चार महीने से कुछ पहले हमने बाइबल अध्ययन की इस श्रृंखला, जिसका शीर्षक है “आशीषित एवं सफल जीवन,” और जो 1 राजाओं 2:2-4 पर आधारित है, को आरंभ किया था। उस समय इस खण्ड से संबंधित हाथ में जो नोट्स थे उनके आधार पर ऐसा लगा था, कि यह श्रृंखला कुछ ही लेखों में; संभवतः जो 8-10 से अधिक नहीं होंगे, समाप्त हो जाएगी। इस की तो कल्पना भी नहीं की थी कि यह प्रभु के हाथों में दी गई पाँच रोटियों और दो मछलियों के समान हो जाएगा। जैसे-जैसे हम आगे बढ़ते गए, परमेश्वर ने हमारी आँखों, हृदयों, और बुद्धि को अपने वचन के इतने अद्भुत और विस्मयकारी सत्यों के लिए खोला कि उन के कारण हम बहुधा अभिभूत हुए और दिल में कँपकँपी भर गई। परमेश्वर ने हमारी आँखों को कितनी ही मानवीय बुद्धि के अनुसार गढ़ी हुई बातों की वास्तविकता की ओर खोला, जिन्हें हम बाइबल के सत्य और तथ्य समझते आ रहे थे; और हमारे समान कई अन्य लोग आज भी ऐसा ही कर रहे हैं। अब तक हम मेरे हाथों में उन आरम्भिक नोट्स में लिखे हुए बिंदुओं का लगभग आधा भाग तय कर चुके हैं, और अभी भी लगभग हर लेख में परमेश्वर अपने वचन के गहरे भेद और भी प्रकट कर रहा है। आइए, और आगे बढ़ने से पहले, जो अभी तक हमने सीखा है, उसका एक संक्षिप्त पुनःअवलोकन कर लेते हैं।

राजा दाऊद, अपने देहान्त से पहले, 1 राजाओं 2:2-4 में अपने युवा पुत्र सुलैमान को निर्देश दे रहा है; सुलैमान, अभी हाल ही में, परमेश्वर की इच्छा में राजा नियुक्त हुआ है (1 इतिहास 28:5; 29:1)। दाऊद सुलैमान को निर्देश दे रहा है कि यद्यपि परमेश्वर ने उसे राजा बनाया है, लेकिन उसे किसी भी बात को यूँ ही हलके में नहीं लेना है। उसे सीखने की आवश्यकता है कि कैसे जीवन जिए, परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह में बढ़े और उन्नति पाए, और अपने राज्य में आशीषित, सफल, और सुरक्षित रहे।

अपने जीवन काल में दाऊद बहुत साहसी व्यक्ति, और एक माना हुआ योद्धा था। उसके चारों के राजाओं और राज्यों में हिम्मत नहीं थी कि, जब तक वह सिंहासन पर था, राज्य कर रहा था, उस के साथ किसी भी प्रकार की कोई छेड़-छाड़ करें; उसके समय में इस्राएल राज्य में शान्ति रही (1 इतिहास 22:18; 23:25)।

लेकिन उसका उत्तराधिकारी, सुलैमान, युवा था और युद्ध कौशल में तथा शासन कला में अनुभवहीन था, जैसा कि उसने स्वयं ही स्वीकार किया था (1 राजाओं 3:7)। इसलिए चारों के राज्यों और दाऊद तथा इस्राएल के शत्रुओं के पास, दाऊद के देहान्त के बाद यह प्रलोभन हो सकता था कि जो वे दाऊद के साथ और उसके रहते इस्राएल के साथ नहीं कर सके, वह सुलैमान के साथ करें और अपना बदला उतार लें।

इसीलिए, दाऊद सुलैमान को निर्देश देता है कि एक “आशीषित एवं सफल जीवन” जीने के लिए, अर्थात जयवन्त रहने के लिए, उसे एक विशेष रीति से जीवन जीना होगा। दाऊद ने अपने जीवन काल में परमेश्वर के साथ अपने अनुभवों से जो सीखा था, उसके आधार पर दाऊद, सुलैमान से कहता है कि उसे परमेश्वर पर पूर्णतः निर्भर, उसका पूर्णतः आज्ञाकारी, और उस पर पूर्णतः भरोसा रखने वाला होना होगा, और केवल परमेश्वर को ही अपनी सुरक्षा बनाए रखना होगा। यह संभव हो पाने के लिए उसे इन चार बातों का निर्वाह करना होगा:

1. "तू हियाव बांधकर पुरुषार्थ दिखा" (1 राजाओं 2:2)।

2. "जो कुछ तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुझे सौंपा है, उसकी रक्षा कर के उसके मार्गों पर चला करना", अर्थात, परमेश्वर ने जो कुछ उसे सौंपा है, उसका योग्य भण्डारी बने (1 राजाओं 2:3a)।

3. परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखी सभी बातों का आज्ञाकारी बना रहे (1 राजाओं 2:3b)।

4. अपने सम्पूर्ण हृदय और सम्पूर्ण प्राण से, सच्चाई के साथ, हमेशा परमेश्वर के प्रति समर्पित और खरा बना रहे (1 राजाओं 2:4b)।  

 

