    परमेश्वर के पवित्र आत्मा के भण्डारी होने के नाते, जो हमेशा उनमें बना रहता है और उन्हें परमेश्वर के द्वारा उनके उद्धार पाने के क्षण से ही दे दिया गया है, नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों को अपना मसीही जीवन जीने और परमेश्वर द्वारा उन्हें सौंपी गई सेवकाई का निर्वाह करने के लिए योग्य रीति से उसकी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन का उपयोग करना चाहिए। उसके बारे में जैसा बाइबल में नहीं दिया गया है, उस रीति से और उन बातों के लिए उसका उपयोग करना, एक अयोग्य भण्डारी होना है, जो कभी सफल नहीं होगा। इसलिए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को उसके बारे में बाइबल में से सीखना चाहिए। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा को विश्वासियों को उनका शिक्षक होने के लिए भी दिया गया है, कि उन्हें परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल सिखाए। यद्यपि पवित्र आत्मा प्रत्येक विश्वासी को परमेश्वर का वचन सिखाना चाहता है, लेकिन सामान्यतः विश्वासी उस से सीखना नहीं चाहते हैं, बल्कि मनुष्यों से सीखने पर निर्भर रहना चाहते हैं। पिछले लेखों में हमने उन कारणों के देखा है कि क्यों विश्वासी असिद्ध, गलती करने वाले मनुष्यों से सीखने और झूठी शिक्षाओं तथा गलत सिद्धांतों में पड़ने का जोखिम उठाते हैं, बजाए सिद्ध और अचूक परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के।

    पिछले लेख में हमने देखना आरंभ किया था कि विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा से कैसे सीख सकता है। हमने 1 पतरस 2:1-2 से देखा था कि इसके लिए जो पहला काम विश्वासी को करना है, वह है अपने हृदय को पवित्र आत्मा के रहने और काम करने के लिए योग्य स्थान बनाना, साँसारिक रवैये और व्यवहार को अपने अन्दर से निकालने के द्वारा। हमने यह भी देखा था कि विश्वासी को स्वयं ही यह काम करना है, न कि इसे पवित्र आत्मा पर डालकर उसे अपने स्थान पर अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी पूरी करने के लिए लगाने का प्रयास करना है। उनका सहायक और मार्गदर्शक होने के नाते पवित्र आत्मा इस में उनकी सहायता करेगा, उन्हें दिखाएगा, उन्हें सिखाएगा कि यह कैसे करना है, लेकिन उनके स्थान पर उनके लिए कर के नहीं देगा।

    फिर जो दूसरा काम करना है, जैसा 1 पतरस 2:1-2 में दिया गया है, विश्वासी को “नये जन्मे हुए बच्‍चों के समान निर्मल आत्मिक दूध की लालसा” करनी है, क्योंकि उसकी बढ़ोतरी इसी पर निर्भर है। पतरस ने यहाँ पर कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बातें कहीं हैं, ऐसी बातें जिन पर विश्वासियों को मनन करना चाहिए, ताकि परमेश्वर से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीख सकें।

    पहली बात है कि मसीही विश्वासी में निहित एक स्वाभाविक लालसा होनी चाहिए कि केवल परमेश्वर के वचन का निर्मल आत्मिक दूध ही ग्रहण करे, और कुछ नहीं। मूल यूनानी भाषा में जिस शब्द का उपयोग किया गया, जिसे लालसा अनुवाद किया गया है, उसका अर्थ होता है एक तीव्र लालसा, किसी बात पर हक जता कर उसे अपनाए रखना। पवित्र आत्मा ने यहाँ पर पतरस के द्वारा जो कहा है कि वे चाहे नए जन्मे हुए शिशु ही हैं, किन्तु विश्वासियों के अंदर एक तीव्र लालसा होनी चाहिए, उन्हें पूरे मन से केवल वह जो निर्मल आत्मिक दूध है, उसी की उत्कंठा होनी चाहिए। उन्हें जो कुछ भी ‘परमेश्वर के वचन का दूध’ के नाम पर परोस दिया जाता है, उसे ग्रहण कर लेने और उस से संतुष्ट हो जाने वाला नहीं होना चाहिए, लेकिन उन में एक समझ-बूझ होनी चाहिए, सही और गलत या उचित अथवा अनुचित की पहचान करने की भी चाह होनी चाहिए। अब एक नए नया-जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासी के लिए यह कर पाना असंभव कार्य प्रतीत होता है। वह जिसे परमेश्वर के वचन के बारे में बहुत ही कम पता है, वह यह कैसे समझने पाएगा कि उसे जो दिया जा रहा है वह परमेश्वर के वचन का “निर्मल आत्मिक दूध” है अथवा कुछ और, कोई मिलावट की हुई वस्तु?

