हम मसीही विश्वासी के परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के प्रति योग्य भण्डारी होने का अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। जैसा प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने यूहन्ना 14:16 में कहा है, प्रभु के प्रत्येक शिष्य को पवित्र आत्मा प्रदान किया गया है, उसका सहायक, या, साथी होने के लिए। पिछले दो लेखों में हमने देखा था कि कुछ विश्वासियों में यह प्रवृत्ति होती है कि पवित्र आत्मा को उनके स्थान पर उनका काम करने के लिए उपयोग करें। विभिन्न बातों को आधार बनाकर वे परमेश्वर को उनके स्थान पर उनके कार्यों और जिम्मेदारियों को पूरा करने के लिए कहते हैं। हमने देखा था कि बाइबल के अनुसार यह सर्वथा गलत धारणा है, जिसका परमेश्वर के वचन में कोई समर्थन नहीं है। साथ ही, परमेश्वर के वचन में ऐसा कहीं कोई उदाहरण नहीं है कि परमेश्वर ने किसी व्यक्ति से उसके कार्य को लेकर उसके स्थान पर उस कार्य को पूरा कर दिया हो, चाहे उस व्यक्ति की परिस्थिति कितनी भी कठिन क्यों न रही हो। और इसलिए ऐसा करने की सारी प्रार्थनाएँ हमेशा ही अनुत्तरित ही रहेंगी, क्योंकि उनका आधार ही अनुचित है। आज हम परमेश्वर पर ज़िम्मेदारी डाल कर उस से कार्य को करने के लिए कहने से सम्बन्धित एक अनकहे और उपेक्षित तथ्य को देखेंगे।

ज़रा विचार कीजिए, जो कमजोरियाँ और समस्याएँ, जो अनुशासनहीनता, जो पाप, ऐसी सभी बातें जिनके लिये विश्वासी कहते हैं कि वे उन बातों पर जयवंत होने में अपने आप में असमर्थ हैं; वे बहुधा या सामान्यतः हृदय या मन-मस्तिष्क में रहने वाली बातें कही जा सकती हैं; अर्थात, निराकार या बाहर से दिखाई न देने वाले, या मन के अन्दर की बातों से सम्बन्धित पाप हैं। वे विश्वासी चाहते हैं कि वे उनसे निकल सकें परन्तु अपने ही प्रयासों से निकल नहीं पा रहे हैं। और क्योंकि उनके अपने प्रयास असफल रहे हैं, इसलिए वे चाहते हैं कि अब परमेश्वर ही उनके स्थान पर उनके लिए कुछ कर के दे, कि वे उन बातों से छूट सकें। ऐसी बातों के कुछ उदाहरण हैं पापमय विचार, गलत अथवा वर्जित, या अनुचित, या नियंत्रित उपयोग की बातों के लिये स्वयं पर नियन्त्रण न रख पाना, ऐसा जीवन जीना जिसमें विचारों और लालसाओं में अनुशासनहीनता, दोगलापन, द्वेष, अहंकार, क्रोध आदि हों, साँसारिक लालसाओं, आनन्द, और विलास की बातों में बारंबार गिरते रहना, सच्चे मन से क्षमा नहीं करने की प्रवृत्ति, एक कमज़ोर आत्मिक एवं प्रार्थना का जीवन होना, आदि। लेकिन बहुत ही कम ऐसा होता है कि मसीही विश्वासी किसी भौतिक या शारीरिक, अर्थात साकार या प्रकट दिखने वाली बात के लिए, जैसे कि गाली-गलौज़ करते रहना, लुचपन के प्रत्यक्ष व्यवहार में संलग्न रहना, चोरी या असामाजिक कार्यों में लिप्त होना, या किसी प्रकट अनुचित, व्यभिचारी, अथवा अनैतिक व्यवहार, आदि में पड़े होने के लिए ऐसा कहता है; अर्थात उन बातों में जिन्हें अन्य लोग अथवा विश्वासी सरलता से देख सकते हैं और उसकी आलोचना कर सकते हैं। उनके द्वारा ऐसी सभी प्रकट गलत या अनुचित गतिविधियाँ यत्न के साथ नियन्त्रण में तथा अच्छे से ढाँप कर रखी जाती हैं। लेकिन जो मन-मस्तिष्क में चल रहा होता है, क्योंकि वह औरों पर सरलता से प्रकट नहीं होता है, इसलिए जीवन में स्थान भी बनाए रखता है। यद्यपि विश्वासी जानता है कि यह सब बातें अन्दर रखना गलत है, किन्तु फिर भी वे अपने जीवन में उनकी उपस्थिति से संघर्ष करते रहते हैं - उनपर वैसा नियन्त्रण नहीं रखते हैं जैसा वे विदित और प्रकट बातों पर रखते हैं।

