प्रभु की मेज़ - परीक्षाओं का सामना करने की तैयारी के लिए (2)

 

       पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों के प्रश्न के उत्तर में, कि फसह की तैयारी कहाँ पर करनी है, उन को एक ऐसे स्थान और व्यक्ति के पास भेजा था, जिसे संभवतः वे पहले नहीं जानते थे। फिर भी, प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में उन्होंने बिना किसी सन्देह अथवा प्रश्न के वहाँ जाकर तैयारी की। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि यद्यपि प्रभु ने उन्हें सचेत कर रखा था कि यरूशलेम में उसके साथ क्या होने जा रहा है, फिर भी प्रभु के शिष्य उस चेतावनी की अनदेखी करके, अपनी ही बातों में लगे हुए थे, जिनके बारे में हम थोड़ा आगे चलकर देखेंगे। इन सभी बातों के द्वारा प्रभु उन शिष्यों को कुछ सिखा रहा था, भविष्य के लिए तैयार कर रहा था। आज हम प्रभु द्वारा दी जा रही इसी शिक्षा और तैयारी के बारे में देखेंगे। 

       लेकिन एक बड़ी बात उन शिष्यों के पक्ष में थी - वे प्रभु के साथ अपनी ही इच्छा को लेकर, अपने ही अनुमान लगाकर नहीं चलते थे; किन्तु प्रभु की इच्छा को जानने और उसके निर्देशों को मानने का प्रयास करने वाले लोग थे। इसलिए, इन रहस्यमय लगने वाले निर्देशों के द्वारा, प्रभु व्यावहारिक रीति से उनके सामने इस बात को ला रहा था कि अनायास कुछ भी नहीं था; वह सभी बातों, सभी लोगों, और होने वाले सभी घटनाओं के बारे में जानता था; सभी बातें उसकी जानकारी में हो रही थीं, उसके नियंत्रण में ही थीं। वे हर बात के लिए, चाहे जो कुछ भी हो, उस पर भरोसा रख सकते थे। ये सभी बातें वे व्यावहारिक प्रमाण थे जिनके द्वारा प्रभु शिष्यों पर अपनी सार्वभौमिकता को प्रकट कर रहा था, उनके विश्वास को दृढ़ कर रहा था, जिससे के वे आने वाली बातों का सामना कर सकें। क्योंकि वे शिष्य उसकी इच्छा जानने और पूरा करने का प्रयास कर रहे थे, असंभव सी प्रतीत होने वाले बात के लिए भी बिना किसी संदेह या संकोच के, इसलिए प्रभु भी उनके सामने, उस पर भरोसा रखने और उसके आज्ञाकारी रहने के अद्भुत प्रतिफल लेकर आया; उसने उनके समक्ष और उनके साथ प्रभु भोज को स्थापित किया, और उन्हें उस भोज से संबंधित आशीषपूर्ण शिक्षाओं को जानने का आदर प्रदान किया।

       शिष्यों को पता भी नहीं था कि वे प्रभु के लिए फसह की तैयारी नहीं कर रहे हैं - वह तो पहले से ही जिस घर में उन्होंने उसे कहना था उसके स्वामी के द्वारा लगभग की ही जा चुकी थी, वरन प्रभु अपने पर भरोसा रखने वाले और आज्ञाकारी शिष्यों को शीघ्र ही उनकी होने वाली परीक्षा के लिए तैयार कर रहा था (प्रकाशितवाक्य 3:10)। हम आज इन बातों को अपने मसीही जीवन में किस प्रकार देख और लागू कर सकते हैं?