यही चारों निर्देश प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी पर भी, उनके मसीही जीवनों में जयवन्त और सफल होने, तथा परमेश्वर की आशीषों के सम्भागी होने के लिए, लागू होते हैं। यह इन अन्त के दिनों में और भी आवश्यक है, जब हम विभिन्न तरीकों से अपने जीवनों के हर पक्ष में निरन्तर शैतानी हमलों का सामना कर रहे हैं। इस श्रृंखला में हमने इन्हीं चार सिद्धान्तों को लिया है ताकि एक प्रतिबद्ध मसीही जीवन को, जो परमेश्वर को महिमा देता है और हमारे अपने जीवनों में आशीषें लाता है, जी कर दिखा सकें।

अपने बाइबल अध्ययन में अभी हम इनमें से दूसरे सिद्धान्त, "जो कुछ तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुझे सौंपा है, उसकी रक्षा कर के उसके मार्गों पर चला करना" (1 राजाओं 2:3a), अर्थात, परमेश्वर द्वारा प्रदान की गई हर बात का भला भण्डारी होने के बारे में लगभग आधा देख चुके हैं। प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर ने न केवल उद्धार दिया है, बल्कि उद्धार के साथ ही कम से कम चार अन्य बातें भी अवश्य ही दी हैं। ये चार बातें हैं:

• उसका वचन

• उसकी पवित्र आत्मा

• उसकी कलीसिया तथा उसके बच्चों की संगति

• हमारी सेवकाई के लिए कोई न कोई आत्मिक वरदान

अपने बाइबल अध्ययन में इस समय हम मसीही विश्वासी के परमेश्वर के द्वारा दी गई बातों का भण्डारी होने को देख रहे हैं, और पिछले लेख तक हमने परमेश्वर के वचन का, तथा पवित्र आत्मा का भण्डारी होने के बारे में देखा है। अभी तक हमने जो सीखा है उसके पुनःअवलोकन के कुछ लेखों के बाद हम अपने बाइबल अध्ययन को फिर से आरंभ करेंगे, और मसीही विश्वासी के परमेश्वर की कलीसिया का तथा परमेश्वर के बच्चों के साथ संगति का भण्डारी होने के बारे में देखना आरंभ करेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Recapitulation – 1

Over four months ago, we had started on this series of Bible studies titled “Blessed and Successful Life,” based on 1 Kings 2:2-4. As it had seemed then, based on the notes I had in hand on this passage, it had seemed that the series would be completed in a few articles; quite likely not more than 8-10. It was beyond any imagination that this would turn out to be something like the five loaves and two fishes in the hands of the Lord. As we went along, God opened our eyes, heart, and mind to such awesome, stupendous truths from His Word, that it often overwhelmed us and brought trepidation to our hearts. God opened our eyes to so many humanly contrived things that we had been accepting and believing as Biblical truths and facts; and like us, so many others are still doing the same. Now we are about half-way into the points that I had in those initial notes, and God is still revealing more and deeper truths in nearly every article. Let us recapitulate what we have learnt so far, before proceeding any further.

In 1 Kings 2:2-4, King David, before his death, is instructing his young son, Solomon, who has recently been crowned as King of Israel, in the will of God (1 Chronicles 28:5; 29:1). David is instructing Solomon, though made a King by God, yet he should not take things for granted. He needs to learn about how to live, grow and prosper in God's favor, and be blessed, safe and successful in his reign.

David during his lifetime had been a very courageous person, a well-known warrior. The surrounding kings and kingdoms did not have the guts to meddle with him in any manner, while he was on the throne, ruling Israel; in his time there was peace in the kingdom of Israel (1 Chronicles 22:18; 23:25).

But his successor, Solomon, was young and inexperienced, in war as well as statesmanship, as he himself had acknowledged (1 Kings 3:7). Therefore, the surrounding kingdoms and the enemies of David and Israel, after David's demise, could easily be tempted to think of taking their revenge and do to Solomon what they could not do to David.

Therefore, David instructs Solomon that to lead a “Blessed and Successful Life,” i.e., to remain victorious, he needs to live and function in a particular manner. From what David had learnt through his life-experiences with God, David instructs Solomon that he has to remain totally trusting, obedient and dependent upon God, and to let God alone be his security. For this to happen, he must do the following 4 things:

1. To "be strong and prove yourself a man." (1 Kings 2:2).

2. To "keep the charge of the Lord God", i.e. to be a good Steward of whatever God has given to him (1 Kings 2:3a).

3. To be obedient to the Word of God, in all things written in it. (1 Kings 2:3b).

4. To be careful, taking heed, to remain sincere and committed to the Lord always (1 Kings 2:4b).

The same 4 instructions apply to every Christian Believer, for their being victorious and successful in their Christian lives, and being partakers of God's blessings. This is all the more necessary in these end times when we are facing the relentless attacks of satanic forces in various ways, and in every aspect of our lives. In this series, we have used these 4 principles to learn about living a committed Christian life that glorifies God, and brings blessings to our lives.

