नया जन्म पाए हुए सभी विश्वासियों को, उद्धार के साथ ही उन्हें परमेश्वर के द्वारा दिये गये सभी प्रावधानों का योग्य भण्डारी होने के लिए, मसीही विश्वासियों को उन प्रावधानों के बारे में सीखना भी चाहिए। क्योंकि, अन्य प्रावधानों के साथ ही, परमेश्वर ने प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी को अपनी कलीसिया का एक अंग भी बनाया है और उसे अपने अन्य सन्तानों की संगति में रखा है, इसलिए हम परमेश्वर के वचन से प्रभु की कलीसिया और उसकी सन्तानों के साथ सहभागिता रखने के बारे में सीख रहे हैं। वर्तमान में हम प्रभु के कथन कि अपनी कलीसिया को वह स्वयं बनाएगा (मत्ती 16:18), न कि कोई मनुष्य अथवा संस्था, को देख रहे हैं। प्रभु द्वारा अपनी कलीसिया बनाने के साथ जुड़ी हुए एक प्रचलित किन्तु गलत धारणा है कि प्रभु ने अपनी कलीसिया पतरस पर बनाई है। पिछले लेखों में हमने प्रभु यीशु द्वारा मत्ती 16:18 में प्रयुक्त शब्दों के, उनके सन्दर्भ में विश्लेषण, और मूल भाषा के अर्थों के प्रयोग द्वारा देखा था कि प्रभु ने कलीसिया को पतरस पर बनाने के लिए नहीं कहा था। फिर हमने देखा था कि पवित्र शास्त्र कहीं पर भी, कभी भी, किसी भी रीति से इस दावे का कोई समर्थन नहीं करता है, कोई संकेत भी नहीं करता है कि कलीसिया पतरस पर बनाई गई है। आज से हम तीसरी बात, “क्या पतरस इस आदर और आधार के योग्य था?” को देखना आरम्भ करेंगे।

प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अपने पहाड़ी उपदेश (मत्ती 5-7 अध्याय) के अंत की ओर आ कर एक दृष्टांत दिया था - दो घर बनाने वालों का (मत्ती 7:24-27)। घर बनाने वाला एक व्यक्ति मूर्ख ठहरा क्योंकि उसने स्थिर और दृढ़ नींव पर घर नहीं बनाया, और वह घर परिस्थितियों का सामना नहीं कर सका, शीघ्र ही गिर गया। दूसरा घर बनाने वाला बुद्धिमान ठहरा, क्योंकि उसने घर की नींव चट्टान (यूनानी “पेत्रा” न कि “पेत्रोस”) पर डाली थी, इसलिए उसका घर स्थिर बना रहा, सभी परिस्थितियों को झेल सका। फिर निष्कर्ष में प्रभु ने कहा है कि वह दृढ़ चट्टान जिस पर स्थिर और अडिग घर या जीवन स्थापित होता है, उसकी शिक्षाएं हैं। जो प्रभु की बातें मानता है, वह चट्टान पर बने घर के समान स्थिर और दृढ़ बना रहेगा; किन्तु जो प्रभु की बातों को सुनता तो है, परंतु उनका पालन नहीं करता है वह उस मूर्ख मनुष्य के समान होगा जिसका घर या जीवन, विपरीत परिस्थितियों को झेल नहीं सकेगा, स्थिर बना नहीं रहेगा। अपनी सेवकाई के आरंभ में ही यह शिक्षा देने के बाद, क्या यह संभव है कि प्रभु अपनी ही दी हुई शिक्षा से पलट कर, अपनी विश्व-व्यापी कलीसिया को किसी अस्थिर, डांवांडोल रहने वाले मनुष्य पर स्थापित करेगा?

आज से हम वचन में दी गई बातों के आधार पर देखेंगे कि क्या पतरस कलीसिया या मण्डली के लिए अत्यावश्यक यह स्थिर, दृढ़, और अडिग आधार हो सकता था? क्या विभिन्न परिस्थितियों और अवसरों पर, वचन में दिया गया पतरस का व्यवहार, इस बात की पुष्टि करता है कि वह डांवांडोल नहीं, वरन प्रभु की शिक्षाओं और निर्देशों पर सदा स्थिर और अडिग रहने वाला व्यक्ति था? इस विश्लेषण के लिए हम प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान से पहले की बातों को नहीं देखेंगे; क्योंकि यह प्रकट है कि प्रभु के मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने, और मृतकों में से जी उठने और शिष्यों को दर्शन देने के बाद, प्रभु के उनसे मिलते रहने और उन्हें सेवकाई के लिए तैयार करने के द्वारा शिष्यों तथा पतरस में बहुत परिवर्तन आया था। किन्तु इस परिवर्तन के बावजूद, क्या पतरस प्रभु में अपने विश्वास और मण्डली में अपने मसीही व्यवहार में ऐसा स्थिर, दृढ़, और स्थापित हो गया था कि उसे कलीसिया का आधार बनाया जा सके?

 साथ ही ध्यान करें, मत्ती 28:18-20 में - जो स्वर्गारोहण से पहले प्रभु यीशु द्वारा अपने शिष्यों को दी गई उनकी सेवकाई के विषय महान आज्ञा है, प्रभु ने शिष्यों से जाकर लोगों को उसका शिष्य बनाने, और जो शिष्य बन जाएं उसकी सिखाई हुई बातों को उन्हें सिखाने का निर्देश दिया है। वहाँ प्रभु ने यह नहीं कहा कि जैसा पतरस बताए या सिखाए, वही करना, वैसा ही सिखाना। एक बार फिर प्रभु ने स्वयं इस बात को दिखा दिया कि उसकी कलीसिया पतरस की बातों पर नहीं, प्रभु की शिक्षाओं पर स्थापित होगी; जैसा हम पिछले लेख में विस्तार से देख चुके हैं।

आने वाले कुछ लेखों में हम बाइबल में लिखी गई पतरस की कुछ दुर्बलताओं को देखेंगे, जो यह प्रकट करती हैं कि क्यों पतरस कभी वह स्थिर आधार नहीं हो सकता था जिसे प्रभु की कलीसिया की नींव होना था।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

    To be worthy stewards of God’s provisions, given to them along with their salvation at the time of their being saved, all the Born-Again the Christian Believers must learn about them. Since, along with the other provisions, God has also made every Born-Again Christan Believer a member of His Church and has placed him in fellowship with other of His children, therefore we are learning from God’s Word about the Church of the Lord and about fellowshipping with His children. Presently, we are considering the Lord Jesus’s statement that He, not any man or organization, will build His Church (Matthew 16:18). One common misconception associated with the Lord’s building of His Church is that He built it on Peter. In the previous articles we have analyzed the words used by the Lord in Matthew 16:18, in their context and through their meanings in the original languages, and seen that in this verse the Lord has not said that He will build His Church on Peter. We then saw that the Scriptures at no point, not in any manner, ever support or indicate that the Church was built on Peter. From today we will look at the third point “Was Peter even worthy of this honor, of being considered to be the foundation for the Church?”

