परीक्षाओं में सहायता – 1

 

मसीही विश्वासी का परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के प्रति योग्य भण्डारी होने के विषय में देखते हुए, हम यूहन्ना 14:16 में दिए गए प्रभु यीशु मसीह के अपने शिष्यों से कहे गए कथन को देख रहे हैं, कि पवित्र आत्मा उन में, उनके सहायक, या साथी के रूप में निवास करेगा। मूल यूनानी भाषा में प्रयुक्त शब्द के अनुसार, यहाँ पर ‘साथी’ एक अधिक उपयुक्त अनुवाद है। कुछ मसीही विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा को अपने साथी या सहायक के समान नहीं, अपने स्थान पर काम कर देने वाले सेवक के समान उपयोग करना चाहते हैं। अर्थात, वे बहुधा पवित्र आत्मा से वे कार्य करवाना चाहते हैं जो उन्हें करने में कठिन लगते हैं, या जिन्हें करने में वे कई बार असफल हो चुके हैं। वे ऐसा इस आधार पर करवाना चाहते हैं कि वे स्वयं उस कार्य को करने के लिए अयोग्य हैं, या, उस ज़िम्मेदारी को निभाने के लिए अक्षम हैं; और इसलिए परमेश्वर को ही उनके स्थान पर, उनके लिए उस कार्य को कर देना चाहिए। अनकहा तात्पर्य यह कि परमेश्वर ने उन्हें, अर्थात्, अपने बच्चों को उनकी क्षमताओं और योग्यताओं से बाहर परिस्थितियों में आ लेने देता है। हम पिछले लेख में इस अनुचित धारणा,  के तात्पर्य को देख चुके हैं कि किस प्रकार से यह शैतानी है, क्योंकि यह परमेश्वर को बहुत गलत दिखाता है, और उसके परमेश्वर होने के गुणों का ही इनकार करता है।

यदि हम इस गलत धारणा पर थोड़ा सा विचार करें तथा बाइबल के कुछ संबंधित लेख देखें, तो यह प्रकट हो जाता है कि यह धारणा कदापि बाइबल के अनुसार सही अथवा स्वीकार्य नहीं हो सकती है। हम पहले ही भजन 103:14 से देख चुके हैं कि परमेश्वर हमारी सृष्टि को भली-भांति जानता है, और उसे स्मरण रहता है कि हम बस मिट्टी ही हैं। अर्थात परमेश्वर हमारी सामर्थ्य और क्षमताओं से अच्छे से अवगत है, तथा उससे भी कि हम क्या कुछ और किस सीमा तक सहन कर सकते हैं। हम शैतान द्वारा अय्यूब की परीक्षा के उदाहरण से भी जानते हैं की शैतान उसे उसी सीमा तक छू सकता था जो परमेश्वर ने निर्धारित की थी, उस से आगे नहीं। इसलिए मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन में परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित की गई सीमा से बाहर कुछ भी नहीं हो सकता है।

 

इस की पुष्टि 1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13 से भी हो जाती है, जहाँ लिखा है, “तुम किसी ऐसी परीक्षा में नहीं पड़े, जो मनुष्य के सहने से बाहर है: और परमेश्वर सच्चा है: वह तुम्हें सामर्थ्य से बाहर परीक्षा में न पड़ने देगा, वरन परीक्षा के साथ निकास भी करेगा; कि तुम सह सको।” यहाँ पर जिस शब्द का अनुवाद ‘परीक्षा’ किया गया है, मूल यूनानी भाषा में उसके लिए प्रयुक्त शब्द का अर्थ परखे जाना, आँकलन करना, जांचे जाना, आदि भी होता है। दूसरे शब्दों में, शब्द ‘परीक्षा’ हमेशा नकारात्मक या हानिकारक अभिप्राय से ही उपयोग नहीं किया जाता है, वरन जीवन में आने वाली सभी परिस्थितियों के लिए भी लागू समझा जा सकता है। इस से हम समझ सकते हैं कि परमेश्वर न केवल उन सीमाओं को निर्धारित करता है जहाँ तक विश्वासी की परीक्षा की जा सकती है, बल्कि वह जिस भी बात की अनुमति देता है, वह विश्वासी की उन क्षमताओं और सामर्थ्य के अन्दर ही होती है, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ही ने उन लोगों में रखा है। और, उसके साथ ही परमेश्वर अपने बच्चों के लिए उन बातों से बच के निकलने के लिए मार्ग भी बना कर तैयार रखता है। इसलिए परमेश्वर की कोई भी संतान, कभी भी, खराई और ईमानदारी से यह नहीं कह सकती है कि वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई किसी ज़िम्मेदारी के निर्वाह के लिए असमर्थ अथवा अक्षम है।

