    पिछले लेख में हमने देखा है कि बाइबल के अनुसार न तो ऐसा कोई निर्देश है, और न ही कोई उदाहरण है कि किसी नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी से किसी भी आधार पर, प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने से रुके रहने के लिए कहा गया हो। लेकिन फिर भी कुछ कलीसियाओं में यह “प्रतीक्षा की अवधि” देखने को मिलती है। साथ ही डिनॉमिनेशनल कलीसियाओं में इसका एक संशोधित रूप भी देखने को मिलता है, जहाँ किशोरों को प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने की अनुमति तब ही मिलती है जब उनका “दृढ़ीकरण” हो जाता है। जब तक उनका यह “दृढ़ीकरण” नहीं हो जाता है, कलीसिया के किशोरों को न तो प्रभु भोज की अनुमति होती है, और न ही उन्हें दिया जाता है। यद्यपि परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में इस पारंपरिक रीति, “दृढ़ीकरण” और उसकी अनिवार्यता या आवश्यकता का कोई उल्लेख नहीं है; यह पूर्णतः मनुष्यों के द्वारा बनाई गई रीति है जिसे मण्डली पर थोप दिया गया है, उनके लिए अनिवार्य बना दिया गया है।

        किसी न किसी रूप में इस “प्रतीक्षा अवधि” के लागू किए जाने का मुख्य कारण है, धार्मिक अगुवों के द्वारा प्रभु भोज के लेने को बपतिस्मे के साथ जोड़ देना। यद्यपि यह बाइबल के अनुसार सही तो नहीं है, किन्तु मसीहियत की पारंपरिक समझ यही है कि उद्धार पाने तथा मसीही कहलाए जाने के लिए बपतिस्मा अनिवार्य है। हम आज तो बाइबल से इस विवादास्पद धारणा और इसके औचित्य के बारे में कोई चर्चा नहीं करेंगे; यदि परमेश्वर की इच्छा में हुआ तो बाद में कभी इसे देखेंगे। प्रभु भोज के बारे में इस धारणा के पीछे का तर्क यह है कि क्योंकि प्रभु भोज में केवल ईसाई या मसीही ही भाग ले सकते हैं, और क्योंकि जिसका बपतिस्मा नहीं हुआ है वह मसीही नहीं है, कम से कम पूर्ण रीति से तो नहीं, इसलिए उसे प्रभु भोज में भाग लेने की अनुमति नहीं है। पारंपरिक और डिनॉमिनेशनल कलीसियाओं में, जहाँ शिशुओं को “बपतिस्मा” देने का प्रचालन है, उनकी धारणाओं और मान्यताओं के अनुसार “दृढ़ीकरण” की रीति का पालन, व्यक्ति के “मसीही” हो जाने की प्रक्रिया को पूरा कर देता है, इसलिए “दृढ़ीकरण” के बाद वह जन प्रभु भोज में भाग ले सकता है। लेकिन यहाँ पर एक विवादास्पद प्रश्न है, हमने पिछले लेखों में सुसमाचारों में से प्रभु यीशु द्वारा प्रभु भोज को स्थापित करने तथा उसके बाद 1 कुरिन्थियों 17-34 से व्यक्ति को अपने आप को जाँचने और उचित रीति से प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने के बारे में सीखा है, बाइबल की उन बातों पर ये लोग कितना ध्यान देते हैं, उनका पालन करने के लिए कितने इच्छुक होते हैं? क्या किसी ने कभी विचार किया और प्रश्न उठाया है कि मनुष्यों की बनाई हुई रीति, परमेश्वर के निर्देशों और वचन से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण क्यों और कैसे हो गई? क्या परमेश्वर के वचन और निर्देशों की अवहेलना करके, मनुष्यों द्वारा बनाई रीतियों का पालन करने की अनिवार्यता को थोपना बुद्धिमत्ता की बात है? क्या यह परमेश्वर के वचन और निर्देशों का ठट्ठा उड़ाना नहीं है कि एक सच्चे और खरे नए विश्वासी को प्रभु भोज लेने से रोक दिया जाए क्योंकि उसे अभी बपतिस्मा नहीं मिला है; लेकिन उसी सभा में एक ऐसे व्यक्ति को जो अधर्मी जीवन जी रहा है प्रभु भोज दे दिया जाए, क्योंकि उसने उस डिनॉमिनेशन या जिस कलीसिया का वह सदस्य है, उसकी रीतियों और परंपराओं का निर्वाह किया है?

