परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करना – 2
प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को न केवल परमेश्वर के सम्पूर्ण वचन को पढ़ने और जानने की आवश्यकता है, बल्कि वचन का अध्ययन करने, उसे सीखने, और उसका पालन करने में भी बढ़ते रहने की आवश्यकता है; तब ही वह अपने आत्मिक जीवन एवं परिपक्वता में बढ़ने पाएगा, और परमेश्वर से आशीषित रहेगा। इस बात के लिए हम कुछ ऐसी मौलिक शिक्षाओं के बारे में सीख रहे हैं, जो परमेश्वर के वचन और मसीही जीवन में दृढ़ता तथा स्थिरता से स्थापित होकर बने रहने के लिए नींव का काम करती हैं। वर्तमान में हम इब्रानियों 6:1-2 से, जहाँ छः आरम्भिक बातें जो विश्वासियों को सीखनी चाहिए दी गई हैं, दूसरी आरम्भिक बात – “परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करने” के बारे में सीख रहे हैं। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि यद्यपि इब्रानियों को लिखी गई पत्री के पाठक वे लोग थे जो यहूदियों में से आए थे और प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास करते थे, अर्थात, वे एक ही ईश्वर को मानने वाले और प्रभु परमेश्वर यहोवा में विश्वास रखने वाले लोग थे; लेकिन फिर भी, किसी कारणवश, पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, इब्रानियों की पत्री के लेखक ने यह आवश्यक समझा कि इन विश्वासियों को यह स्मरण करवाए कि वे “परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करने” में दृढ़ और स्थापित होना सीखें। यह इसलिए था क्योंकि उनके चारों ओर व्याप्त अन्यजाति मूर्तिपूजा की संस्कृति ने किसी तरह से परमेश्वर पर उनके विश्वास को प्रतिकूल रीति से प्रभावित किया था, जिससे वे अपने विश्वास में, परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखने में, परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने में कमजोर पड़ गए थे। इसलिए यह अनिवार्य हो गया था कि इन विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर के प्रति उनके विश्वास में दृढ़, और परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने में स्थापित करें।
मसीही विश्वास में परमेश्वर पर विश्वास रखना बहुत आवश्यक है, जैसा कि इब्रानियों 11:6 में लिखा है, “और विश्वास बिना उसे प्रसन्न करना अनहोना है, क्योंकि परमेश्वर के पास आने वाले को विश्वास करना चाहिए, कि वह है; और अपने खोजने वालों को प्रतिफल देता है।” इस का अर्थ यह नहीं है कि किसी भी ईश्वर में विश्वास रखा जाए, न ही मात्र औपचारिकता की पूर्ति के लिए यह कह देना भर है कि व्यक्ति प्रभु यीशु और प्रभु परमेश्वर यहोवा में विश्वास करते हैं। बल्कि इसका अर्थ है कि प्रभु यीशु और प्रभु परमेश्वर यहोवा के गुणों में पूरे मन से सम्पूर्ण विश्वास करना और भरोसा रखना, और परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में वर्णन किए गए परमेश्वर के चरित्र पर पूरा भरोसा रखना। बाइबल परमेश्वर के कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण गुणों और उसके चरित्र के बारे में बताती है, और शैतान हमेशा ही उन गुणों और चरित्र की बातों के विरुद्ध बातें फैलाने के प्रयास में लगा रहता है। शैतान ऐसा इसलिए करता है ताकि परमेश्वर और उसके उद्देश्यों को बदनाम करे, उनके बारे में, लोगों के प्रति, विशेषकर उसके अपने लोगों के प्रति परमेश्वर के व्यवहार के बारे में सन्देह उत्पन्न करे। हम इसे अदन की वाटिका में होते हुए देखते हैं, जहाँ शैतान हव्वा के पास साँप के रूप में आया और परमेश्वर ने जो उन से कहा था उसके बारे में उस से प्रश्न किए, और फिर परमेश्वर के भले और सच्चे-खरे होने के बारे में उसके मन में सन्देह उत्पन्न किए (उत्पत्ति 3:1-5)। जब हव्वा ने शैतान की बात को मान लिया, जब उस में परमेश्वर के प्रति सन्देह आ गया, तब उसने अपने दिमाग, योग्यताओं, और विचार करने की क्षमता का उपयोग किया, और परमेश्वर के कहे की बजाए अपने ही निष्कर्षों को मान लेने की शैतानी युक्ति में गिर गई। यह करने से न केवल वह स्वयं पाप में गिरी, बल्कि आदम से भी पाप करवा दिया (उत्पत्ति 3:6-7)।
