जीवन, साहित्य, कला, और सभ्यताओं पर प्रभाव में अनुपम भाग - 1 

पिछले तीन लेखों में हमने बाइबल की पुस्तकों के लिखे जाने, संकलित किए जाने और उन के छपने, प्रकाशित और वितरित होने के इतिहास; पिछले 2000 वर्षों से संसार भर में निरन्तर होते चले आ रहे बाइबल के घोर विरोध और उसे नष्ट करने के प्रयासों के बावजूद, यह हमेशा ही संसार के इतिहास की सर्वाधिक प्रकाशित और वितरित होने वाली पुस्तक बनी रही है, जिसके आँकड़े अरबों में हैं; और आज बाइबल या उसके अंश संसार के केवल 0.445% लोगों के पास ही उन की स्थानीय भाषा में उपलब्ध नहीं हैं। हमने यह भी देखा था कि पुरातत्व खोजों के द्वारा बाइबल के सटीक और सही होने, तथा उसके लेखों में कोई परिवर्तन या सम्पादन न किये जाने, आदि बातें प्रमाणित हो चुकी हैं। हमने समझा था कि बाइबल से सम्बन्धित इन विवरणों और तथ्यों को किसी भी मानवीय समझ, तर्क, अथवा ज्ञान से समझा पाना असम्भव है। न ही उन के आरम्भ के समय से लेकर आज तक बाइबल और मसीही विश्वास और बाइबल के विरुद्ध संसार भर में ज़ारी शासनों के द्वारा आधिकारिक विरोध, बहिष्कार, दमन, भ्रष्ट किए जाने आदि प्रयासों के बावजूद उन के न केवल बचे रहने परन्तु सारे संसार में बढ़ते और फैलते चले जाने के तथ्यों को किसी भी मानवीय समझ, तर्क, अथवा ज्ञान से समझा पाना सम्भव है। आज से हम इसी कड़ी के एक और विषय पर विचार आरम्भ करेंगे कि इतने घोर विरोध के बावजूद, जैसा स्थाई और गम्भीर प्रभाव बाइबल मानवीय जीवन, साहित्य, कला, और सभ्यताओं पर डालने पाई है, वैसा और उतना व्यापक प्रभाव, संसार के इतिहास में कभी कोई अन्य पुस्तक नहीं डालने पाई है।  

बाइबल के द्वारा जिस प्रकार से लोगों के जीवन परिवर्तित हुए और हो रहे हैं, वह विलक्षण है; और यह सिलसिला सारे संसार भर में लगभग दो हज़ार वर्ष से चलता चला आ रहा है। संसार भर में अनगिनत लोग हैं, जिन्होंने बाइबल को पढ़ा, परमेश्वर को पहचाना, और उसे अपना जीवन समर्पित कर दिया। यह परिवर्तन संसार के हर स्थान, हर धर्म, हर विचारधारा के लोगों में देखा जाता है, नास्तिकों में भी। बाइबल के वचन लोगों को उनके पापों के लिए कायल करते हैं, और उन्हें उन पापों के स्थाई और वास्तविक समाधान प्राप्त करने के लिये बेचैन करते हैं। जो संवेदनशील होकर अपने विवेक की आवाज़ को सुनते हैं, अपने कायल होने के अनुसार, विचार-विमर्श करते हैं, सच्चाई को पहचानने का प्रयास करते हैं, परमेश्वर का वचन उनसे बात करता है, उन्हें सही मार्ग दिखाता है, और उन्हें उनके पापों के लिए पश्चाताप में लेकर आता है। एक बार प्रभु यीशु की शिक्षाओं के अर्थ को समझने को लेकर प्रभु के साथ रहने वाले कुछ लोग उसे छोड़कर चले गए, तब प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अपने शिष्यों से पूछा कि क्या वे भी उनकी बातें सुनकर उन्हें छोड़ कर जाना चाहते हैं? तब प्रभु यीशु मसीह के एक शिष्य, पतरस ने उत्तर दिया, "... हे प्रभु हम किस के पास जाएँ? अनन्त जीवन की बातें तो तेरे ही पास हैं" (यूहन्ना 6:66-69)। प्रभु यीशु के इसी शिष्य पतरस द्वारा यरूशलेम में धार्मिक पर्व मनाने के लिए एकत्रित हुए धर्मी यहूदियों के मध्य किए गए प्रचार से, और लिखा है: "तब सुनने वालों के हृदय छिद गए, और वे पतरस और शेष प्रेरितों से पूछने लगे, कि हे भाइयों, हम क्या करें? पतरस ने उन से कहा, मन फिराओ, और तुम में से हर एक अपने अपने पापों की क्षमा के लिये यीशु मसीह के नाम से बपतिस्मा ले; तो तुम पवित्र आत्मा का दान पाओगे" (प्रेरितों 2:37-38), और परमेश्वर के वचन के उस एक प्रचार परिणामस्वरूप "सो जिन्होंने उसका वचन ग्रहण किया उन्होंने बपतिस्मा लिया; और उसी दिन तीन हजार मनुष्यों के लगभग उन में मिल गए" (प्रेरितों 2:41)। और तब से लेकर आज दिन तक, तब यरूशलेम से लेकर आज संसार के हर स्थान में, यह सिलसिला परमेश्वर के वचन के सभी विरोध, दमन, और भ्रष्ट करने के प्रयासों के बावजूद, अविरल, नियमित चलता चला आ रहा है।

