कलीसिया को समझना – 6 – रूपक – 4

 

    प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी, उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही परमेश्वर की सन्तान हो जाता है (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), इसलिए वह स्वतः ही परमेश्वर की अन्य सभी सन्तानों, अर्थात अन्य नया-जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासियों की सहभागिता में भी आ जाता है। परमेश्वर के घराने का एक अंग होने के नाते, विश्वासी, अपने-आप ही, परमेश्वर की कलीसिया का अभी एक अंग हो जाता है। उसे ये विशेषाधिकार परमेश्वर की ओर से दिए गए हैं; इसका निहितार्थ है कि वह उनके लिए परमेश्वर को उत्तरदायी है। इस प्रकार, क्योंकि वह इन विशेषाधिकारों का भण्डारी है, इसलिए उसे इनके बारे में सीखना है ताकि भण्डारी होने के अपने दायित्व का निर्वाह उचित रीति से कर सके। हम परमेश्वर की कलीसिया और उसकी सन्तानों के साथ सहभागिता के बारे में बाइबल में कलीसिया के लिए उपयोग किये गए रूपकों के द्वारा सीख रहे हैं। पिछले लेखों में हम सात रूपकों की हमारी सूची के पहले तीन रूपकों को देख चुके हैं। आज हम इस सूची के चौथे रूपक, परमेश्वर की खेती होने के संबंध में देखेंगे।

(4) परमेश्वर की खेती 

    परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, पौलुस प्रेरित ने कुरिन्थुस के मसीही विश्वासियों की मण्डली को लिखी अपनी पहली पत्री में लिखा, “क्योंकि हम परमेश्वर के सहकर्मी हैं; तुम परमेश्वर की खेती और परमेश्वर की रचना हो” (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:9); इसे इसके संदर्भ में पद 1 से देखना अधिक उचित है। संदर्भ के साथ देखने से स्पष्ट हो जाता है कि पवित्र आत्मा पौलुस में होकर कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली के लोगों को उलाहना दे रहा है क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने आप को एकता में रखने की बजाए, अपने आप को उनके मध्य सेवकाई करने वाले सेवकों के अनुसार विभाजित करना आरंभ कर दिया था। विभाजन की इस प्रवृत्ति की भर्त्सना करते हुए, पवित्र आत्मा ने लिखवाया कि न तो पौलुस कुछ है, और न ही अपुल्लोस कुछ है। वे केवल प्रभु के सेवक हैं जिन्हें प्रभु ने अपने लोगों के मध्य कार्य के लिए प्रयोग किया, किन्तु उनके कार्य को सफल और फलवंत करने वाला परमेश्वर है, जिसके कार्य के बिना उन सेवकों का परिश्रम व्यर्थ है। इस बात को समझाने के लिए पवित्र आत्मा ने खेती-किसानी से संबंधित बातों को रूपकों के समान प्रयोग किया। पद 6-8 में मजदूरों द्वारा खेत में बीज के बोने और उगने वाली फसल के पौधों को सींचने वाले को मात्र सेवक, जिन्हें उनके परिश्रम के अनुसार प्रतिफल दिया जाएगा कहा गया है। साथ ही यह बताया गया है कि परमेश्वर ही उनके परिश्रम को स्वामी के लिए फसल का प्रत्यक्ष स्वरूप एवं परिणाम देने वाला है। और तब पद 9 में मण्डली या कलीसिया को परमेश्वर की खेती, परमेश्वर की रचना बताया गया है।

    इसी रूपक से संबंधित दो अलग-अलग दृष्टांत प्रभु यीशु ने मत्ती 13 अध्याय में भी दिए हैं; जिन्हें परस्पर एक समान लेकर भ्रम में नहीं पड़ना चाहिए। इन में से पहला, बीज बोने वाले का दृष्टांत, चार प्रकार की भूमियों के बारे में है। उन चारों भूमियों पर एक ही बीज बोने वाले - प्रभु यीशु (मत्ती 13:37) ने एक ही समान गुणवत्ता के बीज - परमेश्वर का वचन (लूका 8:11) बोया। किन्तु इन चार प्रकार की “भूमि” में से केवल एक ही प्रकार की भूमि “अच्छी” है, जिसमें बोया गया बीज अन्ततः फलवंत हुआ (मत्ती 13:23)। दूसरा दृष्टांत दो भिन्न प्रकार के बीजों के विषय में है। इस दृष्टांत की व्याख्या करते समय, प्रभु यीशु ने बताया कि “खेत” संसार है (मत्ती 13:38), और इसमें दो प्रकार के बीज बो दिए गए हैं - अच्छे बीज, अर्थात, परमेश्वर के राज्य की सन्तान, और बुरे बीज, अर्थात, दुष्ट यानि कि शैतान की सन्तान या लोग (मत्ती 13:38 )। परमेश्वर ने अपने खेत में अच्छे बीज बोए, किन्तु शैतान ने आकर अपने बुरे बीज भी उसी खेत में बो दिए (मत्ती 13:39), जिन्हें फिर जगत के अन्त, कटनी के समय, पृथक करके, अपने-अपने स्थानों पर पहुँचा दिया जाएगा (मत्ती 13:40-42)।

