परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति अनुचित व्यवहार – 1

 

    हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा है कि प्रत्येक नया जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी, उसका, जो परमेश्वर ने उसे दिया है, एक भण्डारी भी है; और परमेश्वर द्वारा प्रत्येक विश्वासी को दी गई बातों में से एक है उसका वचन, बाइबल। हमने यूहन्ना 1:1, 14 से देखा था कि शब्द “वचन” का बाइबल में उपयोग प्रभु यीशु मसीह के एक नाम के समान भी हुआ है; और यही “वचन” आज हमारे हाथों में लिखित बाइबल के रूप में दिया गया है। प्रभु यीशु का एक स्वरूप होने के नाते, यह उतना ही संपूर्ण और सिद्ध है जितना प्रभु यीशु हैं; और इसीलिए इसके साथ कोई छेड़-छाड़, उसमें कुछ जोड़ना या उसमें से कुछ घटना, आदि बिलकुल नहीं किए जा सकते हैं। इस लिखित वचन के साथ ऐसा कुछ भी करना एक तरह से प्रभु परमेश्वर के साथ करना है, और इसीलिए यह करने के बहुत गंभीर दुष्परिणाम हैं; ऐसा करना परमेश्वर द्वारा वर्जित किया गया है (व्यवस्थाविवरण 4:2; नीतिवचन 30:6; प्रकाशितवाक्य 22:18-19)। परमेश्वर के जीवित वचन, बाइबल, के भण्डारी होने के नाते यह प्रत्येक मसीही की ज़िम्मेदारी है कि यह सुनिश्चित रखे कि वचन के साथ कोई अनुचित व्यवहार, अर्थात, उसके साथ कोई दुर्व्यवहार, उसकी कोई गलत व्याख्या, उसका कोई गलत उपयोग न किया जाए। इसका यह निहितार्थ भी है कि यदि किसी मसीही को यह पता चलता है, या वह इस बात का एहसास करता है कि उसके अपने जीवन में, या कलीसिया में, या औरों के मध्य किसी रीति से परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ कोई दुर्व्यवहार, उसकी कोई गलत व्याख्या, उसका कोई गलत उपयोग किया जा रहा है, तो यह उसकी ज़िम्मेदारी है, भण्डारी होने का फ़र्ज़ है कि वह तुरन्त ही इसे सुधारने के लिए उपयुक्त कदम उठाए, और वचन के प्रति उचित व्यवहार को बहाल करे।

    शैतान के शैतान बनने से पहले और उसके दूतों – वर्तमान में दुष्टात्माओं, के साथ उनके स्वर्ग से बाहर निकाले जाने से पहले, वह प्रधान स्वर्गदूत लूसिफर था। उसकी सुन्दरता, क्षमताओं, और उसे दी गई सामर्थ्य के कारण उसमें घमण्ड आ गया, और उसने अपने आप को परमेश्वर से ऊँचा करना चाहा। यही उसके पतन और स्वर्ग से निष्कासित किए जाने का कारण था। तब से ही वह किसी न किसी रीति से मनुष्य की दृष्टि में परमेश्वर को गिराने और असिद्ध दिखाने, तथा अपने आप को ऊँचा उठाने के प्रत्येक अवसर का भरपूरी से उपयोग करता आ रहा है। अपने इस उद्देश्य को पूरा करने के लिए उसने अनेकों युक्तियाँ बना रखीं हैं, कुछ दुष्टता की हैं, कुछ दिखने में सीधी तथा अहानिकारक सी लगती हैं, और कुछ ऐसी भी हैं जो बाहरी स्वरूप में देखने में परमेश्वर के प्रति श्रद्धा और भक्ति पूर्ण प्रतीत होती हैं किन्तु वास्तविकता में इसके विपरीत हैं। जिस व्यक्ति के विरुद्ध उसे कार्य करना होता है, उसके स्वभाव के अनुसार शैतान इन में से कोई एक युक्ति अथवा कुछ युक्तियों को उपयोग करता है। कुल मिलाकर, उसका यही प्रयास रहता है कि मनुष्य को यह मनवाए कि परमेश्वर पर विश्वास नहीं किया जा सकता है, और उस पर कभी भरोसा नहीं करना चाहिए, तथा मनुष्य की दृष्टि में परमेश्वर को नीचा दिखाए। जैसा कि हमने बाइबल के स्वरूप और स्वभाव पर पिछले लेखों में देखा है तथा बारंबार ज़ोर भी दिया है, यह जाँचने और परखने का कि जो हमें प्रस्तुत किया जा रहा है वह परमेश्वर की ओर से है कि नहीं, एकमात्र सही और अचूक तरीका है बाइबल के आधार पर उसकी जाँच-पड़ताल करना, यह देखना कि क्या वह बात बाइबल में दी गई है या नहीं, और यदि दी गई है, तो क्या उसी तरह से, उसी अर्थ के साथ दी गई है, जैसी वह हमारे सामने प्रस्तुत की जा रही है? यदि उस बात में बाइबल में दिए अनुसार से ज़रा सा भी परिवर्तन अथवा भिन्नता है, तो उसे तुरन्त ही स्वीकार नहीं करना चाहिए। बल्कि, बड़ी बारीकी से उसे परमेश्वर के अचूक, अटल, अपरिवर्तनीय, स्वर्ग में अनन्त काल के लिए स्थापित वचन, बाइबल, के आधार पर जाँच कर उसकी वास्तविकता की पुष्टि करनी चाहिए; और उस पर तब ही विश्वास करना चाहिए यदि वह बाइबल में लिखे के अनुसार पूर्णतः सही और उससे संगत पाई जाए।