पौलुस, पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, फिलिप्पियों 4:13 में लिखता है, “जो मुझे सामर्थ्य देता है उस में मैं सब कुछ कर सकता हूं।” जब पौलुस ‘सब कुछ’ लिखता है, तो उसका अर्थ होता है ‘सब कुछ’। दूसरे शब्दों में ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं है जिस का सामना पौलुस अथवा अन्य किसी भी मसीही विश्वासी को करना पड़े, और प्रभु में होकर भी वह उसे करने न पाए। इसके साथ ही यहाँ पर यह आश्वासन भी दिया गया है कि परमेश्वर की अनुमति और इच्छा में आई उस परिस्थिति में, उस कार्य को करने अथवा ज़िम्मेदारी को निभाने के लिए, मसीह उस विश्वासी को सामर्थ्य भी प्रदान करेगा। इसलिए ऐसी कोई संभावना ही नहीं है कि परमेश्वर की कोई भी संतान कभी भी, ऐसी किसी भी परिस्थिति में लाई जाएगी जो उसकी सामर्थ्य के बाहर होगी। परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई जिम्मेदारियों और कार्यों को न कर पाने के विचार रखना और उन्हें मानना शैतानी युक्तियाँ हैं, क्योंकि वे परमेश्वर के वचन और प्रतिज्ञाओं को झुठलाते हैं, और अनजाने में ही परमेश्वर को झूठा ठहराते हैं, क्योंकि उसने अपने बच्चों को जो आश्वासन दिया, उसके स्थान पर उनके जीवनों में कुछ और ही हो लेने दिया।

साथ ही सम्पूर्ण पवित्र शास्त्र में ऐसे अनेकों उदाहरण हैं जिन में परमेश्वर के लोगों, नबियों, प्रेरितों, और अन्य को, परमेश्वर के कार्यों और उसके द्वारा दी गई जिम्मेदारियों के लिए बहुत कठिन परिस्थितियों, सताव, ताड़नाओं, आदि का सामना करना पड़ा, जान का भी जोखिम उठाना पड़ा। ऐसी सभी परिस्थितियों में परमेश्वर उनके साथ बना रहा, उन्हें सामर्थ्य देता रहा, उनका हौसला बढ़ाता रहा, उन्हें उस परिस्थिति से निकलने और ज़िम्मेदारी को पूरा करने के लिए उनकी सहायता करता रहा। लेकिन ऐसा एक भी उदाहरण नहीं है जब परमेश्वर ने उस परीक्षा या कठिन परिस्थिति से होकर निकल रहे उन में से किसी भी व्यक्ति से कभी कहा हो कि उस व्यक्ति के स्थान पर परमेश्वर स्वयं उनके लिए उस कार्य या ज़िम्मेदारी को पूरा कर देगा। जैसा हम आगे भी देखेंगे, परमेश्वर कभी भी अपने लिखित वचन से बाहर कुछ भी नहीं करता या कहता है। हमारी हर परिस्थिति में वह हमारी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन अवश्य ही करेगा; लेकिन कभी भी हमारी ज़िम्मेदारी को अपने ऊपर लेकर हमारे स्थान पर उस कार्य को नहीं करेगा। इसलिए किसी के लिए भी परमेश्वर द्वारा उसके लिए निर्धारित कार्य को उसके स्थान पर करने की याचना करना व्यर्थ है। ऐसी सभी प्रार्थनाएँ हमेशा ही अनुत्तरित ही रहेंगी, क्योंकि वे सर्वथा गलत, परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य, वरन परमेश्वर को अपमानित करने वाले आधार पर माँगी जा रही हैं।

अगले लेख में हम इसी विषय के बारे में कुछ और देखेंगे, कि परमेश्वर के लोग ऐसी प्रार्थनाएँ कब करते हैं, और परमेश्वर से उनके स्थान पर कार्य को कर देने की याचना करने के स्थान पर उन्हें क्या करना चाहिए।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

In considering the Christian Believer’s stewardship of God the Holy Spirit, we have been looking at the Lord Jesus’s statement of John 14:16 to His disciples, that the Holy Spirit will be with them as their Helper, i.e., as their Companion, which is a more appropriate translation of the word used in the Greek language. Some Believers try to use the Holy Spirit as their substitute instead of a companion or helper; i.e., they often try to get the Holy Spirit do those things for them which they find difficult to do, or have often failed in doing themselves. They do this on the reasoning that they are unable to do the work, are incapable of fulfilling their responsibility; therefore, God should do it for them. The unsaid implication is that  God allows His children to be brought into situations that are beyond their abilities. We have seen in the previous article the implications of this erroneous line of thinking, that this is satanic since it reflects very badly on God, and negates His very characteristics of being God.

If we ponder a bit over this erroneous thinking and consider some relevant Biblical texts, it becomes quite apparent that this line of thinking simply cannot be Biblical or acceptable. We have already seen earlier that in Psalm 103:14, God well knows our frame and that we are but dust; i.e., God is very well aware of our capabilities, what all and to what extent we can endure. We also know from the example of Job’s being tested by Satan, that Satan could test or touch Job only to the extent that was permitted by God, not beyond it. Therefore, in a Christian Believer’s life nothing can ever happen that is beyond the limits set by God for His child.

