पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाएँ - पुनःअवलोकन 

    हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा है कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं (इफिसियों 4:14)। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त बातें भी डली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है।

    पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, पहले तो प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखा; फिर उसके बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखा है, जो संक्षिप्त में निम्नलिखित थीं: 

    * प्रत्येक सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी के नया जन्म या उद्धार पाते ही, तुरंत उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपनी संपूर्णता में आकर उसके अंदर निवास करने लगता है, और उसी में बना रहता है, उसे कभी छोड़ कर नहीं जाता है; 

    * और बाइबल के अनुसार, इसी को पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाना भी कहते हैं। 

    * वचन स्पष्ट है कि पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या उससे बपतिस्मा पाना कोई दूसरा या अतिरिक्त अनुभव नहीं है, वरन उद्धार के साथ ही सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी में पवित्र आत्मा का आकर निवास करना ही है। 

    * प्रेरितों 2 अध्याय में जो अन्य भाषाएं बोली गईं, वे पृथ्वी ही की भाषाएं और उन भाषाओं के कुछ भिन्न स्वरूप, अर्थात बोलियाँ थीं; कोई अलौकिक भाषा नहीं।

    * उन लोगों के द्वारा “अन्य-भाषाओं” को अलौकिक भाषाएं बताना, और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग के द्वारा इससे संबंधित कई और गलत शिक्षाओं को सिखाने के बारे में भी हम देख चुके हैं कि यह भी एक ऐसी गलत शिक्षा है जिसका वचन से कोई समर्थन या आधार नहीं है। 

    * हमने यह भी देखा था कि वचन में इस शिक्षा का भी कोई आधार या समर्थन नहीं है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” प्रार्थना की भाषाएं हैं। 

    * हमने यह भी देखा था कि उन लोगों के सभी दावों के विपरीत, 

        ** न तो प्रेरितों 2:3-11 में प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा अन्य-भाषाओं में बोलना कोई “सुनने” का आश्चर्यकर्म था, 

        ** न ही अन्य भाषाएं प्रार्थना करने की गुप्त भाषाएँ हैं, ताकि हमारी प्रार्थनाएँ शैतानी शक्तियों से गुप्त रहें, 

        ** और न ही ये पृथ्वी के अन्य स्थानों की भाषाएं किसी को भी यूं ही दे दी जाती हैं, जब तक कि व्यक्ति की उस स्थान पर सेवकाई न हो, जहाँ की भाषा बोलने की सामर्थ्य उसे प्रदान की गई है।  

    * हमने यह भी देखा है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” बोलना ही पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने का प्रमाण नहीं है; और यह कहना, परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग पर आधारित है, झूठ है। 

    * व्यक्ति “अन्य-भाषा” बोलने के द्वारा सीधे परमेश्वर से बात करता है, इसके तथा कुछ संबंधित और बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बातों के बारे में हम देख चुके हैं कि उनका यह दावा भी वचन की कसौटी पर बिलकुल गलत है, अस्वीकार्य है।

    यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।

    यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

A Review of Wrong Teachings About the Holy Spirit

    We have seen in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! In this verse a very important way to identify the false and the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.

    In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, we had started to look into the wrong things often taught and preached about the Holy Spirit. Briefly stated, the Biblical teachings about the Holy Spirit, that we have seen are:

    * Every truly Born-Again Christian Believer automatically receives the Holy Spirit from God, at the very moment of his being saved. From that moment onwards, the Holy Spirit comes to reside in him in all His fullness, stays with him forever, never leaves him.

    * Biblically this is also known as being filled by the Holy Spirit or, the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. 

    * God’s Word is very clear that being filled with the Holy Spirit is not ‘another’ or a ‘second experience’; rather it is the same as the Holy Spirit coming to reside in a Christian Believer on being saved.

    * The speaking in “tongues” in Acts 2 were the known and understood languages and their dialects, of the earth; and not any super-natural languages.

    * Their claim that the “tongues’ are super-natural languages, and some other related wrong teachings also have no support or affirmation from the Bible.  

    * We have also seen that quite unlike their claims, “tongues” are not a “prayer language” for effective prayers.

    * We also saw that, contrary to their emphatic claims,

        ** The speaking in “tongues” by the Lord’s disciples, given in Acts 2:3-11, was not a miracle of “hearing”,

           ** Nor are “tongues” a so-called ‘secret language’ to keep our prayers safe from satanic forces,

        ** Nor are they unknown languages of some other regions of the earth, granted to the Believer; unless the Believer has a ministry in that region.

    * Speaking in “tongues” is not a proof of receiving the Holy Spirit - the Bible does not offer any affirmation or support to this; and making this absolutely false claim is based on misinterpreting and misusing God's Word. 