    At the end of His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5-7), the Lord Jesus spoke a parable of two house-builders (Matthew 7:24-27). One house-builder turned out to be foolish because he did not build his house on a firm and unshakeable foundation, and his house could not remain standing in adverse circumstances, fell down quite soon. The other house-builder was called wise because he laid the foundation of his house on a rock (Greek “petra” not “petros”), so his house could withstand all adverse circumstances and stood firm. In conclusion, the Lord said that firm, unshakeable rock, on which a steady and firm life is built are His teachings. Whoever obeys the teachings and Word of the Lord, will remain steadfast like the house built on a rock; but the one who does not obey the Lord will be like the foolish house-builder whose house i.e., life could not withstand the circumstances and collapsed. The Lord had given these teachings at the beginning of His earthly ministry. Is it possible that now towards the end of the ministry, He will go against His own teachings and speak of establishing His world-wide Church on a shaky, vacillating man?

    From today we will begin to see on the basis of God’s Word, could Peter have been the firm and unshakeable foundation that was required to build the Assembly or the Church of the Lord Jesus? Does Peter’s behavior under various circumstances and in various situations show us that he was not a shaky, vacillating person, but someone who was always firm and undeterred in following the teachings and instructions of the Lord? In analyzing this, we will not look at Peter’s life and behavior before the Lord’s resurrection; because it is quite evident that after seeing the resurrected Lord, being with Him for forty days, learning from Him during that time, and being made ready by the Lord for their coming ministry, a lot of changes came in the lives and attitudes of the disciples, including Peter. But despite these changes, did Peter really become the firm unshakeable person in his faith and obedience to the Lord, that he could be considered as the firm and unshakeable foundation upon which the Church could safely be built?

    Also note that in Matthew 28:18-20, in His Great Commission to His disciples about their ministry, given just before His ascension, the Lord has instructed His disciples to go and make other disciples; and to those who become His disciples, give His teachings to them. The Lord did not say here to do and teach as Peter would instruct and tell them to do. Once more the Lord has shown that His Church will not be built on Peter’s teachings but on the teachings of the Lord Jesus, as we have seen in detail in the previous article.

    We will see in the subsequent articles some short-comings recorded in the Bible about Peter, that show he could never provide the firm foundation required for the Lord’s church.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि बाइबल में नूह के समय में आए विश्व-व्यापी जल प्रलय के पर्याप्त प्रमाण बाइबल से बाहर, पौराणिक कथाओं में और ऊँचे पर्वतों की बर्फीली ऊँचाइयों पर समुद्री जीवों, यहाँ तक कि व्हेल और अन्य बड़े समुद्री जीव-जन्तुओं कि जीवाश्मों के होने से मिलते हैं। हमने यह भी देखा था कि किस प्रकार से धरती की सतह के भूभागों के आपस में टकराने द्वारा उन पर्वत श्रृंखलाओं के बनने की धारणा, स्वयं ही इस बात को प्रमाणित करती है कि वे जीवाश्म उस प्रक्रिया का परिणाम नहीं हो सकते हैं। और इससे हमने यह भी समझा था कि किस प्रकार से विज्ञान परमेश्वर और बाइबल के विरुद्ध नहीं है, परन्तु विज्ञान की व्याख्या करने और उसे सिखाने वाले कुछ लोग, जो बाइबल और परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व को नकारना चाहते हैं, वे गलत व्याख्याओं और शिक्षाओं के द्वारा विज्ञान के नाम पर असत्य को फैलाते हैं। अब, क्योंकि इन जीवाश्मों के उन ऊँचाइयों पर पाए जाने का कोई भी स्वीकार्य स्पष्टीकरण नहीं है, इसलिए इन जीवाश्मों के विद्यमान होने प्रमाणों को उजागर नहीं किया जाता है, उन्हें उचित प्रमुखता नहीं दी जाती है। किन्तु इंटरनेट पर “marine fossils, sea-shells, whale fossils on mountains” खोज करने से इसके विषय में बहुत सी जानकारी मिल सकती है। यद्यपि वैज्ञानिक इनके वहाँ होने को समझाने के कई भिन्न स्पष्टीकरण देते हैं, परन्तु वे बातें स्वयं विज्ञान और उन वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा ही खोजी गई वास्तविकता से मेल नहीं खाती हैं।   

