पवित्र आत्मा से सीखना – 11

 परमेश्वर के पवित्र आत्मा के मन्दिर होने के नाते, जिस में पवित्र आत्मा उद्धार पाने के क्षण से ही   हमेशा बना रहता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19); उन्हें परमेश्वर के द्वारा दे दिया गया है, प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा का भण्डारी भी है। भण्डारी होने की जिम्मेदारी के निर्वाह के लिये, नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों को मसीही विशास का अपना जीवन जीने और उन्हें परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपी गई सेवकाई का निर्वाह करने के लिए, योग्य रीति से पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता और मार्गदर्शन का उपयोग करना चाहिए। क्योंकि पवित्र आत्मा ‘सत्य का आत्मा’ है (यूहन्ना 14:17; 15:26; 16:13), इसलिये उसके बारे में जैसा बाइबल में नहीं दिया गया है, उस रीति से और उन बातों के लिए उसका उपयोग करना, एक अयोग्य भण्डारी होना है, जो कभी सफल नहीं होगा। इसलिए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को उसके बारे में बाइबल में से सीखना चाहिए। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा को विश्वासियों को उनका शिक्षक होने के लिए भी दिया गया है (यूहन्ना 14:26), कि उन्हें परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल सिखाए। यद्यपि पवित्र आत्मा प्रत्येक विश्वासी को परमेश्वर का वचन सिखाना चाहता है, लेकिन सामान्यतः विश्वासी उस से सीखना नहीं चाहते हैं, बल्कि मनुष्यों से सीखने पर निर्भर रहना चाहते हैं। पिछले लेखों में हमने उन कारणों के देखा है कि क्यों विश्वासी असिद्ध, गलती करने वाले मनुष्यों से सीखने और झूठी शिक्षाओं तथा गलत सिद्धांतों में पड़ने का जोखिम उठाते हैं, बजाए सिद्ध और अचूक परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के।

पिछले लेख में हमने देखना आरंभ किया था कि विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा से कैसे सीख सकता है। हमने 1 पतरस 2:1-2 से देखा था कि इसके लिए जो पहला काम विश्वासी को करना है, वह है अपने हृदय को पवित्र आत्मा के रहने और काम करने के लिए योग्य स्थान बनाना, साँसारिक रवैये और व्यवहार को अपने अन्दर से निकालने के द्वारा। हमने यह भी देखा था कि विश्वासी को स्वयं ही यह काम करना है, न कि इसे पवित्र आत्मा पर डालकर उसे अपने स्थान पर अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी पूरी करने के लिए लगा देने का प्रयास करना है। उनका सहायक और मार्गदर्शक होने के नाते पवित्र आत्मा इस में उनकी सहायता करेगा, उन्हें दिखाएगा, उन्हें सिखाएगा कि यह कैसे करना है, लेकिन उनके स्थान पर उनके लिए कर के नहीं देगा।

फिर जो दूसरा काम करना है, जैसा 1 पतरस 2:1-2 में दिया गया है, विश्वासी को “नये जन्मे हुए बच्‍चों के समान निर्मल आत्मिक दूध की लालसा” करनी है, क्योंकि उसकी बढ़ोतरी इसी पर निर्भर है। पतरस ने यहाँ पर कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बातें कहीं हैं, ऐसी बातें जिन पर विश्वासियों को मनन करना चाहिए, ताकि परमेश्वर से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीख सकें।

पहली बात है कि मसीही विश्वासी में निहित एक स्वाभाविक लालसा होनी चाहिए कि केवल परमेश्वर के वचन का निर्मल आत्मिक दूध ही ग्रहण करे, और कुछ नहीं। मूल यूनानी भाषा में जिस शब्द का उपयोग किया गया, जिसे लालसा अनुवाद किया गया है, उसका अर्थ होता है एक तीव्र लालसा, किसी बात पर हक जता कर उसे अपनाए रखना। पवित्र आत्मा ने यहाँ पर पतरस के द्वारा जो कहा है कि वे चाहे नए जन्मे हुए शिशु ही हैं, किन्तु विश्वासियों के अंदर एक तीव्र लालसा होनी चाहिए, उन्हें पूरे मन से केवल उसी की जो निर्मल आत्मिक दूध ही है, उत्कंठा होनी चाहिए। उन्हें जो कुछ भी ‘परमेश्वर के वचन का दूध’ के नाम पर परोस दिया जाता है, उसे ग्रहण कर लेने और उस से संतुष्ट हो जाने वाला नहीं होना चाहिए। लेकिन उन में एक समझ-बूझ होनी चाहिए, सही और गलत या उचित अथवा अनुचित की पहचान करने की भी चाह होनी चाहिए। अब एक नए नया-जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासी के लिए यह कर पाना असंभव कार्य प्रतीत होता है। वह जिसे परमेश्वर के वचन के बारे में बहुत ही कम पता है, वह यह कैसे समझने पाएगा कि उसे जो दिया जा रहा है वह परमेश्वर के वचन का “निर्मल आत्मिक दूध” है अथवा कुछ और, कोई मिलावट की हुई वस्तु?

यहीं पर पवित्र आत्मा का योग्य भण्डारी होना, अर्थात पवित्र आत्मा से सही सहायता और मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त करना आ जाता है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपने पहाड़ी उपदेश में, मत्ती 7:7 में कहा है, “मांगो, तो तुम्हें दिया जाएगा; ढूंढ़ो, तो तुम पाओगे; खटखटाओ, तो तुम्हारे लिये खोला जाएगा।” प्रभु ने यह बात अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के आरंभिक चरण में अपने उन अनुयायियों से कही थी जिन्होंने हाल ही में प्रभु के पीछे चलना आरम्भ किया था, और सामान्यतः अनपढ़, तथा साधारण लोग थे। प्रभु उन्हें सिखा रहा था कि परमेश्वर में उनका विश्वास और परमेश्वर के प्रावधान, जब साथ मिल जाएंगे, तो उनके लिए अद्भुत काम करेंगे; किन्तु उन्हें परमेश्वर से माँगने के लिए साहस करना पड़ेगा। विश्वासी बहुधा इस पद को तब माँगते और उपयोग करते हैं जब उन्हें परमेश्वर से कुछ भौतिक वस्तुएँ चाहिए होती हैं। किन्तु कितने हैं जो इस पद को परमेश्वर से उसका वचन सीखने के लिए माँगते और उपयोग करते हैं? कितने हैं जो जब वे परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ या अध्ययन कर रहे होते हैं, या किसी भी प्रचारक अथवा शिक्षक से कोई संदेश को सुन रहे होते हैं तब परमेश्वर से यह माँगते हैं कि उन्हें झूठी शिक्षाओं, गलत सिद्धान्तों, और मनुष्यों की बुद्धि तथा समझ की बातों से बचाए रखे?