    * We have also seen that the assertion and its related claims are also patently false and unBiblical, that by speaking in “tongues” a person starts communicating with God directly. 

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि यदि मसीही विश्वासियों तथा कलीसियाओं में, प्रभु के द्वारा नियुक्त सेवकों के द्वारा वचन की सही सेवकाई नहीं की जाती है, तो उनमें आत्मिक कुपोषण आ जाता है। इस आत्मिक कुपोषण के कारण वे आत्मिक रीति से दुर्बल रह जाते हैं और उनकी आत्मिक बढ़ोतरी ठीक और अपेक्षित नहीं होती है। फिर, इस अपरिपक्वता के कारण इफिसियों 4:11 में दी गई चारों हानिकारक बातें उनमें घर कर जाती हैं, और उनकी आत्मिक बढ़ोतरी को और भी अधिक बाधित कर देती हैं। पिछले लेख में हमने इस आत्मिक कुपोषण और अपरिपक्वता के कुछ लक्षण 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:1-4 से देखे थे। आज हम बाइबल में दिए गए एक दूसरे स्थान पर इसी आत्मिक कुपोषण और अपरिपक्वता के कुछ और लक्षणों को देखेंगे। 

2. इस के विषय में हमें बहुत सी बातें कहनी हैं, जिन का समझना भी कठिन है; इसलिये कि तुम ऊंचा सुनने लगे हो। समय के विचार से तो तुम्हें गुरु हो जाना चाहिए था, तौभी क्या यह आवश्यक है, कि कोई तुम्हें परमेश्वर के वचनों की आदि शिक्षा फिर से सिखाए ओर ऐसे हो गए हो, कि तुम्हें अन्न के बदले अब तक दूध ही चाहिए। क्योंकि दूध पीने वाले बच्‍चे को तो धर्म के वचन की पहचान नहीं होती, क्योंकि वह बालक है। पर अन्न सयानों के लिये है, जिन के ज्ञानेन्‍द्रिय अभ्यास करते करते, भले बुरे में भेद करने के लिये पक्के हो गए हैं। (इब्रानियों 5:11-14)।

यहाँ पर दिए गए अपरिपक्वता के लक्षण हैं:

* उनमें वचन की बातों और शिक्षाओं को सुनने और सीखने में रुचि नहीं होती है; वे उन बातों को “ऊँचा सुनते” हैं।

* उनकी आत्मिक दशा, आत्मिक परिपक्वता, बाइबल की शिक्षाओं और बातों की समझ, आदि, उनके मसीही विश्वास में आने की अवधि के अनुपात में नहीं देखी जाती है।

* उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन की आदि शिक्षाओं, मसीही विश्वास की आधारभूत बातों का ही बोध नहीं रहता है। वे उन बातों को भूल गए हैं, उन्हें उन बातों को फिर से सिखाने की आवश्यकता होती है।

* वे केवल बिलकुल आरंभिक शिक्षाएं ही समझ और ग्रहण करने पाते हैं; ठोस या गूढ़ शिक्षाओं को समझ पाना या उनका पालन करना उनके लिए संभव नहीं होता है।

* उन्हें “धर्म के वचन” की पहचान नहीं होती है; एक प्रकार से यह इफिसियों 4:14 में लिखे “हर एक बयार से उछाले, और इधर-उधर घुमाए जाते हों” का दोहराया जाना है। वचन की सही पहचान न होने के कारण, वे जाँचे और समझे बिना ही हर प्रकार की शिक्षाओं को स्वीकार कर लेते हैं।

* वे आत्मिक बातों में भले और बुरे में अंतर पहचानने में अक्षम होते हैं।

आत्मिक बालक-अवस्था के उपरोक्त लक्षण प्रकट करते हैं कि मसीही विश्वासियों में भी अधिकांश लोग अभी इस बालक-अवस्था से ऊपर नहीं बढ़ने पाए हैं। इसका कारण इब्रानियों 5:14 के मध्य भाग में दिया गया है: “...जिन के ज्ञानेन्‍द्रिय अभ्यास करते करते...”; ये लोग अपरिपक्व या बालक इसलिए हैं क्योंकि ये मसीही जीवन और उसमें बढ़ोतरी से संबंधित विभिन्न परिस्थितियों से होकर नहीं निकलते हैं। ये प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी होने, उसके लिए कुछ करने में रुचि नहीं रखते हैं; बस शिथिल और निष्क्रिय होकर प्रभु और उसकी आशीषों को अपने लिए प्रयोग करते रहते हैं। यदि ये उन आरंभिक मसीही विश्वासियों के समान प्रेरितों 2:42 की चारों बातों में लौलीन रहते, तो उन्हीं आरंभिक विश्वासियों के समान प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी भी होते, और मसीही जीवन के विभिन्न अनुभवों में से होकर निकलते हुए आत्मिक परिपक्वता में भी बढ़ते चले जाते हैं, और अनुभव से ही परमेश्वर की भली और भावती इच्छा को भी जानने पाते हैं (रोमियों 12:2)।