    यहीं पर पवित्र आत्मा का योग्य भण्डारी होना, अर्थात पवित्र आत्मा से सही सहायता और मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त करना आ जाता है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपने पहाड़ी उपदेश में, मत्ती 7:7 में कहा है, “मांगो, तो तुम्हें दिया जाएगा; ढूंढ़ो, तो तुम पाओगे; खटखटाओ, तो तुम्हारे लिये खोला जाएगा।” प्रभु ने यह बात अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के आरंभिक चरण में अपने उन अनुयायियों से कही थी जो सामान्यतः अनपढ़, और साधारण लोग थे। प्रभु उन्हें सिखा रहा था कि परमेश्वर में उनका विश्वास और परमेश्वर के प्रावधान, जब साथ मिल जाएंगे, तो उनके लिए अद्भुत काम करेंगे; किन्तु उन्हें परमेश्वर से माँगने के लिए साहस करना पड़ेगा। विश्वासी बहुधा इस पद को तब माँगते और उपयोग करते हैं जब उन्हें परमेश्वर से कुछ भौतिक वस्तुएँ चाहिए होती हैं। किन्तु कितने हैं जो इस पद को परमेश्वर से उसका वचन सीखने के लिए माँगते और उपयोग करते हैं? कितने हैं जो जब वे परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ या अध्ययन कर रहे होते हैं, या किसी भी प्रचारक अथवा शिक्षक से कोई संदेश को सुन रहे होते हैं तब परमेश्वर से यह माँगते हैं कि उन्हें झूठी शिक्षाओं, गलत सिद्धान्तों, और मनुष्यों की बुद्धि तथा समझ की बातों से बचाए रखे?

    विश्वासी द्वारा सच्चे मन से इस लालसा को व्यक्त करना, और परमेश्वर से सही-गलत की पहचान करने और बहकाए जाने से बचाए रखने के लिए उसकी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन माँगने से, उनका दृष्टिकोण मौलिक रूप से बदल जाएगा, और उन में परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने के लिए सही -गलत की समझ-बूझ आ जाएगी। साथ ही उन्हें इसके साथ परमेश्वर के वचन के आधार पर बातों को जाँचने-परखने वाला (1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21) भी बनना चाहिए, और किसी से भी कुछ भी ग्रहण कर लेने से पहले बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान करना चाहिए (प्रेरितों 17:11)। बेरिया के ये विश्वासी परमेश्वर के वचन के कोई बहुत बड़े विद्वान नहीं थे। ध्यान कीजिए, यह पहली कलीसिया का समय था, नए नियम की सभी पुस्तकें और पत्रियाँ अभी लिखे भी नहीं गए थे, मसीही शिक्षाएँ मुख्यतः मौखिक ही होती थीं, लेकिन फिर भी बेरिया के विश्वासियों ने पवित्र शास्त्र से उसे जाँच-परख कर देखा, जो पौलुस उन्हें मसीह के बारे में पवित्र शास्त्र में से बता रहा था, उसकी पुष्टि करने के लिए कि पौलुस सही कह रहा था या नहीं।

    यही वह लालसा, वह उत्कंठा है जिसे मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के वचन को पढ़ते, अध्ययन करते, या सुनते समय दिखानी चाहिए; कि सही और गलत की पहचान करने में उनकी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन किया जाए। जो लोग सच्चे मन से, सार्थक रीति से यह माँगते हैं, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें सब सत्य का मार्ग बताएगा (यूहन्ना 16:13), और इस तरह से उन्हें सभी झूठी शिक्षाओं, गलत सिद्धान्तों, और उनके द्वारा होने वाली हानि से बचाए रखेगा। हम अगले लेख में यही से आगे देखना आरंभ करेंगे, तथा 1 पतरस 2:1-2 में पवित्र आत्मा से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने से संबंधित लिखी अन्य बातों को देखेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Learning from the Holy Spirit – 11

    As stewards of God’s Holy Spirit, who resides in them always and has been given to them at the very moment of their salvation by God, the Born-Again Christian Believers are to worthily utilize His help and guidance to live their Christian lives and fulfil their God assigned ministry. Wanting to use the Holy Spirit in ways and for things not given about Him in the Bible, is being an unworthy steward, and will never succeed. Therefore, every Christian Believer should learn about Him from the Bible. God the Holy Spirit has also been given to be the Teacher of Christian Believers, to teach God’s Word the Bible to them. Though the Holy Spirit wants to teach every Believer, but usually the Believers do not want to learn from Him, wanting to rely on learning from man instead. In the previous articles we have seen the reasons for Believers choosing to learn from imperfect, fallible men and get into erroneous teachings and false doctrines, rather than learning from the perfect infallible God the Holy Spirit.

    In the last article we had started to see how a Believer can learn from the Holy Spirit. We had seen from 1 Peter 2:1-2, that the first thing that the Believer has to do is prepare one’s heart to be a proper place for the Holy Spirit to live and work, by getting rid of the worldly attitude and behavior. We had also seen that the Believer has to do this himself, and not try to put it upon the Holy Spirit to be their substitute and fulfil their responsibility for them. The Holy Spirit as their helper and guide will help them, show them, teach them how to do this, but will not do it for them.