    परमेश्वर के एक जन ने बहुत सही कहा है, “या तो बाइबल आप को पाप से दूर रखेगी; अन्यथा पाप आप को बाइबल से दूर रखेगा।” क्योंकि परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल शैतान द्वारा उसकी युक्तियों को सफलता पूर्वक प्रयोग करने में सब से बड़ी बाधा है, इसलिए उसकी मुख्य युक्तियों में से एक है मनुष्य के हृदय में परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति सन्देह उत्पन्न करना, और मनुष्य को परमेश्वर के वचन पर भरोसा रख कर अपने निर्णय लेने के लिए नहीं, वरन अपनी बुद्धि और समझ के अनुसार निर्णय लेने और कार्य करने के लिए उकसाना। इसके बारे में हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Improper Behavior Towards God’s Word - 1

 

    We have seen in the previous articles that every Born-Again Christian Believer is also a steward of whatever God has given him; and one of the things given to every Believer by God is His Word, the Bible. We saw from John 1:1, 14 that “The Word” is also a name used in the Bible for the Lord Jesus; and this “Word” has now been placed in our hands in the written form as The Bible. Being a form of the Lord Jesus, it is just as complete and perfect as the Lord Jesus is; and therefore, it cannot be tampered with, altered, added to or taken away from. Doing any of these to the written Word is tantamount to doing it to the Lord God, and therefore, has serious deleterious consequences; has been forbidden by God (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19). As stewards of God’s Living Word, The Bible, as part of his stewardship it is every Christian Believer’s responsibility to ensure that God’s Word is not improperly used, i.e., is not mishandled, misinterpreted, and misused. This also implies that if it comes to his knowledge, or if he realizes that in his own life, or in his Church, or amongst others, God’s Word is in some way being mishandled, misinterpreted, and misused, then it is his responsibility as a steward, that he should immediately take corrective measures to restore the appropriate behavior towards it.

    Satan, before becoming Satan and being cast out of heaven along with his angels – now demons, was the Archangel Lucifer. Because of his beauty, capabilities, and powers, pride came in him and he wanted to exalt himself above God. This was the cause of his downfall and being cast out of heaven. Since then, he has been using every opportunity, creating means and schemes to somehow denigrate God, show God to be imperfect, bring God down and exalt himself in the eyes of man and be worshipped. To try to accomplish this he has devised various strategies, some evil, some seemingly innocuous, and some that seem pious and reverential towards God, but in reality are just the opposite. Depending upon the nature of the person he has to work against, Satan uses one or the other, or a combination of these strategies. Overall, his effort is directed towards making man believe that God cannot be believed, should not be relied upon, and to bring God down. As we have seen and as has been repeatedly emphasized in the preceding articles on the substance and nature of the Bible, the one infallible method of identifying whether a thing being presented to us is from God, or not from God is to check whether or not it has been given in the Bible, in just the same way as it is being presented to us. If there is any variation from what is given in the Bible, and the way the thing is being told or presented to us, then it is not to be immediately believed. Instead, it has to be minutely evaluated and confirmed on the basis of the inerrant, infallible, unalterable, eternal Word of God forever settled in heaven, the Bible, and only believed if found consistent with what is written in the Bible.

