पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि आम धारणा के विपरीत, चारों सुसमाचारों में दिए गए घटनाक्रम के आधार पर हम यह देखते हैं कि यहूदा इस्करियोती फसह के भोज के समय तो उपस्थित था; किन्तु प्रभु यीशु द्वारा मेज़ को स्थापित किये जाने के समय से पहले वह चला गया था। अर्थात यहूदा इस्करियोती ने प्रथम प्रभु भोज में भाग नहीं लिया था, जो निर्गमन 12 में दिये गए वर्णन से पूर्णतः मेल खाता है, और हमें यह निष्कर्ष प्रदान करता है कि प्रभु की मेज़ केवल उसके सच्चे, समर्पित, आज्ञाकारी शिष्यों के लिए ही है। आज हम इसी बात से सम्बन्धित कुछ और बातों पर विचार करेंगे।

कभी-कभी लोग यह तर्क देते हैं कि क्योंकि प्रभु यीशु ने यहूदा इस्करियोती को उस प्रथम प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने दिया, तो फिर आज क्यों वे लोग जो प्रभु यीशु को समर्पित और प्रतिबद्ध नहीं हैं, इसमें भाग नहीं ले सकते हैं? हमें इसे दो दृष्टिकोण से समझने की आवश्यकता है - पहला, जैसे के हम ऊपर देख चुके हैं, प्रभु यीशु ने यहूदा को प्रथम प्रभु भोज में भाग नहीं लेने दिया। दूसरी बात, जैसा कि हमने बारंबार निर्गमन 12 के अध्ययन के समय बल देकर कहा है, प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना एक यादगार है, प्रभु के बलिदान और हमें पाप के दासत्व से छुड़ाने के उसके काम की; इसमें भाग उसका आदर और आज्ञाकारिता करने के लिए है। प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने से कोई पवित्र और धर्मी नहीं बनता है, और न ही कोई परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य अथवा स्वर्ग में प्रवेश पाने के योग्य हो जाता है - इस विचारधारा के समर्थन एवं पुष्टि के लिए बाइबल में कोई हवाला अथवा उदाहरण नहीं है। तो फिर, बिना प्रभु यीशु के प्रति समर्पित और प्रतिबद्ध हुए, प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने के द्वारा किसी को क्या लाभ होगा और कैसे? बल्कि, जैसा कि 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:27-31 में लिखा है, जो इसमें अयोग्य रीति से भाग लेते हैं, वे अपने ऊपर परमेश्वर के न्याय को लाते हैं। इसलिए जो प्रभु परमेश्वर के प्रति समर्पित और प्रतिबद्ध नहीं हैं, उनके लिए प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना किसी लाभ का नहीं परंतु बड़ी हानि का कारण होगा; इसलिए उन्हें अपने लाभ के लिए इसमें भाग लेने से स्वयं को रोक कर रखना चाहिए, जब तक कि वे प्रभु के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध नहीं हो जाते हैं और उसके साथ जुड़ नहीं जाते हैं; जैसा कि फसह के लिए निर्देश दिया गया था। यह निर्गमन 12:43-49 की बात के समान है, फसह में केवल तब ही कोई परदेशी भाग ले सकता था, जब वह अपने आप को परमेश्वर और अब्राहम के मध्य हुई वाचा के अंतर्गत ले आता था, और खतने के द्वारा इसकी गवाही दे देता था।

अगले लेख से हम 1 कुरिन्थियों 11 पर जाएंगे, तथा आगे की बातें वहाँ से सीखेंगे। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Lord’s Table - Not for Those not Committed to the Lord (2)

 

In the previous article we have seen that contrary to the generally held concept, on the basis of the description of events given in the four gospels, Judas Iscariot was present at the time of the Passover meal, but had left by the time the Lord Jesus established the Table. That is to say that Judas Iscariot had not taken part in the first Holy Communion established by the Lord. This is in complete conformity with what was said in Exodus 12, and provides to us the conclusion that the Holy Communion is only for the true, fully surrendered and obedient disciples of the Lord. Today we will consider some other things related to this.

Sometimes, people argue that since the Lord allowed Judas Iscariot to partake of the first Holy Communion, so why can’t people who are not actually committed to the Lord do the same today? We need to understand it from two different perspectives - firstly, as we have seen above, the Lord Jesus did not let Judas partake of the first Holy Communion. Secondly, as we have repeatedly emphasized during the study from Exodus 12, partaking in the Lord’s Table is in remembrance of the sacrifice of the Lord to deliver us from the bondage of sin; it is to honor and obey Him. Partaking of the Lord’s Table does not accord anyone any holiness or righteousness, nor makes anyone acceptable to God, nor worthy of entering into heaven - there is no Biblical reference to support and affirm this thinking. So, how would anyone benefit, and in what manner, by participating in the Holy Communion, without being committed to the Lord? Rather, as it says in 1 Corinthians 11:27-31, those who participate unworthily, invite God’s judgement upon themselves. Therefore, for those not committed to the Lord, participating in the Lord’s Table is more harmful than of any good; and for their own benefit they should refrain from doing so, till they make a commitment to the Lord and join themselves to Him; as was the instruction for the Passover - only those who first came under the covenant of God with Abraham, and witnessed for it through circumcision, could participate in the Passover (Exodus 12:43-49).

