आराधना के लिए परिवर्तित (9)
हमने 2 इतिहास 29 अध्याय के अपने अध्ययन से देखा है कि जैसा परमेश्वर चाहता है वैसा आराधक, अर्थात आत्मा और सच्चाई से आराधना करने वाला (यूहन्ना 4:23-24) बनने के लिए, सबसे पहली और अनिवार्य बात है परमेश्वर के साथ सही और उचित सम्बन्ध में होना, अर्थात् परमेश्वर की सन्तान (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), उसके परिवार का भाग, उसके लोग होना। परमेश्वर के लोग, मसीही विश्वासी भी अनुचित और परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता का जीवन जी सकते हैं, अर्थात् पाप कर सकते हैं। और, पाप हमें परमेश्वर की संगति से दूर कर देता है (यशायाह 59:1-2), इसलिये पहले मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाल होना होता है, ताकि वह आत्मा और सच्चाई से परमेश्वर की आराधना कर सके। परमेश्वर के साथ सही संगति में बहाल होना और फिर परमेश्वर द्वारा दिये गए तरीके उसकी आराधना करने की बहाली के लिये विश्वासी को चार कदमों से होकर जाना होता है। इन चार में से पहले तीन कदम हैं मसीही विश्वासी का अपने आप को तैयार करना, शुद्ध और पवित्र होना, जिससे परमेश्वर की महिमा कर सके उसकी योग्य आराधना कर सके। इस तैयारी के इन पहले तीन कदमों के उचित रीति से पूरा करने के बाद ही व्यक्ति चौथे कदम, परमेश्वर की आराधना करने पर जा सकता है।
बिना पर्याप्त और उचित तैयारी करे, जैसी पहले तीन कदमों में रूपरेखा दी गई है, विश्वासी परमेश्वर की योग्य आराधना नहीं करने पाएगा, और आराधना की आशीषों और अनन्तकालीन प्रतिफलों का लाभ नहीं लेने पाएगा। यह चौथा और अन्तिम कदम चार चरणों में होकर पूरा होता है, और पिछले लेखों में हमने इसके पहले दो चरणों को 2 इतिहास 29:20-26 से देखा है। पहले कदम में हिजकिय्याह अपने हाकिमों के साथ मंदिर में आता है; वह इस्राएल सहित, सभी के लिए पाप-बलि चढ़ाने के लिए कहता है; और फिर दूसरे चरण में बलिदान के लिए जब पशु तैयार किए जा रहे थे, उस समय मंदिर में लेवी अपने वाद्य यंत्रों के साथ, परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित विधि के अनुसार आराधना आरंभ करने के लिए तैयार खड़े हो जाते हैं।
यह, आज हम मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए, दिखाता है कि जिस प्रकार से हिजकिय्याह ने सार्वजनिक रीति से पापी होने का अंगीकार किया और परमेश्वर से क्षमा माँगने को तैयार हुआ, उसी प्रकार से विश्वासी को भी अपने पापों को मान कर उनके लिये परमेश्वर से क्षमा माँगनी है। इसके बाद हिजकिय्याह स्वयं को तथा अपने ‘सभी हाकिमों’ को परमेश्वर की क्षमा की अधीनता में ले कर आया; उसी प्रकार से अनिवार्य है कि मसीही विश्वासी भी स्वयं को और अपने जीवन की बातों पर नियंत्रण रखने वाली सभी बातों को प्रभु की अधीनता में ले कर आना है। जैसे प्रभु यीशु ने यूहन्ना 13:8-10 में पतरस के साथ हुए वार्तालाप में दिखाया, जब भी विश्वासी से पाप हो जाए, उसे इसे परमेश्वर के सामने मान लेना है और कब, कहाँ पर, किस बात में पाप हुआ इसका अंगीकार करना है, उसके लिए क्षमा माँगनी है। केवल वे ही परमेश्वर की सच्ची आराधना करने का मन और योग्यता रख सकते हैं जो परमेश्वर से ऐसी घनिष्ठता का संबंध रखते हैं कि वे कभी भी उससे सहायता प्राप्त करने के लिए परमेश्वर के सामने आने का भरोसा रखते हैं।
