पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा - (3) - पृथक अनुभव? - 2
हम बपतिस्मे से संबंधित एक बहुत उत्सुकता जागृत करने वाले और काफी प्रचार किए जाने वाले विषय - “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” पर वचन से देख रहे हैं। हमने बाइबल में प्रयोग किए गए संबंधित पदों से देखा था कि बाइबल में कहीं पर भी, कभी भी, “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” वाक्यांश का प्रयोग नहीं किया गया है। जब भी, और जहाँ भी प्रयोग हुआ है, “पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा” वाक्यांश का प्रयोग हुआ है। हमने वचन के उदाहरणों से यह भी देखा था कि “से” और “का” में कितना अन्तर है; और एक छोटे से शब्द के परिवर्तन के द्वारा कैसे सारा अर्थ बदल जाता है। पिछले लेख से हमने इस शब्दों की हेरा-फेरी और गलत शिक्षा के साथ जुड़ी हुई एक और गलत धारणा के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है, कि तथाकथित “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा”, कुछ लोगों के कहे के अनुसार एक “दूसरा अनुभव” है, अर्थात, पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा एक भिन्न सामर्थ्य प्रदान करना है। उन लोगों के अनुसार इसकी आवश्यकता लोगों को मसीही सेवकाई के लिए अधिक सामर्थी और प्रभावी करने के लिए होती है। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा है कि इस गढ़ी हुई शिक्षा का बाइबल से कोई आधार अथवा समर्थन नहीं है। आज हम इस गलत शिक्षा से संबंधित कुछ अन्य बातों पर विचार करेंगे, और फिर आगे चलकर इन गलत शिक्षाओं के दुष्प्रभावों को देखेंगे।
इससे पहले के फरवरी 23 के लेख में हम देख चुके हैं, कि बाइबल में, प्रेरितों 1:4-5, 8 में यह स्पष्ट लिखा हुआ है, और इसकी पुष्टि प्रेरितों 11:15-16 में भी की गई है कि पवित्र आत्मा पाना और पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा एक ही बात को कहने के दो भिन्न तरीके हैं। फिर भी पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाओं को सिखाने और फैलाने वाले, ‘से’ के स्थान पर ‘का’ लगाकर, और इस प्रकार से वाक्यांश के अर्थ को बदलकर, यही सिखाने और दिखाने का प्रयास करते हैं कि न केवल यह एक अलग बात है, वरन यह होना केवल मनुष्य के अपने प्रयासों के द्वारा ही संभव है। फिर अपने इस मन-गढ़ंत आधार पर वे यह प्रचार करते, सिखाते और बल देते हैं कि मसीही सेवकाई में लगे मसीही विश्वासियों को अवश्य ही इस तथाकथित “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” के लिए प्रयास और प्रार्थना करनी चाहिए। यह न केवल विश्वासियों का ध्यान और समय उनकी सेवकाई से हटाकर व्यर्थ बाइबल से बाहर की बात में फंसाना और उन्हें प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी होने से बाधित करना, सेवकाई और प्रभु के लिए उपयोगिता में व्यर्थ का विलंब करवाना है; वरन उनके मनों में यह बात डालना भी है कि वे परमेश्वर को बाध्य कर सकते हैं कि वह उनके लिए उनकी लालसा और इच्छा के अनुसार करें।
उन लोगों का कहना है कि “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” विश्वासी के अंदर बसे हुए पवित्र आत्मा को सक्रिय कर देता है। इस से यह अभिप्राय हो जाता है कि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, जो पश्चाताप और प्रभु में विश्वास करने के साथ ही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर की ओर से दे दिया गया (इफिसियों 1:13-14), वह आकर विश्वासी के अंदर शांत और निष्क्रिय बैठा हुआ होता है, और तब तक इस स्थिति में रहेगा, जब तक कि विश्वासी उसे जागृत कर के सक्रिय और कार्यकारी न कर दे। अर्थात, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा को नियंत्रित करने वाला वह मनुष्य है, जिसमें पवित्र आत्मा विद्यमान है; और मानो परमेश्वर में कोई स्विच लगा हुआ है जिससे उसे चालू किया जा सकता है। जबकि ऐसी कोई शिक्षा पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में प्रभु यीशु ने, न तो यूहन्ना 14 और 16 अध्यायों में अथवा कहीं और, न ही पत्रियाँ लिखने वाले प्रेरितों और शिष्यों ने किसी अन्य स्थान पर कभी भी, कहीं पर भी दी; न ही बाइबल में किसी भी अन्य स्थान पर ऐसी कोई बात कही गई है। यह केवल शैतान के बहकावे में आकर मनुष्य द्वारा अपनी इच्छा पूरी करवाने के लिए परमेश्वर पर हावी होने का प्रयास करना है।
