परमेश्वर के वचन में फेर-बदल – 1
पिछले 11 लेखों में, परमेश्वर के वचन में दिए गए परमेश्वर के लोगों के जीवनों के कुछ उदाहरणों के द्वारा, हम परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति अनुचित व्यवहार से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को देख रहे थे। हमने देखा है कि किन तरीकों और कैसे व्यवहार के द्वारा लोग परमेश्वर के वचन की अवहेलना करते हैं, और वचन के प्रति अपने भण्डारी होने के दायित्व का निर्वाह करने से चूक जाते हैं। हमने देखा था कि भक्त लोग भी परमेश्वर के वचन को पूर्णतः और उद्यम के साथ पालन करने के अपने दायित्व को हलके में लेते हैं, उसका ठीक से निर्वाह करने में गलती करते हैं, और इस कारण अपने तथा औरों के लिए समस्याएँ खड़ी कर लेते हैं।
परमेश्वर ने अपने कार्य को करने के लिए जो अपने वचन में लिखवाया है, कहा है, उसकी अवहेलना करने, और उसके बारे में अपनी ही धारणा के अनुसार कार्य करने के अतिरिक्त, बहुत सामान्यतः देखी जाने वाली एक अन्य बात है परमेश्वर के वचन में फेर-बदल करना, वचन की कुछ बातों को ऐसे दिखाना मानो वह एक विशिष्ट विचार अथवा मान्यता को कह रहा है, उस विचारधारा का ही समर्थन कर रहा है। यह दिखाने के लिए न केवल जान-बूझकर परमेश्वर के वचन की गलत व्याख्या की जाती है, वचन के भागों का गलत हवाला दिया जाता है, और उसका अनुचित अर्थ के साथ उपयोग किया जाता है; बल्कि परमेश्वर के वचन में या तो कुछ जोड़ा जाता है, अथवा उसमें से कुछ निकाला भी जाता है, जिससे कि वचन किसी विशिष्ट शिक्षा, विचार, या धारणा का समर्थन अथवा पुष्टि करता हुआ प्रतीत हो।
वचन का इस तरह से जान-बूझकर किए जाने वाले दुरुपयोग के उदाहरण वे डिनॉमिनेशंस, मत, और संप्रदाय हैं जिन्होंने पहले वचन में कुछ फेर-बदल की है, और फिर वे उस भ्रष्ट किए हुए वचन को आधार बनाकर, उसे ही परमेश्वर का सच्चा वचन बता कर, वे उस बदले हुए के आधार पर अपने ही सिद्धांतों और शिक्षाओं का प्रचार और प्रसार करते हैं। परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ इस प्रकार से किए गए परिवर्तन को बड़ी सरलता से उस डिनॉमिनेशन, मत, या संप्रदाय के आरंभ होने और उसके इतिहास का अध्ययन करने, तथा उनके द्वारा बताए जा रहे परमेश्वर के वचन की, उन प्राचीन ऐतिहासिक लेखों के साथ तुलना करने से, जिन से अनुवाद होकर वचन आया, वास्तविकता को जाना और पहचाना जा सकता है।
एक अन्य प्रकार का, परमेश्वर के वचन का बहुत सामान्य और लगभग हर डिनॉमिनेशन तथा कलीसिया में पाया जाने वाला, बहुत चालाकी से किया गया, बहुत कुटिल फेर-बदल भी है, जिसे तुरंत ही या सरलता से न तो पहचाना और न ही समझा जाता है। यहाँ तक कि इसे करने वालों को पता भी नहीं चलता है कि शैतान ने कब और कैसे उनसे यह फेर-बदल और वचन को भ्रष्ट करने का काम अनजाने में ही चुपके से करवा दिया है। और वचन में किया गया इस प्रकार का यह फेर-बदल, यदि ऊपर उल्लेखित जान-बूझकर किए गए फेर बदल से अधिक नहीं, तो कम से कम उतना ही घातक तो अवश्य ही होता है। इस तरह के फेर-बदल की संभावनाओं के कुछ चिह्न हैं, और हो जाने के कुछ लक्षण हैं:
बहुधा इसे करने वाले परमेश्वर के भक्त, समर्पित, आज्ञाकारी विश्वासी, अथवा परमेश्वर की सेवकाई में लगे हुए लोग ही होते हैं; ऐसे लोग, जिनपर सामान्यतः लोगों का अन्ध-विश्वास विकसित हो चुका होता है।
