मनुष्य की असमर्थता - 2 

 

पिछले लेख से हमने देखना आरम्भ किया है की क्यों परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था मनुष्य का उद्धार नहीं कर सकती है। मूलतः, इसके दो कारण है; पहला है कि मनुष्य व्यवस्था का पालन करने में असमर्थ है; और दूसरा है कि व्यवस्था का उद्देश्य कभी भी उद्धार का मार्ग होने का नहीं था। पिछले लेख से हमने मनुष्य के असमर्थ होने के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है, और देखा है कि किस प्रकार से परमेश्वर ने अपने विषय मनुष्य के साथ संपर्क को बनाए रखा है; उसने एक विशेष जाति को भी चुना, किन्तु औरों को अपने से दूर नहीं किया, उन्हें भी उसके निकट आने के अवसर प्रदान, उनके लिए द्वार को खुला छोड़ा। आज हम इन बातों के बारे में थोड़ा सा और देखेंगे, और देखेंगे की ऐसे या वैसे, अन्ततः परिणाम वही रहा – मनुष्य परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था का पालन करने में असमर्थ ही रहा।

जैसे परमेश्वर ने इस्राएलियों के हाथों में अपनी व्यवस्था दी, वैसे ही संसार के सभी लोगों के सामने परमेश्वर ने अपने विषय सृष्टि में प्रमाण भी रखे (रोमियों 1:20 भजन 19:1-4), और संसार के लोगों को उन बातों को देखने और समझने की सामर्थ्य भी दी, जैसे पूर्व से लोग आकाश के चिह्नों से प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जन्म की बात समझकर उसे देखने के लिए आए थे (मत्ती 2:2)। 

इन सभी बातों के द्वारा परमेश्वर संसार को प्रभु यीशु मसीह के लिए, और अंततः प्रभु द्वारा किए जाने वाले अवश्यंभावी न्याय का सामना करने के लिए तैयार कर रहा था। परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य को उसके व्यवहार के इतिहास के द्वारा दिखा दिया कि वह अपने प्रयासों और कार्यों द्वारा धर्मी होने के लिए कितना अक्षम है। 

हव्वा ने, शैतान की बातों में आकर, वर्जित फल खाने के द्वारा परमेश्वर के समान होने, भले और बुरे का ज्ञान रखने, के मंसूबे बनाए थे (उत्पत्ति 3:5-6)। जैसा कि हमने पिछले लेख में सारे संसार के सभी लोगों के संक्षिप्त इतिहास के अवलोकन के द्वारा देखा था, परमेश्वर ने आदम, हव्वा और उनकी संतानों को लगभग 4000 वर्ष का समय देने के द्वारा दिखा दिया कि उस ज्ञान को पा लेने के बाद भी, चाहे वे परमेश्वर और उसकी व्यवस्था के साथ जुड़े हुए हों, चाहे वे परमेश्वर और उसकी व्यवस्था से पृथक हों, वे शैतान के सामने कितने दुर्बल और अयोग्य हैं, अपने बल, बुद्धि, और ज्ञान से कदापि उसका सामना नहीं कर सकते हैं, न उस पर विजयी हो सकते हैं; वह उन्हें जब चाहे, जैसे चाहे, बहका सकता है, पथभ्रष्ट कर सकता है, गलत बातों और पाप में गिरा सकता है। परमेश्वर ने उन्हें, उन्हीं के अनुभवों के द्वारा दिखा दिया कि अपने आप से, और अपने प्रयासों से वे शैतान पर विजयी होने के लिये कितने असमर्थ हैं। 

 

कुल मिलाकर निष्कर्ष एक ही है, चाहे परमेश्वर मनुष्यों को अपनी व्यवस्था, याजक, देखरेख, और सुरक्षा प्रदान करे, जैसे उसने इस्राएलियों के साथ किया; या चाहे मनुष्यों को धर्मी बनने के लिए उनकी अपनी बुद्धि, समझ, कल्पनाओं और मन-गढ़न्त योजनाओं पर छोड़ दे, जैसा उसने अन्यजातियों के साथ किया; परिणाम एक ही है। जैसा हमने इस शृंखला के आरंभिक लेख में देखा था, अपने किसी भी प्रयास या कार्य से मनुष्य अपने आप से किसी भी रीति से भला, धर्मी, और पवित्र नहीं हो सकता है।

 

मनुष्य की अज्ञानता यही है कि यद्यपि वह शैतान और उसकी युक्तियों के सामने असमर्थ है; यद्यपि वह अपने प्रयासों और कर्मों के द्वारा कभी भी, किसी भी प्रकार से, शैतान की बातों पर विजयी हो पाने के लिए अक्षम है, फिर भी इनके लिए वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दी जाने वाली सहायता और मार्गदर्शन को स्वीकार करने की बजाए, उसका तिरस्कार करता है। और उसके स्थान पर अपने ही विभिन्न प्रकार के व्यर्थ प्रयास करता ही रहता है, और इसे अपनी बुद्धिमता और योग्यता समझता है। मनुष्य, बजाए इसके कि परमेश्वर और उसकी बुद्धिमत्ता पर भरोसा रख कर काम करे, शैतान पर जयवन्त होने के लिये वह अपने ही ज्ञान, समझ, और कार्यों पर अधिक भरोसा रखता है, और इसी लिए शैतान के फंदों से निकलने नहीं पाता है। यह एक प्रकट तथ्य है कि अदन की वाटिका में किए गए पहले पाप से लेकर, आज तक; सब कुछ जानते, देखते, पहचानते, और समझते हुए भी, यहाँ तक कि उद्धार पाने के बाद और परमेश्वर के वचन को जानने के बाद भी, मनुष्य बारंबार, और बहुत बार न चाहते हुए भी, शैतान की युक्तियों में फंस जाता है, और पाप में गिर जाता है। 

शैतान क्यों इतनी सरलता से मनुष्यों पर हावी हो जाता है; क्यों मनुष्य अपने आप से शैतान का सफलता से सामना नहीं करने पाता है, और क्यों मनुष्य के इस व्यवहार को उसकी अज्ञानता कहा गया है; इन बातों को हम आगे के लेखों में देखेंगे। अभी के लिए हमें इस बात पर ध्यान करना है कि अब उनके पापों से उन्हें छुड़ाने वाले सारे जगत के उद्धारकर्ता, प्रभु यीशु मसीह, के आ जाने के बाद, परमेश्वर उनके इसी अज्ञानता के समय के ढिठाई के व्यवहार की अनदेखी करके, उन्हें पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु यीशु को उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने के लिए आज्ञा दे रहा है (प्रेरितों 17:30-31)। जो इस पश्चाताप और प्रभु में विश्वास में नहीं आएंगे, वे फिर नाश हो जाएंगे - इसलिये नहीं कि परमेश्वर चाहता है कि वे नाश हों, या परमेश्वर उन्हें अनन्त विनाश में भेज रहा है; बल्कि इसलिये क्योंकि उन्होंने परमेश्वर की बुलाहट और उपहार का तिरस्कार करने का चुनाव किया, और अपनी ही योग्यताओं और क्षमताओं पर भरोसा रखने का निर्णय लिया, चाहे इसका परिणाम जो भी हो।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Why The Law Cannot Save Us – 2

Man’s Incapability - 2

Since the previous article we have begun to see why God’s Law cannot save man. Basically, there are two reasons; first is man’s incapability to obey the Law; and second is that the purpose of the Law never was its being a means to save. We have started to see about man’s incapability to obey the Law, and had seen how God kept communicating with man about Himself; His choosing a special people for Himself, but also not distancing Himself from the others, providing them with opportunities and leaving the door open for them to come to Him. Today, we will see some more about these issues, and see that one way or another, the net result remains the same – man remains incapable of fulfilling the Law of God.