अब, यदि विश्वासी प्रकट और शारीरिक गलत व्यवहार पर नियंत्रण रख लेता है, उस पर जयवंत होने पाता है, तो फिर वह अप्रत्यक्ष बातों और अनुचित विचारों आदि पर, अपने अन्दर की पापमय आदतों, और हृदय, मन-मस्तिष्क की गलत बातों पर, उसी तरह से नियंत्रण क्यों नहीं रखने पाता, उन पर जयवंत क्यों नहीं होने पाता है? जब कि, जैसा प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने मरकुस 7:21-23 में कहा है, ये दोनों ही प्रकार के पाप, शारीरिक और मानसिक, एक ही स्थान से, मनुष्य के हृदय से, निकलते हैं। तो फिर ऐसा क्यों है कि ये विश्वासी कुछ को, अर्थात बाहर प्रकट दिखने वालों को नियंत्रित रख सकते हैं, किन्तु कुछ अन्य को, अर्थात, अन्दर छिपी हुई बातों को नियंत्रित नहीं रख सकते हैं, उनमें गिरते रहते हैं? परमेश्वर हमें आज्ञा देता है कि हम शरीर और आत्मा, अर्थात बाहरी और भीतरी, दोनों प्रकार की मलिनता से अपने आप को स्वच्छ करें “सो हे प्यारो जब कि ये प्रतिज्ञाएं हमें मिली हैं, तो आओ, हम अपने आप को शरीर और आत्मा की सब मलिनता से शुद्ध करें, और परमेश्वर का भय रखते हुए पवित्रता को सिद्ध करें” (2 कुरिन्थियों 7:1)। हमने पिछले लेखों में जो देखा है, उसके सन्दर्भ में, यदि यह नियन्त्रण रख पाना उसके बच्चों के लिए संभव नहीं होता, तो क्या परमेश्वर उन से ऐसा करने के लिए कहता? अर्थात, क्योंकि विश्वासियों के लिये यह नियन्त्रण रखना संभव है, इसीलिए परमेश्वर ने विश्वासियों से यह करने के लिए भी कहा है।

वास्तविकता यही है कि परमेश्वर ने हमें बताया है कि यह कैसे किया जा सकता है – अपने मनों को परमेश्वर के वचन से भर लेने और यत्न के साथ परमेश्वर के वचन के आज्ञाकारी बने रहने के द्वारा - भजन 119:2-4, 9, 11. किन्तु ये विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई का, अर्थात् प्रभु के इन निर्देशों का पालन नहीं करते हैं। उनका अहम् में होकर, या अहंकारी होकर, सच्चे मन से क्षमा न करने वाला, कठोर हृदय रखने वाला हो कर कार्य करना, आदि बातें, उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन का आज्ञाकारी होने से रोके रखती हैं; वे बाहर से चाहे जितने भी विनम्र और भक्त क्यों न दिखाई दें। इसीलिए, वे जिसका प्रचार करते हैं, बजाए उसका निर्वाह भी करने के, बजाए वास्तव में सच्चे मन से विनम्र, क्षमा करने वाला, और परमेश्वर का आज्ञाकारी होने के, वे सरल किन्तु बाइबल के विपरीत मार्ग को चुन लेते हैं, कि परमेश्वर उनके लिए उनकी समस्याओं का समाधान कर के दे, और यही प्रार्थना करते रहते हैं।

 

हो सकता है कि ये विश्वासी अपनी प्रार्थनाओं में अपनी कमजोरियों का सार्वजनिक अंगीकार भी कर लें, जिस से वे अपने श्रोताओं को बहुत विनम्र, भक्त, और परमेश्वर का भय रखने वाला प्रतीत होते हैं; किन्तु फिर भी उनके जीवनों से उनकी वे समस्याएँ कभी जाती नहीं हैं; इतनी बार और इन सभी प्रार्थनाओं के, और कमजोरियों के अंगीकार के बावजूद, जिन्हें वे हर अवसर पर दोहराते रहते हैं। इससे भी अधिक दुखद बात यह है कि वे औरों को भी यही गलती करना सिखाते रहते हैं। विडंबना यह है कि वे जानते हैं कि उनके जीवनों में इस तरीके ने कोई काम नहीं किया है, लेकिन फिर भी वे औरों को उसी गलती को करना बताते और सिखाते है, और श्रोता भी उसे स्वीकार कर के वैसा ही करते हैं, और फिर उनके जीवनों में भी वैसी ही असफल प्रार्थनाएँ दिखाई देती हैं। इस असफलता का ज़िम्मेदार बहुधा या तो विश्वास की कमज़ोरी होने को ठहरा दिया जाता है, अथवा परमेश्वर के उपयुक्त समय और तरीके से उत्तर मिलने की प्रतीक्षा करने पर टाल दिया जाता है। लेकिन कभी कोई भी परमेश्वर के निर्देशों का पालन न करने की अपनी गलती को स्वीकार कर के उसे सुधारता नहीं है।

अगले लेख में हम इसी बात पर और आगे देखेंगे, और इस स्थिति का एक संभव समाधान समझेंगे। 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

We are studying a Christian Believer’s being a steward of God the Holy Spirit, who has been given to every disciple of the Lord Jesus to be their Helper, or, Companion, as promised by the Lord Jesus in John 14:16. In the previous two articles we have seen how some believers have a tendency of trying to use the Holy Spirit as their substitute, asking God to do their works, to fulfil their responsibilities, instead of them, on various grounds. We have also seen how, Biblically speaking, this is a wrong notion that has no support from God’s Word. Moreover, there is no example in God’s Word of God ever having taken over from someone to fulfil their work and responsibilities, no matter how difficult the situation may have been for that person. And therefore, all the prayers to do this will always remain unanswered, since their very basis is incorrect. Today we will see an unspoken and unacknowledged fact about having this tendency of passing the responsibility to God and asking Him to do the work instead.

