परमेश्वर की क्षमा और न्याय – 13
क्षमा किए और भुलाए गए पापों का स्मरण – 5
इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई छठी आरंभिक बात, “अन्तिम न्याय” पर हमारे इस अध्ययन में, हमने देखा है कि यह न्याय मसीही विश्वासियों का होगा, उनके स्वर्गीय प्रतिफलों और परिणामों को निर्धारित करने और दिए जाने के लिए। हम यह देख चुके हैं कि प्रभु यीशु के द्वारा किए जाने वाले इस न्याय के समय, विश्वासियों द्वारा की गई प्रत्येक बात, क्यों और कैसे आँकलन किए जाने के लिए प्रकट की जाएगी, वे पाप भी जिन्हें परमेश्वर क्षमा करके भुला चुका है। अब हमने एक संबंधित प्रश्न को देखना आरम्भ किया है कि यदि सब कुछ को प्रकट होना ही है, तो फिर परमेश्वर को पापों को भुलाने की आवश्यकता ही क्या है? इसका उत्तर समझने के लिए, हमने प्रथम पाप के साथ मानवजाति में प्रवेश करने वाली तीन बातों को याद किया था, पहली, मृत्यु – शारीरिक और आत्मिक; दूसरी, इस पाप-स्वभाव वाली देह में रहते हुए जीवन भर दुःख, परेशानी और परिश्रम को झेलना; और तीसरी, उनके लिए जो प्रभु यीशु और कलवरी के क्रूस पर दिए गए उसके प्रायश्चित रूपी बलिदान में विश्वास करके परमेश्वर के साथ मेल-मिलाप कर लेते हैं, उनके लिए स्वर्ग में अनन्तकालीन महिमामय अद्भुत प्रतिफल और परिणाम। एक बार जब हम इन तीनों के बारे में समझ लेते हैं, तो हम परमेश्वर द्वारा पापों को क्षमा करके भुला देने को भी समझ सकेंगे। हम इन तीनों बातों कि उलटे क्रम में देखते आ रहे हैं।
हमने आरंभ किया यथा तीसरी बात, विश्वासियों को दिए जाने वाले प्रतिफलों और परिणामों के बारे में सीखने के साथ। वर्तमान में हम दूसरी बात, पाप-स्वभाव वाली इस शारीरिक देह में रहते हुए, हर किसी को, वह चाहे वास्तव में उद्धार पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी हो या न हो, जीवन भर दुःख, परेशानी और परिश्रम को झेलते रहना। और पिछले लेख से हम इस बहुत बड़े और गम्भीर विषय – मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन में दुःख उठाने की भूमिका, को एक बहुत संक्षिप्त रीति से देख रहे हैं। हमने हमारे वर्तमान अध्ययन से इस विषय के एक सम्बन्धित पक्ष को देखा था कि किस प्रकार से यह दुःख उठाना और परिश्रम एक प्रकार से, की गई गलतियों और अपराधों का उचित न्याय किए जाने के लिए, हमारे अन्दर से उठने वाली माँग को शान्त करता है और साथ ही हमें इसके लिए तैयार होने में सहायता करता है कि हम शरीर की अभिलाषाओं के अनुसार नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर की महिमा के लिए जीवन जीएँ। पिछले लेख में हम यहाँ पर आकर रुके थे, कि मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन में दुःख होने का केवल यही एक कारण नहीं है। आज हम मसीही विश्वासियों के जीवनों में दुःख के एक अन्य कारण को भी, परमेश्वर के वचन के कुछ उदाहरणों के द्वारा देखेंगे।
कुछ मसीही विश्वासियों और परमेश्वर के लोगों के द्वारा जीवन में दुःख उठाने का एक और महत्वपूर्ण कारण होता है, उनके लिए यह परमेश्वर की योजना होना। परमेश्वर उन्हें उदाहरण बनाकर, मसीही जीवन और ज़िम्मेदारियों के निर्वाह के बारे में औरों को, हमें, कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें और शिक्षाएँ देता है। इसका सर्वोत्तम उदाहरण है प्रभु यीशु मसीह, जिसने समस्त मानवजाति के लिए, परमेश्वर की इच्छा में होकर अपमान, दुःख और मृत्यु को सहा “परमेश्वर पिता, और हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह की ओर से तुम्हें अनुग्रह और शान्ति मिलती रहे। उसी ने अपने आप को हमारे पापों के लिये दे दिया, ताकि हमारे परमेश्वर और पिता की इच्छा के अनुसार हमें इस वर्तमान बुरे संसार से छुड़ाए” (गलतियों 1:3-4; साथ ही इब्रानियों 10:5-9 भी देखिए)। लेकिन हम साधारण नश्वर मनुष्यों में से भी हम कुछ उदाहरण देख सकते हैं – यूहन्ना 9 अध्याय में, हम एक जन्म के अंधे व्यक्ति के बारे में देखते हैं, जिसे प्रभु ने उसके वयस्क होने पर चँगा किया था। प्रभु के शिष्यों को लगा कि उसका अन्धापन पापों के कारण है, किन्तु प्रभु ने कहा कि वह परमेश्वर के काम प्रकट करने के लिए था (यूहन्ना 9:1-3)। इस व्यक्ति का जन्म से अन्धा होना परमेश्वर की महिमा के लिए, और उसके जीवन से होकर परमेश्वर के द्वारा औरों के जीवनों में कुछ उद्देश्य पूरे करने के लिए था। एक अन्य उदाहरण पौलुस प्रेरित का है; दमिश्क के मार्ग पर प्रभु यीशु मसीह के साथ हुए उसके साक्षात्कार के बाद पौलुस अन्धा हो गया था। जब परमेश्वर ने हनन्याह को पौलुस से जाकर मिलने और उसे परमेश्वर का सन्देश देने के लिए कहा, तब पौलुस के कुख्यात होने के कारण, हनन्याह जाने से संकोच करने लगा। लेकिन परमेश्वर ने उसे आश्वस्त किया कि पौलुस उसका चुना हुआ पात्र है, और साथ में पौलुस की सेवकाई के लिए यह भी कहा कि “और मैं उसे बताऊंगा, कि मेरे नाम के लिये उसे कैसा-कैसा दुख उठाना पड़ेगा” (प्रेरित 9:16)।
