भाग 1 – प्रस्तावना

 

    आज से हम एक नए विषय पर विचार करने जा रहे हैं, जो वर्तमान में मण्डलियों में काफी असमंजस तथा वाद-विवाद का कारण है, और कलीसियाओं में मतभेदों का भी कारण बना हुआ है। जैसा उपरोक्त शीर्षक से प्रकट है, यह विषय है कलीसियाओं में महिलाओं द्वारा पास्टर और प्रचारक की भूमिकाओं को निभाना। यह विषय सहज नहीं है, और पाठकों से विनम्र निवेदन है कि धैर्य तथा शांत मन से, और किसी पूर्व धारणा के अनुसार उत्तेजित हुए बिना, बाइबल से संगत निष्कर्ष तक पहुँचने के लिए, कृपया पूरी श्रृंखला को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें और समझें। श्रृंखला के आरम्भ ही में यह स्पष्ट कर देना उचित होगा कि इन लेखों और इस श्रृंखला का उद्देश्य किसी भी रीति से स्त्रियों को पुरुषों से भिन्न दर्जे का या पुरुषों के अधीन दिखाना नहीं है। वरन, जैसा हमेशा ही पहले के अन्य विषयों एवं लेखों में रहा है, केवल परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के अनुसार विषय का विश्लेषण करना और बाइबल के संबंधित हवाले आप के सामने रखना है। उस विश्लेषण और उन हवालों को स्वीकार अथवा अस्वीकार करना आप का व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है।

    आज हम प्रस्तावना के रूप में शैतान की कार्यविधि और षड्यंत्र रचना के आधार के साथ आरम्भ करेंगे, जिसके द्वारा उसने कलीसियाओं में इस विषय को लेकर वाद-विवाद और मतभेद डाले हुए हैं, और उन्हें बढ़ा रहा है। 2 कुरिन्थियों 2:11 में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस द्वारा लिखवाया है, “कि शैतान का हम पर दांव न चले, क्योंकि हम उस की युक्तियों से अनजान नहीं”; अर्थात शैतान कलीसियाओं में तब ही सफलता के साथ कार्यकारी हो सकता है जब मसीही उसकी कार्यविधियों और युक्तियों से अनजान रहेंगे। यदि मसीही शैतान की कार्यविधियों और युक्तियों को पहचानने वाले होंगे तो वे उनके प्रति सचेत भी रहेंगे, और उन्हें सफल भी नहीं होने देंगे। फिर, 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3 में लिखा है, “परन्तु मैं डरता हूं कि जैसे सांप ने अपनी चतुराई से हव्वा को बहकाया, वैसे ही तुम्हारे मन उस सिधाई और पवित्रता से जो मसीह के साथ होनी चाहिए कहीं भ्रष्‍ट न किए जाएं।” कहने का तात्पर्य यह है कि शैतान की कार्यविधि है लोगों को चतुराई से बहकाना – अपने झूठ को परमेश्वर के वचन के सत्य में लपेट कर चुपके से हमारे अन्दर डाल देना, तथा उसके उस झूठ को हमारे अन्दर डाल और पनपा कर प्रभु के लोगों को उस सिधाई और पवित्रता से भ्रष्ट कर देना, जिससे वे मसीह के साथ बने न रह सकें । क्योंकि जहाँ झूठ, अनाज्ञाकारिता, परमेश्वर और उसके वचन को नहीं वरन मनुष्यों की गढ़ी हुई बातों को प्राथमिकता मिलना और पालन करना, और अपवित्रता है, परमेश्वर वहाँ साथ बना नहीं रह सकता है (यशायाह 59:2; मत्ती 15:7-9)।

    शैतान ने इसी कार्यविधि और षड्यंत्र का अदन की वाटिका में प्रयोग किया, हव्वा को बहका कर पाप को संसार में प्रवेश करवाया, और आज भी उसी युक्ति के द्वारा अपनी कुटिलता और दुष्टता को कलीसियाओं में घुसा और फैला रहा है। अगले लेख में हम शैतान की इस युक्ति को देखेंगे और समझेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

According to the Bible, Do Women Have the Permission to Serve as Pastors and Preach from the Pulpit in the Church?

Part 1 – Introduction

 

    From today we are going to start pondering over a new topic, one that has become a cause of much confusion and debate, and also of divisions in the Churches. As is apparent from the above heading, this topic is women being permitted to function as Pastors and Preachers in the Churches. This is not an easy, straightforward topic, therefore a humble request to the readers, please go through the articles patiently and with a quiet heart, without getting excited because of any previous notions, and so as to reach conclusions consistent with the Bible, please go through and think over the whole series first. It would be appropriate at the very beginning of this series to clarify that the intention of this series is not to show women to be in any way of a different level than men, nor of women to be subservient to men. But, as has always been the case in all the previous articles, the purpose is to analyze the topic according to the Biblical facts, and to present the related Bible references before you. To accept or to reject the analysis and the Bible references is your personal decision.

    Today, in the Introduction, we will start by looking at the strategy and devices of Satan, through which he has brought much discord and divisions in the Churches, and is continuing to multiply it. God the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul had it written in 2 Corinthians 2:11, “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices”; i.e., Satan can be successful in the Churches only when the Christians are unaware of his strategies and devices. If the Christians learn to recognize his strategies and devices, they will also become alert and cautious towards them, and will keep them from being successful. Then, in 2 Corinthians 11:3 it is written, “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” In other words, Satan’s strategy is to cleverly deceive the people – deceptively bring in his lies wrapped in the truth of God’s Word, and then make those lies take root and grow in us, and thereby corrupt us from the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus, so that we no longer can continue in fellowship with Christ. Since, wherever there are lies, deceit, disobedience, primacy and acceptance is given to man-made and contrived concepts instead of God and God’s Word, and corruption, there God cannot continue to fellowship with man (Isaiah 59:2; Matthew 15:7-9).