विश्वासी द्वारा सच्चे मन से इस लालसा को व्यक्त करना, और परमेश्वर से सही-गलत की पहचान करने और बहकाए जाने से बचाए रखने के लिए उसकी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन माँगने से, उनका दृष्टिकोण मौलिक रूप से बदल जाएगा, और उन में परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने के लिए सही-गलत की समझ-बूझ आ जाएगी। साथ ही उन्हें इसके साथ परमेश्वर के वचन के आधार पर बातों को जाँचने-परखने वाला (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21) भी बनना चाहिए, और किसी से भी कुछ भी ग्रहण कर लेने से पहले बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान करना चाहिए (प्रेरितों 17:11)। बेरिया के ये विश्वासी परमेश्वर के वचन के कोई बहुत बड़े विद्वान नहीं थे। ध्यान कीजिए, यह पहली कलीसिया का समय था, नए नियम की सभी पुस्तकें और पत्रियाँ अभी लिखे भी नहीं गए थे, मसीही शिक्षाएँ मुख्यतः मौखिक ही होती थीं, लेकिन फिर भी बेरिया के विश्वासियों ने पवित्र शास्त्र से प्रतिदिन उसे जाँच-परख कर देखा, जो पौलुस उन्हें मसीह के बारे में पवित्र शास्त्र में से बता रहा था, उसकी पुष्टि की, कि पौलुस सही कह रहा था या नहीं।

यही वह लालसा, वह उत्कंठा है जिसे मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ते, अध्ययन करते, या सुनते समय दिखानी चाहिए; कि सही और गलत की पहचान करने में उनकी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन किया जाए; कि वे केवल सत्य ही का पालन करें, किसी भी असती का नहीं। जो लोग सच्चे मन से यह माँगते हैं, सार्थक रीति से अपने जीवन में लागू करते हैं, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें सब सत्य का मार्ग बताएगा (यूहन्ना 16:13)। और इस तरह से उन्हें सभी झूठी शिक्षाओं, गलत सिद्धान्तों, और उनके द्वारा होने वाली हानि से बचाए रखेगा। 

हम अगले लेख में यहीं से आगे देखना आरंभ करेंगे, तथा 1 पतरस 2:1-2 में पवित्र आत्मा से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने से संबंधित लिखी अन्य बातों को देखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Learning From the Holy Spirit – 11

 

As the Temples of God’s Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19), who is given to them at the very moment of their salvation by God, to reside in them always, since the moment of their salvation, the Born-Again Christian Believers are also the stewards of God’s Holy Spirit. To be worthy stewards of the Holy Spirit given to them, the Believers must worthily utilize His help and guidance to live their Christian lives and fulfil their God assigned ministry. Since the Holy Spirit is the ‘Spirit of Truth’ (John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13), therefore trying to use the Holy Spirit in ways and for things not given about Him in the Bible, is being an unworthy steward, and will never succeed. Therefore, every Christian Believer must learn about Him from the Bible. God the Holy Spirit has also been given to be the Teacher of Christian Believers (John 14:26), to teach God’s Word the Bible to them. Though the Holy Spirit wants to teach every Believer, but usually the Believers do not want to learn from Him, wanting to rely on learning from man instead. In the previous articles we have seen the reasons for Believers choosing to learn from imperfect, fallible men and get into erroneous teachings and false doctrines, rather than learning from the perfect infallible God the Holy Spirit.

In the last article we had started to see how a Believer can learn from the Holy Spirit. We had seen from 1 Peter 2:1-2, that the first thing that the Believer must do is prepare one’s heart to be a proper place for the Holy Spirit to live and work, by getting rid of the worldly attitude and behavior. We had also seen that the Believer has to do this himself, and not try to put it upon the Holy Spirit to be their substitute and fulfil their responsibility for them. The Holy Spirit as their helper and guide will help them, show them, teach them how to do this, but will not do it for them.

Then, the second thing, as given in 1 Peter 2:1-2 is that the Believer needs to “desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” because his growth is dependent upon this. In other words, he should desire to have a discernment, and the attitude of accepting only what is pure from God’s Word. Peter says some very important things here, things that the Believers need to ponder over, to learn God’s Word from God.

Firstly, within the Christian Believer there must be an inherent natural desire for receiving only the pure milk of the Word of God, and nothing else. The word used in the original Greek language, and translated as ‘desire’ means to have an intense craving, a possessiveness for something. What the Holy Spirit through Peter has stated here is that even as “newborn babes,” the Believers are to intensely crave, to sincerely desire only that which actually is the pure milk. They should not be satisfied with anything and everything served to them as being the ‘milk of the Word of God.’ Rather, they must have an understanding, a discernment between right and wrong, between correct and incorrect. Now, for a newly Born-Again Christian Believer, this seems to be an impossible task. One who hardly knows anything about God’s Word, how will he be able to figure out whether or not he is being given the “the pure milk of the word” or something adulterated?

This is where the stewardship of the Holy Spirit i.e., the proper utilization of the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit comes into play. The Lord Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount, in Matthew 7:7 has said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” The Lord has made this statement at the beginning of His earthly ministry, to disciples who had recently started to follow Him, and were generally the common uneducated, simple folks. The Lord was teaching them that their faith in God and His providence when joined together, will work wonders for them; but they have to be bold enough to ask God. The Believers often use and claim this verse when asking for temporal things from God. But how often and how many ask and claim this verse for learning God’s Word from God? How many ask God to keep them safe from wrong doctrines, false teachings, things of man’s wisdom and understanding, etc., when reading, or studying God’s Word, or listening to any message from any preacher or teacher?

The sincere expressing of this desire by the Believers, and asking for God’s help and guidance for discernment to not be misled, to be kept safe from anything incorrect, will radically change their perception and bring about a great discernment in their learning of God's Word. They should also supplement this by making it a practice to cross-check from God’s Word (1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:21), before accepting anything from anyone, they should do as the Berean Believers did (Acts 17:11). These Berean Believers were not great scholars of God’s Word. Remember, this was the time of the first Church, the New Testament books and letters had not yet been fully written, Christian teachings were mainly oral, but still the Bereans cross-checked from the Scriptures daily whether what Paul was telling them about Christ from those Scriptures, and verified whether what Paul was saying was correct or not.

This is the craving, the discernment that Christian Believers need to exhibit when studying, listening to, and learning God’s Word; to be helped and guided to discern the correct and nothing incorrect; to follow only the truth, and nothing false. For those who sincerely ask for it and meaningfully apply it, God the Holy Spirit will guide them into all truth (John 16:13). Thereby, keeping them safe from false teachings, wrong doctrines, and from the harm these bring. 

We will carry on from here in the next article, and see the other aspects mentioned in 1 Peter 2:1-2 about learning God’s Word from the Holy Spirit.

Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी, उद्धार पाने के क्षण से ही पवित्र-आत्मा का मन्दिर हो जाता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19), और उस मे, उसके उद्धार पाने के क्षण से ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा निवास करने लगता है। उसे पवित्र आत्मा परमेश्वर के द्वारा दिया जाता है, कि मसीही जीवन को जीने तथा परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई ज़िम्मेदारियों को भली-भाँति निभाने में उसका सहायक, साथी, शिक्षक, और मार्गदर्शक हो। पवित्र आत्मा का एक उद्देश्य है मसीही विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर का वचन, बाइबल को सिखाना (यूहन्ना 14:26)। इसलिये, परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दिए गए पवित्र आत्मा तथा परमेश्वर के वचन के भण्डारी होने के नाते, प्रत्येक विश्वासी को पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में, और परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखना है। यद्यपि लगभग प्रत्येक विश्वासी चाहता है कि ऐसा हो, लेकिन दुःख की बात है कि वास्तव में बहुत ही कम मसीही विश्वासी, उसके लिए आवश्यक प्रयास के द्वारा, इस इच्छा को व्यावहारिक कार्य में परिवर्तित करते हैं। जिस प्रकार से मसीही जीवन एक लापरवाही से जिए जाने वाला आरामदेह जीवन नहीं है वरन उसमें यत्न से प्रयास करने पड़ते हैं; उसी प्रकार से पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने में भी न केवल यत्न से प्रयास, बल्कि साथ ही पवित्र आत्मा के प्रति एक अनुशासन, प्रतिबद्धता, और आज्ञाकारिता की आवश्यकता भी होती है। और क्योंकि अधिकाँश लोग यह करने के लिए तैयार नहीं होते हैं, इसलिए वे मनुष्यों और उनकी रचनाओं से सीखने का सरल मार्ग चुन लेते हैं, यह मानते हुए कि इस से भी बाइबल को उतनी ही अच्छे से सीखा जा सकेगा। क्योंकि कभी भी कोई भी मनुष्य बिना किसी त्रुटि का, अचूक, और सिद्ध नहीं होता है, इसलिए उनकी शिक्षाओं और रचनाओं में भी यही त्रुटियाँ, चूक, और असिद्धता बनी रहती है, और दिखती रहती है। इसलिए जो विश्वासी मनुष्यों तथा उनकी रचनाओं से सीखने पर निर्भर बने रहते हैं, वे अपने आप को झूठी शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धान्तों में फँसने के जोखिम में डाले रहते हैं।

