आराधना करने की अनिवार्यता (1)
परमेश्वर की आराधना के हमारे इस अध्ययन में, हम देख चुके हैं कि प्रार्थना और आराधना परमेश्वर से संपर्क और वार्तालाप करने के तरीके हैं। प्रार्थना में हम परमेश्वर से माँगते हैं, और आराधना में हम परमेश्वर को अर्पित करते हैं। आराधना परमेश्वर को कुछ भौतिक वस्तुएं अर्पित करने के द्वारा भी हो सकती है और शब्दों के द्वारा भी हो सकती है। शब्दों के द्वारा अर्पित की गई आराधना धन्यवाद देने, स्तुति करने, और परमेश्वर का गुणानुवाद या गुणगान करने के द्वारा होती है। सामान्यतः, सबसे पहले लोग प्रार्थना करना सीखते हैं; और अधिकांश लोग इसी स्तर पर रुके रह जाते हैं। कुछ और आगे बढ़ते हैं, और परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करना आरंभ कर देते हैं, कुछ इससे थोड़ा और आगे बढ़कर परमेश्वर की स्तुति भी करने लग जाते हैं, किन्तु बहुत ही कम होते हैं जो अपनी आराधना में वास्तव में परमेश्वर का गुणानुवाद करते हैं उसे महिमा देते हैं। पिछले लेखों में हम शब्दों से की गई आराधना की इन तीनों अभिव्यक्तियों के बारे में देख चुके हैं। आज हम परमेश्वर की आराधना करने के एक और पक्ष - आराधना की अनिवार्यता को देखेंगे; अर्थात, एक मसीही विश्वासी को आराधना करना क्यों आवश्यक है, वह केवल प्रार्थना करने वाला ही क्यों नहीं रह सकता है?
चाहे प्रार्थना हो अथवा आराधना, परमेश्वर के साथ संपर्क और वार्तालाप के लिए, हमें उसके समक्ष तो आना ही होता है। प्रभु परमेश्वर के समक्ष आए बिना, हम अपनी प्रार्थनाएँ भी उसे अर्पित नहीं कर सकते हैं। इस बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए, इस विषय से संबंधित परमेश्वर के वचन के कुछ पद देखिए:
निर्गमन 34:20 “…मुझे कोई छूछे हाथ अपना मुंह न दिखाए।”
व्यवस्थाविवरण 16:16 “वर्ष में तीन बार, अर्थात अखमीरी रोटी के पर्व, और अठवारों के पर्व, और झोंपडिय़ों के पर्व, इन तीनों पर्व में तुम्हारे सब पुरुष अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के सामने उस स्थान में जो वह चुन लेगा जाएं। और देखो, छूछे हाथ यहोवा के सामने कोई न जाए;;”
भजन संहिता 107:8 “लोग यहोवा की करुणा के कारण, और उन आश्चर्यकर्मों के कारण, जो वह मनुष्यों के लिये करता है, उसका धन्यवाद करें!”
फिलिप्पियों 4:6-7 “किसी भी बात की चिन्ता मत करो: परन्तु हर एक बात में तुम्हारे निवेदन, प्रार्थना और बिनती के द्वारा धन्यवाद के साथ परमेश्वर के सम्मुख उपस्थित किए जाएं। तब परमेश्वर की शान्ति, जो समझ से बिलकुल परे है, तुम्हारे हृदय और तुम्हारे विचारों को मसीह यीशु में सुरक्षित रखेगी।”
भजन संहिता 50:15 “और संकट के दिन मुझे पुकार; मैं तुझे छुड़ाऊंगा, और तू मेरी महिमा करने पाएगा।” (मूल इब्रानी भाषा में वाक्यांश है …और तू मेरी महिमा करेगा, न कि करने पाएगा)
इन पदों से यह प्रकट है कि जो भी परमेश्वर के समक्ष आए, उसके पास परमेश्वर को देने के लिए कुछ अवश्य होना चाहिए; यह परमेश्वर की आज्ञा है। वे इस्राएली जो परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित पर्व मनाने के लिए आते थे, उन्हें परमेश्वर को अर्पित करने के लिए कुछ भेंट भी लानी होती थी; उन्हें छूछे हाथ परमेश्वर के समक्ष आने की अनुमति नहीं थी। परमेश्वर चाहता है कि लोग उन के प्रति परमेश्वर की भलाई को समझें और जो भले कार्य वह उन के लिए करता है, उनके लिए उसका सार्वजनिक अंगीकार और धन्यवाद भी करें। प्रार्थनाओं को भी परमेश्वर को धन्यवाद के साथ चढ़ाना है, अर्थात, मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के पास भिखारी बन कर और भीख के लिए कटोरा लिए हुए नहीं, वरन उसके याजक के समान जाना है - और यह याजक का स्तर परमेश्वर प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को पहले ही प्रदान कर चुका है (1 पतरस 2:9; प्रकाशितवाक्य 1:6)। जब हम इस समझ और उसने जो कुछ हमारे लिए किया है तथा अभी भी कर रहा है, उन बातों के अंगीकार के साथ परमेश्वर के समक्ष आते हैं, तो, हमारी प्रत्येक परिस्थिति और परेशानी में, उसकी शान्ति हमारे हृदय और मनों को सुरक्षित बनाए रखती है। लोग परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं और अपेक्षा करते हैं कि वह उन्हें उनकी परिस्थितियों और परेशानियों से छुड़ाए; किन्तु छुड़ाए जाने के बाद, कितने हैं जो वापस परमेश्वर की ओर मुड़कर उस के कृतज्ञ होते हैं, उसे धन्यवाद करते हैं? हम भजन 50:5 से देखते हैं कि परमेश्वर यह आज्ञा देता है कि लोग उसकी सहायता और छुटकारे के लिए सार्वजनिक अंगीकार करें, उसकी महिमा करें। प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने इसी विचार को लूका 17:12-19 में व्यक्त किया था जब चंगाई पाने वाले दस कोढ़ियों में से केवल एक, एक सामरी ही प्रभु की कृपा के लिए उसे धन्यवाद देने के लिए वापस लौट कर आया; प्रभु ने पद 17 में इस प्रश्न को विशेष रीति से उठाया, “...क्या दसों शुद्ध न हुए? तो फिर वे नौ कहां हैं?”