Think it over, the weaknesses and problems, the undisciplined life, the sins, all such things for which the Believers say that they find themselves incapable to be victorious over, on their own; they are all, generally speaking things that reside within their hearts and/or minds, i.e., the non-tangible, or, non-visible things. The Believers want to be delivered from those sinful things, but are unable to do so on their own. Since all their efforts to overcome them have been unsuccessful, therefore they want God to do something about it for them, so that they will be delivered from them. Some examples of these can be sinful thoughts, the lack of self-control regarding wrong, or inappropriate, or forbidden, or restricted things, living a life of having indiscipline, hypocrisy, jealousy, egoism, anger etc. in their hearts and minds, maintaining a tendency to keep falling for worldly desires and pleasures, a nature of being non-forgiving, having a poor prayer or spiritual life, etc. But it hardly ever is something physical, i.e., visible or tangible, e.g., using abusive language, being involved in lewd conversations, indulging in things like robbery, unsocial behavior, or stealing from others, or maintaining some kind of evident inappropriate, adulterous, or lustful behavior etc. In other words, things that other people and other Believers can readily see and criticize the person for. All such evident activities are carefully and diligently controlled and carefully kept under tight wraps by the Believers. But what goes on in the heart and mind, since it is not readily apparent to others, continues to find a place in their lives. Even though the Believer knows that it is wrong to have these things in them, yet they continue to struggle with their presence in their lives - they do not control them as they control the evident and seen things.

Now, if the Believers can get over and control their visible and physical wrong or inappropriate behavior, why is it that they are they not able to similarly take care of the non-tangible, non-visible things, their inappropriate thoughts, their internal sinful habits, the wrong things in their minds or hearts, etc.? That too when, as the Lord Jesus has said, the physical as well as the non-physical sins, they both come from the same place within man, from his heart Mark 7:21-23? So, why is it that they are able to control some, i.e., the externally manifest, and unable to control the others, i.e., the internally hidden? God commands us to cleanse ourselves of filthiness of both the flesh as well as the spirit, i.e., the external as well as the internal, “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1). In light of what we have seen in the preceding articles, would God have said this, that we cleanse ourselves, if it was not feasible for His children to do it? In other words, since it is possible, that is why God has asked His children to do it.

In fact, the Lord has told us how to do it – by filling our hearts with God’s Word and diligently being obedient to God’s Word - Psalm 119:2-4, 9, 11. But these Believers do not follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, i.e., the Lord's instructions about doing this. Their being egoistic, being unforgiving, being hard-hearted, etc., all keep them from accepting this guilt and obeying God’s Word, no matter how pious and humble they may appear from the outside. So, instead of practicing what they often preach, instead of actually being humble, forgiving, and obedient to God, they take the easy but unBiblical way out, i.e., of asking God to solve their problem for them.

 

They may even acknowledge their shortcomings publicly in their prayers, that make them appear very humble, pious and God-fearing to their audience. But those problems never go away from their lives despite all these prayers and acknowledgements, which they keep repeating time and again at every opportunity. The even sadder part is that they also teach others to do the same. Ironically, they know that this method has not worked in their own lives, yet they preach and teach it for others to do the same, and many in the audience accept and do the same, with the same discouraging results. This failure is often attributed to either a weakness of faith in asking, or to waiting for God’s appropriate time and method of answering the prayers, but never to their own shortcoming of not following God’s instructions; and no amends are made for this shortcoming. 

In the next article we will continue to look into this and see a possible solution to this situation.

 If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पुनःअवलोकन: पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि दाऊद के बाद इस्राएल का राजा होने के लिए सुलैमान को परमेश्वर ने चुना था। लेकिन इस से उसे यह निश्चितता नहीं थी कि उसका जीवन सहज होगा, और वह बातों को यूँ ही हलके में ले सकता है। बल्कि उसे अपने आप को तैयार करना था कि वह समस्याओं का सामना कर सके और परमेश्वर की सहायता एवं मार्गदर्शन द्वारा उन बातों पर जयवंत हो सके। यही बात प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए भी लागू होती है; प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को उस पर शैतान द्वारा लाई जा रही समस्याओं का सामना करना ही होगा। किन्तु यदि वह प्रभु के प्रति समर्पित और आज्ञाकारी बना रहे, तो न केवल वह उन से छूटने पाएगा वरन उनके कारण आशीषित भी होगा (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:17; 1 पतरस 3:14)।

युवावस्था से ही दाऊद बहुत साहसी पुरुष था (1 शमूएल 17:34-37), और बाद में एक सुप्रसिद्ध शूरवीर योद्धा भी बना गया था (1 शमूएल 16:18; 18:7; 2 शमूएल 17:8)। आस-पास के राजाओं और राज्यों में यह साहस नहीं था कि जब तक वह गद्दी पर था, इस्राएल पर राज कर रहा था, उसके साथ किसी भी प्रकार की कोई छेड़खानी करें (भजन 18:37-48)। लेकिन उसका उत्तराधिकारी सुलैमान जब राजा बना, तब वह लड़का ही था, और युद्ध तथा शासन कला में अनुभवहीन था (1 राजाओं 3:7)। इसलिए दाऊद के तथा इस्राएल के शत्रुओं को यह प्रलोभन हो सकता था कि दाऊद के देहांत के बाद अपना बदला लें; और सुलैमान के साथ वह करें, जो वे दाऊद के साथ नहीं करने पाए थे। इसीलिए दाऊद सुलैमान को ये निर्देश देता है कि इस्राएल का आशीषित एवं सफल राजा होने के लिए उसे सदा ही परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखने वाला, उसी पर निर्भर होना होगा, और परमेश्वर को ही अपना सहायक और अपनी सुरक्षा बनाना होगा।

