अपनी इस श्रृंखला के पिछले लेखों का पुनःअवलोकन ज़ारी रखते हुए, आज हम व्यवस्था के उद्देश्य को थोड़ा और गहराई से समझेंगे। संसार का पहला पाप परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता था; केवल एक बहुत साधारण सी आज्ञा - सारी वाटिका में से केवल एक वृक्ष के फल को मत खाना। और शैतान ने अपनी बातों के द्वारा मनुष्य को उस एक आज्ञा का पालन भी नहीं करने दिया, उसमें भी उसे पाप में गिरा दिया। और वह भी तब, जब अदन की वाटिका में मनुष्य पूर्णतः निर्दोष और निष्पाप अवस्था में, अपनी पूरी आत्मिकता की दशा में था, परमेश्वर के साथ संगति रखता था, निःसंकोच बातचीत करता था।

 

प्रभु द्वारा कही गई दोनों सबसे महान आज्ञाओं के सामने, जो सारी व्यवस्था का आधार हैं (मत्ती 22:36-40), और निर्गमन में दी गई दस आज्ञाओं के सामने जो व्यवस्था का एक संक्षिप्त प्ररूप हैं, आदम और हव्वा को दी गई परमेश्वर की यह एक आज्ञा कुछ भी नहीं है। किन्तु मनुष्य शैतान की युक्तियों के सामने इस एक छोटी सी आज्ञा में भी टिक नहीं पाया, गिर गया, अनाज्ञाकारिता कर दी। तो फिर मनुष्य, जो अपनी सृष्टि और स्वाभाविक रचना में स्‍वर्गदूतों से कम है (इब्रानियों 2:6-7), जिन में से, पाप में गिरने के कारण, शैतान और उसके दूत निकले हैं, वह अपने पाप में गिरने के बाद शैतान और उसके दूतों की कुटिलताओं का सामना कैसे करेगा, जबकि अपने पाप में गिरने से पहले की स्थिति में नहीं कर सका? अब वह कैसे उनके सामने खड़ा रह सकेगा? अब, अपनी सामर्थ्य और बुद्धि से परमेश्वर की संपूर्ण व्यवस्था का पूर्ण पालन कैसे करने पाएगा?

 

और यह केवल कहने की बात नहीं है, सभी के प्रतिदिन के अनुभव की बात है कि शैतान और उसके दूत, सभी मनुष्यों को अपनी युक्तियों और धूर्तता में फँसा कर, प्रतिदिन अनेकों बार, मन-ध्यान-विचार-व्यवहार में पाप में गिराते रहते हैं। और जैसा हम देख चुके हैं, उद्धार पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी भी पाप में गिरने से बचे हुए नहीं है (1 यूहन्ना 1:8, 10); उन्हें भी बारंबार 1 यूहन्ना 1:9 का सहारा लेकर अपने पापों से निकलना पड़ता है। इसलिए यह कभी संभव हो ही नहीं सकता है कि मनुष्य व्यवस्था को अपनी सामर्थ्य से पूरा निभा सके; वह कहीं, किसी बात में या तो अनाज्ञाकारिता करेगा, या उससे कुछ निभाने से छूट ही जाएगा। और जैसा हम देख चुके हैं, व्यवस्था की माँग है कि यदि एक भी बात में चूक हुई, एक भी अनाज्ञाकारिता हुई, तो वह संपूर्ण व्यवस्था से चूकने, संपूर्ण की अनाज्ञाकारिता के समान समझा जाएगा (गलातियों 3:10; याकूब 2:10)।

