बाइबल और अंतरिक्ष भाग - 1
पिछले लेख में हमने बाइबल और विज्ञान के मध्य तथाकथित विरोधाभास के विषय में कुछ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण और आधारभूत बातों को देखा था। वास्तविकता यह है कि न तो बाइबल विज्ञान के विरुद्ध है, और न विज्ञान बाइबल अथवा परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध है, और न उन्हें झूठ या गलत प्रमाणित करता है। प्रत्येक मानवीय रचना के समान, समस्त सृष्टि भी अपने सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर के पक्ष में गवाही देती है, उसके विरुद्ध नहीं जाती है। विज्ञान, परमेश्वर की रचना का अध्ययन करने, उस को दिखाने और समझाने का एक साधन है। परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य को अपने स्वरूप, अपनी समानता में बनाया है (उत्पत्ति 1:26-27); अपने गुणों का एक अंश मनुष्यों में डाला है, इसीलिये मनुष्यों की रचनात्मकता, कौशल, ज्ञान, विज्ञान, कला, साहित्य तथा अन्य हर रचना, तथा उसके सभी सकारात्मक गुण, जो अन्य किसी भी पशु से कहीं अधिक बढ़कर है, परमेश्वर के द्वारा उसे दिये गए गुणों को प्रमाणित नहीं कर रहा है। सृष्टि हमेशा, अपने सृष्टिकर्ता को प्रमाणित ही करती है।
हमने एक अन्य बात पर भी ध्यान दिया था, जिसे बाइबल और विज्ञान से सम्बन्धित किसी भी चर्चा में हमेशा ही ध्यान में रखा चाहिये, कि बाइबल न तो विज्ञान की पुस्तक है, और न ही वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण से और वैज्ञानिक शब्दावली में लिखी गई है। इस की पुस्तकों को, हजारों वर्ष पहले, जब अधिकाँश लोग अशिक्षित होते थे, साधारण लोगों तक, उन्हें समझ में आने वाली भाषा में, परमेश्वर का सन्देश पहुँचाने के लिये लिखा गया था। पिछले लेख में हमने सृष्टि की रचना से सम्बन्धित कुछ वैज्ञानिक बातों के द्वारा देखा था कि हजारों वर्ष पहले लिखी हुई बाइबल की वे बातें और जानकारियाँ परमेश्वर और उस के वचन का समर्थन करती हैं। आज से इसी कड़ी में हम बाइबल में अन्तरिक्ष और सितारों से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को देखेंगे कि वे भी परमेश्वर और उस के वचन का समर्थन करते हैं।
आजके लिए अंतरिक्ष अर्थात खगोल-शास्त्र से संबंधित केवल दो तथ्यों पर ध्यान कीजिए:
दूरबीन और अंतरिक्ष में स्थापित किए गए हबल टेलिस्कोप से भी लगभग 4000 हजार वर्ष पहले बाइबल में व्यवस्थाविवरण 10:14 में "स्वर्ग(आकाश) और सबसे ऊंचा स्वर्ग (आकाश)" ("heavens and the highest heavens") तथा "सबसे ऊंचे स्वर्ग; heaven of heavens" (1 राजाओं 8:27) की बात लिखी है। अब दूरबीन तथा हबल टेलिस्कोप के द्वारा विज्ञान यह कहने पाया है कि आकाशमण्डल में एक तो हमारे चारों ओर का वातावरण वाला 'आकाश' अर्थात ‘स्थान’ है, तथा उससे आगे फिर सुदूर अंतरिक्ष है जिसमें सितारे और नक्षत्र आदि स्थित हैं - अर्थात् "स्वर्ग(आकाश) और सबसे ऊंचा स्वर्ग (आकाश)" यानि कि अशिक्षित, साधारण लोगों के समझ पाने की भाषा में पृथ्वी का आकाश और उससे परे एक बहुत ही विशाल स्थान (स्पेस)। और हाल ही में अन्तरिक्ष में भेजा गया जेम्स वेब टेलिस्कोप ऐसी अद्भुत जानकारियाँ दे रहा है जो वैज्ञानिकों और खगोल-शास्त्रियों को सृष्टि की उत्पत्ति, रचना, आकार, सीमा, आदि के बारे में अपनी अनेकों धारणाओं पर विचार करने, उन्हें सुधरने या बदलने के लिये प्रेरित कर रहा है। किन्तु उसकी एक भी जानकारी ने परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की किसी बात का खण्डन नहीं किया है, गलत नहीं दिखाया है।
बिना किसी उपकरण की सहायता के, मानवीय आँखों से देखे जा सकने वाले सितारों की संख्या लगभग 5000 ही आँकी गई है। दूरबीन के आविष्कार से हजारों वर्ष पहले, जब किसी भी मनुष्य के पास अंतरिक्ष में दूर तक देख पाने का कोई साधन नहीं था, आज से लगभग 2600 वर्ष पहले परमेश्वर ने अपने नबी, यिर्मयाह की भविष्यवाणी में अपने लोगों की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी की तुलना देने के लिए लिखवाया था, "जैसा आकाश की सेना की गिनती और समुद्र की बालू के किनकों का परिमाण नहीं हो सकता है उसी प्रकार मैं अपने दास दाऊद के वंश और अपने सेवक लेवियों को बढ़ा कर अनगिनत कर दूंगा" (यिर्मयाह 33:22); अर्थात समुद्र-तट के बालू के किनकों के समान आकाशमंडल के सितारों की संख्या अनगिनत है। गैलीलियो ने 17वीं शताब्दी में दूरबीन का आविष्कार किया और आकाशमंडल के सितारों और नक्षत्रों को देखना तथा अध्ययन करना आरंभ किया, और पहचाना कि अंतरिक्ष कितना विशाल है और उसके खगोलीय पिंड कितने अनगिनत हैं। आज भी वैज्ञानिकों ने अंतरिक्ष में अनेकों प्रकार के बहुत दूर तक देख पाने वाले उपकरणों के द्वारा अरबों-खरबों सितारों, नक्षत्रों, खगोल पिंडों के होने का अनुमान लगाया है, उनके बारे में बहुत सी बातों की खोज की है, किन्तु अंतरिक्ष का कुल आकार, उसकी सीमाएं, और सितारों की सही संख्या अभी भी एक अनुमान है, स्थापित तथ्य नहीं। यिर्मयाह में होकर परमेश्वर द्वारा बाइबल में लिखवाई गई बात, लिखवाए जाने के 2600 वर्ष बाद भी सही है, अकाट्य है।
अगले लेख में हम अन्तरिक्ष से सम्बन्धित बाइबल की बातों को देखना और समझना ज़ारी रखेंगे। हम देख रहे हैं कि एक बार फिर, सृष्टि अपने सृष्टिकर्ता की पुष्टि करती है, उसकी महिमा करती है; उसके विरुद्ध कोई गवाही नहीं देती है। यही अद्भुत सृष्टिकर्ता, आपके प्रति अपने महान प्रेम के अंतर्गत, आपको, स्वेच्छा से प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास करने और उसका शिष्य बनकर परमेश्वर के साथ रहने और संसार पर आने वाले विनाश से बच जाने के लिए निमंत्रण दे रहा है।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Bible and Space Part - 1
