निर्गमन 12:6 - प्रभु की मेज़ - उचित गंभीरता के साथ भाग लें
प्रभु भोज के हमारे इस अध्ययन में हमने देखा है कि प्रभु भोज के प्ररूप पुराने नियम में निर्गमन 12 में तथा व्यवस्था में फसह के रूप में पाए जाते हैं। प्रभु की मेज़ या प्रभु भोज को प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों के लिये स्थापित किया था, फसह की उस सामग्री में से लेकर जिसे परमेश्वर ने अपने चुने हुए लोगों, इस्राएल, के लिये तय किया था। न तो फसह, और न ही प्रभु भोज, कभी भी परमेश्वर के लोगों के अतिरिक्त किसी अन्य के भाग लेने के लिये दिये गए थे। फसह पर आधारित प्रभु की मेज़ को स्थापित करते समय न तो प्रभु यीशु ने, और न ही बाद में नए नियम की पत्रियों को लिखवाते समय पवित्र आत्मा ने कभी भी फसह से संबंधित परमेश्वर के किसी भी निर्देश को न तो निरस्त किया, न उस में कोई बदलाव किया, और न ही उस की किसी बात के स्थान पर कोई अन्य बात डाली; केवल उन्हीं के आधार पर और आगे के निर्देश दिये। हमने यह भी देखा है कि न तो फसह में भाग लेने से कभी कोई इस्राएली या परमेश्वर का चुना हुआ बना; और, आम धारणा के विपरीत, न ही प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने से कोई परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य या स्वर्ग में प्रवेश के योग्य ठहराया गया। वरन, प्रभु भोज में भाग लेना केवल नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों ही के लिये है; और इसमें अनुचित रीति से भाग लेना परमेश्वर के न्याय और दण्ड को निमंत्रण देना है (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:28-30)। शैतान परमेश्वर की बातों से संबंधित इन तथा अनेकों अन्य गलत शिक्षाओं और सिद्धांतों को मसीहियत में इसलिए घुसाने और स्थापित करने पाया है क्योंकि लोग अपने लिये परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करने और उसे सीखने के प्रति उदासीन और बेपरवाह हो गए हैं; उन्हें परमेश्वर के नाम में जो भी बताया और सिखाया जाता है उसे स्वीकार करने से पहले वचन से जाँचने और परखने में कोई रुचि नहीं है; और वो परमेश्वर को नहीं मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करने वाले बन गए हैं, अर्थात, परमेश्वर के निर्देशों को जानने और मानने की बजाए, अपने धार्मिक अगुवों की बातों को मानने और पालन करने के लिए तत्पर रहने वाले हो गए हैं।
इससे पिछले लेख में हमने फसह के बलि के मेमने के विषय परमेश्वर द्वारा कहे गए गुणों देखा था और यह देखा था कि वे सभी गुण प्रभु यीशु मसीह का पूर्वाभास हैं; उस प्रभु का जो परमेश्वर का मेमना है और सारे संसार के सभी लोगों के पाप से छुटकारे और उद्धार के लिए बलिदान किया गया। आज हम फसह के मेमने के प्रभु यीशु के बलिदान का पूर्वाभास होने को और आगे देखेंगे, तथा यह भी देखेंगे कि प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना कोई हल्की बात नहीं है, और इसे किसी भी रीति से एक औपचारिकता के समान यूं ही नहीं लिया जा सकता है।
निर्गमन 12:6 - निर्गमन 12:3 में लिखा है कि इस्राएलियों को निर्धारित गुणों वाले एक मेमने को महीने के दसवें दिन लेना था, और 6 पद कहता है कि चौदहवें दिन, गोधूलि के समय मेमने को बलि चढ़ाया जाना था। उसे बलि चढ़ाने तक, जब भी उस घर के लोग उस मेमने को देखते होंगे, उसे खाना-पानी देते होंगे, उनके मनों में यह विचार आता होगा कि हमारे मिस्र के दासत्व से छुटकारे के लिये इस निर्दोष और मासूम को बलि होना पड़ेगा।