प्रतिदिन, प्रतिपल, संसार भर में लोगों के जीवन बदले जा रहे हैं। संसार के किसी भी भाग में, कभी भी, मसीही विश्वास और बाइबल के घोर विरोध और कट्टर विरोधियों की कभी कमी नहीं रही है; परन्तु जिन्होंने परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के सत्य को पहचाना, वो फिर उसके लिए अपने घर-बार, ज़मीन-जायदाद तथा नौकरी-व्यवसाय छोड़ने, यहाँ तक कि प्राणों की भी आहुति देने के लिए तैयार हो गए, किन्तु बाइबल द्वारा उनके जीवनों में आए परिवर्तन से फिर मुंह नहीं मोड़ा। जो बाइबल के आज्ञाकारी हो गए, उनके जीवन की दिशा और प्राथमिकताएं बदल गईं; जिन बुरी आदतों और व्यवहारों को वो छोड़ नहीं पा रहे थे, या जो बातें पहले उन्हें बुरी लगती भी नहीं थीं, वे बाइबल की आज्ञाकारिता में आ जाने के बाद उनके जीवनों से जाती रहीं। उन्हें बहुधा अपने इस विश्वास और निर्णय की एक बहुत बड़ी कीमत चुकानी पड़ी, समाज और परिवार का बहुत विरोध सहन करना पड़ा, किन्तु सत्य की पहचान हो जाने के बाद, फिर वे उस सत्य पर बने ही रहे, सब कुछ सहते रहे, बाइबल की शिक्षाओं को निभाते रहे, और परमेश्वर की शांति तथा आशीषों का अनुभव करने वाले, तथा औरों को उसके बारे में बताने वाले बन गए। 

संसार भर के साहित्य और कला पर बाइबल की बातों, घटनाओं, शिक्षाओं, और पात्रों ने बहुत गहरी छाप छोड़ी है। बाइबल से संबंधित बातों को आधार बनाकर, संसार भर में अनगिनत पुस्तकें, लेख, कहानियाँ, उपन्यास, गीत, कविताएं, नाटक आदि लिखे गए हैं, और लिखे जा रहे हैं; और उतने किसी भी अन्य पुस्तक के द्वारा प्रेरित होकर कभी भी नहीं रचे या लिखे गए हैं। साहित्य में अनेकों मुहावरे बाइबल की शिक्षाओं और बातों से निकले हैं। कला के क्षेत्र में भी जितनी कलाकृतियाँ बाइबल की बातों के आधार पर बनाई गई हैं, उतनी संसार की किसी भी अन्य पुस्तक की बातों के आधार पर नहीं बनी हैं - वे चाहे शिल्प कला और मूर्तियाँ हों, विभिन्न प्रकार के चित्र हों, या संगीत कला में स्तुति गीत और भजन आदि हों। धर्म ग्रन्थों से इस प्रकार की प्रेरणा पाई हुई कृतियाँ संसार के अन्य हर धर्म और विश्वास और स्थान में भी पाई जाती हैं, किन्तु वे अधिकांशतः किसी एक विशेष स्थान या क्षेत्र, और भाषा, संस्कृति आदि तक ही सीमित रहती हैं। किन्तु जितनी संख्या और विविधता में बाइबल की प्रेरणा से संसार भर में हर प्रकार के साहित्य और कला पर प्रभाव निरंतर चलता चला आ रहा है, वह अभूतपूर्व है, अनुपम है, विलक्षण है; उसका कोई सानी नहीं है, उसकी गणना कर पाना असम्भव है।

अगले लेख में हम इसी विषय को ज़ारी रखेंगे, तथा कुछ अन्य सम्बन्धित महत्वपूर्ण बातों को देखेंगे। बाइबल के इन अनोखे प्रभावों का आधार पापी मनुष्यों के प्रति परमेश्वर का प्रेम, सभी मनुष्यों को उनके पापों से बचाकर अनन्त स्वर्गीय जीवन देने की गहरी लालसा, और इसे कार्यान्वित करने के लिये परमेश्वर प्रभु यीशु का क्रूस पर दिया गया बलिदान और मृतकों में से उनका पुनरुत्थान है (यूहन्ना 3:16)। बाइबल सारे संसार के सभी मनुष्यों के लिये, परमेश्वर का प्रेम सन्देश है, जो उन्हें चिताता है कि एक दिन जगत का न्याय होना अवश्यंभावी है; और तब प्रत्येक मनुष्य को अपने जीवन का हिसाब प्रभु यीशु को देना होगा, और उचित प्रतिफल लेने होंगे (प्रेरितों 17:30-31; 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10)। उस न्याय और हिसाब देने की तैयारी का स्थान और समय अब, पृथ्वी का जीवन है। जो और जैसे निर्णय प्रत्येक मनुष्य व्यक्तिगत रीति से अपने पृथ्वी के जीवन में लेगा, वही उसके अनन्त जीवन पर लागू होंगे। 