    Satan used this strategy and device in the Garden of Eden, deceived Eve, got sin to enter into the world, and even today, is using the same strategy and device, he is introducing and spreading his deviousness and evils in the Churches. In the next article, we will see and understand this device of Satan.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

सुसमाचार को अप्रभावी करने वाली कुछ गलत शिक्षाएँ

हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं (इफिसियों 4:14)। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, “यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता”, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है।

 

पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, पहले तो प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखा; फिर उसके बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखा; और अब पिछले कुछ लेखों से हमने सुसमाचार से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है, जिससे कि हम सही सुसमाचार क्या है देख और समझ सकें और गलत या भ्रष्ट को पहचान सकें, ताकि स्वयं भी गलत से बच कर रह सकें तथा औरों को भी बचा सकें। इस संदर्भ में पिछले लेख में हमने सुसमाचार के विषय भ्रम और गलत शिक्षाएं को पहचानने के आधार को देखा था। आज हम सच्चे और उद्धार देने वाले सुसमाचार के शैतान द्वारा बिगाड़े जाने, भ्रष्ट किए जाने, और विभिन्न रीतियों से अप्रभावी किए जाने वाली आम युक्तियों के बारे में देखेंगे।  

सुसमाचार को अप्रभावी करने के लिए शैतान की गलत शिक्षाएं और बातें

हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि सुसमाचार का सार 1 कुरिन्थियों 15:1-4 में दिया गया है। तात्पर्य यह, कि जिस भी सुसमाचार प्रचार में इन पदों की बातें नहीं हैं, या इन पदों की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डाली गई हैं, अर्थात, इन पदों में से कुछ घटाया या बढ़ाया गया है, वह “सुसमाचार” भ्रष्ट है, बिगाड़ा हुआ है, अस्वीकार्य है, क्योंकि वह अप्रभावी है! ये पद और उनके तथ्य हमारे लिए सुसमाचार संबंधित हर शिक्षा को जाँचने और परखने की कसौटी प्रदान करते हैं।

इन बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, हम संक्षेप में देखेंगे कि शैतान किस प्रकार से अपनी युक्तियों में हमें फंसा कर, परमेश्वर की बात से हमारा ध्यान अपनी बात की ओर लाकर और उसे मनवाकर, हमारे लिए सुसमाचार को अप्रभावी कर देता है। 

सुसमाचार के बारे में सामान्यतः पाई जाने वाले गलत धारणाएं है:

• सुसमाचार केवल गैर-मसीहियों के लिए, जो ईसाई नहीं हैं, उन्हीं के लिए है: वास्तविकता में सुसमाचार संसार के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए है, चाहे उसका धर्म, धारणा, मान्यता कुछ भी हो; ईसाइयों या मसीहियों के लिए भी (प्रेरितों 17:30-31)। सभी को उसके लिए व्यक्तिगत रीति से निर्णय लेना है। 

• ईसाई धर्म और उससे संबंधित रीतियों के निर्वाह से सुसमाचार का भी पालन हो जाता है: वास्तविकता में किसी भी प्रकार की कोई भी औपचारिकता के निर्वाह के द्वारा सुसमाचार का पालन नहीं होता है। सुसमाचार का व्यक्ति के जीवन में कार्यकारी होना उसके सच्चे समर्पित मन से अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप और प्रभु यीशु से पापों के क्षमा माँगकर उसे समर्पित हो जाने से आरंभ होता है। यही बात इस बात को प्रकट करती है कि यह बारंबार दोहराया जाने वाला कोई धार्मिक अनुष्ठान नहीं है, वरन यदि सच्चे और समर्पित मन से किया जाए तो यह जीवन में एक बार लिया जाने वाला निर्णय है। सच्चे मन से सुसमाचार को स्वीकार करने से, वास्तविकता में मसीही विश्वासी होने का जीवन, मसीह को समर्पित और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता के जीवन का आरंभ होता है।

• प्रभु यीशु मसीह से चंगाई प्राप्त करना भी सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करने और प्रभु का जन हो जाने का प्रमाण है: प्रभु यीशु ने जिसने चाही, उन सभी चंगाई दी, किसी से कोई भेदभाव नहीं किया (प्रेरितों 10:38)। किन्तु जिन्हें प्रभु ने चंगा किया था, पिलातुस एक सामने वे ही लोग बहुत ज़ोर देकर उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने की माँग करने लगे, और उसे क्रूस पर मरवा दिया। वे अपने स्वार्थ के लिए यीशु के जुड़े साथ हुए थे; सच्चे मन से प्रभु को समर्पण नहीं किया था; प्रभु के जन नहीं बने थे। कुछ यही आज भी होता है, लोग प्रभु यीशु के नाम में चंगाई तो प्राप्त कर लेते हैं, किन्तु बहुत ही कम ऐसे होते हैं जो उसे समर्पण करते हैं और उसकी अधीनता में जीवन जीने का निर्णय करते हैं। 

