पिछले लेख में, इस बात पर विचार करते हुए कि पापों को क्षमा कर देने के बाद परमेश्वर उन्हें भुला क्यों देता है, और तब भी, अन्तिम न्याय के समय वे फिर से प्रकट कर दिए जाएँगे, हमने पाप के सँसार में प्रवेश करने के साथ होने वाली तीन बातों की समीक्षा की थी। ये तीन बातें हैं, मृत्यु – आत्मिक और शारीरिक; मनुष्यों का जीवन भर दुःख और परेशानी उठाते रहना, वे चाहे उद्धार पाए हुए हों अथवा नहीं; और जो परमेश्वर की ओर लौट आते हैं, प्रभु यीशु में होकर परमेश्वर के साथ मेल-मिलाप कर लेते हैं, उनके लिए अनन्तकालीन स्वर्गीय प्रतिफलों की प्रतिज्ञा। पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि ये स्वर्गीय प्रतिफल उन्हें बहुत बारीकी से किये गए आँकलन और न्याय के बाद दिए जाएँगे, कि उद्धार पाने के बाद उन्होंने अपना मसीही जीवन किस प्रकार से व्यतीत किया, अपने मनों में क्या कुछ बसाए और छुपाए रखा। इस न्याय के लिए, परमेश्वर द्वारा क्षमा किए गए और भुलाए गए पापों का लेखा खोला जाएगा, सभी बातें प्रकट की जाएँगी और तब न्याय तथा प्रतिफलों का दिया जाना तय होगा। आज से हम अदन की वाटिका में पाप के साथ आने वाली दूसरी बात पर विचार करना आरम्भ करेंगे – जीवन भर शारीरिक दुःख और परेशानी उठाते रहने का श्राप।
जैसा कि हम अदन की वाटिका में जो हुआ, उसके विवरण से देखते हैं, शरीरों पर पाप का दुष्प्रभाव इतना भयानक था, कि उसके कारण मनुष्यों में पाप का स्वभाव और प्रवृत्ति हमेशा के लिए घर कर गई, यहाँ तक कि, यह प्रवृत्ति उनकी भावी पीढ़ियों में भी वन्शागत होकर चलती चली गई। यह प्रभाव ऐसा है कि यह पापों के क्षमा किए जाने के बाद भी नहीं मिटता है। यह तब ही मिटता है, जब इसके प्रभाव वाला शरीर मिट जाता है और उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति वैसी सिद्ध या स्वर्गीय देह में आ जाते हैं, जैसी देह में परमेश्वर ने उनकी रचना की थी। क्योंकि यह पाप-स्वभाव प्रत्येक व्यक्ति में विद्यमान रहता है, वह चाहे उद्धार पाया हुआ हो अथवा न हो, इसी लिए प्रत्येक जन पाप करता रहता है, जैसा कि प्रेरित यूहन्ना ने लिखा है “यदि हम कहें, कि हम में कुछ भी पाप नहीं, तो अपने आप को धोखा देते हैं: और हम में सत्य नहीं। यदि कहें कि हम ने पाप नहीं किया, तो उसे झूठा ठहराते हैं, और उसका वचन हम में नहीं है” (1 यूहन्ना 1:8, 10)। हम न केवल अपने कामों के द्वारा प्रत्यक्ष पाप करते हैं, परन्तु अपने विचारों में, तथा अपने मन-मस्तिष्क में अभक्ति की, अशुद्ध और पापमय बातों को रखने के द्वारा भी अप्रत्यक्ष पाप करते हैं। इस लिए कोई भी व्यक्ति कभी यह दावा नहीं कर सकता है कि वह पूर्णतः निष्पाप है, नया-जन्म पा लेने और पापों के क्षमा हो जाने के बाद भी।
अब ध्यान कीजिए कि परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य को अपने ही स्वरूप में रचा था; इसी लिए मनुष्य का प्रत्येक वह गुण और चरित्र जो पापमय या दुष्टता का नहीं है, एक छोटी सी रीति से परमेश्वर के गुणों और चरित्र को प्रतिबिंबित करता है। इस बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए, हम एक बात पर विचार करते हैं जो हमारे परिवारों और समाज में हमेशा होती रहती है, और जिस से हम भली-भाँति परिचित हैं। चाहे हमारे घरों में हो या हमारे सामाजिक जीवनों में, प्रत्येक की गई गलती और अपराध, प्रत्येक किए गए असामाजिक काम के लिए, हमारे अन्दर की न्याय की भावना, यह माँग करती है कि उस बुराई के साथ कोई-न-कोई व्यवहार होना चाहिए और उसका निवारण किया जाना चाहिए। वह चाहे परिवार का बच्चा हो या कोई अन्य व्यक्ति, उस गलती की गम्भीरता, तथा उसे करने वाले के द्वारा उसे बारम्बार किए जाने के आधार पर, कुछ न कुछ प्रत्युत्तर दिया जाता है। यह प्रत्युत्तर एक हल्की सी नाराज़गी या डाँट हो सकती है, या उस से बढ़कर कुछ हो सकता है, अथवा कोई गम्भीर दण्ड भी हो सकता है। एक बार उस बच्चे या व्यक्ति ने उस प्रत्युत्तर का निर्वाह कर लिया, तो फिर यह मान लिया जाता है कि उस गलती या अपराध का निवारण हो गया है, और अब वह बच्चा या व्यक्ति उस बुराई को करने से पहली की स्थिति में बहाल हो गया है।
अब उस पर ध्यान कीजिए जो पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पतरस के द्वारा लिखवाया है, “सो जब कि मसीह ने शरीर में हो कर दुख उठाया तो तुम भी उस ही मनसा को धारण कर के हथियार बान्ध लो क्योंकि जिसने शरीर में दुख उठाया, वह पाप से छूट गया। ताकि भविष्य में अपना शेष शारीरिक जीवन मनुष्यों की अभिलाषाओं के अनुसार नहीं वरन परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार व्यतीत करो” (1 पतरस 4:1-2)। दूसरे शब्दों में, क्योंकि हम में परमेश्वर का न्यायी होने का गुण है, इसी लिए शरीर में किए गए पाप के लिए, शरीर ही में दण्ड के भुगतान करने की प्रवृत्ति भी है, जिस से पाप के लिए शरीर के साथ व्यवहार हो और उसकी बुराई का निवारण किया जाए; जिसके बाद फिर, पाप या बुराई से पहले की दशा में आ जाने के बाद, व्यक्ति परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार जीवन व्यतीत करे, न कि, और भी पाप करने के लिए, शरीर की लालसाओं के अनुसार। इसी लिए हम देखते हैं कि प्रत्येक जन, वह चाहे उद्धार पाया हुआ हो अथवा न हो, भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकार से दुःख और परेशानी उठता रहता है। परमेश्वर भी अपने गलती करने वाले बच्चों की ताड़ना करता है, कभी-कभी तो बहुत तीव्रता और गम्भीरता से, ताकि वे न केवल उसके पास लौट आएँ और सही हो जाएँ, परन्तु धार्मिकता के लिए उन्हें प्रशिक्षित करने के लिए भी (इब्रानियों 12:5-11)।
