इस श्रृंखला के पिछले कुछ लेखों में हमने विभिन्न विषयों पर विचार करने के द्वारा देखा है कि विज्ञान न तो परमेश्वर के और न ही उसके वचन बाइबल के विरुद्ध है। वरन् वह तो सृष्टि की रचना और कार्यविधि को समझने और सीखने का केवल एक साधन मात्र है। विज्ञान समझ और सम्बन्धित आँकड़े उपलब्ध करवाता है, फिर वैज्ञानिक उनकी सही अथवा गलत व्याख्या करते हैं और उनसे अपने निष्कर्ष निकाल कर उस ज्ञान के बारे में बताते हैं। जब वैज्ञानिक कार्यविधियों से कुछ और समझ और ज्ञान सामने आता है, तो पिछली समझ को सुधारा, या पूर्णतः बदल दिया जाता है। क्योंकि विज्ञान ने रची हुई वस्तु की रचना और कार्यविधि प्रकट कर दी है, इससे यह किसी भी रीति से प्रमाणित नहीं होता है कि उस रची हुई वस्तु का कोई रचनाकार नहीं था, वह स्वतः ही अस्तित्व में आ गई; और न ही यह प्रमाणित होता है कि अब वह, बिना किसी रचनाकार की किसी भी भूमिका के, स्वतः ही अपने जैसी और बना लेगी। वर्तमान विषय पर पिछले लेख में हमने कुछ बहुत ही साधारण और सामान्यतः प्रकट तथ्यों के आधार पर देखा था कि क्रमिक विकास की धारणा के पास इसका कोई उत्तर नहीं है कि जीवन क्या है? और न ही इसका कि आरम्भिक रासायनिक क्रियाओं में जीवन कैसे और कहाँ से आ गया, फिर कैसे विकसित होकर प्रक्रिया को स्वतः ही चलते रहने और अपने समान और उत्पन्न करने वाला बना दिया। और न ही इस बात का कोई उत्तर है कि मृत्यु क्या है? अर्थात, मृत्यु होने पर शरीर से ऐसा क्या चला जाता है कि फिर चाहे जो कर लो, वह शरीर फिर से जीवित नहीं हो पाता या रह पाता है। जबकि, यदि मृत्यु के कुछ ही समय में यदि मृत शरीर से अंग निकाल कर किसी दूसरे व्यक्ति में प्रत्यारोपित किये जाएँ तो वे उस दूसरे शरीर में पूरा कार्य करते हैं, उसे जीवित रखते हैं। इसी प्रकार से क्रमिक विकासवाद के पास इसका भी कोई उत्तर नहीं है कि क्या मनुष्यों, जीव-जन्तुओं, और वनस्पति में एक ही प्रकार का जीवन है या भिन्न प्रकार का? यदि भिन्न प्रकार का है तो वह आरम्भिक जीवन, विभिन्न जीवित वस्तुओं में, भिन्न तरह का कैसे और क्यों बना? आज हम वहीं से आरम्भ करेंगे, जहाँ पिछले लेख में छोड़ा था, और आत्मा तथा जीवन के बारे में देखेंगे। 

विज्ञान और वैज्ञानिक जानते हैं, किन्तु मानते नहीं हैं कि शरीर से यदि “आत्मा” चला जाता है, तो वह शरीर मृतक हो जाता है। यदि वे “आत्मा” की उपस्थिति और अनिवार्यता को मान लेंगे, तो उन्हें उस आत्मा को बनाने और देने वाले “परमात्मा” के अस्तित्व को भी स्वीकार करना पड़ेगा; जिसके आगे फिर क्रमिक विकासवाद का गढ़ा हुआ सिद्धान्त और उस से सम्बन्धित अन्य कई धारणाएं भी टिक नहीं पाएंगी; और साth ही उन्हें यह भी स्वीकार करना पड़ेगा कि अन्ततः उन्हें उस परमात्मा के समक्ष खड़ा होना ही पड़ेगा। जो मनुष्य इस तथ्य को गंभीरता से विचार करके स्वीकार कर लेता है, उसके जीवन का दृष्टिकोण और दिशा ही गढ़ी हुई धारणाओं से निकल कर वास्तविकता का सामना करने वाला हो जाता है।