    It has very rightly been said by a man of God, “Either the Bible will keep you from sin; or, sin will keep you from the Bible.” Since God’s Word, The Bible, is the greatest hindrance for Satan to successfully implement his strategies, therefore one of his prime strategies is to create doubts about God’s Word in the heart of man, and induce him to rely not on God’s Word, but his own intellect and reasoning, and take his decisions accordingly. We will see more on this in the next article.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

बाइबल के स्वरूप के निहितार्थ – 4

 

    पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि क्योंकि अब बाइबल पूर्ण, संकलित, और लगभग सभी के लिए आसानी से उपलब्ध है, इसलिए परमेश्वर सामान्यतः, और मुख्यतः हम से और सँसार के लोगों से बाइबल के माध्यम से संपर्क और वार्तालाप करता है। इसका यह अर्थ नहीं है कि परमेश्वर अब किसी से भी किसी भी अन्य तरीके से संपर्क या वार्तालाप नहीं करता है; निःसंदेह वह करता है। किन्तु वह जिस भी माध्यम से वार्तालाप करे, अब अपने लिखित वचन बाइबल की बातों के बाहर कभी नहीं जाता है, कभी उस में कुछ जोड़ता नहीं है, कभी उस में से कुछ घटाता नहीं है। इसलिए यदि कोई परमेश्वर से किसी नए दर्शन या सन्देश को प्राप्त करने का दावा करता है, तो बड़े ध्यान से बाइबल में पहले से ही दे दी गई शिक्षाओं के आधार पर उसकी तथा उसके दावे की जाँच की जानी चाहिए।

    बाइबल के स्वरूप और स्वभाव की समझ का यह निहितार्थ भी है कि जब बाइबल हम से बात करती है, जैसे कि वह उन से जो उसमें विश्वास करते हैं, उस पर भरोसा रखते हैं, करती है, तब वह परमेश्वर है जो हम से बात कर रहा है, हमें निर्देश दे रहा है, हमारा मार्गदर्शन कर रहा है। इस बात का परीक्षण और निश्चय कि हम से बात करने वाला परमेश्वर ही है, यही है कि उसकी बात हमेशा ही बाइबल के पूर्णतः अनुसार तथा बाइबल से पूर्णतः सहमत होगी। उसकी बात कभी भी बाइबल में लिखी बात से लेशमात्र भी भिन्न अथवा असहमत नहीं होगी; और न ही कभी किसी को उसे बाइबल, या बाइबल में उल्लेखित परमेश्वर के लोगों के जीवन, व्यवहार, बातों, शिक्षाओं आदि के साथ संगत दिखाने या समझाने के लिए किसी प्रकार के कोई विशेष प्रयास करने होंगे; परमेश्वर की बातें स्वतः ही बाइबल की बातों तथा शिक्षाओं के साथ सटीक और संगत बैठ जाएँगी।

    बाइबल हमारे हाथों में विद्यमान असीम, अचूक, अटल, सिद्ध परमेश्वर का भौतिक स्वरूप है; परन्तु सावधान रहें, न तो इसकी पूजा-अर्चना की जानी है, और न ही इसके सामने सिर झुका कर इसकी उपासना-आराधना करनी है; इसे किसी ईश्वरीय स्वरूप में माने जाने के लिए नहीं दिया गया है। इसे हमें दिया गया है जिससे कि हम परमेश्वर और उसकी इच्छा के बारे में जान सकें, उसमें होकर परमेश्वर के साथ संपर्क और वार्तालाप कर सकें, और परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य तथा भावता हुआ जीवन जीना सीख सकें; न कि उसे आराध्य के समान उपयोग करें चाहे यह कितना भी भक्ति या श्रद्धा पूर्ण क्यों न प्रतीत हो।