    Then, the second thing, as given in 1 Peter 2:1-2 is that the Believer needs to “desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” because his growth is dependent upon this. In other words, he should desire to have a discernment, and the attitude of accepting only what is pure from God’s Word. Peter says some very important things here, things that the Believers need to ponder over, to learn God’s Word from God.

    Firstly, within the Christian Believer there must be an inherent natural desire for receiving only the pure milk of the Word of God, and nothing else. The word used in the original Greek language, and translated as ‘desire’ means to have an intense craving, a possessiveness. What the Holy Spirit through Peter has stated here is that even as “newborn babes” the Believers are to intensely crave, to sincerely desire only for that which is the pure milk. They should not be satisfied with anything and everything served to them as ‘milk of the Word of God’ but have an understanding, a discernment between right and wrong, between correct and incorrect. Now, for a newly Born-Again Christian Believer, this seems to be an impossible task. One who hardly knows anything about God’s Word, how will he be able to figure out whether or not he is being given the “the pure milk of the word” or something adulterated?

    This is where the stewardship of the Holy Spirit i.e., the proper utilization of the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit comes into play. The Lord Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount, in Matthew 7:7 has said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” The Lord has made this statement at the beginning of His earthly ministry, to disciples who had recently started to follow Him, and were generally the common uneducated, simple folks. The Lord was teaching them that their faith in God and His providence when joined together, they will work wonders for them, but they have to be bold enough to ask God. The Believers often use and claim this verse when asking for temporal things from God, but how often and how many ask and claim this verse for learning God’s Word from God? How many ask God to keep them safe from wrong doctrines, false teachings, things of man’s wisdom and understanding, etc., when reading, or studying God’s Word, or listening to any message from any preacher or teacher?

    The sincere expressing of this desire by the Believers, and asking for God’s help and guidance for discernment to not be misled, to be kept safe from anything incorrect, will radically change their perception and bring about a great discernment in their learning God’s Word. They should also supplement this by making it a practice to cross-check from God’s Word (1 Thessalonians 5:21), before accepting anything from anyone, they should do as the Berean Believers did (Acts 17:11). These Berean Believers were not great scholars of God’s Word. Remember, this was the time of the first Church, the New Testament books and letters had not yet been fully written, Christian teachings were mainly oral, but still the Bereans cross-checked from the Scriptures whether what Paul was telling them about Christ from those Scriptures, to verify what Paul was saying was correct or not.

    This is the craving, the discernment that Christian Believers need to exhibit when studying, listening to, and learning God’s Word; to be helped and guided only into the correct and nothing incorrect. For those who ask for it and mean it, God the Holy Spirit will guide them into all truth (John 16:13), thereby keeping them safe from false teachings, wrong doctrines, and from the harm these bring. We will carry on from here in the next article, and see the other aspects mentioned in 1 Peter 2:1-2 about learning God’s Word from the Holy Spirit.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 के आत्मिक वरदान की समझ - भाग - 2

पिछले लेख में हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों को देखना आरंभ किया था। यहाँ दिए गए 9 विभिन्न वरदानों: “बुद्धि का बातें”; “ज्ञान की बातें”; “विश्वास”; “चंगा करने का वरदान”; “सामर्थ्य के काम करने की शक्ति”; “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”; “आत्माओं की परख”; “अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”; “भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना” में से हमने पहले पाँच के बारे में देखा था। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा के सभी वरदान किसी के निज प्रयोग अथवा लाभ के लिए नहीं हैं, वरन, सभी के लिए और मसीही विश्वासियों की मण्डली की उन्नति और लाभ के लिए हैं। जिसे भी उसकी सेवकाई के लिए जो भी वरदान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया है, उसे वह वरदान पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, सभी मसीही विश्वासियों के लाभ के लिए प्रयोग करना है, अपने लिए नहीं।

आज हम शेष चार वरदानों के बारे में कुछ विवरण देखेंगे:

• “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”: मूल यूनानी भाषा के जिस शब्द का अनुवाद “भविष्यवाणी” किया गया है, उसका शब्दार्थ न केवल भविष्य की बातें बताना होता है, वरन प्रेरित होकर औरों के सामने बोलना या बताना भी होता है। 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:3 में इसी शब्द को “”... मनुष्यों से उन्नति, और उपदेश, और शान्‍ति की बातें” कहने के लिए भी प्रयोग किया गया है, और लूका 22:64 में, जब पकड़वाए जाने के बाद सैनिकों द्वारा प्रभु का उपहास किया जा रहा था, तब “बूझने” या “पता लगाकर बताने” के लिए भी हुआ है। इसी प्रकार से इस शब्द को विभिन्न स्थानों में उसके भिन्न अर्थों के साथ उपयोग किया गया है। पवित्र आत्मा न केवल कुछ लोगों को भविष्य की बातें बताने की सामर्थ्य देता है (प्रेरितों 21:9-11), वरन कुछ लोगों को परमेश्वर की बातें औरों के सामने बोलने की भी सामर्थ्य देता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; प्रकाशितवाक्य 11:3)। इसलिए “भविष्यवाणी” का वरदान न केवल भविष्य की बातन बताने की सामर्थ्य है, वरन परमेश्वर का प्रतिनिधि बनकर लोगों के सामने परमेश्वर के वचन का प्रचार करना और सिखाना भी है।