यदि उसने परमेश्वर और उसके द्वारा उनसे कही गई बात के प्रति एक दृढ़, स्थिर निर्णय बनाए रखा होता, तो शैतान चाहे जो भी कहता या तात्पर्य देता, लेकिन कभी भी हव्वा को बहकाने, भरमाने, और गिराने नहीं पाता। दूसरे शब्दों में शैतान उसे अपने दिमाग, योग्यताओं, और विचार करने की क्षमता का उपयोग कर के किसी गलत निष्कर्ष पर पहुँचने, और फिर अपने निष्कर्ष को परमेश्वर के कहे से अधिक मान्य समझकर परमेश्वर के कहे के विरुद्ध जाने के लिए उकसाने नहीं पाता। और इस बात को ध्यान में बनाए रखिए कि शैतान यह सब तब कर सका जब सँसार में और आदम या हव्वा में कोई पाप नहीं था; आदम और हव्वा सिद्ध, निष्पाप, परमेश्वर के साथ नियमित और खुली संगति रखते थे। लेकिन फिर भी अपने शब्दों और सुझाव देने के उपयोग के द्वारा शैतान ने न केवल हव्वा से परमेश्वर पर सन्देह करवाया, उस से पाप करवाया, वरन उस से आदम को भी पाप में गिरवा दिया। इसकी तुलना में, आज, जब सारे सँसार में पाप व्यापक रीति से छाया हुआ है, शैतानी लोग और युक्तियाँ हमारे चारों ओर भरे पड़े हैं, सारे सँसार में झूठी शिक्षाएँ और गलत सिद्धान्तों की भरमार है, और वास्तविक नया-जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासी भी जाने-अनजाने त्रुटिपूर्ण शिक्षाओं को सिखाने लगे हैं, तो हम मसीही विश्वासी आज बहकाए और भरमाए जाने, पाप में गिराए जाने की सम्भावना कहीं अधिक बढ़ गई है। इस से बचने का एक ही मार्ग है कि परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखें और परमेश्वर पर विश्वास में स्थिर दृढ़ बने रहें, नहीं तो शैतान की युक्तियों और झूठी शिक्षाओं की सच्चाई को पहचान नहीं पाएंगे।
यह इस दूसरी आरम्भिक बात – “परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करना” के बारे में, जिस पर हम विचार कर रहे हैं, के प्रति हमारे सामने एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण और मौलिक बात को लाता है। यदि परमेश्वर के प्रति हमारा विश्वास दृढ़ और स्थिर नहीं है, तो शैतान हमें परमेश्वर पर, उसके गुणों पर, और हमारे प्रति उसके उद्देश्यों पर सन्देह में डाल देगा। एक बार जब हम परमेश्वर और उसके वचन पर सन्देह करने लगेंगे, तो न केवल हम गलतियों और पाप में गिरेंगे, बल्कि अपने साथ औरों को भी गलतियों और पाप में गिरा देंगे। यह हम विश्वासियों के सामने एक बहुत गंभीर और महत्वपूर्ण ज़िम्मेदारी को भी लाता है, कि किसी के भी द्वारा अपने दिमाग, योग्यताओं, और विचार करने की क्षमता के उपयोग के द्वारा कही गई किसी भी बात या शिक्षा पर तुरन्त विश्वास न कर लें, परन्तु हमेशा पहले परमेश्वर के वचन से बात को जाँच-परख लें, और उसके बाद ही जो बाइबल के अनुसार सही है (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21), केवल उसी पर विश्वास करें; अन्यथा न केवल हम गलतियों और पाप में गिरेंगे, बल्कि औरों को भी गलतियों और पापों में ले जाएँगे।
परमेश्वर पर हमारा विश्वास तब ही स्थिर और दृढ़ होगा यदि हमारे अन्दर परमेश्वर का वचन बना रहेगा और यदि हम परमेश्वर के वचन से उसके गुणों के बारे में जानेंगे और उसके चरित्र पर विश्वास करेंगे, भरोसा रखेंगे। अगले लेख में हम इस अध्ययन को यहाँ से आगे बढ़ाएंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Elementary Principles – 15
Faith Towards God - 2
Every Christian Believer not only needs to read and know all of God’s Word, but also keep growing in studying, learning, and obeying it; only then will he grow in his spiritual life as well as maturity, and remain blessed by God. To this end we are studying about some fundamental teachings that serve as the foundation to stay firmly established and grow in God’s Word and Christian life. Presently, from Hebrews 6:1-2, where six elementary principles that the Believers need to learn are given, we are considering the second elementary principle – “Faith Towards God.” In the previous article we had seen that though the recipients of the letter to the Hebrews were Jewish converts and Believers in the Lord Jesus, i.e., they were mono-theistic people who believed in the Lord God Jehovah, in Christ Jesus; yet for some reason, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the author of the letter to Hebrews found it necessary to remind these Believers to learn and be established in “Faith Towards God”. This was since, quite likely the gentile idolatrous culture around them had in some way adversely affected their faith in God, and thereby they had become weak in their faith, in trusting God, and learning God’s Word. Therefore, it was necessary to have these Believers get back into being strong in their faith towards God, and learning God’s Word.