जैसा कि हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा है, विज्ञान का यह गुण और कार्य-विधि है कि उस की बातें, धारणाएं, व्याख्याएँ, और निष्कर्ष निरन्तर बदलते रहते हैं; वे न केवल अस्थाई हैं, बल्कि परिवर्तनीय भी हैं, और अपनी ही पिछली बातों के विपरीत भी हो सकते हैं; जिसे पहले ठोस तथ्य माना जाता था, उसे नकार कर उसका तिरस्कार किया जा सकता है, और उससे बिलकुल भिन्न बात लाई जा सकती है। इसलिए परमेश्वर ने अपने लोगों से यह कहा है कि अपने अनन्त जीवनों तथा परमेश्वर के साथ अपने सम्बन्धों के लिये उन्हें केवल उस पर ही भरोसा रखना चाहिये जो स्थिर, अपरिवर्तनीय, अटल, और अनन्त काल के लिए स्थापित है, अर्थात परमेश्वर और उसके वचन पर: “पर मूर्खता के विवादों, और वंशावलियों, और बैर विरोध, और उन झगड़ों से, जो व्यवस्था के विषय में हों बचा रह; क्योंकि वे निष्‍फल और व्यर्थ हैं। किसी पाखंडी को एक दो बार समझा बुझाकर उस से अलग रह। यह जानकर कि ऐसा मनुष्य भटक गया है, और अपने आप को दोषी ठहराकर पाप करता रहता है” (तीतुस 3:9-11)। अपने अनन्त जीवन के लिये उन्हें मनुष्यों से आई हुई संसार की परिवर्तनीय, अस्थिर, असिद्ध ज्ञान की बातों को लेकर अधिक वाद-विवाद करने, या उन परमेश्वर विरोधी सांसारिक बातों को अपने जीवनों में अनावश्यक महत्व अथवा वरीयता देने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, क्योंकि संसार, मनुष्य, और मनुष्य की बातें, उसका ज्ञान तो अन्ततः संसार के अन्त के साथ अन्त हो जाएगा। 

परमेश्वर ने यह चेतावनी भी दी कि संसार के विज्ञान के ज्ञान पीछे भागने वाले और उस पर भरोसा रखने वाले, आत्मिक बातों के लिये अपने विश्वास से भटकाए जा सकते हैं “हे तीमुथियुस इस थाती की रखवाली कर और जिस ज्ञान को ज्ञान कहना ही भूल है, उसके अशुद्ध बकवाद और विरोध की बातों से परे रह। कितने इस ज्ञान का अंगीकार कर के, विश्वास से भटक गए हैं। तुम पर अनुग्रह होता रहे” (1 तीमुथियुस 6:20-21)।  

बाइबल हमें सिखाती है कि उद्धर, अर्थात मनुष्य की सबसे बड़ी समस्या - पाप, का समाधान, मनुष्यों के ज्ञान और समझ से नहीं, बल्कि पापों से पश्चाताप करके, शाश्वत, अटल, सिद्ध परमेश्वर, जो उन से अथाह प्रेम करता है, पर विश्वास करने से है। परमेश्वर ने इस पर जोर देते हुए कि यह समाधान मनुष्य के अपने ज्ञान और सामर्थ्य से नहीं है, यह समाधान प्रभु यीशु मसीह में होकर संसार के सभी लोगों के लिए मुफ्त में उपलब्ध करवा दिया है, जैसा कि पौलुस प्रेरित ने लगभग दो हज़ार वर्ष पहले लिखा था: “और हे भाइयों, जब मैं परमेश्वर का भेद सुनाता हुआ तुम्हारे पास आया, तो वचन या ज्ञान की उत्तमता के साथ नहीं आया। क्योंकि मैं ने यह ठान लिया था, कि तुम्हारे बीच यीशु मसीह, वरन क्रूस पर चढ़ाए हुए मसीह को छोड़ और किसी बात को न जानूं। और मैं निर्बलता और भय के साथ, और बहुत थरथराता हुआ तुम्हारे साथ रहा। और मेरे वचन, और मेरे प्रचार में ज्ञान की लुभाने वाली बातें नहीं; परन्तु आत्मा और सामर्थ का प्रमाण था। इसलिये कि तुम्हारा विश्वास मनुष्यों के ज्ञान पर नहीं, परन्तु परमेश्वर की सामर्थ पर निर्भर हो” (1 कुरिन्थियों 2:1-5)।

निष्कर्ष यह है कि पिछले कुछ समय से हम देखते चले आ रहे हैं कि परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल को बदनाम करने और झूठा प्रमाणित करने के प्रयास तो बहुत किए गए, किन्तु बाइबल को गलत या झूठा कोई नहीं प्रमाणित कर सका। वरन इस प्रयास में, स्वयं के द्वारा बाइबल के पक्ष में खोजे गये प्रमाणों के कारण, कई अविश्वासी प्रभु यीशु मसीह के उत्साही और प्रतिबद्ध अनुयायी एवं विश्वासी बन गये। हमने पिछले तथा आज के लेख से यह भी देखा है कि बाइबल में ही उसके परमेश्वर का सत्यापित किये जा सकने वाला अटल, शाश्वत, और सत्य वचन होने के पर्याप्त प्रमाण विद्यमान हैं; और किस प्रकार से विज्ञान के तथ्यों को परमेश्वर और बाइबल के विरुद्ध गलत् उद्देश्य से उपयोग किया जाता है। आगे भी हम कई और प्रकार के वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों की बाइबल में उपस्थिति, उनके मनुष्यों को ज्ञात होने से भी हजारों वर्ष पहले वहाँ लिखे जाने के संदर्भ में देखेंगे; अगले लेख में हम अपनी इसी श्रृंखला में जीवन के आरम्भ तथा क्रमिक विकासवाद (evolution) के सिद्धान्त से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को देखेंगे।

तो, अभी तक हमने जो देखा है, उसके आधार पर, उस महान, प्रेमी सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर के प्रति आज आपका विचार और निर्णय क्या है? क्या आप स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु, मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लेकर पापी संसार और पापी मनुष्यों पर आने वाले न्याय और भयानक विनाश से बचा लें” के द्वारा अपने पृथ्वी के शेष जीवन तथा अनन्तकाल को सुरक्षित करेंगे? साधारण विश्वास की इस प्रार्थना और समर्पण को अवसर देकर देखिए - आप निराश नहीं होंगे।

In the previous article we had seen that there are sufficient evidences of the Biblical flood that occurred in Noah’s times, outside the Bible as the mythological stories of a similar  flood in all the civilizations of the world, and as fossils of sea-animals, even of whales and large sea-animals found at the snowy heights of the major mountain ranges. We had also seen how, the theory of plate tectonics, i.e., colliding and pressing together of the earth’s plates making up its crust, by itself ends up proving that these fossils could not have ended up on those mountains through this mechanism. From this we had also seen how science is not contrary to God or the Bible, but some of those who interpret and teach science and want to deny the existence of God and truths of the Bible, in the name of science, they misinterpret facts and teach their falsities. Now, therefore, since there is no other tenable explanation about these marine fossils, the evidence for their existence and findings is suppressed, it is not given its due prominence in scientific reporting. But by searching "marine fossils, sea-shells, whale fossils on mountains" on the Internet, a lot of information can still be found about it. Although scientists give various theories and explanations to explain the presence of fossils of sea animals in high mountainous regions, but their explanations do not truly go along with the evident facts unearthed by the scientists and science itself.