• “आत्माओं की परख”: पहली कलीसिया की स्थापना, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा सुसमाचार प्रचार के आरंभ होने के साथ ही शैतान की ओर से झूठे प्रचारक (1 यूहन्ना 2:18; 4:1), प्रभु यीशु के नाम से प्रचार को कमाई का साधन बना कर प्रयोग करने वाले (रोमियों 16:18; फिलिप्पियों 3:18, 19), और गलत शिक्षाओं के देने वाले (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:2; 2 पतरस 2:1; 2 यूहन्ना 1:7) भी मण्डलियों और लोगों में फैलने लगे थे, अपने कार्य के द्वारा लोगों को बहकाने लगे थे। उस समय में, जब आज के समान लिखित वचन लोगों के हाथ में नहीं था, अधिकांशतः मसीही जीवन की शिक्षाएं, सुसमाचार प्रचार, और प्रभु की बातों का प्रसार, मौखिक प्रचार और संबोधनों के द्वारा होता था। ऐसे में, इन शैतान के लोगों के झूठ और गलत शिक्षाओं को तुरंत ही परखने और प्रकट करने के लिए, वचन को जानने, जाँचने, और सच को उजागर करने की शक्ति पवित्र आत्मा लोगों को देता था, जिससे वे झूठ को प्रकट कर के लोगों को गलत शिक्षाओं से बचा सकें (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29)। यह कार्य आज भी पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य से कुछ लोग विभिन्न माध्यमों के द्वारा करते रहते हैं, अन्यथा गलत शिक्षाओं की भरमार में मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए सत्य की पहचान करना बहुत कठिन हो जाएगा।   

• “अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”: प्रेरितों 2:4-11 से यह प्रकट है कि जिन “अन्य भाषाओं” का उल्लेख किया गया है वे पृथ्वी की ही, और विभिन्न भौगोलिक क्षेत्रों के लोगों द्वारा बोली जाने वाली भाषाएं थीं, न कि अलौकिक या पृथ्वी के बाहर की भाषाएं, जैसा पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाएं देने वाले दावा करते हैं। यह बात 1 कुरिन्थियों 14 अध्याय के अध्ययन से और अधिक स्पष्ट एवं दृढ़ हो जाती है। उस समय प्रभु के शिष्यों और प्रेरितों को तुरंत ही संसार भर में जाकर सुसमाचार बताने की आवश्यकता थी; किन्तु प्रभु के अनुयायी सभी इस्राएल से थे, अपनी स्थानीय भाषा बोलने वाले थे, और अधिकांशतः तो बहुत कम शिक्षा पाए हुए या अनपढ़ भी थे। इस बात का सुसमाचार प्रचार में बाधा बनने के समाधान के लिए पवित्र आत्मा ने उन शिष्यों को अनेकों प्रकार की भाषाएं बोलने का वरदान भी दे दिया, जिससे वे उस भाषा के अनुसार अलग-अलग इलाकों में जाकर प्रचार कर सकें। यह उस समय की तात्कालिक आवश्यकता थी, जिसका समाधान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया, और यह 1 कुरिन्थियों 14 अध्याय में और स्पष्ट भी हो जाता है। साथ ही पवित्र आत्मा ने यह भी लिखवा दिया कि यह वरदान स्थाई नहीं है, वरन एक समय पर समाप्त हो जाएगा क्योंकि तब इसकी आवश्यकता नहीं रहेगी (1 कुरिन्थियों 13:8), हर स्थान पर हर भाषा में सुसमाचार देने वाले लोग खड़े हो जाएंगे। किन्तु इस वरदान की गलत समझ, व्याख्या, और शिक्षाओं के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाएं देने वालों ने बहुतेरों को बहका रखा है, भ्रम में डाल रखा है। 

इसीलिए अन्य भाषा बोलने का वरदान भी सभी की भलाई, सभी की उपयोगिता, और मण्डली की उन्नति के लिए है; किसी के द्वारा व्यक्तिगत प्रयोग या अपने आप को विशेष सामर्थ्य पाया हुआ दिखाने के लिए नहीं। इस वरदान को व्यक्तिगत उपयोग के लिए बताना या प्रयोग करना, वचन के अनुसार नहीं है, इस वरदान तथा परमेश्वर के वचन का दुरुपयोग है। और जो यह करते हैं, वे वास्तव में कोई भाषा भी नहीं बोलते हैं; वे तो एक उन्माद की स्थित में होकर मुँह से कुछ समझ में न आने वाली आवाज़ें बारंबार निकालते चले जाते हैं। क्योंकि उनकी बात और उच्चारण किसी को समझ में नहीं आते हैं इसलिए वे यह दावा करते हैं कि वे एक “स्वर्गीय” भाषा बोल रहे हैं।  