Just as God put his Law into the hands of the Israelites, similarly God also placed evidence regarding Himself in His creation, for all the people of the world to see and know Him (Romans 1:20; Psalm 19:1-4). And He gave to the people of the world the ability to see and understand those things; e.g., as people from the east had come at the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, having seen and understood by the signs in heaven (Matthew 2:2).

Through all these things, God was preparing the world to receive the Lord Jesus Christ, and ultimately regarding the Lord's impending judgment. God showed man through the history of his behavior, how incapable he is to be righteous by his own efforts and actions.

Eve, deceived by Satan, had plans to become wise like God, through gaining the knowledge of good and evil, by eating the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:5-6). As we had seen in a very brief summary of the history of entire mankind in the last article, God showed Adam, Eve, and their descendants by giving Adam, Eve, and their descendants about 4000 years of time, that even after gaining that knowledge, whether they remained associated with  God and His Law, or outside of being associated with God and His Law, just with their own strength, knowledge, and wisdom there was no way they could not face Satan; he could deceive, mislead, misguide them into sin with impunity any which way and whenever he wanted. God, through their own experiences, despite all their efforts, demonstrated to them how weak and incapable they were of being victorious over Satan on their own.

Overall the conclusion, in either case is the same. Whether God provides His Law, Priests, care, and protection to humans, as He did with the Israelites; Or whether He leaves men to their devices, to their own wisdom, understanding, fantasies and concocted plans to become righteous, as He did with the Gentiles; the net result is the same. As we saw in the opening article of this series, by no means can a man become good, righteous, and holy by his own efforts.

The ignorance of man is that although he is incapable of successfully facing the devil and his devices, although man is incapable of ever overcoming the deviousness of Satan, in any way, by his own efforts and deeds, yet instead of accepting the help that God gives him for these, he chooses to spurn God’s help and guidance. Instead, he keeps on trying in various ways, through his own vain methods, and considers it as his wisdom and ability. Rather than trusting in God, man keeps on trying in vain, through his own wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and deeds to overcome Satan, and therefore, is unable to escape out of Satan's snares. It is an evident fact that since the first sin committed in the Garden of Eden, to the present day; despite knowing, seeing, realizing, and understanding everything; so much so that even after receiving salvation and learning the Word of God, man repeatedly, and many times unwillingly, falls into sin because of Satan's devices. 

Why does Satan so easily overpower humans; why is man not able to successfully face Satan on his own; and why is this behavior of man considered his ignorance; we will see these things in the coming articles. For now, what we have to note and ponder upon is that with the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of all the world, the one who redeems them from their sins; God, is willing to forgive this ignorant and obstinate behavior of men, and therefore, is commanding them to repent and accept the Lord Jesus as Savior (Acts 17:30-31). Those who will not come to this repentance and faith in the Lord will perish - not because God wants them to perish or is sending them into damnation; but because they have chosen to reject God’s call and gift, and have decided to rely on their own abilities, whatever be the consequences.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

बाइबल और जीव-विज्ञान के मध्य सम्बन्ध पर ज़ारी इस चर्चा के अंतर्गत पिछले कुछ लेखों में हम देखते आए हैं कि विज्ञान न तो परमेश्वर और उसके वचन बाइबल के विरुद्ध है, और ना ही परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व और बाइबल की सच्चाई को नकारता है। विज्ञान सृष्टि की हर बात का विश्लेषण करने, उस की रचना के बारे में जानकारी एकत्रित करने, उस की कार्य-विधि को समझने और समझाने का केवल एक साधन मात्र है, जो तथ्यों को प्रकट करता है। उन तथ्यों की व्याख्या करना, उन पर आधारित निष्कर्ष निकालना, उनके अनुसार धारणाएँ प्रस्तुत करना मनुष्यों - वैज्ञानिकों का कार्य है। साथ ही न तो परमेश्वर और न ही बाइबल, विज्ञान के, और उसके द्वारा किये गये सच्चे, खरे, तथ्यपूर्ण खोज-बीन, एवं विश्लेषण के, और वास्तविक, खरे निष्कर्षों के विरुद्ध है। जैसे-जैसे और नई जानकारी प्रकट होती जाती है, वैज्ञानिक अपनी व्याख्या, अपने निष्कर्ष और धारणाएँ भी बदलते चले जाते हैं; कहीं सुधार होता है, तो कहीं पुरानी को पूर्णतः हटाकर नई और बिलकुल भिन्न बात सामने रख दी जाती है। साथ ही, जिस प्रकार से किसी रची हुई वस्तु की रचना और कार्यविधि के बारे में जानकारी मिल जाना इस बात का प्रमाण नहीं हो जाता है कि उसका कोई रचनाकार नहीं था, और न ही यह दिखाता है कि अब, उसके बारे में पता चल जाने के बाद से वह वस्तु स्वचालित रहेगी, स्वतः ही अपने जैसी और बनाती रहेगी, अपने और उन्नत संस्करण उत्पन्न करती रहेगी। उसी प्रकार से परमेश्वर की सृष्टि से सम्बन्धित जानकारी खोज लेने से यह प्रमाणित नहीं हो जाता है कि परमेश्वर नहीं है, सृजी गई वस्तुएँ स्वचालित, स्वयं उत्पन्न होने वाली, और ही स्वयं उन्नत होती चली जाने वाली हैं। 

वास्तव में परमेश्वर और बाइबल विरोधी इस प्रकार की धारणाएँ उन लोगों ने जानबूझकर बनाई और फैलाई हैं जो किसी भी प्रकार से परमेश्वर और बाइबल को नकारना चाहते हैं। अपने इस उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिये वे विज्ञान की आड़ लेकर, विज्ञान के कुछ तथ्यों को दबा देते हैं, कुछ की, खरी और निष्पक्ष नहीं वरन् अपने ही दृष्टिकोण और उद्देश्य के अनुसार पक्षपाती व्याख्या करते हैं, और फिर केवल उसी पक्षपाती व्याख्या को ही फैलाते हैं, और जन-सामान्य में अपनी गढ़ी हुई वास्तविकता से भिन्न बातों को, विज्ञान के स्थापित तथ्य बताकर प्रस्तुत करते हैं। इस आरोप के समर्थन में, ऐसे लोगों के द्वारा वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों के अनुचित और अप्रमाणित निष्कर्ष निकालने, तथ्यों को तोड़ने-मरोड़ने, और यहाँ तक कि कुछ बातों को गढ़ कर, और फिर उन्हें “तथ्य” कहकर दिखाने के कुछ उदाहरण हम ने पिछले कुछ लेखों में देखे थे। और उसके बाद, जब हमने प्रवासन पर विचार आरम्भ किया, तो जीवों के प्रवासन से सम्बन्धित ऐसी बातों के बारे में भी देखा था, जिन के लिये क्रमिक विकास की बहुत धीमी, यदा-कदा होने वाली, अनियमित और अव्यवस्थित, दिशाहीन, और अनियन्त्रित प्रक्रिया के पास कोई सन्तोष-जनक उत्तर नहीं है। हमारे चारों ओर प्रकट बातों और तथ्यों की तुलना में, पक्षियों, मछलियों और तितलियों के प्रवासन के प्राकृतिक जीव-व्यवहार की आधारभूत बातों के बारे में इन विकासवादी वैज्ञानिकों की धारणाओं और तर्कों के विश्लेषण, उन वैज्ञानिकों और उनकी धारणाओं के पक्षपाती होने के आरोप की पुष्टि करते हैं। आज के इस लेख में हम वहीं से आगे बढ़ेंगे जहाँ पिछले लेख में रुके थे, और जीव-जन्तुओं के द्वारा अपने अनुभवों के द्वारा सीखे गये व्यवहारों के आनुवंशिक हो पाने से सम्बन्धित बातों के बारे में आगे विचार करेंगे।