From the next article, we will shift to 1 Corinthians 11 and learn more from there. If you are a Christian Believer and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually a disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers, first check and test all teachings that you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

प्रभु की मेज़ - प्रभु द्वारा निर्धारित विधि से भाग लेने के लिए

 

       प्रभु भोज के प्ररूप, परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित फसह में होकर हमारे इस विषय के अध्ययन में हमने देखा है कि कैसे फसह का बलि का मेमना और परमेश्वर के बलि के मेमने, प्रभु यीशु मसीह, में समानताएँ हैं, और किस प्रकार से वह प्रथम फसह में भाग लेना, प्रभु यीशु द्वारा सारे संसार के सभी लोगों के समस्त पापों के लिए प्रभु यीशु के बलिदान और समाधान का प्ररूप है। इन सब में होकर हमने फसह तथा प्रभु की मेज़ के अर्थ, महत्व, और मनाने के बारे में बहुत सी बातों को देखा और सीखा है। हमने अपने पहले खण्ड, निर्गमन 12:1-14 के अंत पर आकर देखा है कि परमेश्वर ने उस एक बार के छुटकारे की घटना को, हमेशा के लिए उस घटना की यादगार में मनाए जाने वाले उत्सव में परिवर्तित कर दिया है - इस्राएलियों के लिए एक सालाना पर्व तथा प्रभु यीशु के शिष्यों के लिए, उसके तथा परमेश्वर के राज्य के आने तक (लूका 22:18; 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:26), उसकी मेज़ में भाग लेते रहने के लिए।

       प्रभु भोज के बारे में सीखने से संबंधित हमारे दूसरे खण्ड निर्गमन 12:15-20 में प्रभु परमेश्वर ने इस यादगार के उत्सव, फसह तथा प्रभु भोज, को मनाने के लिए निर्देश दिए हैं। यह एक बार फिर से इस बात पर बल देता है कि परमेश्वर अपनी आराधना, तथा महिमा और बड़ाई किए जाने से संबंधित बातों को पापमय मनुष्य, जो शैतान द्वारा बड़ी सरलता से चतुराई में फँसाया जा सकता है, के हाथों में किसी भी प्रकार से नहीं छोड़ता है। क्योंकि मनुष्य को पता भी नहीं चलेगा कि कब शैतान बड़े हल्के में और चालाकी से उससे भक्ति और धार्मिकता के भेष में, कुछ ऐसा करवा देगा जो अन्ततः परमेश्वर और उसकी आराधना को भ्रष्ट करेगा, उनका निरादर कर देगा। हम निर्गमन में देखते हैं कि इस्राएलियों के मिस्र के दासत्व से छुड़ाए जाने के पश्चात, परमेश्वर ने उन्हें अपनी दस आज्ञाएँ दीं, जो उनका मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए थीं; उनके जीवन और संबंधों के हर रीति से निर्देशित करने के लिए - परमेश्वर के साथ भी, तथा परस्पर एक-दूसरे के साथ भी। उसने उन्हें परमेश्वर की आराधना करने के लिए मिलाप वाले तंबू से संबंधित बातों का विवरण भी दिया - उससे संबंधित सभी बातों का - उसका आकार, उसकी लंबाई, चौड़ाई, ऊंचाई और उसका नक्शा, उसमें लगने और उपयोग होने वाले सामान का विवरण, उसे कैसे खड़ा करना है, कैसे लपेटना है, कैसे उपयोग करना है, आदि, सब कुछ परमेश्वर ने ही निश्चित और निर्धारित किया, मनुष्य को केवल उसके निर्देशों का पालन करना था। और निर्गमन की पुस्तक के दूसरे अर्ध-भाग में, परमेश्वर ने मूसा को बारंबार इसके लिए सचेत किया कि वह इस बात का ध्यान रखे कि सब कुछ वैसे ही किया जाए जैसा उसे बताया और दिखाया गया है, उसमें ज़रा सा भी कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होना चाहिए। फिर लैव्यव्यवस्था और गिनती की पुस्तकों में परमेश्वर ने अपनी व्यवस्था दी, जिसके अनुसार उसके लोगों को चलना था, और उसकी उपासना, आराधना करनी थी; कोई भी बात किसी भी मनुष्य की कल्पना, पसन्द-नापसंद पर नहीं छोड़ी गई थी। फिर वाचा के देश, कनान में प्रवेश करने से पहले, व्यवस्थाविवरण की पुस्तक में, परमेश्वर ने मूसा के द्वारा इन सारी बातों को उन लोगों के सामने दोहराया; तथा लिखवा भी दिया कि उसके निर्देशों में से किसी भी बात में न तो कुछ जोड़ा जाएगा, और न उस में से कुछ घटाया जाएगा (व्यवस्थाविवरण 4:2; 12:32); और इसी बात को अपने वचन बाइबल में दो बार और दोहरा दिया, एक बार मध्य में, नीतिवचन 30:5-6 में, और फिर अंत में प्रकाशितवाक्य 22:18-19 में।

       जब मिलाप वाले तंबू के स्थान पर परमेश्वर के मंदिर को बनाने का समय आया, तब परमेश्वर ने एक मनुष्य, राजा दाऊद को, इसके विषय उसकी अपनी इच्छा पूरी नहीं करने दी; जबकि परमेश्वर का नबी नातान उससे सहमत था,और  दाऊद परमेश्वर के मन के अनुसार व्यक्ति था (प्रेरितों 13:22) और परमेश्वर के निकट था, हम आज भी उसके द्वारा लिखे गए भजनों का अध्ययन करते हैं, परमेश्वर की स्तुति और आराधना के लिए उपयोग करते हैं। किन्तु परमेश्वर ने दाऊद और नातान की इच्छा को पूरा नहीं होने दिया, परन्तु राजा सुलैमान को चुना कि वह मंदिर को बनवाए (1 राजाओं 8:15-20)। एक बार फिर से परमेश्वर ने मंदिर के बारे में किसी भी बात को मनुष्यों के हाथों में, उनकी इच्छा पर नहीं छोड़ा। परमेश्वर ने मंदिर का सारा विवरण, याजकों और लेवियों की सेवा सहित, दाऊद को लिखवाया; और सुलैमान ने परमेश्वर द्वारा दाऊद को दिए गए उस विवरण, तथा सामग्री के द्वारा मंदिर का निर्माण करवाया (1 इतिहास 28:11-19)। फिर हम देखते हैं कि अपने पहाड़ी उपदेश के अंत की ओर, प्रभु यीशु ने भी इसी बात पर बल दिया कि परमेश्वर की सेवा उसकी इच्छा के अनुसार और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में की जानी चाहिए; न कि परमेश्वर के नाम में कुछ भी कर लें और यह मान लें कि वह परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होगा, वह उसका अनुमोदन करेगा, और उसके लिए प्रतिफल देगा (मत्ती 7:21-23), जबकि ऐसा करने के लिए उन मनुष्यों को प्रतिफल नहीं तिरस्कार और ताड़ना मिलेगी। अब फसह तथा उस पर आधारित प्रभु की मेज़ के लिए भी परमेश्वर ने हमेशा के लिए इस यादगार उत्सव को निर्धारित करते हुए, अपने इसी सिद्धांत को लागू किया है। इस उत्सव को मनाने का परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया एक तरीका है, और जब तक कि यह उस विधि के अनुसार नहीं मनाया जाएगा, वह व्यर्थ, निष्फल, और परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य है, उसमें भाग लेने वालों के लिए किसी महत्व अथवा प्रतिफल का नहीं है।