    इसलिये, यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Unique in its effects on Life, Literature, Arts, Culture and Civilizations Part - 1

In the previous three articles we have considered the history of the books of the Bible being written, compiled, printed, published, and distributed; we saw that for the past 2000 years, despite its being relentlessly targeted, severely and violently opposed, and attempts being made to destroy it, it has always remained the world’s all time best-seller, its numbers running into billions; and today only 0.445% of the world’s population does not have portions of the Bible or the Bible in their own native language. We also saw that archeological discoveries have proven the Bible to be correct and accurate; and have established that its contents have not been altered or edited to artificially create any harmony or non-contradiction between its various books. We had also seen that all these facts are humanly impossible to explain, through man’s logic and understanding. Similarly, it is humanly impossible to show how despite the Christian  Faith and God’s Word the Bible being officially targeted for destruction since their beginning, to date, world-wide, through being ostracized, banned, persecuted, and adulterated with false teachings and doctrines, how have they not only survived, but have continued to grow, have continued to spread at all places. Today, we will begin considering another link in this chain - that despite its severe opposition, the lasting and profound effect the Bible has had on human life, literature, arts, and civilizations, no other book in the history of the world has ever been able to do anything quite like it, ever.

The way people's lives have been, and are being changed through the Bible is astounding; and this process has been going on all over the world for the past 2000 years. There are countless people around the world who have read the Bible, came to know God, and submitted their lives to Him. This change is seen everywhere in the world, in people of every religion, every ideology, even among atheists. The words of the Bible convict people of their sins, make them uneasy about them, and make them look for an actual and permanent solution for their sins. Those who are sensitive to and listen to the voice of their conscience, deliberate upon the conviction brought by it, make sincere efforts to seek and know the truth, the Word of God speaks to them, shows them the right path, and leads them to repentance for their sins. Once, some followers of the Lord Jesus, being unable to understand some of His teachings, walked away from Him; at that time the Lord asked His disciples, if they too wanted to leave Him and go away? At that time, one the disciples, Peter, answered, “...Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:66-69). This disciple of the Lord Jesus, Peter, preached among the “devout” Jews who had gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate the feast; and as is written: "Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:37-38), and as a result of that one preaching of God's Word "Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them" (Acts 2:41). And from then onwards, to this day, from Jerusalem to every place of the world today, this has been going on continuously, and regularly, despite the oppositions, persecutions, and attempts at corruption of God’s Word.

Every day, every moment, people's lives are being changed all over the world. All over the world, at all times, there has never been a dearth of severe opposition to and committed opponents of the Bible; but those who recognized the truth of God's Word the Bible, they were then ready to give up their homes, properties, jobs, and businesses, even to sacrifice their lives for it, but not turn back on the changes brought in their lives by the Bible. Those who became obedient to the Bible, the course of their life and their priorities were radically changed. Bad habits and behaviors that they were unable to give up earlier, or things they didn't even consider to be bad earlier, went away from their lives, once they came to obey the Bible. They often had to pay a great price for this faith and decision, they had to endure a lot of opposition from society and family, but once they had recognized the truth, then they remained committed to that truth. They endured everything, persisted in obeying it, told others about it, and also became the ones to experience God's peace and blessings.

The words, events, teachings, and characters of the Bible have left a deep impression on literature and art all over the world. The number of books, articles, stories, novels, songs, poems, plays etc. that have been written about things related to the Bible, is unparalleled; no other book in the history of the world has ever inspired the volume and variety of written works, as the Bible has. Many idioms in literature are derived from Biblical teachings and sayings. Even in the field of art, the sheer number of works of art that have been made on the basis of the things of the Bible, no other book in the world has ever been able to inspire - whether it is in crafts and sculptures, or various types of paintings and pictures, or of music, songs of praise and worship, hymns of various genre, etc. Though such inspired creations are also found in every other religion and belief and place; but they are mostly limited to a particular place or region, or language, and culture etc. But the volume and variety in which the inspiration of the Bible continues to influence every type of literature and art all around the world even today is unprecedented, unique, astounding; it has no comparison, no match with any other book or scripture.

In the next article we will carry on with this topic and look at some other important and related facts. The basis of this unique effect of the Bible is God’s love for sinful man, His deep longing to save all men from their sins and give them eternal heavenly life. And, to put this into action the Lord Jesus Christ sacrificed His life on the cross and resurrected from the dead (John 3:16). The Bible is God’s love-letter to all of mankind, that cautions them about the impending end of the world and judgement; and at that time everyone will have to stand before the Lord Jesus to give an account of their lives to Him, and receive the due rewards and consequences (Acts 17:30-31; 2 Corinthians 5:10). The place and time to prepare for that judgement is now, life on this earth. Whatever decisions one takes now in this earthly life, they will remain applicable in their eternal lives.