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि, जैसा कि हम सभी जानते हैं और देखते रहते हैं, सीखा हुआ कोई भी व्यवहार अथवा गुण, न तो मनुष्यों में और न ही जीव-जन्तुओं में, कभी भी स्वतः ही आनुवंशिक नहीं बन जाता है, कभी भी अगली पीढ़ी में नहीं पहुँचता है; हर पीढ़ी को उसी बात को फिर से, नए सिरे से सीखना होता है। इसी सन्दर्भ में हमने यह भी देखा था कि किसी भी डाटा और जानकारी को जीवों के डीएनए में कोड दर्ज होकर एक dominant गुण बन जाने के लिये किन अपरिहार्य और असम्भव चरणों से निकलना होगा। इसके लिये पिछले लेख के विश्लेषण और उदाहरणों के अतिरिक्त, आज इस बात को मानवीय क्षमता और कौशल के दृष्टिकोण से देखते हैं। ऐसा हो पाने की जटिलता और सम्भावना की घोर कठिनाई को, आनुवंशिक बीमारियों का इलाज के लिये, मनुष्य द्वारा उन बीमारियों को उत्पन्न करने वाले डीएनए को सुधार कर ठीक कर देने के प्रयासों के दृष्टिकोण से समझिए। माना जाता है कि आनुवंशिकी (Genetics) पर कार्य उन्नीसवीं शताब्दी (1856) में, ग्रेगोर मेन्डेल के कार्य के साथ आरम्भ हुआ था। तब से सारे संसार में इस पर अनेकों प्रकार का शोध कार्य ज़ारी है, और बहुत ढेर सारी जानकारी एकत्रित की जा चुकी है। आज, संसार भर में बहुत ही योजनाबद्ध रीति से बनाए गए बहुत ही जटिल उपकरणों और उन्नत कम्प्यूटरों के साथ, विश्व भर में अनेकों स्थानों पर अनेकों वैज्ञानिकों के कई दशकों से ज़ारी अथक परिश्रम और प्रयासों और दो शताब्दियों से अर्जित हो रहे ज्ञान और समझ का भण्डार उपलब्ध होने के बावजूद, और इन प्रयासों में कई प्रकार की आंशिक सफलताएँ प्राप्त होने के बावजूद, मनुष्य द्वारा डीएनए में लाभकारी बदलाव कर पाने की सटीक प्रक्रिया, अभी भी ठीक से पूर्णतः विकसित एवं सम्भव नहीं होने पाई है। 

अब, इसकी तुलना में, इसकी कितनी सम्भावना है कि प्रवासन से सम्बन्धित समस्त डाटा और जानकारी, एक साथ, एक ही बार में जीवों के डीएनए में, नैसर्गिक गुण के रूप में, स्वतः ही, अनायास ही, आकस्मिक रीति से, dominant और लाभकारी स्थिति में बिल्कुल सटीक ऐसे दर्ज हो जाएगी, जिस से कि ये गुण आने वाली प्रत्येक पीढ़ी को अनिवार्यतः पहुँचते रहें? क्योंकि यदि ऐसा अपनी संपूर्णता में नहीं हुआ, तो प्रवासन सफल नहीं होगा, जीवन रक्षा के लिये विकसित हो रही प्रक्रिया ही जीवन और जाति को समाप्त करने वाली हो जाएगी। गणित के आधार पर, एक अनियन्त्रित, अन्धी, अनेकों वर्षों में यदा-कदा, अनायास होने वाली आकस्मिक प्रक्रिया के अन्तर्गत, इन बातों के होने की सम्भावना क्या होगी, आप स्वयं ही अंदाज़ा लगा लीजिए - सामान्य समझ ही बता देगी कि इस सम्भावना का शून्य से अधिक होना सम्भव नहीं है। जबकि सफल और जीवन रक्षक प्रवासन सम्भव होने के लिए इसका प्रति वर्ष बिल्कुल सही और पूर्ण रूप में उपलब्ध होना अनिवार्य है। 

विश्लेषण की उपरोक्त सभी बातें और प्रश्न बहुत साधारण, सामान्य ज्ञान और समझ की बातें और प्रश्न हैं; और अभी तक का हमारा यह विश्लेषण कुछ ही प्रकार के जीवों के केवल एक ही प्रकार के व्यवहार से सम्बन्धित है। यदि सभी जीवों के सभी व्यवहारों का इसी प्रकार से विश्लेषण करने लगें, तो ऐसे अन्य अनेकों तथ्य सामने आ जाएँगे जो क्रमिक विकास के द्वारा उनके हो पाने को नकार देंगे। विश्लेषण की उपरोक्त सभी बातें और प्रश्न बहुत साधारण, सामान्य ज्ञान और समझ की बातें और प्रश्न हैं। किन्तु विज्ञान के नाम पर कुछ लोग जन-सामान्य की बुद्धि और समझ पर पर्दा डाल देते हैं, वास्तविक सत्य और तथ्य को छुपा कर, दबा कर, और केवल एक पूर्व-निर्धारित धारणा के अनुसार गढ़ी गई व्याख्या और कही गई बात को ही खरा वैज्ञानिक तथ्य, सत्य और सम्भव मान लेने के लिये लोगों को बहका देते हैं।

