पुनःअवलोकन, निष्कर्ष, परमेश्वर की कार्य-विधि, और शैतान की भ्रामक युक्तियाँ
मसीही सेवकाई और जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों से संबंधित इस श्रुंखला में हमने पिछले कुछ लेखों में इस विषय की आधारभूत बातों को देखा और समझा है। इन आधारभूत बातों की सही समझ के आधार पर ही पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों से संबंधित शिक्षाओं को समझना, उनके सही या गलत होने की पहचान करने, पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों के सही उपयोग के बारे में समझने, और गलत शिक्षाओं से बचने को समझा और पहचाना जा सकता है। इसलिए, इन बातों में और आगे बढ़ने से पहले हम आज के लेख में अभी तक के लेखों का पुनः अवलोकन करके उनका सारांश देख लेते हैं, तथा परमेश्वर की कार्य-विधि और शैतान की भ्रामक युक्तियों, जिनका उपयोग वह परमेश्वर के कार्यों को बिगाड़ने के लिये करता है, का भी पुनः अवलोकन कर लेते हैं।
पुनःअवलोकन:
मसीही जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा मसीही विश्वासियों को दिए गए वरदानों की इस अध्ययन शृंखला में हम अभी तक उन आधारभूत बातों को देखते आए हैं, जिनकी समझ और विचार रखना, के लिए अनिवार्य है। इस संदर्भ में हम अभी तक देख चुके हैं कि:
परमेश्वर स्वयं कार्यशील है और अपने लोगों को भी कार्यशील देखना चाहता है।
परमेश्वर ने लोगों को मसीही विश्वास में निठल्ले होने तथा निष्क्रिय एवं निष्फल रहते हुए परमेश्वर की आशीषों को उपयोग करते रहने के लिए नहीं लिया है।
परमेश्वर ने प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी द्वारा परमेश्वर के लिए करने के लिए कुछ न कुछ कार्य निर्धारित किए हैं।
परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित किए गए इन कार्यों को सुचारु रीति से करने के लिए परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा स्वतः ही प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को उस कार्य के लिए उपयुक्त कोई न कोई वरदान अवश्य देता है।
साथ ही हमने मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की भूमिका के संदर्भ में यह भी देखा है कि मसीही विश्वास में आते ही तुरंत ही उसी पल से हर विश्वासी के अन्दर पवित्र आत्मा आकर निवास करने लगता है; इसके किसी को लिए कोई अलग से प्रार्थना या प्रयास नहीं करना पड़ता है। यह मसीही विश्वास में आने के साथ ही, परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की गई और स्वतः ही होने वाली स्वाभाविक प्रक्रिया है। इससे संबंधित जो दूसरी महत्वपूर्ण बात हमने देखी थी वह थी कि व्यक्ति में पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति उस व्यक्ति के बदले हुए जीवन और उसमें दिखने वाले आत्मा के फलों (गलातीयों 5:22-23) के द्वारा प्रमाणित होती है, न कि बाइबल के बाहर की विचित्र हरकतों, उछल-कूद, शोर-शराबे आदि के व्यवहार से, अथवा चिह्न-चमत्कार आदि करने के द्वारा।
निष्कर्ष:
शैतान का उद्देश्य सदा ही परमेश्वर के कार्य में बाधाएं डालना और उसकी योजनाओं को असफल करने के प्रयास करना रहता है। क्योंकि परमेश्वर मसीही विश्वासियों में होकर संसार में और संसार के लोगों के समक्ष अपने कार्य करता है, इसलिए परमेश्वर के कार्यों को बाधित करने के लिए शैतान मसीही विश्वासियों को व्यर्थ की बातों में उलझा कर रखता है जिससे वे अपने निर्धारित कार्य न कर सकें, और उसके द्वारा फैलाई जाने वाली भक्तिपूर्ण प्रतीत होने वाली किन्तु वास्तविकता में भरमाने वाली युक्तियों में उलझे रह कर समय बर्बाद करते रहें। अपने इसी उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिए वह मसीही विश्वासियों को जाने-अनजाने में परमेश्वर का अनाज्ञाकारी भी बना कर रखता है; उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन के अध्ययन और आज्ञाकारिता के स्थान पर मनुष्यों, मतों और डिनॉमिनेशंस की शिक्षाओं और प्रचार का पालन करने वाला बनाए रखता है। यह समझते हुए कि वे परमेश्वर के लिए, या परमेश्वर की ओर से कार्य कर रहे हैं, वे अपनी ही धारणाओं, इच्छाओं, और मनुष्यों की मन-गढ़न्त बातों तथा गलत शिक्षाओं के अनुसार कार्य करते रहते हैं, और अन्ततः उनके सभी कार्य और प्रयास व्यर्थ एवं निष्फल होते हैं।