इस प्रथम चरण के बाद, दूसरा चरण आता है जिसमें आराधना आरंभ होने को तैयार है। इस दूसरे चरण में, जब पशु बलि चढ़ाए जाने के लिए तैयार किए जा रहे थे, तो मंदिर में लेवी, अर्थात् परमेश्वर के अभिषिक्त और समर्पित जन, अपने वाद्य यंत्रों के साथ आराधना आरंभ करने के लिए तैयार खड़े थे। प्रभु यीशु, हमारा बलि का मेमना, मारा और बलि किया गया है; अब हम मसीही विश्वासियों को दो बातें जाँच कर देखनी हैं। पहली, हमारे हृदय, पवित्र आत्मा के मंदिर में, क्या और कौन रहता है - क्या वे परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19), परमेश्वर का वचन (भजन 119:11; कुलुस्सियों 3:16), और परमेश्वर की बातें हैं (फिलिप्पियों 4:8-9), अथवा कोई या कुछ अन्य? और दूसरा, क्या हमारे हृदय में जो कुछ भी है वह परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित और दिये गये तरीके से आराधना करने के लिए बिलकुल तैयार खड़ा है कि नहीं (भजन 103:1-2)? केवल तब ही आत्मा और सच्चाई से, जैसे परमेश्वर चाहता है, आराधना की जा सकती है। इस सारी तैयारी और पवित्र किए जाने के बाद, यही वह पल है जब विश्वासी वैसे आराधक में परिवर्तित हो जाता है, जिसे परमेश्वर ढूँढ़ रहा है।
चरण 3 - 2 इतिहास 29:27-28 - होमबलि
इसके बाद हिजकिय्याह होमबलि चढ़ाने के लिए कहता है (पद 27-28)। होमबलि बलिदान किए हुए संपूर्ण पशु को वेदी पर जलाया जाना था - जो एक संपूर्ण समर्पण, स्वयं को मिटा कर, अपने आप को पूर्णतः प्रभु को समर्पित कर देना दिखाता था। जैसे ही यह आरंभ होता है, यहोवा के गीत के साथ आराधना भी आरंभ हो जाती है। हम जिस पल से वास्तव में और ईमानदारी से अपने आप को परमेश्वर के सामने प्रोस्क्यूनियोस कर देते हैं, अर्थात जिस पल से हम अपने आप को प्रभु यीशु मसीह के हाथों में पूर्णतः समर्पित कर देते हैं, हम आराधना चढ़ाने के लिए तैयार हो जाते हैं। जो मंदिर में लेवियों के साथ आरंभ हुआ था, वह, जैसा कि पद 28 में लिखा है, शीघ्र ही सारी उपस्थित मण्डली में फैल गया। सभी जो वहाँ पर एकत्रित थे परमेश्वर की आराधना में सम्मिलित हो गए। ध्यान कीजिए, ये वो लोग थे जो परमेश्वर के मंदिर में एकत्रित थे, जिन्हें पहले चरण की पाप बलि के द्वारा परमेश्वर की अधीनता में लाया जा चुका था, और राजा हिजकिय्याह के साथ परमेश्वर की आराधना के लिए एकत्रित हुए थे। यह एक बार फिर इस बात पर जोर देता है कि सच्ची आराधना केवल पापों से क्षमा पाए हुए उस जन के द्वारा की जा सकती है जिसने तैयारी की है और आराधना करने के लिए शुद्ध और पवित्र बना है।
चरण - 4 - 2 इतिहास 29:29-31 - विभिन्न स्वरूपों में आराधना आरंभ हो जाती है
यहाँ से आगे, परमेश्वर के तैयार और पवित्र किया गए लोगों के द्वारा, बलिदान, धन्यवाद की भेंटें, स्तुति, सिर झुकाना, दण्डवत करना - निर्बाध आराधना विभिन्न रीति से आरंभ हो जाती है। पापों से छुड़ाया हुआ, शुद्ध और स्वच्छ किया गया, समर्पित विश्वासी परमेश्वर की आराधना आत्मा और सच्चाई से कर सकता है, और करता भी है; जिस प्रोस्क्युनीटिस की परमेश्वर तलाश कर रहा है, वह वही बन जाता है। यहाँ पर पद 30 में आराधना से संबंधित एक और महत्वपूर्ण बात दी गई है, “राजा हिजकिय्याह और हाकिमों ने लेवियों को आज्ञा दी, कि दाऊद और आसाप दर्शी के भजन गाकर यहोवा की स्तुति करें…”, अर्थात् परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रयोग के द्वारा आराधना करें। परमेश्वर के वचन और उसमें दिए गए उदाहरणों का प्रयोग करने से यह सुनिश्चित रहता है कि हम शैतान द्वारा किसी प्रकार से अनुचित रीति से आराधना करने में बहकाए नहीं जाएँगे।