इस आत्मिक अपरिपक्वता के कारण ये लोग जिन बातों में शैतान द्वारा फँसा लिए जाते हैं, उन्हें हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। किन्तु यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो उपरोक्त 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:1-4 और इब्रानियों 5:11-14 के आधार पर अपनी आत्मिक परिपक्वता की स्थिति को पहचान लीजिए, और उसके अनुसार जो भी आवश्यक निर्णय हों, उन्हें लेकर अपने जीवन में कार्यान्वित कर लीजिए। आप जितना प्रभु के वचन और शिक्षाओं में बढ़ेंगे, जितना वचन और प्रभु के आज्ञाकारी रहेंगे, आप उतने अधिक परिपक्व और प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी और अपने लिए आशीषित होते चले जाएंगे।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Thinking and Behaving like a Child (2)

In the previous article we had seen that if amongst the Christian Believers and the churches, the ministry of God's Word is not done diligently and faithfully by the Lord appointed ministers, then there is a spiritual malnourishment. Because of this malnourishment they become spiritually weak and fail to grow adequately or properly. Therefore, the four harmful things given in Ephesians 4:11 settle down in them, further obstructing their spiritual growth. In the last article we had seen the signs of this spiritual malnourishment from 1 Corinthians 3:1-4. Today, we will see some more signs of this spiritual malnourishment and growth, from another place in the Bible.

2. of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:11-14).

The signs and indicators of immaturity and being child-like, given here are:

* They have no or very little interest in listening to spiritual things, they have “become dull of hearing.”

* Their spiritual condition, spiritual maturity, understanding and following of the things of the Bible, etc., is not in proportion to their time since they have come to the Christian Faith; they are lagging far behind.

* They do not have the knowledge or understanding of the initial principles of Christian life and Faith. They have forgotten them and have to be taught over and over again.

* They are able to comprehend only the very fundamental Christian teachings; it is difficult or impossible for them to understand or follow the “solid” or deep things.

* They are unable to understand and partake in “the word of righteousness”; this is like getting “tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine” of Ephesians 4:14. Not having a proper understanding of the teachings of God’s Word, they accept all kinds of teachings, without examining and evaluating them.

* They are unable to discern good or evil about spiritual things.

The above characteristics and signs of being children, or spiritually immature indicate that in Christendom and even amongst Christian Believers, most have not yet grown out of this child-like immaturity. The reason for this is given in the mid-part of Hebrews 5:14 “...who by reason of use have their senses exercised...” These people are immature or child-like because they have not gone through the various situations and circumstances related to Christian living and growth. They are not interested in doing anything for the Lord, for being used by Him. All they want is to be inactive, stay-put at a place, and keep begging for the Lord’s blessings and using them up for themselves. If they had been steadfastly involved in the four things of Acts 2:42, as the initial Christian Believers were, then like those Believers they too would have been useful for the Lord, and because of passing through various experiences and situations, as the initial ones had, would have grown in spiritual maturity too, and through their experiences would learn to know the perfect will of God for them (Romans 12:2).

Because of this spiritual immaturity, the way Satan traps them in various ways, we will see in the next article. But if you are a Christian Believer, then examine and evaluate your state of spiritual maturity through aforementioned 1 Corinthians 3:1-4 and Hebrews 5:11-14; take whatever appropriate decisions have to be taken, and implement them in your life. The more you grow in the Word and teachings of the Lord, the more obedient you are to His Word, the more mature and useful for the Lord you will be, and therefore that much more blessed.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

हम इस विषय को कि क्या कलीसिया पतरस पर बनाई गई है, तीन प्रश्नों के अन्तर्गत देख रहे हैं। पिछले लेख में हमने इन तीन में से दूसरे प्रश्न पर विचार करना आरम्भ किया था। पहले प्रश्न पर विचार करते समय हमने देखा था कि मत्ती 16:18 का विश्लेषण इस सामान्य धारणा को गलत प्रमाणित करता है कि कलीसिया पतरस पर बनाई जानी थी; इस पद में प्रभु ने ऐसा कुछ नहीं कहा, जिसका यह तात्पर्य निकाला जा सके। फिर हमने दूसरे प्रश्न पर विचार करना आरम्भ किया कि क्या बाइबल में कहीं पर कोई अन्य बात है जो इस धारणा को समर्थन देती है, इसकी पुष्टि करती है कि कलीसिया पटर्स पर बनाई जानी थी, और देखा कि परमेश्वर का वचन स्पष्ट इसका निषेध करता है कि किसी भी मनुष्य को यह महत्व दिया जा सकता है। आज हम इसी प्रश्न पर विचा ज़ारी रखेंगे, और बाइबल के कुछ अन्य तथ्यों को देखेंगे जो या बिल्कुल स्पष्ट कर देते हैं कि कलीसिया पतरस पर कभी बनाई ही नहीं जा सकती थी। 