       जैसा कि इस विषय पर पिछले सभी लेखों में बारंबार बल देकर कहा गया है, शैतान अपनी इस कुटिलता में, परमेश्वर के निर्देशों को भ्रष्ट और महत्वहीन करने में केवल इसीलिए सफल होने पाया है क्योंकि परमेश्वर के लोगों ने परमेश्वर के वचन को “खाना”, अर्थात उसका व्यक्तिगत अध्ययन करना बंद कर दिया है। वरन, अब वे केवल इसी से संतुष्ट हैं कि परमेश्वर के नाम में पुल्पिट से उन्हें जो भी कह और सिखा दिया जाए, बिना बाइबल से उसकी जाँच-परख और पुष्टि किए, उसे स्वीकार कर लें, उसका पालन कर लें। क्योंकि अब शायद ही कोई होता है जो शैतान की बातों को चुनौती दे, उसकी भ्रष्ट शिक्षाओं का सामना करे इसलिए वह बड़ी चतुराई और हल्के में, आसानी से परमेश्वर के निर्देशों को बदल लेने, उनके अर्थ बदल लेने पाया है। ऐसा कर के उसने परमेश्वर के लोगों के लिए परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता के द्वारा जो आशीषें और सामर्थ्य इन बातों के द्वारा आनी चाहिए थी, उसे चुरा लिया है, और उन लोगों को अनन्त विनाश के पथ पर डाल दिया है। जबकि लोग बिना सोचे-समझे, इसी गलती में पड़े हुए हैं कि वे परमेश्वर की सेवा कर रहे हैं, स्वर्ग के मार्ग पर हैं - कृपया यशायाह 5:13 और होशे 4:6 पढ़ें और विचार करें।

        जैसा कि हम पहले देख चुके हैं, प्रभु भोज में भाग लेना एक धार्मिक रीति या औपचारिकता नहीं है, और न ही यह भाग लेने वालों के लिए परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य तथा स्वर्ग जाने के योग्य बनाने के लिए है। किन्तु यह उनके लिए है जिन्होंने स्वेच्छा से प्रभु के योग्य जीवन बिताने उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में चलने का निर्णय लिया है, और इसके लिए कीमत चुकाने के लिए भी तैयार हैं। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाए हुए प्रभु के शिष्य हैं, अर्थात पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने स्वेच्छा से अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

The Lord’s Table - The Necessity of Obedience

 

       In our study of the Holy Communion, through its antecedent, the Passover, ordained by God, we have seen how the sacrificial lamb of the Passover, and the Lord Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb of God corelate, and how the manner of partaking in that first Passover, foreshadows the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus through His sacrifice for all of the sins of the entire mankind. Through this all, we have learnt many things about the meaning, significance, and observance of the Passover and the Holy Communion. At the conclusion of our first section of Exodus 12:1-14, we have seen that God has turned that one-time event of deliverance, into a memorial feast for all times - as annual Passover Feast for the Israelites, and as the perpetual participation in the Lord’s Table for His disciples, till He and God’s Kingdom come (Luke 22:18; 1 Corinthians 11:26).

        Our second section for learning about the Holy Communion through the Passover is Exodus 12:15-20, where the Lord God has given the instructions about the Lord’s people celebrating this Passover Feast, and the Holy Communion. This again emphasizes that God never leaves it to sinful man, prone to succumb to the wiles of the devil, to plan and do anything for worshipping and exalting God! Since, without even man’s realizing it, Satan will very subtly and cunningly bring in something in a seemingly very pious and godly manner, that eventually will corrupt and dishonor God’s worship and stature. In Exodus we see that after the deliverance of the Israelites, God gave them His Ten Commandments to guide them about every aspect of their life and relationships - with God as well as mutually. He gave them the details of the Tabernacle, where they had to worship God - everything about it - the size, the shape and design, the things, the materials to be used, the way it was to be set-up, taken-down, transported, the way it was to be utilized, etc., - everything was decided and detailed by God, man was only to follow His instructions. Throughout the second half of Exodus, about everything, God repeatedly cautioned Moses to make sure that he did everything as was told and shown to him, there was to be absolutely no change, no variation in it. Then in the books of Leviticus and Numbers, God gave them His Law, according to which His people had to conduct themselves and worship Him; nothing was left to the imaginations, likes, and preferences of any man; and then God had it all repeated to Israel, through Moses on the edge of Canaan, before they entered the Promised Land of Canaan, in the Book of Deuteronomy. God also emphasized that nothing from what He had given was to be altered; nothing added to it, and nothing taken away from it (Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32); and He has repeated and re-emphasized this instruction towards the middle, and then at the end of His Word, the Bible, in Proverbs 30:5-6, and Revelation 22:18-19.

        When the time came for the Tabernacle to be replaced by God’s Temple, God did not allow a man, King David, to fulfil his own desire and do it; even though God’s prophet Nathan agreed with David about it, and David was a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22), was very near to God, and we still use and study Psalms written by him in praise of God. But God over-ruled David and Nathan, and chose King Solomon to build that Temple (1 Kings 815-20). Once again, God did not leave it to any man to decide anything about the Temple, but gave all the details to David, including the services of the Priest and Levites; and Solomon built according to those God given plans, and with the materials provided by God through David (1 Chronicles 28:11-19). Then again, towards the end of His Sermon on the Mount, the Lord Jesus too emphasized upon serving God according to His will and in obedience to Him, instead of doing things in the name of God and assuming that they will be accepted, acknowledged, and rewarded by Him (Matthew 7:21-23), whereas actually, those who do so will only get rejection and chastening, not rewards. Now, for the Passover, and the Lord’s Table, based on the Passover, while ordaining it to be a perpetual feast for His people, we again see God’s same principle stated and recorded - there is a God given manner of doing it, and unless done in that manner, it is vain, unacceptable to God, and inconsequential for the participants.

