पाप का समाधान - उद्धार - 17

    हम उन गुणों को, और उनके कारणों को देखते आ रहे हैं, जो उस सिद्ध मनुष्य में होने चाहिएं जो मनुष्यों के पाप का समाधान और निवारण करने के लिए अपना बलिदान दे। हमने देखा कि ऐसा मनुष्य स्वाभाविक प्रणाली से मानव जन्म लेने वाला नहीं हो सकता है; किन्तु प्रभु यीशु के मानव स्वरूप में अवतरित होकर पृथ्वी पर आने के लिए परमेश्वर ने एक विशेष प्रयोजन किया, और उन्होंने मनुष्य के रूप जन्म तो लिया, किन्तु अन्य सभी मनुष्यों के समान उनके मानव शरीर में पाप का दोष और स्वभाव में पाप करने की प्रवृत्ति नहीं थी। वे पूर्णतः परमेश्वर थे, यद्यपि मनुष्य रूप में अवतरित होते समय उन्होंने अपने आप को अपने परमेश्वरत्व से शून्य कर लिया था; और पूर्णतः मनुष्य भी। उन्होंने सामान्य, साधारण मनुष्यों के समान ही सब कुछ सहते हुए, सभी अनुभवों में से होकर निकलते हुए जीवन बिताया, किन्तु निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, निर्दोष, पवित्र, और सिद्ध बने रहे। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि उन्होंने स्वेच्छा से सभी मनुष्यों के बदले उनके पापों के दण्ड को सहने, यातनाएं सहने और अपने आप को बलिदान करने को स्वीकार किया, और इसके लिए अपने आप को पकड़ लिए जाने दिया। आज हम उनकी मृत्यु के बारे में देखेंगे। 

    बहुत से लोगों, और कुछ धर्मों तथा मतों का यह मानना है, कि प्रभु यीशु क्रूस पर नहीं मारे गए, वरन उनके स्थान पर उनके समान दिखने वाला कोई और व्यक्ति क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया गया, और लोगों ने समझ लिया कि प्रभु यीशु को क्रूस पर मार डाला गया है। यह शैतान द्वारा फैलाए गए उस भ्रम का एक भाग है, जिसके द्वारा उसने प्रभु द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाए गए पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के मार्ग को व्यर्थ और निष्क्रिय दिखाने का प्रयास किया है। लेकिन परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में दिए गए विवरणों के साथ तुलना करके देखने से इन सभी दावों का खोखलापन तुरंत प्रकट हो जाता है। 

    प्रभु के पकड़वाए जाने के समय से लेकर, उनके क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने तक वे निरंतर पहरे में तथा विभिन्न लोगों की उपस्थिति में रहे; एक से दूसरे स्थान पर ले जाए गए, विभिन्न अधिकारियों के सामने प्रस्तुत किए गए, और अन्ततः रोमी गवर्नर पिलातुस के सामने लाए गए, जहाँ से फिर उन्हें क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के लिए रोमी सैनिकों को सौंप दिया गया, और उन्होंने उसे यातनाएँ देने के बाद ले जाकर क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया। दिन के उजाले में वे धार्मिक अगुवों के सामने भी प्रस्तुत किए गए, जिन्होंने उन्हें पहचाना, और उनके मसीह और परमेश्वर का पुत्र होने के बारे में उनसे पूछा (लूका 22:66-71)। इस दौरान उन्हें भयानक यातनाओं, कोड़े खाने, उपहास आदि के अनुभव से भी निकलना पड़ा, जिसे वे चुपचाप बिना कोई प्रतिक्रिया दिए, या कोई अपशब्द कहे सहते रहे। इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में वे कभी अपने विरोधियों और बैरियों की दृष्टि से ओझल नहीं हुए, तो फिर उनके स्थान पर कोई दूसरा कब और कैसे आता; और क्यों? जिन यातनाओं से होकर प्रभु को निकलना पड़ा, उनमें कोई भी अन्य मनुष्य कुछ भी भला-बुरा कह सकता था, कोई पापमय प्रतिक्रिया दे सकता था, जो नहीं हुआ। यदि वह प्रभु यीशु नहीं था तो फिर इन बातों को सहन करने वाला अपनी वास्तविक पहचान बता कर अपने आप को इस हृदय विदारक वेदना से बचा सकता, जो नहीं हुआ।

    यदि यह कहें कि पकड़ने के समय ही कोई गलती हुई, रात के अंधेरे में लोगों ने किसी गलत व्यक्ति को पकड़ लिया, तो इसका भी कोई आधार अथवा प्रमाण नहीं है। उन्हें उनके शिष्य, यहूदा इस्करियोती द्वारा पहचाने जाने के बाद पकड़वाया गया था, और उस समय उनके और यहूदा के मध्य अन्य लोगों के सामने वार्तालाप भी हुआ था (मत्ती 26:47-50); इसलिए किसी गलत व्यक्ति के पकड़े जाने की कोई संभावना नहीं थी। उनके पकड़े जाने के समय दो आश्चर्यकर्म भी हुए; एक तो जब पकड़ने आए लोगों ने प्रभु से उनकी पहचान के लिए पूछा, और प्रभु ने कहा कि “मैं ही हूँ” तब उन्हें पकड़ने आए हुए सभी लोग तुरंत स्वतः ही पीछे की ओर गिर पड़े “तब यीशु उन सब बातों को जो उस पर आनेवाली थीं, जानकर निकला, और उन से कहने लगा, किसे ढूंढ़ते हो? उन्होंने उसको उत्तर दिया, यीशु नासरी को: यीशु ने उन से कहा, मैं ही हूं: और उसका पकड़वाने वाला यहूदा भी उन के साथ खड़ा था। उसके यह कहते ही, कि मैं हूं, वे पीछे हटकर भूमि पर गिर पड़े” (यूहन्ना 18:4-6) - जो किसी साधारण मनुष्य के पकड़े जाने पर नहीं हो सकता था। दूसरा, प्रभु के शिष्य, पतरस ने तलवार चलाकर उन लोगों में से एक का कान काट दिया, जिसे प्रभु ने तुरंत चंगा भी कर दिया “और उन में से एक ने महायाजक के दास पर चला कर उसका दाहिना कान उड़ा दिया। इस पर यीशु ने कहा; अब बस करो: और उसका कान छूकर उसे अच्छा किया” (लूका 22:50-51) - यह भी कोई सामान्य जन नहीं कर सकता था।

