पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा करने का पाप की समझ (भाग-4)

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि पाप परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता है, तथा परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता का अर्थ होता है परमेश्वर को नीचे करके, स्वयँ को उससे ऊँचा ठहरा लेना। लूसिफर ने भी यही बात स्वर्ग में करनी चाही थी, स्वयँ को परमेश्वर से ऊँचा ठहराना चाहा था। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि लूसिफर और उसके अनुयायियों का पाप क्यों क्षमा नहीं किया गया। आज हम इसी विषय को थोड़ा और आगे बढ़ाकर, समझेंगे कि बाइबल के अनुसार “परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा” क्या है?

बाइबल के अनुसार, प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा कही गई “परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा” क्या है?

अब हम देखते हैं की शब्द ‘निंदा या निरादर’ का, उसके क्षमा न हो सकने वाले पाप के सन्दर्भ में, परमेश्वर के वचन में अभिप्राय क्या है। हम मिकल्संस एन्हांस्ड डिक्शनरी ऑफ़ द ग्रीक एंड हीब्र्यु टेस्टामेंट्स (Mickelson’s Enhanced Dictionary of the Greek and Hebrew Testaments) से देखते हैं कि यह शब्द “निन्दा”, यूनानी शब्द “ब्लास्फेमियो” (स्ट्रौंग्स/Strongs G989) से आया है, जिसका अर्थ है:

    1. धिक्कारना, अपशब्द के साथ विरोध में बोलना, हानि पहुंचाना।

    2. कलंकित करना, किसी की प्रतिष्ठा को हानि पहुंचाना, बदनाम करना।

    3. (विशेषतः) किसी के प्रति निरादर पूर्वक बोलना।

इस शब्द की उपरोक्त परिभाषा से स्पष्ट है कि, यह निरादर या निन्दा का पाप एक ऐच्छिक, जानबूझकर योजनानुसार किया गया कार्य है; जो तथ्यों पर आधारित हो सकता है अथवा नहीं भी हो सकता है, वरन् जो तथ्यों का दुरुपयोग करके उन तथ्यों के यथार्थ से बिलकुल भिन्न अभिप्राय देने के द्वारा किया गया भी हो सकता है। और साथ ही यह केवल व्यक्ति को नीचा दिखाने और बदनाम करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया होगा – जो करना चाहे सही हो या गलत। सीधे शब्दों में अर्थ यह है कि, किसी का निरादर या निन्दा करना, उस व्यक्ति को दुष्ट कहना और इस गलत बात का प्रचार करना है; यह भली-भांति जानते हुए भी कि वह व्यक्ति बुरा नहीं है; और उसके बुरा न होने के प्रमाण होते और जानते हुए भी, केवल उसे बदनाम करने के उद्देश्य से, जानबूझकर ऐसा करना।

इस विषय के संदर्भ में, यह बहुत ध्यान देने और भली-भांति समझने की बात है कि जैसा कि बाइबल में दिखाया गया है, पवित्र आत्मा के विरुद्ध निरादर या निन्दा का पाप, पवित्र आत्मा या उसकी सामर्थ्य अथवा कार्यों के प्रति असमंजस में होना या अनिश्चित होना, या उस पर संदेह करना, या उसके विषय कोई स्पष्टीकरण की अपेक्षा करना, या उसके विषय कही जा रही बात के लिए वचन से कुछ और अधिक खुलासा अथवा विवरण माँगना, आदि कदापि नहीं है। यह इस बात से भली-भांति प्रकट होता है कि यद्यपि प्रभु के कार्य पवित्र आत्मा के अभिषेक और सामर्थ्य के साथ किए गए थे (प्रेरितों 10:38), किन्तु फिर भी अनेकों को, जिन में नए नियम के कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति भी सम्मिलित हैं, प्रभु पर, तथा पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई और सामर्थ्य द्वारा की गई उसकी सेवकाई के प्रति न केवल संदेह था, यहाँ तक कि अविश्वास भी था, जैसा कि निम्न उदाहरणों से प्रकट है:

* यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले को संदेह हुआ की क्या प्रभु वह प्रतिज्ञा किया हुआ मसीहा था भी कि नहीं (मत्ती 11:2-3); 

* प्रभु के शिष्यों को ही उस पर संदेह था कि वह वास्तव में है कौन (मरकुस 4:38-41); 

* प्रभु यीशु के अपने भाई, जिनमें याकूब और यहूदा भी थे जिनकी पत्रियां नए नियम में विद्यमान हैं, आरंभ में वे भी उस पर विश्वास नहीं रखते थे (यूहन्ना 7:5); 

* दुष्टात्मा के वश में पड़े लड़के के पिता को संदेह था कि वह उसके पुत्र को ठीक कर सकता है कि नहीं (मरकुस 9:24); 

* मृतक लाज़रस की बहन मारथा को संदेह था, कि प्रभु लाज़रस को मृतकों में से जिलाने पाएगा (यूहन्ना 11:21-28); 

* थोमा को प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान पर संदेह था (यूहन्ना 20:25) इत्यादि। 

किन्तु उनके इस अविश्वास के लिए किसी की भी भर्त्सना नहीं की गई, इन में से किसी को भी प्रभु ने उनके प्रश्नों, संदेहों, और अविश्वास के कारण कभी भी ‘क्षमा न हो पाने वाले पाप’ का दोषी न तो कहा और न इसके लिए उन्हें दण्डित किया। 

इसके अतिरिक्त: 

* वचन में यह भी उदाहरण है कि पवित्र आत्मा का प्रतिरोध करने और उसके अनाज्ञाकारी होने की निंदा अवश्य की गई है (प्रेरितों 7:51-53), परन्तु इस भी “कभी क्षमा न होने वाला पाप” नहीं कहा गया है।

* यहाँ तक कि प्रभु के विरोध में भद्दी या अपमानजनक भाषा के उपयोग को (पतरस द्वारा प्रभु का तीन बार, अन्ततः असभ्य भाषा के प्रयोग के साथ भी किया गया इनकार – मत्ती 26:69-74), भी बाइबल में अनादर या क्षमा न होने वाला पाप नहीं कहा गया है। 