As we have seen in the previous articles, by its very nature and methodology, the theories, interpretations, and inferences of science always keep changing, are fallible, even contradicting and rejecting what may have been considered as solid facts earlier. Therefore, God told His people that for their eternal lives and their relationship with Him, they should only trust that which is perfect, unchanging, infallible eternally established, i.e., Him and His Word. "But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.  Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned” (Titus 3:9-11). They do not need to be worried about the changing, fallible, imperfect worldly knowledge and things from man, nor to give unnecessary importance or priority to the scientific knowledge, arguments, theories, etc., presented as “proofs” against God and the Bible, since man, all his knowledge and all his achievements will eventually perish with the world at its end.

God also warned that those who rely more on such worldly scientific knowledge can then, for their spiritual lives, be led astray from the faith "O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge -- by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen" (1 Timothy 6:20-21).

The Bible teaches us that salvation, i.e., the solution to man’s greatest problem - sin, is not through man’s own knowledge, but through repentance from sins and faith in the eternal, infallible, perfect God who loves them immeasurably. God has made this solution available through the gospel of forgiveness of sins and salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus, freely to all the people of the world, emphasizing that it is not based upon the knowledge and understanding of men, but on their realization of their sin present in them and their acceptance of salvation by faith. As the apostle Paul wrote about two thousand years ago: “And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God" (1 Corinthians 2:1-5).

The conclusion is that for the past sometime, we have been seeing that many attempts have been made to discredit and prove the Bible as false, but to date none has been able to prove the Bible to be false or wrong. Rather, in attempting to do so, many unbelievers, because of the proofs they discovered in favor of the Bible, came to faith in the Lord Jesus and became His ardent and committed followers. We have also seen through the previous and today’s article that in the Bible itself there is enough evidence of it being the infallible, eternal, and verifiably true Word of God; and how the facts of science are misinterpreted and misused against God and the Bible. In the days ahead, we will see the presence of many more kinds of scientific facts in the Bible, all written in it thousands of years ago, before men knew, or even had any idea about them. In the next article we will consider a few things about the origin of life and the theory of evolution.

So, today, in context of all that we have seen so far, what are your thoughts and your decision about the great and loving Creator God? Would you willingly and sincerely, with a heartfelt repentance of your sins, say a short prayer, “Lord Jesus, forgive my sins, take me under your care and save me from the judgment and terrible destruction that will be coming upon the sinful world and sinful men.” Your one sincere, voluntary prayer of faith will not only safeguard the rest of your earthly life but your eternity as well.        क्योंकि परमेश्वर के लोगों में परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ने और उसका पालन करने का चाव नहीं रहा है, बल्कि वे मनुष्यों द्वारा दी जा रही शिक्षाओं को सुनने और बिना उन्हें जाँचे तथा वचन से उनकी पुष्टि करे ही मानने से ही संतुष्ट रहते हैं, इसीलिए शैतान परमेश्वर के वचन और निर्देशों के बारे में बहुत सी गलत व्याख्याएँ एवं अर्थ, गलत शिक्षाएं और मिथ्या सिद्धांतों को परमेश्वर के लोगों तथा कलीसिया में ले आने पाया है। शैतान की इन बाइबल के विपरीत, झूठी, त्रुटिपूर्ण, दुष्ट शिक्षाओं ने ईसाई समाज या मसीहियत में बहुत गहरी जड़ पकड़ ली है, और सामान्यतः लोग उन्हीं में बने रहना भी चाहते हैं, न कि यह कि परमेश्वर के वचन से उन्हें जाँचे और उनकी पुष्टि करें, तथा अपने आप को सुधारें। हमारे इस अध्ययन, प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने, से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में से एक है कि हम किसी भी प्रकार से, अपने समुदाय या डिनॉमिनेशन की रीति के अनुसार, इसमें भाग ले सकते हैं, उससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता है और सभी परमेश्वर को मान्य है। दूसरी गलत शिक्षा है कि प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने से लोग धर्मी, परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य, और स्वर्ग में प्रवेश के लिये योग्य हो जाते हैं। किन्तु, जैसा कि हम पहले के लेखों में देख चुके हैं, परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में इन धारणाओं का कोई समर्थन, कोई पुष्टि नहीं है; ये सभी शैतान द्वारा परमेश्वर के वचन में मिलावट करने के द्वारा लाई तथा परोसी गई बातें हैं।

        हम इस विषय, प्रभु भोज, या, प्रभु की मेज़ के बारे में पुराने नियम के इसके प्ररूप, फसह से सीखते आ रहे हैं। फसह के बारे में परमेश्वर के निर्देश और नियम निर्गमन 12 में तथा मूसा में होकर परमेश्वर के द्वारा दी गई व्यवस्था में दिए गए हैं। वर्तमान में हम निर्गमन 12 से अध्ययन कर रहे हैं, और अभी अध्ययन में पद 8-10 पर पहुँचे हैं। इन पदों में बहुत से प्रतीक और चिह्न हैं जो प्रभु यीशु मसीह, प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने, और मसीही जीवन जीने से संबंधित हैं, और जिन्हें हमने देखा है। पिछले लेख में हमने बलि किए हुए मेमने को “खाने” के बारे में विस्तार से देखा था, और इसका प्रभु यीशु द्वारा उसकी “देह और लहू” को खाने के निर्देश के साथ संबंध को देखा था। हमने देखा था कि प्रभु का यह निर्देश, सांकेतिक रीति से उसके वचन का परिश्रम के साथ गंभीर अध्ययन करने तथा उसका पालन करने को दिखाता है। आज हम इन पदों में दिए गए प्रतीकों और चिह्नों पर और आगे देखेंगे, और उनसे प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने के बारे में और आगे की बातों को सीखेंगे।