    इसलिए किसी अन्य जन को उनके स्थान पर पकड़े जाने और क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने का कोई आधार अथवा प्रमाण नहीं है। शैतान द्वारा एक अन्य धारणा प्रचलित की गई है कि प्रभु यीशु क्रूस पर मरे नहीं, बस बेहोश हुए, और बाद में कब्र के ठन्डे वातावरण में होश में आकर, वे कब्र से बाहर आ गए, जिसे उनके शिष्यों ने उनके पुनरुत्थान के रूप में प्रस्तुत कर दिया। इसके बार में हम कल देखेंगे, कि यह बात भी परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में दिए गए प्रभु यीशु मसीह की मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान के विवरण से बिल्कुल मेल नहीं खाती है। किन्तु अभी के लिए, हमारे विचार करने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण विषय है - यदि वह निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, निर्दोष, पवित्र, और सिद्ध प्रभु मेरे और आपके पापों के लिए घोर यातनाएं सहने और क्रूस की अत्यंत पीड़ादायक मृत्यु सहने के लिए तैयार हो गया, तो क्या हम उससे आशीष और अनत जीवन पाने, नरक की अनन्त पीड़ा से बचने के लिए तैयार नहीं होंगे? वह तो केवल हमारा भला ही चाहता है, जिसके लिए उसने हमारा सारा दुख सह लिया; तो फिर हम क्यों उसके इस प्रेमपूर्ण आमंत्रण को अस्वीकार करें? शैतान की किसी बात में न आएं, किसी गलतफहमी में न पड़ें, अभी समय और अवसर के रहते स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप कर लें, अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित कर के, उसके शिष्य बन जाएं। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

English Translation

The Solution for Sin - Salvation - 17

    We have been looking at the characteristics that are required in that perfect man who can sacrifice himself to atone for the sins of mankind and provide the solution to the problem of sin. We have seen that such a man cannot be born according to the natural manner of men; but for the Lord Jesus to be incarnated as man and be born on earth, God had made a special provision. Though He was born as any other man, yet in His human body there was no sin, nor any effect of sin. He was fully God, but had emptied Himself of His divinity at the time of being born on earth; and was fully man as well. He lived His life like any other common man of His time, passing through those same experiences, suffering the same problems as any other person, yet always remained sinless, spotless, blameless, holy, and perfect. We saw in the previous article that He voluntarily suffered the punishment for the sins of all mankind, suffered their afflictions, allowed Himself to be caught and tortured, and let Himself be sacrificed for them all. Today, we will look into His death.

    Many people, some religions, and certain sects have a belief that the Lord Jesus did not die on the cross, but somebody who appeared to be like Him was crucified in His place, and people believed that Lord Jesus had died on the cross. This notion is a part of the deception spread by Satan through which he tries to nullify the work of the Lord Jesus accomplished on the cross, to render vain the Lord’s sacrifice to atone for the sins of mankind and make available the way to salvation. But the hollowness of all these claims becomes apparent as soon as we see them in light of the details given in God’s Word, the Bible.

    Since the time of His being caught, till His crucifixion, the Lord had continually remained under guard and surrounded by His detractors; He was taken from one place to another, was produced before different officials, even before the Roman Governor, from where He was handed over to the Roman soldiers, who after torturing Him took Him away to be being crucified. In the light of the day, He was also produced before the religious leaders, they recognized Him to be who He was, and questioned Him about His being the Messiah and the Son of God (Luke 22:66-71). During all this, He was also subjected to severe torture, being whipped and humiliated; and He went through it all silently, without any retaliation, without any harsh words coming from His mouth. Throughout all that He was being made to go through, He was never out of sight of His opponents and enemies for even a moment; so, how and when could somebody have been substituted to take His place? All that the Lord Jesus had to suffer before being crucified, any other human being suffering all that would have reacted in some sinful manner against his tormentors, which never happened. Moreover, if the person being tormented was not actually the Lord, then he could have spoken up, stated his true identity, and saved himself from this undeserving and unnecessary excruciating torture and pain; which never happened.

    If it is argued that there was some error at the time of taking the Lord into custody, people caught the wrong person in the darkness of the night, then this too is a baseless statement, without any proof. He was caught after he had been identified by His disciple, Judas Iscariot; and at that time, a conversation between Him and Judas in the presence of the people had also taken place (Matthew 26:47-50); therefore, there is no possibility that a wrong person had been taken into custody. At the time of His being caught, two miraculous events also took place; one was that when those who had come to catch Him asked Him about His identity, the Lord responded, “Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, "Whom are you seeking?" They answered Him, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus said to them, "I am He." And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them.  Now when He said to them, "I am He," they drew back and fell to the ground” (John 18:4-6) - which was something that could never have happened if an ordinary person had been mistakenly caught. Secondly, one of the Lord’s disciples, Peter, used a sword, and cut off the ear of one of those who had come to catch Him, and the Lord healed that person immediately, “And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. But Jesus answered and said, "Permit even this." And He touched his ear and healed him” (Luke 22:50-51) - this too no ordinary man could have done.

    Besides this, during the daytime, and at the time of His being crucified, the people standing there and the religious leaders recognized that it was the Lord Jesus Christ, and they mocked Him for His claims of divinity, “And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God." The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself."” (Luke 23:35-37). Then, He also gave the responsibility of taking care of His mother to His disciple John “Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!" Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home” (John 19:25-27); which is something no one else would do. 