यहाँ पर यह बहुत ध्यान देने योग्य बात है कि यद्यपि दाऊद ने अपने जीवन में बहुत से युद्ध लड़े थे, और एक शूरवीर योद्धा होने की ख्याति प्राप्त की थी (1 शमूएल 18:7), और एक राजा होने पर एक बहुत विशाल सेना भी खड़ी कर ली थी (1 इतिहास 21:5-6), लेकिन फिर भी वह सुलैमान से सुरक्षा तथा बचाव के लिए उस सेना और उन अनुभवी योद्धाओं में भरोसा रखने, जिसे वह विरासत में प्राप्त कर रहा है, या उस सेना को और अधिक बढ़ा लेने के लिए नहीं कहता है। दाऊद अपने जीवन और अनुभवों से जानता था कि सुलैमान के सुरक्षित रहने और समृद्ध होने का एकमात्र तरीका किन्हीं सांसारिक बातों से नहीं है; बल्कि केवल परमेश्वर की सहायता, मार्गदर्शन, बुद्धिमत्ता, और सामर्थ्य के द्वारा है।

परमेश्वर चाहता है कि हम मसीही विश्वासी इस पाठ को भली-भांति सीख लें; विशेषकर इन अंत के दिनों में जब परमेश्वर की संतानों का विरोध और सताव बढ़ता और बिगड़ता ही जा रहा है। लेकिन हमें हमेशा ही यह ध्यान रखना होगा कि सिंहासन पर परमेश्वर ही विराजमान है (भजन 46:10)। वह हम में से प्रत्येक के बारे में सब कुछ जानता है। उसे हमारी परिस्थितियों और आवश्यकताओं के बारे में, तथा उनके लिए क्या करना है, यह भली-भांति पता है। हमें उस पर भरोसा रखना और उसका आज्ञाकारी होना, तथा हम में होकर और हमारे लिए उसे अपनी इच्छा को पूरा करने देने को सीखना ही होगा, जिससे कि हम आशीषित और सफल बन सकें, तथा उसके नाम की महिमा हो। हमारी सुरक्षा और बचाव किसी “सांसारिक सेना”, या संसार के लोगों, सांसारिक सामर्थ्य, और सांसारिक तरीकों से नहीं है, बल्कि केवल प्रभु परमेश्वर के द्वारा है, चाहे हमें कुछ समय के लिए कुछ दुःख भी क्यों न उठाने पड़ें (1 पतरस 5:10; 2 पतरस 2:9)।

Introduction – 2

Review: In the previous article we have seen that Solomon was God’s choice to be king over Israel after David. But this did not guarantee him that he will have an easy life, and he can take things for granted. Rather, he had to prepare himself to face problems and overcome them through God’s help and guidance. The same holds true for every Christian Believer as well; every Christian Believer will face problems brought upon him by Satan. But if he remains submitted and obedient to the Lord, he will not only be delivered out of them but also be blessed because of them (2 Corinthians 4:17; 1 Peter 3:14).

Even as a young lad David was a very courageous person (1 Samuel 17:34-37), and later on was a well-known warrior (1 Samuel 16:18; 18:7; 2 Samuel 17:8). The surrounding kings and kingdoms did not have the guts to meddle with him in any manner, while he was on the throne, ruling Israel (Psalm 18:37-48). But his successor, Solomon, when he became king, was young, was inexperienced in war, as well as statesmanship (1 Kings 3:7). Therefore, the enemies of David and Israel could easily have been tempted to take their revenge upon him after David's death; and do to Solomon what they could not do to David. Therefore, David instructs Solomon that to remain blessed and successful as King of Israel, he always has to remain totally trusting, obedient and dependent upon God, to let God be his help and security.

It is very important to note over here that though in his lifetime David had fought many battles, gained a reputation of being valiant warrior (1 Samuel 18:7), and as king, had built up a huge army (1 Chronicles 21:5-6), but he does not instruct Solomon to trust in the army or the seasoned warriors he is inheriting, nor asks him to increase the army further for his safety and security. David, from his own life and experiences knew that the only way Solomon would stay safe, as well as prosper will not be through any worldly means, but will only be through the help, guidance, wisdom, and strength from God.

God wants us Christian Believers to learn this lesson, and learn it well; more so in these end-times, when opposition and persecution of God’s children is spreading, and will only increase and go from bad to worse. But we need to always keep in mind that God is on the throne (Psalm 46:10). He knows everything about every one of us. He well knows our situations and our needs, and how to manage them for us. We have to learn to be trusting in Him, be obedient to Him, and allow Him to do His will in and through us, so that we can be blessed and successful, while His name is glorified. Our safety and security are not through, or because of any “earthly army” or worldly people, powers, and means, but through the Lord God, even if we have to suffer for some time (1 Peter 5:10; 2 Peter 2:9).

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में और भी अनेकों पद हैं जो यह दिखाते हैं कि मसीही जीवन संघर्ष का और संसार के लोगों के बैर और विरोध का निरंतर सामना करते रहने का जीवन है; और जो भी प्रभु यीशु के पीछे चलना चाहता है, उसे यह सब सहने के लिए तैयार रहना चाहिए। किन्तु साथ ही प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को यह परमेश्वर से आश्वासन भी है कि उसकी प्रत्येक परिस्थिति में प्रभु उसके साथ होगा, उसे समझ, शक्ति, और शांति देगा कि वह उन परिस्थितियों का सामना कर सके “मैं ने ये बातें तुम से इसलिये कही हैं, कि तुम्हें मुझ में शान्ति मिले; संसार में तुम्हें क्लेश होता है, परन्तु ढाढ़स बांधो, मैं ने संसार को जीत लिया है” (यूहन्ना 16:33), और उसे उन सब में से भी सुरक्षित निकाल कर लाएगा, और अंततः सब बातें मिलकर प्रभु के जन के लिए भलाई ही को उत्पन्न करेंगी “और हम जानते हैं, कि जो लोग परमेश्वर से प्रेम रखते हैं, उन के लिये सब बातें मिलकर भलाई ही को उत्पन्न करती है; अर्थात उन्हीं के लिये जो उस की इच्छा के अनुसार बुलाए हुए हैं” (रोमियों 8:28)। 