सामान्यतः यह नए विश्वासियों अथवा वचन में नौसिखियों से नहीं, बल्कि वचन के ज्ञाता, वचन के अच्छे प्रचारकों, प्रभावी शिक्षकों, और मसीही विश्वास में परिपक्व तथा कलीसियाओं में मान्यता रखने वाले लोगों, कलीसिया या मण्डली के अगुवों से आरंभ होता है।
इसका आरंभ परमेश्वर के प्रति अपने प्रेम, श्रद्धा, भक्ति आदि को दिखाने, और उसकी सामर्थ्य, गुणों, व्यवहार, और योग्यताओं आदि के प्रति आस्था व्यक्त करने की कुछ नई और/या विशिष्ट अभिव्यक्तियों के गढ़े और सिखाए जाने साथ होता है।
यह फेर-बदल परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में पहले से ही लिखी गई, परमेश्वर और उसके कार्यों से संबंधित बातों के द्वारा किया जाता है; और इसीलिए इस फेर-बदल या भिन्नता को तुरन्त या सरलता से पहचाना या माना भी नहीं जाता है।
फेर-बदल और गलती यह होती है कि परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखी और परमेश्वर के कार्यों से संबंधित इन बातों का उस रीति, उस अभिप्राय के साथ उपयोग नहीं किया जाता है, जिनके लिए या जिनके साथ ये वचन में पहले से दिया एवं लिखा गया है। बाइबल के तथ्यों को कुछ नई रीति से, उनमें कुछ भिन्न और नए अर्थों के जोड़ दिये जाने के साथ, नई बातों के संदर्भ में लागू तथा उपयोग करना सिखाया जाता है; ऐसे जैसा बाइबल में उनके लिए नहीं लिखा गया है। अर्थात् , बात तो वचन की और वचन में से ही है, वह वास्तव में परमेश्वर से ही संबंधित भी है, किन्तु उसका उपयोग वचन में दिए गए अभिप्राय और उपयोग से भिन्न होता है।
इस फेर-बदल को स्वीकार करने, पालन करने, और इसका औरों तक प्रसार करने में प्रमुख भूमिका उस अगुवे, जिसके द्वारा यह आरंभ किया जाता है, के अंध-भक्तों की होती है। उस अगुवे के ये अंध-भक्त क्योंकि यह मानकर चलते हैं कि वह मनुष्य कभी गलती कर ही नहीं सकता है, उत्तम और प्रभावी प्रचार करने वाला वह अगुवा जो कहता और सिखाता है वह सही ही होता है, इसलिए वे लोग उसकी सभी शिक्षाओं को बिना जाँचे-परखे स्वीकार कर लेते हैं, उनका पालन करते हैं, उन्हें औरों तक पहुंचाते हैं, और अनायास ही उस मनुष्य की बात और शिक्षा को परमेश्वर के वचन की बात से अधिक महत्व देने लग जाते हैं।
इस अंध-भक्त भावना के कारण, किसी के द्वारा उस मनुष्य के प्रचार या शिक्षा में कोई गलती दिखाए जाने के प्रयास को उस अगुवे, उसके विश्वास, और उसकी भक्ति का अपमान समझा जाता है, और इसीलिए बहुधा बिना जाँचे और परखे ही, उस गलती को दिखाने वाले, गलती का सुधार करने का प्रयास करने वाले को, और उसकी बातों का तिरस्कार कर देते हैं, उसकी आलोचना करते हैं और उसके विरुद्ध बोलते हैं।
इस फेर-बदल और गलती को पहचानने का आधार और माध्यम परमेश्वर का वचन ही है, और इसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Altering God’s Word - 1
In the preceding 11 articles, through the examples from the lives of some people of God given in God’s Word, we have been looking at aspects of improper behavior towards God’s Word. We saw and considered the ways, and the manners in which God’s people disregard some aspects of God’s Word, and thereby fall short in their stewardship of God’s Word. We have seen that even godly people tend to take their responsibility of fully and diligently obeying God’s Word lightly, falter in doing so, and end up creating problems for themselves and others.