        पद 8 कहता है कि इस्राएलियों को बलि किए हुए मेमने को उसी रात में खाना था। परमेश्वर के वचन में “रात” और “अंधकार” पाप के व्याप्त होने तथा शैतानी ताकतों के कार्यरत होने के प्रतीक हैं (रोमियों 13:12; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:5), स्वर्ग में कोई रात नहीं होगी (प्रकाशितवाक्य 21:25; 22:5); ये ऐसे समय के भी चिह्न हैं जब कोई भी प्रभु के लिए कार्य नहीं करने पाएगा (यूहन्ना 9:4)। प्रभु द्वारा दिए गए अंत के दिनों के चिह्नों में से एक है कि उसके लोग घोर सताव में से होकर निकलेंगे, झूठे शिक्षक और झूठी शिक्षाओं का बोल-बाला होगा, और बहुत से लोग ठोकर खाकर पीछे हट जाएंगे (मत्ती 24:9-12)। वर्तमान में संसार भर की परिस्थितियाँ एवं गतिविधियाँ, उनका निरंतर और भी बिगड़ते ही चले जाना, मसीही विश्वासियों को अधिकाधिक निशाना बनाया तथा प्रताड़ित किये जाना, सुसमाचार प्रचार तथा प्रभु को उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने में बढ़ती हुए बाधाएँ, सभी इस बात को दिखाते हैं कि हम इस “रात” के समय में जी रहे हैं; जिसमें प्रभु के लिए कार्य करना और भी अधिक कठिन होता चला जा रहा है। इस्राएलियों को उस रात में, मिस्र से निकाल जाने की पुकार की प्रतीक्षा करते हुए, बलि किए हुए मेमने को खाना था। जैसा हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है, यह मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए इस बात का प्रतीक है कि उन्हें अपने आप को परमेश्वर के वचन के अध्ययन में लौलीन कर लेना है, बिना इस बात की परवाह किए कि बाहर संसार में क्या हो रहा है। हमारे लिए कुलुस्सियों 3:16 इस बात की पुष्टि करता है, “मसीह के वचन को अपने हृदय में अधिकाई से बसने दो; और सिद्ध ज्ञान सहित एक दूसरे को सिखाओ, और चिताओ, और अपने अपने मन में अनुग्रह के साथ परमेश्वर के लिये भजन और स्तुतिगान और आत्मिक गीत गाओ”; और याकूब 1:21 हमें बताता है कि ऐसा क्यों करना है, “इसलिये सारी मलिनता और बैर भाव की बढ़ती को दूर कर के, उस वचन को नम्रता से ग्रहण कर लो, जो हृदय में बोया गया और जो तुम्हारे प्राणों का उद्धार कर सकता है।” स्मरण कीजिए कि मत्ती 24:12 में प्रभु ने कहा है कि संसार के हालात, और बढ़ते हुए अधर्म के कारण बहुतेरों का प्रेम ठंडा पड़ जाएगा। किन्तु जो परमेश्वर के वचन में दृढ़ता से स्थापित होंगे, संसार चाहे जो भी दिखाता और सिखाता रहे, वे वचन में ही विश्वास रखेंगे और उसी का पालन करेंगे, ऐसे लोग ही अपने छुटकारे की प्रतीक्षा करते हुए अपने विश्वास में दृढ़ बने रहेंगे।

        इन बातों से हम अपने अध्ययन, प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने के बारे में क्या सीखते हैं? जैसा कि हम पिछले लेख में देख और विचार कर चुके हैं, प्रभु की मेज़ उनके लिए है जो परमेश्वर के वचन का आदर करते हैं, उसका अध्ययन और पालन करते हैं। पाप के बड़ी गहराई से हर ओर, हर बात में व्याप्त होने और शैतानी शक्तियों के अभिभूत कर देने वाले कार्यों के इस समय में, अपने विश्वास में दृढ़ बने रहने, तथा शैतान की युक्तियों द्वारा बहकाए जाने से बचे रहने के लिए हमें परमेश्वर के वचन में दृढ़ता से स्थापित रहना है। प्रभु यीशु ने अंत के दिनों के चिह्नों में कहा है “तब बहुतेरे ठोकर खाएंगे, और एक दूसरे से बैर रखेंगे” (मत्ती 24:10), तथा, “और अधर्म के बढ़ने से बहुतों का प्रेम ठण्डा हो जाएगा” (मत्ती 24:12)। ये लोग कौन होंगे? ये वे लोग होंगे जो अपने विश्वास में कमजोर हैं, इसलिए वे शैतान की उन दुष्ट योजनाओं के सामने खड़े नहीं रहने पाएंगे जो वह संसार और प्रभु के लोगों पर लाएगा। यह बात कोई अंदाज़ा, किसी मनुष्य का विचार नहीं है; वरन यह एक स्थापित, कड़वा किन्तु अटल तथ्य है - स्वयं प्रभु यीशु ने यह कहा है, और उसकी कही हुई कोई भी बात कभी भी टलती या बदलती नहीं है। वो लोग इतने कमज़ोर और धोखा खाने तथा देने वाले क्यों होंगे? इसका उत्तर हम अपनी उपरोक्त चर्चा के आधार पर समझ सकते हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने कभी उनसे बारंबार किए गए आग्रह पर, कि उनके छुटकारे के लिए बलिदान हुए मेमने को “खा” लें, कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया; अर्थात, उन्होंने कभी परमेश्वर के वचन, बाइबल, को गंभीरता से पढ़ने और उसका पालन करने के महत्व पर ध्यान नहीं दिया। प्रभु भोज में अपने समुदाय या डिनॉमिनेशन की रीतियों के अनुसार पारंपरिक रीति से भाग ले लेने से व्यक्ति प्रभु में स्थापित तथा बढ़ता नहीं है; यह केवल मेमने को “खा लेने” के द्वारा, अर्थात परमेश्वर के वचन का प्रयास के साथ गंभीरता से अध्ययन करने और फिर हर कीमत पर उसका पालन करने के द्वारा ही होता है। जो ऐसा करते हैं वे “रात” में भी प्रभु में स्थापित और दृढ़ रहते हैं, और अन्ततः पीछे हटकर गिर जाने की बजाए छुटकारा भी पा लेते हैं।