जिन गढ़ी हुई धारणाओं को बहुतेरे वैज्ञानिक विज्ञान की आड़ में, जानते हुए भी स्वीकार करने के लिए तैयार नहीं है, उसे परमेश्वर ने बाइबल में हजारों वर्ष पहले बता दिया था। इस संदर्भ में परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के जीवन और आत्मा से सम्बन्धित कुछ पद देखिए:

• “और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को भूमि की मिट्टी से रचा और उसके नथनों में जीवन का श्वास फूंक दिया; और आदम जीवता प्राणी बन गया” (उत्पत्ति 2:7);

• “क्योंकि अब तक मेरी सांस बराबर आती है, और ईश्वर का आत्मा मेरे नथुनों में बना है” (अय्यूब 27:3); 

• “मुझे ईश्वर की आत्मा ने बनाया है, और सर्वशक्तिमान की सांस से मुझे जीवन मिलता है” (अय्यूब 33:4);

• “उसके हाथ में एक एक जीवधारी का प्राण, और एक एक देहधारी मनुष्य की आत्मा भी रहती है” (अय्यूब 12:10); 

• “ईश्वर जो आकाश का सृजने और तानने वाला है, जो उपज सहित पृथ्वी का फैलाने वाला और उस पर के लोगों को सांस और उस पर के चलने वालों को आत्मा देने वाला यहोवा है, वह यों कहता है” (यशायाह 42:5);

• “न किसी वस्तु का प्रयोजन रखकर मनुष्यों के हाथों की सेवा लेता है, क्योंकि वह तो आप ही सब को जीवन और श्वास और सब कुछ देता है” (प्रेरितों 17:25);

• “क्या मनुष्य का प्राण ऊपर की ओर चढ़ता है और पशुओं का प्राण नीचे की ओर जा कर मिट्टी में मिल जाता है? कौन जानता है?” (सभोपदेशक 3:21)

उपरोक्त पदों से यह स्पष्ट है कि जिस आत्मा या प्राण के अस्तित्व को स्वीकार करने का साहस परमेश्वर विरोधी वैज्ञानिकों में नहीं है, और उसका इनकार करने के लिये अपनी गढ़ी हुई वैज्ञानिक व्याख्याएँ देते रहते हैं,मनुष्यों तथा सभी जीव-जंतुओं में उसके अस्तित्व के बारे में बाइबल को कोई संकोच नहीं है। जो तथ्य है, वो है। अस्वीकार करने या अवहेलना करने से वह तथ्य न तो लुप्त हो जाएगा, और न ही परिवर्तित होकर कोई भिन्न स्वरूप ले लेगा।

इसी प्रकार से क्रमिक विकासवाद पर विश्वास रखने वाले उन वैज्ञानिकों के पास इस बात का भी कोई उत्तर नहीं है कि यदि जीवन रासायनिक प्रक्रियाओं का परिणाम है, तो सभी प्राणियों में, यहाँ तक कि वनस्पति में भी, भावनाएँ कब, कैसे, और क्यों आ गईं? इसी से सम्बन्धित एक अन्य प्रश्न भी है, जो हम सभी ने कभी न कभी अनुभव किया है - बहुत बार, कुछ बातों के कारण, यद्यपि बाहर से, या शरीर पर कोई चोट नहीं लगती है परन्तु मनुष्य, और जीव-जन्तु भी “अपने भीतर से” या “अपनी आत्मा में” बहुत आहत हो जाते हैं, यहाँ तक कि उस स्थिति में प्राण भी त्याग देते हैं। तो, यदि जीवन केवल रासायनिक प्रक्रिया ही है, तो फिर यह “अपने भीतर से” या “अपनी आत्मा में” बहुत आहत हो जाना क्या है? यह जीव के किस अंश पर प्रभाव डालता है? क्या यह केवल रासायनिक प्रक्रियाओं द्वारा समझा और समझाया जा सकता है? क्या क्रमिक विकसावाद के और उसके अनुयायियों के पास इन बातों का कोई उत्तर है? क्या उनके पास आत्मिकता, या नैतिकता, या आदर और सम्मान करना, या भला और बुरा होने - जो हमारे परस्पर सम्बन्धों, समाज, और नियमों तथा संविधानों का आधार है, को समझाने का कोई आधार है?

