मसीही जीवन में अपरिपक्वता के कारण
प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा अपनी कलीसिया में विभिन्न कार्यों और जिम्मेदारियों को निभाने के लिए पाँच प्रकार के कार्यकर्ता या सेवक नियुक्त किए गए हैं (इफिसियों 4:11), जिनके कार्यों और सेवकाइयों के विषय, जो मुख्यतः वचन की विभिन्न प्रकार की सेवकाई से संबंधित हैं, हम पिछले लेखों में देख चुके हैं। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पाँच प्रकार के भिन्न सेवक नियुक्त होना अनिवार्य नहीं है, किन्तु प्रत्येक स्थानीय मण्डली में उन पाँच प्रकार की वचन की सेवकाइयों का होना अनिवार्य है; वही कलीसिया और उसके सदस्यों की उन्नति का आधार है। इसके बाद हमने इफिसियों 4:12, 13 से देखा है कि उन पाँच प्रकार की वचन की सेवकाइयों का एक क्रमिक प्रभाव होता है, जो मसीही विश्वासियों, उनके मसीही जीवनों, और कलीसिया की भी उन्नति तथा सिद्धता का कारण ठहरता है। किसी भी स्थानीय कलीसिया में वचन से संबंधित इन पाँच सेवकाइयों की, तथा उनके कारण होने वाले उन प्रभावों की उपस्थिति उस कलीसिया और उसके मसीही विश्वासी सदस्यों के आत्मिक स्तर, परिपक्वता, और आत्मिक सिद्धता की पहचान है। आज हम उन पाँच सेवकाइयों से मसीही विश्वासियों के जीवनों और कलीसियाओं में होने वाले प्रभावों से संबंधित अगले पद, इफिसियों 4:14 को देखेंगे।
यह पद पिछले लेख में कही गई आरंभिक बात की पुष्टि करता है। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि मसीही विश्वास और प्रभु यीशु की पहचान में सभी ईसाई या मसीही लोगों में एक-मनता के न होने, ईसाई या मसीही समाज में अनेकों गुटों, समुदायों, डिनॉमिनेशंस के होने, और उनमें परस्पर विरोध तथा टकराव की स्थिति होने का आधार-भूत कारण है मसीही विश्वासियों का मनुष्यों और संस्थाओं या डिनॉमिनेशंस के द्वारा दी जानी वाली शिक्षाओं और बातों पालन करना, किन्तु परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से सीख कर, उनकी आज्ञाकारिता में बने नहीं रहना। यदि सभी परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने वाले हो जाएंगे, तो सभी के पास एक ही शिक्षा, एक ही बात, एक ही सिद्धांत होंगे; परस्पर भिन्नता और मतभेद का आधार ही समाप्त हो जाएगा, समस्त विश्वव्यापी कलीसिया एक समान हो जाएगी, अति-प्रभावी हो जाएगी। इफिसियों 4:14 “ताकि हम आगे को बालक न रहें, जो मनुष्यों की ठग-विद्या और चतुराई से उन के भ्रम की युक्तियों की, और उपदेश की, हर एक बयार से उछाले, और इधर-उधर घुमाए जाते हों” मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसिया में यह अपरिपक्वता, विभाजन, और मतभेद उत्पन्न करने वाली चार प्रकार की बातों को हमारे सामने रखता है:
बालक, अर्थात अपरिपक्व होना
मनुष्यों की ठग-विद्या और चतुराई
भ्रम की युक्तियों
(भ्रामक) उपदेश
यहाँ दी गई पहली बात है बालक या अपरिपक्व होना। मसीही विश्वास में आने, पापों से पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु मसीह को अपना उद्धारकर्ता ग्रहण करने और अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करने को परमेश्वर की संतान हो जाना (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), “नया जन्म” प्राप्त करना, अर्थात, शारीरिक जीवन से आत्मिक जीवन में जन्म लेना कहा गया है, जिसके बिना कोई भी न तो परमेश्वर के राज्य को देख सकता है, और न ही उसमें प्रवेश कर सकता है (यूहन्ना 3:1-7)। प्रेरित पतरस में होकर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने इन नए जन्मे हुए शिशुओं को पुराने शारीरिक स्वभाव को त्याग कर, निर्मल आत्मिक दूध, अर्थात परमेश्वर के वचन की लालसा रखने को कहा, जिससे वे आत्मिक या मसीही जीवन में बढ़ते जाएं (1 पतरस 2:1-2 - इन पदों को अंग्रेज़ी अनुवादों में भी देखें)।