    Therefore, there is no basis or proof of someone else having been caught instead of Him, or having been crucified in His place. Another wrong notion spread by Satan is that the Lord Jesus did not die on the cross but only became unconscious and only appeared to be dead on the cross; in the cool environment of the tomb, He revived, and walked out of the tomb, which His disciples claimed as the Lord being resurrected. We will see about this in the next article, and see how this too cannot stand the scrutiny in light of all that is written in God’s Word the Bible about the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. But for now, we have another very important thing to ponder over - if that sinless, spotless, blameless, holy, and perfect man, the Lord Jesus, was willing to suffer such excruciating torture and suffer the unimaginably painful death of the cross for my sins and yours, then why should we not accept His offer of eternal life and blessings, and consent to be saved form the torments of hell for eternity? He only wants our benefit, to only do good for us; and for this He suffered all the pain; so then why should we not accept His loving invitation He is extending to us? Do not let Satan deceive you through his smooth-talks, do not get carried away in any contrived misrepresentations or misconceptions. While you have the time and opportunity now, surrender your life to Him and agree to become His obedient disciple.

    If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

    हम देखते आ रहे हैं कि मनुष्य के पाप में पड़ने के कारण उत्पन्न हुई बातों के समाधान के लिए जिस मनुष्य की आवश्यकता थी, उस में निम्नलिखित बातों का होना अनिवार्य था:

• वह एक पाप के दोष और पाप करने के प्रवृत्ति से रहित मनुष्य हो; 

• वह अपना जीवन और सभी कार्य परमेश्वर की इच्छा और आज्ञाकारिता में होकर, उसे समर्पित रहकर करे। वह सदा ही परमेश्वर पर अपना पूरा भरोसा बनाए रखे, उस की किसी भी बात पर कोई संदेह न करे, उसकी आज्ञाकारिता के लिए कोई आनाकानी न करे;  

• वह पृथ्वी के किसी भी अन्य साधारण और सामान्य मनुष्य के समान सभी परिस्थितियों और बातों के अनुभव में से होकर निकले, किन्तु फिर भी वह अपने जीवन भर, अपने  मन-ध्यान-विचार-व्यवहार में पूर्णतः निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, और पवित्र रहा हो;

• वह स्वेच्छा से सभी मनुष्यों के पापों को अपने ऊपर लेने और उनके दण्ड - मृत्यु को सहने के लिए तैयार हो; 

• वह मृत्यु से वापस लौटने की सामर्थ्य रखता हो; मृत्यु उस पर जयवंत नहीं होने पाए;

• वह अपने इस महान बलिदान के प्रतिफलों को सभी मनुष्यों को सेंत-मेंत देने के लिए तैयार हो; 

    हमने देखा कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जीवन में इस सूची की पहली तीन बातें सटीक पूरी होती हैं। आज हम चौथी बात, उसके स्वेच्छा से अपना बलिदान देने के बारे में देखते हैं। 

    उत्पत्ति 3 अध्याय में दिए गए प्रथम पाप के संसार में प्रवेश और कार्यान्वित होने के समय के विवरण में हम आदम द्वारा परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करके, उस वर्जित फल को खा लेने और पाप करने के बारे में लिखा पाता हैं: “सो जब स्त्री ने देखा कि उस वृक्ष का फल खाने में अच्छा, और देखने में मनभाऊ, और बुद्धि देने के लिये चाहने योग्य भी है, तब उसने उस में से तोड़कर खाया; और अपने पति को भी दिया, और उसने भी खाया” (उत्पत्ति 3:6)। दिए गए क्रम के अनुसार, शैतान की बातों के प्रभाव में आकर, उस फल से आकर्षित होकर, पहले स्त्री ने अनाज्ञाकारिता की - फल को तोड़कर खाया, और फिर अपने पति, आदम, को भी दिया। हव्वा शैतान की बातों से प्रभावित हो गई और लालच में पड़ गई, उस वर्जित फल के ओर आकर्षित हो गई। पहले उसने अनाज्ञाकारिता की, फल को पहले उसने खाया, और उसके बाद उसने अपने पति आदम को खाने के लिए दिया। उत्पत्ति 3:6 के इस वृतांत की घटनाओं के क्रम से प्रकट है कि शैतान ने आदम को प्रभावित नहीं किया था; केवल हव्वा को ही किया था। हव्वा ने अपनी बुद्धि, समझ, और आँकलन के अनुसार, पहले अपने मन में पाप करने का निर्णय लिया, और फिर अपने उस निर्णय को शरीर में कार्यान्वित भी किया। पहले स्वयं पाप कर लेने के बाद, उसने आदम को भी यही करने के लिए कहा। पौलुस इस बात का कि पहले हव्वा बहकाई गई थी, हवाला तिमुथियुस और कुरिन्थियों को लिखी अपनी पत्रियों में देता है (1 तिमुथियुस 2:14; 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3)।

    आदम के पास यह अवसर था कि वह परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में बना रहता, स्त्री के समान फल को न खाता, और न केवल उसके निर्णय से अपने आप को अलग रखता, वरन उसे उसके पाप में गिरने के बारे में और परमेश्वर से इसके लिए सहायता माँगने के बारे में सिखाता। किन्तु उसने ऐसा नहीं किया। यद्यपि आदम बहकाया नहीं गया था; किन्तु उसने भी अपनी स्वेच्छा के अंतर्गत, स्त्री के समान उसने भी पहले अपने मन में परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करने, और पाप करने का निर्णय लिया, और फिर उसे शारीरिक रीति से कार्यान्वित कर लिया। यह हमारे समक्ष एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात को लेकर आता है - हव्वा धोखे में आ गई, प्रभावित की गई, और पाप करने के लिए लालच में फंसा ली गई। लेकिन आदम ने, जो बहुत अच्छे से जानता था कि परमेश्वर ने उससे इस बारे में क्या कहा है, स्वेच्छा से और जान-बूझकर, अपने इस निर्णय के परिणामों से भली-भांति अवगत होने के बावजूद, पाप में गिरे हुए एक अन्य मनुष्य अर्थात हव्वा की बात का पालन करने और परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करने को ठान लिया, और कर भी लिया। इसलिए, आदम का पाप और अधिक गंभीर था, और आदम द्वारा की गई इन बातों को पलटने के द्वारा ही पाप का समाधान किया जा सकता था.  