 

This is further affirmed by 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” The word translated here as temptation, in the original Greek language, is used to denote being tested, evaluated, examined etc. In other words, ‘temptation’ is not always in a negative or harmful sense, but stands for all kinds of situations one may have to face in life. In other words, God not only sets the limits to which the Believers can be tested or evaluated, and given responsibilities to handle, but also that whatever He permits to come in a Believer’s life, they are all well within the capabilities He has placed in them. And, along with that He also keeps available the way out of these situations, for His children. Hence, no child of God can honestly plead being incapable of doing something asked of him by God.

Paul, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, says in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” If Paul says ‘all things’, it means ‘all things.’ In other words, there is nothing that Paul, or any other Christian Believer will have to face, that cannot be accomplished through Christ. Added to this is the assurance that Christ also strengthens the Believer in that situation, for fulfilling that responsibility, or doing that task assigned by God to His child. Therefore, there is simply no way that a child of God will ever be brought into a situation or a responsibility that is beyond his capabilities. Harboring and believing thoughts of being incapable of fulfilling God given responsibilities are satanic ploys, since they negate God’s Word and God’s promises, and inadvertently call God a liar, for assuring one thing and allowing another in the lives of His children.

Moreover, throughout the Scriptures, there are numerous examples of God’s people, prophets, Apostles, and others suffered severe situations, tortures, and even threats to their life, so much so that their life became very harsh and difficult; all for the sake of God and fulfilling His given responsibilities. In all these situations, for all of these people of God, God was with them, strengthened them, encouraged them, helped them along, to come out of their situation and fulfill their responsibility. But there is not even one example where God said that He will take over and do it instead of that person who was passing through those testing and difficult situations. As we will see later, God never goes beyond His written Word. He will help and guide us through all situations, but will never take over from us and do our job instead of us. So, it is utterly vain for anyone to pray and plead for God to take over and do something that God has assigned for him to do. All such prayers will always go unanswered, since they are made on the wrong premises, on a basis unacceptable to God, rather derogatory to God.

In the next article we will see some more about this; about when do God’s children usually make this prayer, and what they should be doing instead of pleading before God to do their work for them.

Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पिछले लेख में, प्रेरितों 17:30 में कही गई बात कि परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों में किये गये पापों के लिये दण्ड देने की बजाए, उनकी आनाकानी करने के लिये तैयार है को समझने के लिये हमने बाइबल के कुछ तथ्यों को देखा था: परमेश्वर हमेशा, हर किसी के साथ, मसीही हो या गैर मसीही, अपने चरित्र और गुणों (निर्गमन 34:6-7; व्यवस्थाविवरण 32:4) के अनुसार ही व्यवहार करता है। वह हम मनुष्यों की रचना और क्षमता को भली-भांति जानता है; उसे सदा ध्यान रहता है कि मनुष्य मिट्टी ही है (भजन 103:14); परमेश्वर किसी दुष्ट की भी मृत्यु से प्रसन्न नहीं होता है, वरन चाहता है कि सभी लोग पाप का दंड पाने से बच जाएँ (यहेजकेल 33:11)। परमेश्वर की यह कदापि इच्छा नहीं है कि मनुष्य किसी बुराई में फंसे, और गिरे; न तो वह स्वयं बुराई के द्वारा परखा जाता है, और न ही वह बुराई के द्वारा किसी की परीक्षा करता है (याकूब 1:13)। साथ ही परमेश्वर का आश्वासन भी है कि वह हमें हमारी सामर्थ्य से बाहर किसी परीक्षा में नहीं पड़ने देगा, वरन परीक्षा के साथ निकासी का मार्ग भी देगा (1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13)। इसी लिए परमेश्वर, शैतान द्वारा धूर्तता और चतुराई से लाई गई हमारी सामर्थ्य से बाहर परीक्षाओं में हमें गिरा देने और पाप कर बैठने के लिए बहका देने से उत्पन्न स्थिति की आनाकानी करने और सभी मनुष्यों को पाप के दण्ड से बचने का अवसर देने के लिए तैयार है। आज हम इसी बात से सम्बन्धित बाइबल की कुछ अन्य बातों को भी देखेंगे और समझेंगे।

 

परमेश्वर अपने लोगों की परीक्षा लेता है, जैसे उसने अब्राहम की परीक्षा की (उत्पत्ति 22:1), हिजकिय्याह को परखा (2 इतिहास 32:31)। किन्तु जब परमेश्वर के किसी जन की कोई परीक्षा शैतान के द्वारा होनी होती है, तो शैतान केवल परमेश्वर की अनुमति, और उसके द्वारा निर्धारित सीमाओं के अंदर ही कार्य कर सकता है, जैसे कि हम अय्यूब की परीक्षाओं से देखते हैं (अय्यूब 1:8, 12; 2:3, 6)।