       हम इसके बारे में आगे, अगले लेख में देखेंगे; तथा देखेंगे की यह तर्क व्यर्थ है, मन गढ़ंत है। यह एक और ऐसे किसी तर्क के समान है जिसे मनुष्यों ने बनाया और परमेश्वर के वचन से भी बड़ा बनाकर उसके ऊपर थोप दिया है।

       यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

How Soon After Coming To Faith? (2)

 

       In the previous article we have seen that Biblically, there is no instruction or example of any Born-Again Christian Believer being asked to wait for any period of time before partaking in the Lord’s Table, for any reason. But still, this “waiting period” is seen amongst some Churches. Also, it is seen in a modified form in the denominational Churches, where participation in the Holy Communion is permitted after the youth have received their “Confirmation.” Without receiving this “Confirmation” the youth is neither permitted, nor administered the Holy Communion. Although, in God’s Word the Bible, there is no mention of this traditional ritual of “Confirmation” and its necessity; it is a purely man-made ritual that has been imposed upon the congregation, and made mandatory.

        The main reason for this “waiting period”, in one form or the other, is because the religious leaders have linked the partaking of the Lord’s Table with baptism. Although not Biblical, but according to the traditional and denominational understanding of Christianity, baptism is essential for salvation and for being considered a “Christian.” We are not going to be discussing the Biblical standing and validity of this contention today; if it is in God’s will, we may take it up later. The logic is that since only “Christians” are to partake of the Lord’s Table, therefore, since the one who is not baptized, is not a Christian, at least not a ‘full-fledged one,’ therefore, he is not to be allowed to participate in the Holy Communion. In the traditional and denominational Churches, according to their beliefs and understanding, after infant baptism, fulfilling the ritual of “Confirmation” completes this process of the person becoming a “Christian,” therefore, after “Confirmation,” one can participate in the Holy Communion. But then a debatable point is, how much importance do they give to what we have seen and learnt from the Gospel accounts about Lord’s establishing the Holy Communion, and to the necessity of a person examining himself and then participating worthily as we have previously seen in our study from 1 Corinthians 17-34? Does anybody bother to ponder and question, why a man-made tradition is made more important and essential than God’s instructions and Word? Is it at all prudent to disregard God’s Word and instructions, but insist that man-made traditions be followed? Is it not a mockery of God’s Word and instructions that a sincere new Christian Believer might be denied the Holy Communion, since he is not yet baptized; but in that very Communion service the Holy Communion will be given to a person who is known to be living an ungodly life, simply because he has fulfilled the prescribed rituals of his denomination or the Church he attends?

        Even in some of the Churches and Assemblies of the Born-Again Believers, this “waiting period” is seen. Again, because partaking in the Lord’s Table has been associated with baptism, and baptism has been made the precondition to taking part in the Holy Communion. Usually, again as a man-made tradition without any Biblical support for it, baptism is not given immediately after a person comes to faith in the Lord Jesus. But the person is asked to wait, he is put under observation, and after the religious elders of the Church or Assembly are satisfied, they allow the person to be baptized, and then to participate in the Holy Communion. The association of baptism and partaking in the Lord’s Table is often justified on the basis of Acts 2:41-42, where it is first written in verse 41 that the devout Jews who accepted the Lord Jesus as their savior, were baptized, and after that it is written in verse 42 that they continued steadfastly in the Four Pillars of Christian Faith, one of which is Breaking of Bread, i.e., participating in the Holy Communion.