* हमें यह स्मरण करना और ध्यान करना आवश्यक है कि केवल फरीसी, सदूकी, और शास्त्री ही नहीं थे जिन्होंने प्रभु यीशु में दुष्टात्मा होने का दोषारोपण किया था, आम लोगों में से भी कई लोगों ने यही कहा था (मत्ती 10:25; मरकुस 3:21; यूहन्ना 7:20; 8:48, 52; 10:20); परन्तु इन में से किसी भी अवसर पर प्रभु यीशु ने न तो उन्हें क्षमा न होने वाले पाप का दोषी कहा और न ही उन्हें इसके विषय सचेत किया। 

उपरोक्त वचन के सभी उदाहरणों में, प्रभु के विरुद्ध बोलना परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के विरुद्ध बोलना था जिसके अभिषेक और सामर्थ्य से प्रभु अपनी सेवकाई कर रहा था, जैसा हम प्रेरितों 10:38 से देख चुके हैं। इन उदाहरणों के आधार पर, यह बिलकुल स्पष्ट है कि वचन के अनुसार, जन-साधारण द्वारा प्रभु या पवित्र आत्मा पर संदेह करना, किसी असमंजस के लिए स्पष्टीकरण की लालसा रखना या मांगना, अविश्वास रखना, उनके विषय अनुचित या अभद्र भाषा अथवा व्यवहार का प्रयोग करना, आदि “कभी न क्षमा होने वाला पाप” नहीं हैं, क्योंकि उन लोगों ने ये सभी बातें की हैं, और प्रभु ने कभी उसे उनके द्वारा “कभी न क्षमा होने वाला पाप” किया जाना नहीं कहा है। 

अब प्रश्न यह उठता है कि ऐसे निरादर या निन्दा को “कभी न क्षमा होने वाला पाप,” प्रभु ने केवल वचन के ज्ञानियों और शिक्षकों, फरीसियों से ही क्यों कहा है (मरकुस 3:28-30 और लूका 12:10)? इसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Understanding The Sin of Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit (Part-4)

In the previous article we had seen that sin is disobeying the laws or rules of God, and disobeying God implies bringing Him down, and placing ourselves as higher or superior than Him. Lucifer had tried to do the same in heaven, to place himself over and above God. We had also seen why the sin of Lucifer and his followers could not be forgiven. Today we will carry this topic a bit further and see what, according to the Bible, is the “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.” 

According to the Bible, what is the “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” spoken of by the Lord Jesus?

Now we will consider the meaning of the word ‘blasphemy’ or dishonouring, in context of the unforgivable sin, from the Word of God. According to “Mickelson’s Enhanced Dictionary of the Greek and Hebrew Testaments” this word has come from the Greek word ‘blasphemia’ (Strongs G989), which means:

1. Blasphemy, i.e., to speak against in an abusive manner, to cause harm;

2. Evil speaking, i.e., to speak in a derogatory manner to cause harm to one’s honor, to slander someone;

3. Railing, i.e., to speak dishonorably about someone.

It is evident from the above definition that the sin of speaking dishonorably against, or to blaspheme someone is something done knowingly, willingly, deliberately or intentionally. This can be based on facts, or, not based on facts; it can even be done by misusing and misinterpreting facts to deliberately give them a different meaning. It can even be something done intentionally with the sole purpose of denigrating or defaming someone, whether rightly or wrongly. In simple straightforward words, to blaspheme against someone is to wrongly call someone evil, spread this around, well knowing that the person is actually not evil; and although there being no proof of the person being bad, deliberately or intentionally say disrespectful things about him.

We need to be very clear and understand very well, that as shown by the Bible, in context of our topic of discussion, the sin of dishonoring or blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, is not being in any confusion or uncertainty about the power and works of the Holy Spirit, or, having any doubts about Him, or, wanting to have any clarification or explanation about Him, or, asking for some details and verification from God’s Word about what is said about Him - none of these constitutes blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. This is made amply evident from the fact that although the works of the Lord Jesus were done by the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:38), but still many people, which includes many very important persons of the New Testament, not only had doubts, but even unbelief on the Lord and His ministry being through the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit; as we can see from the following examples:

* John the Baptist came into doubts whether the Lord was the promised Messiah or not (Matthew 11:2-3);

* The disciples of the Lord had doubts about who He actually was (Mark 4:38-41);

* In the beginning, even the brothers of the Lord Jesus, which included James and Jude, whose epistles we have in the New Testament, did not believe in Him (John 7:5);

* The father of the demon-possessed boy had doubts whether the Lord will be able to cure his son (Mark 9:24);

* Martha the sister of deceased Lazarus had doubts whether the Lord will be able to raise her brother from the dead (John 11:21-28);

* Lord’s disciple Thomas doubted the resurrection of the Lord Jesus (John 20:25); etc.

But none of the above have ever been castigated as guilty of committing the ‘unpardonable sin’, although they had questions, doubts, and unbelief about the Lord and His works, done under the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit; and have never been punished for doing so.

Besides the above:

* God’s Word shows that although resisting the Holy Spirit and being disobedient to Him have been severely spoken against (Acts 7:51-53), but this has not been called the “unpardonable sin”.

* Even the use of vulgar language against the Lord Jesus (Peter denied the Lord three times, even using inappropriate language - Matthew 26:69-74) has not been called the “unpardonable sin”.

We need to remember and keep in mind that it was not only the Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Scribes who had accused the Lord of having an evil spirit; many amongst the common people had also said the same about Him (Matthew 10:25; Mark 3:21; John 7:20; 8:48, 52; 10:20); but never did the Lord say that they had committed the ‘unpardonable sin’ nor did He admonish and caution them about it.

In all these examples, speaking against the Lord was speaking against the Holy Spirit under whose anointing and with whose power He was working, as we have seen from Acts 10:38. It is evident and clear from these examples that according to God’s Word, the general public having doubts about the Lord and the Holy Spirit, or, being in uncertainty and expecting or asking for some clarification, having unbelief, using inappropriate language about them, etc., none of these has ever been called the ‘unpardonable sin’ by the Lord Jesus in the Bible, although people have been guilty of one or the other of the above against the Lord.