किन्तु अदन की वाटिका में शैतान द्वारा आदम और हव्वा को भरमाना, न तो परमेश्वर की इच्छा में था, न उसके लिए परमेश्वर ने शैतान को अनुमति दी थी, और न ही शैतान के लिए परमेश्वर द्वारा कोई सीमा निर्धारित की गई थी। परमेश्वर पहले से ही शैतान के धूर्त प्रयासों के विषय सचेत था, इसीलिए आदम और हव्वा को शैतान की धूर्तता से बचाए रखने के लिए, परमेश्वर ने उन्हें एक सीधी, स्पष्ट, छोटी सी आज्ञा दे रखी थी; और साथ ही अनाज्ञाकारिता का दुष्परिणाम भी बता रखा था - “तब यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को यह आज्ञा दी, कि तू वाटिका के सब वृक्षों का फल बिना खटके खा सकता है: पर भले या बुरे के ज्ञान का जो वृक्ष है, उसका फल तू कभी न खाना: क्योंकि जिस दिन तू उसका फल खाए उसी दिन अवश्य मर जाएगा” (उत्पत्ति 2:16-17)। किन्तु शैतान ने उन्हें अपनी चिकनी चुपड़ी बातों में, कुटिलता में फँसा कर, अनाज्ञाकारिता के लिए उकसाया, और पाप में गिरा दिया। और तब ही से पाप करने की प्रवृत्ति ने मनुष्य में प्रवेश कर लिया, और सभी में फैल गई “इसलिये जैसा एक मनुष्य के द्वारा पाप जगत में आया, और पाप के द्वारा मृत्यु आई, और इस रीति से मृत्यु सब मनुष्यों में फैल गई, इसलिये कि सब ने पाप किया” (रोमियों 5:12)।

जैसा हम पिछले लेखों में देख चुके हैं कि शैतान और उसके दूत मनुष्य से हर प्रकार से सामर्थी हैं, वरन मनुष्य से अधिक बुद्धिमान भी हैं। वे अपनी इस बुद्धिमत्ता तथा योग्यताओं का प्रयोग मनुष्यों के विरुद्ध दुष्टता की कुटिल युक्तियों के द्वारा मनुष्यों को मूर्ख बनाकर, उन्हें बहका और भरमा कर पापमय व्यवहार और जीवन में जीने, और उन्हें पाप में गिराने के लिए करते हैं (2 पतरस 2:1-3)। साथ ही वे सत्य को मनुष्य से छिपाए रहते हैं, उसे सत्य के निकट आने ही नहीं देते हैं, प्रभु यीशु में लाए गए सीधे और सच्चे विश्वास से हर किसी को मिलने वाले उद्धार सत्य को जानने और समझने ही नहीं देते हैं। इसलिए, आदम और हव्वा में होकर मानव-जाति के विरुद्ध किया गया शैतान का यह कार्य, कुटिलता तथा सच्चाई को छुपा कर झूठ या अज्ञानता के अन्तर्गत करवाया गया कार्य था। मनुष्य जो कि शैतान से सामर्थ्य और बुद्धि में कम है, उसे धोखे में फँसा कर, उसकी सामर्थ्य के बाहर की परीक्षा में डालकर उसे पाप में गिराने का कार्य था।

 

आदम और हव्वा के द्वारा पाप करने के बाद, परमेश्वर ने उन्हें पाप को मान लेने, और उसके लिए क्षमा मांगने का अवसर दिया। किन्तु वे पाप को मानने के स्थान पर एक दूसरे पर और परमेश्वर पर भी दोष लगाते रहे, आदम ने हव्वा को बनाने और देने के लिए परमेश्वर को जिम्मेदार ठहराया (उत्पत्ति 3:12-13); और उन्होंने अवसर को गँवा दिया, दण्ड भुगतने की स्थिति में आ गए। इसीलिए हमारा सच्चा, खरा, ईमानदार, और न्यायी परमेश्वर स्वाभाविक, अपरिवर्तित मनुष्यों द्वारा किए गए पापों को अज्ञानता के समय में किए गए पाप मानकर, उनके लिए दण्ड देने में आनाकानी करता है, सभी मनुष्यों को वैसे ही पश्चाताप का अवसर देता है जैसा उसने आदम और हव्वा को दिया था।

जो लोग पापों से पश्चाताप कर लेने, प्रभु यीशु मसीह को अपना जीवन समर्पित कर देने, उद्धार पा लेने के बाद भी पाप में गिर जाते हैं, उनके लिए परमेश्वर के व्यवहार और समाधान को हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। अभी के लिए, चाहे आप एक मसीही हों या गैर मसीही, अपने जीवन को गंभीरता से जाँच कर देख लीजिए कि आपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने की प्रभु की इस आज्ञा का पालन किया है कि नहीं? यदि आप अभी भी अपने धर्म, डिनॉमिनेशन, उनके विधि-विधानों और अनुष्ठानों के निर्वाह के आधार पर अपने आप को परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य समझे बैठे हैं, तो आप शैतान द्वारा फैलाए गए धोखे के जाल में फंसे हुए हैं, और आपको आज, अभी, समय रहते इस धोखे से निकलने की आवश्यकता है; विलंब, अविश्वास, या बाद के लिए टालना बहुत भारी नुकसान करवा सकता है।