    पूरा नया नियम इस बात का गवाह है कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह के शिष्यों को हर स्थान पर, अपनी सारी सेवकाई के दिनों में बहुत से दुखों, क्लेशों, और सताव का सामना करना पड़ा है। जीवन कभी भी उनके लिए सहज और सरल नहीं रहा; वरन जिनके मध्य में होकर उन्होंने प्रभु की सेवकाई की और जिन लोगों की भलाई की, उन्हीं में से उनके बैरियों-विरोधियों ने निकलकर उनके लिए बहुत परेशानियाँ उत्पन्न कीं। किन्तु फिर भी जिसने एक बार प्रभु के प्रेम, कृपा, अनुग्रह, और उद्धार के स्वाद को चख लिया, एक बार जिसने प्रभु की शान्ति और आशीष को अपने जीवन में तमाम कठिनाइयों और मुसीबतों के मध्य में अनुभव कर लिया, जिसने एक बार प्रभु यीशु मसीह की वास्तविकता और खराई को पहचान लिया, फिर संसार के ये क्लेश उसके लिए निराश का नहीं, वरन उस अद्भुत, उत्तम स्वर्गीय आशा का प्रमाण बन गए, जो परमेश्वर ने उसके लिए रखी हुई है, और उस उत्तम आशीष की लालसा रखते हुए वे इन सभी बातों को सहर्ष सहन कर लेते हैं “क्योंकि हमारा पल भर का हल्का सा क्लेश हमारे लिये बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण और अनन्त महिमा उत्पन्न करता जाता है। और हम तो देखी हुई वस्तुओं को नहीं परन्तु अनदेखी वस्तुओं को देखते रहते हैं, क्योंकि देखी हुई वस्तुएं थोड़े ही दिन की हैं, परन्तु अनदेखी वस्तुएं सदा बनी रहती हैं” (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:17-18)। फिर शारीरिक चंगाई का उसके लिए कोई विशेष महत्व नहीं है, क्योंकि वह व्यक्ति जानता है कि एक दिन तो शरीर ने मिटना ही है; और जो भी रोग या अस्वस्थता उसमें है, प्रभु उसमें भी उसकी सहायता करेगा, उसे आशीष देगा “और उसने मुझ से कहा, मेरा अनुग्रह तेरे लिये बहुत है; क्योंकि मेरी सामर्थ्य निर्बलता में सिद्ध होती है; इसलिये मैं बड़े आनन्द से अपनी निर्बलताओं पर घमण्ड करूंगा, कि मसीह की सामर्थ्य मुझ पर छाया करती रहे। इस कारण मैं मसीह के लिये निर्बलताओं, और निन्‍दाओं में, और दरिद्रता में, और उपद्रवों में, और संकटों में, प्रसन्न हूं; क्योंकि जब मैं निर्बल होता हूं, तभी बलवन्‍त होता हूं” (2 कुरिन्थियों 12:9-10)।

In the previous article we had started to consider the question "By being saved and Born-Again, and becoming a disciple of Lord Jesus Christ, is a person delivered from the worldly problems and pains, from sickness, adverse situations etc. and begins to live a life free of problems of the world?" and seek its answer from the Bible. We had seen that in the Bible, in the gospel accounts, neither the Lord Jesus, nor after the Lord His disciples engaged in Christian Ministry, ever give any such teaching or assurance to anyone. Rather, not only the Lord, but also the Disciples made it very clear that the life of Christian Faith is a life of continually suffering pain, persecution, and problems. Therefore, those who while preaching the gospel say that, after coming into the Christian Faith a person delivered from the worldly problems and pains, from sickness, adverse situations etc. and begins to live a life free of problems of the world preach their own contrived idea and not the facts of the Bible. Today we will continue to further ponder over this topic.  

In God's Word the Bible, there are many other verses that show that the Christian life is a life of struggles, of facing the opposition of the world and persecution from the worldly people; and anyone who wants to follow the Lord Jesus, should be ready to face and suffer all of this. But every Christian Believer also has this assurance from God that in every problem and situation he faces, God will be with him, give him the required wisdom, power, and peace to face those situations, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33), will safely carry him through those circumstances safe and secure, and eventually all things will work together for the good of the follower of the Lord “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

The whole of the New Testament is a witness to this fact that the followers of the Lord Jesus faced a lot of problems, pains, and persecutions during their ministry and Christian service. Life was never easy or convenient for them; rather, the very people amongst whom they served the Lord and did good for them, from those very people many turned against them and created a lot of problems for them. Nevertheless, anyone who has once experienced the Lord’s love, kindness, grace, and salvation, anyone who has experienced the peace and blessings of the Lord Jesus, even in all the hardships and problems he had to face, he who has come to realize the truth and reality of the Lord Jesus Christ, for him these problems and persecutions of the world became not a cause of being despondent, but a proof of the wonderful, excellent heavenly blessings that God has kept for them; and for the hope of those blessings, they continued to suffer all of this with joy “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). For such a person, physical healing has no significance, since he knows that eventually the body will die, someday; and presently whatever illness or weakness he may be having, the Lord will help him through it, and bless him because of it “And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). 

No Christian Believer should get perturbed about these circumstances and situations, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So, we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"” (Hebrews 13:5-6). Moreover, the Lord has also assured His disciples that He will never allow them to be tempted beyond their limits “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). Satan and his people will make many attempts and efforts to discourage us and make us fail and fall, to become weak and distracted in our faith, to doubt the Lord and His Word. But do not get carried away by the things being spread by Satan, but make full use of the opportunity you have to utilize the Lord’s love, kindness, grace, and offer of forgiveness of sins being extended to you. The Lord Jesus has done His part; He has made ready and available salvation with all the benefits freely to everyone; but have you accepted His offer? Have you taken His hand of love and grace extended towards you and the free gift He offers; or are you still determined to do that which no man can ever accomplish through his own efforts?