इन सभी बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए यह प्रकट है कि व्यवस्था कभी भी, किसी भी रीति से मनुष्यों को उद्धार प्रदान नहीं कर सकती है। व्यवस्था उन्हें उनके पापों को दिखा सकती है, उन्हें उन पापों के लिए दोषी ठहरा सकती है, उन्हें उनके पापों का दण्ड बता सकती है, किन्तु उनके पापों का समाधान प्रदान नहीं कर सकती है। वह समाधान तो केवल उससे होकर आ सकता है जिसनें सिद्धता के साथ व्यवस्था को पूरा किया, और फिर औरों के लिये उसे मार्ग से हटा दिया, अर्थात, प्रभु यीशु मसीह में ही हो सकता है, उसके अतिरिक्त और कोई समाधान नहीं है।

 

यदि व्यवस्था इतनी असमर्थ है, तो आज हमारे मसीही विश्वास और मसीही विश्वास के जीवन में क्या उसकी कोई उपयोगिता है? इस प्रश्न को हम अगले लेख से देखना आरंभ करेंगे। अभी के लिए, यदि अपने आप को किसी भी प्रकार की “व्यवस्था” - वह चाहे परमेश्वर की हो, या आपके धर्म, मत, समुदाय, या डिनॉमिनेशन की हो - के पालन के द्वारा धर्मी बनाने के, और अपने शरीर के कार्यों के द्वारा अपने आप को परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बनाने के प्रयासों में लगे हैं; तो ध्यान देकर समझ लीजिए कि परमेश्वर का वचन स्पष्ट बताता है कि किसी भी व्यवस्था के पालन के द्वारा नहीं, वरन, परमेश्वर के दिए हुए पश्चाताप और समर्पण करके प्रभु यीशु को उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने के मार्ग का पालन करने के द्वारा ही आप परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य बन सकते हैं। अभी समय और अवसर रहते सही मार्ग अपना लें, और धर्म का पालन तथा भले काम करने के व्यर्थ तथा निष्फल मार्ग को छोड़ दें।

   

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Continuing with our review of the previous articles of this series, today we will try to understand the purpose of the Law a little more deeply. The world's first sin was disobedience to God; disobedience of just one very simple commandment - don't eat the fruit of only one tree out of the whole garden. And Satan, through his deviousness, tricked man into disobeying even that one simple commandment, made him fall into sin. And that too, when in the Garden of Eden man was in a pure, innocent, and sinless state, was in unmarred spirituality, was fellowshipping with God, and talking freely with Him.

In comparison to the two greatest commandments, which are the basis of the whole Law), as stated by the Lord (Matthew 22:36-40, and in comparison to the Ten Commandments given by God in Exodus, which are a brief outline of God’s Law, this one simple commandment that God gave Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is nothing. But man could not stand up to Satan's tricks even in this one small command, fell in disobedience, and sinned. How then can man be able to stand up to, and face the deviousness of Satan and his angels, since in his creation he is inferior in power and wisdom to the angels (Hebrews 2:6-7), from whom Satan and his angels have come, due to their falling in sin? If even before his fall into sin, man could not obey one simple straightforward Law; then after his fall into sin, how will he be able to fully obey God's entire Law in his natural power and wisdom, that he has been created in?

 

And this is not just a matter of saying, it is a matter of everyday experience for all of us. We well know how Satan and his angels, by enticing all human beings through their ploys and cunningness, makes them sin through wrongs committed in mind-thoughts-deeds-behavior, many times every day. And as we have seen, even the saved Christians are not safe from falling into sin (1 John 1:8, 10); they too have to repeatedly be delivered from their sins by resorting to 1 John 1:9. So, there is no way man can ever fulfill the Law without falling short or disobeying it in any way. And, as we have seen, to disobey one thing of the Law, is the same as having disobeyed the whole Law (Galatians 3:10; James 2:10). Hence man can never stand justified by the Law, because Satan will make sure he falls into disobedience in one way or another, at some time or the other.

 

With all this in mind, it is apparent that the Law can never, in any way, provide salvation to humans. The law can show them their sins, can condemn them for those sins, can show them the punishment for their sin, but cannot provide a solution for their sins. That solution can only come from the one who has perfectly fulfilled the Law in its entirety, and then taken it away for others; i.e., the Lord Jesus Christ, except for Him, there is no other solution.