हमें यह समझना चाहिये कि यद्यपि क्रमिक विकास को एक संज्ञा के समान प्रयोग किया जाता है, किन्तु क्रमिक विकास न तो कोई व्यक्ति या शक्ति है, और न ही को मशीन अथवा कारखाना है। यह केवल उन मनुष्यों के द्वारा गढ़ी गई, बनाई गई एक धारणा है जो किसी भी तरह से, किसी भी कीमत पर परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व को नकारना चाहते हैं; अन्यथा उन्हें परमेश्वर के प्रति उत्तरदायी और आज्ञाकारी होने को भी स्वीकार करना पड़ेगा। यह लड़खड़ाता, अनिश्चित, दिशाहीन, असिद्ध और अपूर्ण क्रमिक विकासवाद केवल एक काल्पनिक प्रक्रिया की धारणा है, जिसे इन लोगों ने उस सिद्ध और संपूर्ण, सर्वज्ञ, सर्वशक्तिमान, कभी कोई भी गलती न करने वाले, तथा हर समय और हर बात में अटल और उद्देश्यपूर्ण, पवित्र और सत्य परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व के विपरीत एक विकल्प के रूप में कल्पित और प्रस्तावित किया है। अपनी इस काल्पनिक धारणा के वास्तविक होने को प्रमाणित करने के लिये वे पिछली दो सदियों से प्रयास करते चले आ रहे हैं, किन्तु आज भी इसे “The Theory of Evolution” (क्रमिक विकासवाद की धारणा) ही कहा जाता है। जैसा हमने प्रवासन से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों के विश्लेषण से देखा है, क्रमिक विकासवाद के आधार पर बताए और सिखाए जाने वाले प्रवासन के अधिकाँश तथ्य, वास्तविक तथ्य हो ही नहीं सकते, अन्यथा वे जीव जन्तु सुरक्षित रहने की बजाए लुप्त हो जाते।  

किन्तु बाइबल का परमेश्वर हमें बताता है कि ये और ऐसे सभी प्राणियों के सभी गुण, सभी प्राणियों में उसी ने दिए हैं, ये सभी उसकी सृष्टि की योजना का भाग हैं; उसकी बुद्धिमता और कार्य-कौशल तथा महानता का प्रमाण हैं। लगभग 4000 वर्ष प्राचीन अय्यूब की पुस्तक में जीव-जन्तुओं के गुणों को आधार बना कर, परमेश्वर अय्यूब से, जो अभी तक स्वयं को बहुत धर्मी, निर्दोष, और सही समझता आ रहा था, उन गुणों के बारे में उसे याद दिला कर, उससे उसके ज्ञान और समझ के बारे में प्रश्न करता है; उससे पूछता है कि क्या उसमें सृष्टि को जानने और समझने की बुद्धि और क्षमता है (अय्यूब 39-41 अध्याय)? और सृष्टि की अद्भुत बातों का बोध होते ही, तुरन्त ही अय्यूब को परमेश्वर की तुलना में अपनी वास्तविकता तथा मूर्खता का बोध हो जाता है; और उसकी यह प्रतिक्रिया विचार करने योग्य है (अय्यूब 40:3-5; 42:1-6)। 

इन्हीं बातों को आधार बना कर परमेश्वर अपने लोगों से, उनकी परमेश्वर के प्रति अनाज्ञाकारिता के लिए उलाहना देता है “आकाश में लगलग भी अपने नियत समयों को जानता है, और पणडुकी, सूपाबेनी, और सारस भी अपने आने का समय रखते हैं; परन्तु मेरी प्रजा यहोवा का नियम नहीं जानती” (यिर्मयाह 8:7)। साथ ही इन छोटे और नगण्य प्रतीत होने वाले जीवों में जो गुण उस ने डाले हैं, उन से शिक्षा लेने की भी सलाह देता है “पृथ्वी पर चार छोटे जन्तु हैं, जो अत्यन्त बुद्धिमान हैं: च्यूटियां निर्बल जाति तो हैं, परन्तु धूप काल में अपनी भोजन वस्तु बटोरती हैं; शापान बली जाति नहीं, तौभी उनकी मान्दें पहाड़ों पर होती हैं; टिड्डियों के राजा तो नहीं होता, तौभी वे सब की सब दल बान्ध बान्ध कर पलायन करती हैं; और छिपकली हाथ से पकड़ी तो जाती है, तौभी राजभवनों में रहती है” (नीतिवचन 30:24-28)। बाइबल में ऐसे ही अनेकों अन्य खण्ड और पद हैं जो सृष्टि की हर बात में परमेश्वर की बुद्धिमता और ज्ञान के बारे में बताते हैं; और मनुष्य को अपने बहुत ही सीमित ज्ञान और क्षमता को लेकर घमण्डी नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर के सामने नतमस्तक और विनम्र होने के लिये चिताते हैं।

बाइबल काल्पनिक किस्से-कहानियों की पुस्तक नहीं, परमेश्वर का सत्य वचन है। उस में परमेश्वर ने अपने विषय एक बहुत सीमित प्रकटीकरण दिया है। जो थोड़ा सा उसने हम पर प्रकट किया है, वही इतना अद्भुत, विलक्षण, और अनुपम है, कि दाऊद ने कहा “यह ज्ञान मेरे लिये बहुत कठिन है; यह गम्भीर और मेरी समझ से बाहर है” (भजन 139:6)। जब परलोक में हम उसके सामने होंगे, तब परमेश्वर के लोगों के लिए जो तैयार किया गया है उसके विषय परमेश्वर ने लिखवाया, “परन्तु जैसा लिखा है, कि जो आंख ने नहीं देखी, और कान ने नहीं सुना, और जो बातें मनुष्य के चित्त में नहीं चढ़ीं वे ही हैं, जो परमेश्वर ने अपने प्रेम रखने वालों के लिये तैयार की हैं” (1 कुरिन्थियों 2:9) - साधारण शब्दों में, वे बातें इतनी अद्भुत हैं कि हम मानवीय बुद्धि और क्षमता से उनकी कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकते हैं। 

अभी तक हम बाइबल में जीव-विज्ञान से सम्बन्धित बातों को देखते आए हैं, अगले लेख से हम बाइबल में दी गई भौतिक विज्ञान से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को देखेंगे। परन्तु अभी तक की हमारी चर्चा के आधार पर, अब यह निर्णय आपको लेना है कि आप किस की मानेंगे, किस पर विश्वास करेंगे - विज्ञान और तथ्यों के नाम पर बदलती रहने वाली बातों, काल्पनिक, अप्रमाणित मन-गढ़न्त धारणाओं को सिखाने वालों पर; या कभी न बदलने वाले, कभी झूठ न बोलने, सदा हमारा भला ही चाहने और करने वाले परमेश्वर पर? उस प्रेमी सच्चे सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर पर जिसने हम से इतना प्रेम किया है कि हमारे उद्धार के लिए अपने पुत्र तक को बलिदान कर दिया, जिससे कि उसकी अनाज्ञाकारिता और अवहेलना करते रहने वाले हम पापी मनुष्यों को उससे मेल-मिलाप कर लेने, उसके पास लौट आने का मार्ग मिल सके? यदि आपने परमेश्वर के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय लिया है, तो आपके द्वारा स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से अपने पापों के प्रति पश्चातापी मन के साथ आप के द्वारा की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना “हे प्रभु यीशु, मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने मन, ध्यान, विचार, व्यवहार में जाने-अनजाने पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आप ने मेरे पापों के दंड को अपने ऊपर लेकर मेरे बदले में उनकी सज़ा को क्रूस पर बलिदान देकर पूरा कर दिया है। कृपया मेरे पाप क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, मेरे पापी मन और जीवन को बदल कर अपना मुझे अपने साथ ले लें” आपके जीवन को बदल देगी, पापी मन को बदल कर आपको परमेश्वर की संतान बना देगी।

