पुरुषार्थ कर - 5
पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था की यद्यपि परमेश्वर ने हमें किसी भी परिस्थिति में से जयवंत होकर निकल पाने के लिए सभी आवश्यक संसाधन उपलब्ध करवाए हैं, और साथ ही वह स्वयं भी हमारी सहायता एवं मार्गदर्शन के लिए, सभी बातों में हमारे साथ-साथ बना रहता है, लेकिन फिर भी अधिकांश मसीही विश्वासी परेशानियों का सामना करने से, या परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता और अपनी बुलाहट का निर्वाह करने के लिए कष्ट उठाने से कतराते हैं। बल्कि उनकी प्रवृत्ति, उनकी तथा-कथित “विश्वास की प्रार्थनाओं” के पीछे छिपने की होती है। वे यही चाहते हैं कि या तो परिस्थिति उनके सामने से हटा ली जाए, या उन्हें परिस्थिति में से निकाल लिया जाए। उनकी इस से भी बदतर धारणा यह होती है कि वे अपने आप को परिस्थिति का सामना करने के लिए अयोग्य और अक्षम घोषित करते हैं, और परमेश्वर से कहते हैं कि वह ही उनके स्थान पर उस कार्य को, उनके लिए कर दे। किन्तु, जैसा हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था, बाइबल तथा सामान्य जीवन में से परमेश्वर के लोगों के जीवनों के उदाहरण इस तरह से तथा-कथित “विश्वास की प्रार्थनाओं” के पीछे छिपने और इन मन-गढ़ंत तरीकों द्वारा जिम्मेदारियों के निर्वाह से बचने के प्रयास करने का कोई समर्थन नहीं करते हैं।
थोड़ा विचार कीजिए, यह कहना कि “मेरे लिए यह कर पाना संभव नहीं है”, या, यह प्रार्थना करना कि “प्रभु मैं अयोग्य और अक्षम होने के कारण यह नहीं कर सकता हूँ, इसलिए आप ही मेरे लिए इसे करें”, वास्तव में परमेश्वर पर अविश्वास करना है, उसके द्वारा इन बातों और परिस्थितियों के लिए हमें प्रदान किए गए संसाधनों एवं क्षमताओं के बावजूद उनके हमें उपलब्ध होने का इनकार करना है, यह उसके सदा हमारे साथ बने रहने और हमेशा हमारी सहायता करने के आश्वासन को झूठा ठहराना है, यह परमेश्वर की सहायता के स्थान पर केवल अपनी क्षमताओं पर अधिक विश्वास रखना है, और ऐसा करने के कारण शैतान की युक्तियों का शिकार बनना है। संक्षेप में, यह परमेश्वर को झूठा ठहराना है, क्योंकि उसकी प्रतिज्ञा है कि वह हमें हमारी सामर्थ्य से बाहर किसी परीक्षा में नहीं पड़ने देगा (1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13), और हम कह रहे कि उसने हमें हमारी सामर्थ्य से बाहर परीक्षा या परिस्थिति में जा लेने दिया है। परमेश्वर कहता है कि मैं तुम्हारे बारे में सब कुछ जानता हूँ, और हम कह रहे हैं कि उसे पता ही नहीं है कि हमारी क्षमताएं और सीमाएं क्या हैं। ऐसा करने की बजाए, जब भी शैतान हमें हताश करके असहाय तथा हारा हुआ समझने के लिए उकसाता है, मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर से फिलिप्पियों 4:13 को माँगना चाहिए, उस पर भरोसा करते हुए अपने कार्य के लिए विश्वास के साथ आगे बढ़ना चाहिए।
जब भी यह प्रलोभन आए कि हम परमेश्वर से कहें कि वही हमारे स्थान पर हमारे लिए कुछ करे, तब हमें यह ध्यान करना चाहिए कि पवित्र आत्मा जो हम में निवास करता है, उसे हमारा सहायक होने के लिए दिया गया है, न कि हमारे स्थान पर हमारे काम करने के लिए। वह हमारी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन करेगा, आगे बढ़ने का मार्ग बताएगा, किन्तु हमारे कार्य को स्वयं पर लेकर, हमारे स्थान पर हमारी ज़िम्मेदारियों को पूरा नहीं करेगा। विचार कीजिये, परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से हमें सक्षम और योग्य करने के लिये, जो कुछ हमें दिया जा चुका है, उससे अधिक या बेहतर कोई, या परमेश्वर ही, और क्या दे सकता है? हमें अपणी कमजोरियों और प्रार्थनाओं के पीछे छिपने की बजाए परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की आवाज़ और मार्गदर्शन के प्रति संवेदनशील तथा आज्ञाकारी होना पड़ेगा। जब तक कि हम आगे बढ़कर, पुरुषार्थ दिखाकर, अपने दायित्व, अपने कार्य को पूरा नहीं करेंगे, हमारा काम अधूरा और अपूर्ण ही बना रहेगा। परमेश्वर ने जो हमारे करने के लिए तय किया है, हमें पूरा करने के लिए सौंपा है, वह केवल हम ही कर सकते हैं, उसका हम ही निर्वाह कर सकते हैं; हमारे स्थान पर कोई और उसे नहीं करेगा।