Therefore, if you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि परमेश्वर ऐसे आराधकों को ढूँढ़ता है जो आत्मा और सच्चाई से उसकी आराधना करने वाले हों, अर्थात, जो उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित और आज्ञाकारी हों। इससे पहले हम देख चुके हैं कि परमेश्वर की यह आज्ञा है कि जब लोग उसके समक्ष आएँ, तो छूछे हाथ न आएँ (निर्गमन 34:20; व्यवस्थाविवरण 16:16)। लोग जब प्रार्थना में भी परमेश्वर के समक्ष आएँ, तो यह धन्यवाद के साथ होना चाहिए (फिलिप्पियों 4:6-7), तथा लोगों को प्रार्थनाओं के उत्तर मिलने के बाद भी उन्हें उस बात के लिये उसका धन्यवादी होना चाहिए (भजन 50:15)। यह एक सामान्य शिष्टाचार की बात है कि जब हम किसी के पास जाते हैं तो उसके लिए कुछ भेंट या उपहार भी ले जाते हैं, जैसे कि कुछ मिठाई या फल, या फूलों का गुलदस्ता, आदि - यह करना उस व्यक्ति को न केवल आदर देने का एक तरीका है, बल्कि उसके प्रति हमारे प्रेम और आदर की भी अभिव्यक्ति है। हमारे द्वारा ले जाई गई भेंट या उपहार की गुणवत्ता और कीमत न केवल उस व्यक्ति के साथ हमारे संबंधों की घनिष्ठता का, वरन उस व्यक्ति के अपने स्तर या ओहदे का भी सूचक होता है। इसी प्रकार से परमेश्वर चाहता है कि उसके लोग उसके पास उसे उसके योग्य आदर को देते हुए आएँ (भजन 29:2; भजन 96:8; भजन 100:4)।

    ऐसा नहीं है कि यह परमेश्वर के अहं की बात है, जिसके कारण वह आराधना करने की आज्ञा दे रहा है; बल्कि, वह तो हमें एक ऐसी जीवन-शैली में ले कर जा रहा है जिस में हम शैतान और उसकी युक्तियों से सुरक्षित बने रहेंगे। परमेश्वर चाहता है कि आराधना का जो सामर्थी हथियार उसने हमारे हाथों में सौंपा हैं उसे हम प्रभावी रीति से शैतान के विरुद्ध उपयोग करने वाले बनें। हम पहले देख चुके हैं कि आराधना का सर्वोच्च स्वरूप, परमेश्वर का गुणानुवाद या गुणगान करना है, जिस में हम परमेश्वर के बारे में, उसकी पवित्रता, उसकी पूर्ण सामर्थ्य और योग्यताएँ, उसके गुणों और चरित्र, उसके बच्चों के जीवनों में उसके द्वारा किए गए कार्यों, आदि का वर्णन करते हैं और परमेश्वर की स्तुति करते समय भी हम अपने अनुभवों के आधार पर उसके द्वारा किए गए कार्यों या प्रदान की गई बातों और वस्तुओं के बारे में बताते हैं, गवाही देते हैं। आराधना के इन दोनों स्वरूपों में आराधना करने वाला परमेश्वर के जितना अधिक निकट होगा, जितना घनिष्ठ होकर उसे जानता होगा, जितनी अधिक गहराई से उसने परमेश्वर को अनुभव किया होगा, उतना ही बेहतर वह इन दोनों प्रकार की आराधना को अर्पित करने पाएगा।

    इसे यदि पलट कर, दूसरी ओर से देखें, तो व्यक्ति परमेश्वर के जितना अधिक निकट होगा, परमेश्वर से उसका संबंध जितना आधिक घनिष्ठ होगा, वह जितना अधिक परमेश्वर पर भरोसा करके उस पर निर्भर रहने वाला होगा, जितना अधिक वह उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में होकर परमेश्वर की इच्छा और निर्देशों के अनुसार कार्य करेगा, व्यक्ति हर परिस्थिति में और हर बात के लिए जितना अधिक परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न करने वाला होगा, वह उतनी ही बेहतर परमेश्वर की आराधना करने पाएगा, उतनी ही बेहतर परमेश्वर की स्तुति और प्रशंसा करेगा। अर्थात, व्यक्ति की आराधना की गुणवत्ता, परमेश्वर के साथ उसके संबंधों का, परमेश्वर के साथ उसकी घनिष्ठता का, उसके द्वारा परमेश्वर को जानने का, परमेश्वर के प्रति उसकी आज्ञाकारिता का, और उसका परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न करने वाला होने के स्तर, आदि का सूचक है। इसलिए प्रकट तात्पर्य यह है कि जब परमेश्वर यह आज्ञा दे रहा है कि लोग आत्मा और सच्चाई में होकर उसकी आराधना करें, और जब उसके पास प्रार्थना लेकर भी आएँ तो कम से कम धन्यवाद के साथ प्रार्थना करें, तो वह जो चाह रहा है, उसकी जो लालसा है, वह है कि उसके लोग उसकी निकटता में और भी अधिक बढ़ते जाएँ, उसके बार में और अधिक सीखने वाले बनें, उसे और अच्छे से जानने लगें - और यह सभी उनकी आराधना के स्तर और गुणवत्ता के द्वारा दिखाई देगा, प्रमाणित होगा।