    क्योंकि यह प्रभु परमेश्वर का भौतिक स्वरूप है, इसलिए यह संभव ही नहीं है कि कोई भी मनुष्य अपनी सीमित, चूक सकने वाली, बदलने वाली, अपूर्ण बुद्धि से इसे समझ सके या इसकी थाह ले सके। जैसा कि बहुधा देखा जाता है, मनुष्य अपने ज्ञान, अपनी शिक्षा, अपनी समझ-बूझ, अपने तर्क-वितर्क, कई बातों के बारे में अपनी बुद्धिमता, आदि के आधार पर बाइबल की बातों का गलत अर्थ और व्याख्या कर सकता है, उनका दुरुपयोग कर सकता है, उन्हें अनुचित रीति से लागू करना सिखा सकता है, उन से या उनके आधार पर गलत शिक्षा और प्रचार कर सकता है। यह सब करते हुए वह व्यक्ति सँसार के लोगों के सामने बहुत ज्ञानवान और तर्कसंगत भी प्रतीत हो सकता है, उसकी बहुत प्रशंसा की जा सकती है, वह बहुत प्रसिद्ध और मानने योग्य समझा जा सकता है। किन्तु बाइबल की वास्तविक समझ-बूझ, ज्ञान, शिक्षा, और उनका सही उपयोग करना केवल पवित्र आत्मा के मार्गदर्शन से ही हो सकता है। सँसार के स्वाभाविक, उद्धार नहीं पाए हुए लोगों के पास कभी भी बाइबल की सही आत्मिक समझ नहीं होगी (1 कुरिन्थियों 2:11-14), और इसीलिए, वे कभी भी उसका उपयोग परमेश्वर की महिमा के लिए, और उस तरह से नहीं करने पाएंगे, जैसा परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन के लिए निर्धारित किया है।

English Translation

Implications of Nature of The Bible - 4

 

    In the previous article we had seen that since the Bible is complete, compiled, and readily available to nearly everyone, therefore, now God usually and predominantly communicates with us and the people of the world through His Word The Bible. This does not mean that God no longer communicates with anyone through any other means; He undoubtedly does so. But whatever be the means He communicates through, He never goes outside of His written Word the Bible, never adds to it, never takes away from it. Hence anyone claiming to have any fresh or new revelations and communications from God should be carefully and diligently evaluated from the Word of God, on the basis of the teachings already given in the Word of God.

    The understanding of the form and nature of The Bible also implies that when The Bible speaks to us, as it does with those who believe in it and trust it, it is God who is speaking with us, instructing us, guiding us. The test of whether or not it is God who is speaking with us is that whatever God says or teaches or guides us about, will always be in complete agreement and accordance with what He has already given to us in His word The Bible. It will never, in any manner be at any variance from what is written in the Bible, and we will not have to make any special efforts in any way to make it sound or appear consistent with The Bible, with the lives, practices, teachings, etc., of God’s people in the Bible. We will not have to justify it in any manner to make it seem acceptable with the Bible; it will automatically and smoothly fall into line with what the Bible says and teaches.

    The Bible is a physical form of the infinite, infallible, perfect Lord God in our hands; but beware, it is not for bowing down before it or using it as a deity in any manner. It is given to us for knowing about God and His will, for communicating with God through it, and learning to live life pleasing and acceptable to God; not for using it as a deity, howsoever reverential that may seem to be.

    Since it is a physical form of the Lord God, therefore, there is simply no way that any man can ever understand or fathom it with his finite, fallible, imperfect mind. As is seen quite often, man, through his own intellect, his education and learning, his own understanding, logic, and wisdom about various things, can misuse, misinterpret, misapply, wrongly teach and preach the Bible and things of the Bible, and even appear very rational and knowledgeable about them to the people of the world, be highly appreciated and become famous because of it. But the factual knowledge, understanding, learning, and proper utilization of the Bible can only come through the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. The natural, unsaved people of the world will never have the correct spiritual understanding of God’s Word (1 Corinthians 2:11-14), and therefore, they will never be able to use it for God’s glory and in the manner that God has intended His Word to be used.

बाइबल के स्वरूप के निहितार्थ – 3

 

    परमेश्वर के वचन के स्वरूप और स्वभाव के निहितार्थों से संबंधित पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि बाइबल की पुस्तकों के एकत्रित और संकलित किए जाने के बाद, जब बाइबल को अपने पूर्ण स्वरूप में हमारे हाथों में रख दिया गया है, तो वही परमेश्वर का मुख्य और सामान्य माध्यम है हम से वार्तालाप और संपर्क करने के लिए, और हमारा मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए। इसी लिए बाइबल को परमेश्वर का जीवित वचन भी कहते हैं। अब परमेश्वर ने हम से जो कुछ भी कहना होता है तो वह सामान्यतः बाइबल में हो कर ही कहता है। यदि परमेश्वर हम से किसी अन्य माध्यम द्वारा भी वार्तालाप करता है, तब भी वह कभी भी उन बातों से बाहर नहीं जाता है जो उसने अपने वचन में पहले से दे दी हैं।