    अब पाप के लिए प्रायश्चित, और पाप के परिणामों के समाधान को उपलब्ध करवाने वाले मनुष्य के लिए भी यही बात आवश्यक थी कि वह आदम द्वारा किए गए कार्य को उल्ट दे; अर्थात उसे स्वेच्छा से पाप के निवारण से संबंधित सभी बातों का अपने निर्णय के अनुसार परमेश्वर के पक्ष में होकर पालन करना था। अर्थात, उसे इस प्रक्रिया में निहित परेशानियों, अपमान, तिरस्कार, कष्टों और यातनाओं, और अन्ततः एक भयानक मृत्यु को भली-भांति जानते-बूझते हुए भी, जो शैतान और संसार के लोग उस पर लाएँगे, स्वेच्छा से उन सभी को स्वीकार करने और सहने के लिए तैयार होना था; उसे इस बात के लिए भी तैयार होना था लोगों से परमेश्वर की इच्छा और निर्देशों का पालन करने के लिए आग्रह करे, उन्हें परमेश्वर को समर्पित जीवन जीने, और जब कभी भी परमेश्वर की सहायता की आवश्यकता हो तो परमेश्वर को पुकारने के लिए सिखाए और तैयार करे; और, इन सभी में होकर निकलने में भी अपने पवित्र, सिद्ध, निष्पाप, निष्कलंक अस्तित्व को बनाए रखने वाला हो।

    हम पिछले लेख में देख चुके हैं कि इब्रानियों 10:7 और फिलिप्पियों 2:6 में प्रभु यीशु के संसार में आते समय किए गए निर्णय के बारे में लिखा है, कि वह स्वेच्छा से परमेश्वर द्वारा पहले से लिख दी गई बातों की पूर्ति के लिए इस संसार में मानव-देहधारी होकर आ गया। आते समय उसने अपने ईश्वरत्व को छोड़ कर मानव रूप में अपने आप को ईश्वरत्व की सभी महिमा और आदर से शून्य कर लिया। वह एक पूर्णतः आज्ञाकारी दीन और नम्र दास का स्वरूप धरण कर के पृथ्वी पर आया, और प्रभु पृथ्वी पर इसी स्वरूप में रहा और कार्य किया।

    जब उसने अपने शिष्यों से अपने आने वाले बलिदान और कष्ट के बारे में बात की, तो उसके शिष्य पतरस ने, प्रभु के प्रति अपने प्रेम के अंतर्गत, प्रभु को ऐसा करने से रोकना चाहा, किन्तु प्रभु ने उसे तुरंत ही झिड़क दिया: “उस समय से यीशु अपने चेलों को बताने लगा, कि मुझे अवश्य है, कि यरूशलेम को जाऊं, और पुरनियों और महायाजकों और शास्त्रियों के हाथ से बहुत दुख उठाऊं; और मार डाला जाऊं; और तीसरे दिन जी उठूं। इस पर पतरस उसे अलग ले जा कर झिड़कने लगा कि हे प्रभु, परमेश्वर न करे; तुझ पर ऐसा कभी न होगा। उसने फिरकर पतरस से कहा, हे शैतान, मेरे सामने से दूर हो: तू मेरे लिये ठोकर का कारण है; क्योंकि तू परमेश्वर की बातें नहीं, पर मनुष्यों की बातों पर मन लगाता है” (मत्ती 16:21-23)।  यहाँ 21 पद में प्रभु की कही बात पर ध्यान कीजिए “मुझे अवश्य है, कि यरूशलेम को जाऊं, और पुरनियों और महायाजकों और शास्त्रियों के हाथ से बहुत दुख उठाऊं; और मार डाला जाऊं; और तीसरे दिन जी उठूं।” उसका यह सब बातों को सहने के लिए यरूशलेम को जाना, उसका अपना निर्णय था; वह स्वयं, या पतरस के कहने पर, इस निर्णय से हट सकता था, किन्तु उसने ऐसा नहीं किया। वरन, उसे इस निर्णय से हटाने का प्रयास करने वाले पतरस को ही “शैतान” कहकर झिड़क दिया, और उसे परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में बाधा होने की उलाहना दी। 

    यही एकमात्र समय नहीं था, जब प्रभु यीशु ने अपने यरूशलेम जाने, और वहाँ पर यातनाएं देने तथा मारे जाने के लिए पकड़वाए जाने की बात अपने शिष्यों से कही। उसने अन्य अनेकों अवसरों पर भी उनके सामने इसी बात को रखा (मत्ती 17:21-22; 20:17-19; मरकुस 9:30-32; लूका 9:22, 44; 18:31-33; आदि)। अर्थात प्रभु के लिए यरूशलेम जाकर अपने आप को मारे जाने के लिए पकड़वाया जाना, कोई अनपेक्षित या अनायास घटने वाली बात नहीं थी। वह इससे भली-भांति परिचित था, फिर भी उन्होंने यह किया, स्वेच्छा से किया, परमेश्वर की इच्छानुसार ऐसा किया।  

    जब समय आया, और यहूदा इस्करियोती प्रभु को पकड़वाने के लिए जाने के लिए फसह के भोज से जाने को तैयार हो रहा था, तब भी प्रभु ने उसे रोका नहीं, वरन उसे जा लेने दिया “और टुकड़ा लेते ही शैतान उस में समा गया: तब यीशु ने उस से कहा, जो तू करता है, तुरन्त कर” (यूहन्ना 13:27)।

    जब उसे पकड़ने और यातनाएं देने के बाद, क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के लिए ले जाया जा रहा था, तब उसके हाल देखकर कुछ स्त्रियाँ विलाप करने लगीं, तो प्रभु ने उन्हें उसके लिए विलाप करने से मना किया “और लोगों की बड़ी भीड़ उसके पीछे हो ली: और बहुत सी स्त्रियां भी, जो उसके लिये छाती-पीटती और विलाप करती थीं। यीशु ने उन की ओर फिरकर कहा; हे यरूशलेम की पुत्रियों, मेरे लिये मत रोओ; परन्तु अपने और अपने बालकों के लिये रोओ” (लूका 23:27-28)। प्रभु को अपने नहीं, उन पर शीघ्र ही आने वाले दुख की चिंता थी। 