जो वैज्ञानिक विज्ञान के नाम पर यह आधारभूत बात सिखाते हैं कि जीवन से ही जीवन आ सकता है, व ही जीवन और मृत्यु को परिभाषित करने तथा समझा पाने में अक्षम है; वे अपने ही द्वारा बनाए गए बंधनों के कारण, जीवन से सम्बन्धित बातों को लेकर अपरिहार्य दुविधा में है। किन्तु वे ही, अपनी ही बात का खण्डन करते हुए यह मनवाना चाहते हैं कि उन्हीं रासायनिक और भौतिक क्रियाओं ने, जिन्हें आज यदि किसी जीवित प्राणी पर लागू किया जाए तो वह मर जाएगा, “जीवन” उत्पन्न कर दिया; वह भी अनायास और स्वतः ही। फिर भी किसी को उँकी बातों में कोई विरोधाभास, कोई मूर्खता दिखाई नहीं देती है, बल्कि उसे “विज्ञान” और “ज्ञान” कहा जाता है, जिस के आधार पर फिर वे दावा करते हैं कि उन्होंने परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व को नकार दिया है और परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल को झूठ प्रमाणित कर दिया है। 

विज्ञान जो भी कहे या स्वीकार-अस्वीकार करे, सामान्य ज्ञान और बाइबल का तथ्य यही है कि हमारी आत्माओं का दाता परमात्मा है, जिसके सामने हम सभी को अपने जीवनों का हिसाब देने एक दिन खड़ा होना ही है (2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10)। परमेश्वर के द्वारा दिया आत्मा, उसी के पास जाकर पृथ्वी पर बिताए अपने जीवन के प्रतिफल और परिणाम प्राप्त करता है। जो इस जीवन में परमेश्वर से दूर रहने का निर्णय लेकर अपने पाप के साथ जीता है और उन्हीं पापों में मर कर परलोक भी चला जाता है, वह परमेश्वर से दूर रहने के लिए गये अपने निर्णय के अनुसार, परलोक में भी परमेश्वर से अनन्तकाल की दूरी में ही रहेगा, अर्थात अनन्त मृत्यु, या नरक की अनन्त पीड़ा में जाएगा। जो पृथ्वी पर रहते हूए, स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों को स्वीकार करके, उन के लिए पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से उन के लिए क्षमा मांगकर, अपनी मर्जी से प्रभु यीशु का शिष्य बनने का निर्णय लेकर अपना जीवन प्रभु को समर्पित करेगा, वह प्रभु परमेश्वर से उद्धार पाएगा, वह परमेश्वर के साथ स्वर्ग में रहने जाएगा। स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से, पापों के लिए पश्चाताप के साथ की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना “हे प्रभु यीशु मेरे पाप क्षमा करें, मुझे स्वीकार करें अपनी शरण में लें, और पाप के दोष से स्वच्छ करके अपना समर्पित, आज्ञाकारी जन बना लें” आपके जीवन की नियति और दिशा अनन्तकाल के लिए बदल देगी। परमेश्वर के इस आह्वान, इस निमंत्रण को ऐसे ही जाने न दें; अभी अवसर है, इसका सदुपयोग कर लीजिए, अपना शेष जीवन तथा परलोक का अनन्तकाल का जीवन सुरक्षित और सुखी कर लीजिए।

Bible and BioSciences - 2 - Evolution and Life Part 2

    In this series we have seen through considering various topics that science is neither against God, nor God’s Word the Bible. It is merely a tool to learn about the composition and working of the creation. Science provides the understanding and related data, scientists then interpret or misinterpret it to draw their conclusions and make statements about the data. As further knowledge comes to the fore through scientific work, the previous interpretations and conclusions can be modified, or even discarded. Because science has revealed the composition and working of a thing, in no way proves that no one created it, it simply came about on its own; nor does it imply that a copy of that same thing can now come to exist on its own, without any further role of any creator. In the previous article on the current topic, we have seen through some very simple straightforward facts that the theory of evolution has no answer to how, out of the initial chemical reactions, life came about, developed, became self-sustaining and self-replicating. Neither can it say what death is, i.e., what leaves the body, after which it dies, and then cannot be revived and sustained by any means, whereas organs taken out from the dead body and implanted into others within a short time after death can fully function, provide, and sustain another person’s life. Similarly evolution has no answer to whether life in humans, animals, plants etc. is all the same kind or not? If not then how did life alter and “evolve” into the various forms of the living things that we see. Today we will continue from where we left off and consider some things about soul and life.