    हमने यूहन्ना 14:26 और यूहन्ना 16:14-15 से देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा के सिखाने का तरीका है कि वह प्रभु के वचनों को विश्वासी को स्मरण करवाता है और उन्हीं वचनों में से लेकर उसे बताता है। इसलिए पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के लिए तीन बातों की आवश्यकता होती है, और तीनों को पूरा करने के लिए विश्वासी की ओर से समय और प्रयास आवश्यक है। ये तीन बातें हैं:

• पहली, विश्वासी के अंदर परमेश्वर के वचन का संग्रह या भण्डार होना चाहिए, जिस में से लेकर पवित्र आत्मा विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखी हुई बातों को याद दिलाएगा, और परिस्थिति के अनुसार उसे उपयुक्त वचन को लेकर बताएगा। इसलिए उसे परमेश्वर का वचन पढ़ते रहने और याद करने में समय बिताना चाहिए।

• दूसरा, विश्वासी को न केवल परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ने के लिए, बल्कि उसका अध्ययन भी करने के लिए उचित समय देना चाहिए। इसके लिए विश्वासी को परमेश्वर तथा उसके वचन को अपने जीवन में प्राथमिक स्थान देने के लिए तैयार रहना चाहिए, और पवित्र आत्मा के निर्देशों का पालन करने के लिए समर्पित एवं आज्ञाकारी भी रहना चाहिए।

• तीसरा, विश्वासियों को उन्हें मनुष्यों से मिली बाइबल से बाहर की शिक्षाओं को, जिन पर वे भरोसा करते आए हैं, पवित्र आत्मा से मिली शिक्षाओं के साथ मिलाना नहीं चाहिए। पवित्र आत्मा से मिलने वाली शिक्षाएँ हमेशा ही परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखे हुए के साथ पूर्णतः सहमत और संगत होंगी; जबकि मनुष्यों की शिक्षाओं में बाइबल के साथ असंगतियों और बाइबल से बाहर की व्याख्याओं को देखा जा सकता है।

    एक बार फिर, अधिकाँश विश्वासी इन तीन आवश्यकताओं को पूरा नहीं करने पाते हैं, और इसलिए पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने नहीं पाते हैं। पिछले कुछ लेखों में हमने इन तीनों बातों को कुछ विस्तार से देखा है। आज से हम वह देखना आरंभ करेंगे जो परमेश्वर का वचन सीखने के लिए विश्वासी को करना चाहिए, एक बार जब वह पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने का निर्णय ले लेता है, प्रतिबद्ध हो जाता है।

    परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने की इच्छा रखने वालों को पहला काम करना है अपने अंदर से साँसारिक रवैये और व्यवहार को निकाल कर परमेश्वर के वचन के ‘निर्मल आत्मिक दूध’ की लालसा रखनी है, “इसलिये सब प्रकार का बैर भाव और छल और कपट और डाह और बदनामी को दूर करके। नये जन्मे हुए बच्‍चों के समान निर्मल आत्मिक दूध की लालसा करो, ताकि उसके द्वारा उद्धार पाने के लिये बढ़ते जाओ” (1पतरस 2:1-2 )। हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:3 से देखा है कि “बैर भाव और छल और कपट और डाह और बदनामी” विश्वासी की अपरिपक्वता, उस के अभी भी बच्चा ही होने के चिह्न हैं। इन बातों का होना यह भी दिखाता है कि वह मसीही विश्वास की आधारभूत बातों, आरंभिक शिक्षाओं (इब्रानियों 6:1-2) से आगे नहीं बढ़ेगा, और उसे कुछ अधिक सिखाया नहीं जा सकता है। इसलिए, अधिक तथा बेहतर सीखने के लिए, विश्वासी को शरीर की इन बातों को अपने में से निकाल बाहर करना होगा।

    ध्यान दीजिए, पतरस यह नहीं लिख रहा है कि “परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करो कि वह इन बातों को तुम्हारे जीवन में से निकाल दे” जैसा कि वे लोग जो बाइबल की बातों की बाइबल से बाहर की व्याख्या करते हैं, कहना और प्रार्थना करना सिखाते हैं। पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में लिखते हुए, पतरस यह करने की ज़िम्मेदारी मसीही विश्वासी पर ही रखता है; उन्हें ही प्रयास कर के इन बातों को निकाल बाहर करना है। 

    पौलुस ने अपने जीवन के उदाहरण से दिखाया कि यह कैसे करना है, “परन्तु मैं अपनी देह को मारता कूटता, और वश में लाता हूं; ऐसा न हो कि औरों को प्रचार कर के, मैं आप ही किसी रीति से निकम्मा ठहरूं” (1कुरिन्थियों 9:27)। पौलुस यहाँ यह नहीं कह रहा है कि वह परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करता है कि वह उसकी देह को वश में लाए; वरन वह स्वयं इसे करता है। पौलुस ने यही बात तीमुथियुस को भी सिखाई, “तौभी परमेश्वर की पड़ी नेव बनी रहती है, और उस पर यह छाप लगी है, कि प्रभु अपनों को पहचानता है; और जो कोई प्रभु का नाम लेता है, वह अधर्म से बचा रहे। बड़े घर में न केवल सोने-चान्दी ही के, पर काठ और मिट्टी के बरतन भी होते हैं; कोई कोई आदर, और कोई कोई अनादर के लिये। यदि कोई अपने आप को इन से शुद्ध करेगा, तो वह आदर का बरतन, और पवित्र ठहरेगा; और स्‍वामी के काम आएगा, और हर भले काम के लिये तैयार होगा” (2 तीमुथियुस 2:19-21)। प्रमुख कर के ज़ोर दी गई बातों पर ध्यान दीजिए – परमेश्वर के वचन की शिक्षा यही है कि स्वयं विश्वासियों को ही यह कार्य करना है। बाइबल में कहीं ऐसा कोई उदाहरण नहीं है जहाँ परमेश्वर ने किसी से उसकी ज़िम्मेदारी को लेकर उसके लिए उसे पूरा कर के दिया है।