पिछले लेख में हमने जो खण्ड देखा था, 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:1-7, उससे थोड़ा आगे चलकर, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात लिखवाता है, जिसकी, तथा उससे संबंधित एक अन्य पद की, अनदेखी और अवहेलना वे सभी लोग, जाने या अनजाने में करते हैं, जो यह मानते हैं कि पतरस ही प्रथम मण्डली का आधार था, मण्डली उसी पर बनाई गई थी। पौलुस ने पवित्र आत्मा के अगुवाई में लिखा, क्योंकि उस नींव को छोड़ जो पड़ी है, और वह यीशु मसीह है कोई दूसरी नींव नहीं डाल सकता (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:11)। इस पद के पहले भाग से यह बिलकुल स्पष्ट है कि कलीसिया की नींव या आधार पहले से तैयार और स्थापित है; और कोई भी, कभी भी, कैसे भी इसे बदल नहीं सकता है, इसके स्थान पर कुछ और नहीं ला सकता है। मध्य भाग बताता है कि वह पहले से तैयार और डाली गई नींव स्वयं प्रभु यीशु मसीह है; और अंतिम भाग बताता है कि यह स्थिर और दृढ़, अपरिवर्तनीय, अटल नींव कोई और नहीं, स्वयं प्रभु यीशु है। इसलिए यह कभी बदली नहीं जा सकती है, इसके स्थान पर कोई और नींव नहीं डाली जा सकती है।

इस संदर्भ में इस पद से संबंधित जिस दूसरे पद की अनदेखी और अवहेलना की जाती है, वह है और प्रेरितों और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की नींव पर जिसके कोने का पत्थर मसीह यीशु आप ही है, बनाए गए हो। जिस में सारी रचना एक साथ मिलकर प्रभु में एक पवित्र मन्दिर बनती जाती है (इफिसियों 2:20-21)। पद 20 भी यही बताता है कि कलीसिया की नींव, उसका आधार प्रेरितों और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं द्वारा जो बातें और शिक्षाएं प्रभु ने प्रदान की हैं, अर्थात परमेश्वर का वचन है - जो आदि से था, परमेश्वर का स्वरूप है, और जिसने प्रभु यीशु के रूप में देहधारी होकर हमारे साथ निवास किया (यूहन्ना 1:1, 2, 14)। साथ ही, इस 20 पद में “प्रेरितों और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं” के बहुवचन में प्रयोग पर ध्यान कीजिए। तात्पर्य यह है कि यह नींव, यह आधार, कोई एक व्यक्ति कदापि नहीं था; वरन प्रभु के वे अनेक प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता थे जिनमें होकर प्रभु का वचन लोगों तक पहुँचा; और पतरस निःसंदेह उनमें से एक था, किन्तु वही एकमात्र कदापि नहीं था, और न ही केवल उसके द्वारा दी गई शिक्षाओं को ही कलीसिया का आधार या नींव बनाया गया। एक बार फिर यह पतरस के एकमात्र आधार होने की धारणा को गलत ठहराता है। साथ ही 20 पद यह भी दिखाता है कि इन सभी प्रेरितों और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की शिक्षाओं को साथ और संगत रखने वाला वह “कोने का पत्थर”, जिससे सारी नींव एवं भवन-निर्माण की सिधाई और दिशा जाँची जाती है, स्थापित की जाती है, स्वयं प्रभु यीशु मसीह है। फिर 21 पद में लिखा है कि कलीसिया की यह सारी रचना साथ मिलकर “प्रभु में एक पवित्र मन्दिर बनती जाती है” - पतरस में नहीं, प्रभु में!