Bible and Bio-Sciences - 9 - Evolution & Animal Behavior Part - 7

 

In the previous articles in this series on Bible and Bio-Sciences, we have seen that science is neither against God, nor against His Word the Bible; and neither does it disprove the existence of God or the truth of the Bible. Science is only a tool, a method of analyzing the creation, learning and gathering facts and information about its components, and about learning and understanding their working mechanisms. To interpret and explain those facts, draw conclusions based on them, and then present their concepts about them is man’s - the scientist’s work. Also, neither God nor the Bible are against science; nor do they forbid an honest, sincere, factual research and analysis or its unbiased, correct, and verifiable conclusions. As new knowledge comes up, scientists keep changing their interpretations, conclusions, and their concepts about things; at times they modify and improve the existing concepts, at others they discard and replace the existing with totally new and different concepts. Also, just as learning about a created thing does not prove that it never had a creator, nor does it say that from now on, after learning about it, that thing will become self-sustaining, self-replicating and self-developing; similarly learning about the creation of God does not disprove the existence of God, nor does it mean that henceforth creation will be self-sustaining, self-replicating, and self-developing. 

Actually, these concocted concepts against God and the Bible have been created, spread, and popularized by those who, in any which way they can, want to deny the existence of God and the truth of the Bible. To do this, they suppress some facts, interpret others, not factually and impartially, but according to their own biases and purposes, and then spread their contrived conclusions amongst the common people as established and proven facts of “Science.” In support of this allegation, in the previous articles, we have seen some examples of their misinterpreting, distorting, and even going to the extent of conjuring up some things and then putting them up as “scientific facts” to propagate their false, unproven conclusions. And, after this, we had begun considering migration of animals; while doing this we had seen examples from natural animal-behavior of the migration of birds, fishes, and butterflies; things for which no satisfactory answer can be given on the basis of a gradual, random, only occasionally successful in many years, directionless, uncontrolled evolutionary process. In contrast to the observable facts, an analysis of the basic concepts related to the natural behavior of animal migration put forward by these evolutionary scientists only confirms the allegation that their conclusions are biased, not factual. In today’s article we will carry on and move forwards from where we left off in the last article, we will consider some more things related to animal behavior and their genetic connection.

In the previous article we saw that, as we all know and keep observing, any learned behavior or trait—neither in humans nor in living creatures—ever becomes genetic on its own, nor does it ever pass on to the next generation; every generation has to learn the same thing again, afresh. In this context, we also saw the unavoidable and impossible stages any data and information would have to pass through in order to be coded into the DNA of living beings and become a dominant trait. Besides the analysis and examples of the previous article, today we look at doing this matter through human capability and skill. Try to understand the complexity of this happening and the extreme difficulty of its possibility by looking at it from the perspective of humanity’s efforts to cure genetic diseases, by correcting the DNA that causes those diseases. It is believed that work on Genetics began in the nineteenth century (1856) with the work of Gregor Mendel. Since then, various kinds of research have been going on all over the world, and a vast amount of information has been collected. Today, despite the availability of a reservoir of knowledge and understanding accumulated over two centuries, despite the tireless efforts and labor of countless scientists across the world for several decades, using highly complex and systematically designed instruments and advanced computers, and despite achieving many kinds of partial successes in these efforts, the precise process by which humans can make beneficial changes in DNA has still not been fully developed or made completely possible.

Now, in comparison to this, how likely is it that all the data and information related to migration would, all at once, in a single instance, automatically, effortlessly, incidentally, and randomly get recorded into the DNA of living beings as a natural trait, in a perfectly precise, dominant, and beneficial form, such that these traits would necessarily continue to be passed on to every coming generation? Because if this does not happen in its complete entirety, migration will not succeed; the very process that is developing as a trait for survival would instead become one that destroys life and the species. Mathematically, you can imagine the probability of these things happening spontaneously under an uncontrolled, blind, accidental process that occurs only occasionally over many years? Common sense alone will tell you that this probability cannot be greater than zero. Whereas, for successful and life-saving migration to be possible, its complete and perfectly correct availability every year is absolutely necessary.

All the above points and questions of analysis are very simple matters of common knowledge and understanding; and so far, our analysis relates only to one type of behavior in only a few kinds of living beings. If we were to analyze all behaviors of all living beings in this same way, many other such facts would come to light that would deny the possibility of their occurrence through gradual evolution, ever. All the above points and questions of analysis are very simple matters of common knowledge and understanding. Yet, in the name of science, some people place a veil over the intellect and understanding of the general public, hiding and suppressing the real truth and facts, and misleading people into accepting only an explanation fabricated according to a predetermined assumption, as true scientific fact, truth, and possibility.

We must understand that although evolution is used like a noun, but evolution itself is neither a person nor a power, nor is it a machine or a factory. It is merely a concept fabricated and constructed by people who want, in any way and at any cost, to deny the existence of God; otherwise, they would also have to accept being accountable and obedient to God. The bumbling, uncertain, directionless, imperfect evolutionism is only a hypothetical process imagined and proposed by these people, as an alternative to the perfect, omniscient, omnipotent, infallible, ever-purposeful and unchanging in and for all things, holy and true God. And, they have been trying to prove the reality of evolution for the past two centuries, yet even today it is called “The Theory of Evolution.” As we have seen from the analysis of certain aspects related to migration, most of the migration-related facts explained and taught on the basis of evolutionism cannot actually be real facts; otherwise, instead of surviving, those living creatures would become extinct.

But the God of the Bible tells us that all these migratory traits, and all the traits of all living beings, have been given by Him to all creatures; all of these are part of His plan of creation; they are evidence of His intelligence, wisdom, skill, abilities, workmanship, and greatness. In the book of Job, that is nearly 4,000 years old, God, using the traits of animals as a basis, reminds Job about these traits, and questions him about his knowledge and understanding; since Job until then had been considering himself very righteous, blameless, and correct about everything. God asks him whether he has the wisdom and ability to understand and know the things about God’s creation (Job chapters 39–41)? Immediately, as soon as Job realizes the astounding wonder of God’s creation, he also immediately realizes his true state and his foolishness, in contrast to God; and his response is worth considering (Job 40:3–5; 42:1–6).

Based on these things, God has rebuked His people for their disobedience to God. “Even the stork in the heavens Knows her appointed times; And the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow Observe the time of their coming. But My people do not know the judgment of the Lord” (Jeremiah 8:7). While at the same time, He also advises us to learn from the qualities he has instilled in these small and seemingly insignificant creatures, "There are four things which are little on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise: The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer; The rock badgers are a feeble folk, Yet they make their homes in the crags; The locusts have no king, Yet they all advance in ranks; The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings' palaces” (Proverbs 30:24-28). There are many other similar passages and verses in the Bible that speak of God's wisdom and knowledge in everything in creation; and they also caution man to not be proud and haughty, but be humble and maintain a head bowed before God.

The Bible is not a book of fiction and imaginary tales, but the true Word of God. In it God has given to us only a very limited revelation about Himself. What little He has revealed to us is so wonderful, astounding, and extra-ordinary, that David said, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it” (Psalm 139:6). God got written in His Word about what He has prepared for His people, once they are with Him after their earthly life, "But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9) - in simple words, the things about God and heaven are so wonderful that with our human intelligence and abilities, we cannot even imagine about them. 

