पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा - (4) - दुष्प्रभाव (1)
हम पिछले लेखों में परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से देख चुके हैं कि वाक्यांश “पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा” तो बाइबल में लिखा गया है। इस वाक्यांश का अर्थ होता है मसीही विश्वासी का पवित्र-आत्मा में डुबो दिए जाना, यानि कि उसे अंदर-बाहर से परमेश्वर पवित्र-आत्मा से ओतप्रोत कर दिया जाना। किन्तु सामान्यतः प्रयोग किया जाने वाला वाक्यांश “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” वचन में कहीं नहीं दिया गया है। न केवल यह पूर्णतः बाइबल के बाहर की बात है, जो बाइबल की शिक्षाओं के साथ कोई मेल नहीं रखती है, वरन बाइबल की शिक्षाओं के विरुद्ध भी है। इसी प्रकार से हमने पिछले लेख में यह भी देखा है कि “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” की गलत धारणा को पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के बाद एक अतिरिक्त या दूसरा अनुभव कह कर उसे सही ठहराने के प्रयास भी बाइबल की शिक्षाओं के अनुसार सही नहीं हैं, वरन इसमें मनुष्य द्वारा परमेश्वर को नियंत्रण कर पाने की अनुचित और ओछी धारणा निहित है, जो एक बार फिर बाइबल की शिक्षाओं के विरुद्ध है।
आज से हम मसीही विश्वासियों द्वारा, धार्मिकता और भक्ति के आवरण में लिपटे हुए वाक्यांश “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” से संबंधित शिक्षाओं को स्वीकार करने और उस में विश्वास करने के साथ जुड़े हुए दुष्प्रभावों पर विचार करना आरंभ करेंगे। ये सभी दुष्प्रभाव चीनी में लिपटे कड़वे घातक जहर के समान हैं जो मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन, कलीसिया, और मसीही सेवकाई को गंभीर एवं हानिकारक रीति से प्रभावित करते हैं। यदि बाइबल की शिक्षाओं के विरुद्ध गढ़ी गई इस अनुचित धारणा पर थोड़ा गहराई और गंभीरता से विचार किया जाए तो इस विचारधारा में निहित दुष्प्रभावों को समझना कुछ कठिन नहीं है। तब यह विदित हो जाता है कि भक्ति और धार्मिकता के नाम पर यह मसीही विश्वासियों में भिन्नता और मतभेद उत्पन्न करने का शैतानी प्रयास है; उनकी मसीही सेवकाई को अप्रभावी करने की चाल है।
इस का पहला दुष्प्रभाव है कि यह धारणा मसीही विश्वासियों को दो समूहों में विभाजित कर देती है “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” पाए हुए, और न पाए हुए में बाँट देती है। वचन स्पष्ट दिखाता है कि जब भी किसी भी आधार पर मसीही विश्वासियों ने अपने आप को परस्पर भिन्न दिखाने, पृथक करने का प्रयास किया है, तो कलीसिया में परेशानियाँ ही आई हैं, फूट ही पड़ी है, कभी कोई उन्नति नहीं हुई वरन नुकसान ही हुआ है। बाइबल से कुछ उदाहरणों को देखिए:
(i) अगुवों के नाम और अनुसरण के आधार पर अपने आप को चलाने के कारण कुरिन्थुस की मंडली में फूट पड़ी, समस्याएँ उत्पन्न हुईं (1 कुरिन्थियों 1:11-13)।
(ii) अपनी पृष्ठभूमि के अनुसार अपने आप को इब्रानी और यूनानी विश्वासी कहने से कलीसिया में फूट और बैर आया, जिसका दुष्प्रभाव प्रथम कलीसिया में भोजन वितरित करने जैसी सामान्य बातों पर भी पड़ा, और इस बुरे प्रभाव के द्वारा शैतान ने प्रेरितों के प्रार्थना और वचन के अध्ययन एवं सेवा को बाधित करने का प्रयास किया (प्रेरितों 6:1-4); जिससे फिर मसीही विश्वास का प्रसार और विस्तार रुक सके।
(iii) यहूदी और गैर-यहूदी मसीही विश्वासियों के मध्य खींच-तान और अलगाव से सभी प्रेरितों और पौलुस को भी जूझते ही रहना पड़ा; क्योंकि लोग अपनी पृष्ठभूमि के अनुसार बने रहना चाहते थे; और यहूदी विश्वासी अपने आप को अन्य-जातियों की अपेक्षा “उच्च कोटि” का जताने का प्रयास करते थे (प्रेरितों 15:1-2, 5, 10-11; इफिसियों 2:17-22)।
यही स्थिति, इस प्रकार बपतिस्मा पाए और न पाए हुओं के मध्य उत्पन्न होकर प्रभु के लोगों में फूट और मतभेद उत्पन्न करती है। मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए बाइबल की शिक्षा और बुलाहट आरंभ से ही एकता में बने रहने की रही है (प्रेरितों 2:42-47; रोमियों 12:16; 15:5; 1 कुरिन्थियों 1:10; 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:17-20; फिलिप्पियों 2:1-2; 1 पतरस 3:8)। लेकिन इस गलत शिक्षा और उससे संबंधित अन्य गलत बातों के द्वारा मसीहियों तथा कलीसिया के मध्य विभाजन और झगड़े के बीज बोए जाते हैं, जिनसे मसीही सेवकाई पर गंभीर दुष्प्रभाव पड़ता है। बाइबल के विपरीत एवं अनुचित इस शिक्षा के कुछ अन्य दुष्प्रभाव हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।
यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में नया जन्म पाए हुए प्रभु यीशु के शिष्य हैं, पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Baptism OF the Holy Spirit - (4) - Harmful Effects (1)