शैतान की एक और कार्य-विधि है मसीही विश्वासी को उसके वरदानों और उनकी उपयोगिता के बारे में अनभिज्ञ रखना, या उन्हें ठीक से उपयोग नहीं करने देना, उनके बारे में उसे गलत शिक्षाओं में फंसा देना, जिससे कि वे प्रभावी न हो सकें।
परमेश्वर की कार्य-विधि:
परमेश्वर ने सदा ही समस्त मानवजाति की भलाई के लिए ही कार्य किया है। जब पृथ्वी पर पाप बहुत बढ़ गया, और परमेश्वर ने जल-प्रलय के द्वारा पापी मनुष्यों के नाश की ठान ली, तब भी उसने उनके लिए जो पापों से पश्चाताप कर लें, उसकी चेतावनियों को मान लें, अपनी बुराई से पलट जाएं, उनके बचाए जाने के लिए नूह के द्वारा एक जहाज़ बनवाया; किन्तु नूह और उसके परिवार को छोड़ और किसी ने परमेश्वर की नहीं सुनी, संसार के लोगों ने परमेश्वर की चेतावनियों को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया, और जल-प्रलय में नाश हो गए।
जब परमेश्वर अब्राहम को मूर्तिपूजकों में से निकालकर कनान में लेकर आया, तो अब्राहम को दी गई परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा में भी समस्त पृथ्वी की भलाई की योजना थी। उस समय, “यहोवा ने अब्राम से कहा, अपने देश, और अपनी जन्मभूमि, और अपने पिता के घर को छोड़कर उस देश में चला जा जो मैं तुझे दिखाऊंगा। और मैं तुझ से एक बड़ी जाति बनाऊंगा, और तुझे आशीष दूंगा, और तेरा नाम बड़ा करूंगा, और तू आशीष का मूल होगा। और जो तुझे आशीर्वाद दें, उन्हें मैं आशीष दूंगा; और जो तुझे कोसे, उसे मैं शाप दूंगा; और भूमण्डल के सारे कुल तेरे द्वारा आशीष पाएंगे” (उत्पत्ति 12:1-3)।
जब परमेश्वर ने अब्राहम के वंशजों, इस्राएलियों को अपने लोग होने के लिए चुना, तो उनमें होकर सच्चे परमेश्वर के विमुख एवं अनाज्ञाकारी हो चुके संसार के लोगों के सामने अपनी भलाई, अपने लोगों की देखभाल, और उनमें होकर अपनी सामर्थ्य तथा सार्वभौमिकता को दिखाया। किन्तु उसके सभी प्रमाणों के बावजूद संसार ने इस्राएल के परमेश्वर को नहीं अपनाया, वरन उलटे इस्राएल ने ही संसार की बातों को अपना लिया और परमेश्वर से दूर चला गया।
उसका हर रीति से तिरस्कार किए जाने के बावजूद, फिर भी परमेश्वर सभी की देखभाल करता रहता है, सभी मनुष्यों को उसकी सृष्टि का उपयोग करने देता है, सभी की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करता रहता है “जिस से तुम अपने स्वर्गीय पिता की सन्तान ठहरोगे क्योंकि वह भलों और बुरों दोनों पर अपना सूर्य उदय करता है, और धर्मियों और अधर्मियों दोनों पर मेंह बरसाता है” (मत्ती 5:45)। प्रभु यीशु मसीह में होकर भी परमेश्वर ने किसी जाति-विशेष, अथवा कुछ विशेष लोगों के लिए नहीं, परंतु समस्त मानवजाति के पापों की क्षमा, उद्धार, और परमेश्वर के साथ मेल-मिलाप कर लेने और अनन्तकाल के लिए परमेश्वर की संतान बनकर उस के साथ स्वर्ग के निवासी होने के लिए मार्ग बनाकर दिया।
परमेश्वर के कार्यों और वरदानों के संबंध में यह एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण सिद्धांत है, कि परमेश्वर का हर कार्य, हर आशीष, हर योजना, उसके द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली हर सामर्थ्य, कभी भी किसी व्यक्ति विशेष के लिए ही नहीं होती है, वरन उस व्यक्ति में होकर सभी की भलाई और उन्नति के लिए, संसार के लोगों को परमेश्वर के बारे में बताने, उसकी ओर आकर्षित करने, और उसकी निकटता में लाने के लिए होती है। परमेश्वर द्वारा दी जाने वाली बातों और सामर्थ्य से संबंधित इस मौलिक सिद्धांत की कभी अनदेखी नहीं करनी चाहिए, अन्यथा बहुत सी गलतियों में पड़ जाएंगे। और पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा दिए जाने वाले वरदानों को लेकर शैतान ने बहुत से लोगों को, विशेषकर उनको जो पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाओं को सिखाते और फैलाते हैं, इसी गलती में फंसा रखा है।