This raises the question that then why did the Lord Jesus call this dishonor and blasphemy committed only by the Pharisees and the others knowledgeable about the Scriptures as the ‘unpardonable sin’ (Mark 3:28-30 and Luke 12:10)? We will see this in the next article.

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा समस्त मानवजाति के लिए किए गए इस महान उद्धार तथा पापों के समाधान एवं निवारण के कार्य को लेकर लोगों के मनों में कई प्रश्न भी रहते हैं। सामान्यतः पूछे जाने वाले कुछ प्रश्न और उनके उत्तर हैं:

प्रश्न: जब पाप का दण्डात्मक दुष्प्रभाव वंशागत हो सकता है, तो उद्धार का आशीषपूर्ण रक्षक प्रभाव वंशागत क्यों नहीं हो सकता है? क्यों प्रत्येक को अपने ही पापों के क्षमा मिलती है; वह क्षमा उसकी संतानों पर क्यों नहीं जाती है?

उत्तर: जैसा इससे पहले के प्रश्न में समझाया गया है, उद्धार पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी अभी भी शारीरिक रीति से पाप के दोष और प्रभाव वाली देह में जीवित हैं। इसलिए उनका पाप करने का पुराना स्वभाव, उनके प्रभु यीशु का अनुसरण करने के नए स्वभाव के साथ संघर्ष करता रहता है, उन्हें वापस पाप में फँसाने और गिराने का प्रयास करता रहता है “क्योंकि शरीर आत्मा के विरोध में, और आत्मा शरीर के विरोध में लालसा करती है, और ये एक दूसरे के विरोधी हैं; इसलिये कि जो तुम करना चाहते हो वह न करने पाओ” (गलातियों 5:17)। जब कभी शरीर की लालसाएँ आत्मा पर हावी हो जाती हैं, मनुष्य पाप में गिर जाता है। किन्तु मसीही विश्वासी पाप में बना नहीं रह सकता है “जो कोई परमेश्वर से जन्मा है वह पाप नहीं करता; क्योंकि उसका बीज उस में बना रहता है: और वह पाप कर ही नहीं सकता [मूल यूनानी भाषा में लिखे वाक्य का अभिप्राय है ‘वह पाप में बना नहीं रह सकता है], क्योंकि परमेश्वर से जन्मा है” (1 यूहन्ना 3:9)। उसमें विद्यमान परमेश्वर का आत्मा उसे उसके इस पाप में गिर जाने, पाप में होने की दशा के लिए कायल करता है, पश्चाताप के लिए उभारता है, और जब वह अपने पाप को मान लेता है, उसके लिए पश्चाताप करके परमेश्वर से क्षमा माँगता है, तो परमेश्वर का वायदा है कि “यदि हम अपने पापों को मान लें, तो वह हमारे पापों को क्षमा करने, और हमें सब अधर्म से शुद्ध करने में विश्वासयोग्य और धर्मी है” (1 यूहन्ना 1:9)। 

दूसरी बात, उद्धार पाने के बाद, परमेश्वर हमें अंश-अंश करके प्रभु यीशु की समानता में परिवर्तित करता जा रहा है “...तो प्रभु के द्वारा जो आत्मा है, हम उसी तेजस्वी रूप में अंश अंश कर के बदलते जाते हैं” (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:18)। इसलिए उद्धार पाए हुए प्रत्येक व्यक्ति में सदैव ही, जब तक वह इस शरीर और संसार में है, कुछ सांसारिक और शारीरिक तथा कुछ आत्मिक और स्वर्गीय गुण विद्यमान होंगे। मसीही विश्वास, तथा परमेश्वर के वचन और आज्ञाकारिता में परिपक्व होते जाने से उसमें से सांसारिक और शारीरिक बातें धीरे-धीरे कम होती चली जाएंगी, और स्वर्गीय तथा आत्मिक बातें बढ़ती चली जाएंगी। किन्तु पूर्ण पवित्रता और सिद्धता वह इस शरीर से निकल कर अविनाशी देह में आने के बाद ही पाएगा। इसलिए हर उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति में, कोई न कोई अपूर्णता, सांसारिकता की बात, शरीर की लालसा देखी जाएगी। इसका यह अर्थ नहीं है कि वह उद्धार पाया हुआ नहीं है; वरन यह कि वह अभी “निर्माणाधीन” है, उसमें चल रहा परमेश्वर का कार्य अभी पूरा नहीं हुआ है, इसलिए कुछ कमियाँ, कुछ त्रुटियाँ दिख सकती हैं, और दिखती रहती हैं। किन्तु उसका अनन्तकालीन भविष्य स्वर्गीय सिद्धता, पवित्रता, और आशीषपूर्ण है। 

प्रश्न: जब प्रभु ने सब के पापों के लिए दंड सह लिया है, उनकी पूरी-पूरी कीमत चुका दी है, तो फिर सभी स्वर्ग के वारिस क्यों नहीं हैं? फिर क्यों लोगों को प्रभु यीशु मसीह में अलग से विश्वास करने की आवश्यकता है? 

उत्तर: इसका उत्तर समझने के लिए दो उदाहरण देखिए। मान लीजिए, मैं आपके लिए एक बहुत उत्तम और आपके जीवन के लिए बहुत लाभकारी उपहार लेता हूँ, और आपको उसे एक भेंट के रूप में मुफ़्त में देना चाहता हूँ। मैं आपको उसके लिए बारंबार बताता रहता हूँ कि मैंने आपके लिए एक बहुत उपयोगी उपहार ले कर रखा हुआ है, जब भी मन करे कभी भी आकर मुझ से उस उपहार को ले लें। किन्तु आप मुझ पर, मेरी मंशा पर, मेरे उस उपहार पर संदेह करते हैं, उन्हें अस्वीकार करते हैं, मेरे इस निमंत्रण को स्वीकार नहीं करते, मुझ से वह उपहार लेने के लिए नहीं आते हैं; तो क्या वह उपहार, जिसकी पूरी कीमत चुकाई जा चुकी है, जो आपको केवल मुझ से लेकर अपने लिए उपयोग भर ही करना है, आपको कोई लाभ दे सकता है? या मान लीजिए, आप उस उपहार को मुझ से ले भी लेते हैं, किन्तु उसकी गुणवत्ता पर, उसकी उपयोगिता पर, उसे आपको देने के पीछे मेरी मंशा पर, या अन्य किसी भी कारण से उस उपहार पर और मुझ पर संदेह करते हैं, उसे अपने लिए आवश्यक नहीं समझते हैं, अपने उपयोग में नहीं लाते हैं, तो क्या मेरे द्वारा उस उपहार की कीमत चुकाने और उसे आपको उपलब्ध करवा देने से आपको कोई लाभ होगा? 

