पिछले
कुछ लेखों में हम प्रभु भोज से संबंधित कुछ प्रश्नों को देखते आ रहे हैं, जिनके बारे में परमेश्वर के लोगों में असमंजस है। यह असमंजस, बल्कि ये प्रश्न ही, परमेश्वर के वचन के अनुरूप
शिक्षाएं देने के स्थान पर, वचन को तोड़-मरोड़ कर डिनॉमिनेशन
या मत की शिक्षाओं और व्याख्याओं के अनुरूप करने, बजाए इसके कि शिक्षाओं को
परमेश्वर के वचन के अनुरूप किया जाए, के प्रयासों के कारण उत्पन्न होते हैं। हमने
परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में से देखा है कि जब उन विषयों और प्रश्नों को बिना किसी
भी डिनॉमिनेशन की बातों को आधार बनाए, यदि सीधे बाइबल से
देखा जाए, तो उत्तर स्पष्ट और सीधे होते हैं। इन लेखों में
इस बात पर भी बारंबार जोर दिया गया है कि प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना कोई रीति नहीं
है, इसे औपचारिकता निभाने के लिए प्रयोग नहीं किया जा सकता
है। इस बात की पुष्टि हमारे आज के प्रश्न के उत्तर से भी हो जाती है; आज का हमारा प्रश्न है, क्या मसीही विश्वासी अपनी ही
इच्छा के अनुसार जीवन जी सकता है; या प्रभु भोज में भाग लेना
उस पर, उसके जीवन तथा व्यवहार के बारे में कुछ ज़िम्मेदारी
लाता है?
उत्तर
के लिए हम परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में से 1 कुरिन्थियों 10:16-22 को लेंगे।
परमेश्वर के वचन के इस खण्ड में, पौलुस, पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, कुछ ऐसी बातों की ओर
संकेत कर रहा है, जो बहुत बुनियादी और महत्वपूर्ण हैं। लेकिन
दुर्भाग्यवश, इन बातों को कलीसियाओं में शायद ही कभी सिखाया
जाता है या उनपर ज़ोर दिया जाता है, नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही
विश्वासियों की मण्डलियों में भी। पौलुस यह भी दिखाता है कि वह जिस बात को कह रहा
है वह कोई नई शिक्षा या सिद्धांत नहीं हैं, वरन पुराने नियम
की उपासना में भी वे देखने को मिलती हैं। यहाँ, इस खण्ड में,
पौलुस दो महत्वपूर्ण और बुनियादी बातों के बारे में बात करता है -
पहली, भाग लेने के अभिप्राय, और दूसरी,
भाग लेने वाले की ज़िम्मेदारी; और हम इन दोनों
को ही आने वाले लेखों में देखेंगे। यहाँ पर दो अभिप्रायों का उल्लेख किया गया है -
प्रभु के साथ संगति या सहभागिता का जीवन जीना, और भाग लेने
वालों के मध्य एकता होना; और विश्वासी की ज़िम्मेदारी है
संसार से अलगाव का जीवन जीना।
यहाँ,
1 कुरिन्थियों 10:16 में स्पष्ट लिखा है कि कटोरे और रोटी में भाग
लेने के द्वारा, भाग लेने वाला मसीह के लहू और देह की
सहभागिता में आ जाता है, अर्थात्, अपने आप को उन से जोड़ लेता
है। इस सृष्टि का सृष्टिकर्ता तथा पालनहार मसीही विश्वासी को विशेषाधिकार प्रदान
करता है कि वह प्रभु के साथ संगति रखे, उसके साथ सहभागी हो;
यह ऐसा विशेषाधिकार है जो उसने अपने आज्ञाकारी स्वर्गदूतों को भी
प्रदान नहीं किया है। इसलिए, भाग लेने वाले के लिए यह
अनिवार्य हो जाता है कि वह ऐसा जीवन कदापि व्यतीत न करे, ऐसा
व्यवहार कतई न रखे जिससे प्रभु की गरिमा और प्रतिष्ठा पर आंच आए, या कोई प्रभु पर उँगली उठाने पाए। प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने के द्वारा,
भाग लेने वाले इस बात की पुष्टि करते हैं कि वे प्रभु यीशु के साथ
एक घनिष्ठ संबंध रखते हैं; वैसा, जैसा कि प्रभु ने अपने क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के लिए
पकड़वाए जाने से पहले, यूहन्ना 17:21-23 में अपनी प्रार्थना
में कहा था।
आने
वाले लेखों में हम इसी बात पर, बाइबल के कुछ अन्य पदों की
सहायता से, थोड़ा सा और विचार करेंगे।
यदि
आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो
अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के
पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की
आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए
- उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से
प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ
ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस
प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद
करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया,
उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी
उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को
क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और
मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे
और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए
स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Implications of
Participation (1)
In
the past few articles, we have been considering some questions related to the
Holy Communion about which there are confusions among God’s people. The
confusions, and even the questions themselves, are because of the tendency of
twisting God’s Word to make it fit into different denominational teachings and
interpretations, rather than correct those teachings and interpretations and
bring them in line with God’s Word. We have seen from God’s Word the Bible,
that when those issues and questions are seen directly from God’s Word, without
any denominational considerations, the answers are straightforward and clear.
It has also been repeatedly emphasized in these articles that participation in
the Lord’s Table is not a ritual, and is not to be done as fulfilling a
formality. This is further affirmed by the answer to our today’s question - Can
a Christian Believer live his own life; or, does the Holy Communion place some
responsibility on him about his life and behavior?
For
the answer, let us turn to 1 Corinthians 10:16-22
from God’s Word the Bible. In this part of God’s Word, Paul, under the guidance
of the Holy Spirit, is pointing out some things related to the Lord’s Table
that are very important and fundamental. But unfortunately, these aspects are
hardly ever, if at all, stated, emphasized, or taught about in the Churches,
even in the gatherings of the Born-Again Christian Believers. Paul also points
out that what he is saying are not some new teachings or doctrines, but ones
that are seen even in the Old Testament worship. Here, in this section, Paul is
talking about two fundamental and important things - firstly, the implications
of the partaking, and secondly, the responsibility that the participant has;
and we will be considering them in this and subsequent articles. There are two
implications stated here - living a life of communion or fellowship with the
Lord, and unity amongst the participants; and the responsibility of the
Believer is to live a life of separation from the world.
In
1 Corinthians 10:16 it is clearly
stated that by partaking of the cup and bread of the Holy Communion, the
partaker is coming into communion or fellowship with the blood and body of
Christ, i.e., joins himself to them. The Creator and Sustainer of the universe, gives to the Christian Believers the privilege of
fellowshipping with Him, communing with Him; a privilege He has not given to
even His obedient angels. Therefore, it is binding upon the participant that he
should not be living and behaving in any such manner that will spoil the
reputation of the Lord and cause others to cast aspersions upon Him through the
Believer’s life and living. Through participation in the Holy Communion the
participants affirm their being in, and, also living in
close fellowship with the Lord Jesus, as the Lord Jesus had said in His prayer,
in John 17:21-23, before being caught for crucifixion.
In
the coming articles we will consider this further with the help of some other
Bible verses.