Science and scientists know, but do not accept that if the "spirit" leaves the body, then that body becomes dead. Because if they accept the presence and necessity of the “spirit” for life, they must also accept the existence of the “Parmatma”, the Supreme Spirit, who creates and gives that spirit. And then, having accepted this, the contrived notion of gradual evolution and many other related concepts will not be able to survive. Moreover, they will also have to accept that eventually they will have to stand before that divine Supreme Spirit. The person who considers this fact seriously and accepts it, the outlook and direction of his life changes from believing and living in conjectures, into facing reality.

What many scientists, by hiding behind their own contrived misinterpretations of “science,” are unwilling to accept, despite well knowing it, was told by God in the Bible thousands of years ago. In this context, look at some of the Bible verses about life and spirit/soul:

• “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being" (Genesis 2:7);

• “As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils” (Job 27:3);

• “The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life” (Job 33:4);

• “In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?” (Job 12:10);

• “Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it” (Isaiah 42:5);

• “Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things” (Acts 17:25);

• “Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?" (Ecclesiastes 3:21).

It is clear from the above verses that the spirit or soul, whose existence those scientists who are contrary to God do not have the courage to accept, and keep on denying through their contrived misinterpretations of science, the Bible has no hesitation about accepting and stating its existence in humans and all living beings. That which is a fact, will always be a fact. By rejecting, ignoring, or disregarding, that fact will neither be lost, nor will it change into something else.

Similarly, the scientists who believe in evolution have no answer to the question that if life is a result of chemical reactions, then how and from where did all living things, including vegetation develop “feelings” or “emotions?” Another related question, something that all of us have experienced at sometime or another is that many times, although there is no external or physical injury, yet not only humans but even the animals get severely traumatized from “inside” or “in their soul” so much so that at times some may even die because of it. So, if life is merely some chemical reactions, then what is this getting severely traumatized from “inside” or “in their soul”? What part of a living being does this affect? Can this be understood and explained only as “chemical reactions?” Does evolution and its adherents have any answer to these things? Do they have any basis to explain things like spirituality, or morality, or respect and honor, or the concept of good and bad that is the underlying basis of our mutual relationships, society, and laws or constitution? 

The very scientists, who in the name of science teach this fundamental concept that life can only come from life, are incapable of defining and explaining life and death; and because of the limitations they have put around themselves, they are caught in an insurmountable dilemma about things related to life. Still, refuting their own point of view, they insist on imposing upon others the belief that those same chemical and physical processes, which today if applied to any living creature would kill it, had spontaneously given rise to "life", through random processes and sustained it as well. Yet, no one sees any contradiction and foolishness in their assumptions and arguments, but they are touted as “science” and “knowledge” on the basis of which they claim to have disproved the existence of God and discredited God’s Word the Bible

Whatever science may say or accept, it is common knowledge and Biblical fact that the giver of our souls is God, before whom we all have to stand one day to give an account of our lives (2 Corinthians 5:10). The soul given by God, eventually goes to Him and receives the rewards and consequences of its life spent on earth. Those, who in this life decide to stay away from God, live in their sins, and also die in them, go to the next life from this earth with their sins, in accordance with their decision to not to be reconciled with the Savior Lord Jesus, will go into eternal separation from God, i.e., to eternal death, the eternal torment of hell. The soul who is saved by voluntarily confessing his sins while on earth, repenting for them, and seeking forgiveness from the Lord Jesus for them, who of his own will decides to become a disciple of the Lord Jesus and surrenders his life to the Lord, will be reconciled with the Savior Lord God, will go to live with God in heaven. A voluntarily said short but sincere prayer, with repentance for sins "Lord Jesus forgive my sins, accept me, take under your care, and cleanse me from the guilt of sin and make me a person, obedient and committed to you" Will change the eternal destiny and direction of your life will change for eternity. Do not waste this opportunity, this call from God. Now is the opportunity, make good use of this invitation, to make the rest of your life on earth, and your eternal life in the next world safe, secure, and blissful.