    कुल मिलाकर, परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल यह स्पष्ट दिखाती है कि प्रभु यीशु ने स्वेच्छा से अपने आप को मारे जाने के लिए दे दिया। वह पापी मनुष्यों के बदले में उनके मृत्यु दण्ड को सहने के लिए तैयार था। उसने यह इसलिए स्वीकार किया ताकि मुझे और आपको अनन्त जीवन की आशीष दे सके - यदि मैं और आप उसके इस बलिदान पर विश्वास लाएं, उसे अपना प्रभु स्वीकार करें, और स्वेच्छा तथा सच्चे मन से अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित कर के, उसके शिष्य बन जाएं।

    यदि आप ने अभी भी उद्धार नहीं पाया है, अपने पापों के लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा नहीं मांगी है, तो अभी आपके पास अवसर है। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

The Solution for Sin - Salvation - 16

We have seen in the previous articles that the man God required to atone for and provide the solution to the problem of sin should have the following characteristics:

• He should be without any guilt of sin, devoid of the sin nature or the tendency to sin found in all human beings.

• He should do all things in his life according to the will of God and in obedience to God, living a life of submission to God. He must always have full faith in God, never doubt anything God says, and never be reluctant to obey God for anything.

• He should pass through all the situations and circumstances that any average normal human being on earth passes through; but yet throughout his life, in all his thoughts, attitudes, behavior, and actions should remain totally sinless, spotless, and holy.

• He should voluntarily be willing to take upon himself all the sins of entire mankind, and be willing to suffer their punishment, i.e., death in the place of all of mankind.

• He should have the power to overcome death and to return back to life from death; death should not have any hold on him.

• He should be voluntarily and freely willing to share the benefits of his great sacrifice with mankind.

    We have also seen that in the life of the Lord Jesus Christ, the first three characteristics of the above list are fulfilled. Today we will look at the 4th characteristic, that is about His voluntarily taking the sins of mankind upon Himself and sacrificing Himself for mankind.

    In chapter 3 of Genesis, we find the account of how sin entered into the world and affected the whole of creation. This happened because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve, in eating the forbidden fruit, “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate'' (Genesis 3:6). Going by the serial order of the events given in this account, we see that it was Eve, who was influenced and enticed by Satan’s talk, was attracted to the forbidden fruit. It was she who first disobeyed, first ate the fruit, and then she gave it to her husband Adam to eat. From this description given in Genesis 3:6, it is evident that Satan had not influenced Adam to sin; he had only influenced Eve. It was Eve who, based on her own wisdom, understanding, and assessment, first decided in her mind to disobey God, commit the sin, and then went ahead to do accordingly, i.e., she then committed it physically as well. After doing so, she then asked Adam to do the same as well. Paul gives a reference to this incident of Eve being deceived, in his letters to Timothy and to the Corinthian Church (1 Timothy 2:14; 2 Corinthians 11:3).

    Adam had the opportunity to remain obedient to God, not eat the forbidden fruit, and not only keep himself separate from Eve’s decision, but also to educate her about her fallen state and ask her to seek God’s help for the remedy.  But he did not do so. Although Adam was not deceived by Satan; but of his own free will, like Eve, he too first mentally decided to disobey God and commit sin, and then he too, like Eve, acted upon his decision and physically committed the sin. This brings us to a very important point - Eve was deceived, influenced, and enticed to sin by Satan. But Adam, knowing fully well what God had said to him, voluntarily and volitionally decided to disobey God, and obey another human being already fallen into sin i.e., Eve, and committed the sin by his own choice, knowing fully well the consequences that would follow. Therefore, it was Adam’s sin that was more serious, and it was through the reversal of what Adam had done that the remedy for sin could be brought about.

    Therefore, now for the one who was going to provide the atonement, the solution to the effects of sin, it was necessary that he act in a reverse manner to what Adam had done; i.e., he had to voluntarily do everything in accordance with God’s will, instead of doing against what God had said. He should voluntarily, being well aware of all the consequences of his action, be willing to fulfill all things stated by God for the solution for sin. This meant that knowing very well the inherent serious problems, insults, rejections, sufferings, and torture culminating in a terrible death that would come his way from Satan and the people of the world, he would still be willing to undergo all of this volitionally; he would be willing and committed to urge people to obey God’s instructions and will, submit to Him, and seek God’s remedy as and when it was required for them to do so; and while passing through all of this he should remain holy, perfect, sinless, and blameless, on all accounts, throughout.

    We have seen in the previous article that in Hebrews 10:7 and Philippians 2:6 it is written about the decision the Lord Jesus made at the time of coming into the world, that He had decided to come into the world in human form to fulfill all things that God had written in the Scriptures beforehand. On coming to earth in His human form, He emptied himself of all his glory, heavenly status, and honor as God, and came to earth as a common man. He remained and ministered as a humble, fully obedient servant of God while on earth, throughout His ministry.

    When He spoke with his disciples about his coming sacrifice and sufferings then one of his disciples Peter, because of his love for the Lord, tried to stop the Lord from doing this, but the Lord immediately rebuked him “From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!" But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."” (Mathew 16:21-23). Here take note of what the Lord says to Peter in verse 21 “From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.” His going to Jerusalem to suffer all of this was His own decision. He had the opportunity to alter His decision, either Himself or because of Peter’s urging Him; but He did not do so. Instead, He immediately turned down Peter’s attempt to dissuade Him from doing this, and even addressed Peter as ‘Satan’, since, in suggesting this Peter was coming in the way of His being obedient to God.