• “भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना”: जिस प्रकार संसार के सभी स्थानों में जाकर वहाँ की भाषा में सुसमाचार प्रचार करने वालों की आवश्यकता थी, उसी प्रकार से मण्डलियों में ऐसे लोगों की भी आवश्यकता थी जो दु-भाषिये का कार्य कर सकें। अर्थात यदि कोई भिन्न भाषा बोलने वाला प्रचारक किसी मण्डली में आए, तो उसकी बात को स्थानीय भाषा में अनुवाद कर के स्थानीय लोगों को लाभान्वित कर सकें। इसीलिए पवित्र आत्मा ने लिखवाया है कि प्रचारक को किसी नए स्थान पर जाने के बाद पहले यह पता कर लेना चाहिए कि उसकी बात का स्थानीय भाषा में अनुवाद करने वाला कोई है कि नहीं; यदि नहीं है तो फिर उसे शांत रहना चाहिए, नाहक प्रचार नहीं करना चाहिए (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:27-28)।

यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि वचन की सही समझ और शिक्षा में दृढ़ और स्थापित हों, तथा गलत शिक्षाओं के बहकावे में न आएं; वरन गलत शिक्षाओं को औरों के सामने प्रकट करें और लोगों को उनसे सावधान रहने, बच कर रहने के बारे में समझाएं। इन अंत के दिनों में जिस तेज़ी से चिह्न-चमत्कारों आदि के द्वारा गलत शिक्षाएं फैलाई जा रही हैं, उसका सामना करने, लोगों को झूठी बातों में फँसने और बहकाए जाने से बचाने के लिए सभी मसीही विश्वासियों को वचन की सही समझ रखने और उसका सही उपयोग करना सिखाने की बहुत आवश्यकता है। प्रभु से प्रार्थना कीजिए, उससे माँगिए कि वह आपको अपने लिए उपयोग करे कि आप झूठ और गलत शिक्षाओं को प्रकट कर सकें, उन्हें उजागर कर सकें, और लोगों को गलत बातों में फंस कर अनन्त विनाश में जाने से बचा सकें।

 यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Understanding the Gifts of the Holy Spirit of 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 - Part 2

From the previous article we had started to see about the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. Of the 9 different gifts, “word of wisdom,” “word of knowledge,” “faith,” “healing,” “miracles,” “prophecy,” “discerning of spirits,” “different kinds of tongues,” and “interpretation of tongues” mentioned in these 5 verses, we had seen about the first 5. We had also seen that none of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for any person’s personal use or benefit; rather, all the gifts are meant for the help and benefit of everyone in the Church. Whichever gift anyone has received for their God assigned work and ministry, he has to use that gift under the guidance of God the Holy Spirit, for the benefit of the Christian Believers, not for himself alone.

Today we will see about the remaining four gifts:

• “Prophecy”: The word used in the original Greek language, that has been has translated as “prophecy” means “to speak forth” - not only in time, i.e., tell about future events or things, but also to be inspired to speak before others, or tell others. The same word has been used in 1 Corinthians 14:3 “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” to convey that to prophecy also means to edify, exhort, and comfort others; and not only to tell about future things. Similarly, in Luke 22:64, when the soldiers were mocking the Lord Jesus caught for crucifixion, the same word has been used "Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?" with the meaning of telling about an ongoing event. At other places too, in the Bible, this word has been used in its various meanings. The Holy Spirit not only gives the power to tell about the future events to some people (Acts 21:9-11), but also gives the power and ability to speak the things of God before others (1 Corinthians 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; Revelation 11:3), and for all these, the same word has been used. So, the gift of “prophecy” is not just the gift of foretelling events, but also the gift of speaking and preaching God’s Word as the spokesman of God, before others.

• “Discerning of spirits”: Along with the establishing of the first Church, and the beginning of the preaching of the gospel by the Lord’s disciples at various places, false preachers and teachers from Satan too started their work (1 John 2:18; 4:1), those who preach wrong doctrines and false teachings started to grow and spread (2 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Peter 2:1; 2 John 1:7), and people started to use the name of the Lord Jesus and preaching in His name as a means of earning money (Romans 16:18; Philippians 3:18, 19), and through all these and other similar things started to mislead and beguile people into wrong ways. At that time, when, unlike today, the people did not have the written Word in their hands, and usually all preaching about Christian Living, preaching the Gospel, and spreading the teachings of the Lord was done through oral preaching and addressing people. In such a situation, the Holy Spirit gave the ability to some people to immediately recognize the lies and false teachings of Satan and expose them to others. The Holy Spirit also gave the power and ability to know, examine, and teach God’s Word and to expose the false teachings, so that they could expose the lies and save others from wrong teachings and false doctrines (1 Corinthians 14:29). This work is done even today by some people under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit; else in the rampant spread of the wrong doctrines and false teachings amongst Christian Believers today, it would become very difficult to discern the truth.