 

If the law is so incapable, is it of any use in our Christian faith and Christian life today? We will start looking at this question from the article onwards. For now, if you are hoping to justify yourself by observing any sort of "law" — whether that of God, or of your religion, creed, community, or denomination — and are trying to make yourself acceptable to God by being ‘good’ through the works of the flesh; then pay heed and understand that God's Word clearly states that you become righteous and acceptable to God, not by keeping the Law, but only by following the God given path of repentance and submission to the Lord and accepting the Lord Jesus as your savior. Therefore, while you have the time and the opportunity, take the right decision, decide on the right path, and leave the vain and fruitless path of following a religion and doing good works.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पापों के समाधान के लिए परमेश्वर की विधि – व्यवस्था पालन नहीं पश्चाताप करना (भाग 2)  

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि उद्धार पाया हुआ व्यक्ति भी, जब भी, परमेश्वर का अनाज्ञाकारी होता है, परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित सीमाओं की सुरक्षा के बाड़े के बाहर निकलता है तो वह शैतान को उसे पाप में गिरा देने का अवसर प्रदान करता है (सभोपदेशक 10:8); और शैतान इस अवसर का पूरा-पूरा लाभ उठाता है, उद्धार पाए हुए को भी पाप में गिरा देता है। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पाप में गिरे हुए उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति के लिए भी परमेश्वर द्वारा वही, एक ही समाधान दिया गया है जो उद्धार न पाए हुए लोगों के लिये है – पापों का अंगीकार करना, उनके लिए पश्चाताप कर लेना, और परमेश्वर द्वारा बहाल हो जाना (1 यूहन्ना 1:9)।

इसका यह अर्थ नहीं है कि उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति को परमेश्वर ने बिना किसी भी दुष्परिणाम की चिन्ता किये, पाप करते रहने की खुली छूट दे दी है, मन-मर्ज़ी करने का लाइसेंस दे दिया है, क्योंकि व्यक्ति हमेशा पछता कर बहाल हो सकता है; जैसा बहुत से लोग इस बात को लेकर बहुधा कहते हैं। यह हमारा विषय नहीं है, बहुत संक्षेप में, बाइबल स्पष्ट सिखाती है कि यद्यपि पाप करने से उद्धार तो नहीं जाता है, किन्तु पाप करने के लिए ताड़ना अवश्य होती है (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:31-32; इब्रानियों 12:5-10)। साथ ही, पाप हमारे अनन्तकाल के प्रतिफलों की भी हानि करता है; ऐसे बहुत से लोग होंगे जो अनन्तकाल में प्रवेश तो करेंगे, किन्तु खाली हाथ करेंगे, और फिर खाली हाथ ही रहेंगे (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15)। इसलिए उद्धार पाने के बाद लापरवाही करना और पाप करना कोई हल्की बात नहीं है, उसका बहुत भारी दुष्परिणाम है; उद्धार पाया हुआ व्यक्ति पाप करके हल्के में नहीं छूट जाता है।