आज ईसाई या मसीही समाज जिसे “खजूर का इतवार” के नाम से मनाता है, यह वह दिन है जब प्रभु यीशु यरूशलेम गदहे पर सवार होकर आया था (यूहन्ना 12:12-15), और बाइबल के विद्वान तथा व्याख्याकर्ताओं ने आँकलन करके यह निर्धारित किया है कि यह दिन निर्गमन 12:3 का वही महीने का दसवां दिन था जब फसह की बलि के लिये मेमना ले कर रखा जाना था। फसह के उस मेमने के विषय केवल परमेश्वर के लोग, इस्राएली ही यह जानते थे कि इसी सप्ताह में वह मेमना बलि चढ़ा दिया जाएगा और उन्हें दासत्व से छुटकारा मिल जाएगा। किन्तु गैर-यहूदियों को यह बात पता नहीं थी। इसी प्रकार से प्रभु भी अपने शिष्यों को अपने क्रूस पर होने वाले बलिदान के बारे में बताता आ रहा था (मत्ती 16:21; 17:12; 20:17-19; मरकुस 8:31; लूका 9:22; 13:33), अर्थात, समस्त मानव जाति के पापों के प्रायश्चित के लिये उसका बलिदान होना, किन्तु उन्होंने तब उसकी यह बात नहीं समझी, उन्हें बाद में समझ में आई (यूहन्ना 12:16)। प्रभु यीशु को महीने के चौदहवें दिन, दोपहर के लगभग क्रूस पर चढ़ाया गया; और तब “दो पहर से लेकर तीसरे पहर तक” उस इलाके पर अंधियारा छाया रहा (मत्ती 27:45; मरकुस 15:33; लूका 23:44), अर्थात लगभग 12 बजे से लेकर तीन बजे तक, और तीसरे पहर के समय, जब इस्राएल के लोग फसह के मेमने को बलिदान कर रहे थे, प्रभु यीशु ने अपने प्राण त्याग दिये, और निर्गमन 12:6 की बलि के दिन, और समय को पूरा किया - चौदहवें दिन की गोधूलि के समय बलिदान दिया जाना।
इससे हम प्रभु भोज और उसमें भाग लेने के बारे में क्या सीखते हैं? परमेश्वर ने फसह के बारे में अपनी योजना और निर्देश अपने लोगों, इस्राएलियों, पर प्रकट कर दिये थे; और प्रभु यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों को अपने बलिदान के बारे में, जो फसह के बलिदान को परिपूर्ण करना था, तथा जो मेज़ उसने स्थापित की थी, उनके बारे में बता दिया था। अब यह शिष्यों की ज़िम्मेदारी थी कि वे इसके बारे में मनन करें, अपने किसी भी संदेह का निवारण करें, और प्रभु से सीखें कि वह उनसे क्या चाहता है कि वे करें। आज भी प्रभु के निर्देश पवित्र बाइबल के रूप में हमारे हाथों में हैं; परमेश्वर का पवित्र आत्मा प्रत्येक नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी में उद्धार पाने के पल से विद्यमान है (इफिसियों 1:13-14), और उसका मसीही विश्वासियों में विद्यमान होने का एक उद्देश्य है उन्हें प्रभु के निर्देशों और वचन को स्मरण करवाना तथा वचन को सिखाना (यूहन्ना 14:26)। किन्तु उस समय उन शिष्यों ने प्रभु की बातों को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया, और कुछ ही समय के बाद, प्रभु के नाम के लिये सताए जाने के पहले आभास पर ही वे उसे अकेला छोड़ कर भाग गए। इसी प्रकार से अधिकांश “ईसाई” या “मसीही” जो परंपरागत रीति से प्रभु भोज में नियमित भाग लेते रहते हैं, उन्होंने कभी यह परवाह और प्रयास नहीं किया है कि प्रभु भोज को गंभीरता से लें, उसके अर्थ, महत्व, और आवश्यकता का परमेश्वर के वचन से अध्ययन करें और उसके बारे में सीखें। वे अपनी डिनॉमिनेशन की सभाओं में श्रद्धा-पूर्ण और भक्त समझे जाना तो चाहते हैं, किन्तु परमेश्वर के वचन और निर्देशों को पढ़ने और सीखने में समय बिताना नहीं चाहते हैं। कठिनाइयों और सताव के समय में प्रभु के नाम के लिये खड़े होना और पहचाने जाना नहीं चाहते हैं; और न ही यदि कभी ईमानदारी और खराई से कार्य करने के लिए खड़े होने की बात आती है तो वे खड़े होते हैं, वरन संसार के लोगों के समान समझौते कर लेते हैं। प्रभु के प्रति उनकी श्रद्धा केवल कहने भर की होती है, व्यावहारिक जीवन में वास्तविक रीति से कार्यकारी नहीं। लेकिन प्रभु भोज में सम्मिलित होने की माँग है कि व्यक्ति हर परिस्थिति में और हर बात के लिये स्मरण करता रहे कि प्रभु यीशु ने उसके लिये क्या कुछ किया है, जिससे उसके समान चल सके (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:1)।