स्वयं पतरस भी उसके द्वारा लिखी गई पत्रियों में उसके कलीसिया का आधार होने की बात की पुष्टि करना तो दूर, ऐसा कोई संकेत भी नहीं देता है कि प्रभु ने उसे कलीसिया का आधार नियुक्त किया है, जिसके अनुसार वह इस दायित्व का निर्वाह कर रहा है। दोनों पत्रियों के आरंभ में उसने अपने आप को केवल प्रभु का प्रेरित कहा है, और दूसरी पत्री के आरंभ में प्रभु का दास भी कहा है, किन्तु कलीसिया का आधार होने को न तो कहीं कहा है और न ही इसका कोई संकेत दिया है।

प्रेरितों के काम के 15 अध्याय में भी जब यरूशलेम में मण्डलियों में फैलाई जा रही कुछ गलत शिक्षाओं के विषय चर्चा एवं निर्णय करने के लिए उस प्रारंभिक मण्डली के अगुवे एकत्रित हुए (प्रेरितों 15:6), और फिर प्रेरितों 15:7 में पतरस का नाम “बहुत वाद-विवाद के बाद” आया, और उसने किसी अधिकार के साथ नहीं वरन सभा के अन्य लोगों के समान एक सदस्य के रूप में अपना तर्क रखा। तथा फिर 12 पद से आगे लिखा है कि अन्य लोग भी अपने विचार रखने लगे; पतरस के तर्कों को अंतिम और निर्णायक नहीं मान लिया गया। फिर अन्ततः याकूब ने सारी चर्चा की समीक्षा प्रस्तुत की (प्रेरितों 15:13-21) और तब 22 पद में जाकर “प्रेरितों और प्राचीनों” के द्वारा सर्वसम्मति से निर्णय लिया गया। कहीं पर भी पतरस के किसी विशेष स्तर अथवा स्थान, या सभा को संचालित करने, अंतिम निर्णय लेने, आदि जैसी बातों का कोई उल्लेख नहीं है; जबकि यह व्यवहार कलीसिया के “आधार” या “मुख्य संचालक” से अपेक्षित है।

अर्थात परमेश्वर के वचन में कहीं पर भी इस बात का समर्थन नहीं है कि प्रभु ने कलीसिया को पतरस पर आधारित कर के बनाने की बात कही, जिसे फिर निभाया गया; और न ही प्रथम कलीसिया के अगुवों या लोगों ने कभी पतरस को कोई विशेष स्थान या पद दिया। अगले लेख में हम तीसरे प्रश्न को देखेंगे और विश्लेषण करेंगे कि क्या प्रभु “कलीसिया को पतरस पर बनाने” के योग्य समझ कर उसे यह दायित्व दे सकता था।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की आज्ञाकारिता एवं अधीनता में वचन की सच्चाइयों को उससे समझें; किसी के भी द्वारा कही गई कोई भी बात को तुरंत ही पूर्ण सत्य के रूप में स्वीकार न करें, विशेषकर तब, जब वह बात बाइबल की अन्य बातों के साथ ठीक मेल नहीं रखती हो।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

On Peter? - (4) - Built on the Lord & His Word

In the previous article we had begun to consider the second of the three questions we are looking at, about the notion that the Church was built on Peter. While considering the first question we had seen that contrary to popular belief, an analysis of Matthew 16:18, on the basis of which it is said that the Church was to be built on Peter, makes it clear that the Lord Jesus had not implied any such meaning in this verse. We then took up the second question in the previous article, about any other support or affirmation in the Bible of Peter being the one on which the Church was to be built, and saw that God's Word clearly forbids giving any such importance to any person. Today we will carry on looking at this question, and see some other Biblical facts that make it absolutely clear that the Church could never have been built on Peter. 

 

A little ahead of the passage we had seen in the last article, i.e.,1 Corinthians 3:1-7, the Holy Spirit had a very important thing written, which, all those who insist on saying that only Peter was the foundation of the first Church, knowingly or unknowingly ignore and overlook, along with another related verse about this. Paul, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit wrote For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11). The first part of this verse very clearly states that the foundation of the Assembly or the Church of the Lord Jesus is unchangeable, no one can ever alter it or substitute it with another. The middle part states that this foundation has been made ready and established from beforehand; and the last part of the verse that this firm, unalterable, established foundation is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Therefore, this foundation can never be changed, and no other foundation can ever be laid in its place.

In this context, there is another related verse, and that too is similarly ignored and overlooked by these people. That verse is having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner-stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord (Ephesians 2:20-21). Here it says that foundation are the “apostles and prophets” implying the teachings and Word received by them from God, i.e., the Word of God - which was eternally present, is a form of the Lord God, and which came to dwell on earth in bodily form as the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 2, 14). Also, take note that in verse 20 here, “apostles and prophets” has been stated in plural. This clearly shows that the foundation of the Church is not any single person, but the many apostles and prophets of God through whom the Word of God came to the people. Undoubtedly, Peter was one of those through whom God’s Word came to the people, but he was not the only one, nor only the teachings given by him were made the foundation. This once again negates the notion that Peter was the only foundation on which the Church was built. Another important thing mentioned in these verses is that along with the “apostles and prophets”, there is Jesus Christ Himself as the corner-stone, to maintain the correct direction and provide a reference point for the entire foundation as well as the super-structure - the building. Then verse 21 concludes that the whole building, the temple being joined together, grows “in the Lord”, and not in Peter!

