बाइबल में कलीसिया संबंधी रूपक
हमने पिछले लेखों में मत्ती 16:18 से देखा है कि प्रभु स्वयं ही अपनी कलीसिया को, अपने मानकों और निर्धारित गुणों एवं प्रक्रिया के द्वारा बना रहा है; वही उसका स्वामी है, उसकी देखभाल कर रहा है; और वर्तमान में, उसकी कलीसिया निर्माणाधीन है। हम यह भी देख चुके हैं कि कलीसिया कोई भवन अथवा बनाया गया भौतिक स्थान नहीं ह। वरन कलीसिया ऐसे लोगों का समूह है जो प्रभु यीशु को जगत का एकमात्र उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करके, अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करके, अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित कर चुके हैं, कि प्रभु की तथा उसके वचन की आज्ञाकारिता में जीवन बिताएँ; केवल इसी एकमात्र आधार पर प्रभु के साथ जुड़कर प्रभु की कलीसिया का अंग बने हैं। अन्य जो कोई भी किसी भी अन्य मान्यता, आधार या धारणा के अनुसार जुड़ने का प्रयास करता है, उसकी वास्तविकता को प्रकट करके प्रभु उसे अपनी कलीसिया से या तो बाहर निकाल देता है, या अभी उसकी पहचान करके जगत के अंत के समय की छंटनी में उसे बाहर निकाल दिया जाएगा। प्रभु यीशु बहुत बारीकी से हर एक बात का ध्यान रखते हुए स्वयं ही अपनी कलीसिया को बनाने का यह कार्य कर रहा है। प्रभु शैतान द्वारा पाप में गिराए और फँसाए गए, और परिणामस्वरूप परमेश्वर से संगति एवं सहभागिता से दूर हो गए लोगों को अपनी धार्मिकता को प्रदान करने के द्वारा धर्मी बनाकर, उन्हें ईश्वरीय धार्मिकता में लौटा लाकर, परमेश्वर की संगति एवं सहभागिता में बहाल कर रहा है (रोमियों 5 अध्याय पढ़िए), उन्हें अनन्तकाल के उनके स्वर्गीय निवास एवं कार्यों के लिए तैयार कर रहा है (यूहन्ना 14:3)।
प्रभु यीशु द्वारा कलीसिया में किए जा रहे इस धर्मी और पवित्र बनाए जाने तथा परमेश्वर की संगति एवं सहभागिता में बहाली के कार्य को, कलीसिया के लोगों के जीवनों में उसके उद्देश्यों एवं उनके परिणामों को, और उन के विभिन्न पहलुओं को हम उन विभिन्न रूपकों (metaphors) के द्वारा सीख और समझ सकते हैं, जो परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के नए नियम खंड में प्रभु के लोगों, उसकी कलीसिया के लिए प्रयोग किए गए हैं।
ये रूपक हैं:
* प्रभु का परिवार या घराना;
* परमेश्वर का निवास-स्थान;
* मन्दिर या भवन;
* परमेश्वर की खेती;
* प्रभु की देह;
* प्रभु की दुल्हन;
* परमेश्वर की दाख की बारी, इत्यादि।
प्रत्येक रूपक, प्रभु यीशु और पिता परमेश्वर के साथ एक सच्चे, समर्पित, आज्ञाकारी मसीही विश्वासी के संबंध, जीवन, और दायित्व के विभिन्न पहलुओं को दिखाता है।
साथ ही प्रत्येक रूपक यह भी बिलकुल स्पष्ट और निश्चित कर देता है कि कोई भी व्यक्ति किसी भी प्रकार के किसी भी मानवीय प्रयोजन, कार्य, धारणा आदि के द्वारा परमेश्वर की कलीसिया का सदस्य बन ही नहीं सकता है; वह चाहे कितने भी और कैसे भी प्रयास क्यों न कर ले। अगर व्यक्ति प्रभु यीशु की कलीसिया का सदस्य होगा, तो वह केवल प्रभु की इच्छा, उसके माप-दंडों के आधार पर, उसकी स्वीकृति से होगा, अन्यथा कोई चाहे कुछ भी कहता रहे, वह वास्तविकता में प्रभु की कलीसिया का सदस्य हो ही नहीं सकता है, और न कभी होने पाएगा। और यदि वह अपने आप को समझता या कहता भी है, तो उसकी वास्तविकता देर-सवेर प्रकट हो जाएगी, और वह अनन्त विनाश के लिए पृथक कर दिया जाएगा। इसलिए अपने आप को मसीही विश्वासी कहने वाले प्रत्येक जन के लिए अभी समय और अवसर है कि अपनी वास्तविक स्थिति को भली-भांति जाँच-परख कर, उचित कदम उठा ले और प्रभु के साथ अपने संबंध ठीक कर ले।
इन रूपकों में होकर हम उसकी कलीसिया के लिए प्रभु के प्रयोजन एवं उद्देश्यों को समझने का प्रयास करेंगे। इन रूपकों को किसी विशेष क्रम में नहीं लिया अथवा रखा गया है, सभी रूपक समान ही महत्वपूर्ण हैं, सभी में मसीही जीवन से संबंधित कुछ आवश्यक शिक्षाएं हैं।
अगले लेख से हम इन रूपकों के एक के बाद एक देखेंगे।
यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

The Church, or, Assembly of Christ Jesus - 18
Biblical Metaphors for the Church