शैतान की भ्रामक युक्तियाँ:
यदि आप थोड़ा सा भी विचार करें तो यह तुरंत ही प्रकट हो जाता है कि ये गलत शिक्षाएं फैलाने वाले लोग जिन पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों और सामर्थ्य की बातें करते हैं, जिन्हें मांगने और पाने के लिए सिखाते हैं, वे सभी व्यक्ति द्वारा अपने उपयोग के लिए या व्यक्ति की प्रतिष्ठा और सामाजिक अथवा मण्डली में स्तर को बढ़ाने, लोगों से प्रशंसा पाने, व्यक्ति के अहम को बढ़ाने वाले होते हैं। दुख की बात यह है कि इन सभी वरदानों को भी परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने मण्डली तथा लोगों की भलाई के लिए दिया है, किन्तु जिस प्रकार से और जिस स्वरूप में ये लोग उन वरदानों को प्रस्तुत करते हैं, उससे उनकी वास्तविक उपयोगिता एवं दिए जाने का उद्देश्य भ्रष्ट हो जाता है।
यह भक्ति और आत्मिकता के भेष में ढाँप कर, शैतान की कुटिलता और झूठ को लोगों में बैठा देने और फैला देने का तरीका है। शैतान के इस चंगुल में फँस कर वे लोग अपने इन वरदानों को व्यर्थ कर देते हैं, और जिनकी सेवकाई के लिए ये वरदान थे, वे लोग निष्क्रिय तथा निष्फल हो जाते हैं, अपनी आशीषों को गँवा देते हैं। उनके लिए वह दिन और समय कितना भयानक और हृदय-विदारक होगा, जब मत्ती 7:23 के अनुरूप, प्रभु यीशु मसीह उनसे कहेगा, “मैं ने तुम को कभी नहीं जाना, हे कुकर्म करने वालों, मेरे पास से चले जाओ”। यदि उन्होंने परमेश्वर के वचन को गंभीरता से लिया होता, मनुष्यों की धारणाओं और मन-गढ़न्त बातों के अनुसार नहीं वरन बाइबल की बातों के अनुसार सीखा होता, स्वीकार करने से पहले सभी शिक्षाओं को बारीकी से जाँचा-परख होता, तो वे कभी शैतान की इन चालों में नहीं फँसते, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें वचन की सच्चाइयों को दिखाता, बताता, और समझाता। किन्तु उन्होंने परमेश्वर के वचन के स्थान पर मनुष्यों की बातों को अधिक महत्व दिया, और अपनी सेवकाई व्यर्थ कर ली, अपनी अनन्तकालीन आशीषें गँवा दीं।
यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों से संबंधित अपने विचारों, मान्यताओं, और धारणाओं को परमेश्वर के वचन से जाँच-परख लें, और सुनिश्चित कर लें कि आप किसी गलत शिक्षा अथवा मनुष्य की गढ़ी हुई बातों में नहीं फंसे हुए हैं, वरन वचन की खराई और सही शिक्षा में ही स्थापित हैं। समय रहते सुधार न करने के परिणाम, वर्तमान में तथा अनन्तकाल के लिए, बहुत हानिकारक हो सकते हैं। प्रभु द्वारा मत्ती 7:23 में तथा उन पाँच मूर्ख कुँवारियों से कही गई बात को स्मरण कीजिए - बाद में सुधार का प्रयास करने से उन्हें कुछ लाभ नहीं हुआ, वे प्रभु से दूर ही रहे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Review; Conclusion; God’s Methodology; Satan’s Deception
In this ongoing series on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in Christian Believer’s life and ministry, in the last few articles, we have seen and considered some very fundamental and necessary things relevant to this topic. Only by having a proper and correct understanding about these fundamental things can we understand the teachings about the gifts of the Holy Spirit; know and identify whether those teachings are correct or not; learn about properly using the gifts of the Holy Spirit; and see how we can stay safe and away from the wrong teachings. Therefore, before proceeding any further on this topic, in today’s article we will review these past articles, see their conclusion, recall God’s way of working, and review the deceptive devices of Satan that he uses to disrupt God’s work.