Implications of Nature of The Bible - 3

 

    In the previous article on implications of the substance and nature of God’s Word we have seen how and why since after the Bible has been completed and compiled, and has been placed in our hands, it is the main, the usual means through which God communicates with us and guides us. This is why The Bible is also known as The Living Word of God. Now whatever God has to say to us, is usually through the Bible. Even if God communicates with us through any other means, He never goes outside of what he has already given to us in His Word.

    Since the Lord God has placed Himself in our hands in this written form as The Bible, therefore, now His main and predominant means of communicating with us is the Bible, His revelation of Himself for all of mankind. Now, generally speaking, there is neither need nor necessity for God to give everyone individual or special revelations, visions, and instructions for things pertaining to life and godliness, for their or for other’s lives. As the Lord Jesus has said in John 14:21, 23, those who honor and obey His Word, God loves them, manifests Himself to them, and makes His home with them; contrast this with Matthew 7:21-23. This is not to say that God no longer communicates with individuals in any manner other than through His Word; undoubtedly, He still does speak to people in various ways. But generally speaking, He communicates with us mainly through The Bible; and whatever He says to anyone through any manner of communication, whether for private or public use, will never be outside of what He has given in The Bible. He will remind us, bring something to our attention, help us focus upon a particular aspect of His Word, explain some passage we are having difficulty with, show us how to apply something from the Bible in our lives, etc., but He will never go over and outside The Word that He has already given to us. Therefore, we always need to be wary of, and confirm from God’s Word everything that someone claims he has received as a special communication from God (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21).

    As we had seen earlier, God has given serious warnings in His Word about adding to it or taking away from it (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19). Since the Bible is the completed Word of God, forever settled in heaven, a form of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, therefore, God will never add anything to it, nor take anything away from it, nor alter anything He has said and had written in it; since doing any of these will be tampering with the Lord God Himself; something that has grave consequences for the people who do this. Therefore, the evident implication is that God will never give to anyone any revelations or speak of things that are outside of what is already written in the Bible. Since everything pertaining to life and godliness has already been given to us in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus, which is through the Bible, therefore, even for things and ways related godliness, God will never inspire, or ask anyone to do or say anything, in any manner that He has not already given to us in His Word. Any such extra-Biblical things related to godliness or about living our lives in the world, can be through the fertile imagination of some man desiring to be extra-reverent and extra-pious, but will not be from God; and that which is not from God is vain, is unacceptable to Him for His worship (Matthew 15:9, 13).

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

बाइबल के स्वरूप के निहितार्थ – 2

 

    हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि चाहे पुराने नियम के समय में हो अथवा नए नियम के, परमेश्वर का लोगों के साथ वार्तालाप करने का तरीका उसके द्वारा चुने गए कुछ लोगों में होकर करना ही रहा है। उसने नबियों, प्रेरितों, तथा कुछ अन्यों से सीधे बोल कर बातें कीं, उन से दर्शनों और स्वप्नों के द्वारा बातें कीं। फिर इन लोगों ने परमेश्वर की ओर से, परमेश्वर के सन्देश को, सँसार के लोगों तक पहुँचाया। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने इन चुने हुए लोगों को प्रेरित किया और उनसे उन बातों को लिखवाया जो परमेश्वर ने उन से कही थीं। पवित्र आत्मा ही की अगुवाई में इन लेखों को एकत्रित एवं संकलित किया गया, जो अब हमारे हाथों में पूर्ण बाइबल के रूप में है – जो परमेश्वर का अनन्तकालीन, बिना किसी गलती वाला, अटल, अपरिवर्तनीय, सिद्ध और सम्पूर्ण वचन है जो अनन्त काल के लिए स्वर्ग में स्थापित है।