    This wasn't the only occasion when the Lord Jesus had talked with His disciples about his going to Jerusalem, being caught over there to be tortured and then killed. He had put this before His disciples on many other occasions as well (Matthew 17:21-22; 20:17-19; Mark 9:30-32; Luke 9:22, 44; 18:31-33; etc.). The meaning is quite evident, that the Lord's going to Jerusalem and allowing himself to be caught was not something unexpected or unforeseen. He was very well aware of it all, and yet He allowed it voluntarily in the will of God.

    When the time came, and Judas Iscariot was getting ready to leave the Passover feast to go and make arrangements for the Lord Jesus to be caught, the Lord Jesus neither prevented, nor stopped Judas from doing so rather urged him go and do what he wanted to do “Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly."” (John 13:27). 

    After being caught and tortured when He was being taken to be crucified, some women looking at his condition started to weep and lament; the Lord ask them not to weep for him “And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him. But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children”” (Luke 23:27-28). Even at that time the Lord was more worried about the torment that was going to come upon them in the near future; than He was of his own condition.

    Overall, the Bible, the Word of God very clearly shows that the Lord Jesus gave himself up voluntarily to be sacrificed. He was willing to suffer the death penalty in lieu of the sinful and sinning mankind. He agreed to suffer all of this so that you and I could have the blessing of eternal life - provided you and I believe in His sacrifice, accept him as our Lord, and voluntarily with a sincere heart submit our lives to Him, to become His obedient disciples.

    If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

    हम देख चुके हैं कि अदन की वाटिका में हुए पहले पाप के कारण उत्पन्न स्थिति के समाधान और निवारण के लिए जिस सिद्ध, पवित्र, निष्पाप, निष्कलंक मनुष्य की आवश्यकता थी, उसका पृथ्वी पर जन्म और जीवन स्वाभाविक मानवीय प्रणाली से संभव नहीं था, क्योंकि पृथ्वी पर जन्म लेने वाला प्रत्येक मनुष्य पाप के दोष एवं प्रवृत्ति के साथ जन्म लेता है, और पाप करता है। इसलिए वह केवल अपना दण्ड सहन कर सकता है, किसी अन्य के दण्ड को नहीं वहन कर सकता है। प्रभु यीशु का पृथ्वी पर मनुष्य रूप में जन्म परमेश्वर द्वारा किया गया आश्चर्यकर्म था; प्रभु ने अन्य सभी मनुष्यों के समान स्त्री से पृथ्वी पर जन्म भी लिया, उत्पत्ति 3:15 की भविष्यवाणी और बात को पूरा भी किया, किन्तु उनकी देह में मनुष्य के पाप का दोष और प्रवृत्ति नहीं थी।

    साथ ही, हमने यह भी देखा था कि यद्यपि प्रभु यीशु जन्म से ही निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, पवित्र, और सिद्ध थे; किन्तु शैतान ने उन्हें मार डालने या पाप में गिराने के प्रयासों में कोई कसर रख नहीं छोड़ी थी। किन्तु प्रभु ने उसकी कोई चाल को सफल नहीं होने दिया, और अपने पर पाप का कोई अभियोग नहीं आने दिया। प्रभु यीशु हर परिस्थिति, हर बात के लिए पिता परमेश्वर के आज्ञाकारी बने रहे; दुख उठा कर भी। इस प्रकार से, उन्होंने अपने मानव स्वरूप द्वारा यह दिखा दिया कि परमेश्वर की सहायता से मानवीय शरीर में होकर भी शैतान की युक्तियों को विफल किया जा सकता है, पाप करते रहने से बचा जा सकता है। 

    क्योंकि पाप के मानवीय जीवन में प्रवेश का द्वार मनुष्य द्वारा उसके लिए परमेश्वर की योजनाओं और आज्ञाओं के प्रति संदेह के कारण खुला था; इसलिए पाप के समाधान और निवारण के लिए बलिदान होने वाले सिद्ध मनुष्य को परमेश्वर पर बिना कोई संदेह किए पूर्ण विश्वास करने वाला भी होना आवश्यक था। प्रभु यीशु ने यह भी अपने जीवन से कर के दिखाया, वरन पृथ्वी पर आने से भी पहले कर के दिखाया। प्रभु यीशु मसीह में पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के सुसमाचार की एक विशेषता यह भी है कि प्रभु के पृथ्वी पर आने से पहले ही उसके बारे में पवित्र शास्त्र में लिख दिया गया था। पौलुस प्रेरित ने कुरिन्थुस के मसीही विश्वासियों की मंडली को लिखा,  “हे भाइयों, मैं तुम्हें वही सुसमाचार बताता हूं जो पहिले सुना चुका हूं, जिसे तुम ने अंगीकार भी किया था और जिस में तुम स्थिर भी हो। उसी के द्वारा तुम्हारा उद्धार भी होता है, यदि उस सुसमाचार को जो मैं ने तुम्हें सुनाया था स्मरण रखते हो; नहीं तो तुम्हारा विश्वास करना व्यर्थ हुआ। इसी कारण मैं ने सब से पहिले तुम्हें वही बात पहुंचा दी, जो मुझे पहुंची थी, कि पवित्र शास्त्र के वचन के अनुसार यीशु मसीह हमारे पापों के लिये मर गया। और गाड़ा गया; और पवित्र शास्त्र के अनुसार तीसरे दिन जी भी उठा” (1 कुरिन्थियों 15:1-4)। 

    प्रभु यीशु परमेश्वर की बातों के प्रति पूर्णतः आज्ञाकारी रहा, उसने परमेश्वर के लिखे हुए को पूरा किया; परमेश्वर पिता की किसी बात के लिए कोई आनाकानी अथवा संदेह नहीं किया, इसके कुछ उदाहरण हम परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में से देखते हैं: 

• पृथ्वी पर आते समय प्रभु ने कहा, “तब मैं ने कहा, देख, मैं आ गया हूं, (पवित्र शास्त्र में मेरे विषय में लिखा हुआ है) ताकि हे परमेश्वर तेरी इच्छा पूरी करूं” (इब्रानियों 10:7)। परमेश्वर पिता के प्रति उसकी आज्ञाकारिता उसके पृथ्वी पर आने से पहले आरंभ हो चुकी थी। 

