व्यवस्था – भाग 2 - बाइबल के अनुसार व्यवस्था क्या है? - 3
पिछले लेखों में यह देखने के पश्चात कि मसीही विश्वास में, और मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए भला केवल वही है जो संसार और सांसारिकता के मानकों के अनुसार नहीं, वरन केवल परमेश्वर और उस के वचन बाइबल के अनुसार भला है (मरकुस 10:18)। फिर हमने देखा था कि हमारे आदि माता-पिता, आदम और हव्वा के पाप के कारण मनुष्य में पाप की प्रवृत्ति और दशा वंशागत हो गई है (रोमियों 5:12)। इसीलिए हर मनुष्य पाप की प्रवृत्ति तथा दोष के साथ जन्म लेता है (भजन 51:5), और परमेश्वर तथा उसकी बातों से दूर रहता है, उसके साथ संगति नहीं रखने पाता है (यशायाह 59:2)। उस में विद्यमान इस पाप-प्रवृत्ति के करण, जिसका किसी भी मानवीय प्रयास द्वारा कोई समाधान नहीं है, मनुष्य अपने किसी भी कार्य अथवा प्रयास के द्वारा परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में शुद्ध, पवित्र और उसे स्वीकार्य नहीं हो सकता है (यशायाह 64:6; रोमियों 3:10)। बाइबल के अनुसार जो एकमात्र भला है, वह परमेश्वर है, और उसने ही अपनी धार्मिकता और पवित्रता के मानक, अपनी व्यवस्था को हम मनुष्यों को दिया है, जिससे हम परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में भला होने के बारे में सीख और समझ सकें। अब मनुष्यों के सामने एक बहुत बड़ी विडंबना है, परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था के उनके पास होते हुए भी मनुष्य न तो कभी भी उसका पूर्ण पालन करने पाया और न अपने आप को पाप की दशा से निकल पाया - इसका कारण, जैसा कि हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा था, व्यवस्था की वास्तविकता को समझने के बारे में गलतफहमियाँ है। इसलिए नए नियम में आकर, प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने हमारे पापों के समाधान के लिए, व्यवस्था को पूरा किया, अपना बलिदान दिया, और अपने पुनरुत्थान के द्वारा पाप के डंक को तोड़ डाला, और सभी मनुष्यों के परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और भला होने का मार्ग उपलब्ध करवा दिया। और यह मार्ग है व्यवस्था के पालन करने के प्रयासों के स्थान पर, स्वेच्छा से, पापों के पश्चाताप के साथ, प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास करना, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगना, तथा उसके आज्ञाकारी एवं समर्पित शिष्य बनाने का निर्णय लेना। अब हमारे सामने प्रश्न है कि परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था मनुष्यों को भला क्यों नहीं बना सकी, उद्धार क्यों नहीं दे सकती है? व्यवस्था की इस असमर्थता को हम आज के इस लेख में और इसके आगे के कुछ लेखों में देखेंगे।
यह समझने से पहले कि व्यवस्था क्यों मनुष्यों को भला नहीं बना सकती है, क्यों उन्हें उद्धार नहीं दे सकती है, हमें परमेश्वर द्वारा व्यवस्था के दिए जाने की पृष्ठभूमि और उससे संबंधित बातों को समझना होगा। प्रत्येक मनुष्य, चाहे वह मसीही हो, या परमेश्वर की चुनी हुई प्रजा इस्राएलियों/यहूदियों में से हो, या अन्य-जातियों में से हो; यदि वह किसी भी ईश्वर पर विश्वास रखता है, तो वह साथ ही अपने अन्दर यह भी मानता और समझता है कि उसे कभी-न-कभी और किसी-न-किसी रीति से उस ईश्वर को अपने जीवन का हिसाब देना है, और किसी-न-किसी रूप में अपने किए का प्रतिफल पाना है। इसी लिए मनुष्य अपने ईश्वर को प्रसन्न रखने के लिए, अपने इस शारीरिक जीवन में कुछ-न-कुछ कार्य या प्रयास अवश्य करता रहता है। मसीही विश्वासी अपने विश्वास के जीवन के द्वारा; यहूदी जन यहोवा की व्यवस्था के पालन के द्वारा; और अन्य-जाति का व्यक्ति अपने कर्मों के द्वारा अपने आप को अपने ईश्वर की दृष्टि में भला, स्वीकार्य, और उत्तम प्रतिफल पाने योग्य ठहराना चाहता है। उसका यह अपेक्षित प्रतिफल चाहे इस पृथ्वी पर सुख और समृद्धि हो, चाहे परलोक में स्वर्ग और उसकी आशीषें हों, या फिर कुछ अन्य-जाति लोगों की मान्यता के अनुसार अच्छा पुनर्जन्म और उस दूसरे जन्म में कुछ उत्तम प्राप्त करना हो।
अर्थात ईश्वर पर आस्था रखने वाले सभी मनुष्यों में एक न एक दिन उनका न्याय होने और अपने किए का परिणाम मिलने का एहसास विद्यमान है, उस व्यक्ति की मान्यता के अनुसार वह ईश्वर चाहे कोई भी हो, और परिणाम किसी भी रीति से मिले। चाहे लोग प्रभु यीशु मसीह और यहोवा को न भी मानते हों, किन्तु उनके विवेक, उनके मन की यह बात, उनमें उनके सृजनहार परमेश्वर यहोवा ने ही डाल कर उन्हें जन्म दिया है कि वे अपने जीवनों के लिए परमेश्वर को उत्तरदायी हैं। जो बाइबल और प्रभु यीशु को जानते और मानते हैं, वे यह भी जानते हैं कि जगत का अन्त होने पर, जिसके चिह्न अब चारों ओर बहुतायत से विद्यमान हैं, यह न्याय प्रभु यीशु के द्वारा ही होगा। जो प्रभु यीशु और यहोवा को नहीं जानते और मानते हैं, वे इस वास्तविक अंतिम न्याय और उससे संबंधित बातों से अनभिज्ञ हैं। इस कारण न्याय की बातों के विषय वे अपनी ही धारणाओं में पड़े हुए हैं। किन्तु अन्ततः प्रभु के न्याय सिंहासन के सामने वे भी खड़े होंगे, और अपना हिसाब देंगे (2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10; प्रकाशितवाक्य 20:12-15)।
इस न्याय के संदर्भ में बाइबल से दो हवालों को देखिए:
प्रेरितों 17:30-31 इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों की आनाकानी करके, अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है। क्योंकि उसने एक दिन ठहराया है, जिस में वह उस मनुष्य के द्वारा धर्म से जगत का न्याय करेगा, जिसे उसने ठहराया है और उसे मरे हुओं में से जिलाकर, यह बात सब पर प्रमाणित कर दी है।