    परमेश्वर ने विश्वासियों को यह करने के लिए उपयुक्त सँसाधन दिए हैं, और उन्हें अपना पवित्र आत्मा दिया है कि उनकी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन करे। लेकिन वे अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी को वापस परमेश्वर को पकड़ा कर निश्चिंत होकर नहीं बैठ सकते हैं कि अब परमेश्वर इसे ले लेगा और इसे पूरा कर देगा। यदि परमेश्वर इस प्रकार की प्रार्थनाओं को स्वीकार कर के उन से उनके कार्य को ले ले, तो फिर उसका वचन त्रुटिपूर्ण हो जाएगा – वह कहता कुछ है, और कर के कुछ और ही देता है। साथ ही यह 1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13 की प्रतिज्ञा को झूठा ठहरा देगा, तथा यह अभिप्राय देगा कि परमेश्वर सर्वज्ञानी, सिद्ध, और त्रुटि रहित नहीं है, क्योंकि उसने अपने बच्चे पर कुछ ऐसा आ लेने दिया जो उस बच्चे के सहने की क्षमता से बाहर है, और अब उस बच्चे को परेशानी छुड़ाने के लिए परमेश्वर को स्वयं इस काम को करना पड़ रहा है। इस प्रकार की गलत शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाया गया विश्वासी जितना अधिक समय बाइबल के बाहर की गढ़ी हुई धारणाओं में बना रहेगा, वह अपनी आशीषों की उतनी ही अधिक हानि उठाएगा, और पवित्र आत्मा से उतना ही कम सीखेगा और उन्नति करेगा।

    हम इसके बारे में अगले लेख में ज़ारी रखेंगे और उन्नति करने के लिए परमेश्वर के वचन रूपी निर्मल आत्मिक दूध की लालसा रखने के बारे में सीखेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Learning From the Holy Spirit – 10

 

    Every Born-Again Christian Believer becomes the Temple of the Holy Spirit from the moment of salvation (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19), and has God the Holy Spirit residing in him since the moment of his salvation. The Holy Spirit is given to him by God, to be his Helper, Companion, Teacher, and Guide; to help him live his Christian life and be able to worthily fulfil his God assigned ministry. One of the purposes of the Holy Spirit is to teach the Believer the Word of God, the Bible (John 14:26). Therefore, as stewards of the God given Holy Spirit and of the Word of God, every Believer is to learn about the Holy Spirit and learn the Word of God. Though practically every Believer may desire for this to happen, but, sadly, hardly any Christian Believer actually puts in the requisite efforts to learn from Him and convert the desire into practical reality. Just as Christian life is not an easy-going life of casual living, but requires diligent efforts; similarly, learning from the Holy Spirit not only requires a diligent effort, but also a discipline, commitment, and obedience towards Him. Something, which people usually are unwilling to do. Therefore, they take the easy way out of assuming that they can equally well learn the Bible from men and their works. Since no man is ever inerrant, infallible, and perfect, therefore their teachings and works also carry this same tendency of being error prone, fallible, and imperfect; that keeps becoming evident now and then. Those Believers who rely on learning from men and their works therefore render themselves prone to falling into erroneous teachings and wrong doctrines.

    Earlier, we had seen from John 14:26 and John 16:14-15, the way the Holy Spirit teaches is by bringing the Lord’s Words to remembrance of the Believers, and taking those Words and declaring them to the Believers. Therefore, learning from the Holy Spirit requires three things, and fulfilling these three requires time and effort on the part of the Believer. These three things are:

• First, the Believer should have a ‘stock’ or repository of God’s Word in him, for the Holy Spirit to be able to bring things written in God’s Word to the Believer’s remembrance, to take them up from within him and declare them to him as per the situation. Therefore, he must spend time reading and memorizing God’s Word.

• Second, the Believer’s should give adequate time to not only just read, but also to study God’s Word. For this, the Believer must be committed to give God and His Word the priority in his life, and be surrendered to follow and obey the instructions of the Holy Spirit.

• Third, the Believers should not mix up man’s unBiblical teachings that they have received and have been relying upon, with the teachings given to them by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s teachings will always be completely consistent with what has been written in God’s Word; whereas man’s teachings might have inconsistencies and unBiblical interpretations.

    Once again, most Believers falter on these three requirements, and therefore are unable to learn from the Holy Spirit. In the previous few articles we have considered these three things in some detail. From today, we will start looking at what the Believer needs to do, once he commits himself to learning from the Holy Spirit, and decides to put in the required diligent effort.

    The first thing that those who want to learn from God the Holy Spirit need to do is get rid of their worldly attitude and behavior, and develop a sincere desire for ‘the pure milk of the Word of God’ “Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:1-2). We have seen from 1 Corinthians 3:3 that things like “malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and evil speaking” are all indicators of immaturity, of the Believer still being a child. The presence of these things also shows that he will not progress beyond the basics, i.e., the elementary principles of Christian Faith (Hebrews 6:1-2); hence, not much can be taught to him. Therefore, to learn more and better, the Believer has to take out from within him the tendencies of the flesh.

    Notice that Peter does not say “pray to God to remove these things from your life” as those who preach and teach unBiblical interpretations and applications of Biblical terms say and do. Writing under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Peter puts the responsibility upon the Believers to do this; it is they who are to make efforts to lay these things aside. 

    Paul showed how to do this from his own life, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:27). Paul does not say here that he prays to God to discipline his body; rather it is he who does it. Paul taught the same to Timothy, “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work” (2 Timothy 2:19-21). Take note of the emphasized portions – the teachings from God’s Word are that the Believers must do this themselves. There is no example in the Bible of God ever having taken over from someone to fulfil their responsibility for them.

    God has given Believers the necessary resources for it, and has given the Holy Spirit to help and guide them in doing this. But they cannot hand their responsibility back to God, and be content that now God will take it over and do it for them. If God were to answer such prayers and take over from them, then His Word will become erroneous – He has said one thing, and is willing to do another. It will falsify the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13, and imply that God is not omniscient, perfect, and inerrant, since He has let something beyond His child’s capacity to come upon him, and therefore, now to deliver His child from troubles, God Himself must step in. The longer the misguided Believers carry on in their unBiblical assumptions, the more loss they will suffer of their blessings and the less they will learn and grow through the Holy Spirit.

    We will carry on about this in the next article, and learn about desiring the pure milk of the Word, to grow in our Christian lives.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

मसीही विश्वासी, उद्धार पाने के क्षण से, परमेश्वर के पवित्र आत्मा का मन्दिर हो जाते हैं (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19), और उसी क्षण से पवित्र आत्मा उनमें जीवन भर निवास करने के लिए प्रदान कर दिया जाता है। उन्हें पवित्र आत्मा उनके मसीही जीवन जीने और उन्हें परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपी गई सेवकाई को योग्य रीति से करने में उनका सहायक, साथी, शिक्षक, और मार्गदर्शक होने के लिए दिया गया है। इसलिये उन्हें, उनमें निवास करने वाले पवित्र आत्मा का योग्य भण्डारी होना है। यद्यपि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, उन्हें परमेश्वर का वचन सिखाने के लिए, उन में विद्यमान है, फिर भी अधिकाँश मसीही वचन को सीखने के लिए अन्य मनुष्यों और उनकी रचनाओं की ओर मुड़ जाते हैं। इसका मुख्य कारण है पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के लिए यत्न से प्रयास करने की, उसके प्रति एक अनुशासन, समर्पण, और आज्ञाकारिता की आवश्यकता का होना। और सामान्यतः लोग इस बात को करने के लिए तैयार नहीं होते हैं; इसलिए वे आसान तरीका अपना लेते हैं। लोग यह मान लेते हैं कि वे मनुष्यों और उनकी रचनाओं से भी उतनी ही अच्छी रीति से सीख सकते हैं। 

