परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करना – 4
वर्तमान में हम प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी के सीखने के लिए अनिवार्य, इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में उल्लेखित छः आरम्भिक बातों में से दूसरी, “परमेश्वर पर विश्वास रखना” के बारे में विचार कर रहे हैं। किसी में विश्वास रखने के लिए, न केवल उस व्यक्ति के गुणों, विशेषताओं, और चरित्र को जानना आवश्यक है, वरन उसके साथ एक निकट सम्बन्ध भी होना चाहिए, जिससे उस पर भरोसा किया जा सके, और किसी आवश्यकता के समय उस से सहायता मिलने आश्वस्त रहा जा सके। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा है कि यद्यपि परमेश्वर आत्मा है, अदृश्य है, फिर भी उसने अपने विषय प्रमाण अपनी सृष्टि में रखे हैं; और उसका वचन, बाइबल, हमें उसके गुणों, विशेषताओं, और चरित्र के बारे में बताती है। पिछले लेख में हमने उसके गुणों और विशेषताओं में से दो के बारे में देखा था: पहला कि वह धीरजवन्त, विलम्ब से क्रोध करने वाला परमेश्वर है; और दूसरा, वह न्यायी परमेश्वर है जो पाप की अनदेखी नहीं करता है। परमेश्वर ने जैसी आज्ञा दी है, पाप के दो ही समाधान हैं; या तो पाप परमेश्वर के द्वारा प्रभु यीशु के कलवरी के क्रूस पर दिए गए प्रायश्चित वाले बलिदान के आधार पर क्षमा किया जा सकता है; अन्यथा, यदि पापों के लिए यह क्षमा प्राप्त नहीं की गई है, तो फिर अन्ततः उनका न्याय होगा, उन के लिए दण्ड दिया जाएगा। यह प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का सोचा-समझा निर्णय है कि वह अपने पापों के लिए क्या व्यवहार चाहता है – प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास में आने के द्वारा परमेश्वर से पापों की क्षमा प्राप्त करना चाहता है, या अपने पापों में बने रहने का निर्णय लेने के द्वारा वह उनके लिए परमेश्वर के न्याय और दण्ड का सामना करना चाहता है। आज हम परमेश्वर के एक ऐसे गुण और विशेषता के बारे में बात करेंगे, जिसके बारे में शायद ही कभी कोई चर्चा होती है, और जो बहुत कम समझा जाता है।
जैसा कि बाइबल के आरम्भिक पद, उत्पत्ति 1:1-5 दिखाते हैं, परमेश्वर स्थान (आकाश/space), पदार्थ (पृथ्वी और आकाश की सामग्री), ऊर्जा (उजियाला), और समय (दिन से रात का अन्तराल जो पहला दिन कहलाया) का सृष्टिकर्ता है। सृष्टि जिसे आज हम जानते हैं, वह ‘आकाश’ या ‘अंतरिक्ष/space’ तथा समय के विस्तार और उन की सीमाओं में विद्यमान पदार्थ और ऊर्जा के विभिन्न स्वरूप हैं, जो परमेश्वर द्वारा उनकी निर्धारित स्थिति और रूप में रहते हैं, उसके अनुसार परस्पर एक-दूसरे को प्रभावित करते हैं, और कार्य करते हैं। परमेश्वर जो स्थान/आकाश, पदार्थ, ऊर्जा, और समय का सृष्टिकर्ता है, स्वयं इन सब से ऊपर और पृथक है। वह न तो इनकी सीमाओं से बन्धा है, और न ही उनकी सीमाओं और क्षमताओं से सीमित होकर काम करता है, जैसा कि हम, जो सृजे गए हैं करते हैं; बल्कि सृष्टि में जो कुछ भी है वह उसी में विद्यमान है और कार्य करता है (कुलुस्सियों 1:17)। परमेश्वर समय के अस्तित्व से बन्धा नहीं है; वह कल, आज, और युगानुयुग एक सा है; कभी नहीं बदलता है (भजन 90:2; 102:27; विलापगीत 5:19; मलाकी 3:6; यूहन्ना 8:56-58; इब्रानियों 1:12; 7:24; 13:8; याकूब 1:17; प्रकाशितवाक्य 1:8, 17-18)। परमेश्वर, हमारे समय को नापने या बीतने के माप से बन्धा हुआ नहीं है (भजन 39:5; 90:4; 2 पतरस 3:8)। बल्कि, इसके विपरीत, परमेश्वर समय को नियंत्रित करता है; वह न केवल समय को आगे बढ़ने से रोक सकता है (यहोशू 10:12-14), बल्कि उसे पीछे भी कर सकता है (2 राजाओं 20:9-11)।
अधिकाँश विश्वासियों के लिए यह एहसास करना और मानना – कि परमेश्वर समय से पृथक और परे है (अय्यूब 10:5), कठिन होता है। क्योंकि वे इसका एहसास करके, इसे स्वीकार नहीं करते हैं और इसे परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर लागू नहीं करते हैं, इसलिए वे कई बातों को गलत समझते हैं, उनकी गलत व्याख्या करते हैं, और उन्हें गलत रीति से लागू करते हैं। क्योंकि परमेश्वर के वचन की बातों के प्रति उनकी समझ, व्याख्या, और उन बातों को लागू करना इसी समझ के साथ है कि परमेश्वर भी समय के विस्तार और सीमाओं में काम करता है, इसलिए वे परमेश्वर की कई बातों के विषय कई गलतियाँ करते हैं। जैसा हम समझते और देखते हैं, तथा अपनी समझ के लिए समय से सम्बन्धित बातों को