पाप का समाधान - उद्धार - 18
प्रभु यीशु ही क्रूस पर चढ़ाए और मारे गए (1)
हम उन गुणों को, और उनके कारणों को देखते आ रहे हैं, जो उस सिद्ध मनुष्य में होने चाहिएं जो मनुष्यों के पाप का समाधान और निवारण करने के लिए अपना बलिदान दे। हमने देखा कि ऐसा मनुष्य स्वाभाविक प्रणाली से मानव जन्म लेने वाला नहीं हो सकता है; किन्तु प्रभु यीशु के मानव स्वरूप में अवतरित होकर पृथ्वी पर आने के लिए परमेश्वर ने एक विशेष प्रयोजन किया, और उन्होंने मनुष्य के रूप जन्म तो लिया, किन्तु अन्य सभी मनुष्यों के समान उनके मानव शरीर में पाप का दोष और स्वभाव में पाप करने की प्रवृत्ति नहीं थी। वे पूर्णतः परमेश्वर थे, यद्यपि मनुष्य रूप में अवतरित होते समय उन्होंने अपने आप को अपने परमेश्वरत्व से शून्य कर लिया था; और पूर्णतः मनुष्य भी। उन्होंने सामान्य, साधारण मनुष्यों के समान ही सब कुछ सहते हुए, सभी अनुभवों में से होकर निकलते हुए जीवन बिताया, किन्तु निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, निर्दोष, पवित्र, और सिद्ध बने रहे। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि उन्होंने स्वेच्छा से सभी मनुष्यों के बदले उनके पापों के दण्ड को सहने, यातनाएं सहने और अपने आप को बलिदान करने को स्वीकार किया, और इसके लिए अपने आप को पकड़ लिए जाने दिया। आज हम उनकी मृत्यु के बारे में देखेंगे।
बहुत से लोगों, और कुछ धर्मों तथा मतों का यह मानना है, कि प्रभु यीशु क्रूस पर नहीं मारे गए, वरन उनके स्थान पर उनके समान दिखने वाला कोई और व्यक्ति क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया गया, और लोगों ने समझ लिया कि प्रभु यीशु को क्रूस पर मार डाला गया है। यह शैतान द्वारा फैलाए गए उस भ्रम का एक भाग है, जिसके द्वारा उसने प्रभु द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाए गए पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के मार्ग को व्यर्थ और निष्क्रिय दिखाने का प्रयास किया है। लेकिन परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में दिए गए विवरणों के साथ तुलना करके देखने से इन सभी दावों का खोखलापन तुरंत प्रकट हो जाता है।
प्रभु के पकड़वाए जाने के समय से लेकर, उनके क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने तक वे निरंतर पहरे में तथा विभिन्न लोगों की उपस्थिति में रहे; एक से दूसरे स्थान पर ले जाए गए, विभिन्न अधिकारियों के सामने प्रस्तुत किए गए, और अन्ततः रोमी गवर्नर पिलातुस के सामने लाए गए, जहाँ से फिर उन्हें क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के लिए रोमी सैनिकों को सौंप दिया गया, और उन्होंने उसे यातनाएँ देने के बाद ले जाकर क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया। दिन के उजाले में वे धार्मिक अगुवों के सामने भी प्रस्तुत किए गए, जिन्होंने उन्हें पहचाना, और उनके मसीह और परमेश्वर का पुत्र होने के बारे में उनसे पूछा (लूका 22:66-71)। इस दौरान उन्हें भयानक यातनाओं, कोड़े खाने, उपहास आदि के अनुभव से भी निकलना पड़ा, जिसे वे चुपचाप बिना कोई प्रतिक्रिया दिए, या कोई अपशब्द कहे सहते रहे। इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में वे कभी अपने विरोधियों और बैरियों की दृष्टि से ओझल नहीं हुए, तो फिर उनके स्थान पर कोई दूसरा कब और कैसे आता; और क्यों? जिन यातनाओं से होकर प्रभु को निकलना पड़ा, उनमें कोई भी अन्य मनुष्य कुछ भी भला-बुरा कह सकता था, कोई पापमय प्रतिक्रिया दे सकता था, जो नहीं हुआ। यदि वह प्रभु यीशु नहीं था तो फिर इन बातों को सहन करने वाला अपनी वास्तविक पहचान बता कर अपने आप को इस हृदय विदारक वेदना से बचा सकता, जो नहीं हुआ।
यदि यह कहें कि पकड़ने के समय ही कोई गलती हुई, रात के अंधेरे में लोगों ने किसी गलत व्यक्ति को पकड़ लिया, तो इसका भी कोई आधार अथवा प्रमाण नहीं है। उन्हें उनके शिष्य, यहूदा इस्करियोती द्वारा पहचाने जाने के बाद पकड़ा गया था, और उस समय उनके और यहूदा के मध्य अन्य लोगों के सामने वार्तालाप भी हुआ था (मत्ती 26:47-50); इसलिए किसी गलत व्यक्ति के पकड़े जाने की कोई संभावना नहीं थी। उनके पकड़े जाने के समय दो आश्चर्यकर्म भी हुए; एक तो जब पकड़ने आए लोगों ने प्रभु से उनकी पहचान के लिए पूछा, और प्रभु ने कहा कि “मैं ही हूँ” तब उन्हें पकड़ने आए हुए सभी लोग तुरंत स्वतः ही पीछे की ओर गिर पड़े “तब यीशु उन सब बातों को जो उस पर आनेवाली थीं, जानकर निकला, और उन से कहने लगा, किसे ढूंढ़ते हो? उन्होंने उसको उत्तर दिया, यीशु नासरी को: यीशु ने उन से कहा, मैं ही हूं: और उसका पकड़वाने वाला यहूदा भी उन के साथ खड़ा था। उसके यह कहते ही, कि मैं हूं, वे पीछे हटकर भूमि पर गिर पड़े” (यूहन्ना 18:4-6) - जो किसी साधारण मनुष्य के पकड़े जाने पर नहीं हो सकता था। दूसरा, प्रभु के शिष्य, पतरस ने तलवार चलाकर उन लोगों में से एक का कान काट दिया, जिसे प्रभु ने तुरंत चंगा भी कर दिया “और उन में से एक ने महायाजक के दास पर चला कर उसका दाहिना कान उड़ा दिया। इस पर यीशु ने कहा; अब बस करो: और उसका कान छूकर उसे अच्छा किया” (लूका 22:50-51) - यह भी कोई सामान्य जन नहीं कर सकता था।