रोमियों 2:16 जिस दिन परमेश्वर मेरे सुसमाचार के अनुसार यीशु मसीह के द्वारा मनुष्यों की गुप्त बातों का न्याय करेगा।
इन दो हवालों से कुछ बातें स्पष्ट हैं:
सभी का न्याय होना अवश्यंभावी है, चाहे वह प्रभु यीशु को परमेश्वर मानता हो या नहीं; और उस न्याय के होने का वह एक दिन भी परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित किया जा चुका है।
उस न्याय के दिन के लिए, न्याय को करने वाले न्यायी को भी नियुक्त किया जा चुका है; और वह न्यायी प्रभु यीशु मसीह होगा, जिसके विषय, उसे मुर्दों में से जिलाने के द्वारा परमेश्वर पिता ने यह बात सभी पर प्रमाणित और प्रकट कर दी है।
प्रभु यीशु मसीह के द्वारा न्याय, उस के सुसमाचार में दे दी गई बातों के आधार पर किया जाएगा। और ऐसा कुछ नहीं है जो उस न्याय के लिए जाँचे जाने से छुपा रह जाएगा, गुप्त बातें भी प्रकट हो जाएंगी, और व्यक्ति उनके लिए भी जाँचे जाएंगे।
इसीलिए परमेश्वर हर जगह, सब मनुष्यों को, अभी समय रहते, मन फिराने या पश्चाताप करने की आज्ञा दे रहा है। अर्थात, यदि कोई समाधान है तो वह किसी प्रकार के कर्म नहीं, पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करना और प्रभु यीशु से उनके लिए क्षमा प्राप्त करना है, अन्यथा दण्ड तो पाना ही होगा।
हम सभी उद्धार और नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी, इन चारों बातों को भली-भांति जानते हैं; चाहे इनके विषय गंभीरता रखते हों अथवा नहीं! लेकिन इन लेखों और हमारी इस चर्चा के विषय, अर्थात, “व्यवस्था और मसीही विश्वास” के संदर्भ में प्रेरितों 17:30 का आरंभिक वाक्य “इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों की आनाकानी करके” रोचक तथा महत्वपूर्ण है। जब हम ध्यान करें कि इस पद का संदर्भ अथेने के लोगों की मूर्तिपूजा और उनके अनेकों देवी-देवता हैं, जिनके कारण पौलुस उनके मध्य यह प्रचार कर रहा है, यह संदेश दे रहा है, तब यह और भी रोचक एवं असमंजस में डालने वाला हो जाता है।
परमेश्वर जो मूर्तिपूजा से घृणा करता है, उसके लिए यह क्यों लिखा गया कि वह अज्ञानता के समयों की आनाकानी करने को न केवल तैयार है, कर भी रहा है, और उन्हें उनकी मूर्तिपूजा के अनुसार दण्ड नहीं दे रहा है? इसे समझने के लिए हमें मनुष्य की सृष्टि से लेकर अभी तक के समय के इतिहास और घटनाओं को देखना होगा, जिसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। किन्तु अभी के लिए, हम सभी को एक बार फिर सचेत होना है और प्रेरितों 17:30 में दी गई पश्चाताप करने की परमेश्वर की आज्ञा का पालन करना है - और यह परमेश्वर की यह आज्ञा हर जगह सब मनुष्यों के लिए है, जिस में ईसाई समाज के लोग भी ठीक वैसे ही आ जाते हैं जैसे अन्य किसी भी अन्य धर्म अथवा समाज के लोग।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Law – Part 2 - Biblically, What is the Law? – 3
We have seen in previous articles that in the Christian faith, and for Christians, “good” is not according to the standards of the world and worldly ways, but only according to God and God's Word, the Bible (Mark 10:18). Then we saw that due to the original sin of our fore-parents, Adam and Eve, we have an inherent tendency to sin, sin indwells in man (Romans 5:12). That is why every human being is born with a sin nature and its effects (Psalm 51:5). Therefore, in his natural unregenerate condition man is separated from God and His Word, unable to have fellowship with Him (Isaiah 59:2). Because of his sin nature that has no human remedy, man cannot ever become pure, holy and unacceptable in the sight of God by any of his works or efforts (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:10). According to the Bible, the only one good is God; and God has given to us humans, His standard of righteousness and holiness, his Law, so that we can learn and understand what is good in the sight of God. There is a great dilemma before man, that in spite of having God's Law, man is unable to follow it completely, and is unable to extricate himself out of the state of sin by following the Law of God – the reason as we have seen in the previous articles is a misunderstanding about what the Law actually is. So, in the New Testament, we see that the Lord Jesus, for the solution of our sin problem, fulfilled the Law for us, sacrificed Himself, and through His resurrection from the dead has broken the sting of sin, and made available to all men the way to be righteous and good in the eyes of God. This way is to stop trying to fulfill the Law, instead, to voluntarily repent for our sins, come to faith in the Lord Jesus, ask Him to forgive our sins, and decide to be fully surrendered and committed disciples of the Lord Jesus. But it leaves the question before us that why could the Law not make man good; could not save him? From today, we will begin to consider the inability of the Law to do this.