क्योंकि कोई भी मनुष्य सिद्ध नहीं है, और न ही अचूक है, इसलिए जो मनुष्यों का अनुसरण करने और उन्हीं से सीखने पर अड़े रहते हैं, वे लोग झूठी शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धान्तों में पड़ जाने के बहुत बड़े और वास्तविक जोखिम में बने रहते हैं। क्योंकि सामान्यतः यह सीखना उन शिक्षकों और प्रचारकों के प्रति अन्ध-विश्वास रखते हुए, और परमेश्वर के निर्देशों (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21) की अनदेखी करते हुए होता है। अर्थात्, उन शिक्षाओं को बिना बाइबल से जाँचे-परखे और उनकी पुष्टि किए हुए ही स्वीकार कर लेने और मान लेने के साथ किया जाता है। इस प्रकार की गलत शिक्षाओं का एक सामान्य उदाहरण है लोगों के द्वारा ज़ोर देकर बाइबल के शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का बाइबल से बाहर की रीति से उपयोग करना, अर्थात, ऐसे अर्थों और अभिप्रायों के साथ, जैसे उन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों के लिये बाइबल में कहीं नहीं दिया गया है।

लेकिन एक अन्य बहुत महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य पर भी ध्यान कीजिए, इन ढीठ विश्वासियों के जीवनों में भी, जो स्वयं भी ढिठाई के साथ गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ते हैं तथा औरों को भी उन को मानने और पालन करने के लिए कहते हैं, उन के जीवनों में भी परमेश्वर का प्रेम और अनुग्रह कार्यकारी रहता है। उनकी गलती के बावजूद, बाइबल में उन्हें कभी भी ‘अविश्वासी’ नहीं कहा गया है, और उन से परमेश्वर की सँतान होने का उनका ओहदा कभी वापस नहीं लिया गया है। यद्यपि उन्हें अपरिपक्व, बच्चों के समान, शारीरिक, आदि तो कहा गया है, लेकिन फिर भी उन्हें विश्वासी ही समझा गया है; ऐसे मसीही जिन्हें इन गलतियों से बाहर निकल कर उन्नति करने की आवश्यकता है। परमेश्वर कभी किसी को न छोड़ता है और न त्यागता है (इब्रानियों 13:5)।

हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है कि यदि ये मसीही अपने आप को सुधारने से इनकार करते हैं, और ढीठ बनकर मनुष्यों और मनुष्यों की शिक्षाओं से ही सीखने में बने रहते हैं, तो वे पवित्र आत्मा से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने में अपने लिए गंभीर बाधाएँ खड़ी कर लेते हैं। फिर पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें ‘अन्न’ या ‘ठोस भोजन’ नहीं देने पाता है, क्योंकि वे न तो उसे ग्रहण कर सकते हैं, और न ही पचा सकते हैं। इसलिए वह उन्हें अपरिपक्व, शारीरिक मसीहियों, आत्मिक शिशुओं और बच्चों का ही भोजन, अर्थात ‘दूध’ – आधारभूत आरंभिक शिक्षाएँ ही देता रहता है। ये छः आरंभिक शिक्षाएँ इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई हैं, और पश्चाताप से आरंभ कर के अंतिम न्याय तक की, मसीही जीवन के सम्पूर्ण वर्णक्रम के बारे में हैं। 

इसका निहितार्थ और व्यावहारिक बात है कि जो लोग मनुष्यों और मनुष्यों के कार्यों का अनुसरण करने वाले हैं, और जो लोग परमेश्वर के वचन की शिक्षाओं में अपनी ही बुद्धि के विचार और अपनी ही गढ़ी हुई शिक्षाएँ मिलाते हैं, और फिर अपनी गढ़ी हुई बातों को परमेश्वर के वचन का सत्य कहकर प्रस्तुत करते हैं, तथा औरों से उन शिक्षाओं को स्वीकार करके उनका पालन करने के लिए कहते हैं, उन्हें केवल परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा केवल ‘दूध’ ही दिया जाएगा, और वे औरों को भी दूध परोसने तक ही सीमित रहेंगे। दूसरे शब्दों में, वे लोग जो बाइबल से बाहर की शिक्षाओं के गढ़ने वाले, समर्थक, एवं पालन करने, तथा करवाने वाले होते हैं, उनका सीखना और सिखाना केवल इब्रानियों 6:1-2 के आरंभिक सिद्धान्तों तक ही सीमित रहेगा। जैसा कि प्रेरित पौलुस ने 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:1-3 में कहा है, वे बस शिशुओं और बच्चों के आहार ‘दूध’ ही को ग्रहण कर सकते हैं, और इसलिए उन्हें केवल ‘दूध’ ही दिया जाएगा; कोई अन्न अथवा ठोस वस्तु नहीं।

पहली झलक में यह दावा एक अतिशयोक्ति, एक बढ़ा-चढ़ा कर कही गई बात प्रतीत होती है। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि यह अच्छे से जाना जाता है कि बहुत सारे ऐसे विश्वासी, अगुवे, प्रचारक और शिक्षक हैं जो कि बाइबल की बातों को बाइबल से बाहर की रीति से उपयोग करने, सिखाने, और बढ़ावा देने की गलती में फँसे हुए हैं, उनके अनुयायी भी बहुत हैं, तथा वे बहुत प्रभावी संदेश भी देते हैं। न केवल उनके संदेशों को भली-भाँति स्वीकार किया जाता है, किन्तु बहुधा वे ‘पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में,’ अपने प्रचार और शिक्षाओं में ‘गूढ़ सत्य’ और ‘नए प्रकाशन’ भी प्रस्तुत करते रहते हैं। इस प्रतीत होने वाले विरोधाभास को समझने के लिए हमें इस तथ्य के प्रति जागरूक रहना चाहिए कि नया-जन्म पाए हुए नये विश्वासी, इन आरंभिक शिक्षाओं के बारे में जानते भी नहीं हैं। वे भी जो कुछ समय से मसीही विश्वासी हैं, उनमें से अधिकांश लोग भी इन आरम्भिक शिक्षाओं के प्रति अनभिज्ञ ही रहते हैं। साथ ही इन में से प्रत्येक आरम्भिक शिक्षा के साथ उसके कई अन्य पक्ष भी जुड़े हुए हैं, और इन सम्बन्धित पक्षों को भी वे विश्वासी सामान्यतः, नहीं जानते हैं। 

उदाहरण के लिए, इनमें से पहली शिक्षा, मरे हुए कामों से मन फिराना, को ही लीजिए, और उसके साथ जुड़े हुए परमेश्वर के प्रेम और अनुग्रह के बारे में सोचिए जो वह पाप में मरे हुए जन (इफिसियों 2:1) से करता है, मसीह के उद्धार देने वाले कार्य के बारे में, सुसमाचार और उसकी सामर्थ्य तथा प्रभावों, आदि, के बारे में सोचिए। और इसी प्रकार से प्रत्येक आरम्भिक शिक्षा के साथ भी की अन्य संबंधी बातें जुड़ी हुई हैं। अब, जो इन आरंभिक शिक्षाओं के बारे में जानते भी नहीं हैं, उनके लिए तो गलत शिक्षा में पड़े हुए उस अगुवे, प्रचारक और शिक्षक के द्वारा दी गई प्रत्येक ‘व्याख्या’, प्रत्येक मात्र सतह को खुरचना भर ही, ‘गूढ़ सत्यों’ को प्रकट करने के समान है, उनके लिए तो वे बातें ही परमेश्वर के वचन में से दिखाए गए ‘नया प्रकाशन’ हैं। किन्तु वास्तविकता में ये सभी ‘गूढ़ सत्य,’ और ‘नए प्रकाशन’ गलतियों में पड़े हुए उस अगुवे, प्रचारक और शिक्षक को पवित्र आत्मा से मिलने वाले ‘दूध’ का ही एक भाग हैं, जो उसने स्वयं भी ग्रहण किया तथा औरों को भी परोस दिया है; वे बातें वास्तव में कोई ‘ठोस भोजन’ या अन्न नहीं हैं। ध्यान से ऐसे प्रचारकों और शिक्षकों के प्रचार और शिक्षाओं के बारे में विश्लेषण करके देखिये, उन्हें समझिए। आप पाएंगे कि वे इन छः आरम्भिक शिक्षाओं और उनसे सम्बन्धित बातों की सीमाओं से कभी बाहर जाते ही नहीं हैं। उनके ‘दर्शन’ केवल इस आत्मिक ‘दूध’ तक ही सीमित रहते हैं। वे ‘दूध’ ही पीते हैं, और ‘दूध’ ही पिलाते रहते हैं। 