यही बात प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाए गए पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के उपहार के लिए भी लागू है। यदि आप उसे अपनाएंगे ही नहीं; उसे अपने जीवन में कार्यकारी ही नहीं करेंगे तो फिर वह आपके जीवन में लाभकारी कैसे होगा? प्रभु यीशु कहते हैं कि “मैं तुम्हारे पाप अपने ऊपर लेता हूँ, और बदले में अपनी धार्मिकता तुम्हें देता हूँ” और आप कहें, नहीं मुझे यह स्वीकार नहीं है; मैं अपने पाप अपने पास रखूँगा, आप अपनी धार्मिकता अपने पास रखिए। मैं अपने पापों का समाधान और निवारण अपने तरीके से निकाल लूँगा और कर लूँगा, मुझे आपके समाधान और निवारण की आवश्यकता नहीं है। ऐसे में प्रभु यीशु द्वारा क्रूस पर किए गए कार्य और उनके पुनरुत्थान का आपके जीवन में क्या उपयोगिता अथवा महत्व रहा? फिर प्रभु का वह बलिदान आपके लिए कैसे कार्यकारी और लाभकारी हो सकेगा? ऐसे में तो आप वहीं रहेंगे जहाँ हैं, जैसे हैं; और सब कुछ तैयार एवं उपलब्ध होने के बावजूद, उसका कोई लाभ नहीं उठाने पाएंगे। 

एक अन्य कारण से भी प्रभु द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाया गया यह समाधान लोगों के जीवनों में कार्यकारी एवं उपयोगी नहीं होने पाता है। एक और उदाहरण से समझिए; हम सभी कंप्यूटर और मोबाइल फोन प्रयोग करते हैं। इसलिए हम यह भी जानते हैं कि हमारे कंप्यूटर अथवा फोन में डाले हुए प्रोग्राम या एप्प के बनाने वाले समय-समय पर उनके और उन्नत तथा बेहतर संस्करण, अर्थात ‘अपडेट’ निकालते रहते हैं, जिससे वह प्रोग्राम या एप्प और बेहतर कार्य कर सके। कभी-कभी कुछ अपडेट ऐसे भी आते हैं जिन्हें लागू करने के लिए पुराने संस्करण को मिटाना या ‘अन-इंस्टाल’ करना होता है, और फिर उस पुराने के स्थान पर नए वाले को ‘इंस्टाल’ करना होता है। यदि आप नया संस्करण डाउनलोड भी कर लें, किन्तु पुराने को ‘अन-इंस्टाल’ करने की अनुमति न दें, पुराने को ‘अन-इंस्टाल’ नहीं करें, तो वह नया फिर कैसे लागू होगा और आपके किस काम का होगा? ऐसे में उस प्रोग्राम या एप्प के बनाने वाले और उसे उपलब्ध करवाने वाले की मेहनत और प्रयास आपके लिए क्या लाभ देंगे? बहुत से लोग मसीही जीवन का लाभ तो उठाना चाहते हैं, किन्तु अपने पुराने सांसारिक जीवन और पुरानी शारीरिक बातों को छोड़ना नहीं चाहते हैं। जबकि प्रभु कहता है कि पुराने जीवन से पश्चाताप और छुटकारे के साथ ही मसीही विश्वास का नया जीवन कार्यान्वित, उपयोगी और लाभकारी हो सकता है। जब तक पुराना पापमय जीवन रहेगा तब तक नया कुछ काम नहीं कर सकेगा। लोगों को नए जीवन का पता है, वे उसे चाहते हैं, किन्तु नए को पुराने के साथ मिलाकर चलाना चाहते हैं, जो संभव नहीं है। इसलिए उनके जीवन में पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार का कार्य भी कार्यकारी नहीं रहता है।

शैतान तो सांसारिक ज्ञान, बुद्धि, समझ, धर्म, मत, विचारधारा, आदि के आधार पर मन में परमेश्वर के कार्य के प्रति संदेह उत्पन्न करता ही रहेगा; अनेकों प्रकार से प्रश्न उठाता ही रहेगा और उलझाता ही रहेगा - वह तो अदन की वाटिका के प्रथम पाप के समय से यह करता चला आ रहा है। उसके भ्रम, उसकी इस चालाकी में फँसने की बजाए, प्रभु यीशु पर, उसके जीवन, शिक्षाओं, कार्यों, और मानवजाति के लिए दिए गए बलिदान, तथा उनके मृतकों में से पुनरुत्थान की सामर्थ्य पर; वह आपको क्या देना चाहता है और आप से बदले में क्या चाहता है, आदि बातों पर ध्यान लगाइए, उन पर विचार कीजिए, तब सही बात तथा सही निर्णय आपके सामने स्वतः ही स्पष्ट एवं प्रकट हो जाएगा। फिर यीशु मसीह को अपना प्रभु और उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने में आपको कोई संकोच नहीं रहेगा। 

 

प्रभु यीशु ने तो अपना काम कर के दे दिया है; किन्तु क्या आपने उसके इस आपकी ओर बढ़े हुए प्रेम और अनुग्रह के हाथ को थाम लिया है, उसकी भेंट को स्वीकार कर लिया है? या आप अभी भी अपने ही प्रयासों के द्वारा वह करना चाह रहे हैं जो मनुष्यों के लिए कर पाना असंभव है। 

यदि आप ने अभी तक नया जन्म स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अभी समय और अवसर रहते, स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ आपके द्वारा की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को आशीषित तथा स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा। अभी अवसर है, अभी प्रभु का निमंत्रण आपके लिए है - उसे स्वीकार कर लीजिए।

Some Related Questions and their Answers (1)

Many people have questions regarding this great salvation and solution to the problem of sin, freely provided by the Lord Jesus for the entire mankind. Some of the commonly asked questions, and their answers are:

Question: If the deleterious effect of sin resulting in punishment can be hereditary, then why can the saving effect of salvation that brings blessings not be hereditary too? Why is it that every person is forgiven his own sins; why does that forgiveness not go down to his posterity?