Review:
In context of the fundamental teachings relevant to the gifts of the Holy Spirit in Christian life and ministry, so far, we have seen that:
God is always at work and wants to see His people working as well.
God has not called people into Christian Faith to live an inactive, lazy life, using the blessings of God without doing any work.
God has assigned some work or the other to each and every Christian Believer.
God the Holy Spirit, on His own, gives some gift or the other to every Christian Believer, so that they may carry out their assigned work and ministry in a worthy and effective manner.
We have also seen that God the Holy Spirit comes to reside in every Christian Believer from the very moment they are saved, and no true Christian Believer has to do anything extra to have the Holy Spirit come and reside in him - this is an automatic, God ordained and given process, that comes into effect at the moment of salvation of every person. The second important thing that we had seen was that the proof of the Holy Spirit residing in a person is the changed life of the person and the presence of the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) in the life and behavior of that person. Contrary to the popular, often and emphatically stated notions, the unBiblical odd behavior and bodily actions, repetitively making odd noises that cannot be understood, or claims of doing signs and wonders etc., are not the proofs of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a person, Biblically.
Conclusion:
Satan’s purpose is to always and, in whichever way possible, obstruct God’s plans and try to make them fail through his some device or the other. Since God works in the world and before the people of the world through the Christian Believers, therefore, to obstruct God’s working, Satan tries to keep the Christian Believers involved and occupied with vain things, so that they are kept away from doing their God assigned work and ministry. One of Satan’s tricks is to keep people attracted to and occupied with false teachings, wrong doctrines, and unBiblical things, that appear to be godly, reverent, and righteous, but actually are not. By getting them occupied in these vain unBiblical things he not only wastes the time and efforts of the Believers, but even makes them disobedient to God and His Word; into people who give more importance to the preaching and teaching of men, sects and denominations, instead of studying and obeying God’s Word. People, assuming that they are working for God, or on God’s behest, keep on doing things and works according to their own concepts, notions, desires, contrived teachings and false doctrines devised, preached, and taught by men; and eventually all their efforts and works will turn out to be vain and fruitless.
One more device of Satan is to keep a Christian Believer unaware of his gifts of the Holy Spirit and about the practical efficacy and utility of those gifts in his life. Satan tries his best to either keep the Believer unaware, or to obstruct his using the gift properly, or to entangle him in wrong teachings about the gift to render him ineffective.
