परमेश्वर के वचन से उचित व्यवहार – 1
परमेश्वर के वचन के भले भण्डारी होने के लिए, हम देखते आ रहे हैं कि क्यों तथा किस प्रकार से शैतान अथक परिश्रम और प्रयासों में लगा रहता है कि परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ छेड़-छाड़, उसमें फेर-बदल, और बिगाड़ करवाए; दोनों ही तरीकों से, अनजाने में भी और जान-बूझकर भी। हमने बाइबल के विभिन्न उदाहरणों से भी देखा था कि बहुधा शैतान यह काम परमेश्वर के लोगों, मसीही विश्वासियों, कलीसिया के अगुवों और प्रमुख लोगों, परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रचारकों और शिक्षकों के द्वारा करवाता है। ये लोग अकसर शैतान की युक्तियों में फँस जाते हैं, और बिना यह एहसास किए कि क्या हो गया है, अनजाने में ही परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ अनुचित व्यवहार कर बैठते हैं। जबकि वास्तव में उनका उद्देश्य था परमेश्वर की स्तुति और महिमा करना, या परमेश्वर के वचन और उसकी शिक्षाओं को बलपूर्वक या फिर आकर्षक और रोचक रीति से प्रस्तुत करना, और उसके लिए अधिक प्रभावी एवं उपयोगी बनना; लेकिन अनजाने में ही अन्ततः वे इसके विपरीत बन जाते हैं। इस विषय पर हमने, अभी तक मुख्यतः जो देखा है, वह रहा है कि परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ हमारे व्यवहार में हमें “क्या नहीं करना है”। आज से हम, प्रेरित पौलुस के उदाहरण के द्वारा, यह देखना आरम्भ करेंगे कि, परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ हमारे व्यवहार में हमें “क्या और कैसे करना है”।
पौलुस का जीवन हमें परमेश्वर को भावता हुआ मसीही जीवन जीने के लिए कई संकेत और उदाहरण प्रदान करता है। अपनी जीवन यात्रा के अंत पर आकर, पौलुस को पता था कि उसके सँसार से कूच करने का समय आ गया है। लेकिन वह इसके बारे में संतुष्ट था, उसे किसी बात के लिए पछतावा नहीं था, और वह प्रसन्नता के साथ प्रभु के पास होने और उससे अपने प्रतिफल प्राप्त करने की प्रतीक्षा में था (2 तीमुथियुस 4:6-8)। सम्पूर्ण बाइबल में पौलुस ही वह एकमात्र व्यक्ति है जो यह कह सका कि, “तुम मेरी सी चाल चलो जैसा मैं मसीह की सी चाल चलता हूं” (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:1)। अकसर इस पद को गलत समझा जाता है, कि, पौलुस कुछ यह बात कह रहा है कि “क्योंकि मैं मसीह की सी चाल चलता हूँ, इसलिए तुम मेरे पीछे-पीछे चलने के द्वारा मसीह के पीछे चलो।” लेकिन पौलुस ने न तो यह कहा और न ही उसका यह अभिप्राय था। पौलुस ने जो कहा है, वह है, “जैसे मैं मसीह का अनुसरण करता, उसके पीछे-पीछे चलता, आ रहा हूँ, उसी प्रकार से तुम भी ऐसा ही करो; तुम भी मसीह के पीछे-पीछे उसी तरह से चलो, जैसे मैं करता आ रहा हूँ।” दूसरे शब्दों में, पौलुस का अनुसरण करने के द्वारा, उसके जीवन और कार्य-शैली से सीखने के द्वारा, परमेश्वर जैसे काम चाहता है और जिस तरह के काम से वह प्रसन्न होता है, उसके सम्बन्ध में हम बाइबल के आधार पर सही और स्थिर भूमि पर हैं।
इससे पहले कि हम परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ पौलुस के व्यवहार को देखें, उसकी इस सेवकाई को बेहतर समझने के लिए, हमें उसकी सेवकाई और उसके परमेश्वर का भण्डारी होने के प्रति उसके रवैये से संबंधित कुछ आधारभूत प्रारम्भिक बातों को देखना होगा।
बाइबल हमें बताती है कि पौलुस एक बहुत शिक्षित, ज्ञानवान फरीसी था, अपने समय के सुविख्यात शिक्षक गमलिएल का शिष्य था (प्रेरितों 5:34; 22:3)। उसके परिवर्तित होने से पहले वह ‘शाऊल’ के नाम से जाना जाता था, और परमेश्वर के लिए बहुत उत्साह एवं जलन रखने वाला था; जो भी लोग, उसकी समझ के अनुसार, परमेश्वर के नाम अथवा स्तर को किसी भी रीति से नीचा करते थे, वह उनके विरुद्ध किसी भी सीमा तक जाने को तैयार था (प्रेरितों 22:3-5; 26:11)। लेकिन जब एक बार उसने मसीह यीशु को अपना प्रभु और उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार कर लिया, तब उसका जीवन और रवैया बिलकुल बदल गया। फिर वह घमण्डी, हठीला, गर्म-दिमाग़ वाला फरीसी नहीं रह गया (फिलिप्पियों 3:4-6)। लेकिन प्रभु परमेश्वर के प्रति उसका उत्साह, जलन और प्रतिबद्धता पहले के समान ही, जितनी मसीह में विश्वास में आने से पहले थी, वैसी ही बने रहे। मसीह यीशु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार कर लेने के बाद, अब वह किसी मनुष्य से नहीं, केवल प्रभु से ही सीखना चाहता था (फिलिप्पियों 3:7-11)। वह बहुत ही दीन बन गया, और अब अपने आप को प्रभु के एक निम्न दास से बढ़कर नहीं समझता था (रोमियों 1:1)। लेकिन वह इस तथ्य के प्रति भी बहुत प्रतिबद्ध था कि उसकी सेवकाई और भण्डारीपन परमेश्वर ही से थे, किसी मनुष्य से नहीं (गलातियों 1:1; 1 तीमुथियुस 1:1)। पौलुस ने मसीही जीवन और विश्वास, तथा उसके द्वारा प्रचार एवं शिक्षाओं की सामग्री को, मनुष्यों से नहीं, बल्कि सीधे प्रभु से प्राप्त किया था (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:23; 15:3; इफिसीयों 3:3-5; गलातियों 1:11-12; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 4:2)। और उसे यह भी एहसास था कि अन्य सभी के समान, उसे भी एक दिन, किसी मनुष्य के नहीं, किसी अन्य के नहीं, बल्कि प्रभु के सामने खड़े होकर अपने जीवन और सेवकाई का हिसाब देना होगा। और जब यह हिसाब लिया और दिया जाएगा, उस समय किसी भी मनुष्य की कोई भी सिफारिश या कैसा भी हस्तक्षेप न तो होगा और न काम आएगा; यह केवल हिसाब देने वाले मनुष्य और प्रभु के बीच, उस मनुष्य के जीवन और कार्यों के अनुसार होगा, (रोमियों 2:6; 14:10-12; 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:8; 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10; गलातियों 6:5; इफिसियों 6:8; कुलुस्सियों 3:24-25)।
अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे की उपरोक्त तथ्यों का पौलुस की सेवकाई, भण्डारीपन, और परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति उसके रवैये तथा व्यवहार पर क्या प्रभाव हुआ।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Appropriately Handling God’s Word – 1
To be proper stewards of God’s Word, we have been looking at how and why Satan keeps striving to have God’s Word tampered, altered, and distorted; both, inadvertently, as well as deliberately. We have also seen through various examples from the Bible, that very often Satan gets this done through God’s people, the Christian Believers, the Church Elders and leaders, and the preachers and teachers of God’s Word. They often tend to fall for Satan’s ploys, and without realizing what has happened, they unintentionally, end up inappropriately manipulating God’s Word. Whereas, their purpose was to either praise and glorify God, or state His Word and its teachings emphatically or in an interesting and attractive manner, and be more effective and useful for Him; but, quite unknowingly they end being quite the opposite. On this topic, essentially, what we have seen so far is “what not to do” in handling God’s Word. From today, through the example of the Apostle Paul, we will begin to look at “what to do and how” when handling the Word of God.
Paul’s life provides us many pointers and examples about living a Christian life, pleasing to God. Towards the end of his life, he knew his time to depart from the world had come. But he was quite content about it, had no regrets, and was happily looking forward to being with the Lord and receiving his rewards from Him (2 Timothy 4:6-8). In the whole of the Bible, Paul is the only person who could say, “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). This verse is often misunderstood as Paul saying something to the effect, “Since I am following Christ, therefore, you follow me to thereby follow Christ.” But that was not what Paul said or meant. What Paul has said is that “just as I have been imitating or following Christ, similarly, you too do the same; you too imitate or follow Christ just as I have been doing.” In other words, in emulating Paul, in learning from his life and manner of doing things, we are safe and on firm Biblical grounds about doing things the way God wants them done; in the manner that pleases God.
Before we see Paul’s manner of handling God’s Word, to understand his ministry better, we need to see some basic preliminary aspects related to his attitude towards his ministry and his understanding of his being God’s steward.
The Bible tells us that Paul was a very learned Pharisee, the student of the renowned teacher of the time, Gamaliel (Acts 5:34; 22:3). Even before his conversion, when he was known as ‘Saul’, he was very zealous for God, willing to go to any extent against those whom he thought were bringing God’s name and stature low in any manner (Acts 22:3-5; 26:11). But once he accepted Christ Jesus as his Lord and Savior, his life and attitude changed radically. He no longer remained the proud, arrogant, hot-headed Pharisee (Philippians 3:4-6). But his zeal and commitment to the Lord God and to the ministry entrusted to him by God remained as overwhelming as it was before his coming to faith in Christ Jesus. After accepting Christ Jesus as his Savior, he now wanted to learn not from any man, but from the Lord (Philippians 3:7-11). He greatly humbled himself, now considering himself no more than a lowly servant of the Lord (Romans 1:1). But he was also very committed to the fact that his appointment to his ministry and stewardship was from God, not any person (Galatians 1:1; 1 Timothy 1:1). Paul received his learning about the Christian life and faith, and the matter for his preaching and teaching, not from any person, but directly from the Lord (1 Corinthians 11:23; 15:3; Ephesians 3:3-5; Galatians 1:11-12; 1 Thessalonians 4:2). And, he also knew that, like everyone else, he too will have to stand before the Lord and give an account of his life and ministry not to any person, not to anyone else, but to the Lord. And when this accounting is taken and given, at that no intervention of any kind, no recommendation from any person will neither be allowed nor be of any use; it will be a matter only between the person giving an account and the Lord, done according to the life and works of that person (Romans 2:6; 14:10-12; 1 Corinthians 3:8; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Galatians 6:5; Ephesians 6:8; Colossians 3:24-25).

Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