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

    पिछले कुछ लेखों में हम पाप और उस के समाधान, उद्धार, के बारे में परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की शिक्षाओं को देखते आए हैं। उद्धार के बारे में हम बाइबल की शिक्षाओं को तीन महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्नों के अंतर्गत देखते आ रहे हैं। ये प्रश्न हैं: 

*यह उद्धार, अर्थात बचाव, या सुरक्षा किस से और क्यों होना है?

*व्यक्ति इस उद्धार को कैसे प्राप्त कर सकता है?

*इसके लिए यह इतना आवश्यक क्यों हुआ कि स्वयं परमेश्वर प्रभु यीशु को स्वर्ग छोड़कर सँसार में बलिदान होने के लिए आना पड़ा?

    अभी तक हम इनमें से पहले दो प्रश्नों के उत्तरों तथा उनके निष्कर्षों को बाइबल की शिक्षाओं के अनुसार को देख चुके हैं। साथ ही हमने तीन धर्मी, परमेश्वर के वचन के ज्ञाता और विद्वान, और समाज में उच्च ओहदा रखने वाले लोगों के जीवनों को भी देखा था, और उनसे सीखा था कि उनके ज्ञान और धार्मिकता के बावजूद वे परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होने की स्थिति में नहीं थे, और स्वयं उनका विवेक उन्हें इसके लिए बेचैन करता था। अब तीसरा प्रश्न - समाधान के लिए प्रभु यीशु के आने के बारे में देखना बाकी है; किन्तु इस सबसे महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न को देखने से पहले, जो बातें हम अभी तक पिछले लेखों में देख और सीख चुके हैं, उन्हें ध्यान कर लेना, उनका पुनः अवलोकन कर लेना अच्छा रहेगा, जिससे परमेश्वर के मनुष्य बनकर, सभी मनुष्यों के पापों के लिए अपने आप को बलिदान कर देने को समझने में हमें कोई असमंजस न हो।

 

पाप क्या है

* बाइबल के अनुसार, पाप की परिभाषा और व्याख्या किसी मनुष्य अथवा मनुष्यों के अनुसार नहीं है; वरन इसे स्वयं परमेश्वर ने बताया है। उसने जो कहा और निर्धारित किया है, अन्ततः वही माना जाएगा, और उसी के अनुसार ही सब को और सब कुछ को जाँचा-परखा जाएगा, हर निर्णय लिया जाएगा (यूहन्ना 12:48; 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:11-13)।

 

* परमेश्वर ने बताया है कि पाप केवल कुछ शारीरिक कार्य करना ही नहीं है, वरन, मूलतः, परमेश्वर के नियमों, उसकी व्यवस्था का उल्लंघन करना है (1 यूहन्ना 3:4)। किसी भी प्रकार का अधर्म पाप है (1 यूहन्ना 5:17), वह चाहे किसी भी बात या परिस्थिति के अन्तर्गत अथवा उद्देश्य से क्यों न किया गया हो।

* बाइबल सिखाती है कि पाप में होना एक मानसिक दशा है। हर प्रकार के पाप का आरंभ मन में होता है, और उचित परिस्थितियों एवँ समय में वह शारीरिक क्रियाओं में प्रगट हो जाता है (याकूब 1:14-15; मरकुस 7:20-23)। इसीलिए परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में विचारों में किए गए पाप भी वास्तव में किए गए पापों के समान ही दण्डनीय हैं (मत्ती 5:22, 28)।

* इसीलिए परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में ऐसे सभी प्रकार के विचार, दृष्टिकोण, भावनाएं, मनसा, प्रवृत्ति, कार्य, व्यवहार, इत्यादि पाप हैं जो उसके द्वारा दिए गए धार्मिकता के नियमों और मानकों के अनुसार उचित नहीं हैं, उन मानकों के अनुरूप नहीं हैं। ये बातें चाहे अभी मन ही में हों, किसी शारीरिक क्रिया में प्रकट नहीं भी हुई हों; किन्तु उनकी मन में उपस्थिति और बना हुआ स्थान ही मनुष्य को परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में “पापी” ठहराने के लिए पर्याप्त है।

पाप के परिणाम

* पवित्र, निष्पाप परमेश्वर पाप के साथ संगति नहीं कर सकता है।

 

* पाप परमेश्वर और मनुष्य में दीवार ले आता है, परस्पर संगति को तोड़ देता है। 

* पाप मनुष्यों में मृत्यु, अर्थात, मानवीय क्षमताओं और संदर्भ में, एक अपरिवर्तनीय बिछड़ जाना ले आता है। आत्मिक रीति से, मनुष्य परमेश्वर से पाप करते ही बिछड़ गया; और शारीरिक रीति से उसी दिन से उसका शरीर क्षय होना आरंभ हो गया, और अन्ततः मर गया। मृत्यु की यही दशा प्रथम मनुष्यों से उनकी संतानों में भी आई, और आज भी विद्यमान है। इसी समस्या का निवारण परमेश्वर ने प्रभु यीशु में होकर समस्त मानव जाति को उपलब्ध करवाया है। 

उद्धार और संबंधित बातें

* ‘उद्धार’ या ‘बचाव’ का अर्थ होता है “किसी खतरे अथवा हानि से सुरक्षा मिलना”; अर्थात उद्धार दिए जाने का अर्थ है बचाया जाना, सुरक्षित कर दिया जाना।