Before we can understand why the Law can't make humans good, why can't it save them, we need to understand the background and related things about God's giving of the Law. Every person, whether a Christian, or from God's chosen people, i.e., the Israelites/Jews; or from the Gentiles; If he believes in any god, he also believes and understands within himself that at some time or the other, and in one way or the other he will have to give an account of his life to that god, and receive the reward or consequences of his deeds and actions. That is why he keeps on trying to do some work or effort in this physical life to keep his god happy. Christians through their lives of faith; Jews by obeying the Law of Jehovah; and the Gentiles by their works, all want to make themselves good, acceptable, and worthy of a good reward in the sight of their god. Their expected reward may be happiness and prosperity on this earth, or it may be attaining to heaven and its blessings in the hereafter, or, according to the belief of some Gentiles, it may be a good rebirth and attainment of something good in that rebirth.
In other words, all the people who believe in any god have an idea of facing judgement and getting the results of their actions one day, from whoever their god is according to the belief of that person, and in whichever way their god may reward them. Even if people do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and Jehovah, yet within them, their Creator God Jehovah, has also put a conscience that tells them that they are responsible and accountable for their lives to a higher divine authority. Those who know and believe in the Bible and the Lord Jesus also know that at the end of the world, the signs of which are now abundantly evident everywhere, will be judged by the Lord Jesus. Those who do not know and believe in the Lord Jesus and Jehovah, and are ignorant about things related to this final judgment, have their own concepts about the things related to this judgment. But eventually, every one will have to stand before the judgment throne of the Lord Jesus, to give their account to Him (2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:12-15).
In the context of this judgment, look at two Bible quotes:
Acts 17:30-31 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.
Romans 2:16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
A few things are evident from these two quotes:
It is inevitable for all to be judged, whether they believe in the Lord Jesus as God or not; and that the day for that judgment to happen, has already been set and appointed by God.
For that Judgment Day, the Judge to do the judgment has also been appointed; And that Judge would be the Lord Jesus Christ. God the Father has provided the proof, and made it known to all, by raising him from the dead.
The Lord Jesus Christ will judge on the basis of the things He has already given in His Gospel। There is nothing that will escape being evaluated in that judgment; all the secret things will also be revealed, and people will be evaluated for everything.
That's why God is commanding all men everywhere, to repent now while there is time. Because, if there is a solution, it is not through some kind of works, but through repentance for sins and seeking forgiveness for them from the Lord Jesus; else punishment for sins will be inevitable.
We all saved and Born-Again Christians, know these four things very well; whether or not we take them seriously, is another matter! But in the context of these articles and our current topic of discussion, i.e., “Law and Christian Faith,” the opening sentence of Acts 17:30, "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked" is not only interesting but also is very important. It becomes even more interesting and intriguing when we consider that the context of this verse refers to the idolatry of the Athenians and their many deities, which is why Paul is preaching this message among them.
Why is it written for God, who hates idolatry, that He is not only willing to overlook their times of ignorance, instead of punishing them according to their idolatry? To understand why God is willing to overlook these times of ignorance, we will very briefly look at the history and events of the time from the creation of man till now, in the next article. But for now, we all have to once again take heed to and obey God's command to repent as given in Acts 17:30 - and this is God’s commandment for all human beings, everywhere, including Christians; since they too come in the purview of “commands all men everywhere to repent” in much the same way as people of any other religion or society.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins, and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins; voluntarily and sincerely, surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