So far, we have been considering things related to the Bio-Sciences that are written in the Bible; from the next article we will begin looking at some things related to the Physical Sciences written in the Bible. But now, it is up to you to decide whom you will believe, whom you will put your faith upon - those who avoid truth and teach contrived facts and things that keep changing in the name of “science”; Or on God who never changes, never tells lies, always wants and does everything for our best? Are you willing and ready to put your trust in the true, loving, Creator God who has loved us so much that He even sacrificed His Son for our salvation, so that we sinners who have been disobedient to Him, and been deliberately ignoring Him, may be reconciled to Him, may have the way to return back to Him? If you have made your decision in God's favor, a short prayer, "Lord Jesus, I confess that, in my mind, thought, attitudes, and behavior I have knowingly or unknowingly committed sins. I accept and believe that you have taken my sins upon yourself and fulfilled the punishment for my sins by your sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary, for me. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, change my sinful mind and life and take me with you" said by you voluntarily, willingly, and sincerely, while repenting of your sins, will change your life, change you from being a sinner, into being a blessed child of God.

पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम देखते आ रहे हैं कि यद्यपि परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल, कोई विज्ञान की पुस्तक नहीं है, बल्कि आज से हजारों वर्ष पहले, साधारण और सामामान्यतः अशिक्षित लोगों तक, उन्हे समझ आ सकने वाली सरल भाषा में लिखा गया परमेश्वर के संदेशों सँकलन है, परन्तु परमेश्वर ने बाइबल में हर प्रकार की जानकारी लिखवाई है। हमने यह भी देखा है कि बाइबल और विज्ञान में कोई टकराव, कोई विरोधाभास नहीं है; और होना सम्भव भी नहीं है। ऐसा इसलिये क्योंकि यह एक सामान्य ज्ञान का साधारण सा तथ्य है कि हर रची हुई व्यस्त, हमेशा अपने रचीयता की पुष्टि ही करती है, उसी के पक्ष में गवाही देती है, कभी उसके विरुद्ध नहीं। और ऐसा ही एक और साधारण सामान्य ज्ञान की बात है कि किसी रचना के बारे में जान लेना, उसकी कार्य-विधि को समझ लेना, यह प्रमाणित नहीं करता है कि उसका कोई रचीयता था ही नहीं, वह स्वतः ही अस्तित्व में आ गई; बल्कि उसके रचीयता की बुद्धि, समझ, ज्ञान, और रचनात्मकता आदि बातों को ही दिखाता है। इसी प्रकार से विज्ञान केवल एक माध्यम है, एक साधन है जो हमें परमेश्वर की सृष्टि की बातों को दिखाता और समझाता है; और जितना जैसे-जैसे उसकी समझ बढ़ती जाती है, वह बदलता रहता है, उन्नत होता जाता है, सदा गतिशील रहता है, किन्तु सिद्ध, सम्पूर्ण, और अपरिवर्तनीय नहीं है। उपरोक्त तर्कों को यदि हम बाइबल और विज्ञान के संदर्भ में देखें, तो विज्ञान सृष्टि का सृष्टिकर्ता होने की पुष्टि करता है, उस सिद्ध, सम्पूर्ण, और अपरिवर्तनीय सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर की अगम्य बुद्धि, ज्ञान, समझ, और रचनात्मकता को दिखाता है। दूसरे शब्दों में, विज्ञान एक सिद्ध, सम्पूर्ण, अपरिवर्तनीय सृष्टिकर्ता और उसकी अगम्य बुद्धि, ज्ञान, समझ, और रचनात्मकता की ओर संकेत करता है। इसका यह अर्थ भी है कि असिद्ध, सदा परिवर्तनीय, सदा विकसित होते रहने वाला विज्ञान, कभी भी सिद्ध, अपरिवर्तनीय, सम्पूर्ण सृष्टिकर्ता के बारे में कोई निर्णय देने का आधार नहीं हो सकता है। और इन बातों की पुष्टि हम बाइबल में लिखी सृष्टि, अंतरिक्ष, पृथ्वी से संबंधित बातों के द्वारा देख चुके हैं। इसलिये, यह आम धारणा बिल्कुल गलत और निराधार है कि विज्ञान ने बाइबल को अप्रमाणित कर दिया है, मिथ्या दिखा दिया है, और बाइबल तथा विज्ञान परस्पर विरोधी हैं - यह किसी भी तरह से परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व को नकारने वालों के द्वारा फैलाया गया झूठ है।

बाइबल की प्रथम पुस्तक, उत्पत्ति का पहला अध्याय, परमेश्वर के द्वारा समस्त सृष्टि की रचना किए जाने का वृतांत है। उत्पत्ति के आरंभिक अध्यायों से हम देखते हैं कि मनुष्य परमेश्वर की सबसे उत्कृष्ट रचना है। अन्य सभी की सृष्टि परमेश्वर ने कहने के द्वारा, अपने शब्द या वचन की सामर्थ्य से की - परमेश्वर ने कहा और वह वैसा ही हो गया। किन्तु मनुष्य को परमेश्वर ने अपने हाथों से, अपने ही स्वरूप में सृजा; उसमें जीवन डालने के लिए परमेश्वर ने अपनी ही श्वास डाली, और उसके लिए ही अदन की वाटिका लगाई, जहाँ परमेश्वर उस के साथ संगति करता था, और फिर अपने ही हाथों से पहले मनुष्य आदम के लिए एक सहायक बनाया (उत्पत्ति 1:26-28; 2:8, 15, 18; 3:8)। परमेश्वर ने पृथक मनुष्य की नर और मादा स्वरूप में सृष्टि की, और उन्हें आशीष देकर कहा कि वे सारी पृथ्वी में फैल जाएं, उसे अपनी अधीनता में ले लें। आज हम बाइबल में लिखी मनुष्य की रचना से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को देखेंगे। 