इसके अतिरिक्त, दिन के समय में, और उन्हें क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के समय वहाँ खड़े लोगों और धर्म-गुरुओं ने पहचाना कि वे प्रभु यीशु मसीह ही हैं, और उनका उनके ईश्वरत्व के लिए उपहास किया “लोग खड़े खड़े देख रहे थे, और सरदार भी ठट्ठा कर कर के कहते थे, कि इस ने औरों को बचाया, यदि यह परमेश्वर का मसीह है, और उसका चुना हुआ है, तो अपने आप को बचा ले। सिपाही भी पास आकर और सिरका देकर उसका ठट्ठा कर के कहते थे। यदि तू यहूदियों का राजा है, तो अपने आप को बचा” (लूका 23:35-37)। फिर, क्रूस पर से प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी माता मरियम की देखभाल की ज़िम्मेदारी अपने शिष्य को दी “परन्तु यीशु के क्रूस के पास उस की माता और उस की माता की बहिन मरियम, क्लोपास की पत्नी और मरियम मगदलीनी खड़ी थी। यीशु ने अपनी माता और उस चेले को जिस से वह प्रेम रखता था, पास खड़े देखकर अपनी माता से कहा; हे नारी, देख, यह तेरा पुत्र है। तब उस चेले से कहा, यह तेरी माता है, और उसी समय से वह चेला, उसे अपने घर ले गया” (यूहन्ना 19:25-27); जो कोई दूसरा जन नहीं कर सकता था।
इसलिए किसी अन्य जन को उनके स्थान पर पकड़े जाने और क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने का कोई आधार अथवा प्रमाण नहीं है। शैतान द्वारा एक अन्य धारणा प्रचलित की गई है कि प्रभु यीशु क्रूस पर मरे नहीं, बस बेहोश हुए, और बाद में कब्र के ठन्डे वातावरण में होश में आकर, वे कब्र से बाहर आ गए, जिसे उनके शिष्यों ने उनके पुनरुत्थान के रूप में प्रस्तुत कर दिया। इसके बार में हम कल देखेंगे, कि यह बात भी परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में दिए गए प्रभु यीशु मसीह की मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान के विवरण से बिल्कुल मेल नहीं खाती है।
किन्तु अभी के लिए, हमारे विचार करने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण विषय है - यदि वह निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, निर्दोष, पवित्र, और सिद्ध प्रभु मेरे और आपके पापों के लिए घोर यातनाएं सहने और क्रूस की अत्यंत पीड़ादायक मृत्यु सहने के लिए तैयार हो गया, तो क्या हम उससे आशीष और अनत जीवन पाने, नरक की अनन्त पीड़ा से बचने के लिए तैयार नहीं होंगे? वह तो केवल हमारा भला ही चाहता है, जिसके लिए उसने हमारा सारा दुख सह लिया; तो फिर हम क्यों उसके इस प्रेमपूर्ण आमंत्रण को अस्वीकार करें? शैतान की किसी बात में न आएं, किसी गलतफहमी में न पड़ें, अभी समय और अवसर के रहते स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप कर लें, अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित कर के, उसके शिष्य बन जाएं।
स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

The Solution For Sin - Salvation - 18
The Lord Jesus WAS Crucified & Died on the Cross (1)
We have been looking at the characteristics that are required in that perfect man who can sacrifice himself to atone for the sins of mankind and provide the solution to the problem of sin. We have seen that such a man cannot be born according to the natural manner of men; but for the Lord Jesus to be incarnated as man and be born on earth, God had made a special provision. Though He was born as any other man, yet in His human body there was no sin, nor any effect of sin. He was fully God, but had emptied Himself of His divinity at the time of being born on earth; and was fully man as well. He lived His life like any other common man of His time, passing through those same experiences, suffering the same problems as any other person, yet always remained sinless, spotless, blameless, holy, and perfect. We saw in the previous article that He voluntarily suffered the punishment for the sins of all mankind, suffered their afflictions, allowed Himself to be caught and tortured, and let Himself be sacrificed for them all. Today, we will look into His death.