God’s Methodology:
God has always worked for the benefit of the entire mankind. When sin abounded on earth and God had to decide to destroy man through the flood, even at that time for those who would repent of their sins, heed to His warnings, turnaround from their evil ways, He had Noah build an Ark to save them. But other than Noah and his family, no one else listened to God or paid heed to His warnings; people of the world did not take His warnings seriously and perished in the flood.
When God brought Abraham out of the pagans into Canaan, the promise God gave to Abraham was for the benefit of the entire mankind. At that time, “Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."” (Genesis 12:1-3).
When God chose the descendants of Abraham, the Israelites, to be His people, through them He demonstrated to the people of the world gone astray from the one true God, His goodness, His care for His people, and His universal power and control over everything. But despite all the proofs He showed through Israel, the world did not accept the God of Israel. Instead, Israel adopted the ways and worship of the world and went astray from God.
But still, despite being despised and rejected by man in every possible way, God continues to take care of mankind. He allows all people to make use of His creation, and continues to provide for their needs, “that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45). Even through the Lord Jesus Christ, God has not provided for just a particular race or people, but for the entire mankind, the way for receiving forgiveness of sins, salvation, reconciliation with God, and the right to spend eternity with God as His children.
This is a very important characteristic of all of God’s works and gifts, that every work of God, every blessing, every plan, every power given by Him, is never ever for any particular person’s personal use and benefit. Rather, it is always for the benefit and growth of others, through that person; it is for providing the recipient of the gift the opportunity to tell the people about God, to attract them towards Him, so that they too may be saved. This is a very important fundamental principle related to God’s giving His power and gifts to men, which should never be overlooked or ignored; else, we will fall into many wrong doctrines and false teachings. Unfortunately, Satan has trapped many people into his wrong doctrines and teachings about the gifts of the Holy Spirit; and these wrong doctrines and false teachings are being preached and spread with impunity.
Satan’s Deceptive Devices:
If you pay some attention and consider it with a little bit of seriousness, it immediately becomes apparent that gifts of the Holy Spirit that these people who preach and teach wrong things about the Holy Spirit talk about and emphasize that people should strive to receive, have one thing in common. All of the gifts they emphatically preach and talk about are the ones which they can use for themselves, can use to gain status and honour in the congregation and society, can gain personal benefits through them; and they all can serve to pump up a person’s ego. The sad thing is that these gifts have been given by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the people and congregation, as is written about them in God’s Word. But the way these gifts are presented and used by these people, that destroys the purpose and utility of these gifts.
This is a devious trick of Satan to spread and seat his falsehood into the hearts and minds of people by presenting it as an act of godliness and spirituality. So many people have rendered ineffective and vain their gifts, by having fallen prey to Satan’s devices; they have become fruitless and useless for God, and have lost their eternal benefits. How terrible and heart-breaking will be the day for them when as in Matthew 7:23, they will get to hear from the Lord Jesus Christ, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” If they had taken God’s Word seriously, if they had learnt not man-made teachings and doctrines but what God has said in His Word, if they had carefully examined and evaluated all teachings and doctrines carefully from God’s word before accepting any of them, then they would never have fallen prey to Satan’s devices. God the Holy Spirit would have taught them the eternal truths of God’s Word; shown, told, and explained the right teachings and doctrines to them. But they chose to pay attention to the teachings and practices of men, and ended up wasting away their ministry and loosing their eternal blessings.
If you are a Christian Believer, then please closely examine and evaluate your beliefs, understanding, concepts, and notions about the Holy Spirit, His working, and His gifts, from the Word of God and ensure that you are not into any man-made doctrines and contrived teachings, but are firmly established in the true, tried and tested teachings and doctrines of the Bible. Make the necessary corrections while you have the time and opportunity, else it could be very harmful and painful for your eternity. Never forget what the Lord said in Matthew 7:23 and the parable of the ten virgins - the five foolish ones could never retrieve what they lost because of their carelessness and not doing the right thing while they had the time; they were never accepted in.
If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, a child of God, entitled to a place in heaven, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start learning, understanding, and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.
If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