जैसा कि पिछले लेख में हमने देखा है, यदि कोई इब्रानियों 5:10-12 पर विचार करे तो यह प्रकट हो जाता है कि मसीही विश्वासियों से यह अपेक्षा रखी जाती है कि वे इन आरंभिक शिक्षाओं की बातों से और आगे बढ़ेंगे, जिस से कि शिक्षक बनें, न कि इस आरंभिक स्तर पर ही अटके रहें। ज़रा उन महिमित बातों, प्रकाशनों, और अद्भुत, कल्पना से परे, वर्णन से बाहर स्वर्गीय दर्शनों के बारे में के बारे में सोचिए जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने अपने उन बच्चों के लिए तैयार कर के रखा है (1 कुरिन्थियों 2:9-10; 2 कुरिन्थियों 12:1-4)। और ये बातें उन्हें सीखने को मिलेंगी जो विश्वासी अपनी ढिठाई की बातों में से, तथा असिद्ध, गलती करने वाले मनुष्यों और उनकी रचनाओं से सीखना छोड़कर, अपने आप को पवित्र आत्मा के अधीन ले आएँगे, और उस से, जो वचन सिखाने के लिए उन्हें दिया गया है, अर्थात् पवित्र आत्मा से ही परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखेंगे। हम इस की एक झलक पौलुस के अद्भुत दर्शनों (2 कुरिन्थियों 12:1-7) में देखते हैं, जो मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करने वाला नहीं (गलातियों 1:10) बल्कि परमेश्वर ही से सीखने के लिये प्रतिबद्ध था। लेकिन जो असिद्ध, गलती करने वाले मनुष्यों और उनकी रचनाओं से ही सीखने की ज़िद्द पर अड़े रहते हैं, वे यह अपेक्षा क्यों रखें कि पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें कुछ सिखाएगा, जब वे उसकी अधीनता में आने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं; और न ही वे यत्न से प्रयास कर के उस से सीखने, उसकी बात स्वीकार करने, और उसके निर्देशों का पालन करने, उन्हें अपने जीवन में लागू करने के लिए तैयार हैं।

साथ ही, जैसा कि पवित्र आत्मा ने बाइबल में लिखवाया है, परमेश्वर के वचन में कुछ भी जोड़ने, या उस में से कुछ हटाने की अनुमति किसी को भी नहीं है (व्यवस्थाविवरण 4:2; नीतिवचन 30:6; प्रकाशितवाक्य 22:18-19)। इसलिए, सत्य का आत्मा होने के नाते, वह कभी भी किसी भी बाइबल से बाहर की शिक्षा, अथवा किसी भी असत्य अथवा झूठी शिक्षा का, उस के द्वारा दी गई शिक्षाओं में मिलाए जाने के साथ कभी सहमत नहीं होगा। इसलिए वह मनुष्य के विचारों और बुद्धि की बातों के बाइबल की बातों के साथ जोड़े जाने, और फिर इस मिली-जुली बात को परमेश्वर के सत्य के समान प्रस्तुत किए जाने का साथ तो कभी भी नहीं देगा। इसे थोड़ा गंभीरता से सोचिए, यदि यह परमेश्वर के वचन में मनुष्य की बातों की मिलावट करने की अनुमति हो, तो फिर यह एक शैतानी युक्ति होगी जो चालाकी से परमेश्वर के वचन को भ्रष्ट करने, गलत व्याख्याओं और झूठी शिक्षाओं को सही ठहराने, और इस तरह से परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति सन्देह उत्पन्न करने और उसे विश्वास करने योग्य नहीं रहने देने, उसे अस्वीकार्य बनाने के लिए कार्यान्वित होगी।

अगले लेख से हम देखेंगे कि विश्वासी को किस प्रकार से परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से सीखना चाहिए जिस से कि वह उन्नति करे, परिपक्व हो, और एक जयवन्त जीवन जिए।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Learning From the Holy Spirit – 9

 

Christian Believers become the Temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19) from the very moment of their salvation; and God’s Holy Spirit is given to them to reside in them throughout their lives. The Holy Spirit has been given to them to be their Helper, Companion, Teacher, and Guide, in their Christian living and for carrying out their God given ministries. Therefore, they are to be worthy stewards of the Holy Spirit, residing in them. Though God the Holy Spirit is with them to teach them God’s Word, yet most Christians turn to other men and their works to learn God’s Word. The main reason is because learning from the Holy Spirit requires a diligent effort with discipline, commitment, and obedience towards Him. Something, which people usually are unwilling to do; therefore, they take the easy way out of assuming that they can equally well learn from men and their works. 

But no man is perfect, nor is anyone infallible. Therefore those who insist on being followers of men and learning from men, remain highly prone to learning some false teachings and wrong doctrines. More so, since such learning is usually done in blind faith, and ignoring God’s instructions (Acts 17:11; 1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:21), i.e., without cross-checking and verifying the teachings from God’s Word. One common example of these erroneous teachings is the emphatic use of Biblical words and phrases, in an unBiblical manner, i.e., with meanings and in the manner not given at all in the Bible about those words and phrases.

But take note of another very important fact, of the love and grace of God operative even for these recalcitrant people of God, who stubbornly not only themselves fall into, but also mislead others into believing, and following erroneous teachings. Despite their error, they have never been called ‘unbelievers’ in the Bible, and their status of being God’s children has never been revoked from them. Though they have been called immature, childish, carnal, etc., in the Bible, but they are still considered Believers; Christians who need to get out of these problems and grow up. God never gives up on, or abandons anyone (Hebrews 13:5).

We have seen in the last article that if these Christians fail to correct themselves and stubbornly insist on being followers of men and men’s teachings, then they severely restrict their learning of God's Word from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is then unable to give them ‘solid food,’ since they are incapable of receiving and digesting it. So, He continues to feed them with the food of immature, carnal Christians, the spiritual babies and children, i.e., ‘milk’ – the basic elementary principles. 

These six elementary principles are given in Hebrews 6:1-2, and starting from repentance, cover the whole spectrum of Christian life, up to eternal judgement. The implication, and practical application is that those who are followers of men and men’s works, and those who bring their own thoughts and contrived teachings into the actual teachings of God’s Word, then present them to others as truths from God’s Word, and ask others to accept and follow those teachings as God’s truth, they will only receive and will remain confined to receiving ‘milk’ from the Holy Spirit, and serving it to others. In other words, for the proponents of unBiblical teachings, as well as their followers, their learning and teachings will remain confined to the elementary principles of Hebrews 6:1-2. As the Apostle Paul has said in his letter to the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 3:1-3, all they can handle, and therefore all they will receive is milk, the food of babies; nothing solid.

This assertion, at first glance, is likely to be seen as an exaggeration, and overstatement. This is because there are many Believers, elders, preachers, and teachers who are caught up in the errors of using, teaching, and promoting Biblical terms in an unBiblical manner; they are well known to also have a large following, and they give impressive messages. Their messages are not only very well received and accepted, but they often seem to bring out seemingly ‘deeper truths’ and ‘newer expositions’ in their preaching and teachings; that too apparently, under the ‘guidance of the Holy Spirit.’ To understand this apparent contradiction, we need to remain aware of the fact that the newly Born-Again Christians, are not even aware of these elementary principles. Even those who have been Believers for some time, by far the vast majority of them still remain unaware of these basic principles. Moreover, each of these elementary principles also have numerous facets to them, and the new as well as the older Believers usually are not aware of these associated facets either. 