इसीलिए, प्रत्येक व्यक्ति, उसमें विद्यमान पाप-स्वभाव के कारण, और उससे उनमें निरन्तर बने रहने वाले पाप के कारण, किसी-न-किसी शारीरिक दुःख और परेशानी से होकर निकलता ही रहता है। लेकिन इस शारीरिक दुःख उठाने के और भी पक्ष हैं, जैसे कि परमेश्वर की योजना, परमेश्वर के लोगों पर शैतान के हमले, आदि; और इनके बारे में हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

God’s Forgiveness and Justice – 12
Remembrance of Sin Forgiven and Forgotten - 4
In the last article, while considering why does God forget sins after forgiving them, and yet they will be brought out and laid open at the time of Eternal Judgment we had recapitulated about the three aspects of what happened with the entry of sin into the world. These three are, Death – physical and spiritual; lifelong suffering for mankind, whether saved or not; and promise of eternal heavenly rewards to those who return to God and are reconciled with Him through the Lord Jesus. In the previous articles, we have already seen about the heavenly rewards – they will be given to every Christian Believer after a thorough evaluation of the Christian life they have lived, and the things they have kept in them, since after being Born-Again. For this, even the sins forgiven and forgotten by God, their record will be brought out for judgment, and the rewards given accordingly. From today we will see about the second thing that came with sin in the Garden of Eden – the curse of lifelong suffering in this physical body.
As we see from what happened in the Garden of Eden, the effect of sin on the physical bodies was such that it permanently brought the sin nature into their physical bodies, so much so, that it would keep passing on to their future generations. This effect was such that it would get eliminated even after sins were forgiven. It would be removed only after the body with the sin nature was removed and the saved mankind was restored to the ‘heavenly’ or ‘perfect’ bodies that man was created in by God before he fell into sin. Because this sin nature is present in every person, whether saved and Born-Again, or unsaved, therefore everyone keeps committing sin; as the Apostle John has written “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us” (1 John 1:8, 10). We not only sin evidently through our deeds, but even sin non-evidently, through our thoughts, and through keeping ungodly, unclean things in our minds and hearts. So, no person can ever claim to be totally and absolutely free from sin, even after being Born-Again, and his sins being forgiven by God.
Now, remember that man was created in the image of God; so, every non-sinful, non-evil attribute and characteristic of man, is from God, and reflects in a small way, the attributes and characteristics of God. With this in mind, let us see what happens in a family setting, and in our social lives – something we are very familiar with. Whether in our family, every offense, every wrong, everything unsocial, we do, it always has a repercussion – our sense of justice demands that wrongs and offenses, in some way or the other must be dealt with and neutralized. Depending upon the seriousness of the wrong or offense committed, and how often a child or the person keeps doing it, the repercussions of the offense or wrong might be just a light verbal reprimand, or something more, even going to some extreme penalties. When a child or person has undergone a punishment or repercussion for their offense, it is assumed that the offense has been balanced out or cancelled through this punishment, and the child or person can then have been considered to be restored back to the pre-offense state.
Now consider what the Holy Spirit had the Apostle Peter write “Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God” (1 Peter 4:1-2). In other words, because of God’s attribute of justice being present in us, sin in the flesh, requires punishment of the flesh, to balance out or cancel the sin, and restore the person to the pre-offense stage, where they should live their lives not for the lusts of men, i.e. for more sins in the flesh, but for the will of God. With sin nature residing and always being at work in every person, since their birth to their death, everyone is under the repercussions of sin in their lives, all the time. That is why we see everyone, whether saved or unsaved, suffering, in varying intensities and duration, from something or the other in their lives. God too reprimands his misbehaving children, at times severely, to not only to correct and restore them back to Him but to also train them for righteousness (Hebrews 12:5-11). And this will continue lifelong for everyone.
Therefore, every person, because of the inherent sin nature, and continual presence of sin in them, also continues to suffer from some physical or bodily problem or the other. But there are other aspects to this physical suffering – e.g., God’s plan, and satanic attacks on God’s people, and we will consider about them in the next article.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