    तो, हम बाइबल के इतिहास से देखते हैं कि कुछ डिनॉमिनेशंस द्वारा किए जाने वाले दावों और सामान्य प्रचलित धारणाओं के विपरीत, परमेश्वर ने उन सब से जो उसके नाम से जाने जाते हैं, न तो सीधे बोल कर बातें कीं, और न ही उन सभी को अपने बारे में दर्शन दिए या सभी से स्वप्न में कुछ कहा, वरन केवल कुछ ही लोगों को इसके लिए उपयोग किया। इसलिए वर्तमान में लोगों द्वारा सीधे परमेश्वर से सन्देश, दर्शन, या स्वप्न प्राप्त करने का दावा करना, और वह भी उन बातों के बारे में जो बाइबल में दी ही नहीं गई हैं, और फिर योएल 2:28 और उसके जैसे बाइबल के पदों के द्वारा अपने आप को सही ठहराने के तर्क देना, परमेश्वर के वचन का दुरुपयोग करना है, क्योंकि परमेश्वर कभी भी उस वचन के बाहर या अतिरिक्त, जो वह पवित्र शास्त्र में दे चुका है, कभी कुछ नहीं कहेगा या देगा।

    यह सम्पूर्ण और संकलित वचन अनन्त काल के लिए स्वर्ग में स्थिर रखा गया है (भजन 119:89); और परमेश्वर ने अपने इसी वचन को अपने बड़े नाम से भी अधिक महत्व दिया है (भजन 138:2)। उसने अपने वचन बाइबल में पहले से ही न केवल जीवन और भक्ति से संबंधित हर बात दे दी है; वरन साथ ही सँसार की सड़ाहट से बचाने तथा ईश्वरीय स्वभाव के संभागी होने का मार्ग भी दे दिया है (2 पतरस 1:3-4)। इसलिए, बाइबल में होकर परमेश्वर ने पहले से ही हमें उसके बारे में सीखने, उसके सम्मुख आने, उसे और उसकी इच्छा को जानने, उससे संपर्क एवं वार्तालाप करने, अपने जीवन और मार्गों का आकलन करने के माप दण्ड, कि हमारा जीवन हमारे लिए परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार है कि नहीं, सब कुछ हमें पहले से ही दे दिया है। इसलिए, इसका तात्पर्य यही है कि अब इन बातों के बारे में परमेश्वर को किसी को भी कोई नए संदेश अथवा दर्शन देने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, क्योंकि यह सभी कुछ बाइबल में पहले से ही उपलब्ध है। किन्तु यदि अब भी परमेश्वर को जीवन और भक्ति से संबंधित तथा संसार की सड़ाहट से बचने और ईश्वरीय स्वभाव के संभागी होने के लिए, किसी को कोई नए संदेश अथवा दर्शन देने पड़ते हैं, तो इसका यही अर्थ हुआ कि उसने जो 2 पतरस 1:3-4 में लिखवाया है वह सही नहीं है – अर्थात, या तो परमेश्वर ने झूठ बोल, या फिर, परमेश्वर के वचन में गलतियाँ हैं और वह पूर्ण नहीं है, अभी भी उसमें नए दर्शनों और संदेशों के द्वारा और बातें डाले जाने की आवश्यकता है। क्योंकि परमेश्वर कभी झूठ बोल ही नहीं सकता है (गिनती 23:19; 1 शमूएल 15:29; इब्रानियों 6:18), और परमेश्वर का वचन जो प्रभु यीशु मसीह का एक स्वरूप है न तो गलत हो सकता है और न ही अपूर्ण; इसलिए जो बात गलत है, जिस पर कभी विश्वास नहीं करना चाहिए, न ही कभी उसे स्वीकार करना चाहिए, वह है वे दावे जो यह दर्शन और भविष्यवाणियाँ प्राप्त करने का दिखावा करने वाले प्रचार करते हैं, सिखाते हैं; और अकसर उनके बातें न केवल बाइबल के बाहर की होती हैं, बल्कि शायद ही कभी पूरी भी होती हैं। और परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ यह छेड़-छाड़, उसका दुरुपयोग एवं अनादर करना है, अर्थात परमेश्वर का अनादर, उसके साथ दुर्व्यवहार करना है।

Implications of Nature of The Bible - 2

 

    We saw in the previous article that whether in the times of the Old Testament, or of the New, God’s method of communicating with the world was through His few chosen people, the Prophets, the Apostles, and some others, by speaking to them or through visions and dreams. These people then, on God’s behalf, would convey God’s message to the world. God the Holy Spirit had inspired these chosen people of God write down what God communicated to and through them. These writings were compiled under the guidance of the Holy Spirit to give us what we now have as the complete Bible – God’s eternal, inerrant, infallible, unalterable, perfect and complete Word, forever settled in heaven for all eternity.