फसह के लिए घराने में रखा गया बलि का मेमना लोगों को याद दिलाता था कि एक निर्दोष और मासूम को अपने जीवन के उत्तम समय में बलि होना पड़ेगा, ताकि उन्हें दासत्व से छुटकारा मिल सके। प्रभु यीशु ने मेज़ की स्थापना के समय निर्देश दिया कि उसके स्मरण में यह किया करें और इसी निर्देश को पौलुस प्रेरित के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा ने भी दोहराया (लूका 22:19; 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:24-25)। प्रभु के द्वारा प्रभु भोज को स्थापित करना कोई बाद में सोची गाए बात नहीं थी, न ही यह कोई रीति अथवा परंपरा है जिसे प्रभु ने सोचा और शिष्यों पर थोप दिया, और उन से कह दिया कि इसका भी प्रचार करें। प्रभु यीशु परमेश्वर पिता की इच्छा को तथा उनके बारे में पवित्र शास्त्र में जो लिखा गया था, उसे पूरा करने के लिये आए थे (लूका 24:25-27, 45-46; 1 कुरिन्थियों 15:3-4; इब्रानियों 10:7)। प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने का समय कोई औपचारिकता निभाते हुए किसी डिनॉमिनेशन की पुस्तक में से छपे हुए या फिर पुल्पिट पर से बोले जाने वाले शब्दों को रीति के समान दोहराने का और औपचारिकता को पूरा करने का समय नहीं है। प्रभु भोज का समय गंभीरता और गहन विचार के साथ प्रभु द्वारा हमारे पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के लिए, शैतान की घातक पकड़ से छुड़ाए जाने के लिये चुकाई गई कीमत पर मनन और स्मरण करने का समय है। जो लोग प्रभु भोज में उनके मत, समुदाय, या डिनॉमिनेशन की रीति या परंपरा के रूप में, एक औपचारिकता निभाने के लिये भाग लेते हैं, बिना उसके महत्व को समझे या उसे गंभीरता लिए; अर्थात, जिनके जीवनों और व्यवहार में इसमें भाग लेने के द्वारा कोई भला परिवर्तन और आत्मिक उन्नति नहीं होती है, उन्हें इसे हल्के में लेने से संबंधित इस गंभीर चेतावनी पर ध्यान देना और गहराई से विचार करना चाहिए: “जब कि मूसा की व्यवस्था का न मानने वाला दो या तीन जनों की गवाही पर, बिना दया के मार डाला जाता है। तो सोच लो कि वह कितने और भी भारी दण्ड के योग्य ठहरेगा, जिसने परमेश्वर के पुत्र को पांवों से रौंदा, और वाचा के लहू को जिस के द्वारा वह पवित्र ठहराया गया था, अपवित्र जाना है, और अनुग्रह की आत्मा का अपमान किया। क्योंकि हम उसे जानते हैं, जिसने कहा, कि पलटा लेना मेरा काम है, मैं ही बदला दूंगा: और फिर यह, कि प्रभु अपने लोगों का न्याय करेगा। जीवते परमेश्वर के हाथों में पड़ना भयानक बात है” (इब्रानियों 10:28-31)।
अगले लेख में हम निर्गमन में से यहीं से आगे देखेंगे। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा प्रभु में एक नई सृष्टि बन गए हैं कि नहीं? क्या आप कलीसिया में विभाजनों और गुटों में बांटने में नहीं किन्तु एकता के साथ रहने में प्रयासरत रहते हैं कि नहीं? तथा क्या आप प्रभु की मेज़ में उसी प्रकार से भाग ले रहे हैं जैसे परमेश्वर ने निर्देश दिये हैं, प्रभु के प्रति पूर्ण समर्पण और प्रतिबद्धता के साथ, बड़ी गंभीरता से मेज़ के महत्व पर मनन करते हुए; या फिर आप किसी डिनॉमिनेशन की परंपरा अथवा किसी के मनमाने विचारों के अनुसार भाग ले रहे हैं? आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा निरंतर परिपक्वता में बढ़ते जाएं। साथ ही सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Exodus 12:6 - The Lord’s Table - Participate With Due Seriousness