       संसार भर की घटनाएं, चिल्ला-चिल्ला कर कह रही हैं कि हम अंत के दिनों में हैं; शीघ्र ही संसार का अंत आने वाला है और संसार परमेश्वर के सामने अपने न्याय के लिए खड़ा होगा। अंत के दिनों के चिह्नों में से कुछ चिह्न हैं बहुतायत से झूठे शिक्षकों का खड़ा होना, गलत शिक्षाओं की भरमार होना, और संसार भर में मसीही विश्वासियों का सताया जाना, जो अब सभी स्थानों पर देखे जा रहे हैं। प्रभु पर भरोसा रखने वाले, उसके आज्ञाकारी विश्वासियों के लिए, योग्य रीति से और प्रभु के निर्देशों के अनुसार प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना, उन्हें प्रभु की सामर्थ्य और हर बात पर प्रभु के अधिकार को स्मरण दिलाता है; बाहर संसार और पाप के अंधकार में चाहे जो भी हो रहा हो, अन्ततः प्रभु की सार्वभौमिकता को याद दिलाता है, उसके लोगों के विश्वास को दृढ़ करता है। इस्राएलियों को निर्देश दिया गया था कि एक बार जब वे बलि के मेमने के लहू से चिह्नित किए हुए घर के अन्दर आ जाएं, तो फिर बाहर न निकलें, जहां अंधकार में मृत्यु काम कर रही थी। इसी प्रकार से मसीही विश्वासियों को भी निर्देश दिया गया है कि एक बार जब उन्होंने अपना जीवन प्रभु यीशु को समर्पित कर दिया है तो फिर संसार में न जाएं, संसार के साथ कोई समझौता न करें। उनका बचाव, उनकी सुरक्षा, उनका छुटकारा “अन्दर”, अर्थात प्रभु में बने रहने में ही है; उसपर भरोसा बनाए रखने और उसके आज्ञाकारी बने रहने में है, चाहे परिस्थितियाँ कितनी भी कठिन और परेशान करने वाली क्यों न हों। प्रभु भोज में योग्य तथा सही रीति से भाग लेने के द्वारा प्रभु हमें तैयार करता है कि हम उन सभी परीक्षाओं का सामना करने के लिए तैयार रहें जो हमारे सामने आएंगी, जब हम प्रभु के लिए जीएंगे और कार्य करेंगे।

       यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

        यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

English Translation

The Lord’s Table - A Preparation For Facing Trials (2)

 

       In the previous article we have seen that in answer to the disciple's question - where to prepare for the Passover, the Lord sent them to a place and person that they quite likely did not know about prior to this. Still, in obedience to the Lord, without doubting or raising any question, they went and prepared as instructed. We had also seen that although the Lord had forewarned them about what will happen to Him in Jerusalem, yet the disciples had ignored this warning, and were busy in their own things, which we will see a bit later. Through all oaf these things, the Lord was teaching something to the disciples, and was preparing them for the time to come. Today, we will see about this preparation and teaching being given by the Lord.

       But they had one major thing going in their favor - they were not assuming and presumptive about things with the Lord, but were concerned about knowing and doing His will, and were obedient to His instructions. So, through these seemingly cryptic instructions, the Lord was practically putting it across to them that nothing was unexpected or unforeseen; He knew about things, about people, about events, and all things were in His knowledge, under His control. They could trust Him for everything, for whatever happens. These were practical lessons by the Lord, demonstrating His sovereignty to the disciples and strengthening their faith, to enable them to handle the coming trials they were going to face. Since they were concerned about knowing His will, and obedient to doing His will, without any doubts or hesitancy about a seemingly impossible sequence of events, the Lord put before them the wonderful rewards of trusting Him and doing as He had instructed to be done, by establishing the Lord’s Table before them, with them, and giving them the teachings of the blessings associated with the Table.

       It was not so much the disciples preparing for the Passover for the Lord - that was practically already done beforehand by the person in whose house they were going to eat the Passover; rather, the disciples did not even realize that actually it was the Lord who was preparing His trusting and obedient disciples to face the impending trial, soon to come upon them (Revelation 3:10). Today, how can we see and apply these things in our Christian lives?

        The events of the world, all over, are crying out that the end-times are upon us; the world will soon come to an end and stand before God for judgment. Amongst the signs of the end times are the prolific rise of false teachers, explosion of wrong teachings, and the persecution of the Christian Believers - as is happening all over the world now. For His trusting and obedient disciples, their worthily partaking in the Lord’s Table, as per the Lord’s instructions, serves to remind them of the power and authority of the Lord Jesus, of His sovereignty over everything, no matter what may be happening outside, and thus strengthens their faith. The Israelites were instructed to not go out of their houses, once marked by the blood of the sacrificial lamb; outside where death was at work in the darkness, but they were safe inside the blood marked houses. Similarly, the Christian Believers too have been instructed to not go out into the world, not compromise with the world, once they have submitted themselves to the Lord. Their safety, security, and deliverance are in remaining “inside”, in the Lord, in being trusting and obedient to Him, no matter how difficult and troubling the situation may seem to be. Through properly and worthily participating in the Holy Communion, the Lord prepares us to face the trials that will come our way, as we live and work for the Lord.

       If you are a Christian Believer, and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually a disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers, first check and test all teachings that you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