यह केवल कोई गढ़ी हुई धारणा नहीं है, बल्कि बाइबल के उदाहरणों पर आधारित तथ्य है। हमने पिछले लेख में प्रभु के भाई याकूब, प्रेरित पौलुस, और प्रेरित यूहन्ना के उदाहरणों से देखा था कि उनसे भी पाप होते थे  (याकूब 3:2; रोमियों 7:15-20; 1 यूहन्ना 1:8-10), प्रेरित पतरस ने दोगलापन किया, और इसके लिये उसकी सार्वजनिक भर्त्सना हुई (गलातियों 2:11-14), किन्तु इन में से किसी भी जन का उद्धार कभी नहीं गया। यहाँ यह तर्क भी दिया जाता है कि साधारण नहीं, घोर पापों के लिये उद्धार जा सकता है; किन्तु बाइबल से इसका भी कोई समर्थन नहीं है। उदाहरण के लिये 1 कुरिन्थियों 5:1-5 देखिये - पौलुस उस व्यभिचारी व्यक्ति को ताड़ना के लिये शैतान को सौंपे जाने के लिये कहता है, किन्तु साथ ही यह भी कहता है कि प्रभु यीशु के दिन में उसकी आत्मा उद्धार पाएगी। साथ ही दाऊद के द्वारा किये गए व्यभिचार और हत्या का (2 शमूएल अध्याय 11-112), सुलैमान द्वारा की गई मूर्तिपूजा के बारे में विचार कीजिये (1 राजाओं 11:1-13) - इनकी हानि और ताड़ना तो हुई, किन्तु इनका भी उद्धार नहीं गया; और इनकी लिखी हुई पुस्तकें परमेश्वर के वचन का अभिन्न अँग हैं। अर्थात, प्रभु के लोगों की, उनके पापों के लिये ताड़ना होगी, उन्हें अपने किये के दुष्परिणाम भुगतने पड़ेंगे, परन्तु उद्धार कभी नहीं जाएगा - रोमियों 11:29 की पुष्टि है, जिसे हम पहले देख चुके हैं।

  

इसलिए यह प्रकट है, कि हम उद्धार पाए हुए लोगों के लिए भी पापों का समाधान, उनके दुष्परिणामों से बचने का मार्ग वही है, जो उद्धार न पाए हुए लोगों के लिए है - पापों का अंगीकार करके, उनके लिए पश्चाताप करना। ध्यान दीजिए, एक बार फिर, यहाँ पर भी परमेश्वर ने इस समाधान के लिए अपनी व्यवस्था का पालन करने की कोई बात नहीं कही; और न ही शैतान ने प्रभु के लोगों पर कभी उनके द्वारा व्यवस्था का उल्लंघन या पालन न करने का दोष लगाया। अभिप्राय स्पष्ट है, चाहे उद्धार पाया हुआ व्यक्ति हो, अथवा उद्धार नहीं पाया हुआ हो, परमेश्वर के मानक, कार्यविधि, समाधान बदलते नहीं हैं; सभी के लिए एक ही हैं, सभी के लिए समान ही हैं। और परमेश्वर दोनों के प्रति धैर्य रखता है, पर्याप्त समय देता है, क्रोध और न्याय करने में यथासंभव विलंब करता है (2 पतरस 3:9)।

 

यह देखने और समझने के बाद कि संसार के हर मनुष्य के लिए, चाहे वह स्वाभाविक और अपरिवर्तित हो, या उद्धार पाया हुआ हो, उसके पापों का समाधान केवल और केवल उसके द्वारा अपने पापों के पश्चाताप के द्वारा है, व्यवस्था के पालन के द्वारा नहीं, अब हमारे लिए प्रेरितों 17:30 के दूसरे भाग “... अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है” को समझना आसान हो जाता है। जब पश्चाताप करने और मन फिराने के अलावा और कोई मार्ग है ही नहीं तो परमेश्वर, जो कभी झूठ नहीं बोलता है, धोखा नहीं देता है (गिनती 23:19) किसी से क्यों कुछ और करने को कहेगा? वह क्यों किसी को भी उसके पापों के निवारण के लिए व्यवस्था के पालन के लिए कहेगा? चाहे वह व्यवस्था परमेश्वर की दी हुई हो; अथवा भी किसी धर्म, मत, या डिनॉमिनेशन के द्वारा उसके लोगों के पालन के लिये बनाई और दी हुई हो? क्योंकि हर व्यवस्था, मनुष्य को पापों से बचाने के लिए व्यर्थ और अयोग्य है, इसीलिए खरा, सच्चा, और न्यायी परमेश्वर मनुष्यों को वही करने की आज्ञा देता है जो उचित और योग्य है - मन फिराव। यदि फिर भी मनुष्य परमेश्वर की कही बात को अस्वीकार करके, अपनी ही करना चाहेगा, तो फिर परिणामों के लिए स्वयं ही ज़िम्मेदार होगा, परमेश्वर को ज़िम्मेदार नहीं ठहरा सकेगा; और न ही परमेश्वर के अन्यायी तथा पक्षपाती होने का दोष लगा सकेगा। 

अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे कि यदि व्यवस्था पापों का समाधान देने के लिए असमर्थ है, अयोग्य है, तो परमेश्वर ने उसे दिया क्यों? और फिर यह क्यों कहा कि इसके पालन के द्वारा मनुष्य को जीवन मिलेगा? किन्तु अभी के लिए, यदि आप मसीही हैं या गैर मसीही, और अभी भी व्यवस्था, या नियमों, विधियों, रीतियों आदि के पालन के द्वारा परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी ठहरने में विश्वास रखते हैं, तो आपके लिए अभी समय और अवसर है कि अपनी इस गलत धारणा को सुधार लें, और परमेश्वर की आज्ञा के अनुसार पश्चाताप और मन-फिराव के द्वारा परमेश्वर के साथ अपने संबंधों को ठीक कर लें।

God’s Prescribed Solution for Sin – Repentance, not Law (Part 2)

We had seen in the last article that a saved person, whenever he steps out of the protective hedge set by God, by disobeying God, he then provides Satan an opportunity to make him fall in sin (Ecclesiastes 10:8); and Satan makes full use of this opportunity, and gets even a saved person to fall in sin. We had also seen that for a saved person who has fallen in sin, God has given one and the same solution as is for the unsaved persons – acceptance of sins and repentance for them, and be restored by God (1 John 1:9).

This does not mean that God has given the saved person an open opportunity to sin, a license to as he likes, without fear of any consequences since he can always repent and be restored, as many people often assume about this. This is not our topic of discussion, but in short, the Bible clearly teaches that although committing sin does not make anyone lose their salvation, but committing sin does result in chastisement (1 Corinthians 11:31-32; Hebrews 12:5-10). At the same time, sin also causes loss of our eternal rewards. There will be many people who will enter eternity, but will be empty-handed, and remain empty-handed for all eternity (1 Corinthians 3:13-15). Therefore, being careless and sinning after being saved is not a light thing, it has very heavy consequences. A saved person cannot take this casually since he is not let off lightly after committing a sin.

This is not merely a contrived notion, but a fact based on Biblical examples. In the previous article we saw, from the examples of the Lord’s brother James, the apostle Paul, and the apostle John, that they too committed sins (James 3:2; Romans 7:15–20; 1 John 1:8–10); the apostle Peter acted hypocritically, and for this he was publicly rebuked (Galatians 2:11–14), yet the salvation of none of these people was ever lost. Here an argument is made that salvation will be lost not for ordinary sins, but for the grievous sins; however, there is no Biblical support for this either. For example, see 1 Corinthians 5:1–5—Paul says that the adulterous person is to be handed over to Satan for chastening, yet at the same time he also says that his spirit will be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Likewise, consider the adultery and murder committed by David (2 Samuel chapters 11–12), and the idolatry practiced by Solomon (1 Kings 11:1–13)—they suffered harm and chastening, yet even their salvation was not lost; and the books written by them are an integral part of the Word of God. In other words, the Lord’s people will be disciplined for their sins, they will have to bear the consequences of their actions, but salvation will never be lost—this is a confirmation of Romans 11:29, which we have already seen.

So now it is clear that for us saved Christians, the way of resolving sins, and escaping their consequences, is just the same as for the unsaved people - by confessing sins, and repenting for them. Once again, notice that even here God did not ask to follow His Law to resolve this situation. Nor did Satan, while accusing the people before the Lord, ever accuse them of violating, or not following the Law. The implication is clear: whether the person is saved, or is not saved, God's standards, method of working, and solutions do not change; they always remain the same for all. And God is always sufficiently patient with both, giving enough time, as long as He possibly can to delay His retribution and judgment (2 Peter 3:9).

