मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 1 - वचन (10)
परमेश्वर के वचन के द्वारा बढ़ोतरी पर हमारी इस श्रृंखला के आरम्भ में हमने देखा था कि प्रत्येक मसीही के लिए परमेश्वर का सम्पूर्ण वचन महत्वपूर्ण है, सारे वचन का अध्ययन करना और उसे सीखना चाहिए। लेकिन तीन प्रकार की शिक्षाएँ हैं जिन्हें सभी विश्वासियों के लिए जानना और सीखना अनिवार्य है - पश्चाताप और सुसमाचार के बारे में; इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई छः आरम्भिक बातों के बारे में; और व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन से सम्बन्धित शिक्षाएँ जो प्रेरितों 2 और 15 अध्याय में दी गई हैं, क्योंकि इन्हीं शिक्षाओं के पालन के द्वारा आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासियों तथा कलीसियाओं की बढ़ोतरी हुई, और वे शेष पवित्रशास्त्र को पढ़ने तथा सीखने वाले भी बन सके। पहली दो प्रकार की शिक्षाओं को देख लेने के बाद, अब हम तीसरे प्रकार की शिक्षाओं, अर्थात “व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन से सम्बन्धित बातें” पर विचार कर रहे हैं। वर्तमान में हम इन बातों को प्रेरितों 2 अध्याय से देख रहे हैं, जहाँ पर सात बातें दी गई हैं - पहली तीन पतरस के द्वारा भक्त यहूदियों को दिए गए सन्देश में हैं, और शेष चार प्रेरितों 2:42 में हैं, और उन्हें “मसीही विश्वास के स्तम्भ” भी कहा जाता है। अभी हम इन चारों में से पहले स्तम्भ, “परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन” पर विचार कर रहे हैं, और बाइबल में से विभिन्न कारणों को देख रहे हैं कि मसीही विश्वासियों को क्यों यत्न से और लौलीन होकर परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करना चाहिए। अभी तक हमने छः कारण देखे हैं, जो अन्तिम देखा था, वह था शैतानी शक्तियों और युक्तियों पर जयवन्त रहने तथा एक विजयी जीवन जीने के लिए। आज हम परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करने के एक अन्य, सातवें कारण पर विचार करेंगे।

जब परमेश्वर ने मूसा पर अपना नाम और गुण प्रकट किए, तब उसने कहा, “और यहोवा उसके सामने हो कर यों प्रचार करता हुआ चला, कि यहोवा, यहोवा, ईश्वर दयालु और अनुग्रहकारी, कोप करने में धीरजवन्त, और अति करुणामय और सत्य, हजारों पीढिय़ों तक निरन्तर करुणामय करने वाला, अधर्म और अपराध और पाप का क्षमा करने वाला है, परन्तु दोषी को वह किसी प्रकार निर्दोष न ठहराएगा, वह पित्रों के अधर्म का दण्ड उनके बेटों वरन पोतों और पड़पोतों को भी देने वाला है” (निर्गमन 34:6-7)।
दाऊद ने अपने उत्तराधिकारी, सुलैमान को सचेत किया “और हे मेरे पुत्र सुलैमान! तू अपने पिता के परमेश्वर का ज्ञान रख, और खरे मन और प्रसन्न जीव से उसकी सेवा करता रह; क्योंकि यहोवा मन को जांचता और विचार में जो कुछ उत्पन्न होता है उसे समझता है। यदि तू उसकी खोज में रहे, तो वह तुझ को मिलेगा; परन्तु यदि तू उसको त्याग दे तो वह सदा के लिये तुझ को छोड़ देगा” (1 इतिहास 28:9)।
सुलैमान ने परमेश्वर के न्याय के बारे में लिखा “जो कुछ हुआ वह इस से पहिले भी हो चुका; जो होने वाला है, वह हो भी चुका है; और परमेश्वर बीती हुई बात को फिर पूछता है” (सभोपदेशक 3:15); “मैं ने मन में कहा, परमेश्वर धर्मी और दुष्ट दोनों का न्याय करेगा, क्योंकि उसके यहां एक एक विषय और एक एक काम का समय है” (सभोपदेशक 3:17); “हे जवान, अपनी जवानी में आनन्द कर, और अपनी जवानी के दिनों के मगन रह; अपनी मनमानी कर और अपनी आंखों की दृष्टि के अनुसार चल। परन्तु यह जान रख कि इन सब बातों के विषय में परमेश्वर तेरा न्याय करेगा” (सभोपदेशक 11:9); और “क्योंकि परमेश्वर सब कामों और सब गुप्त बातों का, चाहे वे भली हों या बुरी, न्याय करेगा” (सभोपदेशक 12:14)।