पुराने नियम में भी, परमेश्वर के लोगों के परमेश्वर की इच्छा में, उसकी महिमा के लिए दुःख उठाने के उदाहरण हैं। यिर्मयाह नबी को लड़कपन में ही सेवकाई के लिए नियुक्त कर दिया गया था (यिर्मयाह 1:4-7); परमेश्वर ने यिर्मयाह को आश्वस्त किया कि वह निरन्तर उसके साथ बना रहेगा और उसकी सहायता करता रहेगा। लेकिन परमेश्वर ने साथ ही यह भी कहा कि जिनके मध्य में उसे सेवकाई करनी है, वे उससे लड़ते ही रहेंगे, लेकिन कभी उस पर प्रबल नहीं होने पाएँगे “वे तुझ से लड़ेंगे तो सही, परन्तु तुझ पर प्रबल न होंगे, क्योंकि बचाने के लिये मैं तेरे साथ हूँ, यहोवा की यही वाणी है” (यिर्मयाह 1:19)। और यिर्मयाह अपनी पूरी सेवकाई में इस्राएलियों के विरोध का सामना करता रहा और उनके साथ संघर्ष ही करता रहा। एक भक्त जन के द्वारा दुःख उठाने का एक जाना-माना उदाहरण है अय्यूब, लेकिन जैसा उसके विषय याकूब 5:11 (IBP हिन्दी बाइबल) में लिखा है “देखो, धैर्य रखने वालों को हम धन्य समझते हैं। तुमने अय्यूब के धैर्य के विषय में तो सुना ही है, और प्रभु के व्यवहार के परिणाम को देखा है कि प्रभु अत्यन्त करुणामय और दयालु है,” अय्यूब के लिए परमेश्वर के व्यवहार का एक उद्देश्य था – उन दुःखों के द्वारा परमेश्वर उसे, उसकी धार्मिकता के बावजूद उसकी वास्तविक पापमय स्थिति का एहसास करने तथा पश्चाताप करने तक ले कर आया (अय्यूब 40:3-5; 42:4-6), जिस से अय्यूब अपने धार्मिकता के कार्यों के आधार पर नहीं परन्तु पापों के लिए पश्चाताप तथा परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह के द्वारा बचाया जाए। उसके बाद परमेश्वर ने उसे बहुतायत से, उसके द्वारा उठाई गई हानि से भी अधिक आशीषित किया (अय्यूब 42:11-15)।
इसलिए परमेश्वर के लोगों का दुःख उठाना केवल पापों के कारण ही नहीं होता है, वरन परमेश्वर की योजना और उद्देश्यों को पूरा करने के लिए भी होता है। अगले लेख में हम दुःख उठाने के एक और पक्ष को देखेंगे, अर्थात, आशीष और मार्गदर्शन पाना।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

God’s Forgiveness and Justice – 13
Remembrance of Sin Forgiven and Forgotten - 5
In our study on “Eternal Judgment,” the sixth elementary principle given in Hebrews 6:1-2, we have seen that this judgment will be of the Christian Believers, to ascertain and give them their eternal rewards and consequences, for the Christian lives they have lived since their salvation, their being Born-Again. We have seen how and why, at the time of this judgment by the Lord Jesus, everything that the Believers have done, will be laid open and evaluated, even the sins that God has forgiven and forgotten. We are now considering a related question, that if everything has to be brought up and laid open, then why does God have to forget the forgiven sins? To answer this, we have re-capitulated the three things that happened for mankind, with the entry of sin – firstly, death – physical and spiritual; secondly, lifelong pain, problems and labor; and thirdly, promise of eternal heavenly and glorious rewards to those who return to the Lord God and are reconciled with Him through faith in the Lord Jesus, and His atoning sacrifice made on the Cross of Calvary. Once we understand about these three, then we can understand God’s forgiving and forgetting sins.