So far, in our Bible study we are about half-way through the second principle, i.e., "keep the charge of the Lord God", i.e. be a good Steward of whatever God has given (1 Kings 2:3a). To every Believer, God has not only given salvation, but at the very least, along with the salvation has also given the following four things:

• His Word

• His Holy Spirit

• His Church and Fellowship of His Children

• Some Gift of the Holy Spirit for our ministry

In our Bible study we are presently considering the Christian Believer being a steward of his God given provisions. While considering various aspects of our stewardship as Born-Again Christian Believers, till the last article we have seen about being stewards of God’s Word, and God’s Holy Spirit, so far. After having recapitulated what we have learnt so far in a few articles, we will take up and carry on with the Bible study; starting from the Believer being a steward of God’s Church and of fellowshipping with God’s children.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

इस श्रृंखला के पिछले लेखों से हम देखते चले आ रहे हैं कि प्रत्येक वास्तव में नया जन्म, या उद्धार पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी, उसे मसीही जीवन जीने तथा सेवकाई को करने के लिये परमेश्वर द्वारा प्रदान किए गए सभी प्रावधानों का भण्डारी भी है। और परमेश्वर के उन प्रावधानों में से एक है परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा जो विश्वासी में उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से निवास करने लगता है। विश्वासी को पवित्र आत्मा उसका सहायक, शिक्षक, और मार्गदर्शक होने के लिए दिया गया है जिस से वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दी गई सेवकाई का उचित निर्वाह कर सके। आज, पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में बहुत सारी गलत शिक्षाएँ और धारणाएँ व्याप्त हैं। जब तक कि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में बाइबल के अनुसार सही तथ्य व्यक्ति के पास नहीं होंगे, तब तक वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे उपलब्ध करवाए गए पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता, मार्गदर्शन, और सामर्थ्य का सही और उचित उपयोग नहीं करने पाएगा। पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित मुख्य शिक्षाएँ यूहन्ना रचित सुसमाचार के 14 से 16 अध्याय में, जो प्रभु यीशु के क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के लिए पकड़वाए जाने से पहले शिष्यों के साथ किया गया अंतिम वार्तालाप का भाग है, में मिलती हैं। पिछले कुछ समय से हम यूहन्ना 14:17 से सीख रहे हैं; और हाल ही में हमने सँसार के पवित्र आत्मा को जान न पाने, किन्तु प्रभु के शिष्यों के उसे जानने के बारे में सीखना आरंभ किया है। इस संदर्भ में, पिछले लेख से हमने पवित्र आत्मा से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने के बारे में सीखना आरंभ किया है।

हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर ने हमें अपना वचन इसलिए नहीं दिया है कि वह एक रहस्यमयी, बँद पुस्तक हो; वरन हमारे उसे पढ़ने और सीखने के लिए दिया है। परमेश्वर स्वयं हमें उसे सिखाना चाहता है, यदि हम उस से सीखने के लिए तथा उसकी शिक्षाओं का पालन करने के लिए तैयार हों, तो। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के दिए जाने का एक उद्देश्य है कि वह परमेश्वर की संतानों को परमेश्वर का वचन सिखाए। किन्तु प्रत्येक विश्वासी के लिए इस में धोखा खाने का एक कारण है कि वे पवित्र आत्मा से परमेश्वर का वचन सीखने का यत्न करने की बजाए, सरल रीति से किसी मनुष्य अथवा पुस्तकों से ही सीखने पर निर्भर हो जाते हैं। तब तो शैतान के पास गलत सिद्धान्तों और झूठी शिक्षाओं को लाने का पूरा अवसर उपलब्ध होगा, और वह इस अवसर का भरपूरी से उपयोग करता है। वह मसीही विश्वासियों को गलत शिक्षाओं, सिद्धांतों, और अनुचित व्यवहार में फँसा देता है। पिछले लेख में हम तीन मुख्य कारणों पर आ कर रुके थे, जिनके कारण मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीख नहीं पाते हैं। इन तीन कारणों के महत्व को हम साँसारिक शिक्षा को प्राप्त करने के उदाहरण से समझ सकते हैं। क्योंकि साँसारिक शिक्षा अर्जित नहीं कर पाने के लिए भी, और आत्मिक शिक्षाएँ प्राप्त न कर पाने तथा पवित्र आत्मा से वचन नहीं सीख पाने में भी, यही तीनों कारण समान रीति से लागू होते हैं। आज हम इन तीन में से पहले कारण को देखेंगे।

मसीही विश्वासी के पवित्र आत्मा से सीख नहीं पाने का पहला कारण है उस के अंदर, दोनों, मात्रा और गुणवत्ता में, परमेश्वर के वचन की घटी होना। हम साँसारिक शिक्षा के अपने अनुभव से यह भली-भाँति जानते हैं कि विद्यार्थी जितना अधिक अपने विषय को पढ़ता और सीखता है, और जितना अधिक वह उन शिक्षाओं को अपने अंदर समावेश कर लेता है, दोनों, मात्रा और गुणवत्ता में, वह अपनी परीक्षाओं में उतना ही बेहतर करने पाता है तथा व्यावहारिक जीवन में जहाँ भी उन शिक्षाओं की आवश्यकता होती है, उनका अच्छे से उपयोग करने पाता है। यह कर पाने के लिए, विद्यार्थी को अपनी पाठ्य-पुस्तकों को बारंबार पढ़ते रहना होता है, संबंधित प्रश्न-उत्तर के कार्यों को करना होता है, और जो उसने पढ़ा और सीखा है, उस पर औरों के साथ चर्चा करनी होती है। जितने भी लोग व्यक्तिगत रीति से और यत्न से यह सब नहीं करते हैं, वे कभी भी विषय को सीखने नहीं पाते हैं। एक बार पढ़ लेने से, या कभी-कभी और यहाँ-वहाँ से पढ़ लेने से, या शिक्षक के मुँह से कक्षा में केवल सुन लेने भर से, अथवा किसी और के द्वारा पढ़े जाने को सुन लेने भर से, कभी भी कोई भी विषय-वस्तु को ठीक से और सच में सीख नहीं सकता है।