        ये सभी बातें स्पष्ट दिखाती हैं कि प्रभु भोज में भाग लेना उनके लिए नहीं है जो इसे एक धार्मिक रीति या औपचारिकता के समान लेते हैं, किन्तु उनके लिए है जिन्होंने स्वेच्छा से प्रभु के योग्य जीवन बिताने उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में चलने का निर्णय लिया है, और इसके लिए कीमत चुकाने के लिए भी तैयार है। अगले लेख में हम निर्गमन 12 में से यहीं से आगे देखेंगे। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं कि नहीं? क्या आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है कि नहीं? तथा क्या आप प्रभु में एक नई सृष्टि बन गए हैं कि नहीं? क्या आप कलीसिया में विभाजनों और गुटों में बांटने में नहीं किन्तु एकता के साथ रहने में प्रयासरत रहते हैं कि नहीं? तथा क्या आप प्रभु की मेज़ में उसी प्रकार से भाग ले रहे हैं जैसे परमेश्वर ने निर्देश दिये हैं, प्रभु के प्रति पूर्ण समर्पण और प्रतिबद्धता के साथ, बड़ी गंभीरता से मेज़ के महत्व पर मनन करते हुए; या फिर आप किसी डिनॉमिनेशन की परंपरा अथवा किसी के  मनमाने विचारों के अनुसार भाग ले रहे हैं? अपने आप को जांच कर देखें कि क्या आप प्रभु के सामने खड़े होकर अपने जीवन का हिसाब देने के लिए तैयार हैं कि नहीं? आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा निरंतर परिपक्वता में बढ़ते जाएं। साथ ही सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

        यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Exodus 12:8-10 (3) - The Lord’s Table & Personal Bible Study

 

       Since people of God have lost interest in studying and obeying God’s Word, instead, have become content and satisfied with listening to and obeying man’s teachings, without evaluating and verifying them from God’s Word, therefore Satan has been able to bring in his misinterpretations, wrong teachings, and false doctrines about God’s instructions and His Word, amongst God’s people and the Church. These unBiblical, false, erroneous, devious, satanic teachings have become very firmly established in Christendom, and generally speaking, people like to persist in them, rather than verify them from God’s Word and correct themselves. One of these wrong teachings, related to the subject of our study - The Holy Communion, is that people can participate in it in any manner, as per the practices of their sect or denomination, and it will be acceptable to God. Another is that participating in the Hoy Communion, or the Lord’s Table, makes them righteous, acceptable to God, and worthy of gaining entrance into heaven. But God’s Word, the Bible has no support or affirmation for either of these notions, as we have seen in the earlier articles; all of these are satanic doctrines mixed into the teachings of God’s Word and served to the gullible people.

        We have been studying this subject of the Holy Communion or the Lord’s Table through its antecedent in the Old Testament, the Passover. God’s instructions and regulations regarding the Passover are given in Exodus 12, and in His Law, which He gave through Moses. We are presently studying from Exodus 12, and have reached verse 8-10. These verses have a lot of symbolisms and meanings that apply to the Lord Jesus, participating in the Lord’s Table, and Christian Living, that we have seen and studied in the recent articles. In the previous article, we have dwelt at length on the “eating” of the sacrificed lamb, and correlated it with the Lord’s instructions to “eat and drink” his body and blood, and seen that it signifies studying the Lord’s Word diligently, seriously, and obeying it. Today we will continue to dwell further on the symbolisms in these verses and learn from them about participating in the Holy Communion.

        Verse 8 says that the flesh of the sacrificed lamb had to be eaten on that night by the Israelites. In God’s Word, “night” or “darkness” are symbols of pervading sin and of satanic forces at work (Romans 13:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:5); in heaven there will be no night (Revelation 21:25; 22:5); night is also a symbol of the time when no one will be able to work for the Lord (John 9:4). One of the signs of the end times, given by the Lord was that His people will be severely persecuted, false teachers and teachings will abound, and many will fall away (Matthew 24:9-12). The prevailing and continually worsening world conditions, the increasing targeting and persecution of Christians, the worsening obstacles to preaching the Gospel and accepting the Lord Jesus as Savior, are all indicative that we are living in this period of the night; the period in which working for the Lord is becoming increasingly difficult. The Israelites, waiting for their deliverance, on the Passover night were to eat the sacrificed lamb, as they waited for the call to leave Egypt. As we have seen in the previous article, for the Christian Believers, this is an indicator of immersing themselves in the study of God’s Word, unperturbed by what is happening outside in the world. Colossians 3:16 affirms this for us, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”; and James 1:21 tells us why, “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” Recall, in Matthew 24:12, the Lord has said that due to the prevailing world conditions, the abounding lawlessness, the love of many will grow cold. But those who are firmly established in God’s Word, believe in it irrespective of what the world says and shows, obey it, will remain firm in their faith, waiting for their deliverance.

        What can we learn for our study on participating in the Holy Communion from this? As we have already seen and considered in the previous article, the Lord’s Table is for those who honor, study and obey God’s Word. In this time of prevailing sin and overwhelming activities of satanic forces, to remain firm in our faith and not succumb to the wiles of the devil, we need to be firmly established in God’s Word. The Lord Jesus has said about the signs of the end times that “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another” (Matthew 24:10), and “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). Who will these people be? They will be the ones who will be weak in their faith, not firmly established in God’s Word, and therefore they will not be able to stand up to the devious devices the devil will unleash against the people of God. This is not speculation, not mere conjecture; it is an established, hard and bitter fact - the Lord Jesus Himself has said it, and what He has said will never fail. And, why will they be so weak and fallible? We can deduce the answer from our discussion above, because they never paid serious heed to the repeated pleas of “eating” the lamb sacrificed for their deliverance; they never bothered to seriously study and obey the Bible - the Word of God. It is not a ritualistic participation in the Holy Communion, as per the practices of one’s sect and denomination, that makes a person grow and be strongly rooted in the Lord; it is only by “eating” the lamb, i.e., by seriously and diligently studying the Word of God and then obeying it at all costs, that one can remain firm and established in the Lord, even in the “night”, and eventually be delivered, instead of falling away.