Man’s Ignorance - 3

In the previous article, to understand why, as given in Acts 17:30, God is willing to ignore the sins committed in times of ignorance, we had seen some Biblical facts: Whether a person is a Christian or a non-Christian, God treats everyone according to His own character and attributes (Exodus 34:6-7; Deuteronomy 32:4). God knows our capabilities very well; He always remembers that man is dust (Psalm 103:14); The death of even a wicked person is not pleasing to God; He wants everyone to be saved (Ezekiel 33:11). It is never in the will of God that man should ever be trapped by evil, and fall into sin. Neither is He ever tempted by evil, nor does He ever tempt anyone with evil (James 1:13). Moreover, it is God's assurance that He will not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability, but will also give us a way out of the temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). That is why God is ready to overlook the times of our ignorance, due to the devious and cunning ploys of Satan and his devices, that are beyond our capabilities to manage, through which Satan leads us into sin; and gives us the opportunity and the way to be saved. We will see some more on this in todays article.

God does test his people, just as he tested Abraham (Genesis 22:1), and Hezekiah (2 Chronicles 32:31). But when one of God’s people is to be tested through Satan, then for that testing Satan can only act with God's permission, and only within the limits set by God, as we see from Job's trials (Job 1:8, 12; 2:3, 6).

But the deception of Adam and Eve by Satan in the Garden of Eden was neither in God's will, nor had God permitted Satan to do so, nor was there any limit set by God about it for Satan. To protect Adam and Eve from Satan's deviousness, which He had already anticipated, He had given Adam and Eve a simple, clear, straightforward command, and had also warned them about the consequences of disobedience - "Then the Lord God commanded Adam, that you may eat the fruit of all the trees of the garden without knocking: but the tree of the knowledge of good or evil, you shall never bear the fruit of it." food: for the day you eat its fruit you will surely die" (Genesis 2:16-17). But Satan tricked them through his smooth talk, and his wickedness, enticed them into disobedience, and made them fall into sin. And from then onwards the desire to sin entered man, and spread to all "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned" (Romans 5:12).

As we have seen in the previous articles, Satan and his angels are stronger and more intelligent than man in everything. They use their devious intelligence and abilities to trick men, to mislead and deceive them, to make them live a sinful life and a behavior abhorrent to God, and to keep them in sin, by devious schemes of wickedness against humans (2 Peter 2:1-3). At the same time, they keep the truth hidden from man, do not allow him to come near to the truth, do not allow him to know and understand the truth about salvation available to everyone through simple and honest faith in the Lord Jesus. Therefore, this act of Satan, committed against mankind through Adam and Eve, was done by concealing the truth and in wickedness. It was an act done under falsehood or deliberate contrived ignorance. Man, who is inferior in power and intelligence than Satan, was trapped through deception, by tempting him beyond his power thereby leading him into sin.

After Adam and Eve sinned, God gave them the opportunity to confess their sin, and ask for forgiveness for it. But instead of admitting their sin, they blamed each other and God as well for it; Adam even blamed God for creating and giving Eve to him (Genesis 3:12-13); and so, they lost the opportunity, and had to face the punishment. That is why our true, upright, honest, and just God refuses to immediately punish the natural, unregenerate men for their sins; rather, considering their sins as acts committed in times of ignorance, He gives all men the opportunity to repent, just as He did with Adam and Eve.

We will see God's behavior and solution towards sin committed by those who have repented of their sins, have committed their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, and yet have fallen into sin, even after being saved. For now, whether you are a Christian or a non-Christian, take a serious look at your life to see if you have obeyed the Lord's command for repentance. If you still consider yourself righteous and acceptable to God on the basis of your religion, denomination, the observance of their statutes and rituals, then you are in the trap of deceit spread by Satan, and you need to get out of this deception today, now, while you have the time and opportunity. Procrastination, unbelief, or postponing for a later time can do great harm.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पाप के समाधान की आवश्यकताएं और आधार

   

    मनुष्य की अनाज्ञाकारिता के कारण पाप के संसार में प्रवेश के समाधान के बारे में देखते हुए, अभी तक हम देख चुके हैं कि: 

* क्योंकि पाप का प्रवेश मनुष्य के द्वारा हुआ, उसका समाधान भी मनुष्य में होकर ही होना था। 

* पाप के कारण मृत्यु जगत में आई; पाप के समाधान के द्वारा यह मृत्यु का प्रभाव मिटाया जाकर मनुष्य को वापस उस अमरता स्थिति में लाया जाना था जो अदन की वाटिका में पाप से पहले उसकी थी। 

* इसके लिए यह आवश्यक था कि कोई ऐसा निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, पवित्र, सिद्ध मनुष्य हो जो पाप के कारण आई मृत्यु को स्वयं सह ले, और मनुष्यों पर से मृत्यु की पकड़ को मिटा दे। यदि मृत्यु को सहने वाले मनुष्य में अपना कोई पाप, या पाप का कोई दोष अथवा अंश होता, तो फिर वह उस मृत्यु को केवल अपने ही लिए सह सकता था, दूसरों को उसके लाभ प्रदान नहीं कर सकता था। 