    So, we see from the history of God’s Word that unlike a popular perception and claim by people of some denominations, God did neither spoke with, nor gave visions and dreams about Himself and what He wanted to communicate, to everybody known by His name, but only to a select few; whether in the Old Testament or the New Testament times. Therefore, for people to nowadays claim receiving direct spoken communication, dreams, visions, from God, and that too about things not already mentioned in the Bible, and then wanting to justify it on the basis of Joel 2:28 is misusing the Scriptures because God will never speak or say anything outside of what He has already given in the Scriptures.

    This completed and compiled Word of God is kept in heaven for all eternity (Psalm 119:89); and God has given more importance to this His Word, than even to His name (Psalm 138:2). In His Word, The Bible, He has already given to us not only everything that pertains to life and godliness; but also the way to escape the corruptions of the world; and become partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:3-4). Therefore, in the Bible, God has given us a complete package to learn about Him, approach Him, know Him, know His will, communicate with Him, evaluate and measure our life and our ways to check if they are in accordance with what God wants from us. Therefore, the implications is that now there is no need for God to give anyone any fresh or new messages or visions about these things, since they have already been made available in the Bible. If still God has to give any new revelations about things pertaining to life and godliness, escaping corruption from the world and being partakers of the divine nature, then that means what was said by Him in 2 Peter 1:3-4 was incorrect – God either lied, or, the Word of God is neither correct nor complete, it still needs to be supplemented with fresh revelations. Since God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Hebrews 6:18), and God’s Word being a physical form of the Lord Jesus cannot be incorrect or incomplete, therefore, the only thing incorrect that should neither be believed nor accepted, is the claim made by those who show-off, preach, and teach receiving such revelations and prophesies, that usually never come to pass and are often extra-Biblical. So, this tampering with God’s Word, is misusing and insulting God’s Word; i.e., is insulting God and maltreating Him.

    पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि बाइबल अनुपम है, न तो इसे सँसार की किसी भी अन्य पुस्तक के समान देखा जा सकता है, और न ही सँसार की किसी पुस्तक से इस की तुलना की जा सकती है, क्योंकि यह परमेश्वर के द्वारा दी गयी है, पवित्र आत्मा की प्रेरणा द्वारा लिखी गई है, और स्वयं प्रभु यीशु का ही एक स्वरूप है जिसे एक उद्देश्य से हमारे हाथों में रखा गया है। बाइबल के इन तथ्यों का अधिकांश लोग एहसास नहीं रखते हैं और न ही उन्हें कोई मान्यता देते हैं, यहाँ तक कि बाइबल पढ़ने वाले और बाइबल में विश्वास रखने वाले अधिकांश मसीही भी नहीं। इसीलिए, यह प्रत्येक मसीही की ज़िम्मेदारी है कि उसे उसका भण्डारी होना है, ताकि वह इसका ध्यान रखे कि परमेश्वर के जीवित वचन बाइबल को उसका उचित आदर और श्रद्धा प्राप्त हो। इस भण्डारीपन का तात्पर्य है यह सुनिश्चित करना कि बाइबल और उसके सत्यों के साथ कभी कोई छेड़-छाड़ न हो, उनका दुरुपयोग, गलत व्याख्या, उनसे अनुचित व्यवहार कभी न हो, और वे हमेशा ही उनके वास्तविक सच्चे स्वरूप में औरों के सामने प्रस्तुत किए जाएं।