       We will consider further about this in the next article, and see that this argument is vain, and contrived. It is no more than another man-made tradition that has been imposed over and above the Word of God.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

लगभग सभी समुदाय और डिनॉमिनेशन अपनी मण्डली के सदस्यों के लिए यह अनिवार्य करते हैं कि वे डिनॉमिनेशन या समुदाय के द्वारा निर्धारित किये गए नियमों और रीतियों का पालन करें, चाहे वे परमेश्वर के वचन से भिन्न ही क्यों न हों, या, उन में कोई गलती ही क्यों न हो; अर्थात वे मनुष्य के वचन को परमेश्वर के वचन के ऊपर रखते हैं। इस गलत धारणा का पालन करने को बढ़ावा देते समय वे लोगों को आश्वस्त करते हैं कि ऐसा करने से वे लोग परमेश्वर द्वारा धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य हो जाएँगे; मानो, परमेश्वर मनुष्यों द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों और रीतियों से बन्धा हुआ और उन के अधीन है, और मनुष्यों ने जो कह दिया परमेश्वर वह मानने और करने के लिए बाध्य है। यह कितना मूर्खता पूर्ण है, और फिर भी, वे चाहे धार्मिक अगुवे हों अथवा सामान्य लोग हों, सभी इसे मानते और इस पर विश्वास करते हैं, और ऐसे व्यवहार करते हैं मानो यही सच है।

इस धारणा, कि डिनॉमिनेशनों के नियमों और रीतियों का पालन करने के द्वारा लोग परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य हो जाते हैं, का खोखलापन और व्यर्थता प्रकट हो जाते हैं, यदि कोई किसी कारण वश एक से दूसरी डिनॉमिनेशन या समुदाय का सदस्य बनना चाहे। वह व्यक्ति अपनी पहले की डिनॉमिनेशन के नियमों और रीतियों का कितनी भी निष्ठा तथा प्रतिबद्धता से पालन करता आया हो, और वहाँ पर वह चाहे जितना भी योग्य और ‘धर्मी’ क्यों न माना जाता हो, किन्तु फिर भी वह नए डिनॉमिनेशन में तब तक धर्मी और स्वीकार्य नहीं माना जाएगा, जब तक कि वह उस नए डिनॉमिनेशन के नियमों, उस की विधियों और रीतियों को पूरा नहीं कर लेगा। ज़रा विचार कीजिए, पिछली डिनॉमिनेशन में वह वहाँ के नियमों और रीतियों के पालन के कारण परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य और धर्मी माना जाता था; तो फिर अब वहाँ से इस दूसरी डिनॉमिनेशन में आने के बाद, उस नई डिनॉमिनेशन के धार्मिक अगुवों की दृष्टि में, जब तक कि वह उन के नियमों और रीतियों को नहीं मान लेता है, वह परमेश्वर और मनुष्यों दोनों को अस्वीकार्य और अधर्मी कैसे हो गया? क्या यह लोगों का मूर्ख बनाना और परमेश्वर का ठट्ठा उड़ाना नहीं है? क्या इन धार्मिक अगुवों ने कभी इस बात के बारे में सोच है कि वे न्याय के समय परमेश्वर के सामने अपने आप को सही कैसे ठहराएंगे? क्या वे सोचते हैं कि उन के द्वारा मनुष्य के वचनों को परमेश्वर के वचन से ऊपर रखने को परमेश्वर हल्के में लेकर यूँ ही नजरन्दाज कर देगा, जब कि उसने अपने वचन को अपने बड़े नाम से भी अधिक महत्व दिया है (भजन 138:2), और उन्हें कोई दण्ड नहीं देगा? ये लोग उन असंख्य आत्माओं के लिए क्या उत्तर देंगे जो इन के द्वारा प्रभु के नाम में प्रचार किए गए शैतानी झूठ और भ्रामक बातों पर विश्वास करने, और मनुष्यों की बनाई हुई बातों के लागू किए और पालन करवाए जाने के द्वारा, नरक में चले गए?