ठीक यही बात परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने पर भी ऐसे ही लागू होती है। पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा शिष्यों को सिखाने के बारे में प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा कही गई कुछ बातों पर विचार कीजिए: प्रभु ने यूहन्ना 14:26 में कहा, “...वह तुम्हें सब बातें सिखाएगा, और जो कुछ मैं ने तुम से कहा है, वह सब तुम्हें स्मरण कराएगा।” ध्यान देने योग्य पहली बात है कि पवित्र आत्मा प्रभु के शिष्यों को “सब बातें सिखाएगा।” इसे 2 पतरस 1:3 के साथ मिला कर देखें – जीवन और भक्ति से संबंधित सभी बातें विश्वासियों को पहले ही दे दी गई हैं। अब इस से हमारे सामने परमेश्वर पिता के द्वारा अपने बच्चों के सीखने के लिए बनाया गया एक व्यापक पाठ्यक्रम आ जाता है, जिस में इस पृथ्वी पर और उसके बाद भी हमें जो कुछ भी चाहिए, वह सभी तैयार कर के रखा गया है। परमेश्वर ने प्रभु के शिष्यों के सीखने के लिये इसे तैयार कर रखा है, और इसे सर्वोत्तम संभव शिक्षक – स्वयं परमेश्वर, हमें सिखाना चाहता है।

यहाँ पर ध्यान देने योग्य दूसरी बात है कि प्रभु ने कहा कि पवित्र आत्मा “जो कुछ मैं ने तुम से कहा है, वह सब तुम्हें स्मरण कराएगा।” अर्थात, पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा सिखाए जाने की विधि होगी, विश्वासी के सामने आने वाली प्रत्येक परिस्थिति, प्रत्येक बात से संबंधित वचन में दी गई प्रभु की बातों का ध्यान करवाना, और उन बातों को याद दिलाना। इसकी पुष्टि प्रभु ने एक बार फिर से यूहन्ना 16:14-15 में भी की है। यहाँ पर यह ध्यान में रखना महत्वपूर्ण है कि सम्पूर्ण पवित्र शास्त्र, पुराना नियम भी, प्रभु यीशु के बारे में बात करता है (लूका 24:47; यूहन्ना 5:39, 46)। प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी पृथ्वी के सेवकाई के दिनों में, अपनी अन्य शिक्षाओं के अतिरिक्त, प्रभु के बारे में पुराने नियम में दी गई बातों को भी अपने शिष्यों को समझाया और सिखाया था (पहाड़ी उपदेश – मत्ती 5-7 में दिए और सिखाए गए स्पष्टीकरण; मरकुस 4:34; मरकुस 10:32; लूका 24:44)। इसलिए, पवित्र आत्मा शिष्यों को न केवल वह याद दिलाएगा जो प्रभु ने अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के दौरान कहा, बल्कि समस्त पवित्र शास्त्र में से लेकर आवश्यकता अनुसार स्मरण करवाएगा।

 

लेकिन इसके लिए, पवित्र आत्मा के लिए विश्वासियों को याद करवाने और सिखाने के लिए, उनके पास आसानी से उपलब्ध हो सकने वाला प्रभु की बातों का एक संग्रह, एक भण्डार होना अनिवार्य है। वह इसी संग्रह में से लेकर समय और परिस्थिति के अनुसार ध्यान या स्मरण करवाएगा, और उस बात का व्यावहारिक उपयोग सिखाएगा। सहज रीति से उपलब्ध रहने के लिए इस संग्रह या भण्डार को दो स्वरूपों में उपलब्ध होना चाहिए – एक तो भौतिक, बाहरी स्वरूप, अर्थात् परमेश्वर का लिखित वचन – बाइबल। हम पहले देख चुके हैं कि बाइबल का मूल लेखक पवित्र आत्मा है, जिसकी प्रेरणा और जिस की अगुवाई से ही विभिन्न लेखकों ने वचन को लिखा है (2 तीमुथियुस 3:16), और हमारे लिए लिखित स्वरूप में उपलब्ध करवाया है। और दूसरा, वह वचन हर समय हमारे मन-मस्तिष्क में उपलब्ध रहना चाहिए (यहोशू 1:8; Job 22:22; भजन 37:31; भजन 40:8; नीतिवचन 2:1)। पवित्र आत्मा ने अपना कार्य पूरा कर दिया है; उसने परमेश्वर के वचन को लिखित रूप में हमें उपलब्ध करवा दिया है। अब विश्वासी को अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी निभानी है कि अपने मन-मस्तिष्क में परमेश्वर के वचन को समावेश कर ले, उसे अपने अन्दर भर ले, जिस से, जब भी आवश्यकता हो, हर परिस्थिति के लिए, हमेशा वचन सिखाने के लिये पवित्र आत्मा को उपलब्ध रहे। जब परमेश्वर का वचन इन दोनों ही स्वरूपों में विश्वासी के पास उपलब्ध रहता है, तब पवित्र आत्मा हर बात, हर परिस्थिति के लिए, जिस का भी विश्वासी सामना करे, उपयुक्त वचन को स्मरण करवाएगा, जिस से उसे मार्गदर्शन मिले, सामर्थ्य मिले, और वह वचन के द्वारा बुद्धिमान किया जाए।