* इस कारण पृथ्वी पर जन्म लेने वाले मनुष्यों की सामान्य प्रणाली के अनुसार जन्म लेने वाला प्रत्येक मनुष्य इसके अयोग्य ठहरता, क्योंकि सभी पाप-दोष के साथ जन्म लेते हैं। इस संदर्भ में हमने पिछले दो लेखों में देखा कि कैसे प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने मनुष्यों के जन्म की सामान्य प्रणाली के द्वारा नहीं, वरन एक विशेष रीति से मनुष्य की देह में जन्म लिया और कोख में आने से लेकर क्रूस पर उनकी मृत्यु के समय तक एक पूर्णतः निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, पवित्र, और सिद्ध जीवन बिताया। न उनके जीवन काल में, और न तब से लेकर अब दो हज़ार वर्षों से भी अधिक के अंतराल में, कोई उनके जीवन में कोई भी पाप नहीं दिखा सका, उनमें पाप का दोष होने को प्रमाणित नहीं कर सका। 

* अदन की वाटिका में पाप और मृत्यु ने मनुष्य की अनाज्ञाकारिता के द्वारा प्रवेश किया; और इस अनाज्ञाकारिता का कारण था मनुष्य का परमेश्वर की उनके लिए भली मनसा और योजनाओं पर संदेह करना। मनुष्य के जीवन से पाप और मृत्यु का मिटाया जाना इस अनाज्ञाकारिता की प्रक्रिया को उलट देने और पूर्ण आज्ञाकारिता में आ जाने से होना था। साथ ही इस आज्ञाकारिता के लिए मनुष्य को अपने जीवन पर्यंत, बिना परमेश्वर की किसी भी बात के लिए उस पर संदेह अथवा अविश्वास किए, स्वेच्छा से तथा भली मनसा के साथ परमेश्वर की पूर्ण आज्ञाकारिता में जीवन व्यतीत करना था।

 

    आज से हम प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा इस पूर्ण आज्ञाकारिता की शर्त को पूरा करने के बारे में देखेंगे। ऐसा नहीं है कि क्योंकि प्रभु यीशु परमेश्वर के पुत्र थे, क्योंकि वे पूर्णतः परमेश्वर और पूर्णतः मनुष्य थे, इसलिए उनके लिए यह आज्ञाकारिता सहज एवं सरल थी। प्रभु यीशु को भी अपने मनुष्य रूप में आज्ञाकारिता के लिए, अन्य मनुष्यों के समान ही  बहुत दुख और कष्ट सहने पड़े, परीक्षाओं और कठिनाइयों से होकर निकलना पड़ा। प्रभु यीशु की इस आज्ञाकारिता के विषय परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में लिखा गया है, “उसने अपनी देह में रहने के दिनों में ऊंचे शब्द से पुकार पुकार कर, और आंसू बहा बहा कर उस से जो उसको मृत्यु से बचा सकता था, प्रार्थनाएं और बिनती की और भक्ति के कारण उस की सुनी गई। और पुत्र होने पर भी, उसने दुख उठा उठा कर आज्ञा माननी सीखी। और सिद्ध बन कर, अपने सब आज्ञा मानने वालों के लिये सदा काल के उद्धार का कारण हो गया” (इब्रानियों 5:7-9); और “...वरन वह सब बातों में हमारे समान परखा तो गया, तौभी निष्पाप निकला” (इब्रानियों 4:15)।

 

    शैतान ने उनके जन्म से पहले से लेकर, उनकी मृत्यु के समय तक उनके द्वारा यह कार्य संपन्न होने से रोकने का प्रयास करने के लिए कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी:

* इसे समझने के लिए मत्ती 1:18-21 देखिए। जब प्रभु के सांसारिक पिता कहलाए जाने वाले व्यक्ति यूसुफ को पता चला कि उसकी मंगेतर मरियम, जिसमें होकर प्रभु यीशु ने जन्म लेना था, गर्भवती है, तो उसने उसे चुपके से छोड़ देने की योजना बनाई। उन दिनों में, मूसा द्वारा मिली व्यवस्था के अनुसार, व्यभिचार के दोषी को पत्थरवाह करके मार डाला जाता था (यूहन्ना 8:4, 5)। यदि यूसुफ मरियम को छोड़ देता, तो या तो उसके विवाह से पहले गर्भवती होने की बात खुल जाने पर मरियम को पत्थरवाह करके मार डाला जाता; या फिर मरियम त्यागी हुई स्त्री के समान अकेले ही समाज से तिरस्कृत जीवन जीने के लिए बाध्य हो जाती, और प्रभु भी जन्म के समय से ही तिरस्कृत और अपमानित, तथा समाज में अस्वीकार्य रहता; इस बात के लिए प्रभु को बाद में भी लोगों के ताने सुनने पड़े (यूहन्ना 8:41)। दोनों में से जो भी परिस्थिति कार्यान्वित होती, प्रभु का उद्धार का कार्य, आरंभ होने से पहले ही समाप्त हो जाता। किन्तु क्योंकि परमेश्वर के संदेश को सुन और मानकर यूसुफ ने मरियम को अपना लिया, शिशु यीशु को अपना नाम और परिवार दिया, इसलिए शैतान की यह योजना विफल हो गई। 

