विश्वासियों को अनुशासन चाहिए – 1
परमेश्वर की कलीसिया और अन्य विश्वासियों के साथ सहभागिता रखने के भण्डारी होने के नाते, सभी विश्वासियों को अपने आप को तथा औरों के प्रति अपने व्यवहार को ऐसे संचालित करना है जिस से कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी तथा औरों की आत्मिक उन्नति हो। पिछले लेखों में हमने इस ज़िम्मेदारी का निर्वाह करने के विभिन्न पक्षों को, तथा इस में परमेश्वर के वचन की सेवकाई की भूमिका को देखा था। विश्वासियों को यह कभी नहीं भूलना चाहिए कि परमेश्वर की कलीसिया मनुष्यों से मिलकर बनी है, और कोई भी मनुष्य कभी भी सिद्ध नहीं होता है। हम सभी, यहाँ तक कि आत्मिक रीति से परिपक्व जन, अगुवे, परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रचारक और शिक्षक भी, सभी, वे चाहे कोई भी क्यों न हों, कभी-न-कभी गलतियाँ करते ही हैं, और हम सभी को अपनी गलतियों के लिए सुधारे जाने की आवश्यकता पड़ती ही है। परमेश्वर इस बात को जानता है, और इसके लिए हमारे प्रति धीरज धरता है, विलंब से क्रोध करता है, और उसने अपनी कलीसिया में तथा अपने विश्वासियों के मध्य में ऐसे प्रावधान दिए हैं कि उसकी सन्तान उनकी गलतियों से तथा उस गलती को सुधारने के तरीके से अवगत करवाई जाएँ। लेकिन जो इस सुधारे जाने को सही रीति से स्वीकार नहीं करते हैं, तो फिर उन्हें अन्ततः इस के लिए अपने ढीठ और अहंकारी होने के परिणाम भुगतने ही पड़ेंगे।
इसलिए, परमेश्वर की कलीसिया में किसी को भी इस गलतफहमी के साथ नहीं रहना तथा कार्य करना चाहिए कि वह सिद्ध है, कभी गलती नहीं करता है; और न ही इसके कि किसी को भी उन में कोई गलती दिखाने और इस प्रकार से उनकी भावनाओं को ठेस पहुँचाने तथा कलीसिया में उनके स्तर को नीचा करने का कोई अधिकार है। न ही किसी को भी यह धारणा रखनी चाहिए कि यदि उन में कोई गलती होगी तो परमेश्वर स्वयं ही उन्हें सीधे से बता देगा। इसी गलतफहमी का एक अन्य स्वरूप है कुछ विश्वासियों द्वारा यह सोचना कि क्योंकि कोई एक अगुवा या विश्वासी उन में विद्यमान उस बात के लिए कुछ नहीं कह रहा है, इसलिए किसी अन्य में यह योग्यता नहीं है, किसी अन्य को यह अनुमति, यह अधिकार नहीं है कि वह उस बात को गलती कहे – परमेश्वर किसी अगुवे या विश्वासी को किस बात के लिए उपयोग करता है, यह परमेश्वर की बात है, उस पर निर्भर है। परमेश्वर एक व्यक्ति को कुछ दिखा सकता है और किसी और को कुछ और, और उन्हें उसी विश्वासी के जीवन में भिन्न बातों के लिए उपयोग कर सकता है। हम न तो इस विषय में परमेश्वर को कोई निर्देश दे सकते हैं, और न ही उसकी कार्य-विधि के बारे में अपनी कोई धारणा बना सकते हैं।
हम परमेश्वर के वचन से देखते हैं कि परमेश्वर की कार्य-विधि है कि वह अपने सेवकों में होकर सँसार के लोगों को उनकी गलतियों के लिए और उनके परिणामों के लिए सचेत करता है, न केवल अन्य-जातियों के लिए, जैसे उसने नीनवे के लिए योना और नहूम को तथा एदोम के लिए ओबद्याह को किया; बल्कि अपने लोगों के लिए भी वह यही करता है। पुराने नियम के भविष्यद्वक्ताओं ने इस्राएलियों के लिए यही किया था – उन्होंने इस्राएलियों को, उनके राजाओं और अधिकारियों को, सामान्यतः सार्वजनिक रीति से तथा दृढ़ता के साथ, उन्हें परमेश्वर के मार्गों से भटकने और उसकी अनाज्ञाकारिता करने के परिणामों के लिए चिताया; भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की सभी पुस्तकों का प्रमुख विषय यही है। हम यह भी देखते हैं कि परमेश्वर ने अपने भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को सामान्यतः न केवल अपने लोगों तक अपनी बात पहुँचाने के लिए उपयोग, परंतु अपने चुने अथवा नियुक्त किए हुए लोगों तक भी अपनी बात पहुँचाने के लिए उपयोग किया, बजाए स्वयं सीधे से उन से बात करने के। उदाहरण के लिए, शमूएल ने राजा शाऊल को उसकी अनाज्ञाकारिता के लिए डाँटा (1 शमूएल 13:13-14; 15:17-23)। यद्यपि परमेश्वर दाऊद का उपयोग उन भजनों को लिखवाने के लिए कर रहा था, जो बाद में उसके वचन का भाग बनने थे, और इसलिए वह दाऊद से सीधे और व्यक्तिगत रीति से भी बात कर सकता था, लेकिन परमेश्वर ने दाऊद से उसकी गलती के लिए नातान नबी में होकर बात की; नातान ने न केवल दाऊद से बात ही की वरन राजा दाऊद को ऊरिय्याह तथा बतशेबा से संबंधित पाप के लिए फटकार भी लगाई (2 शमूएल 12:1-14)। यशायाह ने राजा हिजकिय्याह को बेबिलोनियों के सामने सब कुछ खोल देने के लिए डाँटा (यशायाह 39); अजर्याह