Many people, some religions, and certain sects have a belief that the Lord Jesus did not die on the cross, but somebody who appeared to be like Him was crucified in His place, and people believed that Lord Jesus had died on the cross. This notion is a part of the deception spread by Satan through which he tries to nullify the work of the Lord Jesus accomplished on the cross, to render vain the Lord’s sacrifice to atone for the sins of mankind and make available the way to salvation. But the hollowness of all these claims becomes apparent as soon as we see them in light of the details given in God’s Word, the Bible.
Since the time of His being caught, till His crucifixion, the Lord had continually remained under guard and surrounded by His detractors; He was taken from one place to another, was produced before different officials, even before the Roman Governor, from where He was handed over to the Roman soldiers, who after torturing Him took Him away to be being crucified. In the light of the day, He was also produced before the religious leaders, they recognized Him to be who He was, and questioned Him about His being the Messiah and the Son of God (Luke 22:66-71). During all this, He was also subjected to severe torture, being whipped and humiliated; and He went through it all silently, without any retaliation, without any harsh words coming from His mouth. Throughout all that He was being made to go through, He was never out of sight of His opponents and enemies for even a moment; so, how and when could somebody have been substituted to take His place? All that the Lord Jesus had to suffer before being crucified, any other human being suffering all that would have reacted in some sinful manner against his tormentors, which never happened. Moreover, if the person being tormented was not actually the Lord, then he could have spoken up, stated his true identity, and saved himself from this undeserving and unnecessary excruciating torture and pain; which never happened.
If it is argued that there was some error at the time of taking the Lord into custody, people caught the wrong person in the darkness of the night, then this too is a baseless statement, without any proof. He was caught after he had been identified by His disciple, Judas Iscariot; and at that time, a conversation between Him and Judas in the presence of the people had also taken place (Matthew 26:47-50); therefore, there is no possibility that a wrong person had been taken into custody. At the time of His being caught, two miraculous events also took place; one was that when those who had come to catch Him asked Him about His identity, the Lord responded, “Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, "Whom are you seeking?" They answered Him, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus said to them, "I am He." And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when He said to them, "I am He," they drew back and fell to the ground” (John 18:4-6) - which was something that could never have happened if an ordinary person had been mistakenly caught. Secondly, one of the Lord’s disciples, Peter, used a sword, and cut off the ear of one of those who had come to catch Him, and the Lord healed that person immediately, “And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. But Jesus answered and said, "Permit even this." And He touched his ear and healed him” (Luke 22:50-51) - this too no ordinary man could have done.
Besides this, during the daytime, and at the time of His being crucified, the people standing there and the religious leaders recognized that it was the Lord Jesus Christ, and they mocked Him for His claims of divinity, “And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God." The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself."” (Luke 23:35-37). Then, He also gave the responsibility of taking care of His mother to His disciple John “Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!" Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home” (John 19:25-27); which is something no one else would do.
Therefore, there is no basis or proof of someone else having been caught instead of Him, or having been crucified in His place. Another wrong notion spread by Satan is that the Lord Jesus did not die on the cross but only became unconscious and only appeared to be dead on the cross; in the cool environment of the tomb, He revived, and walked out of the tomb, which His disciples claimed as the Lord being resurrected. We will see about this in the next article, and see how this too cannot stand the scrutiny in light of all that is written in God’s Word the Bible about the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
But for now, we have another very important thing to ponder over - if that sinless, spotless, blameless, holy, and perfect man, the Lord Jesus, was willing to suffer such excruciating torture and suffer the unimaginably painful death of the cross for my sins and yours, then why should we not accept His offer of eternal life and blessings, and consent to be saved form the torments of hell for eternity? He only wants our benefit, to only do good for us; and for this He suffered all the pain; so then why should we not accept His loving invitation He is extending to us? Do not let Satan deceive you through his smooth-talks, do not get carried away in any contrived misrepresentations or misconceptions. While you have the time and opportunity now, surrender your life to Him and agree to become His obedient disciple.
If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
