मरे हुए कामों से मन फिराना – 4
पिछले लेख में हमने मत्ती 15:3-9 से एक प्रकार के “मरे हुए कामों” के बारे में विचार करना आरम्भ किया था, जिन के अन्तर्गत लोगों से मनुष्यों के बनाए हुए नियमों और आज्ञाओं को परमेश्वर के नियम और आज्ञाएँ मान कर उन्हें स्वीकार और पालन करवाया जाता है। हमने देखा था कि शैतान ने यह युक्ति इतनी चतुराई से कार्यान्वित की है, कि वे अगुवे भी जो इस शैतानी युक्ति का प्रचार करने वाले, सिखाने वाले, और लागू करने वाले हैं, उन्हें भी यह एहसास नहीं है कि उन्हें गलत राह पर भटका दिया गया है, तथा वे औरों को भी भटका रहे हैं। अगुवे और अनुयायी, दोनों ही इस भ्रम में पड़े हुए हैं कि वे परमेश्वर की सेवा कर रहे हैं, जबकि वास्तविकता में वे परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के विपरीत जा रहे हैं। इस शैतानी युक्ति का आधार है कि उसने उन लोगों से प्रभु परमेश्वर यहोवा, जिसकी उपासना यहूदी करते आ रहे थे, उससे हटकर किसी अन्य की उपासना नहीं करवाई; न ही शैतान ने परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए पवित्र शास्त्र को छोड़ किसी अन्य धार्मिक ग्रन्थ को स्वीकार करवाया, और न ही शैतान ने उनसे परमेश्वर या उसके वचन के विरुद्ध कुछ भी कहलवाया अथवा किसी भी प्रकार से उनकी कैसी भी निन्दा करवाई। शैतान ने जो किया वह था कि धार्मिक अगुवों के द्वारा पवित्र शास्त्र की ऐसी व्याख्या करवाई जो परमेश्वर द्वारा पवित्र शास्त्र में कही गई बातों से असंगत थी; और फिर उनकी इस गलत व्याख्या को जन-साधारण के मध्य परमेश्वर के वचन के रूप में प्रचार करवाया तथा सिखाया। क्योंकि उस समय के आम लोग न तो सामान्यतः पढ़े-लिखे होते थे, और न ही उनके पास पवित्र शास्त्र की प्रतिलिपियाँ सहजता से उपलब्ध होती थीं, इसलिए उन्हें जो भी परमेश्वर के नाम में बताया और सिखाया जाता था, वे उसे वैसे ही स्वीकार कर लेते थे, मान लेते थे, और इसलिए उन्हें मनुष्यों के वचन को परमेश्वर का वचन कह कर गलत मार्ग पर भटका देना बहुत सरल था।
ठीक यही समस्या आज भी विद्यमान है, और लगभग इसी स्वरूप में है – धार्मिक अगुवे बने हुए मनुष्यों ने परमेश्वर के वचन को बिगाड़ रखा है, तथा और भी भ्रष्ट करते चले जा रहे हैं, अपनी ही व्याख्याओं, मनुष्यों द्वारा बनाई गई आज्ञाओं, और सिद्धान्तों के द्वारा; और फिर वे इसी भ्रष्ट किये हुए वचन को परमेश्वर के सिद्धान्त बताकर सिखाते हैं। किन्तु आज के मसीही, प्रभु यीशु की पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के समय के लोगों से कहीं अधिक दोषी और दण्ड के योग्य हैं। उस समय के लोग, शिक्षा और वचन की उपलब्धता के अभाव में, कम से कम वचन की अज्ञानता होने की दुहाई तो दे सकते थे। लेकिन आज के मसीही अज्ञानता को बहाना नहीं बना सकते हैं – लगभग सभी इतने तो पढ़े-लिखे होते हैं कि वचन पढ़ सकें, कुछ लिख सकें; और परमेश्वर का वचन किसी न किसी स्वरूप में सभी को सहजता से उपलब्ध भी रहता है, और बहुधा उनकी अपनी क्षेत्रीय भाषा में, अन्यथा जिस भाषा की उन्होंने शिक्षा पाई है, उसमें। इसके अतिरिक्त, पुराने नियम के समय के लोगों की स्थिति से भिन्न बात यह है कि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी में निवास करता है कि उसकी सहायता करे और उसे वचन सिखाए। इसलिए, अब उनके पास परमेश्वर के वचन को न पढ़ने और नहीं सीखने का, सत्य को न जानने का, और फिर सत्य को अपने जीवन में लागू न करने का कौन सा वास्तविक कारण है?