Besides disregarding certain aspects of what God has stated, has had written in His Word, and besides assuming things about doing God’s work, another very common tendency is to alter God’s Word, often, to make it appear as saying or supporting a particular belief or line of thought. This not only involves deliberately misinterpreting, misquoting or misapplying portions of God’s Word; but also adding to, or, taking away from God’s Word, so that it seems to support and affirm a particular teaching, or opinion, or concept.
Examples of this deliberate misuse, adding to, or taking away from God’s Word are the alterations made in the Bible by some denominations, sects, and cults, and then misusing this altered text to preach and teach their beliefs and doctrines, calling this altered form as the true word of God. This form of altering God’s Word can easily be checked out for its veracity by considering the origin and history of the denomination, cult, or sect, and comparing what they show to be as God’s word with the ancient texts of God’s Word from which the various translations have come.
There is another much more sinister, very commonly seen in practically every Church and denomination, and very subtly done, alteration of God’s Word that is neither readily nor easily discerned and recognized. So much so, that those through whom it occurs, do not even realize how and when Satan has got them to inadvertently and unknowingly alter and corrupt God’s Word. And this form of alteration is equally, if not more, harmful than the kind of deliberate alteration stated above. There are certain pointers to the possibility of this kind of alteration happening, and some signs, that it has happened:
Very often it happens through committed, godly, obedient Believers, or those engaged in God’s Ministry; those on whom people usually develop a blind faith.
Usually, it does not happen through new Christian Believers, but through those who are well versed in God’s Word, and are good preachers, effective teachers, mature in faith, and having a status and reputation amongst Churches and Assemblies, are the leaders and elders.
It begins through crafting new and/or typical expressions of showing love and reverence for God and for godliness, and for expressing the power, attributes, characteristics, and abilities of God.
The alteration is done through using the things already written in the Word of God, things about God and His works; therefore, the alteration or variation is neither immediately nor easily recognized or discerned.
The alteration and error carried out are that the things written in God’s Word related to God and His works, are used with a meaning and implication different from that which has already been given and used in the Word for those things. These Biblical facts are preached, taught, and used in a manner different from that already given in the Bible, through some new meanings added to them, and by using them for matters different from what they have been used for in the Bible. In other words, though the expressions and phrases are from the Bible, they are actually related to God, but their meaning, implications, and utilization are different from that given in the Bible.
It is the blind-followers of the leader or elder who started this alteration, who play the main role in accepting, following, and then teaching and propagating them to others. The blind-followers of that leader or elder believe, that particular person can never make a mistake, the leader or elder who preaches and teaches so well and so effectively, whatever he says, has to be true. So they accept whatever he says without cross-checking it, start following it, pass it on to others, and unknowingly start giving more importance to that man and his words than to God’s Word.
Because of this tendency of blindly following a person, if anyone tries to show any error or short-coming in the preaching and teaching of that leader or elder, then it is taken as an insult, an affront to that person and his faith and godliness; and therefore, without checking and analyzing what is being pointed out, the one who is pointing out the mistake and is trying to correct the error, and what he is saying, both are rejected, are criticized, and spoken against.
The basis of being able to identify, and discern this alteration is God’s Word, and we will see about this in the next article.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