* उद्धार हमेशा परमेश्वर की ओर से दिया जाता है; कोई भी व्यक्ति कभी भी, किसी भी रीति से परमेश्वर के उद्धार को कमा नहीं सकता है; अपने किसी भी प्रयास से अपने आप को उद्धार प्राप्त करने का अधिकारी अथवा योग्य नहीं कर सकता है; अर्थात, अपने आप को स्वर्ग में प्रवेश और निवास के योग्य शुद्ध और पवित्र नहीं कर सकता है।

* परमेश्वर का समाधान, मनुष्य के स्वेच्छा तथा सच्चे मन से परमेश्वर के प्रति संपूर्ण विश्वास रखने, और अपने इस विश्वास पर आधारित परमेश्वर की सम्पूर्ण आज्ञाकारिता एवं समर्पण के साथ उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में जीवन व्यतीत करने के निर्णय कर लेने पर निर्भर है। 

* इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में मनुष्य को केवल परमेश्वर द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाए गए समाधान को अपने जीवन में कार्यान्वित करना है; उसमें अपनी कोई बात, योजना, विधि आदि नहीं सम्मिलित करनी है, और न ही किसी अन्य मनुष्य की मध्यस्थता अथवा योगदान को सम्मिलित करना है।

* यह उद्धार, अर्थात बचाव, या सुरक्षा किस से और क्यों होना है?

** किस से - उद्धार या बचाव पाप के दुष्प्रभावों से होना है, जिन के कारण मनुष्यों में आत्मिक एवं शारीरिक मृत्यु, डर, अहं, दोष, लज्जा, परमेश्वर से दूरी, अपनी गलतियों के लिए बहाने बनाना तथा दूसरों पर दोषारोपण करने, परमेश्वर की कृपा को नजरंदाज करने जैसी प्रवृत्ति और भावनाएं आ गई हैं। प्रभु यीशु मसीह हमें पाप के प्रभावों से मुक्त कर के “पवित्र, निष्कलंक, निर्दोष, बेदाग और बेझुर्री” बनाकर अपने साथ, अपनी कलीसिया, अर्थात मसीही विश्वासियों के कुल समुदाय को, अपनी दुल्हन बनाकर खड़ा करना चाहता है (इफिसियों 5:25-27)।

** क्यों - क्योंकि हमारा सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर हम सभी मनुष्यों से अभी भी, हमारी पाप में पतित दशा में भी प्रेम करता है, हमारे साथ संगति में रखना चाहता है, चाहता है कि हम उस से मेल-मिलाप कर लें, और उसके पुत्र-पुत्री होने के दर्जे को स्वीकार कर लें (यूहन्ना 1:2-13) और स्वर्ग के वारिस बन जाएं। वह हमें विनाश में नहीं आशीष में देखना चाहता है।

* व्यक्ति इस उद्धार को कैसे प्राप्त कर सकता है?

** पाप और उद्धार से संबंधित चर्चा के इस महत्वपूर्ण दूसरे प्रश्न का निष्कर्ष है कि पाप का समाधान और उद्धार किसी धर्म के कार्य अथवा धर्म के निर्वाह के द्वारा नहीं है; न ही यह किसी धर्म विशेष की बात है; और न ही पैतृक अथवा वंशागत है।

 

** यह केवल और केवल हर व्यक्ति के द्वारा व्यक्तिगत रीति से पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने तथा प्रभु यीशु मसीह में विश्वास और समर्पण के द्वारा है। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को, वह चाहे किसी भी धर्म को मानता और निभाता हो, अपने पापों के लिए स्वयं पश्चाताप करना होगा, उनके लिए स्वयं प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा माँगनी होगी, स्वयं ही अपना जीवन प्रभु यीशु को समर्पित करना होगा, उसका आज्ञाकारी शिष्य बनने का स्वयं ही निर्णय लेना होगा।

* तीन व्यक्तियों, नीकुदेमुस, धनी जवान धर्मी अधिकारी, और पौलुस के जीवन दिखाते हैं कि धर्म का निर्वाह, परमेश्वर के वचन का मनुष्यों एवं अपनी समझ से प्राप्त किया गया ज्ञान, धार्मिक कार्य, धार्मिक उन्माद, धार्मिकता के द्वारा समाज में उच्च और प्रतिष्ठित होना, आदि, कुछ भी मनुष्य को परमेश्वर के सामने धर्मी और स्वीकार्य, स्वर्ग के राज्य में प्रवेश के लिए योग्य नहीं बनाता है। यह केवल नया जन्म पा लेने, अर्थात, प्रत्येक मनुष्य के स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु यीशु मसीह को उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करके अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करने, उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में, उसकी शिष्यता में आ जाने के द्वारा ही है; उद्धार का यही एक मात्र मार्ग है।

 

यदि आप ने अभी भी अपने पापों के लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा नहीं मांगी है, तो अभी आपके पास अवसर है। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटे प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

English Translation

The Solution For Sin - Salvation - 9 - A Review

In the past few articles, we have been looking about sin and its solution - salvation, from God’s Word the Bible. We have been considering the teachings related to salvation from the Bible, under three important questions. These questions are:

* This salvation, or being saved, or made secure, is from what and why?

* How can a person obtain this salvation?

     * Why was it so necessary that to provide this, the Lord Jesus had to leave heaven and come down to earth to be sacrificed?