पौलुस द्वारा कुरिन्थुस की कलीसिया को लिखी गई पहली पत्री में से प्रभु भोज के बारे में अध्ययन करते हुए, हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है कि मसीही विश्वासी को, अपने उद्धारकर्ता प्रभु यीशु का अनुसरण करते हुए, परमेश्वर पर सदा भरोसा रखने और उसके प्रति धन्यवादी रहने वाला होना चाहिए, हर परिस्थिति में, हर बात के लिए, चाहे वह प्रसन्न करने वाली हो या दुख देने वाली, समझ में आए अथवा न आए; हमेशा ही अपने विश्वास के लंगर को रोमियों 8:28 पर डाले रखना चाहिए। 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:26 में, पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में पौलुस मसीही विश्वास के एक अन्य अनोखे गुण को सामने लाता है - प्रभु की मृत्यु का प्रचार करना। पौलुस यहाँ पर लिख रहा है कि जब भी मसीह यीशु के अनुयायी प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते हैं, तो साथ ही स्वतः ही वे प्रभु की मृत्यु का भी प्रचार करते हैं, जब तक कि वह न आए। इस पद के अंत की ओर दिया गए वाक्यांश, “जब तक वह न आए” का तात्पर्य है कि यद्यपि प्रभु मारा गया था, परंतु अभी वह जीवित है, और एक दिन फिर से वापस आएगा, अर्थात इस वाक्यांश में प्रभु यीशु मसीह का पुनरुत्थान और लौट कर आना भी निहित है।

इसलिए, प्रभु की मेज़ प्रभु यीशु मसीह के मारे जाने, गाड़े जाए और जी उठने की यादगार है। जब कोई प्रभु भोज में भाग लेता है, तो वह प्रभु यीशु को याद करने के लिए यह करता है, और साथ ही वह प्रभु यीशु के मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने, जी उठने की गवाही भी देता है। भाग लेने वाले को यह गवाही देने के लिए अलग से कुछ विशेष करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है; यह उनके द्वारा मेज़ में भाग लेने के साथ ही जुड़ा हुआ है, उसमें निहित है। दूसरे शब्दों में, जो भी प्रभु भोज में भाग ले, वह इस एहसास के साथ भाग ले कि उसमें भाग लेने के द्वारा वह प्रभु यीशु के मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने और जी उठने की गवाही भी दे रहा है। परमेश्वर की दृष्टि और आँकलन में, वह यह सहमति व्यक्त कर रहा है कि वह अपने और समस्त संसार के उद्धारकर्ता प्रभु यीशु का संसार के सामने गवाह होकर जीने के लिए तैयार है, और वह अपने जीवन को इस एहसास तथा उद्देश्य के साथ जीएगा। प्रभु भोज में भाग लेते समय वह व्यक्ति एक बार फिर से उस पर प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने के द्वारा डाली गई इस ज़िम्मेदारी की पुष्टि करता है और उसे निभाने की स्वीकृति देता है।

संसार के किसी भी अन्य धर्म, विश्वास, या मान्यता के विपरीत, केवल मसीही विश्वास ही है जो उसके केन्द्रीय, या, मुख्य व्यक्ति - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, के जन्म एवं जीवन पर नहीं, परन्तु उसकी मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान पर आधारित है। थोड़ा सा आगे चलकर पौलुस प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान के महत्व एवं अभिप्रायों पर एक लंबा वृतांत लिखता है, इस पत्री के 15 अध्याय में, और पाठकों के लिए इस 15 अध्याय को अध्ययन करना अच्छा रहेगा। इस 15 अध्याय का निष्कर्ष और उपसंहार है कि यदि मसीह यीशु का पुनरुत्थान नहीं हुआ होता, अर्थात, यदि प्रभु यीशु मसीह मारे, गाड़े, और जी उठे नहीं होते, तो फिर मसीही विश्वास का कोई आधार ही नहीं है, यह सब व्यर्थ प्रचार और गवाही देना है, उसका कोई भविष्य नहीं है। किन्तु मसीह यीशु का पुनरुत्थान मसीही विश्वासियों को यह पूर्ण आश्वासन देता है कि प्रभु के समान उनका भी पुनरुत्थान होगा, प्रभु के साथ उन्हें भी अनन्त जीवन मिलेगा। यही तथ्य, अभी इस पृथ्वी पर, उन्हें प्रभु के गवाह और राजदूत बनकर (2 कुरिन्थियों 5:20; इफिसियों 6:20) मसीही जीवन जीने का आधार देता है, कि वे अपने आप को तथा उन्हें जिनके सामने वे इसकी गवाही देते हैं, प्रभु के साथ अनन्त जीवन जीने के लिए तैयार करें।