Peter himself, in his letters, never affirms or even indicates that he has been appointed by the Lord to be the foundation of the Church, or that the Church will be built on him. At the beginning of both his letters he only called himself an apostle, and in the second letter even called himself a servant of the Lord, but never stated or indicated that he is the foundation of the Church or that the Church will be built on him.

In Acts15, when the elders and apostles gathered together (Acts 15:6) to discuss and decide upon the wrong doctrines and false teachings that were being preached amongst the Believers, we see that it was not Peter who was leading or directing the discussions; his name and turn came much later, after a lot of arguments had been done (Acts 15:7), and he presented his opinion not with any special authority, but as an ordinary member of that council. It is written in verse 12 that after him, others too expressed their opinions; Peter’s opinions were not immediately accepted as the final word. Then eventually after James had summarized the whole discussion (Acts 15:13-21), the final decision was taken collectively by the apostles and elders (Acts 15:22). At no place do we see any special status or position being given to Peter, nor did he conduct the proceedings, or take the final decision, as would have been expected from the “foundation” or the “governing authority” of the Church.

In other words, nowhere in the Word of God is there any support of any kind, whatsoever, about Peter being made the “foundation” of the Church, or of the Church ever being built on him by the Lord; nor did the elders and people of the first Church give any special place or position to Peter. In the next article we will consider the third question and analyze whether Peter was at all worthy of being considered of building the Church on him by the Lord.

If you are a Christian Believer, then you should learn to discern and understand the truths of God’s Word under the guidance and teaching of the Holy Spirit. Do not accept anything and everything as the truth unless and until you have cross-checked and verified it from the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit; more so when that thing does not seem to be consistent with the other related things of the Bible.

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि सम्पूर्ण मानवजाति का, परमेश्वर द्वारा किया जाने वाला न्याय अवश्यम्भावी है, न्यायी प्रभु यीशु मसीह होगा, और न्याय परमेश्वर के वचन में लिखे हुए के अनुसार किया जाएगा, और इस वचन को सँसार के लोगों को दे दिया गया है; तथा इस न्याय में मनुष्यों के बनाए हुए किसी नियम, किसी व्यवस्था, किसी प्रथा, किसी शिक्षा आदि का कोई स्थान नहीं होगा, और न ही किसी भी मनुष्य की कोई भूमिका होगी। इस लिए, जो इस न्याय के समय सुरक्षित रहना चाहते हैं, अभी उन के पास समय और अवसर है कि वे परमेश्वर के वचन के अध्ययन और उस के पालन के द्वारा अपने आप को तैयार कर लें, और अपने जीवनों में जो भी सुधार करने हैं, परमेश्वर के वचन के अनुसार जीवन जीने के लिए जो भी ठीक करना है, वह कर लें; न कि मनुष्यों के प्रचार और शिक्षाओं को सीखें और उन का पालन करें। फिर हम ने पिछले लेख के समापन में इस बात की ओर ध्यान किया था कि इब्रानियों 6:1-2 की अन्तिम आरम्भिक बात “अन्तिम न्याय” है। अर्थात, परमेश्वर का वचन केवल न्याय नहीं वरन उस न्याय का अन्तिम – हमेशा के लिए और अपरिवर्तनीय होने की भी बात कहता है। साथ ही हम ने इस न्याय के विषय लोगों द्वारा मानी जाने वाली कुछ धारणाओं का भी उल्लेख किया था; धारणाएं जो झूठी हैं, बाइबल के अनुसार सही नहीं हैं, जिनकी बाइबल से कोई पुष्टि नहीं है, कोई आधार नहीं है।

इस अध्ययन का विषय अन्त समय की, और, उस से सम्बन्धित बातों की व्याख्या और विश्लेषण करना नहीं है। हमारा वर्तमान विषय है कि परमेश्वर के वचन से देखें कि बाइबल यही सिखाती है कि उस न्याय के परिणाम अनन्त काल के लिए होंगे, कभी नहीं बदलेंगे; उन में कभी कोई सुधार या परिवर्तन नहीं किया जाएगा, कभी भी नहीं। इस से सम्बन्धित बाइबल के कुछ पदों पर विचार कीजिए:

• प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने लूका 16:19-31 में एक दृष्टान्त दिया है, जो धनी व्यक्ति तथा लाज़रस का दृष्टान्त कहा जाता है। इस दृष्टान्त में एक पद है जो हमारे विषय – न्याय अन्तिम, से सम्बन्धित है, “और इन सब बातों को छोड़ हमारे और तुम्हारे बीच एक भारी गड़हा ठहराया गया है कि जो यहां से उस पार तुम्हारे पास जाना चाहें, वे न जा सकें, और न कोई वहां से इस पार हमारे पास आ सके” (लूका 16:26)। प्रभु यीशु ने इस दृष्टान्त में यह स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि किसी के भी लिए यह सम्भव ही नहीं है कि एक से दूसरे स्थान को जा सके। मृत्यु के बाद व्यक्ति की आत्मा जिस भी स्थान में पहुँचती है, वह हमेशा के लिए वहीं रहती है; किसी भी परिस्थिति में स्थान बदला नहीं जा सकता है।

• प्रभु यीशु द्वारा दिए गए एक अन्य दृष्टान्त में, एक राजा वापस लौट कर अपनी प्रजा के लोगों का हिसाब लेता है और उन्हें उन के कामों के अनुसार प्रतिफल देता है (मत्ती 25:31-46), प्रभु इस दृष्टान्त का अन्त इन शब्दों के साथ करता है, “और यह अनन्त दण्ड भोगेंगे परन्तु धर्मी अनन्त जीवन में प्रवेश करेंगे” (मत्ती 25:46)। प्रभु ने यह बिलकुल स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि दोनों ही प्रकार के लोगों की नियति अन्तिम और अनन्तकालीन है – जो दण्ड भोगेंगे, वे हमेशा दण्ड ही भोगते रहेंगे; और जो अनन्त जीवन को प्राप्त करेंगे, वे अनन्त काल तक अनन्त जीवन में ही बने रहेंगे।

• पौलुस ने पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में इस न्याय के विषय लिखा, “वे प्रभु के सामने से, और उसकी शक्ति के तेज से दूर हो कर अनन्त विनाश का दण्ड पाएंगे” (2 थिस्सलुनीकियों 1:9); और यह स्पष्ट कर दिया कि जो दण्ड पाने के योग्य हैं और दण्ड पाएँगे, वे प्रभु से दूर कर दिए जाएँगे और अनन्त विनाश में भेज दिए जाएँगे, और यह कोई अस्थाई या अन्तरिम स्थिति नहीं होगी, जिसे कुछ समय के बाद बदला जा सकेगा, वरन चिरस्थाई स्थिति होगी।

• प्रेरित यूहन्ना ने, उसे प्रभु से मिले अन्त के समय के प्रकाशन में लिखा, “और उन का भरमाने वाला शैतान आग और गन्धक की उस झील में, जिस में वह पशु और झूठा भविष्यद्वक्ता भी होगा, डाल दिया जाएगा, और वे रात दिन युगानुयुग पीड़ा में तड़पते रहेंगे” (प्रकाशितवाक्य 20:10); और एक बार फिर से इस बात की पुष्टि की, कि न्याय अन्तिम और सदा काल के लिए ही है। जिन्हें पीड़ा के स्थान में भेजा जाता है, वे वहीं पर ही, पीड़ा में ही हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए रहेंगे। एक बार फिर से यहाँ कोई उल्लेख नहीं है कि न्याय की कभी कोई समीक्षा होगी अथवा उस में कोई परिवर्तन सम्भव है।

इसलिए किसी को भी ऐसी बातों का प्रचार करने और शिक्षाएं देने वालों के बहकावे में नहीं आना चाहिए कि, नरक नहीं है, पीड़ा का कोई स्थान नहीं है; या, दयालु और प्रेमी परमेश्वर ऐसा नहीं करेगा, वह लोगों को हमेशा पीड़ा नहीं सहने देगा; या, उन के लिए लोगों के द्वारा पृथ्वी पर किए गए कुछ कार्यों के द्वारा, जो लोग पीड़ा के स्थान में हैं, उन्हें वहां से छुड़ाया और निकाला जा सकता है। ये सभी, और अन्य इन के समान गढ़ी हुई बातें शैतानी हैं, बाइबल से बाहर की बातें हैं। ऐसी झूठी और बाइबल के बाहर की शिक्षाओं पर विश्वास करने के लिए बहका कर, शैतान दो बातें करने का प्रयास करता है। पहली तो यह कि वह लोगों को ऐसा जीवन जीने के लिए उकसाता है जिस से वे उद्धार न पा सकें और नरक में चले जाएँ; वह उन्हें भरमाता है कि वे सँसार में पापमय जीवन का मज़ा लेते हुए जीवन जी सकते हैं, और स्वर्ग भी चले जाएँगे; और इस तरह से वह उन्हें सुसमाचार के पालन के विरुद्ध उकसाता है। दूसरी बात, शैतान परमेश्वर को झूठा और उस के वचन को अस्थिर तथा परिवर्तनीय दिखाने का प्रयास करता है, कि परमेश्वर कहता कुछ है और अन्ततः करता कुछ और है। इस तरह से शैतान न केवल परमेश्वर की, और परमेश्वर के वचन की, विश्वासयोग्यता को नष्ट करना चाहता है, बल्कि बाइबल से बाहर की तथा झूठी शिक्षाओं के प्रचार और प्रसार के द्वारा, जैसी कि हम देख चुके हैं अपनी बातों को स्थापित करना चाहता है; अर्थात, शैतान अपनी इच्छा और अपनी बात को परमेश्वर की इच्छा और वचन से ऊपर रखना चाहता है।