• प्रभु यीशु मसीह और उसके वचन के बारे में ज्ञान में बढ़ना, सुसमाचार का पालन करने के समान है: बाइबल के और प्रभु परमेश्वर के बारे में संसार में सांसारिक ज्ञान की बहुत सी बातें और शिक्षाएं हैं उपलब्ध और प्रचलित, और यह सांसारिक ज्ञान लोगों को प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास में नहीं लाता है, वरन परमेश्वर और उसके वचन पर संदेह उत्पन्न करके उन से दूर करता है। इसी प्रकार से बाइबल कॉलेज और सेमनरियों से शिक्षा पाने वाला हर जन प्रभु का सच्चा समर्पित विश्वासी नहीं होता है। बहुत से लोगों के लिए यह शिक्षा-दीक्षा केवल नौकरी करने और सांसारिक कमाई का एक साधन है। न वे स्वयं प्रभु को समर्पित होते हैं, न औरों को यह सिखाते हैं; वरन धर्म-कर्म-अनुष्ठानों की औपचारिकता के निर्वाह के द्वारा ही काम चलाते रहने की शिक्षाओं में उलझे और उलझाए रखते हैं। वे स्वयं भी नरक के भागी हैं, और जाने कितनों को नरक का भागी बना दे रहे हैं। 

• चंगाइयों और आश्चर्यकर्मों को करना प्रभु की सामर्थ्य का और प्रभु के सुसमाचार के पालन करने का प्रमाण है: इस धारणा को मानने वालों को मत्ती 7:21-23 पर बहुत गंभीरता से ध्यान और मनन करना चाहिए। मत्ती में उल्लेखित उन लोगों ने प्रभु यीशु के नाम से बहुत कुछ किया, किन्तु प्रभु यीशु ने अंत में उन्हें “कुकर्म करने वाले” कह दिया, और यह भी कह दिया कि प्रभु ने उन्हें कभी नहीं जाना था। यहूदा इस्करियोती भी अन्य शिष्यों के साथ प्रचार और चंगाई की सेवकाइयों में गया था, इन अभियानों में सम्मिलित होकर कार्य किया था, और किसी को भी उस पर कभी संदेह नहीं हुआ। किन्तु उसमें इस सामर्थ्य के होने और उसके द्वारा इसे उपयोग करने के बावजूद, न तो उसका जीवन बदला, और न ही वह वास्तव में कभी प्रभु का जन बना; अन्ततः उसे धोखा देकर पकड़वा दिया, मरवा दिया। ये बातें सुसमाचार को मानने का प्रमाण नहीं हैं, क्योंकि शैतान भी ऐसी ही बातों के द्वारा लोगों को भरमाता है, तथा प्रभु भी इन बातों में रुचि और विश्वास रखने वालों को उन आत्माओं के वक्ष में कर देता है (2 थिस्सलुनीकियों 2:9-11)। 

• सुसमाचार प्रचार में मनुष्यों के ज्ञान और समझ को मिलाना भी सुसमाचार को व्यर्थ और अप्रभावी कर देता है: पिछले लेख में कही गई निर्गमन 20:24-25 की बात को ध्यान कीजिए - जहाँ मनुष्य परमेश्वर की बात को सुधारने और सँवारने का प्रयास करते हैं, उसे अशुद्ध और अनुपयोगी कर देते हैं। पौलुस ने अपनी सेवकाई के विषय लिखा, “क्योंकि मसीह ने मुझे बपतिस्मा देने को नहीं, वरन सुसमाचार सुनाने को भेजा है, और यह भी शब्दों के ज्ञान के अनुसार नहीं, ऐसा न हो कि मसीह का क्रूस व्यर्थ ठहरे” (1 कुरिन्थियों 1:17)। सुसमाचार को उसकी सादगी, स्पष्टता, और शुद्धता में, जैसा वह है, वैसा ही दिया जाना है; अन्यथा मनुष्य की किसी भी बात की मिलावट के द्वारा वह अशुद्ध और अप्रभावी, परमेश्वर के उद्देश्यों के लिए अनुपयोगी हो जाता है। 

• सुसमाचार में भले कार्यों का योगदान सिखाना भी उसे भ्रष्ट और अप्रभावी करना है। वचन में यह स्पष्ट लिखा और सिखाया गया है कि कोई भी व्यक्ति किसी भी प्रकार के भले कार्यों के द्वारा या कैसे भी कर्मों से उद्धार नहीं पा सकता है; यह केवल और केवल विश्वास द्वारा ही हो सकता है, क्योंकि उद्धार परमेश्वर से कमाया नहीं जा सकता है, उसे केवल उसके अनुग्रह के दान के रूप में परमेश्वर से स्वीकार किया जा सकता है: “जब हम अपराधों के कारण मरे हुए थे, तो हमें मसीह के साथ जिलाया; (अनुग्रह ही से तुम्हारा उद्धार हुआ है।); क्योंकि विश्वास के द्वारा अनुग्रह ही से तुम्हारा उद्धार हुआ है, और यह तुम्हारी ओर से नहीं, वरन परमेश्वर का दान है” (इफिसियों 2:5, 8)। मनुष्य के सभी भले कार्य परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में मैले चिथड़ों के समान हैं, “हम तो सब के सब अशुद्ध मनुष्य के से हैं, और हमारे धर्म के काम सब के सब मैले चिथड़ों के समान हैं। हम सब के सब पत्ते के समान मुर्झा जाते हैं, और हमारे अधर्म के कामों ने हमें वायु के समान उड़ा दिया है” (यशायाह 64:6); वे किसी भी रीति से परमेश्वर के शुद्ध और पवित्र कार्य को संवार नहीं सकते हैं; बिगाड़ अवश्य सकते हैं, और बिगाड़ते भी हैं।  