In the previous article, we had considered some very important and very basic things about the alleged contradiction between the Bible and science. The truth is that neither is the Bible contrary to science, nor is science against God and the Bible, nor does it disprove their existence nor proves them wrong or false. Like every human creativity, the creation also testifies in favor its creator God, not against Him. Science is a tool, a method of studying and explaining God’s creation. God created man in His image (Genesis 1:26-27); and placed in man a part of His attributes. Therefore, man’s creativity, his abilities, knowledge, science, arts, literature and every other creation and his positive attributes - far beyond any and every animal, testifies of his God given attributes. Creation always only testifies in favor of its Creator.
We had also taken note of another thing, that should always be kept in mind during any discussion about the Bible and science. The Bible is not a book about science; neither is it written with a scientific perspective, nor does it use any scientific terminology and expressions. Its books were written thousands of years ago, at a time when people were largely illiterate, and were written to convey God’s message to those people in a manner that they could conveniently understand. In the previous article we saw through some of the scientific facts about the creation of the universe, that the scientific information given in God's Word, the Bible, written there centuries before scientists discovered them only now, only supports God and God’s Word. In this series, today we will begin to see some things about Space and stars given in the Bible, and how they too speak in favor of God and His Word.
For today just consider two facts related to space and astronomy:
About 4000 thousand years before the invention of the telescope and the Hubble telescope being installed in space, in the Bible, in Deuteronomy 10:14 "heaven and the highest heavens" has been mentioned; and 1 Kings 8:27 speaks of "heaven and the heaven of heavens". Now, through the use of the telescope and the Hubble Telescope, science has been able to say that one ‘heaven’ or ‘space’ is the sky and the atmosphere around us on earth, and beyond that there is another ‘heaven’, i.e., a vast space in which stars and constellations etc. are located - effectively "heaven and the highest heavens" and "heaven and the heaven of heavens" when stated in an uneducated common man’s easy-to-understand language. And, the James Web Telescope, recently sent into space has been providing such astounding information about this outer space that the Scientists and Astronomers are being compelled to re-evaluate and re-formulate their concepts and beliefs about the origin of the Universe, its construction, form, limits, etc., to modify and change their beliefs. But nothing that James Web Telescope has provided, has contradicted or proved anything about God’s Word the Bible to be wrong.
The number of stars that can be seen by the human eye without the aid of any equipment has been estimated to be only about 5000. Thousands of years before the invention of the telescope, when no man had any means of seeing far into space, about 2600 years ago, God through the prophecy of His prophet, Jeremiah had compared the increase in the number of his people to. "As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me." (Jeremiah 33:22); i.e., the number of stars in the sky is as innumerable as the grains of sand on the beach. Galileo invented the telescope in the 17th century and began observing and studying the stars and constellations of the sky, and recognized how vast space is and the celestial bodies are innumerable. Even today, through many types of very far-seeing instruments in space, scientists have only been able to estimate the existence of trillions of stars, constellations, celestial bodies. And though they have discovered many things about them, but the actual size and limits of space and the exact number of stars still remains an estimate, not an established fact. What God wrote in the Bible through Jeremiah remains irrefutable, it is still true, 2600 years after it was written.
In the next article, we will continue to see and understand some other things related to Space and stars, written in the Bible. We are seeing that once again, the creation is only testifying in favor of its Creator; is glorifying Him; is not speaking against Him. This same Creator, because of His unfathomable love for you, is inviting you to voluntarily come to faith in the Lord Jesus and become His disciple to live with God for eternity, and escape the judgment and destruction impending upon the world.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