आज भी धार्मिक अगुवे मात्र औपचारिकता निभाने के लिए, परंपरा के अनुसार धार्मिक रीतियों का निर्वाह करके परमेश्वर की उपासना करते हैं, तथा औरों से भी, कलीसिया के लोगों से भी, यही करवाते हैं। ये धार्मिक अगुवे और प्राचीन परमेश्वर के वचन और आज्ञाओं के ऊपर अपनी ही शिक्षाओं और आज्ञाओं को रखते हैं, और अपनी डिनॉमिनेशन या मत की शिक्षाओं को परमेश्वर का वचन बताकर सिखाते हैं। मसीहियत में विद्यमान अनेकों डिनॉमिनेशनों और मतों का होना, और प्रत्येक के अपने ही भिन्न शिक्षाओं, नियमों, और रीतियों का होना जो उनके सदस्यों पर थोपी जाती हैं, चाहे उसके लिए बाइबल की बातों और शिक्षाओं को एक ओर ही क्यों न करना पड़े, इस बात का प्रमाण है कि ये सभी मनुष्यों के बनाए हुए हैं, न कि परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए। अन्यथा विभिन्न डिनॉमिनेशनों और मतों की शिक्षाओं, नियमों और रीतियों में भिन्नता क्यों होती, और वह भी बाइबल में दी गई बातों से भिन्न?
क्योंकि आज जो कलीसियाओं में किया जा रहा है, वह जो मत्ती 15:3-9 में उस समय के धर्म के अगुवों के व्यवहार के बारे में जो लिखा है उससे भिन्न नहीं है, इसलिए आज की इन बातों का आंकलन और न्याय तब की उन बातों के लिए प्रभु द्वारा किए गए आंकलन और न्याय से भिन्न नहीं होगा। बाइबल से बाहर की बातों का पालन करने की मत और डिनॉमिनेशनों की बातों के निर्वाह की सख्ती, उसी कपटी होने तथा व्यर्थ उपासना करने समान है, जिसका करने वालों को कोई लाभ नहीं मिलेगा; वे चाहे यह सब कितनी भी भक्ति और श्रद्धा तथा मन से करें, वरन इस से उन्हें अनन्तकाल की हानि ही होगी। जैसा हमने एक पहले के लेख में देखा है, जो भी परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया नहीं है, उसका किया जाना कभी भी परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न नहीं करेगा, और कभी उसके लिए परमेश्वर से कोई प्रशंसा, आशीष, या प्रतिफल नहीं मिलेगा। वरन, जैसा कि प्रभु ने इन कपटियों की नियति के विषय सचेत किया है, वह सभी जो परमेश्वर से नहीं है, उखाड़ा जाएगा, अर्थात मिटा दिया जाएगा और हानि उठाएगा।
तो फिर समाधान क्या है? डिनॉमिनेशनों, मतों, और परमेश्वर के वचन के भ्रष्ट किए जाने की इन शैतानी युक्तियों के चंगुल में फँसने से बचने, या उन से बाहर निकलने का उपाय क्या है? उत्तर सहज और सीधा सा है – मनुष्यों द्वारा बनाई गई सभी बातों की पहचान करके उनका तिरस्कार किया जाए, और परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए मौलिक स्वरूप को स्थापित किया जाए, उसी का पालन किया जाए। यह करने के लिए, सबसे पहले तो यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए के आप ने वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाया है कि नहीं, अर्थात, क्या आप वास्तव में विश्वास मैं हैं भी कि नहीं (2 कुरिन्थियों 13:5); क्योंकि वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाए हुए परमेश्वर की सन्तानों को पवित्र आत्मा का मार्गदर्शन और सहायता उपलब्ध होती है, क्योंकि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, सच में नया-जन्म पाए हुए प्रत्येक मसीही में उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही विद्यमान रहता है (इफिसियों 1:13-14), और उन्हें, जो उससे सीखना चाहते हैं, वचन को सिखाता है, क्योंकि वह मसीही विश्वासियों को मसीही जीवन जीने में सहायता करने और उन्हें वचन सिखाने के लिए ही दिया गया है (यूहन्ना 14:16, 26)। फिर, वास्तव में परमेश्वर के नया जन्म पाए हुए बच्चों के समान, नियमित रीति से परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ने, उसका अध्ययन करने, और उसे अपने जीवन में लागू करने में समय लगाएँ (1 पतरस 2:1-2)। परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन का सरल तरीका अपनाने के लिए किसी कॉमेंटरी अथवा वैसी ही किसी बाइबल की सहायक पुस्तक से अध्ययन करने के प्रलोभन में न पड़ें। वह बाद के लिए है, जब आप एक बार वचन में स्थिर और दृढ़ बन जाएँ, और सही अथवा गलत की पहचान करना सीख जाएँ। परमेश्वर का वचन, सीधे परमेश्वर से ही सीखें, उसके लिए प्रार्थना पूर्वक और दृढ़ होकर प्रयास में लगे रहना होगा।