        As has repeatedly been emphasized in all the previous articles related to the first section, Satan has been successful in subverting and corrupting God’s instructions for one reason, because God’s people have stopped feeding themselves on God’s Word; i.e., stopped studying it for themselves. Rather they are content with accepting and following, without cross-checking and verifying from God’s Word, whatever is told to them in the name of God. Since there is hardly anyone to stand up to him and challenge his corruption, therefore, Satan has cunningly and subtly been able to alter and modify God’s instructions, thereby has stolen way the blessings and power of God that was to come upon His people through the obedience of God's   Word, and has put the people on the path to eternal destruction, while they glibly and very erroneously think that they are serving God and are on the way to heaven - see and ponder over Isaiah 5:13 and Hosea 4:6.

        As we have seen earlier, participating in the Holy Communion is not a religious ritual or formality to be carried out perfunctorily, nor is it meant to make the participants the people of God and worthy of going to heaven. But it is for those who willingly have chosen to be committed disciples of the Lord, to live in obedience to His Word, and are even willing to pay a price for doing so. If you are a Christian Believer, and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually a Born-Again disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers, first check and test all teachings that you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

       प्रभु भोज के हमारे इस अध्ययन में, हमने देखा है कि प्रभु भोज की स्थापना प्रभु यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों के साथ फसह का भोज खाते समय और फसह की सामग्री के द्वारा की थी। प्रभु भोज का प्ररूप फसह है और उससे संबंधित परमेश्वर के निर्देश निर्गमन 12 में दिए गए हैं। हमने अपने पहले खण्ड, निर्गमन 12:1-14 से प्रभु भोज का उसके प्ररूप फसह से अध्ययन करते समय, फसह तथा प्रभु भोज के बारे में परमेश्वर की योजनाओं और उद्देश्यों के बारे में बहुत कुछ सीखा है। हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर इसे लेकर बहुत निश्चित और विशिष्ट रहा है, कि इनमें भाग किस प्रकार से लिया जाना है। उसने किसी भी मनुष्य को कभी भी यह अधिकार अथवा स्वतंत्रता नहीं दी है कि वे फसह और प्रभु भोज की उसकी दी हुई विधि में कोई फेर-बदल, कोई ‘सुधार’ कर सकें। हमारे पहले खण्ड के अंतिम पद, पद 14 में हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर ने इस एक-बार की घटना को निरंतर बने रहने वाले स्मारक में परिवर्तित कर दिया है, जिससे कि इन्हें छुटकारे और स्वतंत्रता के उत्सव के रूप में माना और मनाया जाता रहे - इस्राएलियों द्वारा शारीरिक रीति से मिस्र के दासत्व से छुटकारे, तथा आत्मिक रीति से प्रभु के शिष्यों, उसके नया-जन्म पाए हुए प्रतिबद्ध शिष्यों के द्वारा प्रभु की मेज़ के रूप में मानव जाति के शैतान और पाप से छुटकारे और स्वतंत्रता के लिए दिए गए बलिदान के स्मारक के रूप में, जब तक कि प्रभु और परमेश्वर का राज्य न आ जाएं। पद 14 में परमेश्वर ने, इन्हें स्मारक बनाने के द्वारा, ध्यान के केंद्र को तत्कालीन वर्तमान से भविष्य की ओर कर दिया, जिससे कि परमेश्वर के लोग, दोनों, इस्राएली तथा प्रभु यीशु के नया-जन्म पाए हुए शिष्य, यह ध्यान करते रहें, उन्हें याद रहे कि जो वे अपने आप, अपने लिए कभी नहीं करने पाए थे, उसे परमेश्वर ने अपनी विधि और अपने मार्गों के द्वारा कर दिया, और उन्हें उनके दासत्व से निकाल लिया।

        हमारे विचार के लिए दूसरे खण्ड, पद 15-20 में, परमेश्वर ने इस्राएलियों, तथा प्रभु के शिष्यों, दोनों को निर्देश दिए हैं कि वे किस प्रकार से आनंदपूर्वक परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए इस छुटकारे को मनाएं और इसमें भाग लें। एक बार फिर से ध्यान कीजिए, परमेश्वर ने बात को मनुष्यों की इच्छा, समझ, और पसन्द पर नहीं छोड़ा है; उसने न तो यह कहा और न ही अभिप्राय दिया है कि “तुम अपने आनन्द के लिए जैसे चाहे इस मना सकते हो” वरन उसने निश्चित और विशिष्ट निर्देश दिए हैं कि इसे कैसे मनाया जाना है। यही अपने आप में यह दिखाता है कि इसमें कोई भी फेर-बदल, किसी भी मनुष्य के द्वारा किसी भी आधार पर इसे ‘सुधारने’ का किया गया कोई भी प्रयास, एक प्रकार से यह कहना होगा कि “मैं परमेश्वर से बेहतर जानता और कर सकता हूँ; परमेश्वर से कुछ चूक हो गई थी, और अब मैं परमेश्वर की उस भूल को सुधार रहा हूँ!” यह स्वयं को परमेश्वर से उच्च करने के समान है - वही जो लूसिफर ने स्वर्ग में करना चाहा और निष्कासित कर दिया गया, गिराया गया और शैतान बन गया। शैतान, जो हमेशा ही परमेश्वर का विरोधी रहता है, परमेश्वर की सभी योजनाओं, उद्देश्यों, और विधियों को बिगाड़ता और हानि पहुँचाता रहता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3)। हमेशा बड़ी चतुराई से अपनी दुष्टता की योजनाओं को धर्म (जो हमेशा ही परमेश्वर नहीं, मनुष्य की ईजाद रहा है), गढ़ी हुई धार्मिकता, मनुष्य के अनुसार धार्मिकता के कार्यों, आदि (कुलुस्सियों 2:4, 8) के रूप में; तथा सदा ही परमेश्वर के सभी निर्देशों और वचन में कुछ जोड़ने-घटाने के साथ, कुछ गलत व्याख्याओं और दुरुपयोगों के साथ लोगों के सामने बड़े आकर्षक, तर्कपूर्ण, और मनोहर ढंग से रखता रहता है।