• सुसमाचार का उद्देश्य भली मनसा और भले कार्य करना समझाना है: यह शिक्षा देना मनुष्यों को भरमाना है, क्योंकि संसार भर में ऐसे अनेकों लोग हैं और हुए हैं जो मसीही विश्वास में नहीं हैं और न ही सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करते हैं; किन्तु उनके जीवन नैतिकता के भले कार्यों तथा औरों की भलाई करने से भरे हुए हैं, और इसके लिए वे लोगों में बहुत आदरणीय हैं, सुविख्यात हैं। अर्थात, भले कार्य और भलाई करना सुसमाचार से नहीं है; व्यक्ति का विवेक और मानसिकता भी उसे इनके लिए प्रेरित और कार्यकारी कर सकती है, करती है। क्योंकि न्याय के दिन प्रभु यीशु मसीह के द्वारा, सुसमाचार के आधार पर ही लोगों का न्याय होगा, “जिस दिन परमेश्वर मेरे सुसमाचार के अनुसार यीशु मसीह के द्वारा मनुष्यों की गुप्त बातों का न्याय करेगा” (रोमियों 2:16), इसलिए सुसमाचार का उद्देश्य लोगों को भले कामों के लिए प्रेरित करना नहीं, उन्हें उद्धार पाने के लिए प्रेरित करना है, प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है।  

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप प्रभु परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार से संबंधित किसी गलत शिक्षाओं धारणाओं में न पड़े हों। यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए कि आपने सच्चे सुसमाचार पर सच्चा विश्वास किया है, आप सच्चे पश्चाताप और समर्पण तथा सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा के द्वारा परमेश्वर के जन बने हैं। न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाली ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें, यदि सही हों, तब ही उन्हें मानें, अन्यथा अस्वीकार कर दें।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Satan’s Wrong Teachings To Render the Gospel Ineffective

We have been seeing in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it!” In this verse a very important way to identify the false and the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.

In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, next we had seen the Biblical facts and teachings about the wrong things often taught and preached regarding the Holy Spirit. Now, we have started to take up the wrong teachings about the Gospel. For this we first need to know, learn, and understand the correct or Biblical things about the Gospel. In the Introduction to this topic, we had seen that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus is not about any earthly kingdom, wealth or prosperity, but about man being able to enter the kingdom of God. We had seen that the first step to man’s entering God’s kingdom is his repenting of sins, which is equally important and applicable for everybody, no matter what their religion, beliefs, notions, or community may be; even if your family has been “christian” for many generations and you may be considering yourself as “people of God.” In the last article we moved ahead from here, and saw what the Gospel is, what it means; that it is an information from God for entire mankind, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, age, belief etc. for being saved from sins freely through the Lord Jesus. It is not a tradition, ritual, or method, the fulfillment of which enables a person to reach a higher level of being “religious” or “righteous” so that God becomes compelled to give him an entrance into His kingdom. The Gospel becomes effective and working in a person’s life by his repenting of his sins, asking the Lord Jesus to forgive him, and surrendering his life to the Lord Jesus. Today we will see the various ploys and devices that Satan uses to corrupt and spoil the true and life-giving Gospel, and renders it ineffective.

Gospel - Satan’s Ploys and Devices for Making it Ineffective

We had seen in the previous article that the core of the Gospel is given to us in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. The implication is that any preaching of the Gospel, that does not incorporate the matter of these verses, or has things other than what these verses say, i.e., if anything has been added to or subtracted from this core of the Gospel, that ‘gospel’ is corrupted, has been spoilt, is unacceptable, and is ineffective. These verses provide to us the standard to test and evaluate every teaching related to the Gospel.

Keeping these things in mind, we will see, in brief, the various ploys and devices Satan uses to entangle us in his deviousness, diverts our attention away from God and His Word, and beguiles us into following what he says; thereby rendering the Gospel ineffective in people’s lives.

 

The commonly held misunderstandings about the Gospel and salvation are:

• The Gospel is only for the non-Christians, and not for the Christians. The Biblical fact is that the Gospel is for every person of the world, irrespective of their religion, belief, concepts etc.; even for the “christians”, those who are born in “christian” families (Acts 17:30-31). Everyone has to make a personal decision about it.

• By fulfilling the rites and rituals of the Christian religion one also fulfills the Gospel. The Biblical fact is that no fulfillment of any ritual fulfills the Gospel; since the Gospel is not a formality. The fulfillment of the Gospel in the life of a person is by his sincerely repenting of his sins, asking their forgiveness from the Lord Jesus, and surrendering one’s life to Him to live in obedience to Him and His Word. This by itself makes it clear that the sincere and true acceptance of the Gospel by a person can only be a onetime event, it cannot be a ritual to be carried out repetitively. The acceptance of the Gospel begins the lifetime journey of living life as a submitted and committed disciple of Christ, of actually being a Christian.

• Receiving healing from the Lord Jesus is also evidence of believing the Gospel and becoming a believer in Christ Jesus. The Biblical fact is that the Lord Jesus healed all those who asked Him to heal them, never made any differentiation of any kind (Acts 10:38). But the very people amongst whom He healed and helped, in front of Pilate were vociferously asking for Him to be crucified and put to death. They were attracted and attached to the Lord Jesus only for their selfish motives; they had never surrendered and committed themselves to the Lord with a sincere heart; they had never become His Believers. Much the same holds true even today, when people receive healing in the name of the Lord, but hardly ever surrender to Him and commit their lives to Him.

• To grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus and His Word is similar to obeying the Gospel. The fact is that there is much worldly knowledge available in the world about the Bible and the Lord God, but this worldly knowledge does not bring people into having faith in the Lord Jesus; rather that knowledge often raises doubts about God and His Word and draws people away from the Lord. Similarly, all those who are trained in the Bible colleges and Seminaries are not truly surrendered and committed disciples of the Lord. For many of them, their training and knowledge is simply a means of getting a job and earning a living. Neither are such people committed and surrendered to the Lord, nor do they teach others to do so; all that they do is tell the people to fulfill the religious formalities and obligations, and keep them occupied in that. They are headed to hell themselves, and have destined innumerable others to hell as well.