We have been considering these three things in the reverse order, and have studied about the third thing, the rewards and consequences that will be given to the Believers. Presently we are considering the second thing – lifelong pain and suffering in the physical bodies having a sin nature, for everyone, even the truly Born-Again Christian Believers; and the sufferings will remain with everyone as long as they are in this physical body with a sin-nature. In the last article we have seen one aspect of this very vast and profound topic – suffering in the life of Christians; which we are considering very briefly for our current study. We have seen how this suffering in a way serves to meet the demands of our sense of justice for the wrongs committed, and also serves to prepare us to learn to live our lives not for obeying the lusts of the flesh, but for the glory of God. In the last article we had stopped at the point that this is not the only reason for the Christian Believer’s suffering in this world. Today we will touch upon another aspect of suffering in a Christian Believer’s life, through some examples from God’s Word.
Another important reason for some people to be suffering in their lives is God’s plans for them, to use their lives as an example, to bring important lessons about our Christian life and responsibilities for the others, to us. There can be no better example of this than our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, who suffered humiliation and death for all of mankind in the will of God; “Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father” (Galatians 1:3-4; also see Hebrews 10:5-9). But even amongst the common mortal men, we can consider some other examples – from John chapter 9, we learn about a man born blind, and healed by the Lord Jesus as an adult. The disciples of the Lord thought that this was because of sin; but the Lord Jesus corrected them and said, it was so that God’s works should be revealed in him (John 9:1-3). This man’s blindness since birth was for the glory of God and for God to accomplish certain purposes through him, in the life of others. Another example is the Apostle Paul; after his encounter with the Lord Jesus on the road to Damascus, Paul had become blind. When God told Ananias to go and meet Paul and convey God’s message to him, Ananias, because of Paul’s adverse reputation, was reluctant to go. But God assured him that Paul was His chosen vessel for spreading the gospel, also saying about Paul’s ministry, “For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake” (Acts 9:16).
Even in the Old Testament we have similar examples of suffering in God’s will, for God’s glory. The prophet Jeremiah was ordained to be the Lord’s prophet as a youth (Jeremiah 1:4-7); God assured Jeremiah His constant presence and support in his ministry. But God also told him that those amongst whom he will minister for God, they will keep fighting against him, but never prevail “They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you," says the Lord, "to deliver you"” (Jeremiah 1:19); and throughout his ministry he kept on facing opposition and struggling with the Israelites. Job is a very well-known example of sufferings experienced by a godly person, but as it says in James 5:11 “Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord--that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful,” God had a purpose – through those sufferings God brought Job to the realization of his actual sinful condition (Job 40:3-5; 42:4-6) despite his religious and righteous living, and brought him to repentance; to Job’s being saved by repentance from sins and the grace of God and not by his works of righteousness; and then blessed him abundantly over and above his losses (Job 42:11-15).
So, God’s people suffering is not only because of sin, but also because God has a reason for it, and it helps accomplish His purposes. In the next article we will consider another aspect of sufferings, i.e., blessings and guidance because of suffering.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