यदि यह कहा जाए कि पवित्र आत्मा मिलता तो सभी विश्वासियों को है, जैसा प्रेरितों 2:3-4 में हुआ भी, किन्तु कुछ ऐसे भी होते हैं जिन्हें उनकी सेवकाई के लिए कुछ अधिक सामर्थ्य की आवश्यकता होती है, इसलिए उन्हें एक और अनुभव, “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” प्राप्त करने की आवश्यकता होती है, तो यह भी वचन की किसी भी शिक्षा के साथ मेल नहीं खाता है। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा एक ही है; उसकी सामर्थ्य और कार्य सभी में एक ही हैं; परमेश्वर के लोगों के प्रति उसका व्यवहार, उनकी देखभाल, और उनके प्रति ज़िम्मेदारी एक समान ही है; उसके द्वारा सभी मसीही विश्वासियों को दिए गए सभी वरदान एवं सेवाकाइयां सभी के लाभ ही के लिए हैं (1 कुरिन्थियों 12:4-11), बिना किसी भिन्नता या पक्षपात के। तो फिर यह एक अतिरिक्त या भिन्न अनुभव की आवश्यकता की धारणा का क्या आधार है? वह भी तब, जब ऐसी कोई शिक्षा बाइबल में कहीं पर नहीं दी गई है।
इन गलत शिक्षाओं और धारणाओं के दुष्प्रभाव हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। हम मसीहियों के लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि हम ऐसी गलत शिक्षाओं के प्रति सचेत रहें, और मनुष्यों की बनाई हुई रीतियों और प्रथाओं का नहीं, परमेश्वर के वचन का पालन करने वाले हों। क्योंकि अन्ततः हमारा न्याय, मनुष्यों के द्वारा बनाई और धर्म-उपदेश करके सिखाई गई, मनुष्यों की बातों के आधार पर नहीं होगा। क्योंकि मनुष्यों द्वारा बनाए गए धर्मोपदेश न केवल व्यर्थ हैं (मत्ती 15:9) किन्तु हटा भी दिए जाएंगे (मत्ती 15:13)। सभी का न्याय प्रभु यीशु के द्वारा (प्रेरितों 17:30-31), उसके वचन की अटल और अपरिवर्तनीय बातों के आधार पर होगा (यूहन्ना 12:48)। इसलिए हमें मनुष्यों को नहीं परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न करने और उसके वचन का पालन करने वाला बनना अनिवार्य है, न कि मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करने वाला और मनुष्यों के शब्दों और गढ़ी हुई शिक्षाओं का पालन करने वाला।
यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में नया जन्म पाए हुए प्रभु यीशु के शिष्य हैं, पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Baptism With the Holy Spirit - (3) - A Second Experience? - 2
We have been by looking at a very "in demand" and widely preached topic related to baptism - "the baptism of the Holy Spirit." We have seen from the related verses from the Bible that the phrase "baptism of the Holy Spirit" has never ever been used in the Bible. Whenever, and wherever it is used, the phrase "baptism with the Holy Spirit" has been used. We also saw from the examples of Scripture the difference between "with" and "of"; and how a change of a small word changes the whole meaning. Since the previous article we have taken up a misconception associated with this wrong teaching and misuse of words, that the so called "baptism of the Holy Spirit" is allegedly a “second experience”, i.e., a supposedly “another empowering” by the Holy Spirit. This is purported to be necessary to make people more effective and useful for Christian Ministry. In the last article we have seen that this contrived teaching has no support, no basis from the Bible. Today we will look at some more points related to this wrong teaching; and subsequently we will look at the harmful effects of these wrong teachings.