The Elementary Principles – 81

Eternal Judgment – 2

 

Since the last article we have begun considering the sixth elementary principle given in Hebrew 6:1-2, i.e., “Eternal Judgment.” We have seen that though God is a loving, patient, longsuffering God, but He is not a ‘forever-suffering and forever-patient’ God. There is an end to His patience (Genesis 6:3); and He already has ordained a time for the judgment of the whole world, of all people; and has appointed the Lord Jesus as the Judge. We had also seen that a common notion amongst the “christians” that they are all the people of God, and no matter how they have lived their lives, eventually God will forgive them all and take them to be in heaven with them, has no Biblical basis or support. As it says in Acts 17:30, God has commanded everyone, everywhere to repent of their sins “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.” The Bible is very clear that there is no salvation without repentance of sins, seeking forgiveness of sins from the Lord, accepting Him as savior, submitting life to the Lord, and deciding to henceforth live in obedience to the Lord and His Word. Then we also began pondering over a very sad and unfortunate fact of Christendom, that most of the clergy, i.e., the religious leaders of the various denominations and churches, do not preach, teach, and emphasize to their congregations about this Biblical facts related to sin and salvation, that makes all the difference between a person getting eternal life or eternal hell after their death. Today we will see further from where we left off on this in the previous article.

Instead of preaching, teaching, and emphasizing to their congregations about the Biblical God given way and examples of accepting and dealing with their sins, i.e., about what the Lord Jesus had come to do and sacrificed His life on the Cross of Calvary for, most often the clergy and religious leaders, generally speaking, promote a wrong and unBiblical notion of “being righteous through works.” They preach, teach, and emphasize that by fulfilling the denominational religious practices, traditions, feasts, and festivals, i.e., the man-made and man-imposed denominational rules and regulations, people will be seen and accepted as righteous by God. They very conveniently forget the teachings and examples from God’s Word that negate this notion of fulfilling laws to be righteous and acceptable to God. The religious leaders like Nicodemus and Paul who were very strict in their adherence to the Law (John 3:1, 3, 5; Philippians 3:4-9); the Rich Young Ruler who claimed to have fulfilled the Commandments since his youth (Matthew 19:16-21); the ‘devout’ Jews who had gathered in Jerusalem to fulfill the Law (Acts 2:5, 37-38) – none of them were saved by following the Law and its rules and regulations – although it was man-made, but the God given Law that they were adhering to and following. Whereas the present-day religious leaders try to impose not the God given, but the man-made laws upon the people. It seems that they have never read, or, never pondered over Biblical verses like “Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin” (Romans 3:20), “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9), “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5).

Practically all the sects and denominations make it necessary for their congregations to obey their denominationally ordained rules and regulations, even if they are at variance from God’s Word, or even there is something incorrect in them; i.e., they keep man’s word over and above God’s Word. While promoting this wrong notion they assure people of being righteous and acceptable to God by doing so; as if God was subject to man-made regulations and was under compulsion to obey and act according to what men have commanded. How foolish this is, and yet whether religious leaders or the general people, they all accept and believe it, behave as if it was true.

The hollowness and vanity of their notion of people being acceptable to God by following their denominational rules and regulations becomes apparent if someone from some other sect or denomination wants to join a different sect or denomination. No matter how sincerely and with however great commitment he may have been following the rules and regulations of his previous denomination, and however worthy and ‘religious’ he may have been, yet he will not be seen as acceptable and righteous in this new denomination, till he fulfills the rules, regulations, and requirements of this new denomination. Give it a thought, in the previous denomination, he was seen as righteous and acceptable to God because of fulfilling and following the rules and regulations of that denomination. So now, on shifting from there to another, how and why, in the eyes of the religious leaders of this new denomination, does he become unacceptable and unrighteous – both to God and man, till he fulfills the requirements of this denomination? Is this not fooling people and mocking God? Have these religious leaders ever thought how would they justify themselves before God at judgment time? Do they think that Go will take their putting man’s word over and above God’s Word lightly, since He has magnified His Word above even His great name (Psalm 138:2), and not take them to task for it? What answer will they give to the Lord for the countless souls that have gone to hell because of the satanic lies and deceptions they have preached, taught and imposed through their man-made rules and regulation, and that too done in the name of the Lord?

We will carry on from here in the next article about this topic of “Eternal Judgment.”

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