तथा अस्सी अन्य याजकों ने परमेश्वर के निर्देशों का उल्लंघन करने के लिए राजा उज्जियाह का सामना किया और उसे मंदिर से धक्के देकर बाहर निकाला (2 इतिहास 26:16-20)। नए नियम की सारी पत्रियाँ परमेश्वर के सेवकों के द्वारा परमेश्वर की कलीसियाओं और अन्य सेवकों को लिखी गई हैं, उन्हें उनकी कमियों और गलतियों को दिखाने के लिए और उन्हें सुधारने का मार्ग बताने के लिए। कलीसियाओं को लिखी गई इन पत्रियों में, जिन्हें कलीसिया में सार्वजनिक रीति से पढ़ा जाता था, और आस-पास की अन्य कलीसियाओं में भी पढ़े जाने के लिए घुमाया जाता था (कुलुस्सियों 4:16; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:27), गलतियाँ करने वाले लोगों के नाम भी लिखे होते थे, जो सभी को पता चल जाते थे।
प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी, चाहे उसकी आयु, आत्मिक परिपक्वता, और प्रभु के प्रति समर्पण कैसे भी हों, प्रभु के लिए उसकी सेवकाई की गुणवत्ता और मात्रा कुछ भी हो, वह परमेश्वर के वचन में कितना भी लौलीन क्यों न हो, कलीसिया में उसका दर्जा, उसकी प्रतिष्ठा कैसी भी हो, अन्ततः वह फिर भी एक चूक सकने वाला, गलती कर सकने वाला मनुष्य मात्र ही है, जो जाने या अनजाने में, आदत के अनुसार या कभी-कभी कोई न कोई गलती तो करेगा ही। इसीलिए, परमेश्वर अन्य मनुष्यों को ही गलतियाँ दिखाने और उन्हें सुधारने का मार्ग बताने के लिए उपयोग करता है, जिससे कोई भी अपने आप को आवश्यकता से अधिक बड़ा न समझ ले। बल्कि, परमेश्वर के वचन में ये परमेश्वर के निर्देश हैं कि आत्मिक रीति से परिपक्व अन्य लोग गलती करने वाले विश्वासियों को सुधारें – गलतियों 6:1-2; याकूब 5:19-20; और बाइबल में ऐसा कहीं कोई निर्देश नहीं है कि यह एकान्त में या व्यक्तिगत रीति से किया जाना चाहिए; सामान्यतः, बाइबल में इस तरह से गलतियाँ दिखाने और सुधारे जाने के जो उदाहरण दिए गए हैं वे सार्वजनिक रीति से ही यह किए जाने के हैं। कार्यकारी सिद्धान्त यही प्रतीत होता है कि यदि व्यक्ति सार्वजनिक रीति से परमेश्वर के निर्देशों की अवहेलना और अनाज्ञाकारिता करता है, तो फिर उसे परमेश्वर से व्यक्तिगत और एकान्त में दिए गए प्रत्युत्तर की अपेक्षा नहीं करनी चाहिए, जो मरकुस 4:22-24 के लागू किए जाने के समान है। इसका कारण यह हो सकता है कि लोग उनकी गलती और पड़ने वाली डाँट के सार्वजनिक हो जाने के भय से गलतियाँ करने या उन में बने रहने के प्रति सचेत बने रहेंगे, और इस से शैतानी युक्तियों से बचे रहेंगे।
इसीलिए यह जानने और समझने के बाद कि कोई भी मनुष्य कभी सिद्ध, अचूक, और हमेशा हर बात में सही नहीं हो सकता है, अनुसरण करने के लिए हमारा आदर्श केवल प्रभु यीशु मसीह ही होना चाहिए, न कि कोई मनुष्य। मनुष्य के भय में होकर काम करना परेशानियों को निमंत्रण देना है (नीतिवचन 29:25), चाहे वह भय लिहाज़ का भय ही क्यों न हो, अर्थात किसी मनुष्य को बात बुरी लगने के लिए अधिक चिंतित होना, न कि परमेश्वर को बुरी लगने के लिए चिंतित होना, यह हमारे जीवनों में मुश्किलें खड़ी कर सकता है।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation
Believer’s Need Discipline – 1
As God’s stewards of His Church and of fellowshipping with other Believers, all Believers have to conduct themselves and help others in a manner that contributes to the growth of the Church as well as helps others to grow spiritually. In the previous articles we have seen various aspects of fulfilling this responsibility, and the role of a proper ministry of God’s Word. The Believers should never forget that the Church of God is comprised of human beings, and no person is ever perfect. We all, even the spiritually mature, the Elders, the Preachers and Teachers of God’s Word, everyone, whoever he may be, do make mistakes some time or the other, and we all need corrections for our mistakes, from time to time. God knows this, is patient and longsuffering about it, and has made provisions in His Church and amongst His Believers for His children to be made aware of their mistakes, and of being told how to correct them. But those who do not take this correction in the right way, will then eventually have to bear the consequences of their being stubborn or egoistic about it.