        शैतान की इस कार्य-विधि का एक बहुत सटीक उदाहरण है यह प्रभु की मेज़, हम जिसके बारे में अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। हम पहले खण्ड में देख चुके हैं कि किस प्रकार से शैतान ने चुपके से, बड़ी चतुराई, और दुष्ट शैतानी योजनाओं के साथ मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए उसके अर्थ, उद्देश्यों, और उपयोग को एक व्यर्थ, निष्फल रीति में बदल दिया है। यद्यपि अधिकांश ईसाई या मसीही समाज के लगभग सभी समुदायों और डिनॉमिनेशंस में इसे बड़ी श्रद्धा के साथ नियमित मनाया जाता है, किन्तु किसी को यह एहसास नहीं होता है कि क्योंकि परमेश्वर द्वारा उसके वचन में दी गई विधि का दृढ़ता से पालन करते रहने की बजाए, शैतान ने लोगों के द्वारा इसे मनाने की विधि में समुदायों और डिनॉमिनेशंस के मनुष्यों द्वारा गढ़े गए नियमों और कार्य-विधियों के अनुसार परिवर्तन करवा दिए हैं, इसलिए परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में अब उनका यह प्रभु भोज कितना खोखला और महत्वहीन हो गया है।

        जैसा कि हम पहले देख चुके हैं, प्रभु भोज में भाग लेना एक धार्मिक रीति या औपचारिकता नहीं है, और न ही यह भाग लेने वालों के लिए परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य तथा स्वर्ग जाने के योग्य होने के लिए है। किन्तु यह उनके लिए है जिन्होंने स्वेच्छा से प्रभु के योग्य जीवन बिताने उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में चलने का निर्णय लिया है, और इसके लिए कीमत चुकाने के लिए भी तैयार हैं। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

        यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

The Lord’s Table - To be Observed as Ordained by God

 

       In our study of the Holy Communion, we have seen that the Holy Communion was established by the Lord Jesus while eating the Passover with His disciples, using the elements of the Passover. The Passover is the antecedent of the Lord’s Table, its being ordained by God and the instructions related to it are given in Exodus 12. From Exodus 12:1-14, our first section for studying the Holy Communion through its precursor, we have seen many things that tell us about God’s plans and purpose for the Passover as well as the Lord’s Table, and about participating in them. God has been very specific, how this participation has to be done, and has not given any freedom or authority to any man to alter or modify His instructions about either the Passover, or about the Holy Communion. In the concluding verse of our first section, verse 14, we have seen that God has turned this one-time event into a perpetual memorial, to be kept and celebrated as a feast of deliverance and liberation - both literally by the Israelites, as the deliverance and liberation of Israel from Egypt - the house of bondage; and figuratively by the Lord’s disciples, as the Lord’s Table, commemorating the Lord Jesus’s sacrifice for the deliverance of mankind from the bondage of Satan and sin, to be celebrated by His committed, Born-Again disciples till He and God’s Kingdom come. In verse 14, God has changed the focus from the then current to the future, by making these into a memorial, meant to keep reminding the people of God, both the Israelites as well as the committed, Born-Again disciples of the Lord Jesus, of how God has done for them what they could never do by themselves, or, for themselves; He through His methods and ways has delivered them from their respective bondages.

        In our second section of Exodus 12, i.e., verses 15-20, God has given the instructions to the Israelites as well as the disciples of the Lord Jesus, about how to joyfully remember and partake of their respective feasts of God’s deliverance. Again, note, God has neither said nor implied that “you can keep doing it and enjoy yourself as you feel like” but has given a specific set of instructions about doing it. This by itself implies that any alterations, any modifications, any attempts by any person, on any pretext, is tantamount to saying, “I can do better than God; God happened to overlook something, and I am now rectifying God’s mistake!” It is exalting self above God - what Lucifer tried to do in heaven, was cast out of heaven and became Satan, forever the adversary of God, always subverting and sabotaging God’s plans, purposes, and methods about everything (2 Corinthians 11:3). Always very cunningly presenting his devious ploys to people in a very attractive, logical, and appealing manner; in the garb of religion (ever a man-made entity, never given by God), contrived religiosity, works of righteousness according to man, etc. (Colossians 2:4, 8); and, always with some additions or subtractions from God’s Word, with some misinterpretation and mis-application or the other of God’s instructions, for everything that God has said and given.

        A very apt illustration of this working pattern of Satan is the Lord’s Table, that we are studying about. We have already seen in the first section how Satan has subtly, cunningly, and deviously altered the meaning, purpose, and application of the Lord’s Table for the Christian Believers, and turned it into a vain, inconsequential ritual. Although it is regularly and quite reverentially being practiced in practically all of the sects and denominations of Christendom, but is being done without realizing how empty and meaningless it has become in God’s eyes, because Satan has cunningly induced people to alter and modify the Holy Communion and observe it according to the man-made rules and regulations of the various sects and denominations, instead of staying committed to God’s way given in His Word.