* प्रभु के जन्म के बाद, हेरोदेस राजा ने दो वर्ष की आयु से कम के बच्चों को मरवाने की आज्ञा देकर प्रभु को शिशु-अवस्था में ही मरवा डालने का प्रयास किया, किन्तु असफल रहा (मत्ती 2:13-16)। 

* प्रभु यीशु के वयस्क हो जाने और सेवकाई के आरंभ करने के समय वह लगातार चालीस दिन तक शैतान द्वारा परखा गया (लूका 4:1)। जब शैतान उसे पाप में नहीं गिरा सका, तो “कुछ समय के लिए” (लूका 4:13) उसके पास से चला गया, किन्तु उसकी सारी सेवकाई भर लोगों, विशेषकर धर्म के अगुवों और धर्म-गुरुओं को उसके विरुद्ध भड़काता रहा, उसकी सेवकाई में बाधाएं डालता रहा।

* धर्म-गुरुओं के षड्यंत्र के अंतर्गत (यूहन्ना 11:47-50), अन्ततः यीशु को पकड़ कर, रोमी गवर्नर पिलातुस को बाध्य कर के, प्रभु यीशु को क्रूस पर मार डाला गया।

* क्रूस की अवर्णनीय पीड़ा सहते हुए भी, वहाँ पर भी उसका ठट्ठा उड़ाया जाना ज़ारी रहा (मत्ती 27:41; लूका 23:36); किन्तु प्रभु ने कोई अपशब्द नहीं कहा, या दुर्भावना नहीं रखी, वरन अपने सताने वालों की क्षमा की प्रार्थना ही की; कोई पाप नहीं किया (लूका 23:34)। 

* उसे क्रूस पर से उतर आने का प्रलोभन दिया गया, इस आश्वासन के साथ कि यदि वह ऐसा करेगा, तो वे लोग उस पर विश्वास कर लेंगे (मत्ती 27:40, 42)। यदि उनकी बात मानकर प्रभु क्रूस पर से उतर आता, तो बलिदान का कार्य अधूरा रह जाता, और असफल हो जाता। 

* शैतान ने सोचा होगा कि अब यह प्रभु का अंत है; अब शैतान को रोकने वाला कोई नहीं रहा। किन्तु तीसरे दिन प्रभु यीशु के पुनरुत्थान ने उसकी सारी संतुष्टि और योजनाओं पर पानी फेर दिया। तब प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान के बाद भी शैतान ने प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान को ही झूठा ठहराने का षड्यंत्र कार्यान्वित कर दिया (मत्ती 28:13-15)।

 

    किन्तु शैतान की हर चाल को प्रभु ने विफल किया, और दिखा दिया कि मानव-देह में शैतान की युक्तियों, प्रलोभनों, और परीक्षाओं का सामना करने, और उसे पराजित करने की क्षमता है। शैतान के इन सभी प्रयासों ने परमेश्वर के कार्य को बाधित करने के स्थान पर और अधिक प्रबल कर दिया। शैतान के ये प्रयास परमेश्वर के वचन में दी गई प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित भविष्यवाणियों को पूरा और प्रमाणित करने वाले तथ्य बन गए; प्रभु परमेश्वर की महिमा के, उसके सत्य के सदा जयवन्त रहने के उदाहरण बन गए। हम प्रभु द्वारा परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता के विषय आगे अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

    जिस प्रभु ने मानव देह में होकर यह दिखा दिया कि मनुष्य परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में रहते हुए, परमेश्वर की सहायता से शैतान का सामना कर सकता है, उसे पराजित कर सकता है, वही प्रभु परमेश्वर अपने शिष्यों को अपने पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य से भर देता है, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा प्रभु यीशु के शिष्यों में उसी पल से आकर बस जाता है जब वे पापों से पश्चाताप करते हैं और अपने जीवन प्रभु को समर्पित कर देते हैं (इफिसियों 1:13-14)। प्रभु के साथ तथा पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता एवं मार्गदर्शन से हम मनुष्य भी शैतान पर जयवंत हो सकते हैं। क्या आपने प्रभु के इस अद्भुत उपहार को पा लिया है?  यदि आप ने अभी भी उद्धार नहीं पाया है, अपने पापों के लिए प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा नहीं मांगी है, तो अभी आपके पास अवसर है। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

The Necessities and Basis of Forgiveness of Sins

    Looking at the entry of sin into the world because of man's disobedience, its effects, and the solution, so far, we have seen that:

* Because sin entered through man, the solution was also to come through man. 

* Death came into the world because of sin; therefore, the solution of sin had to eradicate this effect of sin, death; and man had to be brought back into the condition of being immortal, as he was before sinning, in the Garden of Eden.  

* It required that there be a sinless, blameless, holy, perfect man who himself would suffer the death that had come upon mankind because of sin, and deliver man out the hold that death had over him. If the man who would suffer death had any sin, or even a minute guilt of sin, then he would suffer that death only for himself, and would not be able to give any benefits to anyone. 