    प्रत्येक स्थानीय कलीसिया या मण्डली के लोग, प्रभु यीशु द्वारा दिए गए प्रथम दृष्टांत की चार प्रकार की भूमियों के समान हैं; जिन्हें परमेश्वर के द्वारा नियुक्त उसके सेवक प्रभु की ओर से, परमेश्वर के एक ही वचन से, एक ही समान शिक्षाएं देते हैं। किन्तु हर एक सदस्य उन शिक्षाओं को समान रीति से ग्रहण तथा अपने जीवन में उपयोग नहीं करता है, और परिणामस्वरूप, कलीसिया के विभिन्न लोगों में आत्मिकता के भिन्न स्तर पाए जाते हैं। यहाँ तक कि अन्त के समय जब प्रतिफल मिलने की बारी आएगी, तब ऐसे भी लोग होंगे जो परमेश्वर के राज्य में खाली हाथ प्रवेश करेंगे, क्योंकि उनका जीवन और कार्य किसी प्रतिफल के योग्य ही नहीं रहे; किन्तु उनका उद्धार या प्रभु की कलीसिया का जन होना उनसे कदापि नहीं छीना जाएगा (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15)। किन्तु उस समय की उनकी दश की कल्पना कीजिए, उन्हें स्वर्ग में प्रवेश तो मिला, किन्तु अनन्त काल के लिए वे खाली हाथ ही रहेंगे, उनके पास स्वर्ग में उपयोग के लिए कोई प्रतिफल नहीं होंगे, और न ही कोई अवसर होगा कि अपनी इस स्थिति को सुधार सकें। वे परमेश्वर की खेती तो हैं, किन्तु “अच्छी भूमि” नहीं बने, पृथ्वी पर अपने समय और योग्यताओं को प्रभु के लिए उपयोग करने के स्थान पर वे उन्हें नश्वर संसार और संसार के लोगों, अधिकारियों, तथा नाशमान बातों के लिए लगाते रहे, और प्रभु के खेती होते हुए भी अपने समय, अवसर, और वरदानों को व्यर्थ कर दिया (1 यूहन्ना 2:15-17)। 

    इसी प्रकार से, प्रभु द्वारा बताए गए दूसरे दृष्टांत के अनुरूप, प्रत्येक स्थानीय कलीसिया में प्रभु के लोग और उनके मध्य शैतान के द्वारा घुसा दिए गए लोग, अर्थात दोनों ही प्रकार के लोग होते हैं। और प्रभु उन शैतानी लोगों को जानता तथा पहचानता भी है; जगत के अन्त के समय के अलग किए जाने के समय वे सभी जो प्रभु की वास्तविक कलीसिया के नहीं हैं, अनन्त विनाश में भेज दिए जाएंगे।

    यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो ध्यान कीजिए कि एक बार फिर यह रूपक स्पष्ट कर देता है कि कोई भी मनुष्य अपनी अथवा किसी अन्य मनुष्य या संस्था की बातों के निर्वाह के द्वारा प्रभु की खेती, उसकी रचना नहीं बन सकता है। और न ही कोई परमेश्वर के वचन की अवहेलना करके, संसार, संसार के लोगों, संसार की बातों और लालसाओं को अपने जीवन में प्राथमिकता देकर, प्रभु की कलीसिया का सदस्य होने पर भी, प्रभु से कुछ प्रतिफल पा सकता है। प्रभु ही अपनी कलीसिया को बनाता है, उसकी देखभाल करता है। इसलिए ध्यान कीजिए कि प्रभु की कलीसिया और प्रभु के वचन की आज्ञाकारिता के प्रति, तथा अपने व्यक्तिगत जीवन में आप के द्वारा उसके वचन को दी गई प्राथमिकता की दशा क्या है? यदि कुछ सुधारे जाने की आवश्यकता है, तो अभी, समय और अवसर रहते यह कर लीजिए; विलंब या लापरवाही बहुत हानिकारक हो सकती है। प्रभु अपने विश्वासियों, अपनी वास्तविक कलीसिया के सच्चे सदस्यों को अपनी खेती, अपनी रचना के समान, अपने लिए भी, तथा उनके अनन्तकाल के लिए भी फलवन्त और आशीषित देखना चाहता है; यदि वे उसके वचन को अपने जीवनों में प्राथमिकता तथा आज्ञाकारिता का उचित स्थान प्रदान करते रहें। 

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Understanding the Church – 6 – Metaphors – 4

 

    Every Born-Again Christian Believer, since the moment of his salvation, becomes a child of God (john 1:12-13), therefore automatically comes into fellowship with all the other children of God, i.e., the other Born-Again Christian Believers. As a part of the household of God, the Believer automatically, is also a member of God’s Church. These privileges have been given to him by God; implying that he is accountable to God for them. Thus, since he is a steward of these privileges, therefore he must learn about them to be able to fulfil his stewardship worthily. We are learning about the Church of God and about fellowshipping with God’s other children, through the metaphors used in the Bible for the Church. From our list of seven metaphors, we have considered the first three metaphors till the previous articles. Today we will consider the fourth metaphor, being the Field of God.