जैसे कोई भी विद्यार्थी अपनी साँसारिक पढ़ाई को लापरवाही से और यूँ ही, अपने मन-मस्तिष्क को ठीक से तैयार किए बिना, यहाँ-वहाँ से यदा-कदा पढ़ने के द्वारा सही रीति से नहीं कर सकता है; उसी प्रकार से परमेश्वर के वचन के अध्ययन को भी बिना उचित तैयारी के नहीं सीखा जा सकता है। पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के लिये वचन को प्रार्थना के साथ, नियमित, योजनाबद्ध रीति से, क्रमवार, और विचार करते हुए यत्न के साथ पढ़ना चाहिए (भजन 119:4)। जब विश्वासी बारंबार पढ़ने, उस की शिक्षाओं को व्यावहारिक रीति से अपने जीवन में लागू करने, और उसके बारे में औरों के साथ चर्चा करने के द्वारा अपने मन-मस्तिष्क को वचन से भर लेता है, तब पवित्र आत्मा भी विश्वासी की सहायता करता रहता है कि उस वचन के अर्थ और उपयोगिता को उसे बताए और समझाए, कदम-ब-कदम वचन में परिपक्व होते जाने में सहायता करे। 

अगले लेख में हम दूसरी बात, अर्थात, परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ने और अध्ययन करने के लिए पर्याप्त और उचित समय न लगाना, और सामान्यतः यह तब होता है, जब विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा के निर्देशों को जानने और मानने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध नहीं होता है, को देखेंगे; और यह उस बात का जो हमने अभी देखी है, उसे आगे ज़ारी रखना है।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Learning From the Holy Spirit – 2

 

Since the previous articles of this series, we have been seeing that every truly Born-Again or saved Christian Believer is a steward of the provisions God has given him for his Christian living and ministry. And one of the given provisions is God the Holy Spirit residing in him since the moment of his salvation. The Holy Spirit has been given to be a Helper, Teacher, and Guide to every child of God so that he can worthily fulfill his God assigned ministry. Nowadays, there are many prevalent misconceptions and wrong teachings about the Holy Spirit. Unless one has a clear Biblical understanding of the facts about God the Holy Spirit, he cannot utilize the help, guidance, and power of the Holy Spirit made available to him by God. The main teachings about the Holy Spirit are found in John’s gospel, chapters 14 to 16, in the Lord Jesus’s last discourse with His disciples before being caught and taken for crucifixion. We have been studying from John 14:17 for the past some time about the Holy Spirit, and of late we have been learning about the world not knowing Him; but the disciples of the Lord knowing Him. In this context, since the previous article, we have started learning about learning God’s Word from the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that God has given us His Word, not to be a closed and enigmatic book; but to study and learn it. God desires to teach it to us Himself, provided we are willing to learn it from Him and obey His teachings. One of the purposes of God the Holy Spirit being given is to teach the children of God the Word of God. A pitfall for every Believer is that instead of diligently learning God’s Word from the Holy Spirit, they usually take the easy way out of depending upon some person and books to learn. Then, Satan has a good opportunity to bring in wrong doctrines and false teachings, and he makes full use of it.  Satan then misleads and misguides Believers into wrong teachings, doctrines, and inappropriate practices. In the last article we had stopped at the three main reasons which prevent the Christian Believer from learning God’s Word from the Holy Spirit. We can understand the importance of these three reasons by taking our secular education as an example; these reasons are equally applicable to not being able to acquire a secular education, as well as not being able to acquire a spiritual education and learning God’s Word from the Holy Spirit. Today we will take up the first of these three reasons.

The first main reason for a Believer not being able to learn from the Holy Spirit is the deficiency of God’s Word in him, in quantity as well as quality. We know very well from our secular education, the more the student reads and studies his subjects, and the more he assimilates them in quantity and quality, the better he does in his exams, and in their practical applications in life where they are required. To do this, the student has to keep reading his textbooks over and over again, complete his assignments, and discuss with others what he has read and learnt. Those who do not spend time in doing these personally and diligently, will never learn the subject. A single reading, or relying on occasional erratic readings from here and there, or merely listening to lectures given by the teacher, or listening to someone else reading the lessons, never suffices to actually and adequately learn the subject matter.

The same holds equally true for learning God’s Word. Ponder over some things that the Lord Jesus said about the Holy Spirit teaching the disciples: in John 14:26, the Lord said “…He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” The first thing to note is that the Holy Spirit will teach to the Lord’s disciple “all things.” Now, couple this with 2 Peter 1:3 – all things for life and godliness have already been given to the Believers. With this we have an all-encompassing comprehensive curriculum prepared by God the Father for His children. In other words, God’s curriculum consists of everything we will ever need on this earth and beyond. God has kept it ready for learning by the Lord’s disciples, and to be taught to them by the best teacher that ever could be – God Himself.

