परमेश्वर के वचन से बढ़ोतरी की हमारे वर्तमान अध्ययन श्रृंखला में हम व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन से सम्बन्धित बातों को प्रेरितों 2 और 15 अध्याय में से देख रहे हैं। हमने प्रेरितों 2 में पतरस द्वारा भक्त यहूदियों को दिए गए सन्देश में से देखा है कि प्रेरितों 2:38-42 में सात बातें दी गई हैं, जिन से प्रथम कलीसिया का आरम्भ और बढ़ोतरी हुई। इन सात में से चार बातें, जिन्हें “मसीही जीवन के स्तम्भ” भी कहा जाता है, प्रेरितों 2:42 में दिए गए हैं, और आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी इन चार बातों का निर्वाह करने में लौलीन रहते थे। इन चार में से पहली बात है परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करना। हाल ही के लेखों में हम बाइबल में से उन कारणों को देख रहे हैं कि प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन क्यों करना चाहिए; और अभी तक हम पाँच कारण देख चुके हैं। जो अन्तिम कारण हमने देखा है, वह है क्योंकि परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन हमें प्रभु यीशु के बारे में सिखाता है; और पिछले दो लेखों में हमने देखा है कि प्रभु यीशु के बारे में सीखना, प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए अनिवार्य क्यों है, और ऐसा करने से मसीही विश्वासी को क्या लाभ और सहायता मिलती है। आज हम छठे कारण को देखेंगे कि क्यों प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के अध्ययन में लगे रहना चाहिए।
शैतान, उसके दूतों, और उनकी युक्तियों पर जयवन्त होने के लिए।
प्रभु यीशु ने, शैतान पर उसके जयवन्त होने के उदाहरण के द्वारा यह दिखाया है कि मसीही विश्वासियों, प्रभु के शिष्यों, को शैतान पर किस तरह से जयवन्त होना है। मत्ती 4:1-11 और लूका 4:1-13 में दर्ज प्रभु यीशु की परीक्षाओं में, जो प्रभु के बपतिस्मे के तुरन्त बाद और उस की पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के आरम्भ करने से पहले हुई थीं, हम देखते हैं कि शैतान ने प्रभु को पवित्रशास्त्र के अनुचित प्रयोग के द्वारा बहकाने और गिराने का प्रयास किया। लेकिन प्रभु उसके विरुद्ध दृढ़ खड़ा रहा, और उन्हीं पवित्रशास्त्र की सही व्याख्या और उपयोग के द्वारा उस पर जयवन्त हुआ। प्रभु ने शैतान को हराने और उस पर जयवन्त होने के लिए, पवित्रशास्त्र के सही उपयोग के अतिरिक्त और किसी भी बात का उपयोग नहीं किया।
हम पहले के लेखों में देख चुके हैं कि शैतान ने किस प्रकार से धार्मिक अगुवों और प्रचारकों के द्वारा परमेश्वर के वचन को भ्रष्ट करवाया है, और फिर यही भ्रष्ट किया हुआ वचन, लोगों में परमेश्वर के वचन, यद्यपि वह है नहीं, के नाम से प्रचार और प्रसार किया जाता है। शैतान वचन की गलत व्याख्या, अनुचित हवालों, गलत तरीके से लागू करना, और लोगों को परमेश्वर के भ्रष्ट किए गए वचन द्वारा भरमाने भटकाने की अपनी युक्ति का बहुत प्रभावी रीति से उपयोग करता है। जैसा कि प्रभु यीशु ने दिखाया है, इस शैतानी युक्ति से सुरक्षित रहने और विजयी होने का एकमात्र तरीका है पवित्रशास्त्र को जानना, और उसका उचित हवाला देकर, उसे सही तरीके से लागू करना। जब पवित्रशास्त्र सही तरीके से लागू किया गया, तब शैतान प्रभु के सामने खड़ा नहीं रह सका, उसे पीछे हटना और वहाँ से जाना पड़ा। जब हम पवित्रशास्त्र को सही रीति से उपयोग में लाते हैं, तो जिस तरह से शैतान प्रभु के सामने खड़ा नहीं रह सका, वरन उसे पीछे हटना और जाना पड़ा, उसी तरह से वह हमारे सामने भी टिक नहीं पाएगा, और उसे पीछे हटकर जाना पड़ेगा। लेकिन इसके लिए पवित्रशास्त्र को पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा सीखना होगा, जो यही करने के लिए विश्वासियों को दिया गया है (यूहन्ना 14:16, 26); और फिर पवित्र आत्मा के मार्गदर्शन और सहायता से पवित्रशास्त्र को शैतान को हराने के लिए प्रयोग करना होगा। यही, अपने आप में, विश्वासियों के द्वारा परमेश्वर के वचन का लौलीन होकर अध्ययन करना अनिवार्य बना देता है।
इफिसियों 6:13-17 में परमेश्वर के सारे हथियारों, उसके रक्षा कवच, का वर्णन दिया गया है, जिनके द्वारा विश्वासी शैतानी शक्तियों के सामने खड़ा रह सके, “इसलिये परमेश्वर के सारे हथियार बान्ध लो, कि तुम बुरे दिन में सामना कर सको, और सब कुछ पूरा कर के स्थिर रह सको। सो सत्य से अपनी कमर कसकर, और धार्मिकता की झिलम पहिन कर। और पांवों में मेल के सुसमाचार की तैयारी के जूते पहिन कर। और उन सब के साथ विश्वास की ढाल ले कर स्थिर रहो जिस से तुम उस दुष्ट के सब जलते हुए तीरों को बुझा सको। और उद्धार का टोप, और आत्मा की तलवार जो परमेश्वर का वचन है, ले लो।” विश्वासियों के इस सुरक्षा कवच में जितने हथियार लिखे हुए हैं, एक को छोड़ कर, शेष सभी बचाव के हथियार हैं; केवल एक ही है जो वार या आक्रमण करने का हथियार है, अर्थात परमेश्वर का वचन, जिसे आत्मा की तलवार कहा गया है। दूसरे शब्दों में, परमेश्वर के लोगों पर हमले करने वाली शैतान और उसकी ताकतों को हराने के लिए, परमेश्वर द्वारा उसके लोगों को एक ही हथियार दिया गया है, परमेश्वर का वचन। अब, यदि विश्वासी इस हथियार के प्रयोग में कमज़ोर होगा, या जानता ही नहीं होगा कि इसका उपयोग कैसे करना है, तो वह हमेशा ही एक हारा हुआ जीवन जीता रहेगा। परमेश्वर के अन्य हथियार उसका बचाव तो करते रहेंगे, उसकी हानि नहीं होने देंगे, लेकिन वह शैतान पर विजयी होकर, उसे पीछे हटने और चले जाने के लिए बाध्य नहीं करने पाएगा।
अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे कि हमला करने के लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए इस हथियार, परमेश्वर के वचन, को किस तरह से प्रयोग करना है कि हम शैतान पर विजयी हो सकें, उसे पीछे हटने और चले जाने के लिए बाध्य कर सकें।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 1 - Word (6)
In our present serial study on Growth through God’s Word, we are considering the things related to practical Christian living from Acts chapters 2 and 15. We have seen that in Peter’s sermon to the devout Jews, in Acts chapter 2, seven things are given in Acts 2:38-42, that resulted in the initiation and growth of the first Church. Of these seven, four are given in Acts 2:42, and they are also known as the “Pillars of Christian Living” and the initial Christian Believers engaged steadfastly in them. The first of these four pillars is studying God’s Word. In the recent articles we have been learning from the Bible about the reasons why every Christian Believer should study God’s Word; and so far we have seen five. The last reason we have seen is because studying God’s Word teaches us about the Lord Jesus Christ; and over the last two articles we have seen why learning about the Lord Jesus is essential for every Believer, and how doing this benefits and helps the Christian Believers. Today we will look at the sixth reason why every Christian Believer should be engaged in studying God’s Word, the Bible.
To overcome Satan, his messengers, and their devices.
The Lord Jesus, through the example of how He overcame Satan, has shown us how the Christian Believers, the disciples of the Lord, can overcome him. In the temptations of the Lord, recorded in Matthew 4:1-11 and Luke 4:1-13, immediately after His baptism and before He began His earthly ministry, we see that Satan tried to mislead the Lord and make Him fall through misusing and misquoting the Scriptures. But the Lord stood steadfast against him, and overcame him by stating the correct interpretation of those same Scriptures. The Lord did not use anything other than the Scriptures in the right way, to overcome and defeat Satan.
We have seen in the earlier articles, how Satan, through the religious leaders and preachers has corrupted God’s Word, and it is this corrupted word that is being preached and spread as god’s word, which it is not. Satan very effectively uses this ploy of misinterpreting, misquoting, misapplying, and misleading people through the corrupted Word of God. The only way of staying safe and victorious against this satanic ploy, as shown by the Lord Jesus, is to know, quote, and apply the Scriptures in the right manner. When we use the Scriptures the right way, as Satan could not stand before the Lord and had to retreat, similarly he will not be able to stand before us, and will have retreat. But this means knowing and learning the Scriptures through the Holy Spirit, given to the Believers for this purpose (John 14:16, 26); and using them to defeat Satan and his ploys under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. Thereby making it imperative for the Believers to be steadfast in studying God’s Word.
In Ephesians 6:13-17, the whole armor of God has been given, so that the Believers can withstand the evil forces, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Amongst all the pieces of this armor except for one are for the defense of the Believer; there is only one piece which is for offense, i.e., God’s word, called the Sword of the Spirit. In other words, the only provision made by God for His people to overcome Satan and his forces that attack them, is God’s Word. Now, if the Believer is weak in using this weapon, and is unaware of how to use it, he will always live a defeated life; since though the other defensive pieces of his armor will protect him from harm, he will not be able to overpower Satan and make him retreat.
In the next article we will see how to hold and use this God given weapon of offense, the Word of God, to overcome Satan and make him retreat from us.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