(4) The Field of God

    Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Christian Believer’s Assembly in Corinth wrote, “For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building” (1 Corinthians 3:9); it is better to consider this verse in its context, from verse 1 onwards. When seen in its context, it becomes clear that the Holy Spirit through Paul is admonishing the Church in Corinth, because instead of keeping themselves in unity, they had started to divide themselves into factions, according to the name of the ministers of God serving amongst them. Castigating their tendency of segregating themselves, the Holy Spirit had it written that neither Paul nor Apollos are anything in themselves. They are merely ministers of the Lord, whom He has used amongst His people for some works; but the power to make their works successful and fruitful came from God, and without Him those ministers could not have accomplished anything. To make them understand this concept, the Holy Spirit used an activity related to farming and working in the fields as a metaphor. In verses 6-8 it says that those who plant the seeds in the field, and those who water the plants, take care of them, are all servants of the master, and each will receive his reward from God according to their diligence and labor. It is also written in verse 9 that the Church or the Assembly is the “field of God.”

    The Lord Jesus had given two parables related to this metaphor in Matthew 13; these two parables, their contents, and their implications should not be confused with each other. The first one of these parables, the parable of the “Sower of the Seed” is about the four kinds of soils. One and the same ‘Sower’ - the Lord Jesus (Matthew 13:37) sowed seed of the same quality - the Word of God (Luke 8:11) in all four soils. But of these four kinds of soils, only one kind was the good soil, in which the sown seed brought much returns (Matthew 13:23). The second parable is about two different kinds of seed. While explaining this parable, the Lord Jesus said that the “field” is the world (Matthew 13:38), and in this ‘field’ two kinds of seed have been sown - the good seed, i.e., the ‘sons of the kingdom’ of God, and Satan has come and sown his tares also amongst the good seed (Matthew 13:39). The results of these two kinds of seeds will be segregated at the end and each will be sent to its assigned place (Matthew 13:40-42).

    The members of every local Church or assembly are like the four soils of the first parable given by the Lord; everyone is given the same teachings from the same Word of God, by the same appointed minister of God to work amongst them. But not every member accepts and utilizes the teachings in a similar manner, therefore, in the local Church people of differing Spiritual maturity and growth are found in the Church. Even so, that at the end time, when it is time to give out the rewards to each one, there will be some who will enter the Kingdom of God empty handed, because their life and works were not worthy of any rewards; but their status of being a part of the Church of God, a saved person, will never be taken away from them (1 Corinthians 3:13-15). But just imagine their plight at that time, they will be allowed into heaven, but they will be empty-handed for eternity, they will have no rewards to utilize in heaven, and no opportunity to rectify this situation. They were and are the ‘field of God’ but they never became the good soil. They had not utilized their time and opportunities on earth for the work of the Lord; rather, used their time, talents, and opportunities for the temporal gains of the perishing world, for the people of the world, to please their worldly authorities, and despite being the ‘field of God’ they wasted away their gifts, talents, time, and opportunity (1 John 2:15-17).

    Similarly, in accordance with the second parable of the Lord, in every local Church, amongst the people of God, satanic people have also been infiltrated, i.e., both kinds of people are found in every local Church. The Lord knows about them, recognizes them; and at the end time, all those not actually a part of the true Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, will be sent to their eternal destruction.

    If you are a Christian Believer, then take note that this metaphor too makes it very clear that no person can ever become a part of God’s field, through fulfilling any of his own, or any other person’s or institution’s contrived rules, regulations, and ceremonies. Neither can anyone by ignoring God’s Word, giving more importance to the world, things of the world, and the people of the world, gain any heavenly rewards, despite being a part of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Lord who is building His Church, is looking after it. Therefore, take note and do a careful evaluation - in the Church of the Lord Jesus, what is your status of faith and obedience to the Lord and His Word? Who or what has the primacy in your life, the things of the world or the work of the Lord? If there is something that needs to be corrected, then do it now while you have the time and opportunity; any delay or procrastination can have irreversible, eternally disastrous, and very painful consequences. The Lord wants to see His ‘field,’ His people, fruitful now and for eternity, both for Him as well as for themselves; which comes about by their giving Him and His Word the primary position and required obedience in their lives.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    क्योंकि प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी, परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दी गई हर एक बात का भण्डारी भी है, और उसके लिए परमेश्वर को जवाबदेह है, इसलिए उसे इसका निर्वाह करने का भरसक प्रयास करना चाहिए। भण्डारी होने की ज़िम्मेदारी को उचित रीति से निर्वाह करने के लिए, विश्वासी को यह जानना अनिवार्य है कि वह किस का भण्डारी है। परमेश्वर द्वारा विश्वासियों को प्रदान की गई विभिन्न बातों में से एक है उसका परमेश्वर की कलीसिया का सदस्य होना तथा अन्य मसीही विश्वासियों के साथ उसकी सहभागिता। हम इनके बारे में बाइबल में कलीसिया के लिए दिए गए विभिन्न रूपकों के द्वारा सीख रहे हैं। पिछले लेख में हम ने इन में से पहले रूपक, कलीसिया और विश्वासियों का परमेश्वर का घराना होने को देखा था। पिछले लेख में हम इस सूची के पहले रूपक, परमेश्वर का परिवार होने को देख चुके हैं। आज हम दूसरे रूपक, उनका परमेश्वर का निवास-स्थान, घर, या मन्दिर होने के संबंध में देखेंगे।