The second thing to note here is that the Lord said that the Holy Spirit will “bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” Therefore, the main method of the Holy Spirit’s teaching will be by making us recall or remember what the Lord Jesus has said regarding any given situation, for anything that comes our way. The Lord affirmed this again in John 16:14-15. It is important to bear in mind that all of Scriptures, even the Old Testament, speak of the Lord Jesus (Luke 24:27; John 5:39, 46)। The Lord Jesus during His earthly ministry, besides His other teachings, also explained things about Him from the Old Testament to the disciples (Clarifications given in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7; Mark 4:34; Mark 10:32; Luke 24:44). Therefore, the Holy Spirit would not only remind the disciples of what the Lord taught in His earthly Ministry, but, according to the need of the hour, He will also remind from all of the Scriptures.

 

But for the Holy Spirit to be able to remind and teach the Believers, there has to be a readily available ‘stock’, a repository of what the Lord Jesus has said. It is from this stock that He can bring to our remembrance what we need to learn and apply in any given situation. To be readily utilized, this stock or repository has to be available in two forms – firstly, in a physical, external form – the written Word of God – the Bible. And we have seen that the Bible has been authored by the Holy Spirit through inspiring the various authors who have written it (2 Timothy 3:16), and made available to us in the written form. And secondly, it should at all times also be present in our hearts and minds (Joshua 1:8; Job 22:22; Psalm 37:31; Psalm 40:8; Proverbs 2:1). The Holy Spirit has already done His part, He has given to us the Word of God in a written form. Now the Believers have to do their part, i.e., assimilate God’s Word, fill their hearts and minds with it, and always keep it readily available for any occasion, for the Holy Spirit to teach as and when required. When God’s Word is present with the Believer in both forms, then the Holy Spirit will be able to make him recall and remember the Word, as is appropriate for each and everything, for every situation that he may face, and thus be guided, be strengthened, and be made wise by that Word.

Just as no student can properly study for his secular education by randomly and carelessly reading from here and there, off and on, without preparing himself and his mind for the study; similarly, God’s Word too cannot be learned without a proper preparation. To learn from the Holy Spirit it should be read prayerfully, regularly, systematically, sequentially, and diligently pondered over (Psalm 119:4). As one fills his heart and mind with God’s Word by repeatedly going through it, practically applying its teachings in life, and talking about it with others, the Holy Spirit also helps and guides the Believer in learning the meanings and applications of God’s Word and maturing in it, step by step.

 

In the next article we will take up the second reason, i.e., lack of giving adequate time to read and study God’s Word, and this usually is due to the Believer’s not being committed enough to follow and obey the instructions of the Holy Spirit, which actually is a continuation of what we have just seen.

Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पुनःअवलोकन: पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि शैतान किस प्रकार से धार्मिक अगुवों, परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रचारकों और शिक्षकों ही का उपयोग, पवित्रशास्त्र के लेखों में, और/या उसके वास्तविक अर्थ में छेड़छाड़ और परिवर्तन करने के लिये करता है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी पृथ्वी पर की सेवा के दौरान इसे अपने पहाड़ी उपदेश (मत्ती अध्याय 5 से 7) में “तुमने सुना है; परन्तु मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ” जैसे कथनों के द्वारा; साथ ही मत्ती 15:1-15 में शास्त्रियों और फरीसियों को दी गई अपनी फटकार में भी प्रकट किया था। मत्ती 15 के इस भाग में प्रभु का मुख्य आरोप — मत्ती 15:7-9, यशायाह से लिया गया एक उद्धरण है। इसका तात्पर्य स्पष्ट है — परमेश्वर के वचन का भ्रष्ट होना, गलत अर्थ निकालना, और दुरुपयोग बहुत समय से होता आ रहा है, यहाँ तक कि प्रभु की पृथ्वी पर की सेवा से भी पहले से। इसके बाद हमने देखा कि जैसे-जैसे सुसमाचार और मसीहियत का प्रचार और प्रसार हुआ, वैसे-वैसे शैतान द्वारा लाई गई गलत शिक्षाएँ और सिद्धांत भी साथ ही फैलते गए, ताकि मसीही शिक्षाओं को भ्रष्ट और बिगाड़ा जा सके, और लोगों को धोखा देकर गलत, विधर्मी मार्गों पर डाला जा सके।

 

हमने यह भी देखा था कि बाइबल के उदाहरण स्पष्ट रूप से, सामान्यतः एहसास एवं अंगीकार नहीं किए जाने वाले, इस तथ्य को दर्शाते हैं कि मसीही धार्मिक अगुओं ने, चाहे जानबूझकर या अनजाने में, हमेशा इन शैतानी शिक्षाओं और सिद्धांतों को परमेश्वर की कलीसियाओं में प्रवेश करने और जड़ पकड़ने देने में एक बड़ी भूमिका निभाई है, और वहीं से वे बातें अन्य लोगों और सभाओं में फैल गई। जबकि शैतान धोखा खाए हुए धार्मिक अगुवों और लोगों को इस भ्रम में बनाए रखता है कि वे सही और धर्म के मार्ग पर ही हैं। इसका एक प्रमाण बाइबिल का यह बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य है, जिसका बहुधा एहसास ही नहीं किया जाता है, कि नए नियम का लगभग आधा भाग, अर्थात प्रेरितों के काम और प्रकाशितवाक्य के बीच की सारी पत्रियाँ, मसीही विश्वासियों की कलीसियाओं और उनके अगुवों को लिखी गई थीं, ताकि पहली शताब्दी में ही मसीही विश्वास में घुस आई विभिन्न गलतियों को समझाया और सुधारा जा सके। यहाँ तक कि प्रकाशितवाक्य की पुस्तक के अध्याय 2 और 3 में भी, 7 में से 5 कलीसियाओं और उनके अगुवों को उनकी गलत मान्यताओं और प्रथाओं के कारण कड़ी फटकार, और भयंकर परिणामों की चेतावनी दी गई है।