ध्यान कीजिए, जिस प्रकार से किसी भी सांसारिक काम में पदोन्नति दिए जाने से पहले जांचना और परखना होता है, उसी तरह से आशीषें मिलने से पहले, मसीही विश्वासी को भी परीक्षाओं से होकर निकलना पड़ता है, अगले स्तर के लिए तैयार होना पड़ता है; तब ही और अधिक आशीष मिलती है। इसलिए, हम या तो इन परीक्षाओं और परिस्थितियों को अवसर और चुनौती के रूप में लेकर जीवन, विश्वास, और आशीषों में और बढ़ते जा सकते हैं; या हम उनके लिए कुड़कुड़ाते रह सकते हैं, परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध शिकायत करने वाले बन सकते हैं, और परमेश्वर की आशीषें पाने के अवसरों को गँवा सकते हैं। जब हम इन परिस्थितियों और अवसरों का उपयोग सँसार के सामने मसीही जीवन की गवाही को रखने के लिए करते हैं, हम पृथ्वी पर परमेश्वर की महिमा तथा स्वर्ग में अपने लिए अनन्त काल के लिए आशीष अर्जित करते हैं।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Be a Man - 5
In the previous article we had seen that although God has given us all the resources that we need to come through victoriously from any situation, and He Himself is with us to help and guide us through them all, yet most Christian Believers tend to shy away from facing the difficulties, as well as from taking the pain of obeying God and fulfilling their calling. Instead, they have a tendency to try to hide behind their so called “prayer of faith” to either have the situation removed from them, or remove them from the situation. An even worse concept that they have is, to step back and say that they are unqualified and incapable of facing the situation or fulfilling the responsibility, therefore, God should take over and do it for them. But, as we have seen in the previous articles, the examples of people of God from the Bible, as well as in real life, lend no support to either of these contrived ways of escaping by hiding behind the alleged “prayers of faith” and avoiding the fulfilling of responsibilities.
Come to think of it, to say, "I cannot do it", or to pray that "Lord, I am unqualified and incapable of doing it, therefore, you do it for me", is actually disbelieving God, is blatantly denying the resources and capabilities God has provided to us, is denying His ever-present help and assurances; instead it is trusting only in our own abilities, and thereby falling prey to Satan's devices. In short, it is calling God a liar, because He has promised that He will never let us come into any temptation that is beyond our ability to handle (1 Corinthians 10:13), whereas we are saying that He has let us get into a temptation or circumstance that is beyond our abilities. God says I know everything about you, and we are saying that he does not know about the limits of our abilities. Rather, when Satan tries to overwhelm us by making us fall prey to such defeatist attitudes and feelings, we should claim Philippians 4:13, and then move ahead in faith.
When tempted to back away, and ask God to do the work for us, we should remember that the Holy Spirit residing in us has been given to us to be our helper, not our substitute. He will help and guide us, show us the way forward, but He will not take over and do our work for us. Ponder over it, what more can God, or anyone ever give us, to enable us, to equip us better, to make us more capable of fulfilling our responsibilities, than has already been given to us by the grace of God? We have to learn to be sensitive to the voice and be obedient to God the Holy Spirit’s instructions, instead of hiding behind our weaknesses and prayer. Till we step up to the task, be a man, and fulfill it under His guidance, it will remain incomplete, unfulfilled. What God has kept for us to do, for us to fulfill, can only be done and fulfilled by us, and no one else.
Remember, like before every promotion in the world there is an evaluation or an assessment. Similarly, before every blessing, there are trials and every Christian Believer has to clear them to rise up to the next level, to be blessed even more. So, we can either take our trials as challenges and opportunities to rise higher in faith, blessings and life; or else we can grumble about them, complain against God for them, and lose our God given opportunities for gaining His blessings. When we use these situations and problems to show a Christian witness to the world, to glorify God on earth, we gain eternal blessings.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