• “Different kinds of tongues”: From Acts 2:4-11 it is apparent that the “tongues” or other languages that has been spoken of were known, recognized, named, and spoken earthly languages of different geographical regions. They were not any “out of the world” or “heavenly” languages, as those who preach and teach wrong things in the name of the Holy Spirit claim. This becomes all the more clear and established form 1 Corinthians 14. At that time, the disciples of the Lord Jesus had to spread out into the world and preach the gospel to all people; but the disciples were all from Israel, spoke their local language, and most of them were either poorly educated or uneducated. So that this does not become a limiting factor in the preaching and spread of the Gospel, therefore, the Holy Spirit gave the then disciples the remedy to the situation - the miraculous ability to speak in other languages without having to wait to learn them, so that they could immediately go to various geographical areas and preach the gospel unhindered by language. This was an immediate need of the situation, and it was taken care of by the Holy Spirit, and this becomes clear in 1 Corinthians 14. Moreover, God the Holy Spirit also had it written down that this gift was not for all times, but aftet some time it will be taken away because by that time it will no longer be needed (1 Corinthians 13:8), at every place, in every language people would come up who can preach the gospel in the local language. But, by misinterpreting the teachings about this gift and misusing this gift itself, those who preach wrong doctrines and teach false teachings have created a lot of confusion and have beguiled and led astray many people.

The gift of being able to speak in other languages is also for the growth and benefit of the Church and other Christian Believers, and not for the use and benefit of any person. Therefore, no one can claim to be someone extra-special or extra-ordinary, specially blessed by God because of having this gift. Doing so is a misuse of this gift and God’s Word; and those who do this actually do not speak any language, but just repetitively utter a few unintelligible sounds in an ecstatic state. Since what they are saying is not understood by anyone, they claim that they are speaking some “heavenly” language.

• “Interpretation of tongues”: At that time, just as it was required that there be people who will be able to go to various places and preach the gospel in the local language, similarly it was required in the Church that there be bi-lingual or multi-lingual people, who would be able to translate for someone coming from another language speaking area, so that if an outside preacher comes, then the local people can benefit from what he has to say. It is for this reason that the Holy Spirit had it written down that if a preacher goes to a new area, he should first find out if there is someone who can translate for him into the local language; if there is nobody, then he should stay silent instead of unnecessarily preaching when no one can understand what he is saying (1 Corinthians 14:27-28).

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is essential for you to be firmly rooted and established in the correct understanding and teachings of God’s Word. You should not get carried away by the attractive, emphatic, and impressive presentations of wrong doctrines and false teachings. Rather you should expose these wrong things before others and caution the people against getting misled by these wrong things. In these last days wrong doctrines and false teachings are being preached, taught, and spread very rapidly, specially through signs and wonders. It is essential for every Christian Believer to learn from God’s Word the truth about these things, stay safe themselves and keep others safe as well, and teach the correct doctrines and teachings from the Word of God. Pray about this to the Lord and ask Him to use you to counter and expose the wrong doctrines and teachings, to help people come out of and stay away from these seemingly attractive, alluring, and dramatic teachings, which actually are destructive and lead people astray into condemnation.

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, a child of God, entitled to a place in heaven, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start learning, understanding, and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि मसीही सेवकाई में, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपने कार्य और सामर्थ्य को प्रभु यीशु के शिष्यों, अर्थात मसीही विश्वासियों में होकर करता है, और उनमें होकर संसार के लोगों के समक्ष मसीही जीवन के उदाहरण तथा वचन की शिक्षाओं को प्रत्यक्ष करता है। इस प्रकार से परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा मसीही विश्वासी यानि कि प्रभु यीशु के शिष्य बनने वालों के जीवन, व्यवहार, और विचारधारा में, मसीही विश्वास में आने के बाद आए परिवर्तन का प्रत्यक्ष एवं व्यावहारिक प्रमाण प्रदान करता है। साथ ही यह प्रत्यक्ष एवं व्यावहारिक प्रमाण औरों को भी प्रभावित एवं प्रोत्साहित करता है कि जैसा औरों के जीवन में हुआ है, वैसे ही उनके जीवन में भी हो। यूहन्ना 16:8 में पवित्र आत्मा ने तीन बातें लिखवाई हैं, जिनके विषय वह प्रभु यीशु के शिष्यों में होकर संसार को दोषी ठहराता, या कायल करता है। ये तीन बातें हैं - पाप, धार्मिकता, और न्याय। और फिर पद 9, 10, और 11 में इन तीनों के विषय टिप्पणी दी है। इनमें से पहली दो बातें, पाप तथा धार्मिकता के विषय कायल करना को हम यूहन्ना 16:9, 10 से पिछले दो लेखों में देख चुके हैं। आज हम तीसरी बात, न्याय के लिए कायल करने के विषय हम यूहन्ना 16:11 “न्याय के विषय में इसलिये कि संसार का सरदार दोषी ठहराया गया है” से कुछ शिक्षाएं लेंगे।