क्योंकि प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने वाला, स्वतः ही, प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान की गवाही देता है, इसलिए जब पृथ्वी का उसका जीवन समाप्त होगा, तब उसे प्रभु के सामने खड़े होकर अपने जीवन का तथा उसे सौंपी गई जिम्मेदारियों का हिसाब भी प्रभु को देना होगा (प्रेरितों 17:30-31; 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10)। यह प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने वाले पर एक बहुत गंभीर ज़िम्मेदारी डाल देता है; क्योंकि नीतिवचन 19:9 में लिखा है “झूठा साक्षी निर्दोष नहीं ठहरता, और जो झूठ बोला करता है, वह नाश होता है”, और हम 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:30 से देखते हैं कि यह बात कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली के उन लोगों के लिए सत्य भी हुई जिन्होंने अयोग्य रीति से मेज़ में भाग लिया। यह एक बार फिर से इस बात पर ज़ोर देता है कि प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना कोई रीति अथवा रस्म नहीं है, क्योंकि यदि अनुचित प्रकार से इसमें भाग लिया जाए तो इसके गंभीर और हानिकारक परिणाम भी हैं; किन्तु यदि जिस प्रकार से प्रभु ने इसे स्थापित किया और सिखाया, यदि वैसे ही, उचित रीति से इसमें भाग लें, तो बहुत आशीष भी है।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Lord’s Table - Witnessing His Death & Resurrection

      

In our study about the Holy Communion from Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, we have seen in the last article that the Christian Believer, emulating his savior Lord Jesus Christ, like the Lord, should be one who trusts God and is thankful to Him, in and for every circumstance or situation, whether it pleasing or distressing, understandable or not understandable; anchoring himself and his faith on Romans 8:28. In 1 Corinthians 11:26, Paul, through the Holy Spirit, presents another unique feature of the Christian Faith - the proclamation of the Lord’s death. Paul says here that whenever the followers of Christ Jesus partake of the Lord’s Table, they also automatically proclaim the Lord’s death, till He comes. This ending phrase of the verse “till He comes”, implies that though the Lord had died, but He is alive now, and will come again someday, i.e., gives assurance of the resurrection and return of the Lord Jesus.

Therefore, the Lord’s Table is a reminder of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. When one participates in the Holy Communion, it is in remembrance of the Lord, and as witnessing for the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. The participants do not have to make any extra or special efforts to do so, it is inherent in their participating in the Table, it is an implied fact of their participation. In other words, those who participate in the Holy Communion, should do so with the realization that through their participation they are also witnessing about the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection. In God’s eyes and assessment, they have agreed to be witnesses for their savior Lord in the world, and they agree to live their lives with this realization and for this purpose. They are participating in the Holy Communion to once again affirm their resolve about this responsibility that the Communion places upon them. While participating in the Holy Communion, the participant once again affirms the responsibility placed upon him by his participation, and agrees to fulfill it.

Unlike practically every other religion, belief, or faith of the world, the Christian Faith is founded not on the birth and life of its central or key figure - the Lord Jesus Christ; but on His death and resurrection. And a little ahead, Paul writes a detailed account of the significance and implications of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus - chapter 15 of this letter, and the readers would do well to study this chapter too. The theme and conclusion of chapter 15 is that if the resurrection of Christ Jesus did not happen, i.e., had Christ not died, been buried, and then resurrected, there is no basis of the Christian Faith, then it is all a false preaching and witnessing, and it has no future. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ assures the Believers in Christ, that they too will be resurrected to life, they too will have an eternal life with the Lord. It establishes the grounds of Christian living now, while alive on earth, as witnesses and Ambassadors of the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:20; Ephesians 6:20), who are preparing themselves and others, to whom they witness, for eternity with the Lord Jesus.