Answer: This is an evident and understood fact that man’s earthly body is perishable, has the sin nature, and the sin nature and its effect - death, is passed on from one generation to another, therefore each earthly body has to die. When the Lord Jesus had taken upon His sinless body the guilt of sin of the entire mankind, then His body too had to suffer death. Presently, till the second coming of the Lord, the earthly body of the Christian Believers, the saved ones, is still not the heavenly glorious body as the Lord Jesus had after His resurrection, and one that will be given to the Believers, the disciples of Christ, at the second coming of the Lord Jesus, once they too have gone through death like the Lord. After the resurrection, the Lord Jesus was not only a spirit, He said and proved to His disciples that He was with them not as a spirit but in body “Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have” (Luke 24:39; read Luke 24:36-43). Similarly, the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ too, at the second coming of Christ, those who have died will be resurrected in their new glorious heavenly body, and those who are alive at that time, their bodies will be converted to into that new body “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:52-53); that new body will be free of the guilt and effect of sin - death. Because presently the bodies of the Christian Believers do not have the characteristics of the glorious heavenly body, therefore they cannot pass on these characteristics to their children; they can only pass on, and do pass on, the characteristics of their current perishable bodies with a sin nature “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!” (Job 14:4).

Question: Why do people keep sinning even after being Born-Again, receiving salvation; why do they not become holy and perfect?

Answer: As has been explained in the answer to the previous question, given above, the saved and Born-Again Christian Believers are still living in their earthly bodies that have the sin nature and effects of sin in them. Therefore, their old nature having the tendency to sin keeps on fighting with their new spiritual nature, and keeps on trying to bring them back into committing sin, into falling into sin “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish” (Galatians 5:17). Whenever the desires and lusts of the body gain an upper hand on their spirit, they commit sin. But a Christian Believer cannot continue to remain in sin, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin [the sentence in the original Greek language implies ‘cannot remain in or continue in sin’], because he has been born of God” (1 John 3:9). The Spirit of God present in him, convicts him of having fallen into sin and being in state of sin, and provokes him to repent of the sin; when he repents and asks for God’s forgiveness, then it is God’s promise that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Secondly, after our salvation, God is continuing to change us into the likeness of the Lord Jesus, bit by bit “... are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). Therefore, every Born-Again and saved Believer, as long as he is in this body, will continue to have some characteristics of his earthly body and its worldly desires, and some heavenly and spiritual characteristics. As he grows and matures in his spiritual life, in obedience to God and His Word, the earthly and worldly attributes will continue to diminish and the heavenly and spiritual will continue to increase. But the complete perfection and holiness will only come after he passes away from this physical body into the heavenly body. Therefore, in every saved and Born-Again person, there will always be some imperfection, spiritual deficiency, worldly desires and physical characteristics. This does not mean that he is not Born-Again or saved; but just that he is still “under construction” by God, and God’s work of changing him is still not completed, therefore, some deficiencies and imperfections are seen in him. But his blessed eternal future, heavenly perfection, and holiness are assured and awaiting him.

Question: When the Lord has suffered death for everyone, paid in full for their sins, then why is everyone not an inheritor of heaven? Why do people still have to individually believe in the Lord Jesus?

Answer: To understand the answer to this, consider two examples. Suppose, I procure an excellent and very expensive gift for you that will be very useful for you in your life, and I want to give it to you as a present out of my love and care for you.  I keep telling you time and again that I have something very good and useful for you, that I want to present you with, please come at any convenient time and collect it from me. But you doubt me, my intentions, the necessity of that gift, and never come to collect that gift from me. In a way you have rejected that gift, which is very expensive, has been paid for in full, is very useful and beneficial for you, and all you have to do is collect it from me and start using it. Can that gift be considered to be of any use or benefit for you? Or, supposing you do come and collect it from me, but you continue to doubt me, my intentions, the quality, utility, and effectiveness of that gift, and for these or any other reasons, do not consider it to be of any use for yourself, never put that gift to any use in your life, and let it lie unused with you. In either of these situations, will my having procured that gift, paid for it, made it available to you for free as a gift of love, be of any use for you, although that gift is there and waiting to be put to use by you?

The same thing is applicable to the free gift of salvation procured and freely made available for the entire mankind. Unless it is received, believed upon, and put into use in one’s life, it remains unutilized and inefficacious, its benefits remain non-applicable. The Lord Jesus says, “I have taken your sins upon myself, and am giving my righteousness to you in their place”, and you say to Him, “No! This is not acceptable to me. You keep your righteousness with yourself, and I will keep my sins with myself. I will find my own solution to the problem of my sins; I do not need the solution you have made and provided for my sins.” In such a situation, of what use is the work done by the Lord Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, His sacrifice, death, and resurrection - of what use are they for you? How can that sacrifice and work be effective and beneficial for you? In such a situation, you will remain where you are and as you are; and despite everything being ready and made freely available for you, you will not be able to receive any benefit from it.