• Being able to do healings and miracles is a proof of having the power of the Lord Jesus and believing in the Gospel. Biblically speaking, those who believe in this notion should pay careful heed and ponder over Matthew 7:21-23. The Lord Jesus says that many people did many things, including miracles and healings and casting out of demons in His name; but eventually, the Lord did not accept them or any of their works, called what they did as “lawlessness” or “iniquity”, and said that He never knew them. Judas Iscariot too went out with the other disciples on their preaching and healing campaigns, worked with the other disciples in them, and no one ever doubted him. But because of this Lord given power in his life, and his having used that power, neither did his own life change, nor did he ever actually become a committed disciple of the Lord. Instead, he eventually betrayed Him and conspired to have the Lord killed. Therefore, we see that these things are not a proof of believing in and accepting the Gospel; Satan beguiles and misleads people through such things; and the Lord too will let those people who do not accept the truth of His Word go into the hands of such deceivers (2 Thessalonians 2:9-11).

• Adding things of human wisdom and understanding too corrupts and renders the Gospel vain and ineffective. Review what was written in the previous article about Exodus 20:24-25 - wherever man tries to improve upon what God has done and instructed, he ends up corrupting it and making it unusable and ineffective. Paul wrote about his ministry, “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect” (1 Corinthians 1:17). The Gospel has to be shared just as it is, in its simplicity, clarity, and purity; else any mixing of any human thought and wisdom in it will make it impure and ineffective, unsuitable for the purposes of God.

• Teaching the necessity of addition of good works into the Gospel is also corrupting it and rendering it ineffective. It is very clearly written and taught in God’s Word that no person can ever, through any good works or works of any kind, attain to salvation; salvation is only through faith, because salvation cannot ever be earned, but can only be received from the Lord as a gift of His grace: “even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:5, 8). All, each and every one of man’s good works are like filthy rags in the sight of God “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away” (Isaiah 64:6); they can in no way improve or embellish God’s pure and holy works; they can only spoil and corrupt God’s works, and that is all that man’s good works do.

• The purpose of the Gospel is not to instruct or teach the philosophy of being good and doing good to be acceptable to God. There always have been and still are innumerable people all over the world who have nothing to do with the Christian Faith, nor with believing in the Gospel; but their lives are full of morality, good works, helping others; and for this they are very well known and honoured. Therefore, being good and doing good is not because of, or through the Gospel; the conscience and mentality of a person too can, and also does encourage a person to do this. But the purpose of the Gospel is to encourage people to repent of their sins and be saved through coming into faith in the Lord Jesus. Because on the day of judgement, everyone will be judged by their response to the Gospel “in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel” (Romans 2:16).

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

पुनःअवलोकन, निष्कर्ष, परमेश्वर की कार्य-विधि, और शैतान की भ्रामक युक्तियाँ  

मसीही सेवकाई और जीवन में पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों से संबंधित इस श्रुंखला में हमने पिछले कुछ लेखों में इस विषय की आधारभूत बातों को देखा और समझा है। इन आधारभूत बातों की सही समझ के आधार पर ही पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों से संबंधित शिक्षाओं को समझना, उनके सही या गलत होने की पहचान करने, पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों के सही उपयोग के बारे में समझने, और गलत शिक्षाओं से बचने को समझा और पहचाना जा सकता है। इसलिए, इन बातों में और आगे बढ़ने से पहले हम आज के लेख में अभी तक के लेखों का पुनः अवलोकन करके उनका सारांश देख लेते हैं, तथा परमेश्वर की कार्य-विधि और शैतान की भ्रामक युक्तियों, जिनका उपयोग वह परमेश्वर के कार्यों को बिगाड़ने के लिये करता है, का भी पुनः अवलोकन कर लेते हैं।

 पुनःअवलोकन:

 मसीही जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा मसीही विश्वासियों को दिए गए वरदानों की इस अध्ययन शृंखला में हम अभी तक उन आधारभूत बातों को देखते आए हैं, जिनकी समझ और विचार रखना, के लिए अनिवार्य है। इस संदर्भ में हम अभी तक देख चुके हैं कि:

• परमेश्वर स्वयं कार्यशील है और अपने लोगों को भी कार्यशील देखना चाहता है। 

• परमेश्वर ने लोगों को मसीही विश्वास में निठल्ले होने तथा निष्क्रिय एवं निष्फल रहते हुए परमेश्वर की आशीषों को उपयोग करते रहने के लिए नहीं लिया है। 

• परमेश्वर ने प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी द्वारा परमेश्वर के लिए करने के लिए कुछ न कुछ कार्य निर्धारित किए हैं। 

• परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित किए गए इन कार्यों को सुचारु रीति से करने के लिए परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा स्वतः ही प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को उस कार्य के लिए उपयुक्त कोई न कोई वरदान अवश्य देता है। 

साथ ही हमने मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन और सेवकाई में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की भूमिका के संदर्भ में यह भी देखा है कि मसीही विश्वास में आते ही तुरंत ही उसी पल से हर विश्वासी के अन्दर पवित्र आत्मा आकर निवास करने लगता है; इसके किसी को लिए कोई अलग से प्रार्थना या प्रयास नहीं करना पड़ता है। यह मसीही विश्वास में आने के साथ ही, परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की गई और स्वतः ही होने वाली स्वाभाविक प्रक्रिया है। इससे संबंधित जो दूसरी महत्वपूर्ण बात हमने देखी थी वह थी कि व्यक्ति में पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति उस व्यक्ति के बदले हुए जीवन और उसमें दिखने वाले आत्मा के फलों (गलातीयों 5:22-23) के द्वारा प्रमाणित होती है, न कि बाइबल के बाहर की विचित्र हरकतों, उछल-कूद, शोर-शराबे आदि के व्यवहार से, अथवा चिह्न-चमत्कार आदि करने के द्वारा।