(2) परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान या मन्दिर

     कलीसिया और उसके सदस्यों के परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान, उसका मन्दिर होने से संबंधित परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में से कुछ पदों को देखिए:

• “क्या तुम नहीं जानते, कि तुम परमेश्वर का मन्दिर हो, और परमेश्वर का आत्मा तुम में वास करता है? यदि कोई परमेश्वर के मन्दिर को नाश करेगा तो परमेश्वर उसे नाश करेगा; क्योंकि परमेश्वर का मन्दिर पवित्र है, और वह तुम हो” (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16-17)।

• “क्या तुम नहीं जानते, कि तुम्हारी देह पवित्रात्मा का मन्दिर है; जो तुम में बसा हुआ है और तुम्हें परमेश्वर की ओर से मिला है, और तुम अपने नहीं हो?” (1 कुरिन्थियों 6:19)। 

• “और मूरतों के साथ परमेश्वर के मन्दिर का क्या सम्बन्ध? क्योंकि हम तो जीवते परमेश्वर का मन्दिर हैं; जैसा परमेश्वर ने कहा है कि मैं उन में बसूंगा और उन में चला फिरा करूंगा; और मैं उन का परमेश्वर होऊंगा, और वे मेरे लोग होंगे” (2 कुरिन्थियों 6:16)।

• “कि यदि मेरे आने में देर हो तो तू जान ले, कि परमेश्वर का घर, जो जीवते परमेश्वर की कलीसिया है, और जो सत्य का खंभा, और नेव है; उस में कैसा बर्ताव करना चाहिए” (1 तीमुथियुस 3:15)।

• “पर मसीह, पुत्र के समान, उसके घर का अधिकारी है, और उसका घर हम हैं, यदि हम साहस पर, और अपनी आशा के घमण्ड पर अन्त तक दृढ़ता से स्थिर रहें” (इब्रानियों 3:6)।

 

    उपरोक्त पदों में प्रभु की कलीसिया के लोगों, अर्थात, उसके वास्तविक मसीही विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर का, पवित्र आत्मा का, और प्रभु यीशु का मन्दिर, या निवास स्थान, या घर कह कर संबोधित किया गया है। किसी का ‘निवास स्थान’ होने के सामान्य और स्वाभाविक प्रयोग से यह प्रकट है कि उस का निवास स्थान वह स्थान होता है जहाँ वह निवास करता है, रहता है; जो उसका अपना होता है, जहाँ वह बिना किसी औपचारिकता के खुले दिल से रह सकता है, अपनापन और शांति महसूस कर सकता है। और, मन्दिर वह स्थान होता है जहाँ परमेश्वर की आराधना और उपासना की जाती है, उसे आदर और महिमा दी जाती है, तथा जो उससे मिलने का स्थान होता है। तात्पर्य यह कि प्रभु यीशु की वास्तविक कलीसिया का प्रत्येक सदस्य त्रिएक परमेश्वर का अपना निवास स्थान है, जहाँ पर वह बिना किसी औपचारिकता के, खुले दिल से रह सकता है, व्यवहार कर सकता है, अपनापन और शांति महसूस कर सकता है। एक ऐसा स्थान जहाँ त्रिएक परमेश्वर को, कलीसिया के उस सदस्य से जिसमें वह निवास कर रहा है, योग्य आदर और सम्मान मिलता है, जिसके मन से परमेश्वर की सच्ची आराधना आत्मा और सच्चाई से निकलती है (यूहन्ना 4:23-24), और जहाँ परमेश्वर अपनी उस संतान के साथ मिल सकता है, उससे संगति और सहभागिता रख सकता है (यूहन्ना 14:21, 23)। प्रत्येक विश्वासी को अपने जीवन में परमेश्वर के लिए इन बातों को सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए; और जो अपने आप को विश्वासी समझते हैं, उन्हें अपने जीवनों को जाँच कर देखना चाहिए कि क्या यह हो पाना उनके जीवनों और व्यवहार द्वारा संभव है?

    इसी बात से स्पष्ट और प्रकट है कि परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान केवल वही हो सकता है जिसे परमेश्वर अपना निवास स्थान, अपना मन्दिर बनाता है। किसी भी मनुष्य द्वारा अपने ऊपर “मसीही” अर्थात, “परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान; परमेश्वर का मन्दिर” लेबल लगा लेने से - चाहे यह लेबल कितना भी प्रमुख करके क्यों न लगाया जाए, या उसका कितना भी जोर-शोर से प्रदर्शन और प्रचार क्यों न किया जाए, वह व्यक्ति वास्तविकता में परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान या मन्दिर नहीं बन जाता है। उसके इस खोखले दावे की पोल देर-सवेर खुल ही जाएगी। जिसे परमेश्वर अपना निवास स्थान, अपना मन्दिर स्वीकार करे, वही इस आदर को प्राप्त करेगा, अन्य सभी तिरस्कृत कर दिए जाएंगे (मत्ती 15:13)। वास्तविकता में प्रभु की कलीसिया का सदस्य वही हो सकता है जिसे प्रभु परमेश्वर सदस्य स्वीकार करे। परमेश्वर मानवीय विधि-विधानों से बंधा हुआ नहीं है कि लोग अपने द्वारा स्थापित कुछ मान्यताओं और धारणाओं को, अपनी बनाई गई कुछ रीतियों को पूरा करें, और परमेश्वर उन्हें अपनी कलीसिया में सम्मिलित करने के लिए बाध्य हो जाए। परमेश्वर उन्हें ही स्वीकार करता है जो उसके मानकों, उसके निर्देशों के अनुसार उसके साथ जुड़ते हैं।  

    परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान, उसका मन्दिर होने से संबंधित ये पद हमें सिखाते हैं कि परमेश्वर अपने निवास स्थान की रक्षा करता है, उसे दूषित करने या हानि पहुँचाने वाले को परमेश्वर दण्ड देता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16-17)। उसका निवास स्थान होने का आदर यह भी दिखाता है कि अब वह व्यक्ति अपना नहीं रहा है, वरन परमेश्वर के स्वामित्व की अधीनता में आ गया है (1 कुरिन्थियों 6:19)। परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान, उसका मन्दिर होने के नाते, परमेश्वर अपने लोगों से एक विशिष्ट व्यवहार, संसार से भिन्न जीवन शैली की अपेक्षा करता है (1 तीमुथियुस 3:15), जिसके लिए व्यक्ति को साहस और आशा को दृढ़ता से अंत तक थामे रहना होगा (इब्रानियों 3:6)। परमेश्वर द्वारा अपनी कलीसिया के प्रत्येक जन से रखी जाने वाली इन अपेक्षाओं, उन को इस महान स्तर और आदर के प्रदान किए जाने के साथ ही, उन्हें एक ऐसी भी बात भी साथ दे दी जाती है, जो कोई मनुष्य कभी भी अपने किसी भी प्रयास या प्रयोजन से कदापि प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता है - “...जैसा परमेश्वर ने कहा है कि मैं उन में बसूंगा और उन में चला फिरा करूंगा; और मैं उन का परमेश्वर होऊंगा, और वे मेरे लोग होंगे” (2 कुरिन्थियों 6:16)। जरा कल्पना कीजिए, सर्वसामर्थी सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर अपनी कलीसिया के लोगों के अंदर बसेगा, उनके मध्य में, उनके साथ चला फिरा करेगा, और उन्हें अपने लोग बना कर रखेगा; “सो हम इन बातों के विषय में क्या कहें? यदि परमेश्वर हमारी ओर है, तो हमारा विरोधी कौन हो सकता है?” (रोमियों 8:31)।

    यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो क्या आप यह सच्चे मन और पूरी ईमानदारी से कह सकते हैं कि परमेश्वर आपके अंदर निवास करता है, और आप में एक अपनापन और शांति महसूस करता है? क्या आपके जीवन और व्यवहार से आपका संसार से पृथक होकर परमेश्वर को आदर और महिमा देना सर्वदा प्रकट होता रहता है? क्या आपके मन से परमेश्वर की आराधना उस “आत्मा और सच्चाई” से निकलती है जिसकी वह लालसा रखता है, या आप बस उस से कुछ-न-कुछ माँगते ही रहते हैं, और किसी-न-किसी बात को लेकर कुड़कुड़ाते ही रहते हैं, या शिकायत ही करते रहते हैं? क्या आप अपने आप को अपना नहीं, परमेश्वर का समझते हैं, और परमेश्वर की इच्छा तथा आप से उसकी अपेक्षाओं को पूरा करने में प्रयासरत रहते हैं? क्या आप अपनी मसीही गवाही को बनाए रखने के लिए, बिना कोई समझौता किए साहस और दृढ़ता से हर परिस्थिति को सहने के लिए तैयार रहते हैं? क्या इस दूसरे रूपक की शिक्षाओं के समक्ष आप अपने को प्रभु की सच्ची कलीसिया का वास्तविक सदस्य देखते हैं? यदि नहीं, तो प्रभु अभी आपको अवसर प्रदान कर रहा है कि अपनी गलतफहमी से निकल कर, उसके साथ अपने संबंधों को ठीक कर लें; वास्तविकता में परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान, उसका मन्दिर बन जाएं, और अपने अनन्तकाल को सुनिश्चित एवं आशीषित कर लें।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Understanding the Church – 5 – Metaphors – 3

 

    Since every Born-Again Christian Believer is a steward of whatever God has given to him, and is accountable to God for this stewardship, therefore, he ought to fulfil it as best as he can. To be able to fulfil his stewardship worthily, the Believer has to know about what he is steward of. Amongst the various things given by God to the Believer, the one we are studying presently is his being a member of God’s Church and his fellowship with the other Christian Believers. We are learning about these through the various metaphors used in the Bible for the Church of God. In the previous article, we have considered the first one, the Church and Believers being the family of God. Today we will consider the second metaphor, of their being the Temple, or Dwelling Place, or House of God.

 

(2) The Temple or Dwelling Place of God

    Consider some verses about the members of the Church, the Christian Believers being the dwelling place of God, His Temple:

• “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

• “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19).

• “but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).

• “but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end” (Hebrews 3:6).