So, after seeing and understanding that for every person in the world, whether natural and unregenerate, or saved, the solution of his sins is only and only through his repenting of his sins, and not by keeping the Law, it is now easier for us to understand the second part of Acts 17:30 "... now commands all men everywhere to repent." Why there simply is no other way but to repent, then why would God, who never lies, never deceives (Numbers 23:19), ask anyone to do anything else? Why would He ask anyone to obey the Law for the remission of his sins? Whether that Law was given by God or was made, created, and given by any religion, creed, or denomination, for its followers? Because every law is futile and inapplicable to save man from sin, therefore, the upright, honest, and true God commands men to do only what is correct and worthy— to repent. If still man would like to do his own thing, rejecting what God said, then he himself will be responsible for the consequences, and will not be able to hold God responsible for them, nor be able to blame God for being unjust and unfair.

In the next article we will see that if the Law is incapable, and unable, to provide a solution for sins, then why did God give it? And then why is it said that by following it man can get life? But for now, whether you are a Christian or a non-Christian, but still believe in being justified in the sight of God by observing the Law, or rules, ordinances, customs, etc., now is the time and opportunity for you to come out of this misconception, repent, and mend your relationship with God through obeying God's command.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Sincerely repenting of your sins, asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, and voluntarily submitting yourself sincerely and with a committed heart to his Lordship in your life - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ, willingly and meaningfully, while simultaneously completely committing your life to Him. You can say this prayer of repentance and submission in words like this, “Lord Jesus, I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself for their forgiveness and because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, you rose again on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and submissive heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पापों के समाधान के लिए परमेश्वर की विधि – व्यवस्था पालन नहीं पश्चाताप करना (भाग 1)  

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि परमेश्वर सच्चा और खरा न्यायी है, वह किसी का पक्षपात नहीं करता है। चाहे कोई उसे स्वीकार करता हो अथवा नहीं, उसका आज्ञाकारी रहता हो या नहीं; किन्तु सभी के लिए परमेश्वर के न्याय के  माप-दण्ड सदैव एक ही होते हैं, समान रहते हैं, कभी भी बदलते नहीं हैं। वह उन्हें भी, जो उसे स्वीकार नहीं करते हैं, उसकी नहीं मानते हैं, उसका विरोध भी करते हैं, पाप के दण्ड से बचने का पर्याप्त अवसर देता है और इसीलिए उन्हें भी पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने के लिए कहता है। 

परमेश्वर कभी बुराई से किसी की परीक्षा नहीं करता है (याकूब 1:13), मनुष्य को कभी उसकी सामर्थ्य से बाहर किसी परीक्षा में नहीं आने देता है, और परीक्षा के साथ, उससे निकलने का मार्ग भी प्रदान करता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13)। किन्तु शैतान, मनुष्य से अधिक सामर्थी और बुद्धिमान होने के कारण, अपनी इस स्थिति का लाभ उठाते हुए, अदन की वाटिका के समय से ही अपनी कुटिलता में, अनुचित रीति से मनुष्य को पाप करने के लिये बहकाता, भरमाता, गिराता, और पाप में फँसाता चला आया है। 

क्योंकि शैतान ने मनुष्य के साथ जो किया वह परमेश्वर के मानकों के अनुसार अस्वीकार्य और अनुचित था, इसीलिए एक सच्चा, खरा, और निष्पक्ष न्यायी होने के कारण, जैसा प्रेरितों 17:30 में लिखा है, परमेश्वर धूर्तता और धोखे द्वारा लोगों से करवाए गये पापों को भी अज्ञानता के समय में किए गए पाप मानता है। वह उनके लिए तुरंत दण्ड देने के स्थान पर, दण्ड देने में आनाकानी करता है, उनके प्रति धैर्य दिखाता है, और वह न केवल पाप करने वालों को उनके पापों तथा परिणामों के प्रति सचेत करता है, बल्कि, उनके लिए पश्चाताप करने और दण्ड से बच निकलने का अवसर भी प्रदान करता है। 