In our study on the Holy Communion, we have seen that the antecedents of the Communion are found in the Old Testament instances of the Passover, in Exodus 12 and in the Law as the Passover festival. The Lord’s Table or the Holy Communion was established by the Lord Jesus Christ for His disciples, using the elements of the Passover meal, which was given in the OT by the Lord God for His chosen people, the Israelites. Neither the Passover, nor the Holy Communion was ever meant for anyone other than the people of God. In establishing the Lord’s Table based on the Passover, neither the Lord Jesus at the initiation of the Table, nor the Holy Spirit in the New Testament writings subsequently ever annulled, changed, or replaced any of God’s ordinances related to the Passover, but only built upon them. We have also seen that neither participating in the Passover made the participant an Israelite or chosen of God; nor, contrary to the popular belief, participating in the Holy Communion makes one acceptable to God and worthy of entry into heaven. Rather, those who are the Born-Again children of God are to partake of the Table; and partaking in an unworthy manner invites God’s judgement and retribution (1 Corinthians 11:28-30). Satan has been able to bring in and establish these and many other wrong teachings about the things of God, since people have become uncaring and unconcerned about studying God’s Word for themselves, about cross-checking what is taught to them in the name of God, and have become pleasers of men rather than of God, i.e., are more worried about following the teachings of men, i.e., of their religious leaders, than of knowing God’s instructions and fulfilling them.
In the previous article we had seen that the God ordained characteristics of the sacrificial Lamb to be used for the Passover were a foreshadow of the Lord Jesus - the Lamb of God sacrificed for the salvation and redemption of mankind. Today we will see further, how the Passover lamb foreshadows the Lord Jesus Christ and participating in the Lord’s table is no frivolous matter, it can in no way be done casually, perfunctorily.
Exodus 12:6 - It is written in Exodus 12:3 that the Israelites were to take a lamb with the given characteristics on the tenth day of the month; and verse 6 says that on the fourteenth day that lamb was to be sacrificed at twilight. Till the time of sacrifice, the sacrificial lamb was to be with the household, being seen and observed by them, and then on the fourth day it was to be sacrificed in the evening. Every time they looked at it, fed and watered it, the thought crossing their minds would have been, that this lamb will have to die, so that we can be delivered from the bondage of Egypt.