    व्यक्ति जितना अधिक परमेश्वर के निकट होगा, जितना अधिक परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखते हुए उसका आज्ञाकारी बना रहेगा, उतना ही अधिक वह शैतान और उसकी चालाकियों और युक्तियों से सुरक्षित बना रहेगा, तथा न शैतान और न ही उसके सेवक ऐसे व्यक्ति को बहकाने और पथभ्रष्ट करने पाएँगे। इसलिए, परमेश्वर द्वारा यह आज्ञा देना कि कोई भी उसके समक्ष छूछे हाथ न आए, बल्कि हमेशा ही उसे अर्पित करने के लिए कुछ लेकर आए; परमेश्वर द्वारा यह आज्ञा देना कि लोग उसके योग्य आदर के साथ उसके पास आएँ; उसका इस बात पर दृढ़ होना कि उनकी प्रार्थनाएँ भी धन्यवाद के साथ कही जाएँ, आदि, इन सभी बातों के द्वारा परमेश्वर यह सुनिश्चित करना चाह रहा है कि उसके लोग शैतान से कुछ-न-कुछ सुरक्षा बनाकर रखें, शैतान के हमलों के लिए खुले और दुर्बल न हों। परमेश्वर की इच्छा तो यह है कि हम पूरी तरह से सुरक्षित, शैतान के हमलों और युक्तियों से पूर्णतः बचे हुए हों, इसीलिए वह चाहता है कि उसके लोग “प्रोसक्यूनिटीस”, अर्थात आत्मा और सच्चाई से उसकी आराधना करने वाले बनें, परमेश्वर के समक्ष “प्रोसक्यूनियोस” करने वाले, अर्थात उसके प्रति पूर्णतः समर्पित और आज्ञाकारी जीवन जीने वाले होने के द्वारा। जो लोग “प्रोसक्यूनियोस” करने के द्वारा परमेश्वर के “प्रोसक्यूनिटीस” बनेंगे उन्हें परमेश्वर की पूर्ण सुरक्षा भी प्राप्त रहेगी और वे एक सामर्थी एवं जयवंत जीवन जीने वाले भी हो जाएँगे, वैसा जीवन जिसकी बारे में प्रभु यीशु ने यूहन्ना 10:10 में कहा है। परमेश्वर तो हमें एक सामर्थी, जयवन्त, बहुतायत का जीवन देना चाहता है; किन्तु उसे प्राप्त करने के लिए जो आवश्यक है, क्या हम उसे करने और फिर उस जीवन को प्राप्त कर के उसके अनुसार जीवन व्यतीत करने के लिए तैयार हैं?

    यदि हम परमेश्वर के परिवार का भाग बन जाएँगे, तो स्वतः ही हम परमेश्वर के साथ एक निकट और भरोसेमन्द सम्बन्ध में आ जाएँगे। और तब हम परमेश्वर को, उसके गुणों, उसके चरित्र, उसकी सभी बातों को और बेहतर जानने पाएँगे। इसलिये, हम जितना अधिक परमेश्वर को जानेंगे, हम जितना उसके निकट होंगे, उतनी ही बेहतर हमारी आराधना और शैतान से हमारी सुरक्षा हो जाएगी। और परमेश्वर के परिवार का भाग बनने का एकमात्र उपाय है, स्वेच्छा से प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास लाना (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), मानव जाति के उद्धार के लिये किये गये उसके बलिदानी कार्य को स्वीकार करके, स्वयं को उसे समर्पित कर देना, और उसका आज्ञाकारी शिष्य बन जाना।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

    We have seen in the previous article that God is looking for those who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth, i.e., those who will be fully submitted and obedient to Him. Earlier, we had seen that God commands that when His people approach Him, it should not be with empty hands (Exodus 34:20; Deuteronomy 16:16). Even when people come to God in prayer, it should be with thankfulness (Philippians 4:6-7), and people should also remember to thank Him for their answered prayers (Psalm 50:15). It is common etiquette, that when we visit someone, we go with some gift, e.g., sweets, or fruits, or even a bouquet of flowers – this not only is a way of according honor to that person, it is also an expression of our love and regards for him. The quality and value of the gift we take not only reflects the closeness of our association with that person, but also the stature of the person. Similarly, God wants His children, His people to come to Him according to Him His due honor (Psalm 29:2; Psalm 96:8; Psalm 100:4).