निष्कर्ष:

शैतान का उद्देश्य सदा ही परमेश्वर के कार्य में बाधाएं डालना और उसकी योजनाओं को असफल करने के प्रयास करना रहता है। क्योंकि परमेश्वर मसीही विश्वासियों में होकर संसार में और संसार के लोगों के समक्ष अपने कार्य करता है, इसलिए परमेश्वर के कार्यों को बाधित करने के लिए शैतान मसीही विश्वासियों को व्यर्थ की बातों में उलझा कर रखता है जिससे वे अपने निर्धारित कार्य न कर सकें, और उसके द्वारा फैलाई जाने वाली भक्तिपूर्ण प्रतीत होने वाली किन्तु वास्तविकता में भरमाने वाली युक्तियों में उलझे रह कर समय बर्बाद करते रहें। अपने इसी उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिए वह मसीही विश्वासियों को जाने-अनजाने में परमेश्वर का अनाज्ञाकारी भी बना कर रखता है; उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन के अध्ययन और आज्ञाकारिता के स्थान पर मनुष्यों, मतों और डिनॉमिनेशंस की शिक्षाओं और प्रचार का पालन करने वाला बनाए रखता है। यह समझते हुए कि वे परमेश्वर के लिए, या परमेश्वर की ओर से कार्य कर रहे हैं, वे अपनी ही धारणाओं, इच्छाओं, और मनुष्यों की मन-गढ़न्त बातों तथा गलत शिक्षाओं के अनुसार कार्य करते रहते हैं, और अन्ततः उनके सभी कार्य और प्रयास व्यर्थ एवं निष्फल होते हैं। 

शैतान की एक और कार्य-विधि है मसीही विश्वासी को उसके वरदानों और उनकी उपयोगिता के बारे में अनभिज्ञ रखना, या उन्हें ठीक से उपयोग नहीं करने देना, उनके बारे में उसे गलत शिक्षाओं में फंसा देना, जिससे कि वे प्रभावी न हो सकें।

 

परमेश्वर की कार्य-विधि:

परमेश्वर ने सदा ही समस्त मानवजाति की भलाई के लिए ही कार्य किया है। जब पृथ्वी पर पाप  बहुत बढ़ गया, और परमेश्वर ने जल-प्रलय के द्वारा पापी मनुष्यों के नाश की ठान ली, तब भी उसने उनके लिए जो पापों से पश्चाताप कर लें, उसकी चेतावनियों को मान लें, अपनी बुराई से पलट जाएं, उनके बचाए जाने के लिए नूह के द्वारा एक जहाज़ बनवाया; किन्तु नूह और उसके परिवार को छोड़ और किसी ने परमेश्वर की नहीं सुनी, संसार के लोगों ने परमेश्वर की चेतावनियों को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया, और जल-प्रलय में नाश हो गए।

 

जब परमेश्वर अब्राहम को मूर्तिपूजकों में से निकालकर कनान में लेकर आया, तो अब्राहम को दी गई परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा में भी समस्त पृथ्वी की भलाई की योजना थी। उस समय, “यहोवा ने अब्राम से कहा, अपने देश, और अपनी जन्मभूमि, और अपने पिता के घर को छोड़कर उस देश में चला जा जो मैं तुझे दिखाऊंगा। और मैं तुझ से एक बड़ी जाति बनाऊंगा, और तुझे आशीष दूंगा, और तेरा नाम बड़ा करूंगा, और तू आशीष का मूल होगा। और जो तुझे आशीर्वाद दें, उन्हें मैं आशीष दूंगा; और जो तुझे कोसे, उसे मैं शाप दूंगा; और भूमण्डल के सारे कुल तेरे द्वारा आशीष पाएंगे” (उत्पत्ति 12:1-3)।

 

जब परमेश्वर ने अब्राहम के वंशजों, इस्राएलियों को अपने लोग होने के लिए चुना, तो उनमें होकर सच्चे परमेश्वर के विमुख एवं अनाज्ञाकारी हो चुके संसार के लोगों के सामने अपनी भलाई, अपने लोगों की देखभाल, और उनमें होकर अपनी सामर्थ्य तथा सार्वभौमिकता को दिखाया। किन्तु उसके सभी प्रमाणों के बावजूद संसार ने इस्राएल के परमेश्वर को नहीं अपनाया, वरन उलटे इस्राएल ने ही संसार की बातों को अपना लिया और परमेश्वर से दूर चला गया।

 

उसका हर रीति से तिरस्कार किए जाने के बावजूद, फिर भी परमेश्वर सभी की देखभाल करता रहता है, सभी मनुष्यों को उसकी सृष्टि का उपयोग करने देता है, सभी की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करता रहता है “जिस से तुम अपने स्‍वर्गीय पिता की सन्तान ठहरोगे क्योंकि वह भलों और बुरों दोनों पर अपना सूर्य उदय करता है, और धर्मियों और अधर्मियों दोनों पर मेंह बरसाता है” (मत्ती 5:45)। प्रभु यीशु मसीह में होकर भी परमेश्वर ने किसी जाति-विशेष, अथवा कुछ विशेष लोगों के लिए नहीं, परंतु समस्त मानवजाति के पापों की क्षमा, उद्धार, और परमेश्वर के साथ मेल-मिलाप कर लेने और अनन्तकाल के लिए परमेश्वर की संतान बनकर उस के साथ स्वर्ग के निवासी होने के लिए मार्ग बनाकर दिया।

 