    आज हमारे हाथों में पूर्ण बाइबल है, जो पुराने नियम के समयों में नहीं था। उस समय, परमेश्वर अपने लोगों से बातें अपने नबियों और चुने हुए कुछ लोगों में होकर करता था, जिन्हें वह सीधे बात करने के द्वारा, या दर्शनों अथवा स्वप्नों के द्वारा अपनी बात बताता था (गिनती 12:6; दानिय्येल 1:17; 7:1)। दूसरे शब्दों में, परमेश्वर सभी लोगों से सीधे बात नहीं करता था, लेकिन केवल कुछ चुने हुए लोगों में होकर सभी के लाभ के लिए अपनी बात व्यक्त करता था। पवित्र आत्मा उन नबियों और परमेश्वर के चुने हुए लोगों से उसे, जो परमेश्वर ने उन्हें बताया था, व्यक्तिगत पुस्तकों के रूप में लिखवाता था; और इन पुस्तकों को यहूदी पवित्र शास्त्र के रूप में उपयोग करते थे। प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने भी अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के समय इन प्रेरणा द्वारा लिखी गई पुस्तकों में से ही पढ़ा और हवाला दिया (लूका 4:3-12, 16-21)। तो, पुराने नियम के समय में भी, परमेश्वर हर किसी से, प्रत्येक से बात नहीं करता था, वरन थोड़े से चुने हुए लोगों में होकर सभी के लिए अपनी बात कहता था। वह जन-सामान्य से, और अपने लोगों, इस्राएलियों से, अपने नबियों के द्वारा बातें करता था और उसने उनके द्वारा लिखी हुई पुस्तकों को लोगों को उपलब्ध करवाया था जिस से कि उन पुस्तकों का उपयोग उस समय के लोगों तथा आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए परमेश्वर के बारे में सीखने, उन्हें उसकी इच्छा बताने, उनका मार्गदर्शन करने, उन्हें शिक्षा देने, और उन्हें सुधारने के लिए किया जाए (व्यवस्थाविवरण 6:1-9; यहोशू 1:8; 1 शमूएल 3:21; 2 इतिहास 34:18-19, 21, 24-27)। पहली कलीसिया के समय, प्रथम ईस्वी में, सुसमाचार, पत्रियाँ, और अन्य पुस्तकें लिखी गईं; ये भी कुछ ही लोगों – प्रेरितों और कुछ चुने हुए लोगों के द्वारा सभी के उपयोग और लाभ के लिए लिखी गईं। पुराने और नए नियम की इन सभी पुस्तकों को पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में संकलित किया गया, जिस से हमारे लिए परमेश्वर का सम्पूर्ण वचन, जिसे हम “बाइबल” कहते हैं, उपलब्ध हुआ।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Implications of Nature of The Bible - 1

 

    In the previous article we have seen how The Bible is unique, can neither be seen as, nor compared with any other book of the world, since it is God breathed, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God, and is a form of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, that has been placed in our hands for a certain purpose. These Biblical facts are seldom realized and acknowledged by most, even most of the Bible reading and Bible believing Christians. Therefore, it is every Christian Believer’s responsibility, his stewardship to ensure that God’s Living Word The Bible is given its due honor and reverence. This stewardship means ensuring that The Bible and its truths are never be tampered with, are not misused, misinterpreted, mishandled, and are always presented in their actual form to others.

    For now, we will first look at some implications that are inherent in this understanding about the form and nature of God’s Word The Bible that we have seen in the previous article. Then, later, we will consider the various ways in which Satan induces, often inadvertently, these wrong practices about the Bible and things written in it, through the ministry of the Word of God to happen. These errors can be seen even in and through the ministry of some quite knowledgeable, well-known, well-respected, well-meaning, pious, committed Born-Again Christian Believers, preachers and teachers of God’s Word.

    Now, we have the complete Bible in our hands, which was not so in the Old Testament times. At that time God spoke to His people through His Prophets and chosen people, speaking to them directly, or through using visions and dreams as well to communicate what He wanted to say to them and through them (Numbers 12:6; Daniel 1:17; 7:1). In other words, God did not communicate with everyone directly, but only through a few that were chosen by Him for the benefit of all. The Holy Spirit had the Prophets and chosen people of God write what was spoken to them as individual books; which then were used as the Scriptures by the Jews. Even the Lord Jesus in His earthly ministry read from and quoted from these inspired writings (Luke 4:3-12, 16-21). So, even in the Old Testament times, God did not speak with everyone and anyone, but only to and through His chosen few. But He communicated with the general population and His people the Israelites, through His Prophets and He made available their writings to the people, and for posterity, to teach them about Himself, show them His will, guide and instruct them, and correct them (Deuteronomy 6:1-9; Joshua 1:8; 1 Samuel 3:21; 2 Chronicles 34:18-19, 21, 24-27). At the time of the first Church, in the first century AD, the Gospels, the Letters, and other books were written; again through a few – the Apostles and other chosen by God, for the benefit of all. All of these Old and New Testament writings were compiled together under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit to provide for us the completed Word of God which we know as and call “The Bible.”  

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