क्रमिक विकासवाद (Evolution) के पास इसका कोई उत्तर नहीं है कि क्यों और कैसे विभिन्न जीव-जन्तुओं और वनस्पतियों आदि में प्रजनन और जाति को बढ़ाने के विभिन्न तरीके आए। जन्तुओं और वनस्पतियों की विभिन्न प्रजातियों में ऐसे कितने ही उदाहरण हैं जिनमें नर और मादा का भेद नहीं है; वे अपने एक ही स्वरूप से अपने समान अगली पीढ़ी उत्पन्न करते हैं। कई पौधों की प्रजातियों में एक ही पौधे में नर और मादा फूल अलग-अलग होते हैं - एक ही डाली या एक ही पौधे में दोनों प्रकार के फूल, तथा अन्य प्रजातियों में एक ही फूल में दोनों नर और मादा अंश, और उनके बीज से फिर एक नया पौधा उत्पन्न हो जाता है। यदि प्रजाति का ज़ारी रहना बिना नर-मादा के भिन्न होने से संभव है, और हो रहा है, तो फिर यह नर और मादा स्वरूप क्यों और कैसे विकसित हुए? यदि धीरे-धीरे, विभिन्न चरणों में होकर यह ‘विकास’ होना सम्भव था, तो फिर एक से दूसरे लिंग में क्रमिक परिवर्तन या ‘विकास’ के दौरान, इन अधूरे या अपूर्ण लिंग वाली जीव-प्रजातियाँ किस प्रकार से अपनी अगली पीढ़ी को उत्पन्न करते रहे; क्योंकि आज हम जिन अधूरे विकसित लिंग वाले जीवों और मनुष्यों को देखते हैं, उनमें प्रजनन की क्षमता नहीं होती है? यदि अधूरे विकसित लिंग वाली पीढ़ी, अगली को जन्म नहीं दे सकती थी, तो क्या उस जीव-प्रजाति का अन्त नहीं हो जाता? यदि वे अपूर्ण विकसित लिंग वाले जीव, उस अपूर्णता में भी अपनी प्रजाति को उत्पन्न कर सकते थे, तो फिर आज के अपूर्ण विकसित लिंग वाले जीव प्रजनन क्यों नहीं कर सकते हैं - क्रमिक विकासवाद के पास इसका कोई उत्तर नहीं है। किन्तु उपरोक्त बाइबल के हवाले स्पष्ट बताते हैं कि परमेश्वर ने आरंभ से ही मनुष्य को नर और मादा की भिन्नता के साथ, अलग-अलग दायित्वों के निर्वाह के लिए उत्पन्न किया (देखिए उत्पत्ति 2:24; मरकुस 10:6-8)।

    विज्ञान ने मनुष्य के शरीर की रचना और कार्य विधि की जटिलता और उसके अद्भुत होने को अपने नए उपकरणों के द्वारा पहचानना आरंभ किया है; किन्तु परमेश्वर ने अपने भक्त राजा दाऊद, जिसका जन्म 1085 ईस्वी पूर्व में हुआ था, के द्वारा लिखे गए एक भजन में इस तथ्य को आज से लगभग 2800 से भी अधिक वर्ष पूर्व लिखवा दिया था, “मैं तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा, इसलिये कि मैं भयानक और अद्भुत रीति से रचा गया हूं। तेरे काम तो आश्चर्य के हैं, और मैं इसे भली भांति जानता हूं” (भजन 139:14 )। 

इसी प्रकार मनुष्य के जीवन और स्वास्थ्य के बारे में भी बहुत सी बातें हैं, जिन्हें विज्ञान ने अब पहचाना और माना है, किन्तु परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन बाइबल की पुस्तकों में उन्हें हजारों वर्षों से लिखवा रखा है। मनुष्य और मनुष्य के जीवन से संबंधित तथ्यों के कुछ उदाहरण देखते हैं:

आज से लगभग 2000 वर्ष पूर्व, पौलुस प्रेरित ने अपने एक सुसमाचार प्रचार में कहा था, “उसने एक ही मूल से मनुष्यों की सब जातियां सारी पृथ्वी पर रहने के लिये बनाईं हैं; और उन के ठहराए हुए समय, और निवास के सिवानों को इसलिये बान्‍धा है” (प्रेरितों 17:26); और उत्पत्ति की पुस्तक जो आज से लगभग 3400 वर्ष पूर्व लिखी गई, उसके 5 अध्याय में आदम और हव्वा से उत्पन्न होने वाली संतानों के नाम और उनकी संक्षिप्त वंशावली दी गई है - अर्थात सारी मानवजाति उस एक ही मूल, आदि पुरुष, आदम की संतान हैं। वैज्ञानिकों ने जब मनुष्य के डीएनए के अध्ययन किए, तो उन्हें मनुष्य की रचना और इतिहास के बारे में कई अद्भुत बातें पता चलीं। 1995 में 38 विभिन्न जातियों के वंशों के डीएनए के अध्ययन के द्वारा यह सामने आया कि चाहे वे आज विभिन्न और पृथक जातियाँ हैं, किन्तु मूल में वे सभी एक ही मूल पुरुष से निकल कर आए हैं! यह बात बाइबल में हजारों वर्ष पहले लिखी गई बात के पूर्णतः अनुरूप है।

वैज्ञानिकों में असमंजस है कि गर्भ-धारण होने से कितने समय बाद भ्रूण को जीवित कहा जा सकता है। किन्तु बाइबल बताती है कि भ्रूण के गर्भ में आने के समय, उसके आरंभ से ही वह एक जीवित प्राणी है, जिसके विषय परमेश्वर ने योजना बना रखी है, उद्देश्य निर्धारित किया हुआ है, जैसा परमेश्वर ने यिर्मयाह नबी से कहा: “गर्भ में रचने से पहिले ही मैं ने तुझ पर चित्त लगाया, और उत्पन्न होने से पहिले ही मैं ने तुझे अभिषेक किया; मैं ने तुझे जातियों का भविष्यद्वक्ता ठहराया” (यिर्मयाह 1:5); अर्थात परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में वह आरंभ से ही एक जीवित व्यक्ति है, जो कुछ समय के बाद मनुष्य के स्वरूप में दिखने लगेगा, जन्म लेगा, और फिर बड़ा होकर परमेश्वर के उद्देश्यों को पूरा करेगा। आज विज्ञान भी यह जानता और मानता है कि उस भ्रूण के गर्भ में स्थापित होने के समय, जब वह एक कोशिका (cell) ही होता है, तब भी उस एक कोशिका में वही जीवन होता है जो उसके गर्भ से बाहर जन्म लेने के समय होता है, और उस एक कोशिका में विद्यमान डीएनए में वह संपूर्ण जानकारी विद्यमान होती है जिसके द्वारा वह भ्रूण एक कोशिका से बढ़कर मनुष्य रूप में जन्म लेता, और बढ़ता है, कार्य करता है।

अगले लेख में हम मनुष्य के स्वास्थ्य से सम्बन्धित बाइबल में लिखी कुछ बातों को देखेंगे। परन्तु अभी, इस पर कुछ गम्भीरता से विचार कीजिये: जिस परमेश्वर ने आपको और मुझे अपने स्वरूप में, अद्भुत रीति से रचा है, अपनी श्वास से हमें जीवन दिया है, जो आज दिन तक हमारी देखभाल करता आ रहा है, और हमें अपनी पृथ्वी और प्रकृति के संसाधानों का प्रयोग खुले दिल से करने दे रहा है, वह हम में से प्रत्येक को, हमारे मनों की भावनाओं और विचारों को, हमारी भीतरी-बाहरी वास्तविक दशा को, हमारे मन, विचार, शरीर में किए गए हर पाप को जानता है। चाहे हम उसे स्वीकार करें या न करें; उसके आज्ञाकारी बनें अथवा न बनें; वह हम से बहुत प्रेम भी रखता है, हमारी चिंता भी करता है। वह चाहता है कि उसका रचा हुआ प्रत्येक जन, वह चाहे जिस भी दशा में है, वैसा ही उसके पास आ जाए, उस से मेल-मिलाप कर ले, जिससे परमेश्वर उसे पापों से स्वच्छ और शुद्ध करे, तथा शैतान द्वारा बहकाए जाकर अनन्त-विनाश में डाल देने से बचा सके। उसने इस मेल-मिलाप का मार्ग प्रभु यीशु मसीह में होकर तैयार किया और उपलब्ध करवाया है। वह अपेक्षा रखता है कि हम उसकी सृष्टि और अपनी रचना द्वारा उसके अस्तित्व को पहचानें और स्वेच्छा से समय रहते उसके पास आ जाएं, उसे समर्पित और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता का जीवन व्यतीत करें, और उसकी आशीषों की भरपूरी का आनन्द प्राप्त करें। सच्चे मन और स्वेच्छा से की गई आपकी एक छोटी सी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं स्वीकार करता हूँ कि मैं पापी हूँ, और आपने मेरे पापों के लिए क्रूस पर अपना बलिदान दिया है। कृपया मेरे पाप क्षमा करें, मुझे स्वीकार करें, अपनी शरण में लेकर मुझे अपना आज्ञाकारी जन बनाएं” आपको अनन्त विनाश से अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों में लाकर खड़ा कर देगी। क्या आप आज, अभी यह निर्णय लेंगे? आपको अद्भुत रीति से रचने वाला आपका सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर उसके पक्ष में किए गए आपके निर्णय की लालसा रखे हुए प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है!