किन्तु बहुधा यह भी देखा जाता है कि मसीह में आने के कुछ समय के पश्चात, उन नए विश्वासियों का मसीही जीवन के प्रति जोश और लगाव ठण्डा पड़ने लगता है, और धीरे-धीरे वे मसीही विश्वासियों की संगति से, वचन की शिक्षा प्राप्त करने से दूर हटने लगते हैं। सांसारिक तथा पारिवारिक कार्य और ज़िम्मेदारियाँ बहुतेरों की आत्मिक बढ़ोतरी में रुकावटें उत्पन्न कर देती हैं। यह एक परीक्षा का, एक चुनौती का समय होता है, जब उस मसीही विश्वासी को यह तय करना होता है कि वह अपनी देखभाल स्वयं करेगा और अपने प्रयासों से अपने लिए सांसारिक लाभ की बातों को अर्जित करेगा, या वह इसकी ज़िम्मेदारी परमेश्वर के हाथों में ही रहने देगा, और परमेश्वर को ही अपने वायदे के अनुसार उस मसीही बालक की उचित और उपयुक्त देखभाल, उन्नति और बढ़ोतरी करवाने देगा (मत्ती 6:25-34)। अधिकांश लोग इस परीक्षा में फेल हो जाते हैं, परमेश्वर पर भरोसा बनाए रखने के स्थान पर, वे अपने ही प्रयासों और परिश्रम तथा युक्तियों से अपनी देखभाल, उन्नति और बढ़ोतरी के कार्यों में लग जाते हैं, तथा परमेश्वर, उसके वचन, उसके लोगों की संगति से दूर हो जाते हैं। इससे क्योंकि उन्हें अब आवश्यक वचन की शिक्षा, उचित और उपयुक्त मात्रा में आत्मिक भोजन नहीं मिलता है, जितना उनकी आत्मिक बढ़ोतरी के लिए उन्हें चाहिए इसलिए उनका आत्मिक जीवन दुर्बल तथा अप्रभावी रहता है।
इस आत्मिक कुपोषण की स्थिति को कैसे पहचाना तथा समझा जा सकता है? परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने इसके लिए उन “बालक” या अपरिपक्व रहने वाले मसीहियों में पाए जाने वाले लक्षण दो स्थानों पर लिखवाए हैं। इन लक्षणों का विश्लेषण और व्याख्या हम अगले लेख से आरंभ करेंगे। यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करने और मसीह यीशु को अपना व्यक्तिगत उद्धारकर्ता ग्रहण करने, उसे अपना जीवन समर्पित करने और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में चलने का निर्णय लेने के समय से लेकर, अभी तक के अपने मसीही जीवन की उन्नति और बढ़ोतरी के बारे में आप अपने लिए क्या कहेंगे? क्या आपकी मसीही जीवन की उन्नति और बढ़ोतरी उस समय-अवधि के अनुसार संतोषजनक है, या कहीं आप पिछड़ गए हैं? कहीं, जैसा सामान्यतः होता है, सांसारिक तथा पारिवारिक कार्यों और ज़िम्मेदारियों के निर्वाह ने आपके मसीही विश्वास और जीवन की बढ़ोतरी को बाधित तो नहीं कर दिया है? आप अपनी हर प्रकार की आवश्यकताओं के लिए किस पर भरोसा रखते हैं और आश्रित रहते हैं - अपने आप पर, अपने प्रयासों, परिश्रम तथा मानवीय सहयोगियों एवं सहायकों पर, या फिर परमेश्वर पर (मत्ती 6:33)? संसार और संसार की सभी बातें यहीं छूट जाएंगी, परलोक में इनमें से कुछ भी साथ नहीं जाएगा; जाएँगी तो केवल वही आशीषें जो परमेश्वर देगा, अन्य सभी यही छूट जाएगा, नाश हो जाएगा (1 यूहन्ना 2:15-17)। इसलिए यदि आपको अपने मसीही जीवन में कुछ सुधार करने हैं, तो अभी समय और अवसर रहते कर लीजिए; बाद में यदि देर हो गई, तो बहुत भारी हानि में पड़ जाएंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Reasons of Immaturity in the Believers Life
In the previous articles we have seen from Ephesians 4:11, that the Lord Jesus Christ, for the various works and functions in the Church and Christian life, has set five ministries and appointed workers for these ministries. These ministries are essentially related to the Ministry of God’s Word; and it is not necessary that five different kinds of workers carry out these five ministries. What is essential is that all of these five different ministries be carried out in the life of a Christian Believer and the Church of the Lord. After this we have seen from Ephesians 4:12-13 that these five ministries produce serially progressive effects, or steps of growth and edification in the lives of the Church and the Christian Believers, that leads to spiritual maturity in their lives. Today we will see the next verse related to this spiritual growth, edification, and maturity - Ephesians 4:14.