हमने यह भी देखा था कि इन गलत, अनुचित, और पवित्रशास्त्र से असंगत शिक्षाओं के इतने आसानी से स्वीकार किए जाने, और अगुवों तथा कलीसिया की सभाओं द्वारा फैलाए जाने के दो मुख्य कारण हैं। पहला कारण, जैसा की हम पहले देख चुके हैं, यह अत्यंत दुःखद तथ्य है कि अधिकांश मसीही अपने जीवन में परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के परिश्रमपूर्वक अध्ययन के लिए कभी भी उचित समय नहीं देते हैं। इसके बजाय उनकी पहली प्राथमिकता, मत्ती 6:31-34; 1 यूहन्ना 2:15-17; और याकूब 4:4 के विरुद्ध, नाशवान संसार, उसकी अस्थायी वस्तुएँ, और उसके नश्वर भौतिक लाभ अर्जित करते रहना ही होती है। इसलिए, शैतान लोगों को आसानी से किसी भी ऐसी बात पर विश्वास करने के लिए भटका सकता है, जो मंच से आकर्षक और देखने में तर्कसंगत तरीके से कही जाती है। विशेषकर तब, जब यह किसी लोकप्रिय और प्रतिष्ठित प्रचारक या बाइबल शिक्षक द्वारा कही जाए। हमने देखा है कि लोगों को भ्रमित करने के लिए शैतान की एक बहुत प्रभावी रणनीति यह है कि वह बाइबल के सही लेखों का गलत अर्थों के साथ उपयोग करता है; अर्थात ऐसे अर्थों के साथ से जो उन लेखों के बारे में बाइबिल में पाए ही नहीं जाते हैं। इस धोखे के विरुद्ध परमेश्वर के वचन में जो सुरक्षा उपाय दिया गया है, वह है कि किसी की भी कही हुई, कोई भी बात को, स्वीकार करने से पहले, हर बात को सीधे परमेश्वर के वचन से जाँच लेना चाहिए (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। परन्तु यह बात विश्वासियों द्वारा शायद ही कभी व्यवहार में लाई जाती है। इसके विपरीत, अधिकांश मसीही विश्वासी अपने पसंदीदा अगुवे, प्रचारक, या शिक्षक की हर बात पर, चाहे वह सही हो या गलत, अंधविश्वास कर लेते हैं, फिर अपने उस अंध विश्वास को बनाए रखते हैं, और फिर उसे अंधाधुंध दूसरों में भी फैलाते रहते हैं।

शैतान इस रणनीति को नए नियम में से बाइबल के कुछ सामान्य शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का दुरुपयोग करवाने के द्वारा लागू करता है। नए जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासी, अर्थात परमेश्वर की संतानों को, किसी भी समय, और किसी भी बात के लिए परमेश्वर के पास, बिना किसी बाधा के आने का, परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया खुला मार्ग और अधिकार है (रोमियों 5:1-2; इफिसियों 2:18; 3:12)। शैतान ने कुछ विश्वासियों को बहका दिया है कि प्रार्थना में माँगने या आराधना चढ़ाने के लिए परमेश्वर के पास आना, कुछ विशेष शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का नियमित उपयोग करने के द्वारा ही किया जाना चाहिए। इसलिए वे बहुत बार बाइबिल के कुछ शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का बार-बार दोहराते और प्रयोग करते रहते हैं, और यह भी उन तरीकों और अर्थों के साथ से जो बाइबिल में उनके बारे में न तो बताए गए हैं और न ही दिये गये हैं। अपनी समस्याओं का समाधान करने के लिए, कुछ अक्सर प्रयोग किये जाने वाले शब्द और वाक्यांश हैं, ‘शैतान को बाँधना,’ ‘यीशु के लहू को अपने ऊपर लगाना या लेना, या उसके द्वारा’ और ‘यीशु के क्रूस को लागू करना’ आदि।

ये लोग मानते हैं कि इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का जप या मंत्र की तरह उपयोग करने से उनकी प्रार्थनाएँ अधिक प्रभावी हो जाएँगी, वे परमेश्वर से माँगी हुई बातें आसानी से प्राप्त कर लेंगे, उनकी इच्छाएँ पूरी होंगी, और उनकी समस्याएँ हल हो जाएँगी, आदि। यह मानो ऐसा है कि कुछ विशेष शब्दों और वाक्यांशों के उपयोग के द्वारा वे परमेश्वर को एक निश्चित तरीके से कार्य करने के लिए निर्देशित और बाध्य कर सकते हैं, उससे कुछ विशेष कार्य करवा सकते हैं, और उसे दूसरों की अपेक्षा अपने पक्ष में अधिक कर सकते हैं। उनके लिए इस बात का बहुत कम, या बिल्कुल भी महत्व नहीं है कि पूरी बाइबिल में किसी ने भी, कहीं भी, किसी भी बात या समस्या के लिए, बाइबिल के इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का इस प्रकार कभी उपयोग नहीं किया है। इस धोखे को फैलाने वालों के लिए यह समझाना बहुत कठिन होता है कि इन अभूतपूर्व और बाइबल-विरुद्ध तरीकों से कुछ शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का उपयोग कैसे परमेश्वर को उनके पक्ष में कार्य करने के लिए बाध्य या प्रभावित कर सकता है, या उनकी प्रार्थनाओं का उत्तर दूसरों की प्रार्थनाओं की तुलना में अधिक शीघ्र और सकारात्मक रूप से दिला सकता है। उनके पास इस बात का कोई तर्कसंगत उत्तर या स्पष्टीकरण नहीं है कि बाइबिल में इन शब्दों और वाक्यांशों का इस प्रकार किसी ने भी, किसी भी उद्देश्य के लिए, कभी उपयोग क्यों नहीं किया। फिर भी, वे हठपूर्वक और बार-बार इनका उपयोग करते रहते हैं, मानो कोई जप या मंत्र हो।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Altering God’s Word - 16