साथ ही यहाँ पर ध्यान देने योग्य एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात देखने को मिलती है, उनके पापों के निवारण और दण्ड से बचने के लिए परमेश्वर लोगों को अपनी व्यवस्था का पालन करने के लिए नहीं कहता है; वरन वह उन्हें पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने के लिए कहता है। प्रकट है कि पापों के समाधान और उनके दण्ड से बचने का मार्ग परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था का पालन नहीं, वरन पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करना, अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करना है।

आज हम इसी से संबंधित एक और महत्वपूर्ण बात पर विचार करेंगे - यदि पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी पाप करे, तो उसके लिए परमेश्वर का क्या समाधान है? यह एक प्रकट तथ्य है कि मसीही विश्वासी भी पाप करते हैं। जैसा हमने पहले के लेखों में देखा है, जब भी वे अपनी किसी अनाज्ञाकारिता, सांसारिक लालसा, भौतिक बातों के लालच, या शैतान के बहकावे में आकर, उनके लिये परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित बाड़े को तोड़ते हैं, तो तुरंत ही शैतान उन्हें डस लेता है (सभोपदेशक 10:8), और पाप का विष उनमें डाल देता है। 

परमेश्वर भी इस बात को जानता है, और परमेश्वर के लोगों ने भी अपने जीवनों के उदाहरणों से इस बात को स्वीकार किया है, जिसे परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने पवित्र शास्त्र बाइबल में लिखवाया भी है। प्रभु यीशु का भाई याकूब अपनी पत्री में स्वीकार करता है कि वह भी, और उसके साथ के अन्य उपदेशक भी, सभी वचन के पालन में कभी-कभी नहीं, वरन बहुत बार चूक जाते हैं (याकूब 3:2)। इसी प्रकार से प्रेरित पौलुस भी पाप के साथ अपने निरंतर संघर्ष को, जिसमें कई बार पाप जयवंत होकर उससे अनुचित करवा देता है, स्वीकार करता है और मान लेता है कि अभी भी पाप उसमें बसा हुआ है (रोमियों 7:15-20)। प्रेरित यूहन्ना, 1 यूहन्ना 1:8-10 में, “हम” का प्रयोग करके यह स्वीकार कर रहा है कि उद्धार पाने के बाद भी पाप करने वालों में वह भी सम्मिलित है। यूहन्ना तो यहाँ तक कहता है कि जो इस बात को अस्वीकार करता है वह न केवल अपने आप को धोखा देता है, वरन परमेश्वर को भी झूठा ठहराता है।

शैतान, पहले तो अपने मनुष्य से अधिक सामर्थी और चतुर होने का अनुचित लाभ उठाकर मनुष्यों को, उद्धार पाए हुए प्रभु के लोगों को भी, पाप में गिराता और फँसाता है; और फिर उसके बाद, परमेश्वर के सामने उन पर दोष लगाता है, उन्हें भी दण्ड के योग्य प्रमाणित करने का दिन-रात प्रयास करता है (प्रकाशितवाक्य 12:10)। किन्तु शैतान की इस चाल का दोहरा समाधान प्रभु परमेश्वर ने हम उद्धार पाए हुए लोगों के लिए करके दे रखा है। पहला है कि उसके इस दोष लगाने को व्यर्थ करने के लिए हमारा उद्धारकर्ता प्रभु यीशु, हमारा सहायक बन कर परमेश्वर के सामने हमारी पैरवी करता रहता है (1 यूहन्ना 2:1-2), और शैतान द्वारा लगाए जा रहे इन अवैध दोषों से हमें बरी करता रहता है। दूसरा समाधान है परमेश्वर द्वारा हमें दिया गया आश्वासन, “यदि हम अपने पापों को मान लें, तो वह हमारे पापों को क्षमा करने, और हमें सब अधर्म से शुद्ध करने में विश्वासयोग्य और धर्मी है” (1 यूहन्ना 1:9)।