चाहे प्रचार करने और सिखाने वाला कोई भी हो, हमेशा जाँच कर देखें कि जो वह कह रहा है, वह सही है भी कि नहीं (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29)। हमेशा प्रेरितों 17:11 तथा 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21 के निर्देश का पालन करें, पहले पवित्र शास्त्र से जाँच परख लें कि जो सिखाया जा रहा है वह सही है कि नहीं, और फिर जो बाइबल के अनुसार सही है, केवल उसे ही थामे रहें, और जो सही नहीं है उसका तिरस्कार कर दें। कभी भी प्रचारक अथवा शिक्षक या अन्य लोगों से उनकी बातों, विशेषकर वे बातें जो विलक्षण या बाइबल से संगत प्रतीत नहीं होती हैं, के बारे में प्रश्न पूछने और स्पष्टीकरण मांगने से न घबराएँ या हिचकिचाएं। एक बार जब प्रचारक और शिक्षकों को यह एहसास हो जाएगा कि उन्हें बाइबल से बाहर की उनकी बातों और शिक्षाओं के लिए जवाब देना पड़ेगा, तो फिर वे जो भी कहते और सिखाते हैं, उसके लिए सचेत रहेंगे, ठीक से तैयारी कर के ही बोलेंगे, और अपनी धारणाएँ तथा कल्पनाएँ बताने की बजाए, बाइबल के सत्य ही बोलेंगे। आप की अपने प्रति यह ज़िम्मेदारी भी है कि सभी झूठी शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धान्तों से मन फिरा कर उन से अलग हो जाएँ, उन सभी बाइबल से बाहर की बातों से जिन्हें मसीहियत के भेष में सिखाया गया है और जिनका आप पालन करते चले आए हैं, जिन्हें डिनॉमिनेशन या मत की अनिवार्य बातें और शिक्षाएँ कहकर प्रस्तुत किया और पालन करवाया जाता है – उन से आप की हानि ही होगी, लाभ कोई नहीं होगा, इसलिए उन से बाहर आ जाएँ, उन्हें अपने से दूर कर दें।
अगले लेख में हम एक अन्य प्रकार के “मरे हुए कामों” को देखेंगे, जिनके लिए मसीहियों को मन फिराने की आवश्यकता है।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Repentance From Dead Works - 4
In the previous article we had begun considering a kind of “dead works” from Matthew 15:3-9, where people are led to accept and follow man’s commandments, as commandments of God. We had seen that Satan had implemented this strategy so very cleverly, that even those who were the leaders of preaching, teaching, and applying this satanic ploy did not realise that they had been misled, and were misleading others as well. The leaders, as well as the followers, both were under the impression that they were serving God, whereas actually they were all going contrary to God and His Word. The mainstay of this satanic ploy was that he had not led them to worship anyone other than the one the Jews had always been worshipping, i.e., the Lord God Jehovah; neither did Satan have them accept any Scripture other than the God given Scripture to them, nor did Satan make them blaspheme or speak against God or against His Word, the Scriptures given to them. What Satan did was to get the religious leaders to interpret the Scriptures in a manner that was not consistent with what God has said in the Scriptures; and then preach and teach their misinterpretations as God’s Word to the common people. Since the common people of those times were not much educated, and neither did they have the Scriptures so readily available to them to read and study, therefore they accepted and believed whatever was preached and taught to them in the name of God as God’s truth, and were easily misled away from following God’s Word, into following man’s word presented as God’s Word to them.