        All these things show that participating in the Holy Communion is not for those who take it as a religious ritual or formality to be carried out perfunctorily, but is for those who willingly have chosen to live worthy of the Lord, in obedience to His Word, and are willing to pay the price for doing so. In the next article we will carry on from here and see more from these verses, Exodus 12:8-10. If you are a Christian Believer, and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word, are a new creation for the Lord. That you strive for unity, not divisions and factionalism in the Church, and have been participating as the Lord has instructed to be done, participating with full allegiance to the Lord, in all seriousness, and pondering over its significance; instead of doing it in any presumptive manner, or simply as a denominational ritual; and are you ready and prepared to stand before the Lord and answer for your life? It is also necessary for you to be spiritually mature, learn the right teachings of God’s Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers first check and test all teachings you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

पतरस पर? - (5) - मण्डली के लिए दृढ़ आधार अनिवार्य

पिछले लेखों में प्रभु यीशु की मण्डली या कलीसिया के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं। हमने देखा है कि मूल यूनानी भाषा में, प्रभु यीशु द्वारा मत्ती 16:18 में प्रयुक्त शब्द “कलीसिया” का अर्थ बुलाए गए या एकत्रित किए गए लोगों का समूह है, न कि कोई भवन, आराधना का स्थान, अथवा संस्था। साथ ही हमने देखा है कि इस पद की गलत व्याख्या और दुरुपयोग के आधार पर लोगों को यह गलत शिक्षा दी जाती है कि प्रभु ने अपनी मण्डली या कलीसिया को पतरस पर बनाने की बात कही है। हमने देखा है कि मत्ती 16:18 में प्रभु की कही गई बात की वास्तविकता को तीन बातों के आधार पर जाँच और समझ सकते हैं। ये तीन बातें हैं:

* क्या मत्ती 16:18 में प्रभु की कलीसिया बनाने की बात पतरस के लिए थी?

* क्या वचन में किसी अन्य स्थान पर पतरस पर कलीसिया बनाने की, उसे कलीसिया का आधार रखने की पुष्टि है?

* क्या पतरस इस आदर और आधार के योग्य था?

पिछले लेखों में हमने इनमें से पहली दो बातों के विश्लेषण को देखा था, और समझा था कि प्रभु यीशु ने आलंकारिक भाषा का प्रयोग तो किया, किन्तु मत्ती 16:18 में यह बात पतरस के विषय नहीं कही थी; साथ ही पवित्र शास्त्र में कहीं पर भी इस धरना का कोई समर्थन अथवा संकेत नहीं है कि कलीसिया पतरस पर बनाई गई। आज हम तीसरी बात, “क्या पतरस इस आदर और आधार के योग्य था?” को देखेंगे।

प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अपने पहाड़ी उपदेश (मत्ती 5-7 अध्याय) के अंत की ओर आकर एक दृष्टांत दिया था - दो घर बनाने वालों का (मत्ती 7:24-27)। घर बनाने वाला एक व्यक्ति मूर्ख ठहरा क्योंकि उसने स्थिर और दृढ़ नींव पर घर नहीं बनाया, और वह घर परिस्थितियों का सामना नहीं कर सका, शीघ्र ही गिर गया। दूसरा घर बनाने वाला बुद्धिमान ठहरा, क्योंकि उसने घर की नींव चट्टान पर डाली थी, इसलिए उसका घर स्थिर बना रहा, सभी परिस्थितियों को झेल सका। फिर निष्कर्ष में प्रभु ने कहा है कि वह दृढ़ चट्टान जिस पर स्थिर और अडिग घर या जीवन स्थापित होता है, उसकी शिक्षाएं हैं। जो प्रभु की बातें मानता है, वह चट्टान पर बने घर के समान स्थिर और दृढ़ बना रहेगा; किन्तु जो प्रभु की बातों को सुनता तो है, परंतु उनका पालन नहीं करता है वह उस मूर्ख मनुष्य के समान होगा जिसका घर या जीवन परिस्थितियों को झेल नहीं सकेगा, स्थिर बना नहीं रहेगा। अपनी सेवकाई के आरंभ में ही यह शिक्षा देने के बाद, क्या यह संभव है कि प्रभु अपनी ही दी हुई शिक्षा से पलट कर, अपनी विश्व-व्यापी कलीसिया को किसी अस्थिर, डांवांडोल रहने वाले मनुष्य पर स्थापित करेगा? साथ ही ध्यान करें, मत्ती 28:18-20 में - जो स्वर्गारोहण से पहले प्रभु यीशु द्वारा अपने शिष्यों को दी गई उनकी सेवकाई के विषय महान आज्ञा है, प्रभु ने शिष्यों से जाकर लोगों को उसका शिष्य बनाने, और जो शिष्य बन जाएं उन्हें उसकी सिखाई हुई बातों को सिखाने का निर्देश दिया है। वहाँ प्रभु ने यह नहीं कहा कि जैसा पतरस बताए या सिखाए, वही करना, वैसा ही सिखाना। एक बार फिर प्रभु ने स्वयं इस बात को दिखा दिया कि उसकी कलीसिया पतरस की बातों पर नहीं, प्रभु की शिक्षाओं पर स्थापित होगी; जैसा हम पिछले लेख में विस्तार से देख चुके हैं।

आज हम वचन में दी गई बातों के आधार पर देखेंगे कि क्या पतरस कलीसिया या मण्डली के लिए अत्यावश्यक यह स्थिर, दृढ़, और अडिग आधार हो सकता था? क्या विभिन्न परिस्थितियों और अवसरों पर, वचन में दिया गया पतरस का व्यवहार, इस बात की पुष्टि करता है कि वह डांवांडोल नहीं, वरन प्रभु की शिक्षाओं और निर्देशों पर सदा स्थिर और अडिग रहने वाला व्यक्ति था? इस विश्लेषण के लिए हम प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान से पहले की बातों को नहीं देखेंगे; क्योंकि यह प्रकट है कि प्रभु के मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने, और मृतकों में से जी उठने और शिष्यों को दर्शन देने के बाद, प्रभु के उनसे मिलते रहने और उन्हें सेवकाई के लिए तैयार करने के द्वारा शिष्यों तथा पतरस में बहुत सुधार तथा परिवर्तन आया था। किन्तु इस परिवर्तन के बावजूद, क्या पतरस प्रभु में अपने विश्वास और मण्डली में अपने मसीही व्यवहार में ऐसा स्थिर, दृढ़, और स्थापित हो गया था कि उसे कलीसिया का आधार बनाया जा सके?