प्रभु यीशु ने कहा “और मैं तुम से कहता हूं, कि जो जो निकम्मी बातें मनुष्य कहेंगे, न्याय के दिन हर एक बात का लेखा देंगे। क्योंकि तू अपनी बातों के कारण निर्दोष और अपनी बातों ही के कारण दोषी ठहराया जाएगा” (मत्ती 12:36-37); और “कुछ ढपा नहीं, जो खोला न जाएगा; और न कुछ छिपा है, जो जाना न जाएगा” (लूका 12:2)।

इब्रानियों की पत्री का लेखक लिखता है “और सृष्टि की कोई वस्तु उस से छिपी नहीं है वरन जिस से हमें काम है, उस की आंखों के सामने सब वस्तुएं खुली और बेपरदा हैं” (इब्रानियों 4:13); “और जैसे मनुष्यों के लिये एक बार मरना और उसके बाद न्याय का होना नियुक्त है” (इब्रानियों 9:27)।
प्रेरित पतरस ने लिखा “पर वे उसको जो जीवतों और मरे हुओं का न्याय करने को तैयार है, लेखा देंगे” (1 पतरस 4:5)।
सो, परमेश्वर के वचन में न्याय से सम्बन्धित इन कुछ पदों से हम देखते हैं कि हर किसी को न्याय के लिए परमेश्वर के सामने खड़ा होना ही पड़ेगा; चाहे वह धर्मी हो अथवा अधर्मी। लोकप्रिय, किन्तु गलत धारणा के विपरीत, ये तथा अन्य पद यह नहीं कहते हैं कि केवल भक्तिहीन, उद्धार नहीं पाए हुए, बुरे, अधर्मी, या सांसारिक लोग ही हिसाब देने के लिए बुलाए जाएँगे और केवल उन्हीं का न्याय किया जाएगा। बल्कि ये पद स्पष्ट दिखाते हैं कि हर किसी का, चाहे वह परमेश्वर का जन हो, या न हो, सभी का न्याय होगा, सभी कभी न कभी न्याय के लिए परमेश्वर के सामने खड़े होंगे। साथ ही इस बात पर भी ध्यान कीजिए कि इन पदों के लेखक, जो परमेश्वर के जन और सेवक हैं, इन पदों में “हम” के प्रयोग के द्वारा, यह प्रकट कर देते हैं कि उन्हें भी अपने जीवन और कामों का हिसाब देने के लिए परमेश्वर के सामने खड़ा होना ही होगा। एक बार फिर, वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए यह न्याय उनके उद्धार को निर्धारित करने के लिए नहीं होगा, वरन उन्हें दिए जाने वाले प्रतिफलों - किसे कौन से और कितने प्रतिफल मिलने हैं, उसके लिए होगा।
तो, हमारे इस अध्ययन के साथ और विश्वासी के यत्न के साथ और लौलीन होकर परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ने के कारणों के साथ इस सब का क्या सम्बन्ध है? प्रभु यीशु की कही एक और बात पर ध्यान कीजिए “जो मुझे तुच्छ जानता है और मेरी बातें ग्रहण नहीं करता है उसको दोषी ठहराने वाला तो एक है: अर्थात जो वचन मैं ने कहा है, वही पिछले दिन में उसे दोषी ठहराएगा” (यूहन्ना 12:48)। पौलुस ने उपरोक्त रोमियों 2:16 में कहा है कि न्याय उसके द्वारा प्रचार किए गए सुसमाचार के अनुसार किया जाएगा; और पौलुस द्वारा प्रचार किया गया सुसमाचार, उसका अपना नहीं था, उस को सुसमाचार प्रभु के द्वारा दर्शनों में दिया गया था (गलतियों 1:11-12); और इस प्रकार से वह भी परमेश्वर का यही वचन है।
तो, अब जब हमारे विचार, शब्द, और कार्य, सभी की प्रभु यीशु के द्वारा, अपने वचन के आधार पर जाँच-परख की जाएगी, तो क्या फिर समझदारी इसी में नहीं है कि हम उसके वचन का अध्ययन करें और अपने आप को न्याय के लिए उस वचन के अनुसार तैयार करें, जिससे हम अपनी हानि को कम कर सकें और लाभ को बढ़ा सकें?