मूल यूनानी भाषा के जिस शब्द का अनुवाद यहाँ ‘न्याय’ किया गया है, उसका अर्थ होता है ‘पहचान करना’ या ‘निर्णय लेना’। जिससे ‘न्याय’ शब्द का सामान्य अभिप्राय, वैधानिक या कानूनी न्याय करना, यानि कि उनके अपराधों के लिए लोगों को दोषी ठहराना और दण्ड देना ध्यान में आता है। किन्तु इस शब्द का केवल यही - दोषी ठहराना और दण्ड देना ही एकमात्र अभिप्राय और प्रयोग नहीं है। इस शब्द का प्रयोग और अर्थ सही पहचान करने, परिस्थितियों का सही विश्लेषण करने, या व्यक्तियों का सही आँकलन करने और उनके विषय सही निर्णय करने, आदि के लिए भी किया जाता है। यूहन्ना 16:11 में पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा करवाए गए ‘न्याय’ और “संसार का सरदार” अर्थात शैतान के ‘न्याय’ के मध्य एक तुलना (contrast) रखी गई है। अर्थात, दोनों के ‘न्याय’ करने, यानि कि सही निर्णय देने, या सही पहचान, अथवा आँकलन करने में भिन्नता है। और परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, मसीही विश्वासियों में होकर बिलकुल सटीक, सही, और पक्षपात रहित न्याय, उचित व्यवहार, या निर्णय करवाने के द्वारा, ऐसे उदाहरण प्रस्तुत करेगा जो संसार के लोगों द्वारा सांसारिक विचार और व्यवहार के अनुसार, “संसार के सरदार” के प्रभाव में होकर किए जाने वाले अनुचित एवं अपूर्ण न्याय, या निर्णय के बारे में उनको दोषी ठहराएंगे।

 

एकमात्र सच्चे और जीवते प्रभु परमेश्वर का न्याय सदा सच्चा, खरा, और पक्षपात रहित होता है। परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से इसके विषय दो प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले हवाले देखिए; एक पुराने नियम में से और दूसरा नए नियम में से:

परमेश्वर का भय मानने वाले, तथा परमेश्वर के भय में होकर राज्य करने वाले यहूदा के राजा यहोशापात ने अपने प्रजा के ऊपर जब न्यायी ठहराए: “फिर उसने यहूदा के एक एक गढ़ वाले नगर में न्यायी ठहराया। और उसने न्यायियों से कहा, सोचो कि क्या करते हो, क्योंकि तुम जो न्याय करोगे, वह मनुष्य के लिये नहीं, यहोवा के लिये करोगे; और वह न्याय करते समय तुम्हारे साथ रहेगा। अब यहोवा का भय तुम में बना रहे; चौकसी से काम करना, क्योंकि हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा में कुछ कुटिलता नहीं है, और न वह किसी का पक्ष करता और न घूस लेता है” (2 इतिहास 19:5-7)।

प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अपने समय के धर्म के अगुवों को उनके व्यवहार और ‘न्याय’ के विषय उलाहना देते हुए, उन ‘धार्मिक’ लोगों से अपने विषय में कहा, “मैं अपने आप से कुछ नहीं कर सकता; जैसा सुनता हूं, वैसा न्याय करता हूं, और मेरा न्याय सच्चा है; क्योंकि मैं अपनी इच्छा नहीं, परन्तु अपने भेजने वाले की इच्छा चाहता हूं” (यूहन्ना 5:30); और “मुंह देखकर न्याय न चुकाओ, परन्तु ठीक ठीक न्याय चुकाओ” (यूहन्ना 7:24)।

निष्कर्ष यह कि मसीही विश्वास में आने के द्वारा व्यक्ति के मन, जीवन, विचार, और व्यवहार में जो परिवर्तन आता है, वह उसे परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की अधीनता में खरा और सच्चा न्याय करने, या जाँच-परख करने, या सही आँकलन करके पक्षपात रहित निर्णय करने वाला बना देता है। उसका यह बदला हुआ व्यवहार, उसमें परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति का प्रमाण है। साथ ही उसका इस प्रकार का जीवन, पाप और पापमय प्रवृत्तियों तथा विचारधाराओं में रहने वाले, “संसार के सरदार” के प्रभाव में होकर कार्य करने वाले लोगों के समक्ष एक तुलना (contrast) रखता है, और उन्हें उनके अनुचित न्याय, व्यवहार, और विचार के लिए दोषी ठहराता है। 

