निर्गमन 12:6 - बलिदान का मेमना और
प्रभु की मेज़ (1)
प्रभु
भोज के हमारे इस अध्ययन में हमने देखा है कि प्रभु भोज के प्ररूप पुराने नियम में
निर्गमन 12 में; तथा व्यवस्था में फसह
के रूप में पाए जाते हैं। प्रभु की मेज़ या प्रभु भोज को प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों के
लिये स्थापित किया था, फसह की उस सामग्री में से लेकर जिसे
परमेश्वर ने अपने चुने हुए लोगों, इस्राएल, के लिये तय किया था। न तो फसह, और न ही प्रभु भोज,
कभी भी परमेश्वर के लोगों के अतिरिक्त किसी अन्य के भाग लेने के
लिये दिये गए थे। फसह पर आधारित प्रभु की मेज़ को स्थापित करते समय न तो प्रभु यीशु
ने, और न ही बाद में नए नियम की पत्रियों को लिखवाते समय
पवित्र आत्मा ने कभी भी फसह से संबंधित परमेश्वर के किसी भी निर्देश को न तो
निरस्त किया, न उस में कोई बदलाव किया, और न ही उस की किसी बात के स्थान पर कोई अन्य बात डाली; केवल उन्हीं के आधार पर और आगे के निर्देश दिये। हमने यह भी देखा है कि न
तो फसह में भाग लेने से कभी कोई इस्राएली या परमेश्वर का चुना हुआ बना; और, आम धारणा के विपरीत, न ही
प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने से कोई परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य या स्वर्ग में प्रवेश के
योग्य ठहराया गया। वरन, प्रभु भोज में भाग लेना केवल नया
जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों ही के लिये है; और इसमें
अनुचित रीति से भाग लेना परमेश्वर के न्याय और दण्ड को निमंत्रण देना है (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:28-30)। शैतान परमेश्वर की बातों से
संबंधित अनेकों गलत शिक्षाओं और सिद्धांतों को मसीहियत में इसलिए घुसाने और
स्थापित करने पाया है क्योंकि लोग अपने लिये परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करने और
उसे सीखने के प्रति उदासीन और बेपरवाह हो गए हैं; उन्हें
परमेश्वर के नाम में जो भी बताया और सिखाया जाता है उसे स्वीकार करने से पहले वचन
से जाँचने और परखने में उन्हें कोई रुचि नहीं है; और वो
परमेश्वर को नहीं मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करने वाले बन गए हैं, अर्थात,
परमेश्वर के निर्देशों को जानने और मानने की बजाए, अपने धार्मिक अगुवों की बातों को मानने और पालन करने के लिए तत्पर रहने
वाले हो गए हैं।
इससे
पिछले लेख में हमने फसह के बलि के मेमने के विषय परमेश्वर द्वारा कहे गए गुणों
देखा था और यह देखा था कि वे सभी गुण प्रभु यीशु मसीह का पूर्वाभास हैं; उस प्रभु का जो परमेश्वर का मेमना है और सारे संसार के सभी लोगों के पाप
से छुटकारे और उद्धार के लिए बलिदान किया गया। आज हम फसह के मेमने के प्रभु यीशु
के बलिदान का पूर्वाभास होने को और आगे देखेंगे, तथा यह भी
देखेंगे कि प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना कोई हल्की बात नहीं है, और इसे किसी भी रीति से एक औपचारिकता के समान यूं ही नहीं लिया जा सकता
है।
निर्गमन
12:6 - निर्गमन 12:3 में लिखा है कि
इस्राएलियों को निर्धारित गुणों वाले एक मेमने को महीने के दसवें दिन लेना था,
और 6 पद कहता है कि चौदहवें दिन, गोधूलि के समय मेमने को बलि चढ़ाया जाना था। उसे बलि चढ़ाने तक, जब भी उस घर के लोग उस मेमने को देखते होंगे, उसे
खाना-पानी देते होंगे, उनके मनों में यह विचार आता होगा कि
हमारे मिस्र के दासत्व से छुटकारे के लिये इस निर्दोष और मासूम को बलि होना पड़ेगा।
आज
ईसाई या मसीही समाज जिसे “खजूर का इतवार” के नाम से मनाता है, यह वह दिन है जब प्रभु यीशु यरूशलेम गदहे पर सवार होकर आया था (यूहन्ना 12:12-15),
और बाइबल के विद्वान तथा व्याख्याकर्ताओं ने आँकलन करके यह
निर्धारित किया है कि यह दिन निर्गमन 12:3 का वही महीने का
दसवां दिन था जब फसह की बलि के लिये मेमना ले कर रखा जाना था। फसह के उस मेमने के
विषय केवल परमेश्वर के लोग, इस्राएली ही यह जानते थे कि इसी
सप्ताह में वह मेमना बलि चढ़ा दिया जाएगा और उन्हें दासत्व से छुटकारा मिल जाएगा।
किन्तु गैर-यहूदियों को यह बात पता नहीं थी। इसी प्रकार से प्रभु भी अपने शिष्यों
को अपने क्रूस पर होने वाले बलिदान के बारे में बताता आ रहा था (मत्ती 16:21;
17:12; 20:17-19; मरकुस 8:31; लूका 9:22;
13:33), अर्थात, समस्त मानव जाति के पापों के
प्रायश्चित के लिये उसका बलिदान होना, किन्तु उन्होंने तब
उसकी यह बात नहीं समझी, उन्हें बाद में समझ में आई (यूहन्ना 12:16)। प्रभु यीशु को महीने के चौदहवें दिन, दोपहर के
लगभग क्रूस पर चढ़ाया गया; और तब “दो पहर से लेकर तीसरे पहर
तक” उस इलाके पर अंधियारा छाया रहा (मत्ती 27:45; मरकुस 15:33;
लूका 23:44), अर्थात लगभग 12 बजे से लेकर तीन बजे तक, और तीसरे पहर के समय,
जब इस्राएल के लोग फसह के मेमने को बलिदान कर रहे थे, प्रभु यीशु ने अपने प्राण त्याग दिये, और निर्गमन 12:6 की बलि के दिन, और समय को पूरा किया - चौदहवें दिन
की गोधूलि के समय बलिदान दिया जाना।
हम
अगले लेख में फसह के मेमने के बलिदान और प्रभु-भोज के मध्य समानता और सम्बन्धों को
और आगे देखेंगे। जिस प्रकार फसह के मेमने का बलिदान करना और मिस्र के दासत्व से
निकलने की तैयारी करके रखना प्रत्येक इस्राएली के लिए एक गंभीर और महत्वपूर्ण विषय
था; उसी प्रकार प्रभु की मेज़ में सम्मिलित होना, तथा पाप के दासत्व से मुक्त होकर, परमेश्वर और उसके
राज्य के लिए जीवन जीना प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए एक गंभीर और महत्वपूर्ण
बात है।
यदि आपने अभी तक
प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और
स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर
लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का
आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि
आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों
के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप
को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र
मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी
प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित
करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और
समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे
स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और
आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें।
मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने
की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन
इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक
प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक
के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Exodus 12:6 - The
Sacrificial Lamb & The Holy Communion (1)
In our