There is another reason as well, why the solution prepared and made available by the Lord Jesus remains unutilized and ineffective in the lives of people. Understand this with another example; we all, or most of us, use either the mobile phone or the computer. That is why we are aware that those who create and provide Apps and programs to be installed and used in our phones and computers, keep releasing updates and improved versions of their programs, so that those Apps and programs continue to function optimally. Sometimes, there are some updates, which require uninstalling the previous outdated version before installing the new updated version. Even though you may download the new updated version, but do not allow the old out-dated version to be uninstalled, then how can that newer and better version be installed and become useful for you? In such a situation, of what use and benefit is the work and effort of the creator of that App or program, for you? Similarly, many people want to have the benefits of Christian Believer’s life, but do not want to get rid of, or “uninstall” their old worldly life and their physical lusts and desires. The Lord says that only by getting rid of the old life through repentance and asking for forgiveness, will you be able to bring in and put to use the new and beneficial heavenly, spiritual life. As long as the old sinful life remains in you, till then the new spiritual life of God’s righteousness will not be able to work. People know about this new life, they want to have its benefits too, but they want to have it along with their old sinful life - to enjoy the desires of the flesh, as well as gain the benefits of the spiritual life; and that cannot happen. Therefore, in the lives of such people, who want to have the benefits of both sides, the forgiveness of sins and works of salvation are never at work or efficacious.

Satan, through worldly knowledge, wisdom, understanding, religion, opinions, points-of-view, etc., will continue to bring doubts regarding God’s work, and will continue to raise many questions, continue to beguile and confuse you - he has been doing this since the time of the first sin committed in the Garden of Eden. Instead of falling for his deceptions and deviousness, ponder over and study the life of the Lord Jesus Christ, His works, His teachings, His love for sinners, His sacrifice for mankind, His power of resurrection, what He wants to give to you and what He wants to take away from you, etc. As you prayerfully, sincerely, and with a humble heart think over these aspects, the truth and the right decision will automatically become apparent to you, and you will have no hesitation in accepting the Lord Jesus as your saviour.

The Lord Jesus has done His part; He has made ready and available salvation with all the benefits freely to everyone; but have you accepted His offer? Have you taken His hand of love and grace extended towards you and the free gift He offers; or are you still determined to do that which no man can ever accomplish through his own efforts?

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

    हम देख चुके हैं कि अदन की वाटिका में हुए पहले पाप के कारण उत्पन्न स्थिति के समाधान और निवारण के लिए जिस सिद्ध, पवित्र, निष्पाप, निष्कलंक मनुष्य की आवश्यकता थी, उसका पृथ्वी पर जन्म और जीवन स्वाभाविक मानवीय प्रणाली से संभव नहीं था, क्योंकि पृथ्वी पर जन्म लेने वाला प्रत्येक मनुष्य पाप के दोष एवं प्रवृत्ति के साथ जन्म लेता है, और पाप करता है। इसलिए वह केवल अपना दण्ड सहन कर सकता है, किसी अन्य के दण्ड को नहीं वहन कर सकता है। प्रभु यीशु का पृथ्वी पर मनुष्य रूप में जन्म परमेश्वर द्वारा किया गया आश्चर्यकर्म था; प्रभु ने अन्य सभी मनुष्यों के समान स्त्री से पृथ्वी पर जन्म भी लिया, उत्पत्ति 3:15 की भविष्यवाणी और बात को पूरा भी किया, किन्तु उनकी देह में मनुष्य के पाप का दोष और प्रवृत्ति नहीं थी।

    साथ ही, हमने यह भी देखा था कि यद्यपि प्रभु यीशु जन्म से ही निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, पवित्र, और सिद्ध थे; किन्तु शैतान ने उन्हें मार डालने या पाप में गिराने के प्रयासों में कोई कसर रख नहीं छोड़ी थी। किन्तु प्रभु ने उसकी कोई चाल को सफल नहीं होने दिया, और अपने पर पाप का कोई दोष नहीं आने दिया। प्रभु यीशु हर परिस्थिति, हर बात के लिए पिता परमेश्वर के आज्ञाकारी बने रहे; दुख उठा कर भी। इस प्रकार से, उन्होंने अपने मानव स्वरूप द्वारा यह दिखा दिया कि परमेश्वर की सहायता से मानवीय शरीर में होकर भी शैतान की युक्तियों को विफल किया जा सकता है, पाप करते रहने से बचा जा सकता है।

 

    क्योंकि पाप के मानवीय जीवन में प्रवेश का द्वार, मनुष्य द्वारा उसके लिए परमेश्वर की योजनाओं और आज्ञाओं के प्रति संदेह के कारण खुला था; इसलिए पाप के समाधान और निवारण के लिए बलिदान होने वाले सिद्ध मनुष्य को परमेश्वर पर बिना कोई संदेह किए पूर्ण विश्वास करने वाला भी होना आवश्यक था। प्रभु यीशु ने यह भी अपने जीवन से कर के दिखाया, वरन पृथ्वी पर आने से भी पहले कर के दिखाया। प्रभु यीशु मसीह में पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के सुसमाचार की एक विशेषता यह भी है कि प्रभु के पृथ्वी पर आने से पहले ही उसके बारे में पवित्र शास्त्र में लिख दिया गया था। पौलुस प्रेरित ने कुरिन्थुस के मसीही विश्वासियों की मंडली को लिखा,  “हे भाइयों, मैं तुम्हें वही सुसमाचार बताता हूं जो पहिले सुना चुका हूं, जिसे तुम ने अंगीकार भी किया था और जिस में तुम स्थिर भी हो। उसी के द्वारा तुम्हारा उद्धार भी होता है, यदि उस सुसमाचार को जो मैं ने तुम्हें सुनाया था स्मरण रखते हो; नहीं तो तुम्हारा विश्वास करना व्यर्थ हुआ। इसी कारण मैं ने सब से पहिले तुम्हें वही बात पहुंचा दी, जो मुझे पहुंची थी, कि पवित्र शास्त्र के वचन के अनुसार यीशु मसीह हमारे पापों के लिये मर गया। और गाड़ा गया; और पवित्र शास्त्र के अनुसार तीसरे दिन जी भी उठा” (1 कुरिन्थियों 15:1-4)। 

    प्रभु यीशु परमेश्वर की बातों के प्रति पूर्णतः आज्ञाकारी रहा, उसने परमेश्वर के लिखे हुए को पूरा किया; परमेश्वर पिता की किसी बात के लिए कोई आनाकानी अथवा संदेह नहीं किया, इसके कुछ उदाहरण हम परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में से देखते हैं: 