आराधना के बारे में हमारी इस श्रृंखला के समाप्ति पर, निष्कर्ष में, हमने यह देखा और सीखा है कि सच्ची आराधना पापों की क्षमा पाए हुए, समर्पित, शुद्ध और स्वच्छ किए हुए मन वाले लोग ही कर पाते हैं। जो भी आत्मा और सच्चाई से परमेश्वर की आराधना करने की लालसा रखता है, उसे इसके लिये अपने आप को तैयार और पवित्र करना होता है। प्रत्येक मसीही पाप में गिर सकता है, और तब उसे पहले प्रभु के सामने अपने पाप को मान लेने, उसके द्वारा शुद्ध और पवित्र किए जाने की आवश्यकता होती है, उसके बाद ही वह सच्ची आराधना करने पाता है। हम भजन 51 में दाऊद के जीवन से देखते हैं कि जब वह पाप की स्थिति में था तब आराधना नहीं कर सका; वह परमेश्वर से केवल प्रार्थना, अंगीकार, और क्षमा याचना ही कर सका। केवल पाप क्षमा मिलने और परमेश्वर द्वारा शुद्ध और पवित्र किए जाने के बाद ही परमेश्वर के साथ उसका संबंध और उसकी आराधना बहाल हो सके। यदि हम सार्थक रीति से, वास्तव में सच्ची आराधना नहीं करने पा रहे हैं, तो हमें अपने हृदय की दशा को परमेश्वर के समक्ष लाकर जाँचना चाहिए, और जो भी सुधारे जाने की आवश्यकता है, उसे सुधारना चाहिए (2 कुरिन्थियों 13:5)। परमेश्वर अपने लोगों को अपने सच्चे आराधकों में परिवर्तित करना चाहता है, ताकि उन्हें बहुतायत से आशीषित कर सके; किन्तु इसके लिए हमें इस सारी प्रक्रिया से होकर जाने के लिए तैयार होना पड़ेगा, क्योंकि परमेश्वर के साथ कोई छोटे या समझौते के मार्ग, कोई शोर्ट-कट, नहीं हैं। और जैसा हमने बारम्बार इन लेखों में तथा ऊपर भी बल दिया है, इसका आरम्भ सबसे पहले परमेश्वर के साथ एक सही और उचित सम्बन्ध में आने, उसकी सन्तान बनने (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), उसके परिवार का भाग, उसके लोग बनने के साथ होता है।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Being Transformed To Worship (9)
Through our study from 2 Chronicles chapter 29 we have seen that to be transformed into the kind of worshipper that God is looking for, i.e., one who worships God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24), first and foremost, one must be in the right and correct relationship with God, i.e., be a child of God (John 1:12-13), His family member, one of His people. The people of God, the Christian Believers can live a wayward life and disobey the instructions of the Lord i.e., can sin. And, sin separates from the fellowship of God (Isaiah 59:1-2), therefore, the Believer has to first be restored into fellowship with God, before he can worship in spirit and truth. This restoration and then worshipping God in the manner He wants, occurs through four steps. The first three of these steps are about the Christian Believer preparing and sanctifying himself to glorify God and worship Him worthily. It is only after these three initial preparatory steps have been properly completed, that the person can go to the fourth step of starting to worship God.
Without adequate and proper preparation, as outlined in the first three steps, he will not be able to worship God worthily, and will not be able to enjoy the blessings and eternal fruits of worshipping. This fourth and final step is completed through four stages, and in the previous articles we have seen the first two stages of this fourth step from 2 Chronicles 29:20-26. In the first stage Hezekiah with the rulers in his kingdom came to the Temple; he asked for the sin offering for everyone, including Israel. Then in the second stage the sacrificial animals were killed, while the Levite in the Temple stood ready with their musical instruments to start worshiping in the manner God has prescribed.