* Every man born according to the general manner of human beings on earth, is disqualified from being the perfect sacrifice, because all humans are born with sin-nature that is present in them since the moment of their conception. In this context, we have seen in the last two articles how the Lord Jesus Christ was conceived; how He was brought into the world through a special body created for Him, which did not come into existence according to the general natural manner of human conception; but He was born like any other human being, and lived a completely sinless, spotless, holy, and perfect life, from the time of His coming into the womb until the time of his death on the cross. Neither during His lifetime, nor in the more than two thousand years since then, no one has been able to show any sin, nor could anyone ever prove the guilt of any sin in His life.  

* Sin and death entered the Garden of Eden because of the disobedience of man; And the reason for this disobedience was man's doubting God's good intentions and plans for him. The effects of sin and death could only be reversed and removed out of man's life by reversing the reasons and process of man’s disobedience that gave entry to sin and death, through complete obedience. Just as man willingly disobeyed God, similarly, to reverse the process, man had to willingly agree to live in complete obedience to God throughout his life, without doubting or disbelieving God for anything that God said or asked him to do. 

    

    From today we will see about the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilling this condition of complete obedience to God. It is not that since the Lord Jesus was the Son of God, since He was fully God and fully man, therefore living this life of obedience to God was easy and simple for Him. In His human form, the Lord Jesus also had to suffer a lot; He had to go through trials and hardships for being obedient like any other human being. It is written in God's Word, the Bible, regarding the obedience of the Lord Jesus that, “who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him” (Hebrews 5:7-9); and “...but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15).

    Satan left no stone unturned to try to prevent him from completing this work, even from before his birth until the time of his death:

* See Matthew 1:18-21 to understand this. When Joseph, the man called the earthly father of the Lord, learned that his fiancée Mary, through whom the Lord Jesus was to be born, was pregnant, he planned to leave her quietly.  In those days, according to the Law given by Moses, the woman found guilty of adultery was stoned to death (John 8:4, 5).  If Joseph had left Mary, then when it would have become evident that she was pregnant before her marriage, either Mary would have been stoned to death; or Mary would have been compelled to live a life of being a cast-away from society, all alone. Therefore, like His lonely and forsaken mother, the Lord would also have been despised and rejected from the time of His birth, and become unacceptable to the society. For this, even later on, the Lord had to listen to people's taunts (John 8:41). If any of these two conditions got implemented, the Lord's work of salvation of mankind would have ended before it even began. But because after hearing and obeying God's message Joseph accepted Mary, gave his name and family to the infant Jesus, Satan's ploy failed. 

* After the Lord's birth, King Herod attempted to kill the Lord in His infancy, by ordering the killing of all children under the age of two, but failed (Matthew 2:13-16).  

* When the Lord Jesus became an adult and was to begin His ministry, He was continually tested by Satan for forty days (Luke 4:1). When Satan could not make Him sin, he went away from Him, "until an opportune time" (Luke 4:13), but throughout His ministry continued to provoke people, especially the religious leaders and teachers, against him, attempting to obstruct His ministry, one way or another. 

* Under the machination of the religious leaders (John 11:47-50), the Lord Jesus was caught and crucified, by forcing the Roman governor Pilate to order putting Him to death. 

* Even though He was enduring the indescribable pain of the cross, He was further tormented by being mocked there too (Matthew 27:41; Luke 23:36); But the Lord did not utter any harsh words or profanity, nor did He have any ill-will against His tormentors, but He prayed for the forgiveness of those who persecuted Him; in that situation too, He committed no sin (Luke 23:34). 

* He was tempted to come down from the cross, with the assurance that if He did, they would believe in Him (Matthew 27:40, 42). If the Lord had listened to them and come down from the cross, the work of His sacrifice would have remained incomplete, and would have failed.  

* Satan must have thought that now this is the end of the Lord; There is no one left to stop him now. But on the third day, the resurrection of the Lord Jesus turned the tables on all His satisfaction and plans. After the Lord's resurrection, Satan immediately implemented a plot to falsify the Lord's resurrection (Matthew 28:13-15). 

    But the Lord not only thwarted every move of Satan, but He also showed that the human body has the ability to withstand, and defeat, Satan's machinations, temptations, and trials. All of these efforts of Satan only made God's work more effective instead of hindering it. These efforts of Satan became facts fulfilling and attesting to the prophecies concerning the Lord Jesus given in God's Word; they became a means of bringing Glory to the Lord God, and became examples of the eventual and everlasting triumph of Truth. We will continue to look at this subject of the Lord's obedience to God in the next article too. 

    The Lord Jesus in the human flesh has shown that man, by being obedient to God, can face and overcome Satan with the help of God. The same Lord God today fills His disciples with the power of His Holy Spirit. God the Holy Spirit comes and resides in the disciples of the Lord Jesus from the moment they repent of their sins and submit their lives to the Lord (Ephesians 1:13-14). With the presence of the Lord by our side, and with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit living in us, we human beings can also conquer Satan, once we decide to become His disciples and live in obedience to Him. Have you asked for and received this wonderful gift of being His disciple from the Lord? If you have still not done so, if you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