       Since the participant in the Holy Communion, automatically, is also a testifying witness to the Lord’s death and resurrection; he will also be called to account for this when at the end of his earthly life he stands before the Lord to give and account of his life and answer for what he had been trusted with (Acts 17:30-31; 2 Corinthians 5:10). This places a grave responsibility upon every participant; for it is written in Proverbs 19:9 “A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who speaks lies shall perish”, and we see from 1 Corinthians 11:30 that this had come upon those of the Corinthian Church who had participated unworthily. This again emphasizes why participating in the Lord’s Table cannot be taken lightly or as ritual, since it has serious implications and grave consequences if done inappropriately; but also has rich blessings if done in the manner and for the purpose it was established by the Lord.

If you are a Christian Believer and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually a disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers, first check and test all teachings that you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

सुसमाचार क्या है? (1)

हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं (इफिसियों 4:14)। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है। 

पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, पहले तो प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखा; फिर उसके बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखा; और पिछले लेखों से हमने सुसमाचार से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है, इस विषय के परिचय को देखा है। इस परिचय में हमने देखा है कि प्रभु यीशु का सुसमाचार किसी सांसारिक राज्य, संपत्ति अथवा संपन्नता के बारे में नहीं है, वरन परमेश्वर के राज्य में मनुष्य के प्रवेश प्राप्त करने के बारे में है। इस प्रवेश के लिए सबसे पहला कदम है प्रत्येक व्यक्ति द्वारा व्यक्तिगत रीति से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करना, जो सभी के लिए समान रीति से अनिवार्य है, चाहे वे किसी भी धर्म, धारणा, मान्यता, या समुदाय के हों, चाहे अपने आप को पिछली कई पीढ़ियों “प्रभु के लोग” अर्थात ईसाई या मसीही होना ही क्यों न समझते हों। आज हम यहाँ से आगे बढ़ेंगे और देखेंगे कि सुसमाचार क्या है। 

सुसमाचार क्या है?

 

जैसा हम पिछले लेख में देख चुके हैं, सुसमाचार शब्द का अर्थ है भला समाचार या अच्छी खबर। यह लोगों को प्रदान की जाने वाली जानकारी है; यह कोई प्रथा, परंपरा, या विधि नहीं है जिसे करने के द्वारा व्यक्ति धार्मिकता के किसी विशेष स्तर पर पहुँच जाता है, और परमेश्वर फिर उसे अपने राज्य में प्रवेश देने के लिए बाध्य हो जाता है। संसार के लिए सुसमाचार अच्छा समाचार तब ही हो सकता है, जब उसकी तुलना में कुछ बुरा समाचार भी हो, और वह बुरा समाचार सारे संसार के सभी लोगों पर लागू हो; अन्यथा सुसमाचार वास्तव में सुसमाचार हो ही नहीं सकता है। इस “बुरे समाचार” को हम परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के कुछ पदों से देखते हैं:

* रोमियों 3:23 इसलिये कि सब ने पाप किया है और परमेश्वर की महिमा से रहित हैं।

* रोमियों 5:12 इसलिये जैसा एक मनुष्य के द्वारा पाप जगत में आया, और पाप के द्वारा मृत्यु आई, और इस रीति से मृत्यु सब मनुष्यों में फैल गई, इसलिये कि सब ने पाप किया।

* रोमियों 6:23 क्योंकि पाप की मजदूरी तो मृत्यु है, परन्तु परमेश्वर का वरदान हमारे प्रभु मसीह यीशु में अनन्त जीवन है। 