 

    In the above Bible verses, the members of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, i.e., the true Christian Believers, have been addressed as the Temple of the Lord, or the dwelling place, or house of God. The common sense understanding regarding someone’s dwelling place is that is the place where that person resides, a place that belongs to him, where he can freely and openly live without any formalities, feel a sense of belonging and of the place being his own personal place, where he can be comfortable and at peace. Similarly, a temple is a place where God is worshipped, given honor and glory, a place to meet God. Therefore, the implication of these metaphors is that every actual member of the true Church of the Lord Jesus is the dwelling place of the Triune God, where God can reside freely and openly without any formalities, feel fully ‘at home’, feel comfortable and at peace. Every member of the Church is to be a temple of God, where God is given His due honor and glory, and is worshipped in truth, from the heart (John 4:23-24), where God can meet with His child, have fellowship with Him (John 14:21, 23). Every Believer should ensure that this is true for God in their lives; and those who consider themselves as Believers, should examine their lives to see whether this is possible or not, through their lives and behavior?

    It is clear from this that only those whom God wants to make His dwelling place, His temple, can be so. A person’s taking upon himself the name or label of being a “Christian” i.e., “The Dwelling Place of God, The Temple of God” does not actually make him that - no matter how prominently that label may be displayed, with whatever pomp and show that label may be advertised, and whatever seemingly pious and religious activities may have been associated with the taking up and proclamation of the label. Sooner or later, the empty claims of these vain self-acquired labels will lie exposed, and the facts will come out. Only the person whom the Lord God accepts as His dwelling place or Temple can actually be it; rest everyone else will be rejected and cast away (Mathew 15:13). So, only the person whom God accepts as a member of His Church, can actually and truly be a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. God is not tied down to any man-made rites, rituals, and ceremonies, that people may fulfil, or to some contrived concepts and notions through which God would come under compulsion to accept them into His Church. God accepts only those, who join Him and His Church through the way given by Him, according to His standards and criteria.

    The verses related to being the dwelling place and temple of God teach us that God protects His dwelling place, and punishes those who defile or harm it (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). Being given the honor of becoming the dwelling place of God also shows that henceforth that person is no longer his own, but fully belongs to the Lord God (1 Corinthians 6:19). From those who are God’s dwelling place, His temple, God expects a particular manner of living and behavior, a life lived differently from the people of the world (1 Timothy 3:15). Those who have been made God’s dwelling place and temple, are expected to hold fast to this confidence and hope firmly till the end (Hebrews 3:6). Along with these expectations of God from the people belonging to His Church, besides this great honor and privilege being granted to them, there is another thing that is granted to them, that no man can ever acquire for himself through any efforts of any kind - “...As God has said: I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people” (2 Corinthians 6:16). Just imagine this high privilege, way beyond any human capability, that the omnipotent creator God will dwell amongst His people, will walk among them, and will keep them as His people; “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).

    If you are a Christian Believer, then can you say with heartfelt conviction and with full honesty that God dwells in you, feels ‘at home’ in you, feels comfortable and at peace in you? Does your life and behavior always and continually demonstrate your being separate from the world, and living a life that honors God, glorifies Him? The worship of God that you offer, is it really in “Spirit and truth”, as He desires it to be; or is it a mere formality? Do you always only keep asking and begging for things from Him; keep grumbling about one thing or the other before Him; keep complaining to Him about things in your life? Or, do you converse with Him as you do with a close friend and openly share whatever is on our heart with Him? Do you consider yourself not our own, but belonging to the Lord, and strive to fulfil God’s will and His expectations from you? Are you willing to suffer any and all situations to live up to your Christian life and witness, without any compromise? Having considered the Bible verses related to this second metaphor, do you unhesitatingly consider yourself an actual member of the true Church of the Lord Jesus? If not, God is giving you the time and opportunity to come out of your contrived concepts and assumptions, rectify your relationship with Him and come into the right relationship with Him; to factually become God’s dwelling place and temple, and secure your eternity and eternal blessings.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    प्रत्येक नया जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी, जो कुछ भी उसे परमेश्वर ने दिया है, उसका भण्डारी है, और इसलिए उसके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि परमेश्वर ने जो दिया है, वह उसके बारे में सीखे। वर्तमान में हम प्रभु यीशु की कलीसिया और अन्य विश्वासियों के साथ सहभागिता, अर्थात, परमेश्वर के उस परिवार के बारे में सीख रहे हैं, जिस में परमेश्वर ने विश्वासी को रखा है। बाइबल में दिए गए कलीसिया के रूपकों में होकर हम उसकी कलीसिया के लिए प्रभु के प्रयोजन एवं उद्देश्यों को समझने का प्रयास करेंगे। बाइबल में कलीसिया के लिए उपयोग किये गए विभिन्न रूपक यह सीखने और समझने में हमारी सहायता करते हैं कि परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में कलीसिया क्या है, और विश्वासियों को कलीसिया में किस प्रकार से व्यवहार करना चाहिए। हमारी शिक्षा के लिए इन रूपकों को किसी विशेष क्रम में नहीं लिया अथवा रखा गया है, सभी रूपक समान ही महत्वपूर्ण हैं, सभी में मसीही जीवन से संबंधित कुछ आवश्यक शिक्षाएं हैं। जिस रूपक को हम आज देखेंगे, वह है कलीसिया का परमेश्वर का परिवार होना।

