मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 4 - प्रार्थना (3)
पिछले लेख में हमने प्रेरितों 2:42 में दिए गए व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन के चौथे स्तम्भ, प्रार्थना करने के बारे में देखा था कि परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की यह शिक्षा है परमेश्वर के लोग उसके साथ निरन्तर प्रार्थना में, अर्थात उसके साथ वार्तालाप में बने रहें। यह निरन्तर प्रार्थना करते रहना, मन का भाव है, न कि किसी विशेष शारीरिक स्थिति में बने रहना। हमने नहेम्याह के जीवन से यह भी देखा था कि और प्रार्थना सार्वजनिक स्थान में, अप्रत्याशित और अनायास परिस्थितियों में, केवल मन में भी की जा सकती है, और फिर भी बहुत प्रभावी होती है। आज हम यह देखेंगे कि परमेश्वर क्यों चाहता है कि उसके लोग, अपनी हर बात, हर इच्छा, हर आवश्यकता, हर भावना, आदि के लिए उसके साथ निरन्तर प्रार्थना या वार्तालाप में बने रहें।
इस बात को समझने के लिए हम अदन की वाटिका में चलते हैं, परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता के उस पहले पाप के घटित होने के समय के घटनाक्रम पर विचार करते हैं। उस पहले पाप के घटित होने का विवरण हमें उत्पत्ति 3:1-6 में मिलता है। संक्षेप में, शैतान ने हव्वा के मन में यह बात डाली कि परमेश्वर ने उस से और आदम से कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण रोक के रखा है। और उससे कहा कि यदि वह उसकी बात मानकर उस वर्जित फल को खा लेगी, तो जो परमेश्वर ने उसे नहीं दिया वह उसे मिल जाएगा, तथा वह परमेश्वर के तुल्य हो जाएगी। हव्वा ने शैतान की सुनी, फिर अपने मन की सुनी, और शैतान तथा अपने मन की बात के अनुसार, वर्जित फल को खा लिया - परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता कर दी, और पाप को सृष्टि में प्रवेश मिल गया। यह एक बहुत ही सामान्य समझ की बात है कि जो शैतान ने करने के लिए कहा था वह कोई आपात-स्थिति नहीं थी, और न ही कोई तुरन्त किए जाने वाला कार्य था। यदि उसे कुछ समय के बाद भी किया जा सकता था। हव्वा आदम से इसके बारे में चर्चा कर सकती थी, और वे सोच-विचार करके, उसे करने अथवा न करने का निर्णय ले सकते थे। साथ ही वे यह भी जानते थे कि परमेश्वर उनसे मिलने के लिए आया करता था, उनसे बातचीत किया करता था। वे उसके आने तक प्रतीक्षा कर सकते थे; उसके साथ इस बारे में वार्तालाप करके, बात को समझ कर तब कार्यवाही करने या न करने का निर्णय ले सकते थे। परन्तु उन्होंने ऐसा नहीं किया। न परस्पर वार्तालाप करने को, और न ही परमेश्वर के साथ वार्तालाप करने को महत्व दिया; और पाप कर बैठे। वह परिस्थिति और अपरिवर्तनीय हानि, जो परस्पर तथा परमेश्वर के साथ वार्तालाप करने के द्वारा रोकी जा सकती थी, वार्तालाप न करने के कारण घटित हो गई।
यही बात आज हमारे लिए भी उतनी ही सत्य, उतनी ही लागू है। हमारे आज के एक सामान्य उदाहरण के द्वारा इसे समझिए। आज हम में से लगभग सभी लोग संपर्क और संवाद के लिए फोन का उपयोग करते हैं। यदि हम किसी से फोन के द्वारा बात करना चाहें, और वह व्यक्ति पहले से ही किसी अन्य के साथ अपने फोन के द्वारा बात कर रहा हो, तो हम उससे बात नहीं करने पाते हैं; हमें फोन के व्यस्त होने का संकेत मिलता रहता है। यह स्थिति तब तक रहती है जब तक कि उस व्यक्ति की बात समाप्त नहीं हो जाती है, और या तो वह, अन्यथा हम परस्पर फोन के द्वारा सम्बन्धित नहीं हो जाते हैं। अब, इसी बात को हमारे इस वर्तमान विषय पर लागू कीजिए। यदि हम निरन्तर, हर बात के लिए, परमेश्वर के साथ सम्पर्क और संवाद में बने रहेंगे, तो शैतान को हमारे व्यस्त होने का ही संकेत मिलता रहेगा, और तब उसे हमारे साथ कोई संवाद करने, हमें कोई सुझाव देने, हमारे मन में कोई गलत या अनुचित विचार डालने का अवसर क्योंकर मिल सकेगा? साथ ही एक अन्य सम्बन्धित बात भी है, वह, जिसे आदम और हव्वा ने नहीं किया था। यदि शैतान यह समझ जाए कि यह व्यक्ति परमेश्वर से पूछे और मार्गदर्शन लिए बिना उसके द्वारा कही गई किसी बात पर, उसके द्वारा दिए गए किसी सुझाव पर कार्य नहीं करेगा। और शैतान यह भी समझ ले कि यह व्यक्ति जो भी करेगा, वह परमेश्वर से पूछ कर, उसकी अनुमति और इच्छा के अनुसार ही करेगा, तो फिर वह हमारे जीवनों में क्या और कितना करने पाएगा? तब क्या वह हमें किसी पाप में, बुराई में, परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता में फँसाने पाएगा?