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो यूहन्ना 16:11 के समक्ष आपका जीवन कैसा है? यदि आप अभी इस पद के समक्ष अपने आप को दोषी पाते हैं, तो फिर आपको 2 कुरिन्थियों 13:5 के अनुसार अपने आप को और अपने मसीही विश्वास में होने के दावे का पुनः अवलोकन करने, अपने मसीही विश्वासी होने की समीक्षा करने की आवश्यकता है। मसीही विश्वासी होने के नाते, आप में विद्यमान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा आपको संसार के लोगों के समान अनुचित न्याय नहीं करने देगा।  आप जब भी ऐसा करेंगे, वह आपके जीवन में खलबली उत्पन्न करेगा, आपके जीवन में तब तक बेचैनी रहेगी जब तक आप अपने इस गलत व्यवहार को सही नहीं कर लेंगे। और यदि आप फिर भी ढिठाई में ऐसे व्यवहार में बने रहेंगे, जो एक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए सही नहीं है, तो आपको ताड़ना में से भी होकर निकलना पड़ेगा, जिससे आप सुधारे जा सकें (इब्रानियों 12:5-11)।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो थोड़ा थम कर विचार कीजिए, क्या मसीही विश्वास के अतिरिक्त आपको कहीं और यह अद्भुत और विलक्षण आशीषों से भरा सौभाग्य प्राप्त होगा, कि स्वयं परमेश्वर आप में आ कर सर्वदा के लिए निवास करे; आपको धर्मी बनाए; आपको अपना वचन सिखाए; और आपको शैतान की युक्तियों और हमलों से सुरक्षित रखने के सभी प्रयोजन करके दे? और फिर, आप में होकर अपने आप को तथा अपनी धार्मिकता को औरों पर प्रकट करे, आपको खरा आँकलन करने और सच्चा न्याय करने वाला बनाए; तथा आप में होकर पाप में भटके लोगों को उद्धार और अनन्त जीवन प्रदान करने के अपने अद्भुत कार्य करे, जिससे अंततः आपको ही अपनी ईश्वरीय आशीषों से भर सके? इसलिए अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करके, उनके लिए प्रभु से क्षमा माँगकर, अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आप अपने पापों के अंगीकार और पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से समर्पण की प्रार्थना कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए मेरे सभी पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” प्रभु की शिष्यता तथा मन परिवर्तन के लिए सच्चे पश्चाताप और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Holy Spirit Convicts of Judgment - John 16:11

We have seen in the previous articles that in Christian ministry, the Holy Spirit does His works and demonstrates His power through the disciples of the Lord Jesus, i.e., through the Born-Again Christian Believers. The Holy Spirit, through the Christian Believers, places before the people of the world the examples of Christian living and teachings from God’s Word. In this manner, God the Holy Spirit, through the changes that happen in the lives, thinking, and behavior of those who decide to become the disciples of the Lord Jesus, presents an evident, practical example of the change of heart and mind through the Christian Faith. This practical example also serves to influence and attract the others to experience the same changes in their lives as well.  In John 16:8, the Holy Spirit had recorded three things regarding which He convicts the world. These three are - sin, righteousness, and judgment; and then in verses 9, 10, and 11 He adds comments to each of these three. Of these three, we have already seen from John 16:9, 10 about convicting for sin and righteousness. Today we will consider the third, i.e., judgment from John 16:11 “of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged” and draw some lessons from it.

The word translated as “judgment” in the original Greek language means “to discern” or “to decide” about something. From this the generally understood meaning of the word “judge” is derived, to legally or constitutionally judge, i.e., to hold people guilty for their offences and take punitive action for the offences. But this - to hold guilty and punish, is not the only use or meaning of this word. This word is also used with the meaning of coming to the right understanding, to correctly analyze or discern the situations, or to correctly assess people and come to right conclusions about them, etc. In John 16:11 the Holy Spirit has placed a contrast between “judgment” and the judgement of the “ruler of this world”, implying that there is a difference in the two ‘judgments’ or in giving the correct decision or in giving the true identification or analysis. God the Holy Spirit, through the Christian Believers, places such examples of absolutely correct, just, impartial, and appropriate behavior and decisions before the people of this world, which will expose the unjust, inappropriate, incomplete, and wrong judgments made under the influence of the “ruler of this world”, by the people of this world, and thereby convict them. 

The judgment of the one and only true and living Lord God is always honest, correct, and impartial. Consider two representative examples form God’s Word the Bible about this fact, one from the Old Testament and the other from the New Testament:

King Jehoshaphat, who lived and ruled in the fear of God, he placed judges over his people: “Then he set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city, and said to the judges, "Take heed to what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgment. Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes."” (2 Chronicles 19:5-7).

The Lord Jesus, admonishing the religious leaders for their behavior and “judgments”, said to these “religious” and “pious” elders of the community, about Himself “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me” (John 5:30), and their standards of judgement, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:24).

The conclusion is that the change that comes into the life, thinking, mentality, and behavior, of a person after coming into the Christian Faith, that guides him under the Holy Spirit to judge honestly, justly, impartially, and correctly, after properly evaluating and correctly discerning the facts. This changed behavior is a proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit in him. Moreover, his this behavior presents a contrast to the people living in sin, sinful desires and tendencies, and working under the influence and control of the “ruler of this world”, and convicts them for their unjust judgments, and inappropriate behavior of being unfair, and showing partiality.

If you are a Christian Believer, then in the face of John 16:10, what is your life like? If you find yourself guilty before this verse, then according to 2 Corinthians 13:5, you need to review your life and reaffirm whether you really are in the Christian Faith or not? If you are a Christian Believer, then the Holy Spirit of God residing within you, will never permit you to judge unjustly, as the people of the world do. Whenever you do it, He will create an uneasiness, a turmoil in your life, which will remain till you have set things right. But if you persist in your stubbornness, which is never the right thing for a Christian Believer to do, then for correction you may have to pass through chastisement also (Hebrews 12:5-11).

If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start understanding and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