• जब वह पृथ्वी पर आया, तो अपने ईश्वरत्व को छोड़कर, दीन, नम्र, और आज्ञाकारी दास का स्वरूप धारण करके आया, “जिसने परमेश्वर के स्वरूप में हो कर भी परमेश्वर के तुल्य होने को अपने वश में रखने की वस्तु न समझा। वरन अपने आप को ऐसा शून्य कर दिया, और दास का स्वरूप धारण किया, और मनुष्य की समानता में हो गया। और मनुष्य के रूप में प्रगट हो कर अपने आप को दीन किया, और यहां तक आज्ञाकारी रहा, कि मृत्यु, हां, क्रूस की मृत्यु भी सह ली” (फिलिप्पियों 2:6-8)।

• प्रभु का “भोजन” अर्थात उसकी सामर्थ्य, परमेश्वर पिता की आज्ञाकारिता थी, “यीशु ने उन से कहा, मेरा भोजन यह है, कि अपने भेजने वाले की इच्छा के अनुसार चलूं और उसका काम पूरा करूं” (यूहन्ना 4:34)।

• प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों में से अपने सबसे निकट के शिष्य भी अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार नहीं, वरन पिता परमेश्वर से सारी रात प्रार्थना करने के बाद चुने, “और उन दिनों में वह पहाड़ पर प्रार्थना करने को निकला, और परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करने में सारी रात बिताई। जब दिन हुआ, तो उसने अपने चेलों को बुलाकर उन में से बारह चुन लिये, और उन को प्रेरित कहा” (लूका 6:12-13)। 

• प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी सेवकाई और कार्यों के लिए कहा, “इस पर यीशु ने उन से कहा, मैं तुम से सच सच कहता हूं, पुत्र आप से कुछ नहीं कर सकता, केवल वह जो पिता को करते देखता है, क्योंकि जिन जिन कामों को वह करता है उन्हें पुत्र भी उसी रीति से करता है” (यूहन्ना 5:19); और “मैं अपने आप से कुछ नहीं कर सकता; जैसा सुनता हूं, वैसा न्याय करता हूं, और मेरा न्याय सच्चा है; क्योंकि मैं अपनी इच्छा नहीं, परन्तु अपने भेजने वाले की इच्छा चाहता हूं” (यूहन्ना 5:30)।

• प्रभु द्वारा अपने प्राणों का बलिदान देना और उसका पुनरुत्थान भी परमेश्वर पिता की इच्छा के अनुसार था “पिता इसलिये मुझ से प्रेम रखता है, कि मैं अपना प्राण देता हूं, कि उसे फिर ले लूं। कोई उसे मुझ से छीनता नहीं, वरन मैं उसे आप ही देता हूं: मुझे उसके देने का अधिकार है, और उसे फिर लेने का भी अधिकार है: यह आज्ञा मेरे पिता से मुझे मिली है” (यूहन्ना 10:17-18)। 

• निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, और पवित्र प्रभु के लिए, जिसके चरित्र, स्वभाव, और विचार में भी पाप नहीं था, सारे संसार के सभी लोगों के पापों को अपने ऊपर ले लेना अत्यंत विचलित कर देने वाला कार्य था; किन्तु फिर भी उसने पिता परमेश्वर की इच्छा की पूर्ति के लिए उसे किया, “हे पिता यदि तू चाहे तो इस कटोरे को मेरे पास से हटा ले, तौभी मेरी नहीं परन्तु तेरी ही इच्छा पूरी हो।” “और वह अत्यन्त संकट में व्याकुल हो कर और भी हृदय वेदना से प्रार्थना करने लगा; और उसका पसीना मानो लहू की बड़ी बड़ी बून्‍दों के समान भूमि पर गिर रहा था” (लूका 22:42, 44)। 

• क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के लिए पकड़वाए जाने से पहले प्रभु ने अपनी प्रार्थना में पिता परमेश्वर से कहा, “जो काम तू ने मुझे करने को दिया था, उसे पूरा कर के मैं ने पृथ्वी पर तेरी महिमा की है” (यूहन्ना 17:4); और क्रूस पर से, अपने प्राण छोड़ने से पहले प्रभु ने सुनिश्चित किया कि परमेश्वर के वचन में उनके लिए लिखी सभी बातें पूरी हो गई हैं, और, “इस के बाद यीशु ने यह जानकर कि अब सब कुछ हो चुका; इसलिये कि पवित्र शास्त्र की बात पूरी हो कहा, मैं प्यासा हूं। वहां एक सिरके से भरा हुआ बर्तन धरा था, सो उन्होंने सिरके में भिगोए हुए इस्‍पंज को जूफे पर रखकर उसके मुंह से लगाया। जब यीशु ने वह सिरका लिया, तो कहा पूरा हुआ और सिर झुका कर प्राण त्याग दिए” (यूहन्ना 19:28-30)। 

• अपने पुनरुत्थान के बाद प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों को समझाया कि किस प्रकार पवित्र शास्त्र में उस के लिए लिखी हुई बातों का पूरा होना अवश्य था, “फिर उसने उन से कहा, ये मेरी वे बातें हैं, जो मैं ने तुम्हारे साथ रहते हुए, तुम से कही थीं, कि अवश्य है, कि जितनी बातें मूसा की व्यवस्था और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं और भजनों की पुस्तकों में, मेरे विषय में लिखी हैं, सब पूरी हों। तब उसने पवित्र शास्त्र बूझने के लिये उन की समझ खोल दी। और उन से कहा, यों लिखा है; कि मसीह दु:ख उठाएगा, और तीसरे दिन मरे हुओं में से जी उठेगा” (लूका 24:44-46)।

 