परमेश्वर के कार्यों और वरदानों के संबंध में यह एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण सिद्धांत है, कि परमेश्वर का हर कार्य, हर आशीष, हर योजना, उसके द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली हर सामर्थ्य, कभी भी किसी व्यक्ति विशेष के लिए ही नहीं होती है, वरन उस व्यक्ति में होकर सभी की भलाई और उन्नति के लिए, संसार के लोगों को परमेश्वर के बारे में बताने, उसकी ओर आकर्षित करने, और उसकी निकटता में लाने के लिए होती है। परमेश्वर द्वारा दी जाने वाली बातों और सामर्थ्य से संबंधित इस मौलिक सिद्धांत की कभी अनदेखी नहीं करनी चाहिए, अन्यथा बहुत सी गलतियों में पड़ जाएंगे। और पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा दिए जाने वाले वरदानों को लेकर शैतान ने बहुत से लोगों को, विशेषकर उनको जो पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाओं को सिखाते और फैलाते हैं, इसी गलती में फंसा रखा है।

 

शैतान की भ्रामक युक्तियाँ:

यदि आप थोड़ा सा भी विचार करें तो यह तुरंत ही प्रकट हो जाता है कि ये गलत शिक्षाएं फैलाने वाले लोग जिन पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों और सामर्थ्य की बातें करते हैं, जिन्हें मांगने और पाने के लिए सिखाते हैं, वे सभी व्यक्ति द्वारा अपने उपयोग के लिए या व्यक्ति की प्रतिष्ठा और सामाजिक अथवा मण्डली में स्तर को बढ़ाने, लोगों से प्रशंसा पाने, व्यक्ति के अहम को बढ़ाने वाले होते हैं। दुख की बात यह है कि इन सभी वरदानों को भी परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने मण्डली तथा लोगों की भलाई के लिए दिया है, किन्तु जिस प्रकार से और जिस स्वरूप में ये लोग उन वरदानों को प्रस्तुत करते हैं, उससे उनकी वास्तविक उपयोगिता एवं दिए जाने का उद्देश्य भ्रष्ट हो जाता है।

 

यह भक्ति और आत्मिकता के भेष में ढाँप कर, शैतान की कुटिलता और झूठ को लोगों में बैठा देने और फैला देने का तरीका है। शैतान के इस चंगुल में फँस कर वे लोग अपने इन वरदानों को व्यर्थ कर देते हैं, और जिनकी सेवकाई के लिए ये वरदान थे, वे लोग निष्क्रिय तथा निष्फल हो जाते हैं, अपनी आशीषों को गँवा देते हैं। उनके लिए वह दिन और समय कितना भयानक और हृदय-विदारक होगा, जब मत्ती 7:23 के अनुरूप, प्रभु यीशु मसीह उनसे कहेगा, “मैं ने तुम को कभी नहीं जाना, हे कुकर्म करने वालों, मेरे पास से चले जाओ”। यदि उन्होंने परमेश्वर के वचन को गंभीरता से लिया होता, मनुष्यों की धारणाओं और मन-गढ़न्त बातों के अनुसार नहीं वरन बाइबल की बातों के अनुसार सीखा होता, स्वीकार करने से पहले सभी शिक्षाओं को बारीकी से जाँचा-परख होता, तो वे कभी शैतान की इन चालों में नहीं फँसते, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें वचन की सच्चाइयों को दिखाता, बताता, और समझाता। किन्तु उन्होंने परमेश्वर के वचन के स्थान पर मनुष्यों की बातों को अधिक महत्व दिया, और अपनी सेवकाई व्यर्थ कर ली, अपनी अनन्तकालीन आशीषें गँवा दीं।

 

यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों से संबंधित अपने विचारों, मान्यताओं, और धारणाओं को परमेश्वर के वचन से जाँच-परख लें, और सुनिश्चित कर लें कि आप किसी गलत शिक्षा अथवा मनुष्य की गढ़ी हुई बातों में नहीं फंसे हुए हैं, वरन वचन की खराई और सही शिक्षा में ही स्थापित हैं। समय रहते सुधार न करने के परिणाम, वर्तमान में तथा अनन्तकाल के लिए, बहुत हानिकारक हो सकते हैं। प्रभु द्वारा मत्ती 7:23 में तथा उन पाँच मूर्ख कुँवारियों से कही गई बात को स्मरण कीजिए - बाद में सुधार का प्रयास करने से उन्हें कुछ लाभ नहीं हुआ, वे प्रभु से दूर ही रहे।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Review; Conclusion; God’s Methodology; Satan’s Deception

In this ongoing series on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in Christian Believer’s life and ministry, in the last few articles, we have seen and considered some very fundamental and necessary things relevant to this topic. Only by having a proper and correct understanding about these fundamental things can we understand the teachings about the gifts of the Holy Spirit; know and identify whether those teachings are correct or not; learn about properly using the gifts of the Holy Spirit; and see how we can stay safe and away from the wrong teachings. Therefore, before proceeding any further on this topic, in today’s article we will review these past articles, see their conclusion, recall God’s way of working, and review the deceptive devices of Satan that he uses to disrupt God’s work.

Review:

In context of the fundamental teachings relevant to the gifts of the Holy Spirit in Christian life and ministry, so far, we have seen that:

• God is always at work and wants to see His people working as well.

• God has not called people into Christian Faith to live an inactive, lazy life, using the blessings of God without doing any work.

• God has assigned some work or the other to each and every Christian Believer.

• God the Holy Spirit, on His own, gives some gift or the other to every Christian Believer, so that they may carry out their assigned work and ministry in a worthy and effective manner.  