This, for us Christian Believers, today signifies, like Hezekiah, the necessity of first openly confessing being a sinner and seeking God’s forgiveness for them. Then to bring self and every ‘ruler of the kingdom’, i.e., all controlling influence in our life to the Lord and putting it all under the Lord’s control. As the Lord Jesus showed through His conversation with Peter in John 13:8-10, as often as a Believer sins, he has to come to the Lord, repent for the sin and acknowledge before the Lord where and for what he has fallen, and ask for the Lord’s forgiveness for it. Only those who enjoy this close relationship and confidence of approaching God whenever they need His help, also have the heart and ability to worship God, exalt and glorify Him.
After this first stage, comes the second stage of beginning the worship. For this second stage, as the animals were being made ready for the offering, the Levites, i.e., the people consecrated to God and functioning for God, in the Temple stood ready with their musical instruments to start worshipping. The Lord Jesus, our sacrificial Lamb of God has been killed and offered as a sacrifice; now, we Believers need to see two things within ourselves. Firstly, who or what occupies our hearts, the Temple of the Holy Spirit - is it God the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19), God’s Word (Psalm 119:11; Colossians 3:16), and the things related to God (Philippians 4:8-9); or something or someone else? Secondly, whether everything in our hearts is ready and prepared to worship God in the manner prescribed by Him in His Word (Psalm 103:1-2). Only then can it be the worship in spirit and in truth that God desires. After all this preparation and sanctification, this is the moment where the Believer is transformed to being a worshipper, the one God is looking for.
Stage 3 – 2 Chronicles 29:27-28 - Burnt Offering
Then Hezekiah asks for the burnt offering to be offered (vs 27-28) – burnt offering was the burning of the whole sacrificial animal on the altar – signifying a complete submission, a complete offering of self to the Lord. As soon as this is underway, worship through singing also begins. From the moment we actually and sincerely proskuneos ourselves before God, i.e., from the moment we completely surrender ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus, we are ready to start worshipping. What started in the Temple with the Levites, as is stated in verse 28, soon involved the whole assembly. Everyone who was gathered there, joined in worshipping God. Note, this was the assembly gathered in the Temple, people who had been brought under the sin offering of stage 1, and had gathered to worship God under King Hezekiah. Once again emphasizing that actual worship can only be offered by a redeemed sinner, who has also prepared and sanctified himself to worship God.
Stage 4 – 2 Chronicles 29:29-31 - Various Forms of Worship start:
We see here from verses 29-31 that from here on sacrifices, thanks offerings, praise, bowing of heads – a free flow of various forms of worship by the prepared and sanctified people of God is seen. A redeemed, cleansed, and submitted person can, and will worship the Lord in spirit and in truth; he will be the proskunetes that God wants. Here, in verse 30, another important point related to worship is also given, “King Hezekiah and the leaders commanded the Levites to sing praise to the Lord with the words of David and of Asaph the seer…”, i.e., worship using the Word of God. By using the Word of God, its examples, ensures that we are not misled by Satan into worshipping inappropriately in any manner.
In conclusion, in our series on Understanding Worship, we have seen and learnt that true worship comes from a redeemed, submitted, cleansed, and purified heart. The person desiring to worship God in spirit and truth has to prepare and sanctify himself to do so. Every Christian Believer is also prone to committing sin and then he first needs to confess his sin to the Lord, get cleansed by Him and only then can he sincerely worship God worthily. We see from the life of David, in Psalm 51, that he could not worship while in the state of sin; he could only pray, confess, and seek God’s forgiveness. Only after being cleansed of his sin could his relationship with God and his worship be restored. If we are unable to worship meaningfully, then let us examine the state of our hearts before God, and correct what needs to be corrected (2 Corinthians 13:5). God wants to transform His people into His sincere worshippers, and bless them abundantly; provided we are willing to go through His process, since there are no short-cuts with God. And as we have repeatedly seen in these articles, and emphasized above, this starts with first coming into a right relationship with God, by becoming His child, a member of His family (John 1:12-13).
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