So far, we have considered the first two questions according to the teachings of the Bible and seen their conclusions. We have also seen the examples of three people, who were religious, very knowledgeable about the Word of God, and scholars; had a high position in the society, and had learnt from their own lives that despite all their religiosity and knowledge, they did not qualify to be acceptable to God; their own conscience used to trouble them about this state of their lives. Now,  we will be considering the third question - the Lord Jesus's coming as the solution; but before we start considering this most important of the three important questions, it would be helpful to review and remind ourselves of the things we have seen so far. This recollection of Biblical facts from the preceding articles will help us to avoid confusion, and understand better, why God had to come down to earth as a common man, and sacrifice Himself for the sins of the entire mankind.

What is Sin

* According to the Bible, the definition and explanation of what sin is, is not by the concepts of any person; but God Himself has stated this for us. What God has said and established, eventually, only that will be followed, everything and everyone will be examined and evaluated only according to that, and every decision will be taken based upon that. (John 12:48; 1 Corinthians 3:11-13).

* God has said that sin is not just some physical deeds; rather, basically it is the disobedience of God’s Law and His instructions (1 John 3:4). Any unrighteousness is sin (1 John 5:17), whatever be the purpose or circumstances of having committed it.

* The Bible teaches that being in sin is a state of the mind. Every kind of sin begins and grows in the mind, and at an appropriate time, in opportune circumstances, it manifests as physical deeds (James 1:14-15; Mark 7:20-23). Therefore, in the eyes of God, the sins committed in thoughts, in the mind, are just as punishable, as those done physically (Matthew 5:22, 28).

 

* Therefore, in the eyes of God, all those thoughts, emotions, attitudes, tendencies, deeds, view-points etc. are sin, which are not correct or acceptable according to the standards and instructions of righteousness given by God. Even though these things might still be in the mind, may have not been practically committed or physically manifested; but their residing in and occupying the mind of a person is sufficient in the eyes of God to treat it as sin having a place in that person’s life.

Effects of Sin

* The pure and Holy God cannot fellowship with sin.

* Sin creates a barrier between God and man, and breaks their fellowship.

* Sin brings death, i.e., a humanly irreversible separation. Man was separated from God spiritually, the moment he first sinned; and physically, from that moment he gradually started to wear away and come to an end, i.e., eventually end up in physical death as well. This condition of death came into the first humans, and since then is being passed on to every generation. The Lord Jesus has provided the solution to this very problem for the whole of mankind.

Salvation and Related Things

* The term “salvation” or being “saved” means to be delivered from and made secure from some harm; i.e., to be saved or receiving salvation means to be delivered and made secure.

* Salvation is always given by God; no person can ever, through any means, earn salvation from God. No one can make himself qualified by any of his efforts to earn his salvation, i.e., qualify himself and make himself sufficiently pure and holy to be able to enter heaven, the abode of God.

* God’s solution for this problem is that man voluntarily and sincerely come to fully believe in God, and based on this belief subject himself to complete obedience to God and submit himself into God’s hands, to live in obedience to Him.

* In this whole process, man only has to personally implement in his life the God-given solution; he is not to add any of his own thoughts, plans, works etc. into the God-given solution; and neither is he to involve any other person in fulfilling the way given by God.

* From what and why, is this salvation, or being saved or made secure to be done?

** From What - Salvation or being saved is from the harmful and destructive effects of sin, because of which man has come into the state of spiritual and physical death; and of living in fear, pride, guilt, shame, separation from God, the tendency to hide own faults and accuse others or hold others responsible for his errors; the attitude of disregarding God, His Laws, and His grace, etc., have all come into man. The Lord Jesus delivers us from the effects of sin, to make us, His Bride, His Church i.e., the universal group of Believers, and makes us “holy, blameless, without any blemish, spot, or wrinkle” to stand by His side (Ephesians 5:25-27).

** Why - Because our creator God loves us all, even now, when we are in our fallen condition of sin. He still wants to have fellowship with us, He desires that we be reconciled with Him, and accept the status of being His children (John 1:12-13) and the inheritors of heaven.

* How can a person receive this salvation from God?

** The conclusion of the second important question about sin and salvation is that the problem of sin cannot be solved and salvation cannot be attained or obtained through any religion, religious works, or fulfilling religious rites and rituals. Neither do salvation and solution to sin belong to any particular religion, nor is it inherited by the followers of any religion or faith.

** This is only and only possible by a personal repentance for sins and coming into faith in the Lord Jesus, submitting one’s life in to His hands. Every person, no matter what religion he believes in and lives by, will have to voluntarily repent of his sins, ask the Lord Jesus to forgive his sins, voluntarily submit his life to the Lord Jesus, and decide to become His obedient disciple.

* We have seen from the examples of the lives of three people, Nicodemus, the Rich Young Ruler, and Paul how knowledge, religion, fulfilling of religious rites and rituals, religious works, attaining a high position in society by virtue of religion etc., could not make them acceptable to God even in their own eyes. On the other hand, their understanding of God’s Word through the teachings of men and their own knowledge about God and His Word, had made them proud, vain, fanatics, even persecutors of others, and blind to the truths of God’s Word. All of this in their lives was reversed only after they accepted being Born Again, i.e., voluntarily repenting of their sins, accepting the Lord Jesus as their personal savior, submitting themselves into His discipleship and striving to live in obedience to Him. This is the one and only way to salvation.

Please examine and evaluate your own life. Have you also, in the name of religion and righteousness through religious works, become opponents and persecutors of men, and blasphemers of the Lord God?  By coming into the true understanding of the Lord Jesus, by accepting Him as your Lord, your attitude and behavior will be totally transformed. You will get a new and true understanding of God’s Word, you will become a cause of praising and glorifying God, instead of dishonoring Him; you will become His witness for the world. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart and with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible or not, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