* पृथ्वी पर आते समय प्रभु ने कहा, “तब मैं ने कहा, देख, मैं आ गया हूं, (पवित्र शास्त्र में मेरे विषय में लिखा हुआ है) ताकि हे परमेश्वर तेरी इच्छा पूरी करूं” (इब्रानियों 10:7)। परमेश्वर पिता के प्रति उसकी आज्ञाकारिता उसके पृथ्वी पर आने से पहले आरंभ हो चुकी थी। 

* जब वह पृथ्वी पर आया, तो अपने ईश्वरत्व को छोड़कर, दीन, नम्र, और आज्ञाकारी दास का स्वरूप धारण करके आया, “जिसने परमेश्वर के स्वरूप में हो कर भी परमेश्वर के तुल्य होने को अपने वश में रखने की वस्तु न समझा। वरन अपने आप को ऐसा शून्य कर दिया, और दास का स्वरूप धारण किया, और मनुष्य की समानता में हो गया। और मनुष्य के रूप में प्रगट हो कर अपने आप को दीन किया, और यहां तक आज्ञाकारी रहा, कि मृत्यु, हां, क्रूस की मृत्यु भी सह ली” (फिलिप्पियों 2:6-8)।

* प्रभु का “भोजन” अर्थात उसकी सामर्थ्य, परमेश्वर पिता की आज्ञाकारिता थी, “यीशु ने उन से कहा, मेरा भोजन यह है, कि अपने भेजने वाले की इच्छा के अनुसार चलूं और उसका काम पूरा करूं” (यूहन्ना 4:34)।

* प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों में से अपने सबसे निकट के शिष्य भी अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार नहीं, वरन पिता परमेश्वर से सारी रात प्रार्थना करने के बाद चुने, “और उन दिनों में वह पहाड़ पर प्रार्थना करने को निकला, और परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करने में सारी रात बिताई। जब दिन हुआ, तो उसने अपने चेलों को बुलाकर उन में से बारह चुन लिये, और उन को प्रेरित कहा” (लूका 6:12-13)। 

* प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी सेवकाई और कार्यों के लिए कहा, “इस पर यीशु ने उन से कहा, मैं तुम से सच सच कहता हूं, पुत्र आप से कुछ नहीं कर सकता, केवल वह जो पिता को करते देखता है, क्योंकि जिन जिन कामों को वह करता है उन्हें पुत्र भी उसी रीति से करता है” (यूहन्ना 5:19); और “मैं अपने आप से कुछ नहीं कर सकता; जैसा सुनता हूं, वैसा न्याय करता हूं, और मेरा न्याय सच्चा है; क्योंकि मैं अपनी इच्छा नहीं, परन्तु अपने भेजने वाले की इच्छा चाहता हूं” (यूहन्ना 5:30)।

* प्रभु द्वारा अपने प्राणों का बलिदान देना और उसका पुनरुत्थान भी परमेश्वर पिता की इच्छा के अनुसार था “पिता इसलिये मुझ से प्रेम रखता है, कि मैं अपना प्राण देता हूं, कि उसे फिर ले लूं। कोई उसे मुझ से छीनता नहीं, वरन मैं उसे आप ही देता हूं: मुझे उसके देने का अधिकार है, और उसे फिर लेने का भी अधिकार है: यह आज्ञा मेरे पिता से मुझे मिली है” (यूहन्ना 10:17-18)। 

* निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, और पवित्र प्रभु के लिए, जिसके चरित्र, स्वभाव, और विचार में भी पाप नहीं था, सारे संसार के सभी लोगों के पापों को अपने ऊपर ले लेना अत्यंत विचलित कर देने वाला कार्य था; किन्तु फिर भी उसने पिता परमेश्वर की इच्छा की पूर्ति के लिए उसे किया, “हे पिता यदि तू चाहे तो इस कटोरे को मेरे पास से हटा ले, तौभी मेरी नहीं परन्तु तेरी ही इच्छा पूरी हो।” “और वह अत्यन्त संकट में व्याकुल हो कर और भी हृदय वेदना से प्रार्थना करने लगा; और उसका पसीना मानो लहू की बड़ी बड़ी बून्‍दों के समान भूमि पर गिर रहा था” (लूका 22:42, 44)। 

* क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के लिए पकड़वाए जाने से पहले प्रभु ने अपनी प्रार्थना में पिता परमेश्वर से कहा, “जो काम तू ने मुझे करने को दिया था, उसे पूरा कर के मैं ने पृथ्वी पर तेरी महिमा की है” (यूहन्ना 17:4); और क्रूस पर से, अपने प्राण छोड़ने से पहले प्रभु ने सुनिश्चित किया कि परमेश्वर के वचन में उनके लिए लिखी सभी बातें पूरी हो गई हैं, और, “इस के बाद यीशु ने यह जानकर कि अब सब कुछ हो चुका; इसलिये कि पवित्र शास्त्र की बात पूरी हो कहा, मैं प्यासा हूं। वहां एक सिरके से भरा हुआ बर्तन धरा था, सो उन्होंने सिरके में भिगोए हुए इस्‍पंज को जूफे पर रखकर उसके मुंह से लगाया। जब यीशु ने वह सिरका लिया, तो कहा पूरा हुआ और सिर झुका कर प्राण त्याग दिए” (यूहन्ना 19:28-30)। 

* अपने पुनरुत्थान के बाद प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों को समझाया कि किस प्रकार पवित्र शास्त्र में उस के लिए लिखी हुई बातों का पूरा होना अवश्य था, “फिर उसने उन से कहा, ये मेरी वे बातें हैं, जो मैं ने तुम्हारे साथ रहते हुए, तुम से कही थीं, कि अवश्य है, कि जितनी बातें मूसा की व्यवस्था और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं और भजनों की पुस्तकों में, मेरे विषय में लिखी हैं, सब पूरी हों। तब उसने पवित्र शास्त्र बूझने के लिये उन की समझ खोल दी। और उन से कहा, यों लिखा है; कि मसीह दु:ख उठाएगा, और तीसरे दिन मरे हुओं में से जी उठेगा” (लूका 24:44-46)।