अगले लेख में देखेंगे कि जब हम अपने जीवनों में परमेश्वर के वचन को उसका उचित और प्राथमिक स्थान प्रदान करते हैं, तो हमारे जीवन में क्या प्रभाव आते हैं।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Things Related to Christian Living – 17
The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 1 - Word (10)
At the beginning of this series on Growth through God’s Word, we had seen that every Christian Believer needs to study and learn the whole of God’s Word, all of it is important. But three categories of teachings from God’s Word are essential for every Believer to learn and know - About repentance and the gospel; About the six Elementary Principles given in Hebrews 6:1-2; and About teachings related to practical Christian living given in Acts chapters 2 and 15, since the initial growth of the Believers and the Church happened as they followed those teachings; and they also became those who could study and learn the rest of the Scriptures. Having seen the first two categories, we are presently considering the third category, i.e., the “Things related to Christian Living.” At present we are considering them from Acts 2; where seven things have been given - the first three are in Peter’s Sermon to the devout Jews, and then the next four are in Acts 2:42, they are also called “Pillars of the Christian Faith.” Presently we are considering the first of these four “Pillars,” i.e., “Studying God’s Word;” and we have been looking at the various reasons from the Bible, why the Christian Believers should diligently and steadfastly study God’s Word. So far we have seen six reasons, the last being to be able to overcome the satanic forces and their devices, and live a victorious life. Today we will take up another, the seventh reason, for studying God’s Word.
To learn about our Judgement and the things on which we will be evaluated.
Although God's Word the Bible is very clear about the judgment of all of mankind, including that of God’s people, but this judgment is neither talked about nor preached or taught in most of the Churches. For the truly Born-Again Christian Believers, their judgment will not be for deciding their salvation and entry into heaven, but for determining their eternal rewards. Most of the Christian Believers rest content and unconcerned in a misunderstanding of God’s promise that He forgives and forgets sins, throwing them behind His back, and wiping them away as thick clouds, therefore, their forgiven sins will never be called for accounting. While this is true that God forgives and forgets sins, but what is also true is that God has also taught in His Word that everything about everyone is being recorded, and at the time of the final judgment, the record books will be opened, the records brought out, and even the Believer’s life and works, each and every one of them, will be laid open and judged (Revelation 20:12), to ascertain their rewards. Notice, this Great White Throne judgment happens after the devil, the beast, and the false prophet have been cast into hell, and the old earth and heaven have fled away (Revelation 20:10-11); i.e., all evil and corruption has been dealt with and taken away. So, now, all who remain are the saved, the people of God; and they are brought before the Great White Throne for being judged and rewarded according to their works. This has been considered in some detail in the study on the sixth Elementary Principle of Hebrews 6:2, i.e. “final judgment.”
Consider some of the verses from God’s Word related to God’s judgment, in their Biblical order:
Abraham, when pleading and trying to save Sodom and Gomorrah from God’s wrath, called God as “...the Judge of all the earth…” (Genesis 18:25).
When God revealed His name and character to Moses, He said “And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, ‘The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation.’” (Exodus 34:6-7).
David cautioned his heir Solomon, “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever” (1 Chronicles 28:9).
Solomon, wrote about God’s judgment “That which is has already been, And what is to be has already been; And God requires an account of what is past” (Ecclesiastes 3:15); “I said in my heart, ‘God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.’” (Ecclesiastes 3:17); “Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment” (Ecclesiastes 11:9); and “For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14).
Lord Jesus said “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:36-37); and “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known” (Luke 12:2).
The Apostle Paul has said: “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:31); “in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel” (Romans 2:16); “But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ” (Romans 14:10); “So then each of us shall give account of himself to God” (Romans 14:12); “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God” (1 Corinthians 4:5); “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
The author of the book of Hebrews writes, “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13); “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
The Apostle Peter said “They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead” (1 Peter 4:5)
So, we see from these few verses related to judgment in God’s Word, that everyone will have to stand before God and be judged; both the righteous as well as the unrighteous. Unlike the popular misconception, these and other similar verses do not specify that only the ungodly, the unsaved, the evil, the unrighteous, or the worldly people will be called to give an account, and be judged. Rather, the verses clearly say that everyone, whether a person of God or not, at some time or the other, will stand before God to be judged. Also note that in some verses the author, the follower and servant of God, through the use “we”, makes it apparent that even he will have to stand before God to give an account of his life and works. Once again, for the truly Born-Again Christian Believers, this judgment will not be to determine their salvation, but to decide the eternal rewards they will get. These verses also show that not just the works, but also the words and the thoughts of everyone will be judged.
So, how does all this tie in with our study and the reason for the necessity of every Believer diligently and steadfastly studying God’s Word? Consider what the Lord Jesus has said “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). Paul through the Holy Spirit has said in Romans 2:16, given above that the judgment will be according to the gospel preached by Paul; and the gospel Paul preached was not his own, but received by Him from the Lord through revelation (Galatians 1:11-12); and thus was the Word of the Lord.
Now, if our thoughts, words, and works will all be judged by the Lord Jesus on the basis of His Word, then does it not make sense to study His Word and prepare ourselves accordingly, so we can minimize the damages and maximize the benefits and rewards that we will receive when the Lord judges us?

Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