 

Review: In the previous article we had seen how Satan uses the religious leaders, the preachers and teachers of God's Word to tamper with and alter the Scriptures - its text and/or its actual meaning. Lord Jesus during His earthly ministry had pointed this out in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5 to 7) through His "you have heard; but I tell you" statements; as well as in His admonition to the Scribes and Pharisees in Matthew 15:1-15. In this section, the Lord’s main accusation - Matthew 15:7-9, is a quote from Isaiah; the implication is quite obvious - corruption, misinterpretation, and misuse of God’s Word has been going on since long, even before the Lord’s earthly ministry. We saw next that, as the gospel and Christianity spread, so did the wrong teachings and doctrines brought in by Satan to corrupt and distort the Christian teachings spread, to deceive and misguide people into wrong, ungodly ways.

 

We also saw that Biblical examples clearly illustrate the generally unrealized and unacknowledged fact, that the Christian religious leaders, knowingly or unknowingly, have always played a major role in letting these satanic teachings and doctrines enter and take hold in God’s Churches, and from there spread to other people and congregations. While Satan makes the deceived religious leaders and the people believe that they are on the right and godly path. An evidence of this is the very often unrealized Biblical fact that nearly half of the New Testament, i.e., all the letters between the books of Acts and Revelation, have been written to Churches and congregations of Christian Believers and their Church leaders to explain and correct the various errors that had crept into Christianity in the first century itself. Even in chapters 2 and 3 of the book of Revelation, 5 out of 7 Churches and their leaders have been strongly reprimanded and warned of dire consequences against their wrong beliefs and practices.

We also saw that there are two main reasons why these wrong, inappropriate, and Scripturally inconsistent teachings are so readily accepted and propagated by leaders and the congregations. The first reason, as has been pointed out earlier, is the very sad fact that, contrary to Matthew 6:31-34; 1 John 2:15-17; and James 4:4, most Christians never give God and the diligent study of His Word any quality time in their lives. Instead their first priority remains the perishing world, its temporal things, and its perishable material gains. Therefore, Satan can easily mislead people into believing anything said from the Pulpit in an attractive and seemingly logical way; more so, if this is done by a popular and reputed Preacher or Bible teacher. We have seen that one of Satan’s very effective strategies to misguide people, is to use the correct Biblical text, in incorrect ways, i.e., in ways not seen in the Bible about them. The safety mechanism given in God's Word against this deception is to first cross check everything directly from God's Word, before accepting anything said by anyone (Acts 17:11; 1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). But this is hardly, if ever, actually put into practice by the Believers. Rather, most Christian Believers develop and maintain a blind-faith in whatever their favorite elder, preacher, or teacher says, whether right or wrong, and then they blindly propagate it to others also.

Satan implements this strategy through misusing some common New Testament Biblical terms and phrases. The Born-Again Believers, i.e., the Children of God, have a God given free, open, and unhindered authority to access to God at any time, for anything (Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:18; 3:12). Satan has beguiled some Believers into believing that coming to God for asking in prayer or for offering worship, should preferably be through using some specific words and terms, routinely. Therefore, they very frequently keep repetitively using Biblical terms and phrases, in ways not stated or intended about them in the Bible. Some often used words and phrases for solving their problematic issues are, ‘binding Satan,’ ‘applying or taking upon themselves or through the blood of Jesus,’ and ‘applying the Cross of Jesus,’ etc. 

These people believe that by using these words and phrases like a chant or incantation, their prayers will become more effective, they will readily get what they ask from God, their desires will be fulfilled and their problems will readily be solved, etc. It is as if, through the use of certain words and phrases, they can direct and compel God to act in a certain manner, get Him to do certain things, they can bias God in their favor over and above others. It matters little, if at all, to them that throughout the Bible no one, anywhere, for anything or any problem, has never ever used these Biblical words and phrases in this manner. The purveyors of this deception are hard put to explain, how this unheard-of and unBiblical use of certain words and phrases compels or biases God to act in their favor or answer their prayers more readily and positively, than the other prayers. They have no rational explanation or answer for why these words and phrases have never been used in the Bible by anyone, for anything, in the manner they are using them, and doing it repetitively. And yet, they obstinately, repetitively use them all the time, like a chant or an incantation.

In the next article we will continue analyzing this unBiblical practice through some more Bible verses. We will also see how this practice hits at the very character and attributes of God, casts aspersions on Him and denigrates Him; thereby exposing the devious satanic origin of this practice done in the garb of expressing love and honor for God reverentially. 

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