What Christendom celebrates as the “Palm Sunday”, was the day that the Lord Jesus rode into Jerusalem seated on a donkey (John 12:12-15), and Bible scholars and commentators have calculated this to be the same “tenth day” of Exodus 12:3 for the Passover. For the Passover lamb, only the people of God, the Israelites knew that within the week the lamb would be sacrificed and they would be delivered from their bondage. But this was not apparent to the non-Israelites. Similarly, the Lord had been instructing His disciples about His coming crucifixion (Matthew 16:21; 17:12; 20:17-19; Mark 8:31; Luke 9:22; 13:33), i.e., His being sacrificed to atone for the sins of all of mankind, although they did had not understood it then, but they did later (John 12:16). Lord Jesus was crucified on the fourteenth day of the month, at around noon; there was darkness over the land “from the sixth to the ninth hour” (Matthew 27:45; Mark 15:33; Luke 23:44), i.e., from noon till around 3pm and soon after the ninth hour, while the people of Israel were sacrificing the Passover lamb, the Lord Jesus gave up His Spirit, fulfilling the day and time and sacrifice of Exodus 12:6, which was to be carried out in the evening on the fourteenth day of the month.
What do we learn from this about the Holy Communion and our participating in it? God had revealed His plans and instructions to His people, the Israelites, about the Passover; and the Lord had told His disciples about His coming sacrifice, which was a fulfillment of the Passover, and about the Table He had established. It was for the disciples to ponder over, clear up any doubts they had, and learn from the Lord to do as He wanted them to. His instructions are with us as the Bible; His Holy Spirit is in every Born-Again Christian Believer from the moment of salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14), and has been given to the Believers, amongst other things, to bring to their remembrance Lords instructions and teach them His Word, the Bible (John 14:26). But the disciples did not take His words seriously, and soon after, at the first sign of being persecuted for His name, deserted the Lord and ran away. Similarly, most “christians”, who regularly and ritualistically participate in the Communion, have never bothered to seriously consider its meaning, significance, and necessity, or study and learn the Word of God. They would like to be seen and treated as reverential and godly in their denominational meetings, but are not willing to spend time in studying and learning God’s Word and its instructions. They are very wary of standing up and being counted for the Lord in times of persecution and hardships, or even showing honesty and integrity when tested for it, choosing to compromise and do like the world, instead. Their reverence for the Lord is nothing more than lip service. But the Holy Communion calls for the person to remember the Lord Jesus and what He has done in all circumstances, so as to emulate Him (1 Corinthians 11:1).
The sacrificial lamb for the Passover within the household would make the people ponder about how an innocent animal in the prime of life will have to be sacrificed, so that they could be delivered from their bondage. The Lord Jesus gave the Lord’s Table with the instruction to partake of it in remembrance of Him, which was reiterated by the Apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:24-25). Establishing the Holy Communion by the Lord Jesus, was not an afterthought, not a ritual or tradition He thought up and foisted upon His disciples, and instructed them to preach it around. The Lord Jesus came to fulfill God the Father’s will and all things written about Him in the Scriptures (Luke 24:25-27, 45-46; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 10:7). The partaking in the Lord’s Table is not to be a time of perfunctorily reading and repeating some printed words from a denominational book, or some words conventionally being spoken from the pulpit, and fulfilling a formality. The Lord’s Table is to be a time of deeply pondering the price the Lord had to pay so that we could be redeemed and saved from our sins and the death-hold that Satan had us in. Those who participate in the Communion as a denominational ritual, a tradition, perfunctorily, without understanding the significance, or taking it seriously, i.e., in whose life partaking of the Lord’s Table is not bringing about any change for the better, and whose spiritual lives are not improving because of it, should deeply consider the serious admonition of taking it lightly, “Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The Lord will judge His people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:28-31).

If you are a Christian Believer, and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually redeemed from your sins, are a new creation for the Lord. That you strive for unity, not divisions and factionalism in the Church, and have been participating as the Lord has instructed to be done, participating with full allegiance to the Lord, in all seriousness, and pondering over its significance; instead of doing it in any presumptive manner, or simply as a denominational ritual. It is also necessary for you to be spiritually mature, learn the right teachings of God’s Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers first check and test all teachings you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