This verse affirms the initial part of the previous article. In the previous article we had seen that because of the lack of unity in understanding the Christian Faith and understanding about the Lord Jesus amongst the various groups, sects, denominations, there are mutual oppositions, conflicts, and problems. The basic reason for this state of affairs is people following the teachings of men and denominations or institutions, instead of learning God’s Word from God the Holy Spirit, then obeying and adhering to it. If all learn from the Holy Spirit, then everyone will have the same teachings, same doctrines, and will follow the same things; the very basis of mutual differences and conflicts will be eliminated, the world-wide Church will function in a uniform manner, and be greatly effective for the Lord. Ephesians 4:14, “that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting” places before the Christina Believers and the Church of the Lord Jesus, four things that lead to these differences, oppositions, conflicts, and immaturity in them. These four are:

The first thing stated here is being childish, i.e., being immature. A person’s repenting of sins, asking forgiveness of his sins from the Lord Jesus, accepting Him as his personal savior, and surrendering one’s life to the Lord has been called being born as a spiritual infant, as the child of God (John 1:12-13), being “Born-Again”, without which no one can, neither see nor enter into God’s Kingdom (John 3:1-7). Through the Apostle Peter, the Holy Spirit has instructed these spiritual infants to lay aside the old nature of the flesh, and sincerely desire the pure spiritual milk, which is the Word of God, to grow thereby in their spiritual and Christian lives (1 Peter 2:1-2).
But it is often seen that sometime after coming into the Christian Faith, their enthusiasm starts waning off, and they gradually start moving away from the fellowship with other Believers, and from learning the Word of God. The job requirements and family responsibilities often become an impediment in their spiritual growth. This is a time of being tested, of persevering and facing spiritual challenges; it is in these times that the Christian Believer has to take a decision, whether he will trust in his own ability to look after himself, meet his needs, and through his own efforts acquire and accumulate worldly things for his life; or, will he let this responsibility stay in the hands of God, and allow God to provide for him, make him sufficient and prospering as per the Lord’s assurance (Matthew 6:25-34); while he remains committed to the Lord, giving Him the first priority as he had committed to do on accepting the Lord. Mostly people fail in this test; instead of trusting the Lord and letting Him guide and help them, they prefer to trust in their own ways and methods, go the way the other worldly people grow and prosper, and neglect God, His Word, and fellowship, they move away to work and achieve as the people of the world do. Because of this, since now they no longer receive the proper and adequate teachings of the Word of God, they are starved of spiritually nutritious food, therefore their spiritual growth remains stagnant or stunted, and they stifle their own blessings.
How can we recognize and understand this condition of spiritual malnourishment? God the Holy Spirit has had its signs written down at two places in God’s Word, of this immaturity, of being “children.” We will consider these signs and their discussion from the next article. If you are a Christian Believer, then since the time of repenting from your sins, accepting the Lord as your savior, and committing yourself to live and walk in obedience to Him, till today, what has your Christian life been like? Is your growth, edification, and spiritual maturity in proportion to the time of your being saved, being Born-Again; or have you slipped somewhere and are lagging behind? Is it that, as usually happens, your involvement and fulfilling job, family and worldly responsibilities has obstructed your spiritual life and impeded your spiritual growth? For your needs and requirements, whom do you trust and rely upon - your own efforts and abilities, or the help, advice, and guidance of your family members, friends and other persons, or on God (Matthew 6:33)? The world and everything of the world will remain here on earth and be destroyed (1 John 2:15-17); the only thing that will go with us are the blessings which the Lord God gives. Therefore if you need to correct and improve anything in your Christian life, do it now, while you have the time and opportunity; lest it be too late later on and you end up in the state of eternal loss.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