Having faith in God is crucial in the Christian faith; it is written in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” This is not just about believing that there is a god, nor merely perfunctorily saying that one believes in the Lord Jesus and the Lord God Jehovah. Rather, it means whole heartedly believing in and trusting the attributes of the Lord Jesus and the Lord God Jehovah, and fully trusting His character as all these are described and taught in God’s Word the Bible. The Bible teaches some very important attributes and characteristics of God, and Satan keeps attempting to contradict those attributes and characteristics. Satan does this to malign God and create doubts about God and His intentions, about His dealing with people, particularly His own people. We see this happening from the Garden of Eden, where Satan came to Eve in the form a serpent and questioned her about what God had said, and then created doubts in her heart about God being good and truthful with them (Genesis 3:1-5). It was after Eve accepted what Satan was saying, doubted God, that she started to use her mind, abilities, and reasoning, and fell for the satanic ploy of trusting her conclusions rather than trusting what God had said; this not only led to her into falling in sin but also leading Adam into committing sin as well (Genesis 3:6-7).
Had she taken a firm, unshakeable stand towards God and the Word He had spoken to them, against whatever Satan had spoken or implied, Satan would not have been able to beguile her. In other words, Satan would not have been able to induce her into using her mind, abilities, and reasoning, then drawing her own erroneous conclusions, and going against what God had said to them, by placing her own conclusions over and above what God had said. And, do keep in mind, Satan could do this at a time when there was no sin – neither in in the world, nor in Adam and Eve; they were perfect, sinless, having a regular and open fellowship with God. Yet merely with his words and power of suggestions Satan not only got Eve to doubt God and commit sin, but to also bring Adam into committing sin. In contrast, today, with sin rampant in the world, satanic people and ploys being all around us, false teachings, wrong doctrines abounding all over the world, and even the genuine, Born-Again true Christian Believers inadvertently having become teachers of erroneous teachings, we Christian Believers are in a far more vulnerable and precarious position, in constant danger of being beguiled into committing sin. The only way out is to know God’s Word and stand firm in faith towards God, else we will not be able to discern Satan’s ploys and false teachings.
This brings before us a very basic and important point regarding this second elementary principle that we are considering – “Faith Towards God.” If our faith in God is not firm and sure, is not unshakeable, then Satan will be able to induce us into doubting God, His attributes, and His intentions for us. Once we start doubting God and His Word, not only will we fall into errors and sin, but we will also lead others into errors and sin. This also places before the Believers the very serious and important responsibility of not readily going by what man says through his mind, abilities, and reasoning, but to always confirm from God’s Word all that is preached and taught (Acs 17:11; 1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:21), and then only believe that which is Biblically true; else not only will we fall into errors and sin, but will also lead others into similar errors and sin.
Our faith in God will be firm and unshakeable if we have His Word abiding in us, and if we know God’s attributes and characteristics from God’s Word, and firmly believe in and trust the character of God. In this study we will carry on from here in the next article.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