    It is not that God is on an “ego-trip” in commanding us to worship Him; rather, He is guiding us into a way of life that will keep us safe from Satan and his devices. He wants us to learn to effectively use the powerful weapon of worship that He has placed in our hands, against Satan. We have seen earlier that the highest form of worship, Exaltation of God is describing Him, His Holiness, His absolute powers and abilities, His characteristics and qualities, His works in the lives of His children, etc. and in Praising God we again speak or witness about His works that we have experienced, or praise Him for the things we have received from Him. For both of these expressions of worship, the closer the worshipper is to God, the more intimately he knows God, and the more deeply he has experienced God, the better will he be able to worship God through either of these forms.

    If you look at it the other way around, the closer a person is to God, the more intimate is his relationship with God, the more he relies upon God, trusts Him, and does everything according to God’s will and directions, the more a person is concerned about being obedient to God and being a “God-Pleaser” in and for all things, the better will he be able to to worship God, to Praise and Exalt God. So, the quality of one’s worship, is an indicator of one’s relationship with God, about how close he is with God, how well he knows God, how much he strives to please God, and how obedient he is to God. Therefore, the evident implication is that when God commands that people worship Him in Spirit and truth, accord Him His due honor when they approach Him, at the very least have an attitude of thankfulness even when approaching Him in prayer, what He is actually asking for, desiring, is that His people draw closer to Him, learn about Him even more, know Him better – and this will be reflected in and evidenced by the worship they offer.

    The closer a person is to God, and the more the person trusts God and obeys Him, the safer will he be from Satan and his ploys, his devices and from being misled into harm by Satan or his minions. So, God’s commanding that none come before Him empty handed, but always have something to offer to Him; by commanding that people should approach Him through giving Him His due honor according to His status; by insisting that even for prayers people should at the least have an attitude of thankfulness, God is ensuring that His people get into some protection or the other from Satan, and not remain totally vulnerable to satanic attacks. God’s desire is that we be fully protected, be totally safe from Satan’s attacks and devices, that is why His desire is that His people be the “proskunetes” i.e., those who worship Him in Spirit and truth; by being those who “proskuneos” before Him i.e., totally submit and surrender themselves into His hands and always for all things be fully obedient to Him. The “proskunetes”, by virtue of their “proskuneos”, will have God’s full protection and enjoy an overcoming and victorious life, the kind of life the Lord Jesus spoke of in John 10:10. God wants to give us an abundant, overcoming, victorious life; but are we willing to do what is necessary to receive it, and then to live it out?

    If we become a part of God’s family, then we will automatically come into an intimate and reliable relationship with Him. And then, we will know God, His attributes, His characteristics, His character, and everything else about Him, even better. Therefore, the more intimate we are with God, the better will be out worship and our protection against Satan. And, the one and only way to become a part of God’s family is to voluntarily come to faith in the Lord Jesus (John 1:12-13), accept His sacrificial work oफ salvation done for all of mankind, and submit oneself to the Lord, become His obedient disciple.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

सही सुसमाचार के गुण (2)

        यह एक जानी-पहचानी बात और रणनीति है कि नकली उत्पाद को बनाने वाले सभी लोग उस नकली को, उसके असली मूल उत्पाद के समान ही दिखने वाला बनाते हैं, साथ ही उस नकली के असली के समान ही कार्य करने और प्रभावी होने की बात करते हैं। अर्थात उनके उस नकली उत्पाद में वही स्वभाव और प्रभाव होने के दावे करते हैं जो असली में होते हैं। इसलिए, यही दो गुण या “स्वभाव”, और उसके “प्रभाव” हमें असली और नकली की पहचान करवाते हैं। यही असली और नकली सुसमाचार के लिए भी सही है। आज हम असली सुसमाचार के गुणों, अर्थात उसके स्वभाव के बारे में गलातियों की पत्री से देखेंगे।

 असली सुसमाचार के 7 गुण या स्वभाव:

        1. पौलुस इस पत्री का आरंभ अपनी सेवकाई और बुलाहट से आरंभ करता है। वह गलातीयों 1:1 में अपने पाठकों को यह स्पष्ट कर देता है कि उसकी नियुक्ति परमेश्वर के द्वारा है, न कि मनुष्यों की ओर से। क्योंकि यह उसके मसीही जीवन का दृढ़ सत्य था, जिस के विषय उसने कभी किसी प्रकार का कोई भी समझौता नहीं किया, इसीलिए उसकी वफादारी भी केवल और केवल प्रभु परमेश्वर के ही प्रति थी, अन्य किसी के प्रति नहीं। सच्चे सुसमाचार के प्रचारक का पहला गुण है कि वह न केवल परमेश्वर की ओर से अपनी सेवकाई के लिए नियुक्त होने का दावा भी करेगा, वरन उस दावे को जी कर के भी दिखाएगा। सही सुसमाचार का प्रचार करने वाले प्रचारक के व्यवहारिक जीवन में परमेश्वर के प्रति वफादारी और जवाबदेही, तथा सुसमाचार के द्वारा सांसारिकता की बातों, संसार से प्रशंसा, बड़ाई, यश, सांसारिक धन-सम्पत्ति, आदि कमाने से अलगाव भी दिखाई देगा।