अगले लेख में हम इसी विषय पर कुछ और बातों को देखेंगे। परन्तु अभी के लिये परमेश्वर के सभी के प्रति प्रेमी, धीरजवन्त, क्षमाशील बने रहने के स्वभाव पर गहराई और गम्भीरता से विचार कीजिये; और यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

God’s Prescribed Solution for Sin – Repentance, not Law (Part 1)

In the previous article we saw that God is an impartial, honest and upright Judge, He does not show any partiality. Whether one accepts him or not, remains obedient to him or not; but the standards of God's justice are always one and the same for all, they never change. Even to those who do not accept him, do not believe in Him, oppose Him, He gives ample opportunity to escape the punishment of their sins, and hence asks them to repent for their sins.

 

God neither tempts anyone with evil (James 1:13), nor allows man to be tempted beyond his capabilities; and, along with the temptation, God also provides a way out of it (1 Corinthians 10:13). But Satan, being more powerful and wiser than man, took advantage of this superiority, and since the time of the Garden of Eden, through his craftiness, has been beguiling and enticing man into falling into committing sin, and remaining trapped in a state of sin. 

Since what Satan did to man was unfair and unacceptable by God's standards, therefore, being an upright, honest, and unbiased Judge, God considers the sins committed by the people in a state of deception through deviousness, to be sins committed in times of ignorance, as written in Acts 17:30. Hence instead of immediately punishing them for those sins, He shows forbearance, is ready to overlook them, and He not only cautions the sinners regarding their sins and consequences, and also provides an opportunity for them to repent and escape the punishment. 

We also see a very important thing to note here in this verse, God, for the redressal of their sins and to be delivered from the punishment, does not ask the people to obey His Law. Rather, He tells them to repent of their sins. This makes it quite evident that the way to resolve the problem of sins and of being delivered from their punishment is not following God's Law of the Old Testament, but to repent of sins, and accept the Lord Jesus as Savior, and submit one,s life to Him.

Today we will consider another important point related to this - if a Born-Again Christian, one who has received forgiveness of sins, is saved; if he commits a sin, what is God's solution for him? It is an evident fact that even the saved and Born-Again Christians do sin. As we've seen in earlier articles, whenever, because of their disobedience, or worldly and physical lusts, materialistic greeds, or because of Satan's deceptions, they break out of the hedge set by God for them, Satan bites them (Ecclesiastes 10:8), and injects the poison of sin into them. 

God also knows this, and God's people have also acknowledged this as is seen from the examples of their lives, which God's Holy Spirit has written down in the Holy Scripture, the Bible. James, the brother of the Lord Jesus, acknowledges in his letter that he, and the others with him fail to keep the Word, not sometimes, but oftentimes (James 3:2). Similarly, the apostle Paul accepted his constant struggle with sin, in which sin sometimes overpowered him and made him do something wrong, and he also accepted that sin still resides in him (Romans 7:15-20). The apostle John, in 1 John 1:8-10, is using "we" to acknowledge that he is among those who sin even after being saved. John even goes so far as to say that the one who denies this, not only deceives himself, but calls God a liar.

Satan, first taking undue advantage of being more powerful and smarter than man, makes him, even the saved people of the Lord, fall and commit sins; and then, he accuses them day and night before God of committing sin, trying to prove them worthy of punishment (Revelation 12:10). But the Lord God has provided a double solution for His saved people to escape this satanic attack. The first is that our Savior, the Lord Jesus, as our helper and advocate, continues to defend us before God (1 John 2:1-2), to nullify his charges, and save us from his illegitimate accusations. The second is God's assurance to us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

In the next article, we will see a few more things about this. But for now, ponder deeply and seriously on the loving, patient, forgiving nature of God towards everyone. If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