The same problem exists even today, and in much the same form – men in positions of religious authority already have, and still are further corrupting God’s Word through their own misinterpretations, man-made commandments, and doctrines; and then are teaching those contrived commandments as doctrines of God. But the Christians of these times are far more guilty and worthy of punishment than were the common folks of the times of the Lord Jesus’s earthly ministry. Those people could honestly plead ignorance because of a general lack of education and availability of personal copies God’s Word. But the Christians of the present times cannot plead this excuse – practically all are educated enough to be able to do sufficient reading and writing; and God’s Word is readily available in some form or the other, and quite often in their own regional language, or a language of their education. Moreover, unlike the people of Old Testament times, God the Holy Spirit resides in every Christian Believer to help and teach him God’s Word. So, now what genuine excuse do they have of not studying and learning God’s Word, and knowing the truth to apply not the commandments of men, but the truth in their lives?
Even today, the religious leaders preach, teach and indulge in perfunctory, ritualistic fulfilment of traditions as if that was the true worship of God; and they lead others i.e., the congregation to do the same. These religious leaders and elders override God’s Word in their teachings and commandments, since instead of teaching God’s Word to the congregation, they preach and teach denominational teachings as God’s Word. The presence of numerous sects and denominations in Christianity, each having its own set of teachings, rules, and rituals, that are imposed upon their members, by even going over and above what is written in the Bible, is proof that they are all man-made, and not God decreed. Else why would the various denominational rules, regulations, and rituals be different from the others, and, more importantly, be different from what is given in the Bible?
Since, what is being done today in the Churches is no different from what is mentioned in Matthew 15:3-9 about the then religious leaders, therefore, the assessment too will not be any different than the assessment and judgment of the Lord given in the passage. As shown by the Lord in this passage, the adherence to or imposition of unBiblical denominational practices constitutes hypocrisy, and vain worship, which will not in the least benefit those indulging in it; no matter how sincerely and piously they may be doing it, but will only lead to eternal harm. As we saw in a previous article, that which has not been given by God, it’s observance will never please God, and will never bring any appreciation, blessings, or rewards from Him. Rather, as the Lord cautioned about the fate of these hypocrites, everything that God has not given, will be uprooted, i.e., eliminated and come to harm.
What is the remedy? How to avoid falling prey to, or get out of, these satanic ploys of denominationalism and perversions of God’s Word? The answer is simple and straightforward – identify and reject all man-made modifications, re-establish and revert back to the original God given form. To do this, firstly ensure that you are indeed Born-Again, truly are in the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5); since the truly Born-Again children of God will have the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit with them. Then, as truly Born-Again children of God, regularly spend time reading, studying, and applying God’s Word in your life (1 Peter 2:1-2), through the help and guidance of the Holy Spirt, who is present in every truly Born—Again Christian Believer since the moment of his salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14), and who has been given to the Christian Believers to help them live their Christian lives and to teach them God’s Word (John 14:16, 26). Do not fall for the temptation of taking the easy way out by studying the Bible through some commentaries and other such Bible helps. These Bible helps are best used later on, once you are well established in God’s Word and have developed the discernment between correct and incorrect. Instead, study God’s Word directly from God, study it prayerfully and through perseverance, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
No matter who may be preaching or teaching it, always examine to see if all that has been taught is true (1 Corinthians 14:29). Always follow the instructions of Acts 17:11 and 1 Thessalonians 5:21 of first examining from the Scriptures whatever is being taught, then holding on to only that which is Biblically true, and reject that which is not. Never be afraid to ask questions and seek clarifications from the preacher or teacher, and from other people, especially for the things that seem radical, or the things that do not seem consistent with God’s Word. Once the preachers and teachers realize that they will be asked to explain their non-Biblical assertions and wrong teachings, they will become more careful in preparing and presenting Biblical truth instead of their false notions and conjectures. On your part, make it a point to repent and turn away from all false teachings and wrong doctrines, all unBiblical things that you have been following, taught to you in the garb of Christianity, taught as essential denominational teachings and Christian traditions and have been made to follow – they will only bring you to harm, never do you any good; so get out of them, put them all away from you.
In the next article we will consider another category of “dead works” that Christian Believers need to repent from.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