        अपने इस अध्ययन में अब हम निर्गमन 12:13 पर पहुँच गए हैं; इस पद, इसके अर्थ, और हमारे जीवनों में उसके पालन एवं महत्व को समझने के लिए हमें पहले के प्रतीकों और चिह्नों पर, तथा कुछ अन्य पर स्मरण और ध्यान करना पड़ेगा। प्रभु यहाँ पर फिर से इस्राएलियों से बल देकर वही बात दोहरा रहा है, जिसे वह पहले कह चुका है। यद्यपि परमेश्वर ने जो एक बार बोल दिया वह हो कर रहेगा (गिनती 23:19; मत्ती 24:35), परंतु परमेश्वर द्वारा किसी बात का दोहराया जाना इस बात का संकेत है कि वह बात बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है, अटल है (उत्पत्ति 41:32)। यहाँ पर परमेश्वर कह रहा है कि वे इस्राएली, अर्थात परमेश्वर के लोग, ही सुरक्षित रहेंगे, जो उस घर के अन्दर होंगे जिस घर पर बलि किए हुए मेमने का लहू लगा होगा। प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा का घर, उसका निवास स्थान, उसका मंदिर है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19)। किन्तु शैतान ने सभी “ईसाइयों” या “मसीहियों” को यह बात मानने के लिए बहका दिया है कि उनके द्वारा अपने समुदाय या डिनॉमिनेशन की कुछ रीतियों और परंपराओं को मान लेने के द्वारा वे वैसे ही “मसीही विश्वासी” या “नया जन्म” पाए हुए लोग बन जाते हैं, जैसा परमेश्वर चाहता है। यद्यपि यूहन्ना रचित सुसमाचार के आरंभ में ही - यूहन्ना 1:12-13 में बता दिया गया है कि यह किस प्रकार होता है, किसी समुदाय या डिनॉमिनेशन की रीतियों और परंपराओं के पालन के द्वारा नहीं, किन्तु व्यक्तिगत रीति से प्रभु यीशु को ग्रहण कर लेने और उसके नाम में विश्वास करने के द्वारा; किन्तु अधिकांश लोग इस पर कोई ध्यान नहीं देते हैं। अर्थात “घर” वही होगा, वही व्यक्ति सुरक्षित रहेगा जिस पर बलि के परमेश्वर के मेमने का लहू लगा होगा।

        पद 13 के अगले वाक्य में, परमेश्वर बताता है कि वह इसकी पुष्टि किस प्रकार से करेगा - किसी मनुष्य के द्वारा नहीं, न ही व्यक्ति के द्वारा किए गए कुछ कार्यों और पूरी की गई धार्मिक बातों के द्वारा, किन्तु केवल तब जब “वह लहू को देखेगा” के द्वारा!” कोई भी परमेश्वर को मूर्ख नहीं बना सकता है; उसकी आँखें प्रत्येक मनुष्य के हृदय अन्दर तक गहराई से जाकर देख सकती हैं (1 इतिहास 28:9), और वह प्रत्येक मनुष्य की वास्तविक दशा को भली-भांति जानता है। वह पहचान लेगा कि जो लहू लगाया गया है, वह वास्तव में उसके पुत्र प्रभु यीशु मसीह का लहू है जो सारी मानवजाति के उद्धार के लिए बलिदान हुआ; या यह रीतियों, रिवाजों, मनुष्य द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों, विधियों, और कार्यों, आदि को मिलाकर लहू के समान दिखने वाली कोई नकली वस्तु है जिसे लगाए गया है; जो लोगों को तो धोखा दे सकती है किन्तु परमेश्वर को नहीं। बहुत से लोग आज इस धोखे में जी रहे हैं कि क्योंकि वे अपनी, या अन्य मनुष्यों, या संसार की दृष्टि और रीति से पवित्र, धर्मी, तथा धर्म-शास्त्र के विद्वान और ज्ञाता भी हो सकते हैं, इसलिए वे “मसीही विश्वासी” भी हैं। लेकिन इनमें से कोई भी बात किसी को भी नया जन्म पाई हुई परमेश्वर की संतान तथा स्वर्ग में प्रवेश पाने के लिए योग्य नहीं बनाती है। यहूदियों और फरीसियों का विद्वान धार्मिक अगुवा, निकुदेमुस (यूहन्ना 3:1-10); वचन का ज्ञाता और परमेश्वर के लिए अत्यंत-उत्साही फरीसी, शाऊल (पौलुस), (प्रेरितों 9:1-6); जवान धर्मी व्यक्ति जो लड़कपन से आज्ञाओं को मानता आया था, किन्तु उसे फिर भी यह निश्चय नहीं था कि उसने उद्धार पा लिया है (मरकुस 10:17-30); इन पवित्र, धर्मी, वचन के ज्ञानी और विद्वान लोगों में से कोई भी नया जन्म पाया हुआ नहीं था। उनके धर्म, उनके द्वारा धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों, रीतियों, और परंपराओं के उत्साही निर्वाह, आदि, ने उन में से किसी को भी परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य तथा स्वर्ग में प्रवेश के लिए योग्य नहीं बनाया था; और वे सभी अपने अन्दर इस बात को जानते और समझते थे। उन सभी को अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करना, और प्रभु यीशु के उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करना था, ताकि नया जन्म प्राप्त हो और वे स्वर्ग में प्रवेश के योग्य हो सकें। प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने कहा है कि नया जन्म पाए बिना स्वर्ग में प्रवेश करना तो दूर, कोई उसे देख भी नहीं सकेगा (यूहन्ना 3:3, 5), और प्रभु की बात अटल, अपरिवर्तनीय है।

        अगले लेख में हम यहाँ से आगे बढ़ेंगे और जो हमने सीखा है, उन बातों को अपने जीवनों में व्यावहारिक रीत से लागू करने के बारे में देखेंगे; आज प्रभु भोज में सम्मिलित होने क लिए हमें किन बातों के बारे में मनन करना चाहिए।

        यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Exodus 12:13 (7) - The Lord’s Table - An Opportunity to Be Safe (1)

 

       In this study on the Holy Communion, through its antecedent, the Passover, we have been seeing God’s instructions about the Passover, because the Lord Jesus established the Communion while having the Passover meal with His disciples, using the elements of the Passover. Through them, through the symbolisms and signs in those instructions, we have been understanding the meanings and implications of the Lord’s Table, the Lord Jesus’s sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary, and the Born-Again Christian Believer’s participation in the Table. We need to do this since Satan has brought in many wrong teachings and false doctrines about everything related to God and His Word, including the Holy Communion. Satan has been able to do this because God’s people have become disinterested in personal Bible study, in spending time with God, and in learning what God wants them to learn and apply in their lives. Instead, they are now content with accepting without any cross-checking and verification, whatever is told to them from the pulpit in God’s name. People are more interested in pleasing and obeying men - their religious leaders, rather than pleasing God and obeying Him.