लागू करते हैं, उसकी बजाए यदि हम परमेश्वर के समय के विस्तार और सीमाओं से परे होने, और उसके लिए हर बात के वर्तमान और अभी में होने, न कि भूतकाल-वर्तमान काल-भविष्यकाल में होने के दृष्टिकोण से बाइबल की बातों को देखें और समझें तो परमेश्वर के पूर्व-ज्ञान, पूर्व-निर्धारण या पूर्व-निर्धारित नियति, चुने जाना, कुछ लोगों के लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा पहले से ही दण्ड निर्धारित करके रखना, उद्धार के अनन्तकालीन होने कभी खोए न जाने, आदि को समझने में बहुत सहायता मिलेगी। यद्यपि हमारी सहायता के लिए और हमें समझना सहज करने के लिए परमेश्वर भूतकाल-वर्तमान काल-भविष्यकाल के सन्दर्भ में बात करता है, अपने विषय में भी और अपने कामों और योजनाओं के बारे में भी, किन्तु यह इसलिए नहीं है कि वह समय से बन्धा हुआ है, बल्कि इसलिए है क्योंकि हम बात को उसी रीति से समझते हैं। और वह जो कह रहा है वह हमारे समझने, सीखने और पालन करने के लिए है; इसलिए वह उन अभिव्यक्तियों को उपयोग करता है जिन्हें हम समझ सकते हैं, पालन कर सकते हैं।
यह बात कि परमेश्वर समय से पृथक और परे है, बाइबल के परमेश्वर का एक और अनुपम गुण है। सँसार की किसी भी अन्य विश्वास या मान्यता में ईश्वर के समय से पृथक और परे होने की धारणा नहीं पाई जाती है। मसीही विश्वास को छोड़कर, किसी भी अन्य विश्वास या मान्यता में समय को हमेशा ही उस विश्वास या मान्यता के ईश्वर से ऊपर, तथा उन को समय और भौगोलिक सीमाओं के अन्तर्गत कार्य करने को ही दिखाया गया है। यह इस बात का सूचक है कि वे सभी ईश्वर मनुष्य की कल्पनाओं की उपज हैं; क्योंकि मनुष्य का सीमित मस्तिष्क केवल समय और स्थान की सीमाओं के अन्तर्गत काम करने के बारे में ही जानता और मानता है। मनुष्य कभी भी किसी के भी समय और स्थान के विस्तार और सीमाओं से परे, उसके असीमित होने की कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकता है, समय को नियंत्रित करने वाला होने का विचार भी नहीं कर सकता है।
अगले लेख में हम यहाँ से और आगे बढ़ेंगे और परमेश्वर के गुणों, विशेषताओं, और चरित्र के बारे में और बातों को देखेंगे, जिस से कि हमारा “परमेश्वर पर विश्वास” मात्र कल्पनाओं और धारणाओं पर आधारित कोई अन्ध-विश्वास न हो; बल्कि हमारा “परमेश्वर पर विश्वास” उसके बारे में दिए गए बाइबल के तथ्यों पर आधारित हो। ऐसा विश्वास स्थिर और दृढ़ होगा, अडिग होगा, और शैतान के लिए हमें किसी झूठी शिक्षा अथवा गलत सिद्धान्त तथा तरह-तरह की त्रुटिपूर्ण बातों के द्वारा बहका या भरमा कर गलत मार्ग पर डाल देना सम्भव नहीं होगा।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Elementary Principles – 17
Faith Towards God - 4
We are presently considering “Faith Towards God,” the second of the six elementary principles mentioned in Hebrews 6:1-2, that every Born-Again Christian Believer should learn. To have faith in someone requires not only knowing the attributes, characteristics, and the character of that person, but also being in a close relationship with him, thereby being able to trust him and rely on him for any time of need. In the previous article we have seen that though God is Spirit, is invisible, yet He has placed proofs about Him in His creation; and His Word, the Bible speaks to us about His attributes, characteristics, and character. In the last article we also saw two of the attributes and characteristics of God: firstly, that though He is a patient, long-suffering God; secondly, but He is also a just God who does not condone sin. As God has commanded, there are only two remedies for sin; sin can either be forgiven by Him on the basis of the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus made on the Cross of Calvary; or, if this forgiveness for sins has not been obtained, then eventually it will be judged and punished by Him. It is every person’s considered decision, how he wants his sins to be handled – by God forgiving them through their coming to faith in the Lord Jesus, or by God judging them and punishing him for their deciding to continue in their sins. Today we will look at a rarely talked about and often very poorly understood attribute and characteristic of God.