In the article of February 23 we have seen clearly written in the Bible in Acts 1:4-5, 8 and then affirmed in Acts 11:15-16, that receiving the Holy Spirit and being baptized with the Holy Spirit are two different ways of saying the same thing. Yet those who teach and spread these wrong teachings related to the Holy Spirit, try to not only teach and show that this "baptism of the Holy Spirit" is a different thing altogether, but also that it is accomplished only through man's own efforts. They do this by substituting the word ‘with' written in this phrase in the Bible with another word 'of', and thereby change the meaning and implication of the phrase. They then teach, preach, and emphasize that all Christians engaged in the ministry must strive and pray for receiving this contrived "baptism of the Holy Spirit." This not only diverts the Believer’s attention and time from their ministry, but also engages them in vain, unBiblical efforts. Thereby, instead of being involved in their Holy Spirit assigned ministry and service for the Lord, by causing them to be involved in unnecessary and unfruitful efforts related to receiving a non-existent thing, they are distracted away from being useful for the Lord. Moreover, it also puts the idea in their minds that they can compel God to do for them according to their own desire and will.
They say that the “baptism of the Holy Spirit” is the activation of the indwelling Holy Spirit within the Christian Believer. This implies that God's Holy Spirit, which was given by God to the believer at the time of his salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14) by repentance and coming to faith in the Lord, comes and sits quietly and passively inside the believer, and then remains in this dormant non-functional state until the Believer awakens it and makes it active and functional. That is, the Believer in whom the Holy Spirit resides, he has the ability to activate the Holy Spirit, through his efforts; as if God has a switch on Him through which man can turn Him on. Whereas no such teaching implying the “activating” the Holy Spirit by the Lord’s disciples was ever given, at anytime, anywhere in God’s Word. Neither by the Lord Jesus in John chapters 14 and 16 or anywhere else, nor by the apostles and disciples who wrote the epistles; nor is such a thing said anywhere else in the Bible. It is simply man's attempt to dominate God under the guise of spirituality through Satan’s deviousness.
If the argument that though the Holy Spirit is received by all the Believers, as happened in Acts 2:3-4, but there are some who need some more power for their ministry, so they need a second, or another experience of the Holy Spirit; i.e., they need the “baptism of the Holy Spirit”, but this argument too does not go along with any teaching of the Word of God. There is one Holy Spirit; His power and work are one; His behavior, care, and responsibility toward all of God's people is the same; all His gifts and ministry given to the Believers are for the benefit of all (1 Corinthians 12:4-11), without any differentiation or partiality. What then is the basis for this wrong teaching of the requirement of an additional or different experience by some, but not by the others? That too when no such teaching is given anywhere in the Bible.
We will see the harmful effects of these misconceptions and beliefs in the next article. It is essential for us to be wary of such wrong teachings, and to carefully follow only the Word of God, not the customs and traditions created by men. Because in the end, we will neither be judged by any man, nor on the basis of any man-made doctrines and teachings, all of which not only are vain (Matthew 15:9) but will also be taken away (Matthew 15:13). But every one of us will be judged by the Lord Jesus (Acts 17:30-31), and only on the basis of His unalterable and firmly established Word (John 12:48). Therefore, it is necessary for us to be pleasing to God, and be obedient to His Word, instead of striving to please men and obeying their word and contrived teachings.
If you are a Christian Believer, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually a Born-Again disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. Whoever may be the preacher or teacher, but you should always, like the Berean Believers, first cross-check and test all teachings that you receive, from the Word of God. Only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