        We have now come to Exodus 12:13; pondering over the symbolisms we have seen earlier, and some others, will help us to understand this verse, and its application in our lives, in our participation in the Lord’s Table. The Lord is re-emphasizing to the Israelites what He has said before. Though what God says will always come to pass (Numbers 23:19; Matthew 24:35), the repetition of an instruction from God is an indicator of the importance of the thing and of it being irrevocable (Genesis 41:32). God says here that only those Israelites, the people of God, will be safe who are in the house that has the blood of the sacrificed lamb applied on it. Every Christian Believer is the house, the dwelling place, or the temple of God the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19). But Satan has beguiled the “Christians” into thinking and believing that their fulfilling certain rituals and traditions of their sects and denominations, makes them the “Christian Believers'', the “Born-Again” people that God wants. Although we have in the beginning of John’s Gospel - John 1:12-13, how this comes about - not by fulfilling sect and denomination rituals and traditions, but by personally receiving the Lord Jesus, and believing in His name, but not many pay heed to it. So, it is the person who has this sign of the blood of the sacrificed Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus, upon him, who will be the “house” which will remain safe.

        In the next sentence of verse 13, God tells how He will affirm this - not through any man, not because of the person having done certain things, fulfilled certain requirements, but only when “He sees the blood!” No one can fool God; His eyes penetrate and see deep inside into the heart of every man (1 Chronicles 28:9), and He well knows every person’s actual state. He will know if the blood applied is the actual blood of His Son, the Lord Jesus, sacrificed for the salvation of mankind; or is it a counterfeit substance made up of rituals, traditions, man-made rules, regulations and procedures, etc., appearing like the blood, which may fool and beguile men, but not God. Many people are living under the false assurance of being “Christian Believers” because of their being pious, religious, and maybe even because of being knowledgeable about the Scriptures in their own eyes or in the eyes of men and the world. But none of these things make anyone a Born-Again child of God, worthy of entering heaven - the learned leader and religious teacher of the Pharisees, Nicodemus (John 3:1-10); the learned and zealous for God Pharisee, Saul (Paul), before his encounter with the Lord Jesus and conversion on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-6); the Rich Young man, who had fulfilled the Commandments from his childhood, but still did not have the assurance that he was saved (Mark 10:17-30); none of these learned, pious, zealous, deeply religious people were saved, were Born Again. Their religion, their zealous observances of religious rituals, practices and traditions etc., had not made them acceptable to God and worthy of entering heaven; and they all knew and felt it within them. They all had to repent of their sins, accept the Lord Jesus as savior, to be Born Again and made worthy of entering into heaven. Lord Jesus has said that without being Born-Again, no one can even see the Kingdom of God, let alone enter into it (John 3:3, 5), and what the Lord has said is unchangeable and irrevocable.

        In the next article we will carry on from here and consider the practical application of these things that we have learnt, for us today; what we need to ponder over when participating in the Holy Communion.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

        समस्त मानव जाति के लिए, बिना किसी भी धर्म, जाति, मत, आयु, मान्यता आदि के कारण किसी अन्तर के, कि पापों स बचाया जाना, उद्धार पाना, केवल प्रभु यीशु पर विश्वास लाने ही के द्वारा है, और यह सभी के लिए मुफ़्त में उपलब्ध है। सुसमाचार कोई परम्परा, रीति, या विधि नहीं है जिसे पूरा करने से व्यक्ति "धर्मी" अथवा "धार्मिक" होने के किसी उच्च स्तर पर पहुँच जात है, जिससे कि परमेश्वर उसे अपने राज्य में प्रवेश दें के लिए बाध्य हो जाए। सुसमाचार, व्यक्ति के जीव में, उसके द्वारा अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करने, प्रभु यीशु से पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगने, और अपना जीवन प्रभु यीशु को समर्पित करने के साथ कार्यकारी एवँ प्रभावी होता है। आज से हम सच्चे और उद्धार देने वाले सुसमाचार के, शैतान द्वारा बिगाड़े जाने, भ्रष्ट किए जाने, और विभिन्न रीतियों से अप्रभावी किए जाने की युक्तियों के बारे में देखेंगे।

 सुसमाचार को अप्रभावी करने के लिए शैतान की गलत बातें

        हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि सुसमाचार का सार 1 कुरिन्थियों 15:1-4 में दिया गया है। तात्पर्य यह, कि जिस भी सुसमाचार प्रचार में इन पदों की बातें नहीं हैं, या इन पदों की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डाली गई हैं, अर्थात, इन पदों में से कुछ घटाया या बढ़ाया गया है, वह “सुसमाचार” भ्रष्ट है, बिगाड़ा हुआ है, अस्वीकार्य है, क्योंकि वह अप्रभावी है! ये पद और उनके तथ्य हमारे लिए सुसमाचार संबंधित हर शिक्षा को जाँचने और परखने की कसौटी प्रदान करते हैं।

        इन बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, हम संक्षेप में देखेंगे कि शैतान किस प्रकार से अपनी युक्तियों और मिथ्या बातों के द्वारा लोगों को अपनी दुष्ट चालों में फंसा लेता है, लोगों का ध्यान परमेश्वर तथा उसके वचन की बातों हटा देता है, और उन्हें बहकाकर अपनी बातों का पालन करने वाला बना लेता है; और इस प्रकार से सुसमाचार को लोगों के जीवनों में अप्रभावी कर देता है।

 सुसमाचार के बारे में सामान्यतः पाई जाने वाले गलत धारणाएं है:

        * सुसमाचार केवल गैर-मसीहियों के लिए, जो ईसाई नहीं हैं, उन्हीं के लिए है:

       वास्तविकता में सुसमाचार संसार के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए है, चाहे उसका धर्म, धारणा, मान्यता कुछ भी हो; ईसाइयों या मसीहियों के लिए भी (प्रेरितों 17:30-31)। सभी को उसके लिए व्यक्तिगत रीति से निर्णय लेना है।

        * ईसाई धर्म और उससे संबंधित रीतियों के निर्वाह से सुसमाचार का भी पालन हो जाता है:

       वास्तविकता में किसी भी प्रकार की कोई भी रीति के निर्वाह करने के द्वारा सुसमाचार का पालन नहीं होता है; क्योंकि सुसमाचार किसी औपचारिकता का पालन करना नहीं है। व्यक्ति के जीवन में सुसमाचार का कार्यकारी होना उसके सच्चे समर्पित मन से अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप और प्रभु यीशु से पापों के क्षमा माँगकर उसे समर्पित हो जाने से आरंभ होता है। यही बात इस बात को प्रकट करती है कि यह बारंबार दोहराया जाने वाला कोई धार्मिक अनुष्ठान नहीं है, वरन यदि सच्चे और समर्पित मन से किया जाए तो यह जीवन में एक बार लिया जाने वाला निर्णय है। सच्चे मन से सुसमाचार को स्वीकार करने से, वास्तविकता में मसीही विश्वासी होने का जीवन, मसीह को समर्पित और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता के जीवन का आरंभ होता है।

        * प्रभु यीशु मसीह से चंगाई प्राप्त करना भी सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करने और प्रभु का जन हो जाने का प्रमाण है:

       बाइबल का तथ्य है कि प्रभु यीशु ने उन सभी चंगाई दी जिन्होंने उससे माँगी, किसी से कोई भेदभाव नहीं किया (प्रेरितों 10:38)। किन्तु जिन्हें प्रभु ने चंगा किया, जिन की सहायता की, पिलातुस एक सामने खड़े होकर वे ही लोग बहुत ज़ोर देकर उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने की माँग करने लगे, और उसे क्रूस पर मरवा दिया। वे अपने स्वार्थ के लिए यीशु की ओर आकर्षित हुए और उसके जुड़े; उन्होंने सच्चे मन से प्रभु को समर्पण नहीं किया था; प्रभु के सच्चे विश्वासी जन नहीं बने थे। कुछ यही आज भी होता है, लोग प्रभु यीशु के नाम में चंगाई तो प्राप्त कर लेते हैं, किन्तु बहुत ही कम ऐसे होते हैं जो उसे समर्पण करते हैं और उसकी अधीनता में जीवन जीने का निर्णय करते हैं।

        इसी विषय पर कुछ अन्य बातों को हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

        यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप प्रभु परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार से संबंधित किसी गलत शिक्षाओं धारणाओं में न पड़े हों। यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए कि आपने सच्चे सुसमाचार पर सच्चा विश्वास किया है, आप सच्चे पश्चाताप और समर्पण तथा सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा के द्वारा परमेश्वर के जन बने हैं। न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाली ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें, यदि सही हों, तब ही उन्हें मानें, अन्यथा अस्वीकार कर दें।

        यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Satan’s Wrong Teachings To Render the Gospel Ineffective (1)

        In the previous articles we saw that the Gospel is, what it means; that it is an information from God for the entire mankind, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, age, belief etc. for being saved from sins freely through the Lord Jesus. It is not a tradition, ritual, or method, the fulfillment of which enables a person to reach a higher level of being “religious” or “righteous” so that God becomes compelled to give him an entrance into His kingdom. The Gospel becomes effective and working in a person’s life only by his repenting of his sins, asking the Lord Jesus to forgive him, and surrendering his life to the Lord Jesus. From today we will see the various ploys and devices that Satan uses to corrupt and spoil the true and life-giving Gospel, and render it ineffective.

 Satan’s Misinformation for Making the Gospel Ineffective

        We had seen in the previous article that the core of the Gospel is given to us in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. The implication is that any preaching of the Gospel, that does not incorporate the matter of these verses, or has things other than what these verses say, i.e., if anything has been added to or subtracted from this core of the Gospel, that ‘gospel’ is corrupted, has been spoilt, is unacceptable, and is ineffective. These verses provide us the standard to test and evaluate every teaching related to the Gospel.

        Keeping these things in mind, we will see, in brief, the various kinds of misinformation Satan has spread to entangle people in his deviousness, diverts people’s attention away from God and His Word, and beguiles them into following what he says; thereby rendering the Gospel ineffective in people’s lives.

 The commonly held misunderstandings about the Gospel and salvation are:

        * The Gospel is only for the non-Christians, and not for the Christians:

       The Biblical fact is that the Gospel is for every person of the world, irrespective of their religion, belief, concepts etc.; even for the “christians”, those who are born in “christian” families (Acts 17:30-31). Everyone has to make a personal decision about it.

        * By fulfilling the rites and rituals of the Christian religion one also fulfills the Gospel:

       The Biblical fact is that no fulfillment of any ritual fulfills the Gospel; since the Gospel is not a formality. The fulfillment of the Gospel in the life of a person is by his sincerely repenting of his sins, asking their forgiveness from the Lord Jesus, and surrendering one’s life to Him to live in obedience to Him and His Word. This by itself makes it clear that the sincere and true acceptance of the Gospel by a person can only be a one time event, it cannot be a ritual to be carried out repetitively. The acceptance of the Gospel begins the lifetime journey of living life as a submitted and committed disciple of Christ, of actually being a Christian.

        * Receiving healing from the Lord Jesus is also evidence of believing the Gospel and becoming a believer in Christ Jesus:

       The Biblical fact is that the Lord Jesus healed all those who asked Him to heal them, never made any differentiation of any kind (Acts 10:38). But the very people amongst whom He healed and helped, in front of Pilate were vociferously asking for Him to be crucified and put to death. They were attracted and attached to the Lord Jesus only for their selfish motives; they had never surrendered and committed themselves to the Lord with a sincere heart; they had never truly become His Believers. Much the same holds true even today, when people receive healing in the name of the Lord, but hardly ever surrender to Him and commit their lives to Him.

        We will see some other points on this same topic in the next article.

        If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