Take for example the first of these principles – repentance from dead works, and think of the associated aspects of God’s love and grace in the regeneration of those dead in their sins (Ephesians 2:1), of Christ’s work for salvation of mankind, of the gospel with its power and effects, etc.; and similarly there are various other aspects associated with every one of these elementary principles. Now, to those who are not even aware of these principles, every ‘exposition,’ every scratching of the surface of these principles will seem like bringing out ‘deeper truths,’ will be a new and fascinating revelation from God’s Word, being given by that errant elder, or preacher and teacher. But essentially, these ‘deeper truths,’ and ‘new revelations’ are only a component of the ‘milk’ that the errant elder, or preacher and teacher has received from the Holy Spirit and has passed on to others, and not any ‘solid food.’ Carefully examine, evaluate, analyse, and understand the preaching and teachings of such preachers and teachers. You will find that they never go beyond the six elementary principles and their related aspects. Their ‘visions’ remain confined only to the ‘spiritual milk.’ They drink this ‘milk,’ and they keep dispensing this ‘milk’ to others.

But when one ponders over Hebrews 5:10-12, as shown in the previous article, it becomes apparent that the Christian Believers are expected to rise higher, go beyond these elementary principles, to become ‘teachers’, and not remain stuck at this elementary stage. Just think of what glories, what revelations, what fascinating, unimaginable, indescribable heavenly visions God has kept available for those of His children (1 Corinthians 2:9-10; 2 Corinthians 12:1-4) who would stop being stubborn, would stop learning from imperfect, fallible men, subject themselves to the Holy Spirit, and make diligent efforts to learn God’s Word from Him, their actual Teacher, given to them for God for learning God’s Word. We get a glimpse of these magnificent glories from the experience of Paul (2 Corinthians 12:1-7), who was committed to learn only from God, and not be a man-pleaser (Galatians 1:10). But those who insist on learning from imperfect, fallible men and their works, why should they expect the Holy Spirit to teach them anything, when they are unwilling to submit to His authority, and be diligent to learn, accept, and apply His instructions in their lives?

Moreover, as the Holy Spirit has written in the Bible, no additions or subtractions to God’s Word are permissible (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19). Therefore, being the Spirit of Truth, He will never agree to anything unBiblical or untrue or false to be mixed and served with His teachings. He will never go with any unBiblical things added to the Biblical teachings; least of all anything of human thoughts and wisdom to be added to God’s Word, and presented as God’s truth. Give it a serious thought, if this mixing of man’s teachings in God’s Word were to be permitted, then, this would be a subtle satanic way of corrupting God’s Word, of justifying the false interpretations and wrong teachings, and thereby creating grounds to create doubts about and to falsify God’s Word, make it unreliable and unacceptable.

From the next article we will start looking at how a Believer should start learning from God the Holy Spirit, to grow up and be mature, and to live an overcoming life.

You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर द्वारा, उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा प्रदान किया गया है, मसीही जीवन जीने और परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे निर्धारित की गई सेवकाई का निर्वाह करने के लिए। पवित्र आत्मा उस में उसका सहायक, साथी, शिक्षक, और मार्गदर्शक बन कर आजीवन निवास करता है। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के भण्डारी होने के नाते, विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर के वचन में से उसकी सहायता और सेवाओं को योग्य रीति से उपयोग करना सीखना चाहिए। पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा विश्वासियों को सिखाई जाने वाली बातों में से एक है परमेश्वर का वचन, बाइबल (यूहन्ना 14:26)। किन्तु बहुत ही कम विश्वासी उस से सीखते हैं; उस की बजाए, वे मनुष्यों और पुस्तकों से सीखने लगते हैं। ऐसा इसलिए होता है क्योंकि पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के लिए उस के प्रति एक अनुशासन की, समर्पण और प्रतिबद्धता की आवश्यकता होती है। मनुष्यों और उनकी रचनाओं से सीखने में कुछ खतरे होते हैं, क्योंकि, मनुष्य चाहे कितना भी भक्त और परमेश्वर के प्रति समर्पित जन क्यों न हो, लेकिन फिर भी वह गलती करने वाला और असिद्ध रहता है। और उसकी असिद्धता की, गलतियों की बातें उसके जीवन और कार्यों में कभी-कभी प्रकट होती ही रहती हैं। इसलिए गलती करने वाले और असिद्ध मनुष्यों और उनके द्वारा लिखी गई पुस्तकों पर निर्भर करने से विश्वासी गलतियों में पड़ने और शैतान द्वारा बहकाए जाने के खतरे में बना रहता है।

हाल के कुछ लेखों में हम विश्वासियों द्वारा परमेश्वर का वचन पवित्र आत्मा की बजाए मनुष्यों से सीखने के बारे में विचार कर रहे हैं। कारणों में से एक है, कुछ विश्वासियों का कुछ अगुवों और प्रचारकों को बहुत आदर-समान का स्तर देकर, उन पर अँध-विश्वास करना। इसलिये उन लोगों में, अपने मन-पसन्द अगुवों और प्रचारकों की कही गई हर बात को, बिना पहले बाइबल से जाँचे-परखे, यूँ ही स्वीकार कर लेने, और उसका पालन करने लगने की दृढ़ और हठीली प्रवृत्ति रहती है। उनका यह ढिठाई से मनुष्यों का अनुसरण का रवैया, उन्हें अपरिपक्व और शारीरिक मसीही बना देता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:3-4)। ऐसे विश्वासी ‘दूध’ के सिवाए, और कुछ भी नहीं पचा पाते हैं; अर्थात, मसीहीयत के आधारभूत सिद्धान्तों से परे और कुछ भी स्वीकार करने और सीखने नहीं पाते हैं। पिछले लेख में हम इस स्थान पर आकर रुके थे कि उनके इस ढीठ रवैये के कारण और कठोर हो कर सुधरने की कोई इच्छा नहीं रखने के कारण, पवित्र आत्मा को पीछे हटना पड़ता है, और उसे उन्हें उन के चुने हुए साधनों पर छोड़ देना पड़ता है। किन्तु क्योंकि परमेश्वर प्रेम और धैर्य रखने वाला परमेश्वर है, वह उन्हें त्याग नहीं देता है, वरन उन्हें केवल ‘दूध’ जिसे वे पचा सकते हैं देता रहता है। किन्तु मसीही विश्वास तथा परमेश्वर के वचन में उनकी शिक्षा इस से आगे नहीं बढ़ने पाती है। आज हम यहाँ से आगे बढ़ेंगे।

यह ‘दूध’, आधारभूत बातें, अर्थात् वे आरंभिक सिद्धान्त, जिन्हें नए विश्वासियों को जानना और सीखना चाहिए, हमें इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दिए गए हैं, “इसलिये आओ मसीह की शिक्षा की आरम्भ की बातों को छोड़ कर, हम सिद्धता की ओर आगे बढ़ते जाएं, और मरे हुए कामों से मन फिराने, और परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करने, और बपतिस्मों और हाथ रखने, और मरे हुओं के जी उठने, और अन्‍तिम न्याय की शिक्षा रूपी नेव, फिर से न डालें।” ये संख्या में छः हैं, और पश्चाताप से लेकर अन्तिम न्याय तक का सारा क्रम इन में पाया जाता है। इब्रानियों 5:12 से प्रतीत होता है कि उस समय में मसीही विश्वास की इन आरंभ की बातों का सिखाया जाना निर्धारित कार्य होता था। लेकिन दुःख की बात है कि आज अधिकांश मसीही, चाहे उन्हें नया जन्म पाए हुए कई वर्ष ही क्यों न हो गए हों, इन के बारे शायद ही कुछ जानते हैं। इसलिए, इन छः बातों को प्रत्येक मसीही को सिखाया जाना निर्धारित पाठ्यक्रम होना चाहिए।