इसीलिए परमेश्वर चाहता है कि हम प्रार्थना करने में, अर्थात हर बात के बारे में उससे वार्तालाप करते रहने में उन आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासियों के समान लौलीन रहें - निरन्तर प्रार्थना में लगे रहें। प्रार्थना करना हमारे लिए पूरी की जाने वाली एक औपचारिकता नहीं हो, वरन हमारे व्यवहार, हमारे जीवन, हमारी सोच और मनसा का एक अभिन्न अँग हो। जिससे शैतान का कोई भी दाँव हम पर न चले, और हम परमेश्वर के साथ सुरक्षित और आशीषित बने रहें। अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे कि जब परमेश्वर हमारे बारे में, और हमारी हर आवश्यकता के बारे में जानता है, तो फिर हमें उन बातों को उसके सामने लाने, उनके लिए उससे प्रार्थना करने की क्या आवश्यकता है?
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Things Related to Christian Living – 61
The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 4 - Prayer (3)
In the last article we have seen about the fourth pillar of practical Christian living, given in Acts 2:42, i.e., prayer. We saw that it is the teaching of God’s Word the Bible that God’s people remain continually in an attitude of praying to Him, i.e., always be conversing with Him. This attitude of continually being in prayer is an attitude of the mind or the heart, and not a particular physical posture. We also saw from the life of Nehemiah that even in public places, in sudden and unexpected circumstances, prayer can quietly be said within the heart, and yet be very effective. Today we will see why it is that God wants that His people should always, for all things for all their desires, their needs, their feelings, etc., should always be in prayer or conversation with Him.
To understand this, let us go to the Garden of Eden, and ponder over the happenings at the time of the first sin, i.e., of disobedience there. We have this incidence given in Genesis 3:1-6. Very briefly, Satan planted the idea in Eve’s mind that God had held back something very important from them; and told her that if she does what he says and eats the forbidden fruit, not only will she get what God has held back, but will also become like God. Eve heard what Satan was saying, heard what her heart and mind were saying, then accepted Satan’s suggestion and her desire, disobeyed God, and ate the forbidden fruit - opened the way for sin to enter into creation. It is a matter of very simple common-sense, that what Satan had asked her to do, was not in an emergency situation, was not something that had to be done immediately or in a hurry. It could just as well have been done after sometime. Eve could have discussed it with Adam, and they could have thought over it, and decided whether or not to do it. Moreover, they knew that God used to come meet them, converse with them. So, they could have also waited for Him to come, and then talk things over with Him, understand about it, and then decide what to do. But they did not do this. They did not give any importance to talking about or discussing the matter, neither amongst themselves, nor with God; and ended up committing sin. This irreversible situation and harm that could have been avoided by simply talking and discussing things amongst themselves and with God, got done because of not conversing about it.
The same thing is equally true and applicable for us today. Understand this through an example of something very common for us. Today nearly all of us use a phone to contact and converse with others. If we want to talk to someone through the phone, and that person is already on another conversation with his phone, then we are unable to connect to his phone and talk with him; we keep getting a busy signal. This situation remains till he or we connect with each other through our phones. Now, apply this very situation to our present topic. If we are continually in touch and in conversation with God about everything, then Satan will always keep getting a busy signal, and will never have the opportunity to converse with us, to plant any suggestions, and place any wrong or inappropriate thoughts in our minds. There is another related thing as well, something that Adam and Eve did not do. If Satan realizes that the person will never do anything without first asking God about it, asking for its permission, and getting guidance from Him, and then do everything only according to God’s will, then what and how much harm can Satan do in our lives? In such a scenario, can he ever deceive us into disobeying God and committing sin?
This is why God wants that we too, like those initial Christian Believers, should always steadfastly be conversing with Him - be in an attitude or prayer with Him. Praying should not be an obligation, a formality for us to fulfill; rather, it should be an integral, inseparable part of our life and behavior, our thinking, our desires. Thereby we will remain safe and secure with God and be blessed always. In the next article we will see that when God knows everything about us, and about our needs, then why is it that we need to bring those things before Him and pray about them to Him?
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