In the previous articles we have seen from Matthew 16:18 that the Lord Jesus is building His Church Himself, according to His standards and criteria; He alone is its owner; He cares for it and looks after it; and presently the Church is “Under Construction.” We have also seen the Church is not a building, or a physically constructed place of worship, or any organization or Institution. Rather, the Church is the group of people who have truly accepted the Lord Jesus as the one and only savior of the world and of themselves, have fully submitted their lives to Him to live in obedience to Him and His Word; they have all been joined together on the basis of this one criterion. Whoever, on the basis of any other concept, basis, or criteria tries to join the Church on his own, the Lord Jesus exposes him and removes him from His Church, or will eventually cast him out at the end time separation. The Lord Jesus is very carefully evaluating people and carrying on the work of building His Church. The Lord is restoring the people fallen into sin and alienated from God by Satan, back into the fellowship with God, through His righteousness imputed to them (please read Romans 5), and is preparing them for their eternal heavenly residence and works (John 14:3).
The work of the Lord Jesus to make His people holy and righteous and restore them into fellowship with God; the purpose, works, and their results of the people of the Lord’s Church; and the various aspects of the Lord’s Church can be better understood through the various metaphors used in God’s Word for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
These metaphors are:
* The family of the Lord;
* The dwelling place of God;
* Temple or House of God;
* The field of the God;
* The Body of the Lord;
* The Bride of the Lord;
* The vineyard of God, etc.
Every metaphor shows different aspects of the relationship of a truly surrendered and committed Christian Believer with the Lord Jesus and God, and the related aspects of the Believer’s life and responsibilities.
Every metaphor also makes it very clear and evident that no person can become a member of the Lord’s Church through any human works, criteria, notions etc., no matter who he may be or how much he may try to join the Lord’s Church. If anyone joins the Church of the Lord, it will only be according to the will, standards, criteria, and acceptance by the Lord. Other than this anyone may keep saying, doing, and claiming whatever they may, he will never actually be or become a member of the Lord’s Church. Even if he considers and claims his being a member, sooner or later his actual state will be exposed, and he will be separated out for eternal destruction. Therefore, for everyone who claims himself to be a Christian Believer, now is the time and opportunity to examine and evaluate their relationship with the Lord and its basis, and if there is any doubt, then have it rectified and come into the right relationship with the Lord.
Through these metaphors we will try to understand the purposes and works of the Lord Jesus for His Church. In our considerations here, these metaphors have not been placed or taken up in any particular order; every metaphor is as important as any other, and every one of them brings forth some teaching or the other about the Christian Believer’s life.
From the next article we will consider these metaphors one by one.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