प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान और स्वर्गारोहण के बाद की बातों को देखने से हमें पतरस के व्यवहार में कुछ खामियाँ और गलतियाँ दिखाई देती हैं, जो उसे अस्थिर और डांवांडोल तथा उस पर कलीसिया के स्थापित किए जाने के लिए आधार बनाए जाने के लिए अनुपयुक्त प्रकट करती हैं। 

हम इन बातों को अगले लेख में देखेंगे। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की आज्ञाकारिता एवं अधीनता में वचन की सच्चाइयों को उससे समझें। किसी के भी द्वारा कही गई कोई भी बात को तुरंत ही पूर्ण सत्य के रूप में स्वीकार न करें, विशेषकर तब, जब वह बात बाइबल की अन्य बातों के साथ ठीक मेल नहीं रखती हो। सदा इस बात का ध्यान रखें कि वचन के हर शब्द, हर बात को न केवल उसके तात्कालिक संदर्भ में देखें, समझें, तथा व्याख्या करें, वरन यह भी सुनिश्चित करें कि आपकी वह समझ और व्याख्या वचन में अन्य स्थानों पर दी गई संबंधित बातों एवं शिक्षाओं के अनुरूप भी है, उनके साथ किसी प्रकार का कोई विरोधाभास नहीं है। कभी भी किसी भी गलत शिक्षा को न तो स्वीकार करें और न ही उसका प्रचार और प्रसार करें; परमेश्वर अपने वचन की सच्चाइयों की अवहेलना करने वालों को फिर उन्हीं की मनसा के अनुसार भयानक भ्रम और विनाश में डाल देता है (यहेजकेल 14:7-8; 2 थिस्सलुनीकियों 2:10-12)।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

On Peter? - (5) - A Firm & Unshakeable Foundation Necessary

We have been considering about the Assembly or Church in the previous few articles. We have seen that in the Greek language, the word used by the Lord in Matthew 16:18 and translated as “Church” literally means a group of called out people, not a building, or a place of worship, or an organization, as is commonly thought nowadays. We also saw that by misinterpreting and misusing this verse, this wrong teaching is given that the Lord spoke of building His Church on Peter. We then saw that what the Lord said in Matthew 16:18 can be analyzed on the basis of three points, and its actual meaning can then be derived. These three points are:

* Was the Lord’s statement in Matthew 16:18 about building His Church, about Peter?

* Does the Scripture at any other place support or state this notion of the Church being built on Peter, or Peter being its foundation?

* Was Peter even worthy of this honor, of being considered to be the foundation for the Church?

In the previous articles we have analyzed according to the first two points, and saw that in Matthew 16:18 the Lord used figures of speech and a play on words but did not say that He will build His Church on Peter; nor do the Scriptures at any point, in any manner, support or indicate about the Church being built on Peter. Today we will look at the third point “Was Peter even worthy of this honor, of being considered to be the foundation for the Church?”

At the end of His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5-7), the Lord Jesus spoke a parable of two house-builders (Matthew 7:24-27). One house-builder turned out to be foolish because he did not build his house on a firm and unshakeable foundation, and his house could not remain standing in adverse circumstances, fell down quite soon. The other house-builder was called wise because he laid the foundation of his house on a rock, so his house could withstand all adverse circumstances and stood firm. In conclusion, the Lord said that the firm, unshakeable rock, on which a steady and firm life is built are His teachings. Whoever obeys the teachings and Word of the Lord, will remain steadfast like the house built on a rock; but the one who does not obey the Lord will be like the foolish house-builder whose house i.e., life could not withstand the circumstances and collapsed. The Lord had given these teachings at the beginning of His earthly ministry; is it possible that now towards the end of the ministry He will go against His own teachings and speak of establishing His world-wide Church on a shaky, vacillating man? Also note that in Matthew 28:18-20, in His Great Commission to His disciples about their ministry, given just before His ascension, the Lord has instructed His disciples to go and make other disciples; and to those who become His disciples, give them His teachings. The Lord did not say here to do and teach as Peter would instruct and tell them to do. Once more the Lord has shown that His Church will not be built on Peter’s teachings but on the teachings of the Lord Jesus, as we have seen in detail in the previous article.

Today we will see on the basis of God’s Word, could Peter have been the firm and unshakeable foundation that was required to build the Assembly or the Church of the Lord Jesus? Does Peter’s behavior under various circumstances and in various situations show us that he was not a shaky, vacillating person, but someone who was always firm and undeterred in following the teachings and instructions of the Lord? In analyzing this, we will not look at Peter’s life and behavior before the Lord’s resurrection; because it is quite evident that after seeing the resurrected Lord, being with Him for forty days, learning from Him during that time, and being made ready by the Lord for their coming ministry, a lot of improvement and changes came in the lives and attitudes of the disciples, including Peter. But despite these changes, did Peter really become the firm unshakeable person in his faith and obedience to the Lord, that he could be considered as the firm and unshakeable foundation upon which the Church could safely be built?

After the resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus, we still see some short-comings and wrongs in the Christian life and behavior of Peter, which clearly show him to be shaky and unworthy of being considered as the foundation of the Assembly or Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. 

We will consider these things in the next article. If you are a Christian Believer, then you should learn to discern and understand the truths of God’s Word under the guidance and teaching of the Holy Spirit. Do not accept anything and everything as the truth unless and until you have cross-checked and verified it from the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit; more so when that thing does not seem to be consistent with the other related things of the Bible. Always be careful to examine, interpret, and understand every word, everything of God's Word in its immediate context; and also make sure that the interpretation and understanding is also consistent with other related things stated elsewhere in the Bible, and there is no contradiction at any place, in any way. Those who knowingly and willingly choose to go against the truths and facts of God’s Word, choose to believe and do according to their thinking and mentality, God sends them into a terrible deception and destruction (Ezekiel 14:7-8; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12).

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude.