हम आराधना की अनिवार्यता के बारे में सीखना अगले लेख में भी ज़ारी रखेंगे, आराधना से संबंधित अकसर कहे और प्रयोग किए जाने पदों, यूहन्ना 4:23-24 को कुछ विस्तार से समझेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Necessity of Worshipping (1)
In our study on worshipping God, we have seen that prayer and worshipping are two methods of communicating with God. In prayer, we ask from God, while in worship we give to God. Worship can be by offering material things to God, and by offering our words to God. Worship through words can be in the form of Thanking God, Praising God, and Exalting God. Commonly, people start off by learning to pray; most stay only at this stage. Some progress to Thanking God, a few more rise further and start Praising God, and rare are the ones who actually Exalt God and glorify Him in their worship. In the previous articles, we have seen about these three expressions of worship. Today, we will examine another aspect of worshipping God - The Necessity of Worship; i.e., why should a Christian Believer Worship God, and not just pray to God?
Whether in prayer, or in worshipping, we come into the presence of God, to communicate with Him. Without coming into the presence of the Lord God, we cannot even offer our prayers to Him. With this in mind, consider a few related verses from the Word of God:
Exodus 34:20 “…And none shall appear before Me empty-handed.”
Deuteronomy 16:16 “Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.”
Psalm 107:8 - "Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!"
Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Psalms 50:15 “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
It is apparent from these verses that those who come before God, have to have something to offer Him; it is God’s commandment. The Israelites who came to celebrate the Feasts ordained by God, had to bring an offering to offer to the Lord God; they were forbidden to appear before Him empty-handed. God wants that people should understand and acknowledge the goodness that God has towards them, and the good that He does for them, and be thankful to God for it. Prayers made to God have to be offered with thanksgiving, i.e., the Christian Believer has to approach God not as a beggar with a begging bowl, but as a Priest of God - a position already granted by God to every Believer (1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:6). It is when we approach God with this understanding and acknowledgement of what He has done for us, is doing for us, that we will also have His peace guarding our hearts and mind, in each and every situation that we may be in. People pray and expect God to deliver them from their circumstances, from their troubles; but how many, after their being delivered actually turn back to God to thank Him? We see from Psalm 50:5 that God commands being thankful or grateful to Him for His help; He has to be glorified; His help and deliverance has to be publicly acknowledged. The Lord Jesus re-iterated this same thought in Luke 17:12-19, where out of the ten lepers who were healed, only one, a Samaritan, returned to thank Him for His graciousness; the Lord pointedly asked in verse 17 “...Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?”
We will continue learning about the necessity of worshipping in the next article as well, and will consider the classical verses often quoted and used in context of worshipping, John 4:23-24.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
