God. In these three verses, the Holy Spirit has had it written to the Believers that everyone has to fulfill his assigned ministry as best as he can, to the best of his abilities. There is no example of any Apostle or servant of God having asked for, or received any ministry or Spiritual gift already given to him, anywhere in the Bible; they did what was asked of them by God. What we do find is that some people of God tried not to do what God had asked them to do, like Jonah, and initially Moses and Jeremiah were reluctant; but none could escape or not do what God wanted them to do. Whether willingly, or unwillingly, eventually everyone had to do what God had asked them to do. Moreover, none could ever escape his God given responsibilities through the excuse, “God, I am unable to do it; so please do it for me.” God knows what everyone can do or not do, and has given him the responsibilities accordingly, and also given him the required resources for it. Therefore, to say that they are incapable of doing the work assigned to them, is in a way calling God a liar, a deceiver.

• Also take note of the construction of the sentences in these three and the subsequent verses - everything assigned by God has to be carried out continually. Nowhere has it been written or indicated that the ministry assigned by God was only for a given period of time, or would finish in sometime. In other words, a Christian minister has to carry on his ministry continually unless and until God Himself does not change it. Paul continued in his gospel outreach ministry throughout his life. Even when he was put in prison, he continued doing the work through writing letters; and when he was free to move around, he went from place to place and preached the gospel, suffering persecution, pain, rejection, problems of various kinds, but never stopping or giving up on his ministry. Rather he was always on the lookout for opportunities to preach the gospel and utilized them. The same thing is also seen in the lives of the other Apostles and ministers of God. In the whole Bible, there is no one who ever “retired” from the ministry God had assigned to him. Their death was their retirement; and while they remained on earth, God continued to give them the strength, ability, and wisdom to carry on in their ministry and be useful for God.

    If you are a Christian Believer, then it is essential for you to recognize your assigned ministry from God, prepare yourself for it, and fulfil it, utilizing the Spiritual gifts given by God. Unless and until God asks you to do something else, carry on in whatever God has asked you to do unceasingly. Do not be misled and fall away from your ministry by any satanic deceptions related to someone else’s ministry and Spiritual gifts. Especially take care to not get carried away by the misinterpretations and misuse of 1 Corinthians 12:31 by those who preach and teach wrong doctrines and false teachings about the Holy Spirit, as we have already seen before. You remain faithful to God, and He too will remain faithful to you, and keep you safe for eternity.

    In the next article we will have the concluding remarks on this series on the Holy Spirit, His gifts, and their utilization.

You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