जो इन, और इस प्रकार की झूठी, शैतानी शिक्षाओं में फँस जाते हैं, उन्हें अन्त समय में जाकर बहुत समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ेगा, और वे कभी उन समस्याओं और उन के परिणामों से निकलने नहीं पाएँगे। अगले लेख में हम “अन्तिम न्याय” के निहितार्थों पर आगे विचार करना ज़ारी रखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Implications of Judgment Being Eternal – 1

 

In the previous article we have seen that God’s judgment of all of mankind is inevitable, it will be carried out by the Lord Jesus Christ, the judgment will be according to what is written in God’s Word and this Word has been given to the people of the world; and no rules, regulations, practices, teachings, etc. of men, nor any man will have any role in this judgment. Therefore, those who want to be safe at the time of the judgment, presently while they have the time and opportunity, should prepare themselves by studying God’s Word, following it, and correcting whatever needs to be corrected in their lives in accordance with God’s Word; instead of learning the preaching and teachings of men and following them. Then, we concluded the last article by pointing out that the sixth elementary principle of Hebrews 6:1-2 is “eternal judgment.” That is to say that God’s Word not only speaks about the judgment but also that it is eternal – forever and unchanging. We had also mentioned some concepts that many people hold about this judgment; concepts that are unBiblical and false, having no affirmation or basis from the Bible.

It is not the subject or purpose of this study to go into the details of the end time events and related teachings and analyze them. The present purpose is to see from God’s Word that the Bible teaches that the results of the judgment will be final, everlasting, and unchanging; there will be no modification or alteration of the results, ever. Consider some verse from the Bible about this:

• The Lord Jesus spoke a parable in Luke 16:19-31, known as the parable of the Rich man and Lazarus. There is a verse in this parable that is relevant to our topic – judgment being eternal, “And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us” (Luke 16:26). The Lord Jesus has made it quite clear in this parable that it is just not possible for people to pass from one place to the other. Wherever the soul of the person reaches after death, it stays there forever; there can be no change of place under any circumstances.

• In another parable told by the Lord, about a King returning, taking an account from his subjects, and rewarding them according to their works (Matthew 25:31-46), the Lord concludes the parable with the words, “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life” (Matthew 25:46). The Lord has made it very clear that the fate of both kinds of people is everlasting and final – those who go into punishment, will be under punishment forever and ever; and those who are taken into eternal life, will also be there forever and ever.

• Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit writes about the judgment, “These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power” (2 Thessalonians 1:9); again, making it clear that those who are deserving of punishment and are punished, will go away from the Lord and into everlasting destruction, which will not be a temporary or an interim state of punishment, that may be changed for some at a later time, but a permanent state.

• The Apostle John, according to the revelation of the end times given to him by the Lord writes, “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). Once again affirming that the judgment is eternal, and those who are sent to the place of torment, will be there, in torment, for ever and ever. Again, there is no mention of any possibility of a review of the judgment or of any change of status.

Therefore, no one should get misled by the preaching and teachings of those who say things like: there is no hell, no place of torment; or, the merciful and loving God will not do this, He will not let people suffer forever; or, through the acts and deeds done on their behalf by the people on earth, those in the place of suffering can be brought out and redeemed. All of these, and the other such concocted teachings are unBiblical and satanic. By misleading people into believing such people, through these and similar wrong, unBiblical teachings, Satan tries to accomplish two things. Firstly, he misleads people into living a life that will not let them be saved and send them to hell, by impressing upon them that they can enjoy the sinful pleasures of this world and yet get into heaven; and thereby tries to work against the gospel. Secondly, Satan tries to make God a liar, and show that God’s Word is fickle and unreliable, because God says one thing, but ultimately will do something else. Thereby, Satan attempts to not only destroy the credibility of God and God’s Word, but also to establish his word, through the unBiblical and false teachings of various kinds that we have already seen; i.e., Satan wants to see his will and word to be over and above the will and Word of God.

Those who fall for these and similar satanic lies, will, at the end be in a lot of problems and will never be able to come out of them and their consequences. In the next article we will continue to ponder over the implications of “Eternal Judgment.”

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