    प्रभु के पृथ्वी पर आने से पहले से लेकर, उनके जीवन, शिक्षाओं, क्रूस पर बलिदान देने, मृतकों में से जी उठने - सभी के विषय परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में सब कुछ पहले से लिखवा दिया था। प्रभु यीशु ने उन सभी बातों का पूर्णतः निर्वाह किया, कभी परमेश्वर के प्रति अनाज्ञाकारी नहीं रहा, कभी उसकी किसी बात, किसी योजना पर संदेह नहीं किया, परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता करने में कभी कुड़कुड़ाया नहीं, हर बात में परमेश्वर की इच्छा जानकार उसी के अनुसार कार्य किया। इसी प्रभु ने अपनी सेवकाई के आरंभ से ही कहा, “यूहन्ना के पकड़वाए जाने के बाद यीशु ने गलील में आकर परमेश्वर के राज्य का सुसमाचार प्रचार किया। और कहा, समय पूरा हुआ है, और परमेश्वर का राज्य निकट आ गया है; मन फिराओ और सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करो” (मरकुस 1:14-15)। 

    क्या आप परमेश्वर की इस चेतावनी के प्रति सचेत और तैयार हैं? संसार के हालात स्पष्ट संकेत कर रहे हैं कि अब किसी भी क्षण प्रभु को दोबारा आगमन हो जाएगा, और जिन्होंने उद्धार नहीं पाया है, वे अनन्त विनाश में, तथा पापों से पश्चाताप करके उनके लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा मांग लेने वाले अनन्त आशीष के स्थान - स्वर्ग में चले जाएंगे। क्या आप उस घड़ी के इस अपरिवर्तनीय निर्णय का सामना करने के लिए तैयार हैं? यदि आप ने अभी भी उद्धार नहीं पाया है, अपने पापों के लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा नहीं मांगी है, तो अभी आपके पास अवसर है। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

English Translation

The Solution for Sin - Salvation - 15

So, far, we have seen that the perfect, holy, sinless, spotless man required for the solution of the problem of sin that began in the Garden of Eden, could not have come from the natural manner of human birth and living, since every person born on earth, is always born with the sin nature and the tendency to sin, and does commit sin. Therefore, he can only atone for his own sins, and never for the sins of any other person. The birth of the Lord Jesus as a man on earth was a miracle carried out by the Lord God; though the Lord was born just like any other person through a woman, and He fulfilled the prophecy and requirements of Genesis 3:15; but in His human body there was neither any sin, nor any sin nature or any tendency to sin.

    We have also seen that although since His birth, the Lord Jesus was sinless, spotless, holy, and perfect; yet Satan had left no stone unturned to somehow either make Him sin, or to kill Him. But the Lord never allowed any of Satan’s tricks to succeed, or to have any allegation of sin come upon Him in any manner. The Lord Jesus always remained obedient to God the Father in every circumstance, and for each and everything; even at the cost of suffering pain for doing so. Thereby, through His human form He demonstrated that by being fully obedient to God, human beings in their physical bodies can defeat the tricks and plans of the devil, and remain safe from living in sin.

    Since the door for sin was opened by the man’s doubting the plans and instructions of God for him; therefore, for the person sacrificing himself to atone for and provide the solution for the sins of mankind, it was mandatory that he fully trusts and obeys God for everything, in all circumstances. The Lord Jesus demonstrated even this through His life on earth, rather, from even before coming down to be born on earth. Another special thing, and unique feature about the Gospel of salvation and forgiveness of sins is that it was written in the Scriptures, even before the birth of the savior Lord Jesus. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Christian Believers in Corinth, “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

    That, the Lord Jesus lived a life of complete obedience to God and fulfilled everything that God had got written about Him; never doubted anything that God said, nor was He ever reluctant to obey God for anything, we can see through some examples written in God’s Word, the Bible:

• At the time of His coming to be born on earth, the Lord Jesus said, “Then I said, 'Behold, I have come -- In the volume of the book it is written of Me -- To do Your will, O God'” (Hebrews 10:7). His obedience to God had begun before His coming to earth.

• When He came to earth, He came after emptying Himself, taking the form of a man, and becoming an obedient, humble servant of God, “who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:6-8).

• The “food” of the Lord, i.e., the source of His power was the obedience of God “Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34).

• The Lord did not choose His closest disciples, the apostles, according to His own will, but only after spending the night praying to God about it, “Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles” (Luke 6:12-13).

• The Lord said about His ministry and works, “Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner” (John 5:19); and “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me” (John 5:30).

• The Lord’s sacrificing His life and His resurrection were also in accordance with God’s will, “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father” (John 10:17-18).

• For the sinless, spotless, holy Lord, in whose character, behavior, and thoughts there was no sin, to take upon Himself all the sins of the entire mankind was something reprehensible and utterly revolting; yet He chose to do it to fulfil the will of God, “saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done." And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground” (Luke 22:42-44).

• Before being caught and taken to be crucified, the Lord in His prayer to God said, “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do” (John 17:4); and before giving up his life, from the cross, the Lord ascertained that everything written in God’s Word about Him had been fulfilled, and only then, “After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” (John 19:28-30).

• Before His resurrection, the Lord explained to His disciples that how all things written about Him in the Scriptures had to be fulfilled, “Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day” (Luke 24:44-46).

    

    From before coming to the earth, throughout His life on earth, in His teachings, His sacrifice on the cross, His resurrection from the dead – about everything, God had it all written in His Word. The Lord Jesus fully fulfilled all those things, was never disobedient to God, never doubted anything, any instruction or plan of God, never grumbled or expressed discontentment about obeying God, for all things always first asked God, took His consent and then did that work accordingly. This same Lord, at the beginning of His ministry said, “Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel"” (Mark 1:14-15).

    In accordance with this warning from the Lord, are you prepared and ready? The conditions in the world are clearly indicating that the Lord’s second coming is very near, will happen at any moment. When that happens, all those who are not saved through the forgiveness of sins will go into eternal destruction; and those who have repented of their sins and asked forgiveness for them from the Lord Jesus, will go into the place of eternal blessing – heaven, to stay with Him for eternity. Are you ready to face that moment and its irreversible eternal decision?

    If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