        2. गलातियों 1:2 से प्रकट है कि सही सुसमाचार के प्रचारकों में बड़े-छोटे की भावना नहीं होगी; वह अपने सभी सहकर्मियों को, प्रभु की सेवकाई में लगे लोगों को समान आदर के साथ रखता है, सभी के साथ मेल-मिलाप रखते हुए, उन्हें भी अपनी सेवकाई का महत्वपूर्ण भाग बताता है, केवल अपने आप को ही बड़ा या मुख्य दिखाने के प्रयास नहीं करता है।

        3. गलातियों 1:3 में पौलुस सही सुसमाचार का तीसरा गुण या स्वभाव लिखता है - वास्तविक सुसमाचार प्रभु यीशु मसीह की शांति और अनुग्रह के साथ आता है। अर्थात उस संदेश और उसके पालन से अनबन, विभाजन, फूट, बैर, टकराव, आदि नहीं होते; वरन वह हमेशा प्रेम, मेल-मिलाप, क्षमा, एकता, दीनता, नम्रता आदि मसीही गुणों के साथ आता है, जबकि नकली इसके विपरीत बातों के साथ आता है।

        4. गलातीयों 1:4 में वास्तविक सुसमाचार का चौथा स्वभाव दिया गया है, वह हमारे पापों से छुटकारे के लिए प्रभु यीशु के द्वारा दिए गए बलिदान का प्रचार करता है न कि मनुष्यों के अपने किसी कार्य या कर्मों के अनुसार भला बनने और उद्धार पाने का। साथ ही वह सांसारिक बातों, धन-संपत्ति, भौतिक समृद्धि, शारीरिक चंगाइयों, आदि का नहीं, परन्तु मसीह यीशु में विश्वास के द्वारा पापों की क्षमा का ही प्रचार करने पर बल देता है, उसे ही मुख्य विषय बनाए रखता है। साथ ही वह प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जीवन से परमेश्वर के प्रति मृत्यु सहने तक आज्ञाकारी होने के लिए भी सिखाता है (इब्रानियों 12:1-4; प्रकाशितवाक्य 2:10)।

        5. गलातियों 1:5 में सही सुसमाचार के प्रचार और प्रचारक का पाँचवां गुण दिया गया है, उसके द्वारा सदा ही प्रभु यीशु मसीह की स्तुति और बड़ाई, उसी की प्रशंसा, महिमा और गुणगान का प्रचार होगा, किसी मनुष्य का नहीं।

        6. गलातियों 1:6 सचेत करता है कि कोई भी सच्चा मसीही विश्वासी अपने आप को आवश्यकता से अधिक सिद्ध या स्थिर न समझ ले, जैसा कि 1 कुरिन्थियों 10:12 में भी लिखा गया है। यहाँ ध्यान कीजिए कि, कोई अविश्वासी नहीं अपितु, गलातिया की मसीही मण्डली के लोग, प्रभु के विश्वासी जन ही “और ही सुसमाचार” में अर्थात गलत सुसमाचार में बहकाए और भरमाए गए थे। सही सुसमाचार का छठवाँ स्वभाव है कि वह सदा ही मनुष्य को उसकी दुर्बलता के बारे में, और प्रभु के सच्चे विश्वासी जन को सदा हर बात के लिए परमेश्वर पर निर्भर रहने, परमेश्वर के वचन से हर बात को जाँचते रहने, और वचन ही के अनुसार चलने के लिए कहेगा। वह कभी किसी को भी अपने आप पर, अपनी बुद्धि और युक्ति पर भरोसा रखने और अपनी समझ या संसार की सलाह, संसार को सही लगने वाली बात के अनुसार करने को नहीं कहेगा।

       7. गलातीयों 1:7 में सही सुसमाचार का सातवाँ गुण है कि उससे लोगों में डर या घबराहट नहीं आती; ऐसा करना सुसमाचार को बिगाड़ने वालों का काम है। गलत सुसमाचार वाले लोग विभिन्न प्रकार के डर-भय दिखा कर लोगों को अपनी बातों का पालन करने के लिए बाध्य करते हैं। जब कि असली सुसमाचार लोगों को परमेश्वर की संतान होने के लिए प्रेरित करता है (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), प्रभु से मिली पापों की क्षमा में भरोसा रखते हुए पापों के दंड उठाने के भय से मुक्त जीवन जीने (रोमियों 8:1-2), और आशीषित अनन्त जीवन की बात करता है (मत्ती 19:28-30; 1 कुरिन्थियों 2:9), तो फिर ऐसे सुसमाचार से किसी प्रकार की घबराहट या भय क्यों आएगा? नाहक ही भय और घबराहट उत्पन्न करना, लोगों को बाध्य करना, शिक्षाओं की जाँच-पड़ताल करने से रोकना, शैतान और उसकी बातों का गुण है, प्रभु और उसके सुसमाचार का नहीं।

        सच्चे सुसमाचार के 7 गुणों या स्वभाव को देखने के बात, हम उसके प्रभाव को अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

        यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप प्रभु परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार से संबंधित किसी गलत शिक्षाओं धारणाओं में न पड़े हों। सच्चे सुसमाचार के स्वभाव के अनुसार अपने आप को जाँचने के द्वारा यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए कि आपने सच्चे सुसमाचार पर सच्चा विश्वास किया है, और आप सच्चे पश्चाताप और समर्पण तथा सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा के द्वारा परमेश्वर के जन बने हैं। न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाली ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें, यदि सही हों, तब ही उन्हें मानें, अन्यथा अस्वीकार कर दें।

        यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

The Characteristics of the True Gospel (2)

       This is a well-known fact and strategy that every maker and seller of a spurious product tries to make his product appear as similar as he possibly can to the real or original product; and he also claims that his spurious product will be just as effective as the real one, has the same nature and effects as the original product. In other words, two things, the “nature” and the “effects” of a product provide to us the features to discern between the real and the spurious. This is also equally true for discerning between the true and the false gospel. Today, we will see about the “nature” or characteristics of the true Gospel from the letter to Galatians.

The 7 Characteristics or Nature of the True Gospel:

       1. Paul begins this letter by writing about his ministry and calling. In Galatians 1:1 he makes it clear to his readers that he has been appointed by God to this ministry, and not by any man. Because this was the firm, unchangeable truth of his Christian life, on which he never compromised in any manner, therefore his allegiance and commitment too was primarily only to the Lord God, not to any person or anyone else. The first characteristic of the preacher of the true Gospel is that he not only knows and asserts his being appointed by God to the ministry, but also practically lives out this claim in his Christian life. The life of the preacher of the true Gospel is one of faithfulness and accountability towards God not man, and of separation from the world, of staying away from using the Gospel to acquire and earn any kind of temporal gains, praise, name, fame, and worldly wealth etc. from people of the world.

       2. Galatians 1:2 makes it quite evident that amongst the preachers of the true Gospel, there is no feeling of anyone being more or less important; they give the same honor and importance to all their colleagues, who are engaged with them in preaching the Gospel. They consider all their colleagues an equally important part of their ministry and live in harmony with all of them. They do not try to project themselves as the leaders of the group or someone superior than others.

       3. Galatians 1:3 - Paul writes the third characteristic here - the true Gospel comes with the peace and grace of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Implying that living by that Gospel does not give rise to mutual differences, divisions, discords, animosity, conflicts etc.; rather it always comes with Christian virtues like love, forgiveness, unity, reconciliation, humility, meekness etc. In contrast, the false gospel is associated with things contrary to these virtues.

       4. Galatians 1:4 tells about the fourth characteristic of the true Gospel, it is centered upon and preaches the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus to deliver us from our sins. It is not about any works of any person, or of doing good and becoming good through any kind of works to be saved. Also, the true Gospel does not preach about any worldly things, gaining wealth and property of this world, acquiring temporal prosperity, getting physical healings etc. The true Gospel only emphasizes upon forgiveness of sins through faith in the Lord Jesus, and always maintains it as the preaching point. It also teaches from the life of the Lord Jesus to be obedient to and faithful towards God, even till death (Hebrews 12:1-4; Revelation 2:10).

       5. Galatians 1:5 gives the fifth characteristic of the true Gospel, about its preacher; the preacher always praises and worships, exalts, glorifies, and exemplifies the only Lord Jesus Christ, not any person.

       6. Galatians 1:6, as the sixth characteristic illustrates that no Christian Believer should ever think of himself being perfect and established in faith, as 1 Corinthians 10:12 admonishes us. Here, in this verse, take note that not any unbelievers, but the members of the Church in Galatia, the Christian Believers had been carried away into believing in a “different gospel”, i.e., a false gospel! By implication, the sixth characteristic is that the true Gospel will always keep its followers aware of their fallibility and keep exhorting them to trust and depend only upon the Lord God for everything and in all situations, to keep examining and evaluating himself by the Word of God, and to live in obedience only to the Word of God. It will never make anyone trust themselves or their wisdom and understanding, or act according to the cunning ways of the world and behave in a manner that seems to be right in the eyes of the world.

       7. Galatians 1:7 shows us the seventh characteristic of the true Gospel, that it does not trouble the people, it does produce any unnecessary fear or apprehension amongst people. Doing this is a feature of the followers of the false gospel, who create a sense of fear and apprehension in the hearts of people to coerce them to do their bidding, else face harmful consequences. The true Gospel encourages its followers to live like the children of God (John 1:12-13); to trust the forgiveness they have received from the Lord and live free of the fear of suffering the consequences of their sins (Romans 8:1-2); and leads them to live life in anticipation of a blessed eternal life (Matthew 19:28-30; 1 Corinthians 2:9), so then why would anyone be troubled by such a Gospel? To create fear and apprehension, to compel people into doing certain things, to prevent them from examining and evaluating the doctrines and teachings preached to them, etc. are Satan’s attribute, not of the Lord Jesus and His Gospel.

       After these seven characteristics, in the next article, we will look at the effects of the true Gospel. If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