(1) प्रभु का परिवार

    प्रभु यीशु ने, और परमेश्वर पिता तथा पवित्र आत्मा, सभी ने प्रभु के लोगों को, उसकी कलीसिया को, प्रभु का परिवार कहा है। इस संदर्भ में बाइबल के कुछ पद देखिए:

• प्रभु यीशु ने कहा: “और कौन है मेरे भाई? और अपने चेलों की ओर अपना हाथ बढ़ा कर कहा; देखो, मेरी माता और मेरे भाई ये हैं। क्योंकि जो कोई मेरे स्वर्गीय पिता की इच्छा पर चले, वही मेरा भाई और बहिन और माता है” (मत्ती 12:49-50)।

• परमेश्वर पिता कहता है: “इसलिये प्रभु कहता है, कि उन के बीच में से निकलो और अलग रहो; और अशुद्ध वस्तु को मत छूओ, तो मैं तुम्हें ग्रहण करूंगा। और तुम्हारा पिता होऊंगा, और तुम मेरे बेटे और बेटियां होगे: यह सर्वशक्तिमान प्रभु परमेश्वर का वचन है” (2 कुरिन्थियों 6:17-18)। 

• परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने लिखवाया: 

• “परन्तु जितनों ने उसे ग्रहण किया, उसने उन्हें परमेश्वर के सन्तान होने का अधिकार दिया, अर्थात उन्हें जो उसके नाम पर विश्वास रखते हैं” (यूहन्ना 1:12)। 

• “आत्मा आप ही हमारी आत्मा के साथ गवाही देता है, कि हम परमेश्वर की सन्तान हैं। और यदि सन्तान हैं, तो वारिस भी, वरन परमेश्वर के वारिस और मसीह के संगी वारिस हैं, जब कि हम उसके साथ दुख उठाएं कि उसके साथ महिमा भी पाएं” (रोमियों 8:16-17)।  

• “इसलिये तुम अब विदेशी और मुसाफिर नहीं रहे, परन्तु पवित्र लोगों के संगी स्वदेशी और परमेश्वर के घराने के हो गए” (इफिसियों 2:19)।

     उपरोक्त पदों से हम सीखते हैं कि प्रभु की कलीसिया के सदस्य होने का एक परिणाम है कि मसीही विश्वासी तुरंत ही परमेश्वर की संतान, उसके परिवार के अंग भी बन जाते हैं। उन्हें यह आदर उनके किसी कार्य अथवा योग्यता के आधार पर नहीं, और न ही उसके किसी परिवार-विशेष में जन्म  लेने के कारण, अथवा किसी धर्म-विशेष के अंतर्गत जन्म लेने के कारण होता है; वरन केवल उनके द्वारा किए गए पापों से पश्चाताप, और प्रभु पर विश्वास के कारण उन्हें परमेश्वर द्वारा प्रदान किया जाता है (यूहन्ना 1:12; इफिसियों 2:19)। परमेश्वर की संतान बनने पर यह मसीही विश्वासी का कर्तव्य है कि वह सँसार से और सँसार की अशुद्धता से अपने आप को पृथक रखे (2 कुरिन्थियों 5:15, 17); और परमेश्वर उनसे एक पिता के समान (2 कुरिन्थियों 6:17-18); तथा प्रभु यीशु अपने परिवार के सदस्यों के समान (मत्ती 12:49-50) उससे व्यवहार करता है। वे, जो पृथ्वी के अपने परिवार से बढ़कर महत्व परमेश्वर के परिवार का सदस्य होने को देते हैं, उन्हें इस पृथ्वी पर भी और स्वर्ग में भी उत्तम प्रतिफल मिलता है, वे अनेकों परिवारों के सदस्य बन जाते हैं (मरकुस 10:29-31)। लेकिन साथ ही उनका यह दायित्व भी है कि वे अपने इस आत्मिक परिवार के गौरव और गरिमा को बना कर रखें, उसकी भलाई और उन्नति के लिए कार्य करें, आपस में प्रेम और एक-मनता को बनाएं रखें, तथा ध्यान रखें कि उनके जीवन और व्यवहार के कारण न तो प्रभु पर और न ही इस आत्मिक परिवार की कोई बदनामी हो।

    प्रकट है कि कोई भी अपने आप को तब तक परमेश्वर की संतान, प्रभु के परिवार का सदस्य नहीं बना सकता है, जब तक परमेश्वर स्वयं उसे यह आदर प्रदान न करे। किसी के भी द्वारा, किसी भी मानवीय योजना अथवा विधि से यह कर पाना संभव नहीं है। इस प्रकार से परमेश्वर की संतान होने के इस रूपक से हम कलीसिया के लिए परमेश्वर के प्रयोजन, उसके उद्देश्य के विषय क्या सीखते हैं? थोड़ा थम कर, रोमियों 8:16-17 पर कुछ ध्यान से विचार, और इसके निहितार्थ पर गंभीरता से मनन कीजिए। क्या आप कभी कल्पना भी कर सकते हैं कि परमेश्वर आपको आपकी किसी भी योग्यता, गुण, अथवा कार्य के लिए मसीह यीशु का संगी वारिस, उसकी महिमा का संभागी बना सकता है? किन्तु आपके द्वारा अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करने, प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करने और अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करने के द्वारा परमेश्वर आपको कैसा अद्भुत, कल्पना से भी कहीं बढ़कर आदर देना चाहता है - आपको, उसकी कलीसिया का सदस्य, अपने स्वर्गीय राज्य में मसीह यीशु का संगी वारिस और मसीह की महिमा का संभागी बनाना चाहता है।