As the opening verses of the Bible, Genesis 1:1-5 show, God is the creator of Space, Matter, Energy (heavens, earth, matter in the heavens) and Time (period spanning day and night, called the first day). The creation as we know it, is matter and energy in their various forms, that exist, interact, and function in the manner determined by God for them, in space and time. God as the creator of matter, energy, space, and time is over and above them. He is neither bound by them, nor does He function within their boundaries and limits, as we – the created beings do; but everything exists and functions in Him (Colossians1:17). For God time does not exist; He is the same yesterday, today and forever; never changing (Psalm 90:2; 102:27; Lamentations 5:19; Malachi 3:6; John 8:56-58; Hebrews 1:12; 7:24; 13:8; James 1:17; Revelation 1:8, 17-18). God is not bound by our measures and concepts of passage of time (Psalm 39:5; 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8). Rather, God controls time; He can not only stop it from moving forward (Joshua 10:12-14), but also reverse it, move it back (2 Kings 20:9-11).
This, for most Believers is a difficult concept to realize and accept – that God is outside of time (Job 10:5). Since they do not realize, accept, and apply this, while trying to understand, interpret, and apply the things written in God’s Word; therefore, they misunderstand, misinterpret, and misapply many things written in the Bible. Because their understanding, interpretation, and application of God’s Word is as if God too functions within the scope and limits of time, and therefore they commit many errors about the things of God. Problems related to understanding the concepts of fore-knowledge, pre-destination, election, God’s retribution for some, salvation being eternal, etc., become much easier to understand and follow, when seen from this perspective of God being outside of time, and for Him everything being in the present and now, instead of happening in past-present-future, as we perceive them, as we think and apply them for our understanding and interpretation of things. Though for our convenience and to help us understand, God does speak about past-present-future even in context of Himself, His works, and His actions. But that is not because He is bound by time, but since that is how we understand things, and what He is saying is for us to understand, learn, and follow, so He uses expressions that we can understand and apply.
God being outside of time is another concept that is unique to the God of the Bible. In no other faith or belief is this concept of the deity being over and above time seen. In every faith and belief other than the Christian Faith, time is shown as being over and above even the deities, all of whom function within the scope and limits of time, and their geographical location. This is an indicator of those deities being products of human imagination, since the finite human mind that only knows about functioning within the limits of space and time, can never imagine anything or anyone to be infinite and beyond the limits of time, let alone being one who even controls time.
In the next article we will move ahead and consider further about attributes, characteristics, and the character of God, so that we do not have a blind “Faith towards God” based on suppositions; rather our faith in Him be based on Biblical facts about Him. Such a faith will be firm and unshakeable, rendering it impossible for Satan to mislead us into false teachings, wrong doctrines, and various kinds of errors.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