अर्थात, संसार का प्रत्येक मनुष्य, उस पाप के दोष के साथ जन्म लेता है, जो अदन की वाटिका में आदम और हव्वा के पाप करने से मनुष्य जाति में प्रवेश कर गया था, अनुवांशिक रीति से उनमें बस गया था, जो एक से दूसरी पीढ़ी में फैलने वाला दोष था। उस पाप के कारण मृत्यु ने सृष्टि में प्रवेश किया, और मृत्यु सभी मनुष्यों में फैल गई। यह मृत्यु दो प्रकार की है - आत्मिक और शारीरिक। आत्मिक मृत्यु के कारण मनुष्य परमेश्वर की संगति और सहभागिता से दूर है; और शारीरिक मृत्यु के कारण वह अन्ततः एक दिन मरेगा ही। परिणामस्वरूप मनुष्य जन्म लेते ही मरना आरंभ कर देता है, और उसकी आयु पूरी हो जाने पर मर जाता है। मनुष्य अपनी स्वाभाविक पापमय दशा में ऐसा कुछ भी कर पाने के अयोग्य है जिसके द्वारा वह अपनी इस परिस्थिति को पलट सके, अपने किन्हीं कर्मों अथवा प्रयासों के द्वारा परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य बन सके। हम इस विषय को विस्तार से पहले के कुछ लेखों में देख चुके हैं, इसलिए यहाँ इन पर और अधिक चर्चा नहीं करेंगे। अर्थात, बुरी खबर या बुरा समाचार यह है कि संसार में जन्म लेने वाला प्रत्येक मनुष्य अपनी स्वाभाविक पापी दशा के कारण परमेश्वर से दूर, और अपना जीवन काल समाप्त हो जाने के पश्चात अनन्त मृत्यु, यानि कि हमेशा के लिए परमेश्वर से दूर नरक में रहने की दशा में है।

समस्त मानव जाति के लिए भला समाचार क्या है, इसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। 

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप प्रभु परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार से संबंधित किसी गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़े हों। यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए कि आप सच्चे पश्चाताप और समर्पण तथा सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा के द्वारा परमेश्वर के जन बने हैं। न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाली ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें, यदि सही हों, तब ही उन्हें मानें, अन्यथा अस्वीकार कर दें।

Understanding What the Gospel is (1)

We have been seeing in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! In this verse a very important way to identify between the false and the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.

In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, next we had seen the Biblical facts and teachings about the wrong things often taught and preached regarding the Holy Spirit. In the preceding articles we had started to consider the wrong teachings about the Gospel, and had gone through the Introduction to this topic. In this Introduction we had seen that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus is not about any earthly kingdom, wealth or prosperity, but about man being able to enter the kingdom of God. We had seen that the first step to man’s entering God’s kingdom is his repenting of sins, which is equally important and applicable for everybody, no matter what their religion, beliefs, concepts, or community may be; even if their family has been “christian” for many generations and they may be considering themself as “people of God.” Today we will proceed ahead from here, and see what the Gospel is.

What is the Gospel?

As we have seen in the previous article, the literal meaning of the word Gospel is ‘good news.’ It is an information being provided to the people; it is not a tradition, ritual, or method the fulfillment of which enables a person to reach a higher level of being “religious” or “righteous” so that God becomes compelled to give him an entrance into His kingdom. Any news or information can be seen as good for the whole world, only when there is ‘bad news’ in comparison; and that ‘bad news’ is universally applicable to all people of the world. Only then can ‘good news’ actually be the good news for the entire world. What this ‘bad news’ is, we will see from some verses from God’s Word the Bible:

* Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

* Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned

* Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    In other words, every person born in this world, is born with sin, which entered into mankind because of the sin committed by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and this sin has the tendency to be genetically passed down, spreading to all generations of mankind since then. Because of that sin, death entered creation, and spread to all of mankind. This death is of two kinds, spiritual and physical. Because of spiritual death man is separated from the fellowship of God; and because of physical death, every person will eventually die. Consequently, every person begins to die from the moment of his birth, and the process is completed with the completion of his life-span. In his natural sinful state, man is absolutely incapable of doing anything to overturn this condition that he is in, and thereby to become righteous and sinless in God’s eyes, become acceptable to Him, through any of his own works or efforts. We have already seen this in detail in some of the earlier articles, therefore, we will not go into the details of it now. Therefore, the ‘bad news’ is that every person born on earth, in his natural condition, is separated from God, and in a state of being eternally separated from God in hell after his time on earth is over.

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