We have seen in previous articles from the Word of God, that it is the phrase "Baptism with the Holy Spirit", that has been written in the Bible. This phrase implies a Christian Believer’s being immersed into or permeated with the Holy Spirit. But the commonly used phrase “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” is nowhere mentioned in God’s Word. Not only is it completely unBiblical, but it also goes against, the teachings of the Bible, and it creates problems with many things in God’s Word. We have also seen in the previous articles that attempts to justify the wrong teachings related to the use of the phrase "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" by calling it an additional second or extra experience, after the first experience of receiving the Holy Spirit is also not correct according to the teachings of the Bible. Rather, it implies the wrong, petty, and unBiblical notion of man being able to manipulate God.
Today we will begin to consider the some of the harmful effects for the Christian Believer of believing in and accepting the phrase "Baptism of the Holy Spirit", that is often presented and taught in the garb of religiosity and reverence. These serious and harmful effects for the Christian Believer, the Church, and Christian Ministry are like deadly, poison that is presented and fed to gullible people as a sugar-coated bitter pill. With a little serious consideration and analysis in some depth, it is not difficult to uncover and understand the ill effects of this wrong and unBiblical notion; and to see that it actually is a satanic attempt to create differences and divisions among Christians in the name of reverence and spirituality; a trick to render their Christian ministry ineffective.
The first harmful effect is that it divides Christian Believers into two groups - the “haves” and the “have nots”. The “haves” are those who supposedly have received the "baptism of the Holy Spirit"; and the “have nots” are those who have not received it. The Bible, as well as the history of Christianity clearly shows that whenever Christians have tried to differentiate and segregate themselves on any ground, then Christianity has always been in trouble, the Church has split, and has never progressed. Consider some Biblical examples:
(i) Segregation on the basis of names of the Church leaders and because of following men instead of Christ, led to divisions and problems in the Corinthian Assembly (1 Corinthians 1:11-13).
(ii) Because of segregation based on ethnicity, i.e., by calling themselves Hebrew and Greek Believers, serious discord and divisions happened in the first Church, which upset even the basic things like distribution of food, and through this Satan tried to adversely affect the Apostles' ministry of prayer and of studying and teaching God’s Word (Acts 6:1–4); and thereby the growth and spread of Christianity.
(iii) All the Apostles and even Paul had to contend with the strife and separation between Jewish and Gentile Christians because of their insistence on maintaining their ethnic individuality; and the Jews unfairly trying to present and project themselves as “superior” than the Gentiles Believers (Acts 15:1-2, 5, 10-11; Ephesians 2:17-22).
Similarly, the situation, thus arising between the allegedly baptized of the Holy Spirit and those unbaptized, creates divisions and differences among the people of the Lord. The Biblical teaching and call for the Christian Believers has always been for unity amongst them, right from the very beginning (Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:16; 15:5; 1 Corinthians 1:10; 1 Corinthians 11:17-20; Philippians 2:1-2; 1 Peter 3:8). But through this and its associated wrong teachings, seeds of divisions and strife are sown amongst Christians and the Church, seriously affecting the Christian Ministry. We will consider some more ill-effects of this unBiblical ideology in the next article.
If you are a Christian Believer, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually a Born-Again disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. Whoever may be the preacher or teacher, but you should always, like the Berean Believers, first cross-check and test all teachings that you receive, from the Word of God. Only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