Bible and Creation of Man

    Over the past few articles we have been considering that although God’s Word the Bible is not a treatise on science, rather, it is a compilation of God’s messages written and given to simple, generally illiterate people, in a simple and straightforward manner so that they could easily understand it; and yet, God has had all kinds of information written in the Bible. We have also seen that there is no contradiction between the Bible and science, and they are not at loggerheads; and neither is this at all possible. This is because of a very simple, straightforward fact of general knowledge that every created thing always confirms the existence of its creator, testifies in only his favor, never against him. Another similar fact of general knowledge is that knowing the composition and working of a creation does not prove that it was not created, but came about by itself; rather it speaks of there being a creator and his wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and creativity. Similarly, science is a method, a tool that shows and helps us understand the things about God’s creation; as its understanding and  knowledge increases, it keeps on improving, developing, and changing; it is dynamic, not static; but it is not perfect, not complete, and not unchanging. On applying these to the Bible and science, we can see that science only points to there being a Creator for the creation. In other words, science testifies of the Perfect, Complete, Unchanging Creator, and His unfathomable wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and creativity. This also implies that the imperfect, everchanging, developing science can never be a standard to pass any judgment on the Perfect, Unchanging, Complete Creator. We have seen affirmation of these through the things related to the universe, space, and earth written in the Bible. Therefore, this popular concept that science has disproven the Bible, shown it to be a collection of myths, and that science and the Bible are contrary to each other, is totally baseless and false - it is a lie that has been spread by those who want to deny the existence of God in any which way they possibly can.

The first book of the Bible, the first chapter of Genesis, is the account of God's creation of the universe. From the opening chapters of Genesis, we see that man is God's greatest creation. All others were created by God by speaking, by the power of His Word - God said and it was so. But man was created by God with his own hands, in his own image. God breathed His own breath to put life into him, and God then set up the Garden of Eden for him, where God had fellowship with him, and then God, with His own hands, made a helper for the first man Adam (Genesis 1:26- 28; 2:8, 15, 18; 3:8). God created human beings in separate male and female forms, and blessed them, said to them to spread all over the earth, taking it under their control. Today we will see some things about man’s creation, written in the Bible.

Evolution does not have any answer as to how and why the different flora and fauna have come up with different methods of reproduction and propagation of their species. There are many examples in different species of animals and plants in which there is no distinction of male and female. They produce their next generation, just like themselves from the same form. Many plant species have separate male and female flowers in the same plant - on the same branch, or both types of flowers in the same plant; and in other species both male and female parts in the same flower, and then from their seeds a similar new plant is born. If the continuation of a species is possible, and is happening, a complete male-female separation, in both the animal and plant kingdoms, then why and how did these separate male and female forms ‘evolve’? If gradual staged development for this was possible, then how could there be intermediate genders as they ‘evolved’ from being unisexual or asexual to bi-sexual, and how could those intermediate genders have been functional; since the intermediate genders we know about today are unable to reproduce? Wouldn’t the species have come to an end if the ‘intermediate’ genders failed to reproduce and bring forth the next generation! - evolution has no answer.  But the above-mentioned Bible quotes clearly state that from the very beginning God created man, with the distinction of male and female genders, to fulfill different responsibilities (see Genesis 2:24; Mark 10:6-8); and He similarly created each living being the way they are.

Science, through its new tools, has now begun to recognize the complex and amazingly intricate working of the human body. But the Lord in a Psalm written by His follower King David, who was born in 1085 B.C. had this fact written about more than 2800 years ago, "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well" (Psalm 139:14).

Similarly, there are many things about man's life and health, which have only now been recognized and accepted by science, but God had them written in His Word, in the books of the Bible thousands of years ago. Let's see some examples of facts related to man and man's life:

About 2000 years ago, the apostle Paul said in one of his gospel messages: “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings" (Acts 17:26); And in the book of Genesis, which was written about 3400 years ago, in its first 5 chapters, are given the names of the children born of Adam and Eve and their brief genealogy - i.e., all of mankind has come from the same original man, the children of Adam. When scientists studied human DNA, they came to know many amazing things about the creation and history of man. In 1995, a study of the DNA of the descendants of 38 different races revealed that although they are different and distinct races today, they all originally descended from the same original male! This is completely in line with what was written in the Bible thousands of years ago.

Scientists are confused about how long after conception can the embryo be called alive or living? But the Bible says that since the time of conception, from the very beginning, the fetus is a living being, for which God has made plans, and set some purposes, as God said to Prophet Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5); i.e., in the eyes of God, from the beginning, he is a living being who after some time will appear in the form of man, will be born, and then grow up to fulfill the purposes of God. Today science also knows and believes that at the time of being implanted in the womb, that embryo, when it is only a single cell, even then there is the same life in that one cell as it is, at the time of its birth outside the womb; and the DNA present in that one cell contains all the information by which that embryo grows from a single cell to be born in the human form, and function accordingly.

In the next article we will see some things related to man’s health, written in the Bible. But for now, please give this a serious thought: The God who has wonderfully created you and me in His image, has given us life with His breath, has been caring for us to this day, and allows us to use the resources of our earth and nature with an open heart, He knows each one of us, the feelings and thoughts of our minds, our inner and outer real condition, every sin committed in our mind, thoughts, and body. Whether we accept Him or not; are obedient to him or not; He still loves us very much and cares for us. He wishes that every one of His creations, in whatever condition they are, should come to Him, and be reconciled to Him, so that God may cleanse and purify him of his sins, and save him from being seduced by Satan into eternal-destruction. He has prepared and provided the way of this reconciliation through the Lord Jesus Christ. He expects that we realize and recognize His existence through His created universe and ourselves, and voluntarily come to Him, while we have the time and opportunity, live a life of submission and obedience to Him, and enjoy the abundance of His blessings. A short sincere prayer from your heart, said voluntarily and willingly, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner, and You have sacrificed Yourself on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins, accept me, take me under your shelter and make me your obedient follower” will take you from eternal destruction to eternal life and heavenly blessings. Will you make this decision today, now? Your wonderful Creator God your Creator is eagerly awaiting your decision made in His favor!