Therefore, no one in God’s church should live and function with the misunderstanding that they are perfect and do not make any mistakes; or that no one has the right to point out anything wrong in them and thereby hurt their feelings or lower their status in the Church. Nor should they think that if there is anything wrong in them, then God will tell them about it directly. Another form of this misunderstanding is that some Believer’s think that since a particular Elder or Believer has not said anything about something in their lives, therefore, no one else has the ability, right, or authority to point it out either – how God uses one Elder or Believer, or another, is God’s discretion. God can point out one thing to one person, and another thing to another, and use them for different things in the same Believers life. We can neither direct God about this, nor assume things about His functioning.
We see from God’s Word that it is God’s method of working that He uses His ministers to speak to and point out the errors and their consequences to the people of the world, not only to the Gentiles, e.g. Jonah and Nahum spoke to the people of Nineveh, and Obadiah spoke to Edomites; but He also does the same with His own people. The prophets of the Old Testament did just that to the Israelites – spoke to them, even to Kings and dignitaries, usually publicly and boldly, and warned them of the coming wrath of God for their disobedience and straying away from God; the writings of the Old Testament prophets are all on this theme. We also see that God even used His prophets to indirectly speak to not only His people in general, but even to His chosen and appointed ones, instead of speaking directly with these few special ones; e.g., Samuel rebuked King Saul for his disobedience (1 Samuel 13:13-14; 15:17-23). Even though God was using David to write Psalms that would later be included in His Word, and thus, could have spoken to him directly and privately, but God spoke to him about his wrong through Nathan; who not only spoke to King David but also rebuked him for his sin against Uriah and Bathsheba (2 Samuel 12:1-14). Isaiah rebuked King Hezekiah after he had exposed the kingdom to the Babylonians (Isaiah 39); Azariah and eighty other Priest withstood King Uzziah, when he transgressed God’s instructions, and even thrust him out of the Temple (2 Chronicles 26:16-20). All the letters of the New Testament, have been written by the men of God, to other Churches and men of God, to point out their short-comings and errors, and to correct them. In these letters to the Churches, which not only were read to the whole Church, but were also circulated to the other surrounding churches (Colossians 4:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:27), names of some people doing wrong have been also been written and thus they became public knowledge.
Every Christian Believer, no matter what his age, spiritual maturity, and commitment to the Lord, whatever may be his quality and quantity of service for the Lord, however well versed he may be in God's Word, whatever may be his position and status in the Church; yet he is still a fallible human being, prone to make mistakes and commit errors, whether knowingly or unknowingly, habitually or occasionally. Therefore, God does use other people to point out our mistakes and the way to correct them, so that no one may consider themselves any more than they should. Rather, it is God’s instruction in His Word, the Bible that the other spiritually mature people of God should correct the errant Believers – Galatians 6:1-2; James 5:19-20; and there is no Biblical instruction that this necessarily must be done privately, the common examples are of pointing out the errors and correcting publicly. The working principle seems to be of that if the persons disregard and disobey God, and sin against Him publicly, they should not expect a private response from God an application of Mark 4:22-24). The reason might be that people being aware of a likely public exposure and rebuke for their wrongs, will remain careful to not commit mistakes, or continue in them, and thereby remain safe from satanic ploys.
That is why, knowing and understanding that no man is ever perfect, infallible, and always correct, our role model always must only be the Lord Jesus, and not any man, ever. To live and function in the fear of man is to invite trouble (Proverbs 29:25) even if it is a fear of consideration for that person; i.e., to be more concerned about offending some man, rather than being concerned about offending God, can bring problems in our lives.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