इब्रानियों 5:11-12 हमारे सामने कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें लाता है:

• पहली, क्योंकि इब्रानियों की पत्री के पाठक उन्हें सिखाई गई इन आरंभ की बातों के बारे में भूल गए थे, इसलिए उन का अपने मसीही जीवनों में बढ़ना और परिपक्व होना रुक गया था। यदि वे उन सिद्धांतों का पालन करते रहते, तो यह आशा की जाती थी कि वे ‘शिक्षक’ हो जाते और ‘ठोस भोजन’, या अन्न खाने और पचाने वाले परिपक्व जन बन जाते।

• दूसरी, मसीही जीवन में बढ़ोतरी और परिपक्वता विश्वास में आने से ले कर अभी तक के बीते समय के आधार पर नहीं है, बल्कि विश्वासियों के रवैये और व्यवहार के आधार पर है। प्रेरित पौलुस अपने युवा शिष्य तीमुथियुस को इफिसुस की कलीसिया में गलतियों को सुधारने के लिए अकेला छोड़ सका (1 तीमुथियुस 1:3-4)। जिन मसीही विश्वासियों के जीवन में डाह, झगड़े, और विभाजन है, वे बाइबल के मानकों के अनुसार अभी भी अपरिपक्व और शारीरिक विश्वासी हैं (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:3)। इस से कोई अन्तर नहीं पड़ता है कि वे विश्वास में चाहे कितने भी लंबे समय से क्यों न हों, विश्वासियों में उनका स्तर चाहे कुछ भी हो, और परमेश्वर के वचन के बारे में वे चाहे कितना भी ज्ञान क्यों न रखते हों। इसलिए वे केवल इन छः आरंभिक सिद्धांतों को ही सीखने, स्वीकार करने, और समझने भर की क्षमता रखते हैं।

• तीसरा, मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए ‘ठोस भोजन’ या अन्न, जैसा कि यहाँ इब्रानियों 5:12 में लिखा है, और प्रेरित पौलुस ने 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:2 में कहा है, परमेश्वर के वचन की वो शिक्षाएँ और दर्शन हैं जो इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में कही गई इन छः बातों से अधिक गूढ़ और गंभीर हैं, उदाहरण के लिए मसीह की सेवकाई और मलिकिसिदक (इब्रानियों 5:10)।

• चौथा, इन आरंभिक बातों को भूल जाना, इनके प्रति लापरवाह होना, इनकी अनदेखी करना, मसीही विश्वासी को अपरिपक्व बना देता है, उसे परमेश्वर के वचन की गूढ़ बातों को ग्रहण करने और समझने के अयोग्य कर देता है, और उसे ठोस भोजन नहीं बल्कि लौट कर फिर से केवल ‘दूध’ लेने वाला बना देता है। क्योंकि तब वह ऊँचा सुनने लगता है और उसे समझा पाना कठिन हो जाता है (इब्रानियों  5:11)।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Learning From the Holy Spirit – 8

 

The Holy Spirit of God, has been given to every Christian Believer by God at the moment of his salvation, to always reside in him as his Helper, Companion, Teacher, and Guide. He has been given to help the Believer in living his Christian life and fulfilling his God assigned ministry responsibilities. As stewards of the Holy Spirit, the Believers have to learn from God’s Word to utilize His help and services worthily. One of the things the Holy Spirit teaches to the Believers is God’s Word, the Bible (John 14:26). But not many Believers learn from Him; instead, they turn to learning from men and books. This is because learning from the Holy Spirit requires discipline, a commitment, and obedience to Him. Learning from man and his works has its dangers, since no man, no matter how godly and committed to God he may be, but he is still fallible and imperfect. And this fallibility, this imperfection keeps showing up every now and then in his life and works. Therefore, relying upon fallible, imperfect men and the books written by them leaves the Believers open to falling into errors and being misled by Satan.

In the recent articles, we have been considering about the Believers learning God’s Word not from the Holy Spirit, but from men. One of the reasons is some Believers hold some leaders and preachers in very high esteem, and have blind faith in them for everything. Therefore, they have an obstinate tendency to blindly accept and follow whatever their esteemed leaders and preachers say and teach. They stubbornly and persistently ignore the Biblical command to first evaluate and verify it from the Bible. This persistent attitude of following men, makes those Believers immature and carnal Christians (1 Corinthians 3:3-4). Such Believers are incapable of digesting anything but ‘milk’, i.e., incapable of accepting and learning anything beyond the basic elementary principles of Christianity. In the last article we had stopped at the point that because of this stubborn attitude, and being resistant to corrections, the Holy Spirit has to step back in the lives of such Believers, and leave them to their own chosen devices. God being a God of love, being long-suffering, He does not abandon them, but keeps on feeding them with the ‘milk’ that they can take and digest. But their learning in Christian faith and Word of God does not go beyond this. Today we will carry on about this from this point onwards.

This ‘milk’, the basics, i.e., the elementary principles that the beginners need to know and learn, are given to us in Hebrews 6:1-2, “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” They are six in number, and cover the whole spectrum from repentance up to eternal judgement. In other words, all the aspects of Christian life are covered in these six topics. From Hebrews 5:12, it seems that teaching these elementary principles was then the standard practice. But sadly speaking, today most Christians, despite being Born-Again Believers for many years, know hardly anything significant about them. Hence these six principles ought to be the standard teaching and learning curriculum for all Christians.

Hebrews 5:11-12 brings some important points before us:

• Firstly, Because the recipients of the letter to Hebrews had forgotten what they had been taught about these elementary principles, therefore they had stopped growing and maturing in their Christian lives. Had they continued to follow these principles, the expectation was that they would have become ‘teachers’ and matured to be those who would take and digest ‘solid food.’

• Secondly, Christian growth and maturity is not according to the time one has been in the faith, but by attitudes and behaviour of the Believers. The Apostle Paul could leave Timothy his young pupil alone, to correct the errors in the Church at Ephesus (1 Timothy 1:3-4). The Christian Believers who have envy, strife, and divisions in their lives, by Biblical standards, they are still immature and carnal Christians (1 Corinthians 3:3). Irrespective of however long they might have been in the faith, no matter what their status may be amongst the Believers, and howsoever knowledgeable they may be about God’s Word. Therefore, they are only capable of learning, accepting, and understanding things related to these six elementary principles.

• Thirdly, the ‘solid food’ for the Christian Believers, as written here in Hebrew 5:12, and as the Apostle Paul has said in 1 Corinthians 3:2, are teachings and expositions of God’s Word that are deeper and more profound than what is covered in these six elementary principles that  are stated in Hebrews 6:1-2; e.g., things about Christ’s ministry and Melchizedek (Hebrews 5:10).

• Fourthly, forgetting, or overlooking, or ignoring these basic elementary principles, leads to loss of maturity in the Christian Believer, rendering him incapable of receiving and understanding the deeper things of God’s Word, and reverting him to requiring being fed only milk, not solid food. Since then they become dull of hearing, and it becomes something hard to explain to them (Hebrews 5:11).

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