    यदि आप मसीही हैं तो आपके अपने आप को जाँचने के लिए कुछ बातें इस रूपक से सामने आती हैं: क्या आप परमेश्वर की संतान, उसकी कलीसिया के सदस्य, पापों से पश्चाताप और प्रभु में विश्वास के द्वारा बने हैं; या किसी अन्य मानवीय प्रक्रिया के निर्वाह अथवा आधार पर अपने आप को प्रभु की कलीसिया का सदस्य समझते हैं? परमेश्वर की संतान होने के नाते क्या आप स्वर्गीय पिता परमेश्वर की इच्छा पर चलते हैं? क्या आप ने अपने आप को संसार और संसार की बातों से पृथक किया है? परमेश्वर के घराने का व्यक्ति होने के नाते आपको अपने दायित्वों का निर्वाह करना भी अनिवार्य है, अन्यथा संसार के लोगों के समान आपका जीवन और व्यवहार न केवल आपके वास्तविक मसीही विश्वासी होने पर, वरन आप अपना अनन्तकाल कहाँ बिताएंगे, पर भी एक बड़ा प्रश्न चिह्न लगाता है, जिसका अभी समय तथा अवसर रहते निवारण करना आप के लिए अनिवार्य है।

Understanding the Church – 4 – Metaphors – 2

 

    Every Born-Again Christian Believer is a steward of whatever God has given to him, and it is essential for him to learn about what God has given to him.  Presently we are learning about the Church of the Lord Jesus and towards his fellowship with other Believers, i.e., the family of God in which God has placed the Believers. The various metaphors used in the Bible for the Church help us in learning and understanding what the Church is in the eyes of God, and how the Believers are to conduct themselves in the Church. For our learning here, these metaphors have not been placed or taken up in any particular order; every metaphor is as important as any other, and every one of them brings forth some teaching or the other about the Christian Believer’s life. The metaphor, that we will consider today is that of the Church being the family of God.

 

(1) The Family of God

    The Lord Jesus Christ, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit, all have called the people of the Lord, His Church, as members of the family of the Lord God. Consider some related verses from the Bible:

• The Lord Jesus said: “And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother."” (Matthew 12:49-50).

• God the Father says: “Therefore Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:17-18).

• God the Holy Spirit had it written:

• “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

• “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together” (Romans 8:16-17).

• “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19).

    From these verses we learn that one of the results of being a member of the Lord’s Church is that the Christian Believer immediately becomes a child of God and a member of God’s family. This honor is bestowed upon them by God, not because they have done anything or because of any of their abilities, nor because of their being born in a particular family or under a particular religion; but only because they have repented of their sins and accepted the Lord Jesus as their Savior and Lord (John 1:12; Ephesians 2:19). Having become a child of God, it is the Christian Believer’s responsibility to keep himself away from mixing with the world, and the defilement of the world (2 Corinthians 5:15, 17); and then God treats them as a Father (2 Corinthians 6:17-18), and the Lord Jesus accepts them as members of His family (Matthew 12:49-50). They who prefer being members of God’s family over their earthly family, are richly rewarded on earth as well as in heaven, through becoming members of numerous families (Mark 10:29-31). But then it is also their responsibility that they maintain the honor and dignity of this spiritual family, work for its good and growth, maintain mutual love and one-mindedness, and be careful that because of their life and behavior the reputation of this spiritual family is not tarnished in any manner.

    It is evident that no one can make himself a child of God, a member of the family of the Lord Jesus, unless God Himself accords this status to him. It is not possible for anyone to attain to this status by any human method or plan. So, what do we learn about the purpose and work of God through this metaphor of being a child of God? Stop for a while and ponder deeply over Romans 8:16-17, and its implications. Can you even imagine that God, because of any of your abilities, characteristics, or works could have made you a joint-heir with Christ and let you share His glory? But because of your repenting of sins, accepting the Lord Jesus as your Savior and Lord, surrendering your life to Him, God is now giving you this wonderful and exalted status way beyond even your wildest imagination - God wants to make you, a member of His Church, a joint heir with Christ and let you share His glory in heaven.

    If you are a Christian, then this metaphor puts forth some things for you to examine yourself:  have you become a child of God, a member of His Church because of repenting of your sins, accepting Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, surrendering your life to Him to live in obedience to Him and His Word? Or, is it that because of having fulfilled certain rites, rituals and ceremonies you are assuming yourself to be an actual member of the Lord’s Church? Have you separated yourself away from the things and defilements of this world? Being members of the household of God, it is necessary for you to fulfil your God given responsibilities; else your life and behavior similar to any other person of the world will bring a big question mark not only on your actually being a Christian Believer, but also on where you will be for eternity, and it is essential to resolve this now, while there is time and opportunity.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