    प्रभु के पृथ्वी पर आने से पहले से लेकर, उनके जीवन, शिक्षाओं, क्रूस पर बलिदान देने, मृतकों में से जी उठने - सभी के विषय परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में सब कुछ पहले से लिखवा दिया था। प्रभु यीशु ने उन सभी बातों का पूर्णतः निर्वाह किया, कभी परमेश्वर के प्रति अनाज्ञाकारी नहीं रहा, कभी उसकी किसी बात, किसी योजना पर संदेह नहीं किया, परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता करने में कभी कुड़कुड़ाया नहीं, हर बात में परमेश्वर की इच्छा जानकार उसी के अनुसार कार्य किया। इसी प्रभु ने अपनी सेवकाई के आरंभ से ही कहा, “यूहन्ना के पकड़वाए जाने के बाद यीशु ने गलील में आकर परमेश्वर के राज्य का सुसमाचार प्रचार किया। और कहा, समय पूरा हुआ है, और परमेश्वर का राज्य निकट आ गया है; मन फिराओ और सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करो” (मरकुस 1:14-15)।

 

    क्या आप परमेश्वर की इस चेतावनी के प्रति सचेत और तैयार हैं? संसार के हालात स्पष्ट संकेत कर रहे हैं कि अब किसी भी क्षण प्रभु को दोबारा आगमन हो जाएगा, और जिन्होंने उद्धार नहीं पाया है, वे अनन्त विनाश में, तथा पापों से पश्चाताप करके उनके लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा मांग लेने वाले अनन्त आशीष के स्थान - स्वर्ग में चले जाएंगे। क्या आप उस घड़ी के इस अपरिवर्तनीय निर्णय का सामना करने के लिए तैयार हैं? यदि आप ने अभी भी उद्धार नहीं पाया है, अपने पापों के लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा नहीं मांगी है, तो अभी आपके पास अवसर है। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

The Lord Jesus - Fully Obedient To God

So, far, we have seen that the perfect, holy, sinless, spotless man required for the solution of the problem of sin that began in the Garden of Eden, could not have come from the natural manner of human birth and living, since every person born on earth, is always born with the sin nature and the tendency to sin, and does commit sin. Therefore, he can only atone for his own sins, and never for the sins of any other person. The birth of the Lord Jesus as a man on earth was a miracle carried out by the Lord God; though the Lord was born just like any other person through a woman, and He fulfilled the prophecy and requirements of Genesis 3:15; but in His human body there was neither any sin, nor any sin nature or any tendency to sin.

    We have also seen that although since His birth, the Lord Jesus was sinless, spotless, holy, and perfect; yet Satan had left no stone unturned to somehow either make Him sin, or to kill Him. But the Lord never allowed any of Satan’s tricks to succeed, or to have any allegation of sin come upon Him in any manner. The Lord Jesus always remained obedient to God the Father in every circumstance, and for each and everything; even at the cost of suffering pain for doing so. Thereby, through His human form He demonstrated that by being fully obedient to God, human beings in their physical bodies can defeat the tricks and plans of the devil, and remain safe from living in sin.

    Since the door for sin was opened by the man’s doubting the plans and instructions of God for him; therefore, for the person sacrificing himself to atone for and provide the solution for the sins of mankind, it was mandatory that he fully trusts and obeys God for everything, in all circumstances. The Lord Jesus demonstrated even this through His life on earth, rather, from even before coming down to be born on earth. Another special thing, and unique feature about the Gospel of salvation and forgiveness of sins is that it was written in the Scriptures, even before the birth of the savior Lord Jesus. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Christian Believers in Corinth, “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

    That, the Lord Jesus lived a life of complete obedience to God and fulfilled everything that God had got written about Him; never doubted anything that God said, nor was He ever reluctant to obey God for anything, we can see through some examples written in God’s Word, the Bible:

*At the time of His coming to be born on earth, the Lord Jesus said, “Then I said, 'Behold, I have come -- In the volume of the book it is written of Me -- To do Your will, O God'” (Hebrews 10:7). His obedience to God had begun before His coming to earth.

*When He came to earth, He came after emptying Himself, taking the form of a man, and becoming an obedient, humble servant of God, “who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:6-8).

*The “food” of the Lord, i.e., the source of His power was the obedience of God “Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34).

*The Lord did not choose His closest disciples, the apostles, according to His own will, but only after spending the night praying to God about it, “Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles” (Luke 6:12-13).

*The Lord said about His ministry and works, “Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner” (John 5:19); and “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me” (John 5:30).

*The Lord’s sacrificing His life and His resurrection were also in accordance with God’s will, “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father” (John 10:17-18).

*For the sinless, spotless, holy Lord, in whose character, behavior, and thoughts there was no sin, to take upon Himself all the sins of the entire mankind was something reprehensible and utterly revolting; yet He chose to do it to fulfil the will of God, “saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done." And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground” (Luke 22:42-44).

*Before being caught and taken to be crucified, the Lord in His prayer to God said, “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do” (John 17:4); and before giving up his life, from the cross, the Lord ascertained that everything written in God’s Word about Him had been fulfilled, and only then, “After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” (John 19:28-30).

*Before His resurrection, the Lord explained to His disciples that how all things written about Him in the Scriptures had to be fulfilled, “Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day” (Luke 24:44-46).

    From before coming to the earth, throughout His life on earth, in His teachings, His sacrifice on the cross, His resurrection from the dead – about everything, God had it all written in His Word. The Lord Jesus fully fulfilled all those things, was never disobedient to God, never doubted anything, any instruction or plan of God, never grumbled or expressed discontentment about obeying God, for all things always first asked God, took His consent and then did that work accordingly. This same Lord, at the beginning of His ministry said, “Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel"” (Mark 1:14-15).

    In accordance with this warning from the Lord, are you prepared and ready? The conditions in the world are clearly indicating that the Lord’s second coming is very near, and will happen at any moment. When that happens, all those who are not saved through the forgiveness of sins will go into eternal destruction; and those who have repented of their sins and asked forgiveness for them from the Lord Jesus, will go into the place of eternal blessing – heaven, to stay with Him for eternity. Are you ready to face that moment and its irreversible eternal decision?

    If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