study on the Holy Communion, we have seen that the antecedents of the Communion
are found in the Old Testament instances of the Passover, in Exodus 12; and in
the Law as the Passover festival. The Lord’s Table or the Holy Communion was
established by the Lord Jesus Christ for His disciples, using the elements of
the Passover meal, which was given in the OT by the Lord God for His chosen
people, the Israelites. Neither the Passover, nor the Holy Communion was ever
meant for anyone other than the people of God. In establishing the Lord’s Table
based on the Passover, neither the Lord Jesus at the initiation of the Table,
nor the Holy Spirit in the New Testament writings subsequently ever annulled,
changed, or replaced any of God’s ordinances related to the Passover, but only
built upon them. We have also seen that neither participating in the Passover
made the participant an Israelite or chosen of God; nor, contrary to the
popular belief, participating in the Holy Communion makes one acceptable to God
and worthy of entry into heaven. Rather, only those who are the Born-Again
children of God are to partake of the Table; and partaking in an unworthy
manner invites God’s judgement and retribution (1 Corinthians 11:28-30). Satan
has been able to bring in and establish many wrong teachings about the things by
God, since people have become uncaring and unconcerned about studying God’s
Word for themselves, about cross-checking what is taught to them in the name of
God, and have become pleasers of men rather than of God, i.e., are more worried
about following the teachings of men - their religious leaders, than of knowing
God’s instructions and fulfilling them.
In the
previous article we had seen that the God ordained characteristics of the
sacrificial Lamb to be used for the Passover were a foreshadow of the Lord
Jesus - the Lamb of God sacrificed for the salvation and redemption of mankind.
Today we will see further, how the Passover lamb foreshadows the Lord Jesus
Christ and participating in the Lord’s table is no frivolous matter, it can in
no way be done casually, perfunctorily.
Exodus
12:6 - It is written in Exodus 12:3 that the Israelites were to take a lamb
with the given characteristics on the tenth day of the month; and verse 6 says
that on the fourteenth day that lamb was to be sacrificed at twilight. Till the
time of sacrifice, the sacrificial lamb was to be with the household, being
seen and observed by them, and then on the fourth day it was to be sacrificed
in the evening. Every time they looked at it, fed and watered it, the thought
crossing their minds would have been, that this lamb will have to die, so that
we can be delivered from the bondage of Egypt.
What
Christendom celebrates as the “Palm Sunday”, was the day that the Lord Jesus
rode into Jerusalem seated on a donkey (John 12:12-15), and Bible scholars and
commentators have calculated this to be the same “tenth day” of Exodus 12:3 for
the Passover. For the Passover lamb, only the people of God, the Israelites
knew that within the week the lamb would be sacrificed and they would be
delivered from their bondage. But this was not apparent to the non-Israelites.
Similarly, the Lord had been instructing His disciples about His coming
crucifixion (Matthew 16:21; 17:12; 20:17-19; Mark 8:31; Luke 9:22; 13:33),
i.e., His being sacrificed to atone for the sins of all of mankind, although
they had not understood it then, but they did later (John 12:16). Lord Jesus
was crucified on the fourteenth day of the month, at around noon; there was
darkness over the land “from the sixth to the ninth hour” (Matthew 27:45; Mark
15:33; Luke 23:44), i.e., from noon till around 3pm and soon after the ninth
hour, while the people of Israel were sacrificing the Passover lamb, the Lord
Jesus gave up His Spirit, fulfilling the day and time and sacrifice of Exodus
12:6, which was to be carried out in the evening on the fourteenth day of the
month.
In the next
article we continue considering the similarity and relationship between the
sacrifice of the Passover lamb and Holy-Communion. Just as sacrificing the Passover
lamb, as well making preparations and being ready to come out of the bondage of
Egypt were serious and important things for the Israelites; similarly,
participating in the Lord's Table, and having being delivered from the bondage
of sin, to live for the Lord and His Kingdom are serious and important things
for every Christian Believer.
If you
have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision
in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's
security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where
His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not
obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your
sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord
Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves
into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you
have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with
heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do
this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have
knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds,
committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by
your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all
eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and
make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and
wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision.
One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and
future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you
heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time
and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