We have also seen that God the Holy Spirit comes to reside in every Christian Believer from the very moment they are saved, and no true Christian Believer has to do anything extra to have the Holy Spirit come and reside in him - this is an automatic, God ordained and given process, that comes into effect at the moment of salvation of every person. The second important thing that we had seen was that the proof of the Holy Spirit residing in a person is the changed life of the person and the presence of the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) in the life and behavior of that person. Contrary to the popular, often and emphatically stated notions, the unBiblical odd behavior and bodily actions, repetitively making odd noises that cannot be understood, or claims of doing signs and wonders etc., are not the proofs of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a person, Biblically.

Conclusion:

Satan’s purpose is to always and, in whichever way possible, obstruct God’s plans and try to make them fail through his some device or the other. Since God works in the world and before the people of the world through the Christian Believers, therefore, to obstruct God’s working, Satan tries to keep the Christian Believers involved and occupied with vain things, so that they are kept away from doing their God assigned work and ministry. One of Satan’s tricks is to keep people attracted to and occupied with false teachings, wrong doctrines, and unBiblical things, that appear to be godly, reverent, and righteous, but actually are not. By getting them occupied in these vain unBiblical things he not only wastes the time and efforts of the Believers, but even makes them disobedient to God and His Word; into people who give more importance to the preaching and teaching of men, sects and denominations, instead of studying and obeying God’s Word. People, assuming that they are working for God, or on God’s behest, keep on doing things and works according to their own concepts, notions, desires, contrived teachings and false doctrines devised, preached, and taught by men; and eventually all their efforts and works will turn out to be vain and fruitless.

 

One more device of Satan is to keep a Christian Believer unaware of his gifts of the Holy Spirit and about the practical efficacy and utility of those gifts in his life. Satan tries his best to either keep the Believer unaware, or to obstruct his using the gift properly, or to entangle him in wrong teachings about the gift to render him ineffective.

God’s Methodology:

God has always worked for the benefit of the entire mankind. When sin abounded on earth and God had to decide to destroy man through the flood, even at that time for those who would repent of their sins, heed to His warnings, turnaround from their evil ways, He had Noah build an Ark to save them. But other than Noah and his family, no one else listened to God or paid heed to His warnings; people of the world did not take His warnings seriously and perished in the flood.

When God brought Abraham out of the pagans into Canaan, the promise God gave to Abraham was for the benefit of the entire mankind. At that time, “Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."” (Genesis 12:1-3).

When God chose the descendants of Abraham, the Israelites, to be His people, through them He demonstrated to the people of the world gone astray from the one true God, His goodness, His care for His people, and His universal power and control over everything. But despite all the proofs He showed through Israel, the world did not accept the God of Israel. Instead, Israel adopted the ways and worship of the world and went astray from God.

 

But still, despite being despised and rejected by man in every possible way, God continues to take care of mankind. He allows all people to make use of His creation, and continues to provide for their needs, “that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45). Even through the Lord Jesus Christ, God has not provided for just a particular race or people, but for the entire mankind, the way for receiving forgiveness of sins, salvation, reconciliation with God, and the right to spend eternity with God as His children.

This is a very important characteristic of all of God’s works and gifts, that every work of God, every blessing, every plan, every power given by Him, is never ever for any particular person’s personal use and benefit. Rather, it is always for the benefit and growth of others, through that person; it is for providing the recipient of the gift the opportunity to tell the people about God, to attract them towards Him, so that they too may be saved. This is a very important fundamental principle related to God’s giving His power and gifts to men, which should never be overlooked or ignored; else, we will fall into many wrong doctrines and false teachings. Unfortunately, Satan has trapped many people into his wrong doctrines and teachings about the gifts of the Holy Spirit; and these wrong doctrines and false teachings are being preached and spread with impunity.

Satan’s Deceptive Devices:

If you pay some attention and consider it with a little bit of seriousness, it immediately becomes apparent that gifts of the Holy Spirit that these people who preach and teach wrong things about the Holy Spirit talk about and emphasize that people should strive to receive, have one thing in common. All of the gifts they emphatically preach and talk about are the ones which they can use for themselves, can use to gain status and honour in the congregation and society, can gain personal benefits through them; and they all can serve to pump up a person’s ego. The sad thing is that these gifts have been given by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the people and congregation, as is written about them in God’s Word. But the way these gifts are presented and used by these people, that destroys the purpose and utility of these gifts.

 

This is a devious trick of Satan to spread and seat his falsehood into the hearts and minds of people by presenting it as an act of godliness and spirituality. So many people have rendered ineffective and vain their gifts, by having fallen prey to Satan’s devices; they have become fruitless and useless for God, and have lost their eternal benefits. How terrible and heart-breaking will be the day for them when as in Matthew 7:23, they will get to hear from the Lord Jesus Christ, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” If they had taken God’s Word seriously, if they had learnt not man-made teachings and doctrines but what God has said in His Word, if they had carefully examined and evaluated all teachings and doctrines carefully from God’s word before accepting any of them, then they would never have fallen prey to Satan’s devices. God the Holy Spirit would have taught them the eternal truths of God’s Word; shown, told, and explained the right teachings and doctrines to them. But they chose to pay attention to the teachings and practices of men, and ended up wasting away their ministry and loosing their eternal blessings.

If you are a Christian Believer, then please closely examine and evaluate your beliefs, understanding, concepts, and notions about the Holy Spirit, His working, and His gifts, from the Word of God and ensure that you are not into any man-made doctrines and contrived teachings, but are firmly established in the true, tried and tested teachings and doctrines of the Bible. Make the necessary corrections while you have the time and opportunity, else it could be very harmful and painful for your eternity. Never forget what the Lord said in Matthew 7:23 and the parable of the ten virgins - the five foolish ones could never retrieve what they lost because of their carelessness and not doing the right thing while they had the time; they were never accepted in.

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, a child of God, entitled to a place in heaven, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start learning, understanding, and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
